"Alright just couple of stats here. Derrick henry twelve catches and three games. His career highs nineteen so p. p. r. machine derrick. Henry and calvin really has gone three straight games with fifty one to sixty three yards and he had a similar stretch last year but he left. One of those games hurt. So i would say this is worse than anything we saw last year and they do not throw. They are the most conservative team. It is incredible to watch the falcons. They were horrendous today and still came away with a win. When you say conservative you mean they ran the ball lot or Just nothing downfield the nothing. I noticed that last week especially zone defenses. There matt ryan is very happy to check it down. If it's first and ten and they're leaving the middle of the field open he'll get you five yards of its third and nine will take the five yards and then they'll punt yet they still don't have a forty yard pass. Play in in three games now. And that's you know just not what we're used to. Seeing from was their longest their longest play today was twenty yards. Had a twenty two. Patterson that was a short pass. Calvin really twenty cockpits twenty five on the last drive so and it's just amazing to see and i wasn't going to include him in that previous one with he's not the stuff wide receiver. But that's because. I thought you know we'll spend time on it here but yeah is is kevin really worse than the andre hopkins. Who would you rather have hopkins. I think i might side with ridley. Because i think the target volume those have a room to be to be good. I mean i'd rather have devante adams who scored the united. Don't don't but i think i think i look at ridley. I i'm gonna. I think really needs to be examined a little bit and all right. Yeah one more on this. This is this is this weird stats discussion sure..

"People on twitter saying that they were you know any any any extension like this is a bad move For running back. And i just think that the teams in this scenario what they're going does bury it. She's not that much money thing. Twelve point two average. He'll rank fifth at the position. Guarantees six that the average per year. And i am he. He's the best running back in the league. This is great. It's just it's pretty cheap. I don't even. I mean i agree with everything that you said but honestly my reaction to it was like. That's kind of a steel. So here here. Are the top paid running backs in the nfl. Christian mccaffrey sixteen zeke at fifteen tomorrow. Fifteen cook twelve henry. Twelve so the cook henry. Chubb class seems right. Joe mixon as twelve as well so it seems to me. Mccaffrey is is different. Because i i paid to basically be receiver. Yes he's being paid to be an offensive weapon as he like to say And then zeke just one in negotiation with jerry jones. Congratulations to zeke elliott He deserves all the money. You get from jerry jones. And then kamara. Who's who's with mccaffrey. And that's again different so it looks to me like the twelve million dollar market rate for for a an elite running back seems right and i think in the modern nfl that that. That's fine to me. And i would pay twelve dollars nick. Many times over. I too would give nick shop. Twelve million dollars All right your number. Two zach wilson and the jets really matter. I read work to sign mr camp practice. They had you know a little. Kerfuffle over offset language which is standard stuff. They put it in very few teams. Don't require it it's fine. This isn't a big deal. It probably doesn't matter at all. However i just need the jets as they're rebuilding with what i would say. Looks like a really solid infrastructure nucleus management to build around build with to run that organization. I just need them to not make me nervous. You know what. I i need fewer things where my reaction is. Why is it always the jets. I do do you think. I'm ridiculously off base here. It's just because this is basically a non event. It's just that. Every time i read about it i went to god. Why why so. There's a lot to unpack here. Number one is that they ended up not matter. You're correct and he only missed a couple of days. Couple wraps He flew from la mitchell. Schwartz the great offensive. Lineman was actually in my mentioned the other day. Because i made a joke about how if you could take. La to new york red eye and still practice after that which he did that. That's incredible because i've taken that. La to new york right. I am not ready to do anything alone. Nfl l. practice and mitchell actually said he should have been in the area and that was probably negotiating tactic them away. And you know. I'm not. I'm not ready to be there. But he probably should have been there just to to have to get some extra time and anyway I think it's not important but it's not nothing just just to be clear here. Training camp practices are not like defcon. One for working quarterback it's not a it's not an absolute nothing to skip a few of them right and so i'm not. I don't think it's a top five sort of big deal I think. Zack wilson is going to be really good quarterback and i think that mrs thing that i've i've talked about as jets podcast couple weeks. I mentioned on this podcast. But the measurement of wilson because that team has so much work to do It's not gonna be obvious is not going to be stats. It's gonna be you know. Roberts alabama culture that young core taking a step forward and so i think i agree All the help you can get for. Zach wilson is is important I'm i'm not too bothered. I mean it's not even august. This is not a obosa situation. This is not a i remember. The first time ever covered ted ginn was holding out and he showed up by catholic through training camp It's not one of those situations. I'm i rolling my eyes at the jets. But i think it's okay all right. Thank you for calling my jets anxiety. I just don't want. I just don't think i i think if you're a jets fan. You're fine he's in he's in camp. I mean just imagine if you picked up a turf toe and missed..

"As we begin. Catherine jacob will bring us a reading from the bible reading from the gospel of saint mark chapter thirteen versus twenty eight through thirty seven from the victory learned. Its lesson as soon as this branches become tender and puts forth its leaves you know that summer is near so also when you see these things taking place no that he is near at the very gates. Truly tell you this generation will not pass away until these things have taken place heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away but about that day or hour. No one knows neither the angels in heaven nor the son but only the father. Beware keep alert for you. Do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey when he leaves home and puts his saves in charge each with his work and commands the doorkeeper to be on the watch therefore keep awake for. You do not know when the master of the house will come in the evening or at midnight or at cop croak or at done or else he may find you asleep when he comes suddenly. And what i say to you. I say to all keep awake. This is the word of the lord. Thanks be to god inscribed on a case in just a federal england is a poem time's paces attributed to henry twelve it rates. When is it child. I loft and whipped. Time crept when as a youth. I waxed more. Bold time strolled. When i became a full grown man time ran when older still i daily grew time flew should i shall find in passing on time gone. We do everything we can to deny the passing of time. We pay attention to the skillful marketing. Your products that can supposedly delay the ravages at the passing of years. That said time is really a topic of conversation. Come with me to. Jesus sobering words in mark chapter thirteen versus twenty four through twenty seven. In those days after that suffering the sun will be dachshund and the moon will not give it light and the stars will be falling from heaven and the powers and the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory. There are times when significant events occurred that can impact the course of history. We saw this with the fall of the berlin wall back in november nine thousand nine hundred nine and with the destruction of the twin towers in new york on september eleven. Two thousand one. The fall of the berlin wall was greeted with joy attack on the twin towers lit afia and anger in mark chapter thirteen. Jesus doesn't beat about. The bush can send a realities about troubled world. He speaks of suffering and using metaphors. He predicts global catastrophic events including pandemics in this context. He wants us of a day of his coming his expression. The son of man takes out the prophecy of daniel. Some five or six hundred years before the daniel chapter seven speaks of the son of man coming in dominion and glory and that all people's names languages will be brought under his rule consider for a moment splendor and pageantry of royal occasions on earth such as a coronation and then multiply the seen a million times and then a million times more. We might then begin to imagine the dazzling glory and the awesome power of the return of god's king. the idea of the end of time is totally missed. These days the idea is laughable. Catastrophic events impacting. The world is a theme that books and films play with but such events never made an end of time. Some movies such as two thousand twelve on the road portray humanity coming to the rescue in the aftermath of any global catastrophe. Opinion-makers today tell us that there will always be survivors to carry on and chart the human destiny the picture that jesus portrays a world catastrophically consumed by file. And here's appearing across the skies for all to see is simply the rider yet. He is clear a point in time and the beginning of a totally new age. One whether we know crying all morning with death itself will have passed away. What we forget. These days is the person who speaks so clearly and firmly about these matters if the prophecies made by people such as iron ezekiel centuries before jesus was born came true if jesus very specific predictions about his death and resurrection also came true. Is it not conceivable. That his further prediction about his return when also the fulfilled in mark chapter thirteen verses. Twenty eight through thirty eight uses the analogy of the fig tree just as the sprouting leaves of the tree. Indicate that summer is nia so do catastrophic events. Indicate that coming of god's new age. When will this happen style. Watches can't help us with an answer. And jesus tells us not even he knew however uses shore of this. There will be an end time when he will return. Indeed he tells us that despite calamitous cosmic events his words on not pass away why is it that we so easily put aside. Our bibles is the too busy. Is it a lack of faith. Jesus was right in his predictions about the destruction of the temple and the fall of jerusalem. We can be sure he is correct about the future and his coming. We would be foolish not to pay careful attention to him. Perhaps above all we forget that is a fearful thing to come near the living god. Giving the law of moses caused people tremble with fear as they stood at the foot of mount sinai is vision of the lord in the temple caused him to cry out. Whoa is me significantly. In two. Corinthians chapter five paul the apostle writes knowing the fear of the lord way persuade others. So how should we now live..

"I've been doing some deep dive stuff for subscribers. In addition to the general stuff the second link is to this. George Department Public Health website. The third one is to the Johns Hopkins University Medical Dashboard. Globally Here's where we are. These numbers will update at noon today and then again at seven PM This number was updated at seven pm last night. We got a thousand ninety seven cases in Georgia. Three hundred sixty one of them hospitalized. Thirty eight of them dead that puts the mortality rate at three point. Four percent which is actually in line with the global average right now but not a lot of cases is fifty seven percent of cases are under the age of sixty. Now here is where we have. The the viral spread county by county a hundred ninety one in Fulton one hundred seven two cab one hundred one and Dorothy Ninety in Cobb seventy-six and borrow forty six thirty in Cherokee Twenty six twenty four and twenty one in Clayton Seventeen and Clark Sixteen Hall Thirteen and Henry Twelve Douglas. Twelve and fe at twelve and floyd eleven in Lowndes. Ten in Coweta ten in Richmond. Eight and foresight eighteen Gordon. Eight and poke eight and Rockdale seven and Chatham which is just gone on lockdown by the way Six in Columbia six and Lawrence six in Newton six and polling six and troop five and early Glenn. Halston OCONEE and spalding four in Bill Mitchell. Muskogee picking some to tift and worth three in Baker Crisp effingham Lamar Lumpkin Monroe Peach. Terro Baldwin Borough Brian Butts coffee seminal Stevens in Whitfield and then one in each of these counties Ben Hill Burke Camden Katiba Charleston. Two to clinch colquitt Dawson fanning. Green Harris Heard Irwin. Jasper Liberty Lincoln Macon Madison meriwether Miller Morgan Pierce Pulaski Randolph Tattletale Fair Turner Twigs Walton. In Washington. There are seventy nine whose residents are unknown I keep waiting for Tala for county and the reason I keep waiting for taller. County is for those. You don't know where it is One it's just proof that I know how to pronounce the name but to there's actually a story there. I dated a girl when I was in college. I did a girl from from Taller for county and I made the mistake of calling at Taliaferro and I never thought I would ever live it down So I keep waiting in the reason I keep waiting for tall effort to show up is because it had been one of those counties surrounded by counties that had well now Green County has the viruses. One case in Greene County Greene County is Lake Oconee Greensboro that area and Taller for county is one county over and it is surrounded on all sides by counties without the virus Except now bordering Greene County. The other one I'm interested in is Warren County Warrenton Because that too in Warrenton just so you know Warrant in his has I twenty running through it. It touches no counties that have the virus. And so I've been watching these to get a sense of the spread in the same way. What do you do about these counties when there really isn't an impact there or for example? What do you do with Hancock County? Hancock state prisons there. You got. Sparta is there Do why put that whole place? Down on lockdown. Why put straws barbecue on lockdown in Sparta or the ACE hardware? Downtown Sparta Win. There are no cases in the county. And that's what the governor's dealing with. That was part of our interview yesterday when I talked to him is. He doesn't want to shut down the whole state. He wants to let individual counties decide for themselves because there are some counties where the virus has not spread. If it does spread it'll be just a couple of people So why punish those counties economically Particularly because most of them are rural counties already On Difficult Times. So why do that to them and I think it makes sense? Take Montgomery County for example Montgomery County is in south Georgia Mount Vernon his down there. It is Four perspective at south of I sixteen Knicks County over is ideally has Vijayan at Tombs County Vijaya And Montgomery County is surrounded by counties that are also virus free. Its role doesn't have a lot of Major industry down there. Brewton-parker colleges down there But why punish Montgomery County Enforce it to completely shut down when it has no cases. That's what the the governor is concerned with now. Let me go to the phones here. Because Jason's got a relevant question Jason from Newnan. Welcome to the program. How You Doing Eric? I appreciate everything you do for us. Thank you I got a question. I I missed the interview with the governor yesterday and the Michael Kamikazes listening to and he said that there was a comment. May that the governor feels like there was an I could be wrong on this but he felt. The governor said that he has reason to believe that the virus came in our area. Rapid December January was is that what was stated or not. I say there's increasing suspicion that it was probably spreading in the Atlanta area in December and January. Okay that's what I had heard because I I had my dad had Got Sick back about that time. And he was and he kept. He passed away for a you know but he about that time he was telling us that. Don't come around us he's out. I've got something that I don't know what I've got now. He had underlying heart issues too. You know so he was in. He kept his. Don't come visit me. I'll call you on the phone this that and the other and I was on that and then I can only speculate of course because it was out there you know nothing was known about it but I was just curious if that's what was saying because I was GonNa say if there's any Definite evidence on how how he came across that. Because I'm just so heart chasing the theory behind it which I'm kind of intrigued by it in Georgia was one of the first states. I think to do this. They went back through all of the negative flu tests from December January And what they found I am told reliably. I can't get anybody on the record on this and I'm trying But I am told reliably that they decided when the started spreading that they could use the flu as a proxy because so many people are getting flu like symptoms and they don't have the flu and they saw spike in flu report so they decided well. Why don't we go back and see about the spike in flu reports and so you go back to December and you start towards the end of December and into January As this virus spreading people are coming here from from China and South Korean Italy on direct flights They're getting into the population. What we're seeing is that there was a spike in in people with flu like symptoms who tested negative for the flu at towards the after Christmas into January. And so then I'm no go ahead. Go ahead I'm sorry. That's exactly the timing because we were at that hospital great but we were down there and it was packed. Just packed down there and And we were going through 'cause they were giving us mask out and then I mean everybody's sitting in the man the with mass how they gotta go ahead of the game. I've been into me. I've been in many hospitals Through time you know I'm I'm a minister. Saw Go visit people lot. Who but I've never been in hospital. I used to tell. My buddies never sat in emergency room full of people mask on and they were doing that back in December January so I was just curious if that was what was said because I mean it it. It's not a bad thought. I just wonder if there's any documentation so around. Yeah absolutely Jason. Thanks very much for the call so so that that's the thinking. In by the way this is this is educated speculation there. They can't prove it. And once you've had the virus she can't go back through and test people once the virus is out of someone's system you you the the. Cova nineteen tests returns a negative result. You gotTa have it. And we weren't testing people until March and we are testing people now and I mean in Coweta County Jason from Newnan. They're only ten cases there But the cases have exploded full tanning. Now there's an upside here that some of you are already jumping to the upside. Is that if it's since the in December into January and February in Georgia. The mortality rate is probably a lot less now. Jason's father passed away. Dr Foul Chee who everyone respects and everyone is a straight shooter. Dr Foul Ci says he thinks the virus is more common than we realize that most of the cases are mild and that The mortality rate is probably one percent so in Georgia right now in in globally the mortality rate right now globally is throw right over three percent in Georgia. Right now is matching that you take into account New York City in a New York. Based on the diagnosed cases the mortality rate is one percent. Let me let me run. The numbers real quick here On the fly here so globally there are nineteen thousand six hundred seventy five deaths so far there are four hundred thirty eight thousand seven hundred forty nine confirmed cases that is a four point five percent mortality rate. You take out Chinese data it reduces to it actually shoots it up to about five percent if I'm honest with you But when you start looking at just western European nations you take out some of the Third World Country Data and you look at the Western nations. The mortality rate goes to about three percent. And if Dr Couches right that this is more widely spread in less understood unless tested It would reduce the mortality to about one percent. That's not bad now. The problem though is in for a lot of people out there thinking hey. Why don't we just treat this season for the one? I'm realizing from talking to friends of mine in an E. Probably you may need to be disabused of the notion yourself and I don't mean this insultingly disparagingly but a lot of people are talking about this is this is just the flu. There compared H. One in one h one in one was the flu. Pandemic during the Obama Administration that swept through and it had a mortality rate. Just like the flu of about a tenth. Two to three tenths of a percent of people would die of h one in one in fact it got to the point where They were able to test with the flu to figure out how many people got a lot of people getting h one in one not getting the flu. But here's what you need to understand though H. One in one is influenza. It's a strain of influenza. There's each one in one hundred and two h into h two in three. These are all strains of influenza Cova. Nineteen is not an influenza. We talk about flu like symptoms because the symptoms presented the flu. But it's not the flu. And that's the real disconnect for a lot of people I think is that we're not actually talking about the flu here. We're talking about a completely different virus that is unrelated to the flu. The symptoms look like the flu but it's unrelated to the fluid something different. It's something more deadly ten times more deadly than the seasonal flu and that has to enter into the conversation enters into the conversation about the issue of the president and whether or not we should close down the country now before we get there. I WanNa play Dr Burks because this comment from her is not getting a lot of attention and it probably should with regards to testing. I just want to speak to the Americans for just a second. We have to ensure that we still are testing. Even though probably by today we will have done more tests than South. Korea did in eight weeks in the last eight days in the last eight days. We've done more testing than South Korea. But we did that because we transform the testing process as the president spoke to. But we don't want people who are just worried to get tested if you don't have a persistent fever if you don't have a cough if you're not in the risk group if you're not a nurse or doctor we really want testing and the drive through testing and the testing that is provided in the cities to be very much still focused on the people who need it because there's only so much even those high throughput machines are doing. They're doing about fifty sixty seventy thousand tests a day now they could get potentially to one hundred and fifty thousand a day but we want to make sure we're testing in the areas. That really have the problems. There you go there you go. It is remarkable that we've been able to get this far in. What so aggravating. To me is there are a lot of people say well. What do we do the biggest January so Korea for the does the president do I do people understand it? And I know that the president breaks people and I'm not an overwhelming fan. At times of the president. There are things I liked things. I don't like but In all honest.

"Good morning welcome in his Eric. Erickson here the Erik Erikson show. We got a great guests coming up at the bottom of the hour. You're going to be want to be here for bread your Wa. He is the assistant secretary of Health and Human Services is an admiral. He is a doctor. He is the guy in charge of of coordinating the cove nineteen testing throughout the nation. He is going to be with me. The White House reached out late yesterday to see if they could get him on with me. He will be here at nine thirty. You're not gonNA WANNA miss that. The White House and the Senate have reached a two trillion dollar stimulus. Deal package The question is how does he get through the House of Representatives? Today I will explain but first let me do the daily audit of what is going on around the state right now the state of Georgia. We've got a thousand ninety seven cases now. Three hundred sixty one. People are hospitalized and thirty eight of those people have died. That is a three point. Eight per three point four percent mortality rate in Georgia right now but again. The number is so low of the number of people that we know for sure infected the testing continues to go up fifty six percent of those Fifty seven percent of those under the age of sixty thirty five percent over the age of sixty. Th it pretty even male female split me give you the county by county numbers here now. That list continues to grow. I realize we've got a lot of counties but everybody's interested in what their county is. So listen for the name of Your County hundred feet. Nine hundred ninety one Fulton hundred seven two cab hundred one darty ninety and Cobb seventy-six and Berto forty six net thirty in Cherokee twenty-six Carol Twenty four in lead. Twenty one in Clayton Seventeen and Clark Sixteen in hall thirteen in Henry. Twelve and Douglas. Twelve and fe at twelve and floyd eleven in Lowndes Tin and Coweta Tin in Richmond aid for Sites Eighteen Gordon. Eight in polk aid in Rockdale seven and Chatham six and Columbia six and Lawrence six Newton six polling six and troop five in early five in Glen Five in whole five in oconee. Five in spalding. Four in each of these big Mitchell. Muskogee pickens SUMTER TIFT and worth counties. Three in each of these counties Baker Crisp Effingham him Lamar Lumpkin Monroe Peach and terrel two in each of these counties Baldwin. Borough Brian Butts. Coffee Seminal Stevens Whitfield and one in each of these counties been hill. Burke Camden Charlton Chattanooga Clinch Colquitt Dawson. Fanning Green. Harris Heard Irwin. Jasper Liberty Lincoln make in Madison. Meriwether Miller Morgan. Pierce Polaski Randolph. Tattle tell fair. Turner Twigs Walton and Washington counties. We have seventy nine cases. We don't know where the people are from One of the issues too in my mind is Charleston. County that is South away crossed. It's there at the Yoki Fakih swamp area And it is. They're holding steady which one case there need has been one case there for two weeks now they have not expanded which is actually a good sign down there that they only have one person. Now you should know perspective here in India right now. They have shut the entire country down the entire country one point. Three billion people are now on a lockdown in India. That's never happened before in Human history that one nation has locked down in people's homes that many people they hardly have any cases in India. The problem is they're afraid if he gets into the wild and they've got five hundred sixty two cases right now in ten deaths. And they're afraid if he gets into the wild in India given the close quarters there in the lack of hygiene in parts of India or lack of good sanitation that it's going to go crazy nationally. We've got right now Nine Ten am fifty five thousand. Two hundred thirty eight cases in the United States. Eight hundred two people have died. The official recovery numbers three hundred fifty four but obviously more have actually recovered than that We've got growing numbers in Florida Louisiana. And of course the Newark situation is pretty terrible. What's going on in New York City? Right now That city is just not doing well and I want to get into some of the data there but I. I want to bring you up to speed on what the stimulus has done. The Democrats were forced to abandon many of their preferred pieces of of policy and proposals. Because they didn't actually relate to what was going on. It was somewhat striking to me to see even members of the media. Turn on Nancy Pelosi now. Initially the media decided that it really wasn't Nancy Pelosi's fault. The media initially decided that Nancy Pelosi was in the right and you started seeing from politico and the New York Times and elsewhere that Oh the Republicans are just reverting back to the blame. Nancy Pelosi thing and it's not really her fault it's Mitch McConnell's fall. It's the Republicans fault or hoboken's aren't being reasonable and then the data started leaking out from Republicans on what exactly it was that people were funding in the plan and suddenly there was the great meltdown of the media. That you can't do this you can't do this and it e- e- even you had people like Sunny husted the view which I can't believe they're still running the show but they are and A. She lost her mind over the president potentially benefiting and in fact it was one of the first people out of the gate suggesting this conspiracy theory that the reason the president wants to jump. Start the economy's because it's hurting him. Let's listen to this. This is what you call trump derangement syndrome. If you want to know what I thought what I say is trump derangement syndrome. It stuff like this that you view everything through the Lens of Donald Trump as opposed to the Lynn's of reasonable people in the country. We can save our grand parents if we just stay at home. That is not too much to ask for. An every single health expert is advising this president to continue to tell people to stay at home for him to just sort of you know flounder. That advice tells me that there is something in it for him and it tells me that there's something economic in it for him when you look at trump's commercial businesses you know that he is losing almost five hundred thousand dollars a day because six out of his seven. Hotels are losing money. They aren't shuttered every day. And that is why our founding fathers put the emoluments clause into the constitution our president shipping more concerned about the lives of Americans rather than lining his own relate about governor. Imola humans clause. She went there. The MOLIERE's clause he had the goose's Cuckoo cuckoo for cocoa puffs Just just just just bizarre nonsense from the view. But that's what the left is operatives. I've been seen them doing this on social media as well he here. In fact in the stimulus package There is a prohibition on members of Congress their families and the president and his family in any entities in which they have financial interests from taking advantage of the stimulus program. Now The hold up on this was they had to draft the agreements based on what the members of Congress came up with they had to put it in legal language. That took the hold up. The it's going to pass today though There will be two hundred. Fifty billion dollars set aside for direct payments for individuals and families three hundred fifty billion dollars in small business loans. Two hundred fifty billion dollars in unemployment insurance benefits and five hundred billion dollars in loans for distressed companies. I I'm hoping maybe we can carve out some money for for emotional support for the women on the view as well. The stimulus bill has a provision. This is I'm reading from CNN. Now directly the stimulus bill has a provision that would block President Donald Trump and his family as well as other top government officials and members of Congress from getting loans or investments from treasury programs in the stimulus the package would be the most significant legislative action taken to address the virus crisis which is overwhelming hospitals and grinding much of the economy to a halt Larry cudlow into the president's visors called the package. The single largest main street assistance program in the history of the United States under the.
