Great doubles team John from John Peers and Mike Venus. How'd you manage? Being the head coach such a big club and also working with these guys. Yeah, it's it's challenging. Sometimes I'm not on the road with them a massive amount I I do some events as when we can fit it in and it works for all of us. But when they're back in the UK back base, we we work at the club and we fit in around the the day to Day Club What Club coaching that I do the members like to see the the guys around the guys get involved on the court with some of the members which is great and members really enjoy that. Exhibitions and clinics and things. It's it's nice to have them around. And here you having a good week this week they took a nice English scalp in the first round in Rome. Yeah. The did they played. Jamie Murray near Skopje Fest? Round and which obviously J. me was was one of John's previous partners and then yesterday that a came through fourteen twelve in the final set breaker against John's partner from last year, which was Henry Continent finished guy. At the top level, they're all playing people they've played before, which must make. It's so interesting. How, from how do you coach or head of players deal with known that the other guy knows all their secrets are patrons may be a better word yet it's good. Yeah. Lots of players play with with certain patterns in they do specific things at certain times. So it's it's know we speak regularly before the matches. Go through what the opponents, what we might expect them to do what they did against them last time if they did it against the lost time and it was successful low probably good again, if if they didn't work than the opponent will change it. So we've got to be prepared for things to change and it might change through the course match nobody plays exactly the same way all the time but work before may not work this time or not common. So you're preparing for is best for them and is comfortable for them and hope it it. Does the job on the day of the players will play the more strategic way to try and unlock what we're trying to do on the court defined. One works better where there's two ways player can feel comfortable going out and just playing his own game earth team. Let's say can feel comfortable grope later on game and not worry Beth Yoder team or you can go out and unlock your players weaknesses, which may upset your game a little bit defined teams do one or a mix it up I think they mix it up and I think Seoul Mike I think they play their best tennis when they do the things that they do well, and we we tweak it a little bit according to who the playing against for me as an amateur tennis player I find important for me to work on my own game. Sometimes, you concentrate on too much strategy on your players weaknesses. It can I may not be good at exploiting you the players weakness of concentrate on actually don't play so well. So for me after lower level is I try and do what I know Bastin win or lose that's what I'll do. That's a that's a good fat. On me. So you're on the phone these every day. We Baker with apple daily basis sort of before the matches after the matches gather data on them kids. They've got the data with in terms of. Numbers in their retired numbers in points one, etc etc and will look at the data from the opponents of the next match. Look if there's anything that stands out that we need to look for the guys they play next they've they've played before but the guys two matches back to back there awhile wildcard in the tournament Talion Lodge. Yes. Do Well Battalion guaranteed this week. Yet very good does it seems to be a surge in in Italian tennis they're doing some some good things. The enormity matured a bit later in life, but they're seeing speak with senior. Doing. So well, a of C disparity news, a bit older who came out of nowhere really on Dan. A Mazzetti has a COUPLA Goodwin wins who I thought. You was going to be good, but didn't expect them to get to win this soon at that level. IS THAT'S Two. Good matches. The first two matches as done really well for someone. So young strangers that when somebody breaks on the tour beat male or female where they have that little runway for why we're knows how to play them. Yet on Dan Dan, they disappear for two years or three years and helps under back again they figured it out under causing trouble the kind of to get the little honeymoon period this sort of an unknown entity to start with. People have gotten much intimate obviously the more they played exposure they get more. Plays in the coaches Cedar, but they can start to formulate ways to unlock on play. was that he's an interesting one where they say he's a bit a rough in a bid and no I get him on a bit of federal enemies just a good combination of those three players which makes an exciting prospect in the future I. Hope. He could choose a plan to make up a three different layers. That's probably the three you to inspect future at a bit of Murray Grit in there would be good as well. For sure and a tabby. So US pretty talked with stats there. Do you get your stats from ATP tour? Is that where you get most of it from Saturday the Yankee Cole will do the team stats. Bet I do the individual stats are each player will have their own individual stats match I do that myself during the match From not sort of sitting on the court with them will get chunks to see match live I'll do after the match but a static data me give them to them after..

"Disappointed. But. She went onto. Lose the match, so she went onto least match one six six love six love. Absolutely bizarre. That's a crazy scoreline to dominate so much in the first set me like. Is a one point and to get double. Bagel what was going on with that well Mike God. Yes right about obviously likes to completely make this. A is saying that she made it six shades before, but yeah the wooden. Round against Ronnie and she hit four aces and fourteen witness say if anyone was at that match, they might be walked out quite seat. I think at the the change of men's between the sets thinking well. This is one way traffic I'm going to get out of their own. Maybe they'd stayed to see if she could. Make, a golden match because imagine Y- magic. She done it again. It's mad. War I. Think this is like the complete opposite to like. Giannis is the nickel by seconds of that we're. GOING TO BE BREAKS WE'RE GOING TO ADOPT A. Sixty, fifty, eight or whatever this? Nicole Win Twenty four points in I pay fast sat in the back. And the I love the fact, the chevaux on twitter set. Off to the she said today I laid a golden egg, so that was her way of describing, go and set. She's Kuda are laid a golden egg. I suppose also the tournament organizers. If there was rain forecasts, they'd be like. Yes, this is what we need. We need to quit his matches ever. schedule. All organizer was like. Whatever the situation, where it's like not enough time this fading light. Get me shred of. Because I'll tell you this. I mean Sarin Roddy I'm just thinking. She's not name for like the greatest service she she's probably quite easy to break, and she's probably not the most comfortable on girl stops. Issues. Will mcclay call which is more of a doubles especially, his doubles expert. Wonder what it felt like, it must have been quite demoralizing. Iranian and half and say I'm sure she's quite pleased to be sort of in the history books. In some way fats, but yeah, it's just one of those things you didn't. Do you guys think about this, but it's just nice day when these things happen. They School Board stories that we love say much. Let's be. Let's move on to our next number. Fourteen number fourteen on our list and we're GONNA. Go back to two thousand sixteen and again it's another British and tree, and it's Heather Watson and her partner. Continent. Forget Henry continents or a Henry Continent winning the mixed doubles at Wimbledon in two thousand, sixteen, which. If for me. The reason is on this list. Because this was like this is not a very. Aiken established mixed doubles path. This was You know. This was a felt like a very scratch pairing I read in the buildup. They only got together after an introduction from the former British play Chris Eaton I love. How like mixed doubles? Teams Cup about like for like Oh, by the way job to she. would be a pit bull like scientific bob well. Whatever flakes I mean, however you get together I think it tends to be these sorts of random bearings, Gordon and wind surprise titles like this I'm. I'm sure Chris. Eaton is very pleased himself avenue, but yet like this I just remember it being such a nice way of ending the championships, because see the mixed doubles final is the lost street played. And it was Kinda like I'm ready well to get to the final. That's great that she's on it, but then to actually go all the way and and to win. The title is fabulous and oversee. What's. She's had a heart breaks that we're more than she does. It was lovely that she's. She's walking away with title. Many British well, she's actually the any female British to one Grand Slam title. Of any form in last however many years, I think I'd be correct in saying. Yes million the most in recent history and I think as you said she we had. The has had heartbreaks of women, and you know we. We'll come onto them, but. In this tournament. Competition, she she had three match points in the first round against Anna. Quebec and she ended up ended up losing. I think it was a match. That went over like three days because of writing and. You know she. Credit touch she would've had to. Pick herself backer and you know. She went from a very low point. I guess at the very start of the tournament. My she would have had. Vam Bishen to maybe get like the second week for example to the very end of the championships where she was lifting the mixed doubles crown. Yeah exactly and I know say are the tight. Henry Constan. Now, think of as quite an established player actually at the time he had never been built in the second round. Eddie doubles an innocent Islamic for so this might have kind of kickstarted his his. Resurgence to the top of the Douglas Game because off today, so I think he he went on to win. We certainly want to amend stubble slamming I think he's one of the world's final say. Looking back ups I was surprised that she the that's time. He himself wasn't really. An established doubles fly. They really were base kind of. Just walk outs and. Interestingly they were given up luck quite early on. Because I t rounds will walk cavers. End Up playing. Three matches and I think you only have to win. Five in the mixed doubles, so they would have any played three to win the tool if I'm correct but. I'm not trying to take away anything from victory. I'm sure that. I'm sure that did how nightly, but they backed up a year later because they got to the final again. But, they lost Jamie Murray in an Martina Hingis say we'll allow the they say, but yeah obviously. It was kind of a dream for heather, and it was just such a nice partnership. Know they always very smiley. Happy on call and. I think you know like Jamie Murray Shade with with Yank. Vigil those years before. When you see these partnerships and call gelling really well together and I just having fun as well as getting down to work..
