"It has the ultimate collection brand behind it, which has this level of prestige. It's a high end product. And if you look 2001 was the first year of ultimate collection baseball. And it was the first ever baseball product to hit retail stores. For $100 a pack. It really just was a premium product. If you look at the base set, there's a 120 cards. The last 30 are all serial numbered rookies. And within those 30, it's each Euros on card auto, rookie, there were 5 of those on card auto rookies in there. There's some streaking that comes with each hero's autograph on this card. So the ones with less streaking sell for a little bit more of a premium. But based upon the brand, the product cost it being an on card auto to just 250 copies. You can tell how important this card is because PSA waits this a ten within their each Euro registry, which means it's rare and difficult within that each year a registry. It's at the top of that. But I think past the actual card. You're looking at each hero first ballot Hall of Famer. He's eligible in 2025 and the one thing we've seen in baseball is there's this nice little lull in price post retirement, pre induction. Each row has the global brand. And I think that brand will be aided here by ohtani a little bit because of all the comparisons that we're going to start having and each year also has the milestones. One of 33 players to ever reach 3000 hits. He did it at the 14th fastest rate. And I think what's really impressive about each of those did not play in the major leagues until age 27. Love the global status of him. Love the accomplishments on the field. Love the rarity of this specific card. You can buy it out of season. You can buy it during a market dip. You can buy it during the wall waiting for induction. Just check so many boxes for me. Yeah, it really does. Actually, this is a great pick because most people, when they talk about each year, they're talking about the Bowman chrome or the SP authentic, right? But the O one ultimate collection auto out of two 50 is a sleeper. In my opinion. And you just don't see them trade that often. I mean, there's only 250 of them. So we talk about what scarcity is, real scarcity versus perceived. Well, this is real scarcity. You just don't see them sell often. And as a matter of fact, looking at the pop reports, there's only three PSA tens and two back at 9 5s that have ever been graded. And there hasn't been one of those to sell in the last 6 years. I mean, I didn't know that. The last PSA ten sold in 2016 for ten grand. In 2016, it's over ten grand. 5 to 7 X now, even in down market. I had a 75 K over under on that card right now. Because that's true rarity and you have ichiro collectors that haven't had an opportunity to buy one of those. In 6 years, there's only three pieces of tens that exist. So it's a massive card. And the fact that there are only 250 of a staple rookie for a guy internationally that is absolutely loved. He's the equivalent of like a Hideki matsuyama for golf internationally in Japan. I'm a big golf guy. So I use that comparison. I know that Hideki is a God. When he won the masters, the dude was walking on water when he would go back home. And so I love cards that have international appeal to them. I think as our space continues to grow, a company like fanatics coming in is really going to they're going to broaden the reach that people have internationally for this space. At 31 billion. You're telling me that they don't have planes internationally to expand this stuff. I mean, they're all in. You got a guy like Michael Rubin, who is all in on trading cards. So I know part of their plan is to go international with this thing. That's how they're going to get to over a $100 billion valuation. I think a guy like ichiro is a prime example of somebody that still has a ton of upside from an investable standpoint. Not even just for this card, but I think in general. So I love this pick. Yeah, appreciate that. I think the other interesting thing here is when you start talking about baseball and long-term appeal, his size, his stature, I think, rids the idea of potential harm down the line for being outed for steroids. I think he's got much less risk involved to him from that perspective as well, which is a positive. But you mentioned a possible $100 billion valuation for fanatics. That would be a magic number by my

No One Can Possibly Be Excited for the President's Cup

"Well, like I'll sell it. I'll sell it for pennies on the dollar, you know, outside the gate, good night. That's my daughter. She's just, she doesn't know what to do about the world of golf. Got context today, by the way, first time at a glasses. Volleyball got hit in the face with glasses, had to switch to context. Anyway, that's sitting there. Yeah, tough adjustment. I'm sitting there and I have this corporate ten or whatever. I'm like, dude, I wasn't live versus PGA Tour for the president's cup. Call it the freaking traders cup. Call it whatever the hell you want to call it. Yes. Yeah, streaming on Pornhub, platinum subscription. I don't give a shit what happens like people are going to tune into this thing like you've never even seen or heard in your entire life. Right. It's going to be tenfold of what it is right now. And I don't even want to discount how good the players are for the international team that are going to end up making it that never would before because they're a lot better than you and I are. However, it's not the same. And then the PGA Tour teams watered down too because they're missing some of their best guys. Right. So if you're listening to this and you're really intrigued about watching the president's cup, you're a free con serial killer. You go around, stocking people, where's the body? Let me know that type of situation. That's basically what's happened. There's no way anyone's excited to watch this. No. And I don't even know what it is. I don't even know what month to sit, I don't know. I only know where it is. That's the thing. I have not kept up with it at all. I don't care. And the problem is, I should care because I have friends. In it, and I don't know where it is. Sam Burns plant. Sam's plan. Yeah. And I have no idea where it is, when it is, no idea. I know that Sam won't even see the 13th pole. He won't even see it. No, like, whoever he's playing doesn't matter. He's like, he's a piece of two shot advantage every time he plays. And speaking of, like, that's a thing. Yeah, I don't even know the captains are. I believe it's Davis love. Is that correct? Is the captain of the stateless love in Trevor implement and I feel horrible because Trevor Owens a nice guy. Trevor Spence, he lost his he lost his best guys. I guess he gets Hideki like, can you clone a decade? Like, I don't know, like who cloned the first sheep. It was at in Scotland, go over to that guy, clone Hideki 11 times before this thing starts, and maybe we'll have ourselves a freaking golf tournament. Well, yeah, maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. No, I said maybe credit to myself for saying maybe. Maybe we would. 11 a decades might have a chance. Possibly, I don't know. With the current team, absolutely 0%, no chance at all. I don't know what the money line is on the United States in that one, but man. It's gotta be it's gotta be minus it's gotta be -900. I'm gonna look. You spend a million put a million on it to make a hundred grand. Like, come on. It's worth it though, 'cause it's a lock. I made that up. Let's see what it really is. It's worth it. It's a lock. But anyway, I mean, that's one of the things though. The golf golf needs this shit to be over with. This squabble. Minded 500. USA's -500. That's it. Oh my God. That's pretty bad. That's pretty bad, honestly, though, because they give you fluff. Like the internationals are plus that moon 50. Match play is a little bit of a carnage shell, like you know that. You can play best fall on both players can be 6 under and you can lose to two guys that shoot 74, but they best fall 7 under, right? However, -500 seems like

Why People Are Backtracking on Their Hardline Anti-LIV Stance

"There's going to be legal battles kind of up the ass here and you're right, man. If they're taking if you're taking all this money and you're playing over there and the PGA Tour says you can't come back, whatever. That's fine. Also, now kind of Davis love was even backtracking. He came out today because he was super like, I don't want anybody that's affiliated with Liv on the president's cup team, blah, blah, blah. And then I just saw that quote for him today, and he was like, well, you know, maybe if the PGA Tour didn't require 15, and then the lived in require those guys to play 14, maybe there's a way these can coexist where we have our biggest events. They have their biggest events and guys kind of mix and match throughout the whole day. There's a lot of and I wouldn't really call him a hypocrite at all 'cause he's a a plus solid guy. But, you know, he's probably looking at the big picture where he's like, shit, can't number two player in the world's going cam Smith, British open champ. Hideki, he was rumored to go biggest player in all of Asia. We need those guys. We need the dollars for him. We need the dollars from Asia. We need people watching the PJ tour. We need all this stuff. You know, at some point it's a business. You know, Rory Rory's backpedaled with his comments a little bit. So I think in my opinion, it might end up the best thing ever for people that actually like to watch golf. You might watch these guys at all the biggest tournaments.

"All right, Mark Hubbard, 83rd, in case you didn't know, and FedExCup standings going into the FedExCup playoffs. Ace, first a professional ace. No, that was my second on tour 9th total. I think fourth and competition. It was actually great. I was at 8 and four had been sober for had been drunk and so that was the 5th. How I needed to play. So you must be into casual boozy golf with the squad. Yeah, I think it's a completely different sport, just fun golf versus what we do. And you know, there's definitely times where I love the competitive part of it, but there's times where I just miss the joy of playing. And so it's nice to go out with buddies and just kick it around. Hell yeah. All right, man. Well, look, this was great. We'll do this again for sure. Good luck out there. We'll be rooting for you and we appreciate you taking the time. Try to, you know, if you're gonna, even if you're gonna hit a shitty shot, just act like it's good, so that doesn't happen. I'm putting a star next to your name now in my score app. I've done that for Sam Ryder and Callum turn. Now you're gonna be there. I get up, I get all these updates about like Callum just like shooting one over par and like a Thursday, I'm just like, why am I getting this notification? But it was like Sam Ryder is tied for 72nd. I'm like, I don't even know why that's like a priority on my phone. But you're a part of that now, so don't disappoint me. I want to see it update. I'm going to get like, I'm going to get like your golf bag is like lost and fucking shot 69. Yeah, so I don't have my name on my bag and I've just been putting like a dry erase board on the front.

"That's like, oh, your bags on the next flight to Glasgow from Heathrow and it's been like a month since I've been there. And I'm like, oh great, and they do that every day. And then it's just never on that flight. And then, and then Friday, they did the thing where my flight was supposed to leave. This was Delta. Flight was supposed to leave at 5. They text me at four. That's like your flight's delayed till 7. Then they text you at 6. It's like your flight's filleted till 9. Then you just kept doing that. So you couldn't leave and then you couldn't eventually it just got canceled. So you're like, well, what are we doing here? I spent 7 hours in the airport just to go, oh, I could have been at the bar or Beale street with fucking Mark Hubbard. Yeah, exactly. I mean, airport parties are fun though, so. No, it is a good time. Everybody's kind of in it together, you know? And everyone's in it together, you can drink at any time, you can wear anything you want. It's just chaos and the anarchy. And international waters. There's no judgment zone, like we're all, right? Nobody's there to impress anybody. We're trying to get through it. Yeah, that's great. Speaking of international waters, I fucking watch that Woodstock documentary. I think I'm like two episodes in. Did you guys watch the Woodstock 99 on Netflix? No. Solid, I'm gonna watch. Holy smokes. There was no rules. Like Limp Bizkit came out and they fucking just got the place going crazy and it turned into pure anarchy. I'm talking like places being lit on fire or people shitting on the floor. People, it was crazy. You have to watch this documentary. It was like the greatest collection of 90s bands to ever come together. When you guys are all old, you probably remember fucking Woodstock 99. I the only thing I've seen from that is the DMX clips where he's got the place going fucking wild.

"There's nothing worse than landing early. And they're always so braggadocious about it, and they're like, oh, we got in 9 minutes early. And then we sit on the fucking tarmac for a half hour. It's like, I'd rather be in the sky. I don't want to be where I'm going and not move it. Yeah, they act like they were driving in an F one race and passing planes on the site. It's like, no, the wind was good. We're a very pro pile of podcasts. We had a pilot. We had a pilot. Airline pilot on. Don't get me wrong. They're amazing. I can never do it. They're a little self grand is for sure. I think just in general, you know, they got the, they got the whole outfit and the fucking, you know, it's kind of the doctor God complex sort of thing. Yeah, we'll do that happen to us. We have talked about this on this podcast, but we were Dave portnoy on a little mini private plane. We got all the way up in the air and the fucking pilot came in the back and goes, hey guys, we lost one of the engines. It's frozen, so like we're gonna try and do everything we can to thaw it out, but like the throttles frozen solid and like, he goes, if we can't, like we're gonna have to slowly float down. So Dave and I look at each other and we're like, are you fucking kidding me? First of all, you telling us that did nothing but scare the shit out of us because we have nothing to do from now until we land this plane. We're just sitting there just waiting for something bad to happen. So don't say it ever. Don't ever say anything ever. Keep your mouth on the way out if you really need the praise be like, oh, by the way, by the way, we thought about the fucking right engine. They do have fun in the moment. They do have now on Uber. "Owens mixtures, baby, several years now we've had our own cocktail out there, which is the transfusion. I spoke about the wedding earlier with Abby and Brennan, credit to them. They had the transfusion as an option to pick up during the ceremony, which I've never seen before. You walk into the ceremony, which is outside overlooking a couple of the fairways at Inverness, and they had a few options. They had like, I'd have been like a John Daly or something along those lines and they had a transfusion as an option so you're sitting there, they're going through the whole thing. It was Jewish wedding, but like Jewish Irish families, like where the two different families. And I'm just sitting there soaking it all up. There's all kinds of Hebrew being spoken and sang actually, which is beautiful. They break the glass and I was just sipping on a transfusion. So it was like it's nice, nice of a scene as you can pretty much have out there, which I love, the transfusion is a delicious, refreshing cocktail. Owens works like this. They got the mixture, they refresh, they revamp the mixture game. You literally just pour your favorite flavor in there with your favorite liquor. Just add Owens. That's what they say. You're good to go. You got that easy of a cocktail. They got variety of mixers that pair with any spirit, including the barstool transfusion to the majority of stadiums and arenas across the country. So if you're going to a game, get yourself an Owen's cocktail even if it's not the transfusion, you see those Owens bottles up there with the little donkey logo. It's a great logo. You know it's going to be the good stuff. So ask for that, pour it in with your favorite liquor of choice, and it's going to be quite refreshing. They do a really good job. They take it very seriously, shout out to our dude Josh Miller. Might play more golf than we do, but he does it to try to attract new clients and courses so that hopefully when you as the consumer go to any course around the country, they've got Owens on the beverage carts at the 19th hole all over the place. These guys do a great job you go to Owens mixers dot com, check the store locator to find a store that has Owens near you. If you

"He's like, oh, Jesus. Hold on. Yeah, no, and I mean, that goes back to what we've been talking about. Playing 18 holes on Tuesday morning, not only is it a huge energy drain, but it's also like the course is going to be so different Thursday afternoon than Tuesday morning. It's not only an energy drain. It's honestly a complete waste of time. Like if you've never seen the course before, and you don't know where to hit it, that's one thing. But these guys that have been out here, my rookie year, I was playing in Palm Springs and Matt kuchar came to the first TNS to join us. So I'm like, oh, this is so great. I'm gonna play 18 holes with mat kuchar. He played one, two, and three, and drove off. You're just trying to see the speed and stuff of the greens, but after that, it really is kind of pointless on Tuesday because it does change so much. Right, there's no preparation for like getting your swing ready, right? Like that's already in place. You guys aren't out there warming up your swings or fixing anything on a two zero Wednesday. Are you? All this preparation is strictly course management, seeing the green, seeing the speed, or are you working things out on the cross? I think, yeah, I think very little stuff, you know, there might be a ball position changed or just kind of a feel you're trying to get. So it might be walking into the ball differently or just a setup thing or a feel on the club or whatever. But yeah, you're not making any big, big changes. I mean, I see that all the time, you know, guys just add at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, grind and hitting a million bags of balls. It's like, if you don't have it on Wednesday, you're probably not going to have it. Tomorrow, you're probably not going to find it. And even more so, you kind of just got to play with what you have, you know, I was actually talking to my brother about that the other day. My good stretch that I had a couple of weeks ago, I mean, I really wasn't hitting it that well, but I knew exactly where the ball was going. And I think that's something that's underlooked out here. It's not necessarily the 200 most talented guys in the world. It's the 200 guys that know their game the best. And so, you know, it's not necessarily hitting perfect shots, obviously, that top ten, 20 guys are amazing, but the rest of us, you know, we just kind of know our game and get around the course and we know exactly where they're going to hit it where we want or we know where our miss is going to be and we just keep a manageable.

"It's a course it's easier to kind of get in those conditions where 9 to 15 under could win. And those, of course, we love, you know, travelers is getting more popular every year for that same reason. It's always 15 to 20, it's just perfect conditions, ribs always been my favorite event of the year for that same reason. So I mean, I think the course is kind of shine through the ones that are easier to set up that way. Riviera might get might get, it's like dick shocked the most of any golf course in the world by PGA Tour players. People love that place. Yeah, I mean, even before tigers event, it was always amazing. I'm biased because my brother lives like 8 minutes away, so it's just a super fun event for me. But I think I personally, my favorite part of golf is just kind of the imagination part and the recovery part. And so I like courses where you can shoot 80 hitting every single shot. Like there's really not any hazards or out of bounds on that course. There's a little bit, but you know, it's not like Honda where you could just re tea on every hole. So I mean, that course gives you a chance if you hit it out of play. You can recover. You can use your imagination. You can hit a ton of different shots and I think that's what golf's all about for me. So I think that's why I get so much price. It's almost more infuriating, man. You're like, especially for guys like us. You come off the green, you add it up. It's a 7, and you're like, dude, I didn't lose a ball. It was right in front of me the whole time, and I just, it just took me that many tries to get up. Yeah, I mean, there's no BS. You either hit the shot and it's good or penalized for it. So it's just the perfect course. How often do you go back and when you're playing a golf course and think about all the shots that you missed, or do you ever say like, well, I made a couple ones that I usually don't. Like, I've been playing the best golf of my life recently and we'll get off the green and I'll say thank you very much. I went from a ten 6 to a 5 6. Frankson Frankie's coming out. Like the stuff we're putting on now is like holy shit. What's that? It's a little understated. You can show up to a bar with it. You're not specifically wearing like big barstool merch. It's like, it's different. It's our stuff. It's branded smaller. I think the merch team fucking killed it this year. I think we're gonna have a huge, huge. Which I also saw, crowd surfing on Saturday. Alice saw the whole crew was out there. We had Allison saw we had Pilar in the crowd. We had Justin Mancini. I mean, I just love everything about that guy. Yeah, dude, look at those things. Are those unreal also? Yep. Dude, unreal puts really, really good quality into all their clothes now. It's nothing nothing to sneeze at as kids like to say. I was hanging out with Michael Jordan in Minnesota. That guy's the man. I'm real. You get it. There's not going to be one piece of merchandise that people get, that they're going to be like, oh, this is shitty. "Last couple of things I want to do in touch on the AIG women's open over at muirfield yesterday watch the finish, Ashley buhai, who's South African wand, incredibly emotional, her husband. I think it was her husband. They kept showing him on TV. He was making me laugh out loud, how fired up and into it he was. But I think it was a four hole playoff. That her and NG chon had just like as really as good as it gets as high pressure as it gets. There were some huge putts made. UI actually I kind of was choking it away all day, just didn't have her best stuff to cheat off with a pretty good lead. I think shot like 75 made like a four, 5, 6 foot or whatever it was on the 72nd hole to get into the playoff. I always find that impressive, like we were just talking about Tom Kim, you know, starting with a quad and then coming back and winning by 5. I always find like when you're struggling, somebody's struggling all day and the momentum is not in their favor. It feels like them coming down the stretch going into a playoff like they're just gonna lose that person never wins. And she somehow battled it out, played damn well on the playoff. It had a lot of good shots. It was getting colder and colder in the 18 poles like 430 yards, hard hole bunkers left and right. She had the fairway every fucking time. Hit a bunch of good shots and then ultimately had a sick up and down on the fourth again, I think it was the fourth playoff hole. A bunker shot that's just like in that range that none of us have. None of us have. She's like in that kind of weird circular bunker they have on like the faraway part of it. So you gotta go over another part of the bunker and then the pins on the far side of the green up over a knob. Somebody had a great response to kind of my tweet about it. That was like this shot always for me begins with like heads up over there and you're trying to take like this full swing. You don't know if maybe you should use like a gap wedge or something because it's that far of a shot and she hit it to like 6 inches to win the goddamn thing. So just an iconic shot from her fun to watch down the stretch. So shout out to her win in the AIG women's open. Muirfield, iconic. It's crazy. Golf is still just being played over there. You know what I mean?

"You get a free round of golf while checking out the barstool bruise box package. So this guy, Tom Kim, 20 years old, he would be either like a, I think they said like maybe a sophomore or junior in college, which is fucking outrageous to think about. I mean, I know Phil Mickelson is pretty famous for being the most recent amateur to win on the PGA Tour when he was what like a sophomore junior at Arizona. And so for Tom Kim to go out there and light it up and shoot and so he made a fucking quadruple bogey on his first hole of the entire tournament. This is such a good lesson about golf. So easy to get down on yourself and to just keep powering through. Made a quadruple bogey on his first hole. He's four over par at a tournament where you know you're probably gonna need to be somewhere between 15 and 20 under to win the damn thing. And he ends up winning by 5 shots as a 20 year old for his maiden victory on the PGA Tour. I saw that he is kind of, oh, I think it was maybe Jason sobel, who tweeted this out. I can't remember exactly who, but said Tom Kim is the 9th PGA Tour winner from Korea. Says the LPGA has had 9 since the start of 2020 and just talking about how the Korean golf and the women's game is obviously taken over and starting to take over and really have a significant impact on a lot of their talent making it out on the PGA door. But yeah, he apparently has a ton of character. I was talking with a couple different folks who were like, man, you guys got to get him on the show at some point because he's great. But Tom Kim comes out wins the damn thing by 5 shots after absolutely fucking dominating yesterday on Sunday. Crazy to have the belief that you think you can do it. I mean like if one of us shoots a quad on the first hole, I just think like, well, now like 85, 90, a hundred in the cards, so anything at this point. And so to believe that you can come back and shoot on a par and he finished with a 61 is just preposterous in terms of the turnaround and how good of golf came that is. Also my way of thinking prior to meeting doctor Brett mccabe would have been. I have to make four birdies just to eliminate that one quad and that's never happening today. So my day's over. So that would be that's a really hard thing to overcome. But yeah, 'cause a good mental thought person would be like, all right, like I can make one bird and that turns into a triple. I'm gonna make another one like we can kind of a couple pars and now that's like a bogey in a part. You know what I mean? So you can kind of move that around, or you could just forget about the quad and just keep moving on with your day, which is what he did. You don't have to start fucking doing math. Or you just played two off the first tee, and then that quad is never exist because the next one you strike down the middle and make it easy for. That's exactly what we would do. Exactly what we would do. I'm happy for Tom Kim, congratulations to him. I'm not super comfortable with someone being born in the 2000s starting to excel like that's time is just slipping away, fellas.

"But like, yeah, I mean, they just had like everything about their family line was super successful and like really, really, you're just envious about how amazing. That's why I got it. I'm almost most impressed by somebody who is like a rich kid who's actually the man and like the nicest person in super kind and then they also you find out there have every reason to be like a rich elitist asshole from the country club. I'm always like, well, that's difficult to do right there. I mean, I have a shout out for a guy like that. I mean, I think Francis Ellis is right there. I mean, he was on the day before. Totally. Dave's like, aren't you like richer than everyone at Barcelona? And he's like, well, my dad was super successful, but like, I'm not taking any of that money. And I have to work. I value myself and my being based off of what I put into this world. I'm like, I'm only going to take out what I put in. I'm not, he doesn't like moocher, suck the teat off anything. He doesn't do that with bars so he didn't do that with his parents. He is a fucking perfect example of a guy that has made it for himself and refuses to take the handouts. And I think excellent. Excellent appearance on Dave portnoy show. I was texting Francis throughout the weekend. He's such a well spoken man, and what I love about France is too, is he wears his heart on his sleeve. One of his big things was like, you know, negative feedback and everybody handles it differently when you become all of a sudden, you know, Internet known. And I love that that man just wears his heart on his sleeve. And like he would just react to things very raw and real and you're right. Like he's Harvard guy, clearly family comes from money. He's got like memberships and he's got and yet he just works for every dollar.

"Like if you, I grew up mowing lawns all the time and you wear the same pair of shoes every time because they get green every single time. When you mow on, it just, they get green. The whole bottom half, at least gets entirely green. And you probably wouldn't want to do that with a new pair of golf shoes. Do you have an old paragraph shoes that you're only going to wear to mow your lawn, then you use those, but if you don't want to take those new shoes, those yellow ones that you've got and mow on with those. I'd say the percentage is extremely low. People that wear golf shoes. I think it's probably an old pair of new balance or they have their shoes and the fucking garage or the shed, they pop them on or they wear like sandals and then they just take a shower or whatever. But not wear sandals. That's not safe. That's not safe. Okay, sorry, I'm just pictured. I don't mow my own lawn. We have a we have a landscape. You've never mowed a lawn. Isn't that correct? That's correct. Wow. It feels like. I've never folding mode alone. I've pushed a lawnmower. That's nice. All right, all right. All right, I know. Cuddle blade of grass. We're never fully done a lot. We're not coming for your family. I could. I mean, you've seen my backyard. It's very mobile. It's just a flat, nice piece of large land that I could have a nice time out there. You need to check as a man that someday you need to mow, you just need to mow your own lawn. I don't know, maybe. And I was also thinking about what I said last week about not being able to have like a child in all that stuff and maybe I should dial that back, but also it's like all my dad for not creating a man. You know, like my dad didn't create a man. It's like, you know what I mean, it's on him. He's the one that needed to be checked. He created like a boy. He used a product of your environment. And that's also, I got into another debate with someone the other day about the millennials and how they ruined the world and how we're all like, it's all second place. There's like second place trophies and last places, not like mean anything anymore. I was like, well,

"All right, I want to talk Windham championship real quick. Obviously I was there throughout the week. I spoke about it on Thursday show last week a little bit, but just how cool it is to be at a sort of an average sort of week to week type PGA Tour event. This one in Greensboro, every single person that you meet just like thanks you for being there. I think all the big swing and dicks from Wyndham made sure to go out of their way to like introduce themselves and just say thanks sending follow-up notes every person in the town takes off at least a few hours on Thursday or Friday to get out to the course and check it out. They're very proud of their past champions. They're very curious what you think about the course about the town. They just absolutely are obsessed with you being there and that's such a cool vibe. So again, I just wanted to shout that out like the passion and the energy and the commitment that goes into the tournament and making sure it goes off as best as possible from like thousands of people that live and work there is unprecedented. There's these volunteers out there, man. It's like a hundred fucking degrees with, you know, 2000% humidity. And these volunteers are out there with their southern hospitality and Dwayne, just like thanking you for coming as you walk across and they just hold the ropes for you and you're like, how are you not dead out here? So all of those people committing that hard, my man James, who I posted a picture, he had the best Tiger Woods shirt I've ever seen. It's just a T-shirt with a giant image of Tiger Woods reading a putt on it. I saw a few people kind of respond to that. They picked up that T-shirt too. But my guy, James, who just, he's just one of those guys that does everything. He's invited me to like spider where he just literally does everything with a smile on his face. He does like corporate hospitality, so he sells a lot of the does a lot of the sales and he goes and does client maintenance with the people that are there, checks them out, make sure they're having a good time. And then he also drives me around and then he goes and gets kids, his parking passes and then at one point picks you up in a golf cart and he's, yeah, we got a swing by Ricky's. We got drive by Rickie Fowler's rental house. He drops off like a bottle of wine as a gift on the front door. He's just fucking everywhere.

Foreplay, should I barstool sports? We are back. It is the very beginning of the FedExCup playoffs this week there at the FedEx saint Jude in Memphis. We have on Mark Hubbard for the very first time. He's going to come on the second half of the show excellent interview, really, really good dude. We never chatted with him before. He like a week and a half ago became pretty Internet famous for going as he called it full Hideki with an ace where he dropped the club. Hated it, looked away. Hole in one, 217 yard par three. He was getting shit from his playing partners. Windham Clark was a buddy of his from Colorado, was in there and said, I'm not high 5 in you. He was like begging for it to go in. So he'd be embarrassed as possible. And of course it went in and we just went all over the place. He's very anti airline pilots, making noise. He was, he was great. I loved him. Yeah, really cool vibe. Good energy. Cut from the same cloth as all the guys that we really like on tour, where it's kind of just like, he just happens to be a really good golfer, but first and foremost, he's just a good guy that's like you grab a beer with. Definitely not your country club elitist type of personality. So really, really big fan of Mark Hubbard, I think he's funny follow on Twitter too. I just kind of skim through all his tweets and he's pretty opinionated and vocal on Twitter where he'll be he'll be making jokes about the tour and live and like all this stuff he's. He's pretty legit, so he's a good follow. I'm a thermal fall right now. Yeah, me too. Acclimated acclimated acclimated with his with his Twitter account. I spent the entire pretty much week at the Windham championship, so I want to go through a couple notes from that. "The majors are insane to not want to have the best players playing it. I mean, maybe the world ranking thing will fizzle out if Liv doesn't get it, but can you imagine the mask? And I don't know what's going on all these people are rumored to go in Hideki matsuyama is supposedly going in team tricks on or whatever. Can you imagine them telling Hideki, you know, the basically the face of Asian golf that he can't play in the masters. I mean, give me a freaking break. What a disaster for them. If Becky went over, that would be 7 masters champions. Like, are you really gonna have a champion dinner at 7 dudes missing? Really? Like, who's gonna want to be in a sad dinner? It's like a sad birthday party. It's not even a sad dinner. It's one of those things where, like, you just be standing there being like, it's just not feel okay. And anything. But here's the thing about the masters. The masters is the only invitation of all the majors. Right? So you're going to tell these dudes like, is the U.S. open going to tell whoever they're going to tell Brooks and Dustin, yeah, you form a champions, but you can't, we're not even going to let you try and qualify. What? Then it's right. It's the U.S. closed. And now, now for all of those people that are like, this is going to be bad for the game. Yeah, but who made it that way? It ain't the players. "We talked about this actually, PD early like the live tour should have sponsors for teams and the same guy should play every week so it's not confusing if you are going to watch and the all Japanese team like shrieks on I guess already said that they're going to sponsor the all Japanese team and that really oh they did. So a decade that the writing is probably on the wall. I don't know for sure. I don't talk to Hideki. I don't speak Japanese. I have no idea, but that makes sense. Like shrieks on and it's like the masters is the mass they're like, oh, the majors are going to ban these guys. You think a gusta national is going to ban Hideki matsuyama, the face of Japanese golf who's a huge, there will be a freaking riot. There's no chance that will happen. So it's going to be weird to see how it all plays out at the end.

Is Hideki Matsuyama Going to LIV?

"A hot topic is and these betting sites that have picked and I don't want to, we can say this because other people have speculated and they almost think it's a done deal as Hideki going to the live. And that's a massive situation because first of all, he's the number one player, biggest player in Asia by a landslide. Second of all, you know, masters champion like, that's got to be a crazy amount of money. And he's in his prime. Like he's in his true prime Hideki is. Wouldn't you say? Yeah, do you remember when you were out there playing on tour? When I was in the same with you, we're the same era out there. I was the same age as Rio ashikawa, all right? And I played with Rio and the masters. I played with Rio. I played at the Rio and majors have played with Rio on tour, whatever. But when you ever you played with Rio Chicago back then, they had 50 media people with them everywhere they went because they were the face of Asia. You're right. They were the face of Asian golf. The entire continent was behind Rio ishikawa and I was just another guy. I was just a field filler on the PGA Tour, but I got paired with Rio because we were the same category, same age. Same rookie year. But that's Hideki now. Hideki has that kind of attention on him. He is Asia's golfer. And this is a huge deal if he goes to live. What's a massive deal? I mean, it brings a lot more attention to the live tour, especially in Asia, where you could get, you could get ten, ten X the media attention. And we wouldn't see it because we're over here in America, but if ten X, the media attention happens in Asia, they got to look out because they start covering the live tour more than the PGA Tour over there. It's going to be a bad deal for the PGA

I have a friend who he will know that everyone will know that I'm talking about him, but he has, this is not like a pet peeve, but it's about that. He now has started to Hideki and has the pause. And even though he does it all the time, you know, it's like everyone's teed off and he's teeing off and it's that like little and he goes like this and then you think, okay, I'm now gonna walk as soon as he's done and you start your body starts to get in motion and then you realize he hasn't swung yet.
