"To say. And I want to thank bright Bart. I want to thank right scoop. I want to thank others for Linking to the book to its very early in this process. Doesn't come out until In July. We take the gloves off early here and were duking it out. I want you to listen to James Clyburn very carefully. I know it's painful, nonetheless, cut to go and I think we will go out on explain to the American people that we have got. To re imagine a lot of things in this country. So we have to re imagine a lot of things in this country. Ladies and gentlemen. Says James Clyburn. We have to re imagine a lot of things in this country. That's just the police. No, we got to re imagine. Everything. Everything under the rubric of infrastructure. Go ahead. Include what infrastructure really is. I'm amazed at the number of people who seem to feel that the infrastructure is what it always has been. I think about how stupid that Linus I'm amazed. At the number of people who seem to feel that infrastructure is what it has always been. Has there been a dumber sentence uttered in recent history, Mr Medusa? How could you possibly think infrastructure means what it's always meant. We're re imaging infrastructure. Don't you understand when we're reimagining? Ah, lot of stuff in the United States. Why? Because we're marks is that's what we got to reimagine and re image. That's what we have to do. Reimagine the Constitution. Re imagine our economic system re imagine our currency reimagined just Re imagine. Go ahead. Yeah, that we did not have the railroad until they ever have, like committed if the infrastructure yeah. The railroad is infrastructure. Kind of proven our point, aren't you? And by the way, Abraham Lincoln didn't nationalize the railroad. He made it much easier for the rail roads to be built. Go ahead. You did not have the interstate highway to Dwight. Action out, maybe right. That's infrastructure. So far so good. Go ahead. A infrastructure, Adam, and we're not gonna have broadband without a big infrastructure. Now. What's the problem with broadband with a big infrastructure program? Ladies and gentlemen? First of all the vast majority countries already covered by broadband, But this is one of the bug a boos they put out there. What's the problem with anybody? No. Raise your hand. And the government controls it controls the substance. That's what they'll do the light claim to it. You cannot trust These Marxists. They don't believe in free speech. They don't believe in a competition of ideas. They don't believe in capitalism. They're telling. That's this. Every day in different kinds of phrases and reinvented words and all kinds of stuff. They're telling us this Go ahead. Joe Biden has made it very clear that when it comes to infrastructure, it's gotta be beyond what is a traditional way. So he hasn't really said what they mean and we know what they mean. They mean Every stupid ass idea, A bureaucrat and a politician comes up with for giving out freebies for changing the society and the economic system for redistributing wealth, class warfare, oppressed an oppressor and on and on and on. That's what they mean Infrastructure. What's wrong with you? You know, Martin times. That means what More government, more programs, more debt, more spending more regulations. That's how we move the country forward. Don't you know? Where does that work? Nowhere. I don't know how many private sector jobs Clyburn's had or the Stumpy Heuer or Nancy Pelosi. Not many. And I don't want to hear When you were 14 years old. I'm talking about as an adult. Joe Biden zero, Chuck Schumer zero Nancy Pelosi's zero Because they get elected office. They hang on as long as anyone possibly can. They have enormous amount of power. They know how to run everything. Suddenly, the Renaissance people and by the way, they're not only Renaissance people, the righteous and their noble all the rest of us. We dweebs. He pleads. All of us. We're not working in and for the government. We don't know anything. Meanwhile, we pay for everything. We invent everything. And then there's Nancy stretch. Even Pelosi. Historic figure should be sitting in the back or what's his start. There's Nancy Pelosi. Why First woman speaker. Okay, That's historic, Wonderful. And yet, ladies and gentlemen, I ask you a question. Are we supposed to ignore genitalia, Mr Producer? You're gonna hear over. Look at this. The first two women ever to sit behind president giving us me We've got its historic look at their two women. Women women, There's two women. Didn't Nancy Pelosi say We're gonna ban certain words? Like gender identity. Is this happening all through American schools and bathrooms and gyms and everything. Aren't you supposed to ignore the genitalia? You're supposed to ignore the genitalia, and then they're going to say Look at this. We have two women with women's genitalia sitting right behind the president of the United States, Joe Biden. So now. Now we focus on the genitalia. My okay. Richard. All right. So now. Forget about everything you've heard. All of it. It's what's between your ears, not what's between your legs that mast And so while you're looking at the TV screen you're gonna hear on cable TV on network TV. My.

"So before I forget Hoyas Hoyas who is the one I forgot is the lovely Hoya Australis. Lisa how Oh gosh forget this plot while he was sitting on my kitchen window sill where normally don't keep toys so I think it just got a little bit hidden in forgotten when I was pulling those plants together. Four my tour But it's a really nice plant. My one is a fairly spokesman that I picked up. I bought it from North One. God Center Regular Listen. I'm a bit of a fan of that particular shop so this was bought their last year. Some time I can't quite remember when there's a smallish plant I think it's actually to cuttings in apart thought and so far it's going up. The stems haven't got long enough to the point where they start to drop down but the foliage on this plant is he's really lovely. If you can imagine a leaf that starts out its margins in the darkest darkest possible green and then in any regular random patton becomes ever lighter to move towards a Pale Green Line Green Center. It's glossy it's leathery. It's a lovely Hoyer leaf and the nice thing about this plot also is that the new leaves come through this rubble of carmine. Mind pink color and you do get flashes of carmine pink in the League as well and in the stem depending on how much light the plants are in so this is really really nice. Hoyer I can't wait for this to get bigger and start trail. It's an easy one I would say it's as easy as you regular Konno's is and so I think it's also fairly easy to get hold of now so it's one of those kind of entry heuer's that will really get you into this particular genus of plants. So I apologize. Lisa forgetting Getting you or do love you very much and yeah if you've got a lease bigger and more developed with lots of pictures so I can see what my plants GonNa turn into so then we go. That's number thirteen. I don't think it's going to be long. Before my recollection becomes even bigger. I just discovered a website in the Netherlands. Is that sells loads of rooted and unrooted Harare. Cuttings there's also somebody in the UK who sells on Ebay so as soon as the weather warms up. Yup Yup I think I might be getting my collection somewhat. Yeah I'm Gung Ho crazy right now but I just can't get enough these plants
Jane's Hoya Tour
"I'll have gathered the Hoyas from all around my house and brought the here to take a look at the mall and to give you a guided tour just because most of them are up quite high to look at and talk about the same time so here we are with the hoyas choice and I have. I thought I had thirteen but I think actually two four six eight ten twelve. I actually think less forgotten one which is entirely possible that I have a dozen of these things. Let's Talk I the one that I've had the longest and that is my variegated Julia Canosa which well let's be fair. It's a shadow of its former self. If you listen to the Hoyer episode with Doc Chamberlain you will remember my Hoya. Canosa suffered a terrible fate. which was that a load? Some white completely white leaves to grow. There was a stem. The head completely white leaves on nothing else rather than judiciously. Cutting those off. I decided to leave them to grow. And it suddenly said the plot into a tailspin and I just about about one. She save a single cutting which I then replanted a poll. And this is what I've got now east. Not Dating Site Body's already flowered award and the single cutting has branched into two different stem cells looking reasonably good. Let's just describe this heuer. It's probably the most common hoyer that you see out there. What most people would call the wax clouds or wax flower? Eight Scott the standard luther. Relief that you'll be familiar with in the royal family. I don't exactly what variegation this Kovar is actually cooled by but it's the one with cream edges basically creamy white edges and a kind of a slight silvery splash in the center. The leaves are I would say fairly standard thickness. And they're tiny bit thought furry and it's a very attractive plant and I'm glad to say score really really well if I see any of those white leaves though the first thing I'm GonNa do is get rid of them because as I said before it was bad knees when this happened so this is doing pretty well now now. I think what I'm probably going to do with. This plant is taking cutting come spring because I would like it to push out a bit more have a bit more growth going on the part east during the classic thing. People worry about this but it really is totally normal for Hoyas and in fact many posit scramble and climb about which is putting hanging out completely bare stems with no leaves on them. I and you start to panic and think whereby leaves but what the parts doing really. Well I think it's what he's doing i. I think I've read this somewhere. But pops botanist can confirm this for me. They put out feelers to see whether it's a good place for them to grow and then once bats confirmed that they're happy that little extra ground they've colonized then they start putting up leave so they don't really waste any energy before expanding into new areas. What you'll also notice along the stem of the Hoyer this particular where on many others bumpy bits? which again can be a bit alarming? You might I think you've got scale but he's actually just adventitious roots which Tabu popout and then really sought to grow if they come across anything. That's route that's they can route into so this one's hanging so there's nothing to reach into. Those adventitious roots tend to say quite small. But they're not a problem just just waiting for the opportunity to route into something. So that's my hair. Canossa the flowers on this sort of Shell pink furry the thing that got me into Hoyas in the first place because just are so unusual gorgeous and they fly quite easily as I've already said so. Yep The flowers are great is the the foliage is great. It's a really lovely plant and if you have only one then on also is a good choice. It's easy to get hold of two which is not true of all who the WHO is. We're GONNA talk about today okay from the sublime to the ridiculous we're gonNA look at Hoya. Linear ours now. Now if you remember this specimen of mine mine came from James Wall as cutting when I visited his place. And it's done really well I'm going to take a lot of cuttings off this plot and yet it's still quite big and lush now. Relatively speaking given how long have had it. It is very very dry right now. I think I need to give this good water because it's starting to get that kind of very dull. Look that plants get when they are in need of some drinking and it's also quite like to pick up so I know that it is I plant and and this will be reported in the spring because I can see lots of routes coming through the bottom of the pulse. What I love about hoyle any are as well as suggests? The leaves are really unusual there about four centimeters long couple of inches long. I'd say and they look like run a beans or you don't call them Wanna beans in the. US been like a what you call runner beans in the US. I've forgotten green beans that look at me like green beans jeans and they're they're actually rolled in on themselves and you get a little grooved on the center and there were other softly. Furry they come out outs either side of the note and you get these long strings hanging down and they really do look very different from any other horror that you'll come across I guess stat. That adaptation is so that they can preserve water and this horrid doesn't like to be kept on the dry side we'll find with the stems on this one is that it does produce juice leave straight away unlike the con- Osa but it tends to grow stems until they get heavy enough to start trailing down so you end up with this effect. We've got kind of arms reaching up and then gradually they will drop down as the plant matures and they get long enough that they start to hang the flowers on this one. They tend to flower for me any way towards the end of the summer during autumn time and the flowers on this lovely scent which is comes into its own about seven o'clock in the evening this smell Eleni buttery mini smell really delicious and the flowers a really horrible. They are pure white and they tend to be visible among the clusters of leaves again. This is reason to have this plot hanging because it does look really great when viewed from below. I'm now this one in places like India and Nepal and it's not the easiest of course. I've never had any problems with it. But if you have a feeling that you and the person who gives the plant too much water you made strong with this one so just take care of the water inside and make sure it's really well drained but yeah. This is one of my absolute absolute favorites and would be without that particular one more talk about and that is where Matilda now. This is actually a hybrid. It's across between Serb hanes and we're con Osa and this one came to cutting. I can't remember who gave this to me. I think it was us on a UK. HOUSEPLANTS facebook group. But again if you are going to grow start off with and he wants in court easy to get going with I think Matilda Sabrina good choice. This plot has small roundish oval leaves with silver splashing on them. I mean it's hard degeneracy toys because the league shake dust change. I find that sometimes the leaf leaves can be quite elongated and then the ones quite oval and that changes us the leaf as a stem matures. This will hasn't flowered yet but I just love the look of it. It's it's actually desperately in need this. One of being trained around the hoops of I can really enjoy the foliage up close. The flight was on this. One looks very much like Canosa except the flowers are white and fuzzy rather than Pale pink and fuzzy according to winstrom unstained this flows early and often so on still waiting by flowers gonNA hoping that they will come fairly soon but even if it never flowered I think I would still be in love with this planet. Really really beautiful. I- propagated cutting of this using the hottest tub technique. Thanks to Sully Williams or for highlighting that brilliant technique for me. And it won't really well for this plant. The only thing is you end up with roots coming from every node. So what I would do. What is rooted is late on some compost and allow it to route? But it's really easy. Plant ICAGO wrong with this and apparently the scent is quite like Hokkaido. Sir I have never got any sense to all of my work so that's not very informative but I'm not worried about the scent. I think it is beautiful flowers. And that's quite enough for

But I don't want Google the know everywhere, I've been all they know. Anyway, believe me if you have Google maps on your phone, it's keeping track of your location. The nice thing apple does at least with the iphone is periodically. They'll say, hey, you know, Google maps has been tracking your location, even when it's not open you want to keep doing that. So they least give you a heads up to it at some point. You probably gave it permission and says, you know. Yeah. Because to use maps you need at least allow location formation maps as open the key is not allowing it when maps is close if you want privacy. I don't care Google knows where I am. Start at Google dot com slash maps and started create a new map and then import from Google photos. Now, you don't have your photos and Google photos yet. But the good news is that's easy to do there on your your phone now, right? Yes. So what you want to do is put the photos app on there. It's free and it has free unlimited storage, by the way, and then going to the settings of that make sure it's backing up to Google it'll take a little while on iphones. You have to keep the app open for tobacco on Android phones. That doesn't in the background, you know, by this afternoon this evening of most of those photos from the phone should be uploaded may not even take that long depending on your fast, wifi or not. And then you'll be able to go to my maps and. I guess I would I do Google photos making album of that site that you want a map of and then go to my maps and make them up. Yeah. Thank you very much. I solved the problem in real time. Thanks to you real time. I love it. I love it to. Thank you. Appreciate the call one of these. I like doing the show because I learn every show. Have to play with that a little bit. Now, there are people are going to say, well, okay. But I don't want Google the know everywhere I've been they know anyway. If you have Google maps on your phone. It's keeping track of your location. The nice thing apple does at least with the iphone is periodically. They'll say, hey, you know, Google maps has been tracking your location, even when it's not open you want to keep doing that. So they at least give you a heads up to it at some point. You probably gave it permission and said, you know. Yeah. Because to use maps you needed at least allow location information maps is open. The key is not allowing it when maps is close if you want privacy. I don't care Google knows where I am. And it is kind of handy. We haven't talked about it yet. But Google big developer conference starts on Tuesday. And it's expected that goule nounce a bunch of new stuff. We're not sure what one thing I'm pretty sure they're gonna do is announce a new less expensive pixel phone the pixel three eight. Very early name. Isn't it three point one eight two three a which will be a less expensive version of their sort of popular pixel three turns out pixel three sales all that good over the past year. But I think it's a great phone with a very nice camera. I certainly recommend it for Android lovers. Maybe they'll announce other things to those including we think perhaps a new Google assistant device with a screen and a camera, then they call it the home hub, maybe a new home hub. Maybe even I'm hoping new Android where watch Google hasn't made one in a long time. There's still lots of companies like fossil even Tag Heuer very fancy watch that make Android wear watches but Google for awhile just kind of Nord Android wear of late. They've added new features. They've started at polish it up a little bit, which makes the world thing. Maybe they're going to watch. I'll talk about it next week. There's also. On Monday Microsoft's developer conference, build kicks off. And they're going to have a big keynote. And I imagine they're going to have announcement. So this'll be a very busy week in tech last week was the week of quarterly results. That's more interesting to the stock market than it is to tech users this week could be the developer.

"The tech. Eighty eight asked Lee, let's go back to the phones. And it's Norman seamy valley, California. Hi, norm. They leo. How're you doing great? How are you doing pretty good? I want to say, thanks the great information. And you're welcome particular show is it needs more cowbell. Said I got my cowbell right here. Joey says who's Joey? Are your nephew? Oh, you work with Joey. No, I've known him for years on going to call you. Nice. We'll give him my regards will do. So so, hey, I'm a contractor, and I do some large area or large scale, and the best thing I can do to share that information with property managers as I work for is to GO take photos. So they can take a look over a map to use the CASA. But. Yeah. Google. I am really mad. They bought Picasso, which was a paid program. They start giving away. That's nice, and then they killed it. And they did not offer any reasonable replacement at all. You want some sort of program, you take pictures. Of course, if you're taking the pictures with the camera that has GPS built in most point and shoots do a lot of cameras. Do certainly your camera fight. Yeah. So that's got attached to the picture. It's got what we call exit. EXIF extended information that says the coordinates GPS coordinates, and and what because he used to import it with Picasso on your hard drive in different folders with dates and stuff, but it would also make a map, and it would put a pin on the map where all those photos were. That was a very nice feature. And you wanna do that still? Somewhere. I can't find any information on how to do that again with any other program. I don't know if you have any bitter information. You know, I'm I'm racking my brain. I've seen this many times. I feel like flicker might do that. If you up there are there are sites. That you can go to now do you use Google photos, which is the what Google says is the replacement for custody us that you have that on your phone. Don't. So. That might be the solution for you. Hookah photos because Google it's my memory that if you've got stuff and Google photos, you can show the locations of those photos on a map, let me just let me just try this because I upload everything to Google photos to me. It's almost my backup. Right. You Google photos on an iphone or Android phone, and you say upload every picture that I take and then that becomes the backup. So let me see if I can. Just enough to be dangerous me too. Create a new Google mind maps, I don't know how you do that. Let's see Google maps Google. This is getting. Conception, Google Google. My maps. So Google dot com slash mind, maps. Oh, this is I didn't even know about this. So here's the deal. Google dot com slash maps. You can take photos from photos dot, Google dot com and map them. And then you will have an online website with your maps. Can share that link? You can share that link. So that is kind of that is kind of I guess that basically is because this is the problem. They took a program that did a bunch of stuff, and then they took it apart. They sold off for scrap. But some of that scripted make it back to Google my maps, there's also a Android. Google my maps have I don't know if there's one for IOS, but you could also have that map on your phone and show it there too. So let me see him. Press. Let's see create new album share novel movie animation photo book seems like there should be an easy way. Just to take all these pictures, let selected bunch of pictures. I know they're all from Hawaii. And and then I have to figure out how to get them onto my maps. I haven't done this. So all the as an exercise for you. You can do it. And then let's keep the lines open. Everybody who has a solution. Maybe there's other software that will do this feels to me like a lot of software will do this. But I really available. I like the idea of having it on the web, right and and sharable as a website. So let me see I'm gonna go to Google maps create a new map. Okay. It's Atta layer. And then can I add photos to that layer import? Yeah. I guess I can't I can import photos into that layer. There you go photo albums from Google photos. So they're an important album into that. Okay. Select that album, and now I have a map of Hawaii with pins where all the pictures. I took are. Oh, that's cool. I just did it. Started Google dot com slash maps and started creating new map and then import from Google photos. Now, you don't have your photos and Google photos yet. I solved the problem in real time. Thanks to you real. I love it. I love it too. Thank you for call. It's one of these. I like doing this show because I learn every show I'll have to play with that a little bit. Now, there are people are going to say, well, okay. But I don't want Google everywhere. "So the shutdown continues. I mean, I feel bad having to just say all right shutdown continues. And there's nothing else. Just to say to it except things are getting interesting, the more, they the more. They change the more. They stay the same is, usually the expression. Ed morrissey. Writes at hot air. And now he's writing for the week week dot com. Surprised they let them why Trump's immigration compromise is a shrewd move. I think this is interesting. Somebody giving Donald Trump credit now Ed Morrissey is a is a very very good guy. He's longtime writer and podcast. He has a book going red, which is all about how there are five counties in the country five counties if you can win those five counties Republicans can win every presidential election going forward. Was that for frightening. An amazing and all that. And he writes about President Trump in the art of the deal. He says the worst thing you could possibly do in a deal is seem desperate to make it. Be true. I've often said the only thing worse than no deal is a bad deal. And I believe that's right. And part of the reason people make a bad deal is because they're desperate to make a deal. But when you take a look at the president's offer that happened over the weekend. The Democrats said no to before before any conversation happened. A three year extension on DACA and extensions t what's TPS or temporary protected status, which is about classifications of refugees. There's there's a lot here that the president said, hey, I'm willing. Let's do it. Let's try something. Three year extension on DACA would protect the recipients until twenty twenty two. I'm not a fan of of Dhaka. But I understand that he had all the right in the world via executive order to drop it. And now he's pushing it back out there as a. As a bargaining chip. He's not allowed to use bargains reports he is. But let's not be ridiculous. This deal. This entire deal was not even talked about the voting that they're getting into today doesn't seem to have anybody willing to really cross to an extent where we can get something moving. The question that Ed Morris. He's asking me as weight if the if the if the rules say. The worst thing you possibly do. A deal is to seem desperate to make it. Why was it President Trump who put forth? A deal. Why was it President Trump who why was it him who to make the first move? Ed morrissey. Ryan Trump needs to come out of this with a win even means having to roll back some of his leverage. What are we always talk about first rule of Trumpism Trump wins? It's the first rule. Everybody is finally catching onto this. Democrats have a unique opportunity to get I'd say a fair bunch to do it. They have to give Donald Trump what he perceives as a win. Now for the base that only and solely means. Borders. What it means? It means borders. It means physical barriers without that Trump has nothing. He can hang his hat on. Democrats are desperate not to give him that. Because they think that's twenty twenty. That's where they are what they're relying on is this polling. We were talking about the morning consult a couple of others that show the president a forty percent approval rating, and it's all because of the shutdown because sixty percents or whatever the number is oppose. You know, or think that Trump deserves a great deal of responsibility for the shutdown? Well, add the longer goes on the more the pressure builds. But it's interesting that we're already seeing people out there writing about wait a second Democrats dismissed the software from Trump. Did they do the right thing here? I mean, take a look. And what's happening? You've got Steny Hoyer. We've actually shared this audio before. He's the house majority whip saying that physical barriers are part of the solution. I think physical barriers are part of the solution. Nancy, Pelosi's view that a wall is immoral. You. A wallet shoes for whether it's moral or immoral. Well, in this case, it's used to make sure that people go through legal ports of entry. So therefore, it must be moral. You have. I'm sorry. I call them the house majority whip Heuer's the house majority leader James Clyburn is the house majority whip my apologies. He's offered to give Trump the five point seven billion here Quested for more border security as long as it's not spent on a wall, quote, if his five point seven billions about border security, then we see ourselves fulfilling that request only doing doing it with what I like to call using a smart wall. Now, we all know that the smart wall idea as Byron York writes about over there at the Washington Examiner. They don't even want really this attack. You know, they might say they want this technological wall. But it's not gonna work. A smart wall is about observing not about doing we can track. We can scan people surveilled people you have to actually physically move people or forced different ways for them to try and get into the country. So they've already said that walls aren't immoral. They've already said we'll give them five point seven billion. We don't wanna for a wall. For as much as Donald Trump wants to win. Democrats are stuck on not giving it to him. They are stuck in this. So this whole idea of polling putting pressure on Donald Trump. Got a pressure.

I'm sure the president aids watch, you know, when Steny Hoyer resign any leaders, I saw that. And so they look at they say when you think about it that is the first crack when you think about the last month, Steny Hoyer sane. That a walls not immoral unless it's a prison completely rejects what the speaker. Has said he's house majority leader and then on the so the the immorality and then Iraq going around saying, it's, you know, a racist response to a racist myth. Steny Hoyer rejects that also. Yeah. That's the first crack that you've seen in the Democrats over the last month. The biggest crack right now. I think it's really the only crack you've seen right? Well, here's here's the thing. Is that he wouldn't have to go as far as to say? No, it's not. And and no, it's not immoral. No. It's not racist. And this is perfectly is wrong. He could say easily. Look, I'm not gonna speak for other people. Right. Other people have said other things what I'm going to tell you is. We don't need a wall. And we're not gonna find a wall. He could have easily said that and gotten away with any. Did he didn't? And there's a reason now I will say this I and you and I look at the video to me. He did come across a lot stirred from simple critical thinking questions that. Well, maybe nobody ever asks them those critical thinking questions, so when they do they're shocked by it. Remember when Obama where was he when when Obama was on FOX, and they were just live it on with Chris Wallace with Chris Wallace. They were livid because Chris Wallace ask follow up questions. And they publicly stated we didn't expect follow up questions. How dare you ask him questions? And, you know, standing Heuer's been around long enough to know that if you're on Fox News, especially if you're on with their you're going to get you're going to get some of that, right? And so, you know, if you're ill prepared than you're ill prepared, right? And then he clearly was still prepared. So I don't know where they go from here. I actually don't know if this is just a fumble by Steny Hoyer. But it's hard to believe because he was fairly even though he was flustered. He was deliberate in his answers. You know, I could say that if he was flustered and would've have said, well, I don't know. I, you know, I don't know what other people said, you know, that would be different. But he was deliberate in his as well. The interesting thing is did you see how he was interjecting. He would go after Trump, and then say something that was going after he, you know, Aurora or or Pelosi, right? And then go back to going after Trump again, he was like going back and forth worth you weren't paying attention. You say he's talking about the same people. No, he went he was going after Trump. Now, he's going after Pelosi here now back to Trump now after war many was going back, and it was almost as if.

"This hour for Freightliner run smart, helping you run more efficiently as Freightliner's number one goal. You know, you, and I were and we have harped on this over the last couple of weeks. And that's in in any debate that you're trying to win. You've got to be consistent and coherent on the message. And we believe one of the things that's most frustrating to us. And we repeated this over and over again, but it's a very important thing to repeat over and over again when the opposition keeps repeating the same things over and over and over and over again, but we believe that it's never been easier to defend conservative principles. It's never been easier to defend border security. Right. You can do it. You can you can slowly chip away. If you are blunt, and you ask the critical thinking questions and demand an answer. I want to give an example here because this is Steny Hoyer yesterday, and this is stunning. Heuer on with an I don't don't have time to play the entire interview. But we're gonna just play part of it here when he's on with Bret Baier. Simply ask them the questions. He plays the quotes. He played the quote of of of dancy Pelosi. Remember steady Heuer's second. Beneath her and under Nancy Pelosi, and she talked about it being a moral, and he said, no, it's not immoral. That a that a border wall is not immoral. Well, unless you as somebody in the media. Plays the audio cut and directly ask someone as he did here. They don't have to answer the question. I wanna play a couple of the questions that he had to answer. When Bret Baier simply said here is what people are are stating in your particular party. But I want to get to the last part of it where he addresses Awal being a moral and a wall was immoral. If it keeps people out only if it keeps people in all as far as I know. Nobody is suggesting the wall is there to keep people in the United States. I don't believe that Donald Trump has put the wall up. So the Hollywood elite don't leave the country. Here. Here's part of this conversation from yesterday. An.

"For everyone including those living in a delusional world read. Radio and he's Eric Harley. I'm Gary McNamara. Thanks to John in Arkansas for reminding us that in nineteen thirty nine Roosevelt served the Queen of England hotdogs. Everybody loves a hot dog. It's an American. That's an American classic. If thank you. Trump didn't serve hot dogs. What was missing too hot dogs? Yeah. What about onion rings nachos? I'm thinking of like what you would buy the game, right? Setup a concession stand. Snow cones. Couple of stories out there. House majority leader Steny Hoyer, the democrat from Maryland, Maryland, acknowledged on Wednesday on Fox News special report with Bret Bret Baier that border walls, obviously work in some areas. And he rejected suggestion that barriers should be removed from where they already exist. The number two House Democrat additionally asserted that the question. Of whether to fund President Trump's proposed border wall. A dispute at the center of the unprecedented. Partial government shutdown is quote, not an issue of morality end of quote. This Gregory at Fox News. Heuer's comments were seemingly at odds with seemingly with the positions of other House Democrats in he doesn't put this in there. But I will including Nancy Pelosi who argued that border walls, like the one Trump is proposing are ineffective and immoral. Yeah. All right. I it's which is interesting coming from him. So then you combine that with the, you know, the story in the times that said, you know, people need to an Nancy needs to quit saying it's immoral because the rank and file Democrats don't agree near the New York Times story last week that that was the first hand to the mainstream media that. That many Democrats want her to shut up about that. Right. And so was this kind of in in support of that story in that idea? Almost like a Claire mccaskill move those crazy Democrats. I don't believe it's immoral like, those crazy Democrats. But I mean could that be the effort here to go out and say, well, it's not immoral. And have him do it. Now. The other thing is Steny Hoyer said that the Democrats are willing to compromise where with the president. The compromise. That reaction was Meyer reaction to there. There. Compromise means reopened the government. And and we'll we'll give you the Bill. We passed that has one point three billion. We'll give you one point three billion. I hear it as well. We're prepared to do that referring to reach a deal with the Trump administration. I think there can be a compromise position. There are all sorts of alternatives that we could pursue. I think to come up with a consensus solution to achieve the objective that I think we all want to achieve and that is a secure and safe border for our country. And for our citizens. Heuer stress at Democrats have supported substantial restraints, including fencing and other technologies. Not now. No in the past. Yes. Now, they're not obviously, they work in some places. They've made it clear not one dime. No doesn't matter. Whether it's a fence doesn't matter whether you call it a fence or wall nothing for Trump when it comes to anything. That is a barrier of any of any sort. Right. I mean, that's it. There's one point three billion that's their compromise. And and that's what the speaker saying. So unless she changes her mind, which ain't going to happen. I mean, he's wrong. I still think that whether it's just interview or whatever you have to go back to the point. Because remember as as we have stated that this is the reality of it. This isn't this isn't a debate on Waller, not a wall. It's a debate of people that want border security, and those who do not and was Steny Hoyer because I think you're going to hear this now because even what they have said even some of the things they've said, so far they realized aren't probably polling. Good Nancy Pelosi saying that a wall is you know, is immoral and Democrats saying you gotta as an air times. Article said, you gotta shut up. Well, they didn't say this. But. We we we can't we can't be talking about things like that. We need to talk just about the shutdown and how people are harm because they believe that. They can't win the argument while now, you know, Steny Hoyer coming out and stating that they they are for substantial restraints the question would be how what is your goal is. You're going to reduce is your goal to ensure that illegal immigrants do not enter this country and stay in this country. Because if that's the case if you claim your for border security, this these are the questions that need to be asked, by the way by the conservative media, right? How can you be the party for sanctuary cities? If your opinion as a party is once you cross the border, you get to stay. Then how can you not be for open borders? If you believe that once you cross the border. Do you understand you understand the impression you're giving the American public you say, no more barriers, right? But once you cross you get to stay. That's our opinion, we won't cooperate with the federal government. If you're a criminal illegal immigrant. We will not cooperate with the government until it might get to a certain particular point. Right. If you an illegal immigrant, we wish to give you free health care, you get health care free paid for by the taxpayer of of the United States, you can get welfare benefits that is our goal to make ensure that all in every state that all illegal immigrants get welfare at the same point. How can you hold that position? And not be for open borders. How how do you reconcile that in your head? And that question as far as I know has not been addressed to any democrat leader right now. No. And if they can't answer that question, then you accuse them of bean for open, borders and chaos. And it's you know, it is. The simplest debate. You can have. Because they keep handing you everything you need. You know, you and I talked about this. I I feel. I feel like I'm in a state of, you know, redundancy, keep repeating the same thing over again. But the Democrats keep repeating the same thing over again and the only defense, and we're not the only argument back is the same argument that we hold and so they make the same argument every day, which means we've got to go with the argument that defeats there's every day. And so sorry, if it sounds redundant at times you guys keep repeating yourself. Yeah. Because they do and they keep getting away with that. Nobody else is calling him on it. No. I mean, other conservative media. But it really you're not hearing the people that are actually part of the so-called debate. You're not hearing anything from them. Nothing. They mentioned last week in an interview democratic Texas Representative of Veronica Escobar told CNN that we know walls, don't work. Now, you've got the second in command right beneath Nancy Pelosi, the walls do work. And they're not in more. Well. That's interesting. We have some infighting now within the democrat leadership. Well, you know, it goes along with that AP story that we had coming out of the weekend. I think it was on the Monday morning show where they were talking about the president. And what his tactic might be now. And you know, and according to their version of the store, he was going to appeal to freshman Democrats in the house, which I don't know why he would do that. But rank and file Democrats as well. And we thought okay, that's that's certainly a reasonable tactic. I there's no reason to believe that he reached out to Steny Hoyer. That is that's why anything that the president is doing. So this is coming from within. This is coming from within. Well, that's probably brought up the New York Times story last week saying, look, they know it, right? The New York Times understands that this is going on inside of their party that they're saying because we have said this all along. We don't believe if you're a democrat voter, we don't believe that all democrat voters agree with with where their party has been going are accusation got an Email yesterday. I'm not for open borders. How come you keep saying Democrats, we had been specific we have said the party the party, not the not necessarily all the voters. The party has become the party of open borders, and we have stated that that's what the Republicans should use in order to put them in a defensive mode. So you get a reaction like Steny Hoyer. That's the whole purpose the whole purpose then. And then when he says, okay, walls, do work within y you against for Trump. And why are you percents worry cities once they open themselves up and claim that they're not for open borders and Steny Hoyer sane as you said yesterday that walls do work or not immoral then you go straight to sanctuary cities. Well, wait a minute. How can you say that when your party is the party that believes that once you cross the border, you should be able to stay and live in this country and get healthcare benefits? I mean, and and and and get welfare and be able to vote in local elections. Do you believe that do you agree with your part you separate one from another right? Divide and conquer the Vining cocker. And there has to be a strategy and the Republican party. About how to debate. I had I had a gentleman right to me yesterday. And and and say that the problem isn't, you know, that most Americans a understand exactly where the Democrats stand for open borders, and I went, oh, they know now, they don't know they don't, and I said, the majority of Americans don't know that we have what the three branches of government are the majority of Americans in polls don't know what the freedoms of the first amendment are as we said on yesterday show. I can't tell you why I'd have to look at each individual instance of every of the hunt hundreds of millions of people in America that walk around every day without any clue. So the point is from the Republican party to teach to market to promote to debate. And you hit on the actual issue. And the issue is I'm for border security. They're not there are a variety of things, we need more walling. You can call it fencing you can call a triple fencing. You can call it a wall you can call it a slap. You can call it. A you know, that's one of the things you're on a barrier. More more border more more customs agents more judges to accelerate deportation. So that that that incentive is not there. We'll look once we get there. They let us go, and we can stay for as long as we want. No. Then a man mandate e verify had the federal government and call out any one of your congress men or any one of your local mayors or city councils that believe in sanctuary. Cities that we will not cooperate with federal law, and then at the same time advocate legal immigration, as the president has already done as he did with Jim Acosta during that great debate that you pointed out nobody ever talked about that nobody talked about what the president said because the cost and tried to label all illegal immigrants with legal immigrants on the president called him on it. And it was a great moment. Because we said finally right now keep it up. Do it every day. Well, we don't get it. Every day we get at once in a while from a few people in the Republican party media will bring it up one day and the conservative media, and then drop it, and it's like, no you've got to be consistent. And you've got to pound it every single day, look and and. To the one gentleman who wrote me yesterday and said, well, it's not marketing, why do you think you see the same commercials all the time? We all basically know what the products are out there yet people still run commercials to all be Patty special sauce, lettuce cheese, pickles, onions on sesame seed bun. I don't believe that runs anymore. But it just shows the point it's the repetition. It's it's it's the repetition you it's the repetition in anything in life. When you want? Well, we'll we'll get to more of this coming up here. Just got break. Just so much to talk about your calls and comments coming up to eight six six ninety redeye. Be.

"Freightliner run smart, helping you run more efficiently as Freightliner's number one goal. Yes. So again, as we all know, the the president. I'm sure the president aids watch, you know, when Steny Hoyer Zannini leaders, I saw that. And so they look at it. And they say when you think about it that is the first crack when you think about the last month, Steny Hoyer sane. The walls, not a more or less. It's a prison completely rejects what the speaker. Has said he's house majority leader and then on the so the the immorality, and then a rock going around saying, it's, you know, a racist response to a racist myth. Steny Hoyer rejects that also. Yeah. That's the first crack that you've seen in the Democrats over the last month that our biggest crack, right, man. I think it's really the only crack you've seen right? Well, here's here's the thing. Is that he wouldn't have to go as far as to say? No, it's not. And and no, it's not immoral. No. It's not racist. And this is wrong. He could say easily. Look, I'm not going to speak for other people. Right. Other people have said other things what I'm going to tell you is. We don't need a wall. And we're not gonna fund a wall. He could have easily said that and gotten away with any. Did he did? I will say this. I and you and I looking at the video to me he did come across luster from simple critical thinking questions that. Well, maybe nobody ever asked some those critical thinking questions. So when they do they're shocked by it. Remember when Obama where was he when when Obama was on FOX, and they were just. Yeah. Live it on with Chris Wallace. Chris wallace. They were limited because Chris Wallace as follow of questions, and they publicly stated we didn't expect follow up questions under you ask a follow. And, you know, standing Heuer's been around long enough to know that if you're on Fox News, especially if you're on with you're going to get you're going to get some of that, right? And so, you know, if you're ill prepared than you're ill prepared, right? And then he clearly was ill prepared. So I don't know where they go from here. I actually don't know if this is just a fumble by Steny Hoyer. But it's hard to believe because he was fairly even though he was flustered. He was deliberate in his answers. You know, I could say that if he was flustered. And what said, well, I don't know. I'd I don't know what other people said. You know? That would be different. But he was deliberate in his aim out. The interesting thing is you just see how he was interjecting. He would go after Trump, and then say something that was going after he, you know, Aurora or or Pelosi, right? And then go back to going after Trump again, he was like going back and forth where if you weren't paying attention. As he talking about the same people. Well, no, he went he was going after Trump are now he's going after Pelosi here now back to Trump now after rewards many was going back, and it was almost as his mind was working so quick saying with I'm.

When you ever would accuse the president this president of dog whistles of subtle hints that things I think he just kind of blurts out whatever he's thinking, he's not subtle. You're right. But she can't be vice president either, I guess 'cause qualified to be president. I think so I don't know, but she'll be Senator in two years. And then she'll be definitely president six or seven years eight years ago, should definitely be there. You would have laughed about Obama being president. No. But this wack job. "Where kind of ends up. But yeah, I think that this was kind of people are waiting for it. They were kind of expecting it. And saying, okay. Finally, we see the human side of apple. And there's also a moment of you know, what people have bought with they're going to buy. And I say this all the time. And I'm always a little surprised by how maybe not like people really do want the new shiny thing. And so they're they're willing to buy because each. It's a place where you can show status. So give you an example. He never lived in Los Angeles. I lived in Los Angeles. Sixers. Your status is not your house. Status is your car. There is no more car crazed culture in Los Angeles, California. First traffic is so horrendous that you're in your car often and often for hours at a time. Now, I've lived in DC and I've lived in Los Angeles. I'm much happier in the midwest. Gosh, it's real it's really unbelievable. DC traffic is is worse than LA traffic because it never snowed in Los Angeles. But snows in DC and everything comes to an end. I was in Atlanta during the during the Christmas break there, and that traffic's just those people should real. I don't know how they I don't know. How people do downtown Atlanta is a mind scramble of a thing. Anyway, that's that's not the point. I make. Housing is so strange in LA for where you have to live for work and things like that that you can't often tell by the house and the house prices are so absolutely crazed inflated. Anyway, so status is car. And I knew plenty of people and heard plenty of stories of people who drove Mercedes and lived in the Mercedes. Oh actors everything else they wanted to show that level of success. The phone. I love watches. Oh, gosh. Do I love watches which is weird because I don't wear one. And one of the reasons I don't wear one is that unless I can buy what it is that I want. I'm not I'm not doing it. I'm not there there are there are no Casio's on my wrist. Just not the way that that it that it's working. Well, Tony, what are you interested? In paddock Felipe. Go ahead. This is just just look it up. Yeah. I w c. The the Tag Heuer, Monaco. That's probably the least expensive of the things that I'm interested in. I'm sorry. Are you? Okay. All right. All right. All right with the paddock fully, this is a million dollar not million dollar ones. More like, the twenty five thousand dollars or more things. I'm interested in still tells W C, and I don't I don't like moon phase or anything else. I like very simple face to to a watch Corum has a couple of absolutely exquisite timepieces, very very unique and fun, right? That is a status symbol for. Sure. One hundred percent but made people can't afford that. You see a watch on here. The only watch I own is from Rocky Mountain. It's the second amendment watch. And it's the Tony cats edition. I actually have my own edition watch. I I should bring. I should I should take some photos of that one dad's. It's very very cool. Phone status. Everybody has.
