"Krieger. Back for my fourth and final segment of today's show. So i have one more game to recap from the full sixteen game week. One sleet and then i'm going to get into the ten best games for week. Two things to watch from those games what to be looking for and then some other questions week to that we can find out. And then we'll talk a lot about the future of this season. And then i'm gonna get into a little bit of a college football overview and that should wrap up for today's show so my final game that i'm going to recap is the rams versus the bears. The rams one thirty four to fourteen twenty point win rams offense just looked incredible and not only. Did you look incredible. Matt stafford losing credible. He looked happy. He looked so excited to be anywhere. But playing for the detroit. Lions and if the offense apart the week matt stafford was threw for three to twenty yards three touchdowns no picks was hitting big. Plays was hitting stuff over the middle. I mean he's going to be able to execute. Shaw mcveigh's offense exactly how sean mcvay designed in. I think it's just. The excitement was exuding from both of those guys so they do do spreading it around rams but would have weapons tyler. Higby jefferson is a great speedy. Wideout deep threat cooper cup robert woods coming out you kind of pick your poison type deal. Stafford mets average is really going to shine this year. With sean mcvay. I was skeptical. But it really was a match made in heaven. And i don't know who's gonna win the nfc west division. But i know the rams are going to be tough to be. And i i just.

"Much time you say me about ten seconds. I mean it's ten seconds. We also like when someone texts you the letter k. Instead of okay. What are you doing with that time. Or you're gonna add that up and so you can watch an eleven minute and youtube video of a skateboarder bouncing his nuts off a railing. Is that what we're doing. Someone's texted me wide instead of thankyou. Ty your nuts off epic back here on the richeisenshow everybody okay. All right all right. Chris tell me about it. Hey rich your fantasy out. How what's the longest. Somebody went to draft a player. Because your fantasy league your nfl. Fantasy league is famously on time in timed drafting of players. They could take as long as they want. What's the longest somebody took to draft. It wasn't so much over. There wasn't an egregious like twenty minute. Walk like we've had in years past however there was one pick that was just what absolutely brutal so our first two rounds or are right so when we get started we start quote unquote in the third round. Yes so in. The fifth round with his third pick one of our buddies took an obviously no no disrespect to this specific player. But he took tyler higby in the third round and did he. How long did it take. I'm not concerned about the general. I'm just talking about probably ten minutes for him to come up with that decision so beyond the pale. He took him before. You know rogers and tom brady and prescott. What so angry and upset really bad takes ten minutes to to to make an egregious pick on just the fantasy value right. Just average draft position like right even rage. Other quarterbacks are on the board he makes you wait ten minutes for the worst possible selection. Come up with tight. End would probably admit to you. I should not be this early. Over over aaron rodgers and brady and dak and herbert. And that's over justin. Herbert quarterback that early i understand shouldn't be taken tyler. Higby somebody wait ten minutes to. That's what's he physically there because they're so he was one of the five drafting remotely. So you had five drafting remotely. Yeah and nine physically physically. Okay rich i think i figured it out. These guys just really liked each other spending time with terrific. Because that's the only reason that i can spend ten minutes and not put some rather hang out with somebody without something taking this long. So how long was the draft. I know so when i called it on friday. I was seven and a half hour noon. You thought seven o'clock at seven o'clock we the first pick went off at twelve. Sixteen local tampa. What you sing. A national anthem took flyover while we give out. We talk about last season. Cap the awards and everything and then we get gone. Oh god so. There's a pre-game.
NFL Wide Receiver Rankings 2021
"Football is right around the corner today. We're going through our consensus wide receiver. Reggie everybody likes wide receiver. Don't they wide receiver right gang. Judge go this is a big one guy. You can win your drafts with a lot of these wide. Receivers that we're about to talk about even if you drop them round one and round two and round three. Yes you certainly can. But we'll get to some. They can get much later. That are going to provide a lot of value in two thousand twenty one year. Yeah i can honestly say that. The one draft strategy to draft chinese. I've never taken a quarterback around one. And i have not taken a wide receiver in round one of any of my drought so far even super flex even supervise just getting. We just got some breaking news on sleeper that darryl henderson was injured in practice not return man would that be a huge injury to the rams funk season is funky town yeah davy jones. One of 'em jake fog or just a staffer. The woods cup higby season all adds to a man there on. Oh i hit. He's not gonna do me dirty two years in a row. That was a a when you're saying he is buy his jersey. If you finish for you. Oh i think i have to. That's too bad center role egg. I mean i. I don't own for that would be the economic shared the name first letter of the last name. I think it's a lot gusting at speaking injury. In preseason at all the things what are some preseason thoughts on wide receivers anything standing out or any injuries standing out anything. We should be on the lookout for as we get closer to the season. Starting all it's been kind of interesting like if you go to. Espn and just look. At the wide receivers. Half of them are listed as questionable. We're still a couple of weeks away from the season. So it's not overly alarming at this point but there are some injuries that are more alarming than others. That will get shortly. But let's start with our top wide. Receivers are we have devante adams tyreek hill stefan big calvin ridley the andrea hopkins and aj brown rounding out our top six. Which one of these guys do you wanna talk about. I think we could talk about devante. Adams tyreek hill. Just be as. I think i flip flop though is at least thirty times this off season gone back and forth between the two especially with rogers coming back. I don't wanna put davante adams at number one. You know contract year roger. They're going to go the big last dance. He's going to have all of the targets that he wants think he can get two hundred targets in a season. I don't but i think he's going to pace wide receivers when it comes to target. So i have devante adam just my number one. As well i think the touchdown potential. He is the favourite to lead the league in receiving touchdowns this year. Aaron rodgers coming back. That chemistry is as good as any quarterback wide receiver in the entire league. Yeah i had tyreek hill number one until aaron rodgers. I made it official that he was coming back and then davante adams shot right back up to number one. I have devante at number two tyreek at one. Like i said i flip flop all over but even as projections. I have devante adams at one hundred and sixty five targets. And i think that's conservative to be honest. I think it is still i. I got about one seventy five. Yeah i don't think he comes anywhere near two hundred I have team range. That one one sixty one seventy i. I also kind of a little bit worried. I think this offense could be worse than it was last year and cobb amari rounders are two factors that they did not have last year. That are legitimate receiving options. I do think that devante adam. I'm not gonna say this. I think he could actually Kind of disappoints fantasy owners this year. I'm not projecting it that way. But i see the path to it happening this year. Unlike in yourself.

"Of a code as they give out all right all right all right. Maybe i'll maybe i'll do it. I signed up your code. Get like i any more than that. I use my code tier. Three noah fant dallas scattered. Tyler higby curious about all these guys. Teddy bridgewater the starting quarterback in denver announced today. What what does that mean. Joe for fans and the rest of the broncos pass catching. I think it means it's going to be more consistent and and you know we know what teddy bridgewater is probably a top thirty two quarterback but probably not in the in the area where a gene isn't looking to upgrade or him but i think he's somebody who can competently get the ball in the hands of receivers and remembering carolina. He supported three top. Twenty five fantasy wide receivers last year so no fan. I think's going to benefit from that. I think he's one of the top three targets here along with jerry. Judy who might love and courtly sutton this year of no advancement dealing with some injuries in training camp and still wanna see that level of consistency out of him. There are some questions about him. Which is why he's in this tier. He's vying for targets with judy sutton in k. J. hamblur and tim patrick and they're going to run the ball so you there's there's a level of concern there when it comes to dallas qatar. Zakar is still in philadelphia. That's the concern is zakar. It's wasn't wasn't in philadelphia. I'd have got her above logan. Thomas at that's where i had him earlier this off season but you have to adjust based on news or the lack thereof so unfortunately ross. that was. that was the problem with dow wisconsin. I think he's more talented than earth. At this point hurts has been looking for him in camp. But they're still the competition with zach. Ertz there tyler. Higby last year. One of the breakout. But he split snaps gerald everett. Gerald everett's gone. They add over one hundred and thirty targets combined magic stafford's in but they still viewed as a rotational player. They have bryson hopkins whom they drafted in the fourth round last year. Very clearly with the eye towards gerald everett moving on in the off season which happened then. They drafted jacob harris this season. So i still have questions on higby if you were to ask me who. I feel the best about from this year in terms of roll. It would be higby though. I just don't know how many targets he's gonna get how much bryson hopkins gonna play. How much jacob harris fly. So i know he's in your tier five or whatever but i really think irks looks good man. I mean when i had been eagles practices urges look good. He stayed after the walk through to catch extra balls. You look good in the first preseason game when he got time you know. I think he's a really interesting one. There's all that speculation. he's not gonna be there. I don't i mean. I kind of feel like it was going to happen. It would have already. But but dude. I'm telling you he. He looks good. He looks like the zach ertz. we knew from fifteen through nineteen. Or whatever. And i think..

"Quarterback till the end downstream. That's what i was going to say to What i've done a bunch of mock drafts. What i'm noticing is. I like my teams a lot. More when i wait on quarterback yeah. It's really nice to have a patrick mahomes or josh allen. Kyla murray type quarterback on your team but they're coming at the expense of a really really good running back or wide receiver. So when i've done all these mock drafts my teams significantly better. When i'm stacking the position players and waiting on quarterback in landing someone like a tom brady aaron rodgers jonesboro later in the draft. So just something to call out. Do a bunch of mock drafts play with different strategies. And see what you like overall as a squad depending on kinda what route you go indefinitely what your league does. It's a group of guys that you draft with every single year. And you know they take quarterbacks early take advantage of that but if you know everyone's gonna double up on quarterback you might have to do some a little bit different than what digested so know who you're driving with a final tidbit here. When it comes to this rankings tears nat wraps up. Our a quarterback rankings. Next episode will be tight end rankings. Will we get a tyler. Higby appearance in that episode man. "I'm gonna start with arguably my most controversial take of the day sam darnold. What's the heartache. And if he is he gonna go sir. Not darnold in slinging. Sam darnold three year career. He's never finished inside of the top. Twenty five at the quarterback position. He's also never thrown for over thirty one hundred yards or twenty touchdowns in a year his career completion percentage sits at fifty nine percent in addition if we look at last year specifically. It's his worst year of his career. Twenty two hundred yards through the air nine touchdowns and eleven interceptions in twelve games. If your take is that sam darnold is bad like you. Just prove that. He's bad like. I don't know where you're going with this but darnold is bad. You're trying to say is gonna finish outside of qb. Thirty two sam darnold careers. Been absolutely terrible. Nobody is going to argue that including myself. It would be pretty easy for somebody to up his career as of bust in move on and in fact. Almost everybody is already done that rightfully so sam. I am one of the few people that still truly believes in you. I'm here to tell you why showtime darnold is going to finish the season as a top twelve quarterback showtime where nicknames coming from you top twelve top twelve quarterback darnold the prospect in darnold product have been polar opposite so far. But let's remember that he was a number three overall pick in the two thousand eighteen draft. He went ahead of josh allen and lamar jackson. The reason he was drafted ahead of them is because scouts were drooling over his size his arm strength and his playmaking ability on the day of the two thousand eighteen draft dane brugge a well-known senior analyst for nfl draft scout listed darnold as the clear number one quarterback in the draft. Obviously that hasn't been the case but the point that i'm trying to make is a talent was there and i know space jam to just came out and unless the monster stolas talents. I'm confident in saying that. Those talents are still in that

"Okay. You are in the early seventh round of a football guys drafts with nat you. Because you obviously don't play them because you commissioner them from your you made up your mind. You don't have a tight end yet. You're going to grab one here. The two best options for you tyler. Higby on the rams and logan thomas on the wf t. Which one you go with. First of all i think both of them are better than injures How this is kate market. Well you know it's not really a commentary mark andrews. You just don't like the they're correct. And that's not to say that. I think lavar is a great fantasy quarterback i think he's a great quarterback in general egypt's not because the right because of his legs. Yeah but if my choices are andrews logan. Thomas tyler higby. I'm higher on b. And thomas One of them is from past experience because higby is now getting thrown to by stafford. And i think obviously that stafford is the second coming of football. Jesus the first coming envelope. Jesus jesus himself i. I really liked Young when i was little stadium because from california so like watching him. Jesus for bryce. Yeah yeah without really little. He was not ripping on your Higby or logan thomas if you could only choose one you're picking higby overtime. No actually. i'm picking thomas. this is interesting. I want to get into this show not now. I'm going to play devil's advocate here. Not saying i agree with you. Shopping district but logan. Thomas has to deal with a couple of factors number. One you got ryan. Fitzpatrick likes to pump the ball. Down the field. You already have terry maclaurin there. Plus the washington football team went out and got curtis samuel. So my concern is logan. Thomas was such a volume guy. I don't know if that volume is still going to be there this year. And he's still going in the seventh round. Why do you like logan thomas over higby. So Scary terry is going to be is now. Unknown factor that teams have to plan around Curtis samuel is also well known in the in the in the. Nfl people are going to figure out how he works in that offense. I think the safe move for fitzpatrick which i had to look this out historically. He does when he needs to kind of go to a guy. That's a safe pass. Because he has to go through his reads he hits a tight end fairly often. And i think. Logan thomas is the perfect type of target for the wave fitzpatrick places game when he's been magic not when he's being tragic because who knows what he's going to do that versus versus stafford with higby while stafford likes is titans and he obviously trusted hawk when he was in detroit He has a lot more options and good options to throw to in la. I mean robert. Woods is fantastic. So other guys name the other receiver Cooper kupp they go back. Those two are just better options than hippias. Heavy will be there and he'll be probably a goal an end zone threat When they're you know. I didn't seven yards but i think for the most part stafford has better options. He's going to utilize those options and fitzpatrick is going to kind of do what he does. And hittite ends fairly regularly. And i think logan thomas is still going to have that volume. You just mentioned. I'm robert wedge. They're going back to back with mike evans in f. Fcc dress right now If somebody asked you hey brice. You've seen a lot of drafts. Who would you rather have your woods or evans. Which one do you like to have the better season. Twenty point one.
Is Tutu Atwell Too Small to Succeed in the NFL? - burst 10
"Okay. This next receiver is a guy that you and i are. differ a lot on and with twenty fifth pick of the second round. The la rams selected to at well from louisville. Receive our end. I get their concerns. Ideal disguise five nine hundred fifty five hundred sixty pounds. People are questioning whether he's gonna be physical enough in the nfl. however this is a player. The i compare to markey's brown. I think that in order to be successful. He's going to have to gain a little bit more weight. But i think that to out will be able to develop especially with the la rams who don't need in the -sarily to be great outta the gecko. But i think that the upside for two atwal is especially there especially if he's going to have the matthew stafford throwing the ball and so it was back to murky brown when he was in college him and he had similar stats. Which is why. I'm bringing up the comparison the first place in his junior. He had seventy five receptions for one thousand three hundred eighteen yards in ten touchdowns. Now let me bring up to two atwal stats from his sophomore season. And they were very similar which end so to atwell in his sophomore year he had sixty nine sevens for one thousand two hundred seventy two yards and eleven receiving touchdowns and so these two guys. Besides the fact marquees brown ways a little bit more to travel or comparable. And if you're an you're seeing now to to out while falling to the fourth maybe even fifth out of your dynasty da and for me. I think that's a little bit ridiculous. Because for a guy that had a similar career to marquees brat and his cod season and similar upset that he should be considered a third round prospect for you and your dynasty rookie draft. And i'd say right now. Marcus brand is probably a second round. Pick but i think he could be worth a second or the round pick and this guy. Who's extremely fast as well. I think he's going to create separations and he's not just the speedster. He's not just the speedster he he gets receptionist as well on anyone who puts up almost thirteen hundred receiving yards in college. Season is a guy that is a good all amount of receiver as well. So don't just think of him as a speedster guy gonna occasionally break open deep here and there so yeah. I'm a big fan of to at wall of the i know Oh and one one last thing. He was picked in the second round so clearly. The rams do have a plan for two while. They're not just investing a second round pick in a receiver that they don't see being a great receiver in the long term and this by the way was the rams first pick all draft. If i'm correct so they might have even viewed him as a late first round pick. We don't know. But the fact that they spent their first round pick onto to By having good receivers shows you how much demands believe into Anyways kyle the floor is yours as to why you don't believe in to atwell. Well it says so much that i don't believe in two two at well. It's the fact. That so i am from louisville in. I watched a lot of this kid. He is a very good receiver. I agree with you. He's not just a burner. he is a good polish receiver and a lot of facets of football but my biggest problem is literally is just. This is and the fact that he's completely buried on the depth chart. I don't see any Any possibility of him getting in and becoming a number one receiver on that team like anytime. Soon robert woods. Anne cooper kupp. Both resigned extensions For last year So you already got those positions locked up now. You lose josh rhinos. But they already spent high draft capital on jefferson. Dan jefferson last year. So that position was already and then they spent another was a third or early fourth round. Pick onto harris harris could be used as a tight end. I think a lot of people saying he's going to be a tight end he he. They say he's listed as a tight end but he also weighs about twenty so if anything he's going to be like a a move titan. I don't see him being like inland blocker. But you already have tyler higby as well. You know it's just it's just a really crowded And you also have to sean jackson that they stopped they brought in you know so i. I'm just not sold that there's any opportunity for at least in the first year to now you like you said maybe a if you invest in this guy at the late third fourth round Me personally i'd rather just take dark throws on running backs. At this point you know even a third. The guys are projected to be thirds shrink or shrink. You know a rash of injuries and all of a sudden guys are going to get plight. Be starters and they're going to be valuable. You can train them. You know it would take a stream lee amount of circumstances for for you to for him to get on the plainfield him to productive enough for another team to to trade for him. It's just wide receivers just a position that you know if you don't put up stats people don't really wanna trade for him at all. I mean it's as simple as that you know and i know he has draft capital That's about the only thing. I think he has known. Form at one hundred fifty five pounds. I just don't know if it's worth the headache you know. But then again it only takes one person to trade and if you're only drafting him with the mindset of trading him than you're probably not gonna draft to tell to till In the first place. And if i don't know if it necessarily applies to atwells value the fact that the community hates him. Because there's going to be at least one guy and if you put up the stats. People are going to be willing to trade for him. So i i get that point but at the same time. I don't know if that necessarily applies to At wellness fair. Knock about the onto to at atwill. Because it's not actually something that to two at walt dead. It's more of the perception that people have about two. But it's it's what he didn't do. He didn't gain the weight which i think he will in the way he's still what in nineteen twenty years old. I think he's still

"I like when you're past when you get past kelsey waller andrews in probably robert tanya at this point like he's proven be consistent like you're punting position. Whatever you get is you're happy with and then you're gone looking at game script. And what is the highest over under. Yeah and what's the highest team total because the tight end. Is there a volume game while those are the ones that are in the top. Four or five. Otherwise it's a touchdown dependent. So whichever team has the higher total. That's what you're taken. Just hope. In the chance of catching and touchdown and somebody with a a lower point total right. You're flipping a coin. Essentially all right. The last pair of tight ends. And i wanna talk about. Are the rams. Tight ends tyler. Higby and gerald everett you guys. I think we finally see tyler. Higby game no team has given up more fantasy points per game to the tight end position than the jets. Give up seventeen per week. I think tyler higby finds the end zone this week. Good luck with that sir. I knew tolerate that even if he hasn't touched down. It's still considered a tyler. Higby weakling i think every i think every gets fry it touch on to like i i could see both of them shredding. The jets like i could see having the better game but also who scores the most points against the jets. The wide receivers the running backs which the data and all of the defense does. It's gonna be a rough week. And i'm sorry you lost higby. Just yes all those blazing wings are gonna be good had some buffalo wings today. That were really really hot. We're buffa q. Wings barbecue mixed in there was very little barbecue that was heavy buffalo sauce and they were hot. I can't wait for this. And i was thinking about the blaze tyler. Hague jersey to wear while doing it no. I don't want that anymore. He let me down. It'd be matt jersey wall of shame. Is tyler higby..

"Sunday night it's the remarkably consistent rams against the niners. Rams are a machine right I. mean they were a little sloppy or slow against the giants but they did a lot of good things. The problem is driving people nuts fantasy. Ross. Because everybody's like Oh. Darryl. Henderson against the giants. He Does Jack Squat, and then it comes out scores two touchdowns last week, O. Tyler higby. Tyler hippies now essentially running behind Gerald ever tyler higby is another one of those tight ends like if you WANNA drop them and pick up Tanya and then you can drop tyler higby. But Robert Woods Cooper. Cup Jared Goff all these guys viable fantasy starts. There's no two ways about that Darryl. Henderson is the Guy Right now? However, cam acres looked really good. I know Ross you're hanging onto a Cam acre share your pretty cited you had excited about how he looked in his return to action there last week. Yeah. Now we just need more more touches more the Baltimore and will he do that? Will he do that? Now that they got his feet wet. So I I, I wonder about camakers. Getting a little bit more but Darryl Henderson's Guy Right. Now, the guys I feel comfortable playing from the rams or Henderson. I'm not comfortable playing. Henderson. But I'd use them as an rb to obviously woods and copy got a fire those guys up in Jared Goff and keep an eye on the tight end situation is Gerald Everett becoming somebody who is usable over higby. I'm a little surprised that you know higby the way he dominated last year they haven't. That he scored three touchdowns against Elliott but unfortunately, it's been a problem. On the other side, the niners what a mess Joe. The quarterback situations really back that was a burn the tape game and They fortunately they have the excuse for Jimmy Garoppolo he had the injury where we don't want him to get hurt. You know he didn't look good. I would expect him to be the starter again. But. It's holding everything back. Really most comes back and I don't know look look good. But why isn't Jerick McKinnon getting the ball more I? I don't get it like. Well I. Think he was targeted on a wheel route on one of on one of garoppolos interceptions. So keep that in mind but McKinnon has to be on your bench I think moster is like a flex play right now. Obviously, you're.

"Next One's interesting. I haven't watched too that much haven't noticed that Tyler higby was a guy that that you're down on. So I'm down on him only because of how people are elevating him in draft this year based on how he finished last year. So he had an entirely strange year and you can't really blame a guy for not getting much of a chance to I two thirds of the season. And then finally get it a chance and acting like his stat line was rob Gronkowski when he was by far the top tight end in fantasy in real life in receptions in yards in all of it in like second half November and December he won people a lot of leagues if they kind of latched onto him. So it's been kind of default to say well, that carry over and who the heck is Gerald Everett and tyler hippies the man. and. I I don't think there's anybody who I lowered more in my ranks at least relative to how many people we play at the position than tyler had them in my top ten originally because I was like sure. And then I watched exactly what it looked like on film and I'll tell you what it looked like was. Our offense is broken in L. A. R. Offensive Line's stopping anybody. We can't really throw the ball down the field anymore we better run I don't know veteran too tight end a lot. We better have a lot of extra blockers in there and we better be ready with little safety valve throws to Tyler higby and it worked like a charm and he made a bunch of plays after the catch and it looked like. I don't know like. I'm trying to think like Jordan Cameron it looked like SORTA. Any every man. I don't WanNa say Darren fellows last year because Darren feels a lot bigger and a lot older and a lot slower and you know basically scored touchdown unless you kind of look like any tight end could have done what he did. And so I'll say. It could happen again but do we think that the rams best offense is a too tight end kind like smash them up throw little outlets throw little throwback screen sedans like. What Sean mcvay wants to be to say nothing of the fact that it all happened when Gerald Everett was hurt and he'll be back. So I don't have higby inside my top twelve titans. I'm not drafting on. The last guy we're going to get into a on our draftkings avoid list, for DFS is David Johnson he got traded to the Houston Texans. I'll say this I'm GONNA put this out there challenge Chris. If any listener can find a run I want say the Arizona cardinals replying hat the Tampa Bay? Bucks. And David Johnson had a carry where he almost looked like he was in quicksand leading. He looked like he could not move I. Remember thinking right there. Wow He is done i. mean he can't run it was I can't really exact play but like he wasn't moving, you want the there was a whole he wasn't going remember thinking like that's about as bad of a run as you'll see from an NFL running back. So I'm with you I, know that the Texans are hyping up. I saw even just that one play was highly concerning me last year. Yeah and All, the caveats that seem to always apply to David Johnson still apply got hurt early in the year. So it's hard to know why he was doing an Alfred Morris Tribute Act as he was playing in the in the first part of the year obviously getting hurt missing the second half and getting benched before he got hurt for Kenyan drake..

What what what brought you to technology? I mean I've known. I know that you've done this for a long time where you coding when you were like six coating exist when I was actually no. That's that's not your did exist. I I would've I was not But I was always taking apart everything else so I always had my box of robot parts so that would income from taking apart a phone or taking part a An alarm clock Not always being able to put it back together But it's like okay cool so I've got a light here and I've got a motor there in connect the battery to this light. That's the beginnings of a robot right and so I was always fascinated with the the the building of things and how things work but then I actually got into. I was very interested in film and so I was I was running around for years old with little video camera making little movies and things like that but these seemed like two very different things at the time but as I why was evenly playing Morio as a kid I was horrible at Mario but I used to look at it like okay if this was a theme park what would that theme park be like Could we have people jump on mushrooms like what logistically like. What would that be like? And so these sort of very different interests of mine later on as bandwidth caught up with sort of the dreams that we're all having you sort of had to learn some technology in order to execute an interactive entertainment experience. So I think that was always my goal all and so it just got to the point where I was doing. No film and graphic design and things like that will make a graphic design. But what if you clicked it. And if you click that part what would happen and so it was just sort of out of necessity that I got into technology and the engineering behind making interactive experiences. I love it because one one of the things I appreciate about you is that you give me the opportunity to have blue sky right. So we'll have a conversation and you're like Blue Sky Sky's the limit and then I'm like what do all these things. Yeah and then you make it breathe right and I'm like here. You go word vomit and all of this stuff in the sky and and You get to make it breathe an such a fantastic and beautiful way. Like I'm so beautiful. Oh it's gorgeous. I'm so pleased with it like every time we look at a new version of it. Emily thank you happy. And by the way that comes from a partnership on your end also where. I've definitely been in situations where I by the way years is not word vomit k every day But I've definitely been situations where maybe it wasn't a bouquet and there is a it's tasked on Someone like Maya and to piece together like what. Yeah but when you present it you have a very clear creative direction on. Here's where we're going here. Are My ideas sort of around that. It's not schizophrenic. It's not all over the place. It's very free. This is exactly where I see it. so yeah but blue skies very important to circle back blue skies very important. Because just don't think about how for a minute I'll I will obsess over the house for a while but first let's just think about what in. Why and again if we had to orchestrate orchestrate inexperienced just close your eyes and describe wouldn't experience would look like and maybe this is not gonna be featuring that maybe this is something that we do a conference or we put in a book somewhere? Maybe that's the best medium for this and I think that having those blue-sky conversations where we don't think about it in the specific way we don't think about it in a box wchs just opens up two great possibilities. I love that anything. That's such a metaphor for life right. I mean it's blue sky and then you figure it out later right you have to get get into that dream space you have to play within your daydreams in order to to kind of give yourself the possibility and inevitably it lands somewhere and the directions and the design. And I'm saying this as I'm thinking about the fact that I've been stressing over a couple of things on scale ability and you're like figure it out we'll get yes. I can say the words but sometimes actually living a little bit harder but also really quickly with that it can also land in Nope. That's a totally acceptable bucket for something to land and throw it out there but at least we felt like we explored it and decided that this is not something that should exist. And I think at that point that leads our brain to sort of just generating more and more knowing that it's safe to throw out bad ideas. Yeah now I love that not being attached right now. Being attached to anything I think's thanks for me. Having a no mile actually gives me some freedom Olga right because then you're like okay that's done onto the next now. I've opened up space for the next idea to come for the next iteration. Or what have you. I actually love the quickness. Yeah those make me. I'm like okay good direction or Yes if yes yeah and when I guess when sometimes the Wen comes with dollar signs line so my question for you looking back At younger son. Yes this imaginative kid of taking things apart. You had to give him any advice. What would you tell your younger self? Keep it up. You'll ever make more collect more robot parts Yeah it's it's I would say yeah. Just keep doing what you're doing and I think that Being immersed with you know people that are really supportive of that is really important. I was really lucky to always have that. So yeah yeah just just keep digging for sure. I love that if you were to be leaving this earth behind and you wanted to leave behind some gold nuggets of wisdom our inspiration. What would you take another man? What's I've noticed them? No I would say same things keep going down and like as long as you going back to sort of. What is your purpose? What is your goal? What makes you happy as long as that? Goal and purpose is making other people full happy at the same time. Why not just keep going at it and I think that if we are all sort of seeing ourselves in our own no private theme park where we're just making all the guests in our world happy I think? Just yeah go at it. Yeah I love that being aware of. You've of what lights you up. As long as you're not doing harm to other and in creating from a place of purpose I think is so important being able to contribute and being in cognizant of that tube of paying attention to what makes you happy and making sure that you are truly making yourself and others happy and I think checking being in with that to make sure that you are fulfilling that role. Were all sort of in this together and be making sure that you are a good player in all all that super super important I love it. Thank you for hosting me. Thank you for hosting me. I love it. "It's is a step in the right direction. But I don't think it's like any any step in the right direction as a positive thing but we all are still going to see in our own likes right and I think that the the competition with your neighbor to see who's dog got the more likes that's one slice of the issue but the other slice is you know what I posted this thing and only half as many people liked my My Way Taco picture from today to last week what am I doing wrong as a person I know that sounds exaggerated but I think if we are really honest with ourselves elves we start to ask ourselves those sorts of questions. And I think that for us as it's not even like a community or nation other species the fact that we're all craving this craving validation on a minute by minute basis or. Let's Be Realistic Day by day Basis if we are seeking other people's validation all the time that's just recipe for bad and instead if we are seeking our own validation and if we are seeking the best version of ourselves and if we have some sort of measuring stick for our own happiness and self awareness and all that I think is a that is a really good direction to go in. Yeah no I think it's really beautiful and I think it's that self awareness that we all have to get to right like I recognize when I'm doing infinite. Scroll or when my thumb starts turn or when I recognize I do this too I will check my stats meaning How many times my practice has been downloaded or if my book is selling right now and that will drive me crazy because why does it matter or if I got a new review and as you know recently got a bad review and it was terrible a hall but it's it's that constantly am I doing good job? Yay Do people like me. Did they want my stuff and my resonating and I'm like Oh my God hi. This is terrible. I think the the key question there was do people like me and I. It's literally likes and that's what's disturbing to me. Is that a normal part of our daily question to ourselves is do people like me. Do People like what I ate today. Do People like my child because I posted a picture of a child now. I think that there is a total reason for sharing pictures of children and our life and just to be able to share with the people that we love. There's absolutely no problem with that. But when the question starts become do people like cricket though who cares sis step away and focus on if you WANNA know if people if you're if you're concerned about Sharing sharing or something like that. If you're concerned about what people think God's a lunch yeah and say how are you doing. How did you see that thing? What do you think about that? If you want wants to create the conversation do it that way and I think that a twenty minute really intense conversation over lunch can provide so much more fulfillment than you. You know a much likes absolutely I love it. I WANNA pivot because I have a question. Yeah sure so. Shine worked for Disney and you pixie hollow okay so they obviously huge pixie hollow team I was I was a very small part. Part of I I worked on sort of the gateway into it There's a huge talented team on. That was a very small piece of it. I love it because so you came to Vegas one day to visit on. We're doing a preview of the APP and it gets in the car and in the door is like a one of the Disney movies very here remember which one it was one of the various movies. Yeah then the door because alluvial watches them in the back seat of the car and he's like Oh God. I had no idea right right that you were in the conversations that you had about like what would a ferry where what would a ferry and just so fascinated by the creativity that sometimes like those of us that it came from corporate can't even imagine the conversations that you get to have sure I would love like a little insight into that experience for you. So pixie hollow in Tinkerbell all our our special in my heart because like I said I was one person on there. A lot of people working on that. But one of the reasons why it's so special to me. Is that my first days at Disney. That was the project that was in full swing and so my first conversations wins at Disney. A lot of them were round that like this character. like Tinkerbell. It's not if tinkerbell was real like so tink would never do this. And by the way like Mickey would would never feed Pluto. Because that's his best friend is not as dog. This says best friend and so the fact that these are sort of brought up as facts and there's a literally team that is dedicated to saying no can't do that because that would just never happen. It's a literally fantastic opportunity to be exploring those worlds. But what's interesting about this. Actually I don't talk about this. I'm not a big fan of fantasy like I am not and probably lose friends over Lord of the Rings it's just it doesn't click with me but when when you based something in a a sort of a reality like no this is a place that exists and within this world there are these certain rules. And that's where I really It's it's IT'S A it's a fascinating world again immersed in and more than anything to be able to take. Oh look at a cohesive experience what was on you know Disney fairies dot com is connected to Pixie hollow in this way which is connected connected to this Experience in the park which is connected to this and we all know that this is the way that's a guest should be treated as it's a fantastic antastic. Way To explorer sort of a cohesive entertainment experience seems a little bit forced. But there's this cohesive experience where When in your daughter goes from watching the film to going to the park to talk to tinker bell there is this overarching sort of feeling that we WANNA create for people and so to be in that profession? Yeah I'm was a great rewiring on a it was beyond any conversations that you could imagine about how the detail at which a experiences constructed it went beyond my What I ever imagine? I love that I love that you bring. I'm not over to live because you're like it's the guest capital G. What is their experience? What did they feel and you can see that? All of the intricate work in all of he's like I'm looking at the millimeter meter of a drop shadow of making. This experience is really beautiful But it was funny because I think you were sharing with me. There's like a princess squall. Oh Yeah Yeah. So there's princess trading so yeah there's princess rating where Yeah there's a reason why Snow White's in Disneyworld Disneyworld acts the same as Snow White and I'm Tokyo Disney to twenty years ago to now it's the same person is this. We just need to learn. Learn how to be that person so yeah we had we there's Prince Training Um there was Yeah you can go in the park and have a conversation as part of immersing in this world to go and sit and talk to Snow White and how would you answer this question. Yeah and I love it. So Olivia is like she was huge into the princesses for a while we would go to the parks and she was two and three and she will wait and into our line to me her favorite character and not complain and not say a word. And you'll get to the front line. She walked up to Cinderella. And she's like. Can I see your shoes and I was like Oh. I hope that they're in character all the way through right and she lifted that her dress and it was like of course they're magical you know he's like okay. These reminds me a little Nike sign. Waited for like forever for Minnie mouse in like she you literally were her Minnie. Mouse backpack and had the mini malls Penn and she stood in like a little soldier and she had such grants and then the funny. This is really funny when she met Mickey Eighty and took a long time to get to to Mickey and you have to walk through this room. That's a bunch of film reels on the wall. And she didn't know what they were. She thought they were quarters. And so when we get to Mickey Looks Because Mickey you've got a lot of money it's true very true but photographer like had such a great time. But I I I love. I love the experience in the magic that it provides a child and a gift of imagination and being in this place and even as adults like we all go and enjoy Disney. So I love that you've had that perspective and when we're talking about what we're doing I'm like oh I love that we've got this influence. You know it rewired.

"His stuff and NBC sports buried dot com the tight end position I think it's gonna be huge Tyler Higby is really stepped over the rams and obviously George last week seventeen targets thirteen catches one hundred thirty four yards in the ill fated to drop out of bounds but he was great last week if the are they expecting J. Lynne Ramsay to follow him around today well from what I know I think they're expecting actually bore zone coverage they don't think there'll be a whole lot of man coverage so you don't I think is a four years going to this game they're not expecting to have many shots down the field so when I think you're gonna see is a lot of zone coverage a lot of the forty Niners hitting those check downs that goal your four yards the on the field and then they need whoever is on the receiving end of that to turn it up fielding get another four eight yards or whatever the case may be and breaks and tackle so I don't know that they're expecting the shadow wing of of Jilin Ramsey against George cattle I think they're like that because I think that they feel like this team is is set up pretty well in George get all set up pretty well to be a constant stream of of man coverage is with him and he's such a spaz you think it's so difficult to bring down for anybody especially in the open field so I think they would like that element of guilt the rams in man coverage and then the I think that's a that's a chance they're willing to take even against a great quarterback like jaelen Ramsey many we gonna jump we're out of time but I did see your Twitter earlier this week about Roger Craig and I know he's up for the hall of fame I know the Veterans Committee basically may get him in bright young Patrick Willis still up for the and as part of the modern era semi finalists there two of of those semi finals January second Willis and and be why find out in my mind all three of these guys are hall of Famers I would hate to try to separate them but man I Craig is been waiting an awful long time a yeah if you're gambling man do you think one two or three of those guys get in this year or in the future well that that's a difficult question I think that first well I should say for sure I think Patrick Willis gets in eventually it might not be this year and I think of bright young what we'll know a lot more about him on January second when the list of twenty five is narrowed to fifteen but then right now the guy who has the best shot just numbers wise as Roger Craig right now he's standing at a fifty fifty shot there are ten seniors who will go in there twenty guys who are finalists and this is at a different pool of voters for this there are thirteen of the originals the of the the main selectors thirteen media members but also it's comprised of historians and former general managers such as bill Polian Ron wolf and some others but also some coaches like bill Belichick and John Madden so to me that helps Roger Craig's case and I I think is pretty good chance to go on it but got a hold our breath on that one yeah known in the in the history of the NFL two guys thousand thousand Marshall Faulk Roger Craig yeah it in one more day like I love the bill Belichick is on this because he's a guy who had the game plan against Roger Craig so he knows what it's like from a from the perspective of the defensive coordinator of course John Madden called a lot of teams open Roger Craig was tearing it up in being kind of a trailblazer site I think that bodes well formed at Rogers teams were the playoffs his first eleven seasons in the NFL again get medic itself will see up our German thank you know going to be see niner insider we'll take a time out we're gonna come back up next are building the game plan segment the Niners can't look ahead they're looking only at the rams but John Dennis and I can and will look ahead to the off season on the sports leader.

"By dean trail ways the dean of transportation at six feet five inches in three hundred pounds you probably figure that Tyler Higby has always played on the line well you would be wrong sort of like football player running back I was always fashion everyone actually played quarterback in middle school in my freshman year of high school so I never really knew anything about a line so it's kind of funny that end up in a line because the last one I played Tyler says that when he was younger his dreams were pointing not to the gridiron but rather to the diamond I love baseball and basketball I think art when I was younger baseball's my ultimate favorite pitcher first and third house was most comfortable with but a desire to get out of the spotlight let him to the team work of the offense of line but what lead this native Texan to head north for college honestly I thought I wanted to be part of likes experience the cold I will get seasons on the Texas so I don't have a problem being so far away from home but I thought I'd be nice to see the snow enjoy the winners and stuff during his third season in east Lansing hurricane Harvey struck Tyler's hometown of Houston Texas he said a feeling of helplessness would to a mission of mercy it was really hard to see all I can really do is see the pictures and I texted a call a couple people back home but I knew were affected by it some of the guys on our by we we had a bye week week two or three that year and there's part about ten of us I went down I actually much of my senior speech when possibly when I did that that meant a lot to me in a lot of people back home that they took the time of our bye week to. come down there and help repair parts and some drywall and stuff like that just to help the community make a presence what he's done playing football the communications.

"Higby, former navy seal or are you a navy seal for life? Carl tried former a lot of people say, like, well you know, I'm still at ABC. I'm like, dude. You're eighty nine. Good point. And you are also a political commentator, and the host of the Carl higby show podcast. Welcome to the show Carl. Sure. So you're Connecticut guy. But you were in New York for a while. Correct. Yeah. So I you know I'm on right on the border. So I spent some time back and forth to Manhattan of other places, you know, try to keep busy and does it worry you that the mayor of New York will not be around much in the coming months as he marches towards the nomination. And eventually, the White House, actually, makes I think New York City more secure better place to be since he's not going to be there to govern say, just keep running keep them in the race all the way to the end. You know what? And if he doesn't win the democratic nomination, which you will. I said, just keep them in there as an independent, just says the hell out of New York. Why do you what do you think? Driving him to do this, given that he doesn't seem to have any major endorsements. The polls are what they are. In terms of seventy three percent of Democrats in New York. Saying, please don't run and really has no realistic shot of winning. When you consider that there's twenty two twenty three other candidates, and Joe Biden with, like a forty point lead. So what do you think driving them here? Name recognition. I mean, that's a really it's a stunt. It's a political stunt and he's going to raise somebody's use that money to build up his own personal friend name, and the may make a run for Senate or see the problem with these a lot of these liberals, especially the four left ones. Like the city at the Blasios is there that they lack the self awareness to understand that you could sit there and tell them to you're blue in the face you. He's a horrible mayor. He's a horrible person. He's a total nerd, but he's not going to believe it because he believes in his own mind that he is the greatest hero, New York City's ever seen. I've been pressing you worked idiot and turn to the same answer. So congratulations on that I know recess and G rated very t- rated Carl reformer navy CEO Carl, Alabama, just past, the most restrictive antiabortion law in the country, making it illegal for a woman to get an abortion, even in the case of rape, and incest, and punishing. The doctor who would do it by up to ninety nine years in prison. What's your reaction to that legislation? So here's the thing is I'm not like on a die-hard conservative, but on the abortion issue. I'm like, look, you want to have an abortion, fine. I just don't want to pay for it. Now what they did was this heartbeat rule the six to eight week thing. And my concern is I'm basically under the tenth amendment. I believe it is the state's right role v way, though, is, is being tested. And with the biggest part that scares me is that we are now going to force the supreme court to decide to things one. Are they going to set a precedent to reopen settled law, which Roe v? Wade basically did second. Are we also going to allow the supreme court to start legislating morality, or should we leave that onto the legislative body that is the that's the issue? We, we have here and once the supreme court make make morality into a legislative issue. It is there's no limit to. To legislating people out of their freedoms. And that concerns me and I'm not quite following you here, though. Do you support the legislation? The antiabortion law in Alabama or not in, I support. Yes, I so. I think it's a good idea that once that heart is beating and you can detect that I think that, that's totally fine to say. Yeah, no more abortions. Okay. I get that. Now, there's, there's extenuating circumstances for everything. But what I'm what I'm most nervous about is an I don't know if the left did this on purpose and tactfully. So they're, they're, they're pushing this and Republicans are kind of falling into the trap of or are Republicans going to push to open settled law because then that allows Heller versus DC for gun rights, and many other supreme court decisions to be reevaluated and reopened and no longer considered settled law. Okay. So you support sending doctors to prison for ninety nine years, under Alabama law Taiwan, just became support funding anybody to. Risen new brakes wall, period any law. Right. And they would be breaking the law, if they performed abortions in Alabama, under this law, and you support that I think we all agree that this is going to go to the supreme court and probably get shot down, eventually, that this will never be on law. This will never see the light of day. So we're talking in hypotheticals. Yeah. I, I think you're right. I mean, like I, I don't I don't like the idea of the, the this strict of legislation on it. But he like, also this is an issue. I really am just not as concerned about, you know, when, when they start saying, you can get an abortion. You can't get an abortion. Look abortion is clearly legal under Roe v. Wade, you know, are we going to revisit that? That's, that's my concern. Yes, we are going to read this at at, and you're happy with that or not. No. Actually, so as a Republican, like, look, I'm not I'm not on board. I think abortion is bad generally. I'm personally pro-life. I understand the need for sometimes, I think certain people should have the right to make that choice at an early stage. However. I'm very nervous. I do not think they should push this. The Republicans should not push this, because what it's gonna do is it's going to force the supreme court to reopen settled law. And then then all bets are off. What's the point of even having a supreme court it, we can just revisit the same low that we don't like every ten years when the court turns up, and we actually saw the RNC chair walking away from this. I don't think national Republicans so to speak. This is Alabama. That's a different ballgame down there altogether. But I think establishment, national Republicans are saying, even saying this is a little bit too extreme when you're talking about rape incest. And as far as the exceptions are concerned, we're talking to Carl higby. He is a former navy seals Carl the New York Times reporting today, American officials have suddenly raised the stakes in the long simmering tensions between the US and Iran pointed to new intelligence that they say suggest an imminent threat to American interests in the Middle East. So what does this mean are we headed towards the conflict or is this just a lot of saber rattling? I really hope it doesn't result in any military action, but we have to understand the enemy that we're fair. Facing here. These people are, this is the cradle of civilization. Joe they are still ruling via warlords and in tribal dominance, so we have to speak, their language when you put a carrier battlegroup in someone's backyard, they tend to listen now, I don't think people understand the force of a carrier battle group. That's like ten thousand people and hundreds of planes floating on an ocean doing fifty miles an hour with a nuclear reactor powering you. It's a big statement. And I really just I want to be very clear that Iran. Needs to understand that we are not playing games anymore. And for so long. People have not stood up to these people. Bama gave them pallets of cash. We are here to say do not mess with us. And if you keep pushing us, we're gonna put you back in the hole that you came from. And we're speaking with Carl be a former navy seal, Carl Taiwan, just became the first country in Asia to pass a law, allowing same sex marriage. What's your reaction to that, you know this? I'll try this back to how I felt about the don't ask don't tell getting repealed, like I was in the military when it was repealed. I would not have repealed it. I didn't think it was great for stability, it caused a lot of conflict and a lot of debate and honestly, I it, it made some some social problems. But then again, I if I was king of the world tomorrow, I wouldn't change it back. So I don't really care, like I used to feel pretty strongly it used to be pretty anti gay marriage, but I don't really care anymore, if you wanna be gay, and you want to get married. It's fine. Watch you want gay people in ten years. Now we're going to be like, oh my God. Why did they let us get married? I've been married and divorced. It is not a pretty thing, straight people want to have that type of misery, gay people have it, take it. I just don't there. Well, he's honest these candid that President Obama, basically the same thing. He was anti-gay marriage. He evolved Carl's just saying, just don't the wedding because I don't want to hear the Macarena in the chicken dance, evolve. There is a Carl Carl. You have a good weekend. Thanks for joining us. Please. Do come back soon. Thanks so much. When we come back lease we wrap this puppy up, and we try to discover what you're totally Patani plans are for the weekend, that's next on seven.

"Beget it fourteen seven and then they make the field goal right before they have fourteen ten and. Wow, that's amazing Rufus Peabody letting me know that if let's makes that field goal at the end he wins that contest. And let's pretty sure I mean, even though and they took a loss right before then to push it back to fifty two yarder. Otherwise, let's probably makes that and let's has been pretty solid all year all year long the end of the day. You know, it was a game that Philadelphia nearly again fourteen nothing you're feeling good. If you're a Philly fan, you're going while and I'm plus eight and a half met, right? Sit fat there. But New Orleans found a way to get it done. So now, you know, there's always one game that you look at whether it's during the season that gets you into the playoffs or one in the postseason that you say. Probably could have lost that game. But we found a way to get through it as ugly as it is. This is what we remember. And that's what happens here in Vegas. That's why they keep building casinos is because the public remembers what happened last so they're going to remember is ugly performance by New Orleans one that they probably should've lost the game had Philly been able to do anything down the stretch. After the first six seven minutes of the game. When they had the fourteen nothing lead. They could not but people are going to say, but New Orleans at home only twenty points after they scored forty eight the first time out how does that happen? How are they going to beat this Rams running game that just you know, put up two hundred seventy three yards on douse things change. And and they're still something about Brees. And Payton they have not lost in the postseason at the dome. They have not and and you're exactly right. It's funny because you say when you're when you're pitching, no hitter. You don't get a no hitter until somebody makes an amazing defensive play that allows you to get that, no hair. And you're right. It keeps don't win an empire down the left field line Santana needs one. That's neat. We'll give it to you. But it's the same way. You're right and football. You don't win a Super Bowl as you have that one game a game that you probably you possibly could have lost. But something bounced your way, and you one all right for the Rams the woods cooks higby Reynolds. A girly out of the backfield got to do more. I want to see him get more than two passes for three yards. That's to me again. He had sixteen carries for one fifteen and a touchdown but to me Todd Gurley. Flaring him a pass. Absolutely..
