"And, of course on your smart speaker. I have loved hearing from you so far, And I know that vaccines vaccinations, especially when it comes to cove. It can be controversial, but really kind of what we're digging into today and I see your calls here. We're gonna get to those in just a sec. Is. Why aren't some of you getting a vaccine. I'm just curious, not pushing anything. I just You know, there's so many different reasons why the other piece of the pie here is there's 8% of the population, according to the U. S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, they're saying there's 8% of the population who got the first dose. But have not returned to get the second dose. So let's listen really quick to who may be the most polarizing expert on the White House Cove in 19 tests pours course we're talking Dr Anthony Fauci here. He is on the latest findings in a recent CDC study on why many Americans aren't getting that second vaccine shot. Well about 44% of adults reported that the vaccines provided strong protection by 1 to 2 weeks after the second dose, so 44% people are on board. Clearly with the second dose. 20% believed that the vaccines provides strong protection before the second dose and 36% in a recent survey. We're unsure. So I did a little research of my own because, you know, I knew that the first shot wasn't enough. So here's what I found when I did my research. Is that the first shot if you if you don't know it helps your body recognize the virus, and then it gets your immune system already, And then, when you get the second shot, it strengthens that immune response And that makes your body more prepared to fight the infection. Does that make sense? Um Ah. Lot of side effects, of course, have come from the second devote dose, especially Fizer. But again, if only half of all the Americans are willing to get vaccinated or get this second shot They're saying the director of National Institutes of Health could say covert 19 could stick around for years. Let's let's jump back to the phone lines. I want to get your thoughts. Let's check in with Mark from grass Valley Mark, Thanks for hanging on. Hey, Kelly, How are you today? I'm great. How are you doing? Good. First of all, I want to speak for probably tens of thousands of people that miss you on TV and sound. Thank you so much. Well, you know what I say? I'm still here and here we are chatting. So this is isn't this better Help your communications business is going well, It's going great. Thank you so much for asking Good for you. I just want to say, you know, I've got my first shot and it's a Madonna and I go in for my Second shot on the 13th. And that's one week before I flied Idaho to move my 86 year old mother down here. Who was that? Both her shots and we're gonna be traveling to Oregon. And right now, I guess Oregon's pretty hot right now. There's several counties that are shut down. I just saw on the news This morning. 15 counties are receding in Oregon and I'm gonna have my like I said, I get my second shot on the 13th. So I'll have about a week under my belt after the second shot for I get her. But that to me that gives me peace of mind knowing that knowing that I'm gonna more than likely be okay. I mean, it's not like we're gonna be going out or doing anything, you know, Standing hotel a couple nights and you know, and you know, in the U haul on the way down, but my I guess my point is, is that everybody should get the damn vaccine. I understand everybody's you know. Presidency. My daughter is not going to get it because she's 23 years old. She's pregnant with twins. And I understand her to hurt and of it because they're no studies on long term about fertility or anything, so I get it, but that everybody that you know it is, you know, 50 and up or whatnot. Just get the vaccine and it will make the population a lot healthier. Hey, Mark, Thanks for calling and appreciate that. You know, Mark makes a good point. As far as being with an older person. A lot of us have aging parents right on by just does offer a little bit of peace of mind. I am curious. You know, if you maybe are thinking while the first shots enough, I'm gonna skip the second one. I think honestly, I think a lot of that probably has to do with the side effects thing that we talked about the unknown that we've already talked about. Honestly, I think kind of part of it is just the inconvenience of going back again. And they give you that automatic appointment And then if you can't make that one, it's like how many of us have had to cancel doctor's appointments because something comes up at work or Our kids get sick or there's a you know, soccer game that we can't miss or whatever it is on Ben just probably the timing of it, not understanding the importance of it and again, just probably being a little bit. Miss informed and not really knowing where to look. I totally get it. I will say about that second shot. There's a 36 fold difference of getting fully vaccinated versus partially I guess it's kind of better than nothing, but I did it. I don't know. I probably shouldn't even say that. I think it's probably not really in your best interest to not get the second one. But let's see. Let's see what Tyler's up to in paradise. Tyler, How are you doing today? Welcome to the John McGuinness Show. Hey, Jelly is great to hear you on the radio. You appreciate that. See you get it back soon, Using any of the Any of the shots..

They started back up again. Fuelled by lower supply as more sellers kept their homes off the market now. The overall market is way up with housing prices at least five to ten percent higher this year compared to the last however it's a very lopsided distorted market. No one wants to buy condos or small spaces. Everyone wants big spaces further out of the city and anything with a backyard. Is there a way to profit from these changes. Hey kelly thanks so much for calling in could you hear from you. I've actually heard much the same thing about the real estate market. Of course real estate markets very quite a lot by location the market in brooklyn is going to be completely different from the birmingham alabama market. And it's not just extreme comparisons like that from city to city state to state province to province etc lots of variations but generally speaking in areas. I'm familiar with. I've heard quite a bit the same as kelly. How at the beginning of the pandemic everything slug way down. But then it picked back up because of the difference in supply and demand and such and for sale prices are actually up a lot of places just not for condos or anything that's a small urban space and that's fueled by a couple of concerns first of all people are looking for backyards and outdoor spaces or anything that's that's larger you know the a small apartment But also it's not just because a safety concern. It's also because everybody is working from home working from home and going to school at home and even as we come out of the pandemic hopefully or at least transition to a new phase. I think more and more people are going to continue to be in those kind of environments. So that's why people are looking for larger spaces now inside us a life. I think it's important not just real estate. Because let's make this broader. You always wanna look at what people are missing or not paying attention to you. Do want to be a real estate investor in the traditional sense and snap up properties future. Rentals maybe this is a good time to acquire some of those condos. If you're thinking five to seven years out or whatever but i would say also like use this time to make sure your house in order like your own house you know no pun intended there You know make sure you have a good credit score. Make sure you have your emergency fund three to six months worth of expenses. Pay off any debt that you can or can't pay it off. Try to consolidate it to low interest at so you're at least not going further and further behind and perhaps most important of all like before you invest in real estate. Consider other options. As i said in the beginning like there's so many other things you can do i think. Having a diversified real estate portfolio people always talk about. I think that's a noble goal. It's not that. I think it's it's bad. It's just like so many other options. As i said i'd also requires you to have significant assets in the first place. So if you're not there yet Defer that goal and work on something else and don't be discouraged because you know first of all those other options and second remember that a lot of those other real estate investors are not necessarily doing that. Well you always hear these success stories about them. But there's a lot of people who get into this and and have have trouble whether it's with reservation or finding renters are just realizing that the whole thing is much more of a hassle so keep all those things in mind and look at what people are missing or not paying attention to listeners. If you have a question or comment or an update of your own come to school dot com slash questions. Continue to feature them It's one of my favorite things to hear what you're up to. I've always felt like everything I do is like she. Magnifies it until like I killed somebody you know and it's like something so trivial and silly so for me. I feel like I always feel very frustrated and very judged by her and maybe it's some of my insecurities as well like I don't know I'm sure it is a lot like I've vets she does bring out the site of me that with issues that I dealt with like not feeling good enough feeling like you know because I was raised in a really small Portani was not a rich girl growing up even living in Dallas sometimes and going to events and being you know my husband having money. I never really feel like I fit in a lot. I don't know so maybe that's part of it too. If I hate fighting with her and I feel like in the past I've always just been like I'm sorry 'cause it's torture fighting with her and because it kind of goes round in circles and you never get off and but this year I was like I have to tell her I feel because I was being very. I was becoming very resentful and you're here today with the new housewife Gary Okay so tell the listeners a little bit about her because you know her better than we do right now. You know what I love her. I think she's going. I think the audience is GonNa love her. She's a spitfire. I love people who don't take themselves seriously and she doesn't she kind of reminds me at brandy and not sense but she's extremely loyal an amazing friend she's funny yeah. She's feisty and sometimes she says things and it cannot believe she said it which I appreciate. She's just like I think she's GonNa fit in amazingly. We get a sneak peek at that massive house she has yes and you tell us a little bit about that house. You know I've only been on the outside of it. I've never been invite her house but it's it's beautiful but yeah I've never i. She needs invite me over. It's wild yeah if it's beautiful I've seen on the show and then I picked her up before dropped her off after you also have a nonprofit that you run with your husband. How is that going? We have right now. I think close to one hundred and seventy the people in college at between like we pay for and our employees their spouses and their children. I think we're GONNA start paying for grandchildren as well but it's been amazing and it's been a great way to for people just to be excited about where they work. I think it's something that kind of brought our company together gather because whenever looking at it travis was like yeah you know younger people want to go to school but what about these older people that are factory workers. Who've you know who've been sanding away for twenty years? What would they want and for me as a mother and for him as a father? All you want life is for your children to do better than you and had ought to have experiences and opportunities that you would not be able to have and it's sometimes it's hard for somebody who doesn't make a lot of money to afford those experiences for their families so it's been incredible edible. That's awesome. Do you think looking back at the last couple of seasons how do you how do you think you've changed. How my Gosh the first two seasons? I was terrified the first season I cried everyday films because I felt like I was going to just like ruined my life. The second season was really hard. I feel like I didn't deal with my friendship with brandy very well but you know what it was such a blessing because I after the second season. I've felt like I'm GonNa have a nervous breakdown. I'M NOT GONNA lie. Um I'm and I and I sought therapy and and I went to a place to kind of help me figure out my life and just become a healthier person and I feel like this show Joe. I may be one of the only housewives to say this but I feel like the show has literally changed my life for the better because I am probably only for the first time in my life. I'm fine with WHO I am. A you know whenever I met make mistakes. It's not the end of the world. It just means. I'm human. and I've never felt like that. I I always felt like I was letting people down. You know if I wasn't doing the right thing all the time so it's very freeing so for me. I feel like it's helped me learn who I am on which is really sad. 'cause I'm almost forty but it's always learning no matter what right like it must be so different to to be able to experience something and then watch it back. Ah then you learn while you're filming and then you learn after the fact as well because you're like Oh. Maybe I shouldn't have said that or maybe I shouldn't have done this for me. I always held back so every time I was always I should've I should've gone with my guts and this year I got more. I don't know if it's the right thing to do. So you know you maybe you should go back to your old ways is there's always learning and figuring it out you know so. What do we have to look forward to this season? What are you most excited about? Gosh you know what I don't ever get to see the personal stories of all the other women so for me. I always really look forward to seeing what is going on behind closed doors with them because it's something something that journey that I don't get to take with them. Then I love anytime Brady and I get a film. It's always my favorites. what else you know family stuff. I what I I love about. This show is I literally have a video series of my children growing up and that is something that money cannot buy because it's just really incredible credible to go by and watch like season one two now and how big they are and how small and cute they were back then so not so small and cute anymore. I think they are not as innocent but but no for me I just I don't like seeing the fighting stuff because it's bad night on twitter for me but regardless I I. I do enjoy the journey I appreciate. I think also for me. I think you have to be very appreciative on. You're in this position because I've never been so you know it was an actress. It's like it's a it's a big blessing and a big gift and I feel like you have to be very appreciative of that blessing great well. Thank you so much tastic. Thanks for coming in. We're so excited about the real housewives of Orange County. I WanNa talk about Spencer because he is so mature and perceptive for for his age. I love him. Well first of all it's because he has the mental age a forty-five exactly. You're like a nine year old man actually mental age is forty five what what it was like some dumb Testa took an AP psychology which I wanNa know what online quiz he took to get that because I'm very curious about what my mental ages because has it's either like forty five or seventeen like I'm not sure which one but I I would like to take it but just the way he was speaking Tamra and how eloquently he was explaining thing things in the psychology behind why he thinks that his brother was acting that way. I was just like Oh my God like you are the generation that will save us. Thank you Hugh Spencer and Sir get set. I also just found it. It tickled me. How Eddie burst out laughing when he clarified half brothers Yeah right right? I mean you know it's a technicality but gotta say gotTA. Call it out. The bottom line is that you guys are brothers Afro minor detail. What did you think about Kelly and the family issues so I had no idea this episode owed that makes me really sad because I saw how close she and her mom were and her brother? We didn't see as much but the fact that they live together. I mean that kind of set a lot to me right so the fact that it's been two years and they haven't talked is crazy no well especially knowing jolie as a grand daughter and and just not being able to have that relationship because of this tension between Kelly and her mom it's really sad yeah. I will say that actually just today Hey Kelly posted a picture on instagram of her mom and said thank you so much for watching Joe. Li like love you oh so it seems maybe sense as maybe we'll see this season. They've worked out whatever their issues are and hopefully a rebuilding a relationship because every time family issues come up I just think about Kim's souls Yak and Croix Bearman I and how neither of them talk to their families anymore. Yeah that's crazy. It's really crazy. I I feel like you know all families have some some kind of issues yeah. Everyone has their baggage and things get complicated. You know especially as parents get older and there's issues with you know taking care of them and money. There's always sort sort of something but it's families family and you have to kind of stick together and get through that so I'm. I'm hoping that they you know it seems like they're. They're making those steps. I met a couple couple. The other day they just got married and I was like you know something came about children and they said we don't really want kids but we're going to have at least one and the wife was like because you know I worry about someone taking care of me when I get older and although it was running through my head was like that doesn't work out for a lot of rice yeah well especially if that child ever kind of receives that in like a in a way you you know I I don't know like I feel like raising the kid. That's going to show through in their parenting right. It's even like when people are like Oh. We had the second kid kid to keep the first kid company that I get that. It's probably a very common thing Joe. It sounds weird. It does also speaking of Kelly. What are your thoughts on Dr Brian Renting the apartment right below her? There's something bowed him. Are you getting a little brook see vibe. I was gonNA say dirty ready. John it yeah it just I understand that he's only there two days a week but that is a little too close for comfort. Yeah and I felt like uncomfortable trouble when Kelly's like I told Shannon what we did about them having sex for two hours we just had sex all.

It was you know, it was a lot of hanging out with my parents wouldn is what it is. It was a lot of like. So my mom gets like, you know, anyone can say anything might not even offensive to her just anything. And she like, okay. Here's an example. So she's like I need to tell you about something that happened like what? And she's like as as I've been substitute teaching. So she salutes teach as you know, as we know. She's substitute teaching at the school that she used to teach high school at and she's like, so I've been getting booked on a lot of the same days that this other substitute teachers been getting booked and he came up to me in the hall, and he was like, hey, miss Nugent. You're my competition. We keep getting booked on the same days, and she was like, how dare you? And he was like, oh, I just. I just need you know, like when people retire from working here. They usually want nothing to do with the school. And she was like I enjoy my time to students, and then she's like, can you believe that he attacked me in this way? And I was like what what are you taught? What because he didn't. I was like I think he was just like trying to make small talk with you turn then. She's lying. I was like I think he was. Yeah. I was like I think just trying to make a joke, and she's like, I know jokes, for example, when I've been for example, she's like when I've been substitute teaching one of my colleagues that I used to work with he left me the notes for the day, and at the end, he wrote, hey for old time sake. Why don't you grade the quizzes and bring them back, and I wrote ha good one. And I was like that is a non story, so not place. Nothing. Not. And she's like, that's joking. And I was like it's not even really I mean, it's about the same level. It really is the same level. So I don't understand why one is a violent attack. I don't know why you would vote competition when it comes to learning, sir. Anyway, have to go run a re too. She was she was like, I don't know why he would want to compete with me. And I was like I don't think he literally wants to compete with you. But this is what it was. And and also like if you're getting books on the same days that means you're not you're both winning one. Also, that means you're doing different shit. Like is not if it means you're not against each other. You're against whoever you beat out getting a job when that guy versus the world. It was a lot of if that gives you the flavor of what the heart is like with my mother and father. It was a lot of my mom thinking that everyone was attacking her and everyone being like why what where is the tuck in her being like how could you gave up on me? So there's a lot of that. There were also some good times. There were some fun times mother made a Christmas tree shaped spinach dip, pastry thing. That was like twisted. It looked really nice shoes. Very proud of it shows normally bake good for her. Yeah. Yes. I was that was a fun thing as me and her were baking together, and I made a chicken and that was success. A baked chicken, I baked chicken roasted it. Yeah. And then the presents were mostly everyone pretty much like their presence. So that was nice to good. How is your holiday? How's your helicase skank? Day. How is your horrid day fucking slat you fucking slap her Santa? Back in Revie's jangle. Come down my chimney, Santa slut. Fantasy slut. Yeah. And if you don't like them, you know, what if you know, if you don't like them. That's why everybody can do their own tables, just hours. We're not saying it's the best is just hours. And he responds please, tell me how it is. I can try to look taller, I'm dying to know. And she then comments, he's taller counts. Babe tall where it counts baby is my anthem of this year. Yeah.
