that all right well then I'll let you go first what do you think of television as a medium to control it's a wonderful medium for control and you know on it's hard for me to think of it as being anything else if we are not selective about how we watch it how how much attention we pay to what was being told so first of all Michael there's something there for years was just denied it said it got the label of predictive programming what it amounts to is look through the agenda in whatever it is you're watching on television thank you you can watch the series and whatever you see I mean certainly there is an issue that's for ten and predictive programming is designed to advance society to move it forward so if you think for example and I don't in fact I'm gonna apologize and take just a second here when I spoke about animal studies earlier I don't like animal studies but the studies are too powerful and what they show us I've already received a comment that you know how could I be so insensitive to share these animal studies even though I didn't do it well the reason I did is because the message is so powerful so now I'm going to and again with sensitivity if you think about the gay community is a case in point there was a time not long ago the DSM manual called the disease then we started to see a pace of relaxing attitudes and how did we see that takes we saw it in the media we saw it in entertainment it became normal it became natural then it became common and today it's very very common and you know we just we just take it as part of our society that's what predictive programming is about if I want to change some aspect of society I do it through entertainment if I want to convince you of a of a policy of propaganda I can also do that through entertainment and and and both of these have been done in a row or well documented now there's a flicker rate that comes with television the flicker rate is such that it it brings about an altered state of consciousness a MESMERIZES you does all it you know here's the body you know I remember years ago a study was done where young people were incentivized with a pretty good reward to just maintain normal beta consciousness while they're watching television all I had to do was maintain it for five minutes nobody maintained it for three how bout those kids in Japan who were kind of mesmerized by a video game well you know three is probably you know when you think about these multi player games like Star Trek Kunin and every Korean plays it in another examination of drop dead playing this game they get so intense to it you have the same kind of thing go back to your question Michael first of all what happens when you sit in front of that television set is your brain wave activity isn't trained in it slows down it slows into a state do we call Alfa no I've testified is a expert witness on hypnosis in a court of law and I can tell you what we say about hypnosis in a "So back to your question Michael first of all what happens when you sit in front of that television set is your brain wave activity isn't trained in it slows down it slows into a state we call Alfa no I've testified is a expert witness on hypnosis in a court of law and I can tell you what we say about hypnosis in a scientific sense it is a heightened state of suggestibility it is earmarked by a slow brain wave patterns Hausa and Sadia your normal brain wave pattern is data so you are placed into this altered state of consciousness hi bluesy jazz stability and now here comes the medium as C. H. the agenda and or maybe it's a commercial I've argued for a long time they sell sickness through television the Gompers commented down it's going to get you but Hey look wanted because Hey KBC and then they show you relax supplying position being doted upon by some pretty lady like there's a reward to getting ill and there's a disclaimer at the end you can't even hear it yeah that's true and and and remember the restless legs syndrome story yeah yeah yeah I mean Michael television is designed to program as much as it is to entertain now that's set that doesn't mean that you can't you know subscribe to like a YouTube TV and watch Ted talks and you know if if if I'm going to get programs if I'm going to be in this altered state this slow brain waves which is the same brain wave state they use in the technology call suggests the PDF for super xcelerated learning well then why am why am I not using that to learn something to do something positive for myself most of the technologies we have today they're they're somewhat akin to a physician's scalpel you know it depends on what you use that scalpel forest whether it's good or bad well then we're gonna take a quick break pretty soon we're gonna come back and take final phone calls Alden Taylor with us and don't forget his offer of a free MP three audio to help you boost your optimism and to get you rolling again and that is so important these days it is so very important to be able to just stay positive Ellen Taylor our special guest here on coast to coast speaking of you too don't forget our you tube channel the grab it's YouTube's coast to coast AM official that's how you find it in the YouTube search engine and we've got a link it coast to coast AM dot com at the top it's free to subscribe to go ahead and sign up for that too back with final calls in a moment on coast to coast AM don't forget to watch your TV show beyond belief with George.

"To go through all kinds of hoops is very similar so he suffered this imposter syndrome ET didn't feel that he really deserves to be where he was what I've learned about the imposter syndrome over the years is that we all suffered somewhat from their there is there are some very fast you all feel like well you know maybe I I don't deserve better reserve if the world really knew who I was if they knew all my secrets you know Ole used boy that would destroy me I mean no one would have any respect for me the center and so forth that's what it is two things to know about it George first it should and we all album okay because you're not perfect and if you recall you and I had a conversation about this a few years ago so there is this idea of our ideal selves there is a mom our self images dating constantly is pushing us toward perfection you know this is this is who I should be this is how you should respond he is in Freudian psychology you know we would probably you know this is not the ego this is view the eagle on the super ego there we go I got it out this is a super ego it it wants you to be perfect good point let's take some calls for you now Michael in Kansas to get a start today Michael go ahead hi George hi Lauren thanks for taking my call sure thing hi Michael that's kind of weird that you mention imposter syndrome I never heard that term before but I do suffer from that for sure you know and I yeah that's a that's weird but I have a theory and observation question for you guys okay about T. V. specifically I believe that Americans and then manipulated and misguided and ultimately disabled through television it has a hypnotizing affect and it disables you hold your eyes your ears your brain and your body in a state of helplessness keeping you from moving so you can't disturb anything keeps your asking question keeps you out of this because of course I am not Elvin had said something about hope making you mentally ill and I think T. V. entities and do the same thing and I think we've been encouraged to turn on each other and begin divided through media and a television especially and I I wondered if you guys had any thoughts about that all right well then I'll let you go first what do you think of television as a medium to control it's a wonderful medium for control and you know on it's hard for me to think of it as being anything else if we are not selective about how we watch it mmhm how how much attention we pay to what was being told so first of all Michael there's something that for years was just denied it said it got the label of predictive programming what it amounts to is look through the agenda in whatever it is you're watching on television okay do you you can watch the series and what whatever you see I mean certainly there is an issue that's brought in and predictive programming is designed to advance society to move it forward so if you think for example and I don't in fact I'm gonna apologize and take just a second here when I spoke about animal studies earlier I don't like animal studies but the studies are too powerful and what they show us I've already received a comment that you know how could I be so insensitive to share these animal studies even though I didn't do it well the reason I did is because the message is so powerful so now I'm going to and again with sensitivity if you think about the gay community is a case in point there was a time not long ago that the DSM manual called the disease then we started to see a pace of relaxing attitudes and how did we see that pay we saw it in media we saw it in entertainment it became normal it became natural then it became common in today it's very very common and you know we just we just take it as part of our society that's what predictive programming is about if I want to change some aspect of society I do it through entertainment if I want to convince you of a of a policy of propaganda I can also do that through entertainment and and and both of these have been done in a row or well documented now there's a flicker rate that comes with television the flicker rate is such that it it brings about an altered state of consciousness MESMERIZES you does all it you know here's the but you know I remember years ago a study was done where young people were incentivized with a pretty good reward to just maintain normal beta consciousness while they're watching television all I had to do was maintain it for five minutes nobody maintained it for three how bout those kids in Japan who were kind of mesmerized by a video game well you know and careers probably you know when you think about these multi player games like Star Trek in then and every Korean plays it and in other examination of drop dead playing this game they get so intense to it you have the same kind of thing so back to your question Michael first of all what happens when you sit in front of that television set is your brain wave activity isn't trained in it slows down it slows into a state we call Alfa no I've testified is a expert witness on hypnosis in a court of law and I can tell you what we say about hypnosis in a scientific sense it is a heightened state of suggestibility it is earmarked by is slow brain wave patterns how far and Sadia your normal brain wave pattern is data so you are placed into this altered state of consciousness hi suggestibility and now here comes the media message the agenda end or maybe it's a commercial I've argued for a long time they sell sickness through television the Gompers commented down it's gonna get you but Hey look when it does Hey KBC and then they show you relax supplying position being doted upon by some pretty lady like there's a reward to getting ill and there's a disclaimer at the end you can't even hear it yeah that's true and I didn't remember the restless legs syndrome story yeah yeah yeah I mean Michael television is designed to program as much as it is to entertain now that's set that doesn't mean that you can't you know subscribe to like a YouTube TV and watch Ted talks and you know if if if I'm going to get programs if I'm going to be in this altered state this slow brain waves which is the same brain wave state they use in the technology called suggests the PDF for super xcelerated learning well then why am why am I not using that to learn something to do something positive for myself most of the technologies we have today they're they're somewhat akin to a physician's scalpel you know it depends on what you use that scalpel forest whether it's good or bad well then we're gonna take a quick break pretty soon we're gonna.

"About the stress and and what causes that I build psyche tension all of this is the town of productive to the optimal operation of our bodies and our minds so doing what we can do to de stress is is it one of the more important things that we should be doing now you know it it I I know there's a lot of people are walking in some places you're not even allowed to do that but you can do exercising your home even if it's just calluses sure there's the Royal Canadian Air Force exercise booklet that you can pick up on Amazon all your exercises you can do without equipment the wonderful right now and you know that's what we should be doing exercise is a great antidote to stress and it's also really is a great way to keep your cardiovascular system strong so doing something like exercise change the way you're thinking you know all the research shows that the idea of a self fulfilling prophecy we create if you are a perception our expectation and then that expectation pre disposes how we see the world so if if we're right if my ideation is all negative all my god we're going to do the world's coming to an end I don't know I guess if if that's where your mom heightening stress I need to change that ideation I need to think of things that are positive things ever inspiring maybe I see an inspiring movie again I I come laugh laughter is is a great way you know if you're if you're in your home when you're with your family hold your family a hug you want if you're gonna stay six feet away from them well I don't think you do in your own home and that a hug releases oxytocin so unless they're sick and you have a minute another room well with that nuclear family is already you know exchanged everything necessary that if someone's sick you're all going to get sick so what I'm assuming you have a healthy family just Hogan good to go there and it just took a big hug think of the sayings that you couldn't do that increase the strength of your immune system the blues smile on your face that warm your heart you know listen you can go online and there are all kinds of ways that you can contribute you can help others you can do it online and I'm gonna tell you about giving money just giving you know moral support to people social networking is wonderful for that in the helping others it is helping yourself well you know I learned many many years ago that one of the best therapies I ever employed with a client was giving them a list of work where I should say that differently having them make a list keep a diary of good deeds do one good deed a day absolutely inaugural edition in that street zero means look around it what have you got a beautiful skies today is it pretty well there your wife is gorgeous or Hey you're warming you're comfortable you're well fed from the moment you know look get a gratitude attitude signs something to be grateful for our producer Tom Dan highs rolled in once in a while he'll be food shopping and he will systematically pick somebody that he sees in the supermarket who is in line preferably behind him and when he gets to the cashier he'll say here's my credit card run it now for them and he pays their entire supermarket bill that's wonderful very similar in there and I'm I I told never started Tom says he gets a warm fuzzy feeling as a result when he walks out he feels good about that he's his wife is making a difference he is helping others he is paying it forward and and and that that's important to help for the person but it's also important for Tom it keeps calm positive he keeps Tom feeling light life goes on in my life makes a difference I have the ability to make the world lighter for some other human beings absolutely and what do you mean by the imposter syndrome what is that well you know that's what we're going to jump off track of what we're actually going to motivational nudges the book now button in and then I wrote this book because there's so many people would ask me to do I decided I wanted to change but you know I just wasn't able to make that change I'm what what is it stops me from making that change I mean what what holds me back is so then you start looking at the things that can hold a person back you know self sabotage in in defense mechanisms and implicit learning I mean we we now know that he is that implicit learning that we have in our early years I mean who wants to four five and six in specially those early years but even later that implicit learning doesn't degrade white car explicit learning to use in the you know you can have al's climbers in advance but the implicit learning that you you acquired and most of it takes on an emotional framework that doesn't degrade so who's one of the things that also holds us back is as you mentioned the imposter syndrome and what is that well it's formally defined as a situation where you feel that you don't deserve the success you have introducing attorney is a case in point over an excellent trial attorney I should say I knew I know is known Los Angeles California very bright man mensa member okay he went to law school and never had to work so he he felt accounted for it everybody had to work everybody had to study really hard they had to go through all kinds of hoops and things should work so is he he suffered this imposter syndrome mediated and feel that he really deserves to be where he was what I've learned about the imposter syndrome over the years is that we all suffered somewhat from that there are there are in some form or fashion all feel like well you know maybe I I don't deserve better reserve if the world really knew who I was if they knew all my secrets you know how old he is boy that would destroy me I mean no one would have any respect for me the center and so forth that's what it is two things to know about it George first it's the game we all album okay because we're not perfect and if you recall you and I had a conversation about this a few years ago so there is this idea of our ideal selves this is among our self images dating constantly is pushing us toward perfection you know this is this is who I should be this is how you should respond he is in Freudian psychology you know we would probably you know this is not the ego this is the ID the ego and the superego there we go I got it out this is a super ego it it wants you to be perfect good point let's take some calls for you now Michael in Kansas to get us started day Michael go ahead hide your dryer room thanks for taking my call sure thing hi Michael that's kind of weird that you mention imposter syndrome I never heard that term before but I do suffer from that for sure you know and I yeah that's a that's weird but I have a theory and observation question for you guys okay belt T.
