Bowman keeps the 11th spot even with the penalty. Erica Merola won
Kyle Larson Lands Extension, Full Sponsorship Through 2023
"A funny thing happens when you do well a nascar team you drive for ten to one to keep you around for a while. And that's what's happening with kyle larson. He just signed a contract extension through the twenty twenty three season to remain at hendrick motorsports and hendrick cars dot com is going to be the brand and the majority sponsor of the car Were thirty five race schedule. This is huge news. I mean he's still in the middle of his first year with the team. Granted he's doing really well and lighting the season on fire but Besides that that's that's the news with. Kyle

As the new vice chairman of the company official at the turn of the new year. So here's part two of our re. Ask questions for jeff. Gordon back with us as we said on race. Line radio jeff. Do you think you're going to sit back. And and miss the tv work at all again working with dwi working when my working with larry or pit reporters but this year especially working with boy you he and i had a great rapport going into it and i knew he'd have fun but You that made it a tougher decision. I i really felt like the decision was all remained going into the season And and so you know. I don't think anything was going to change that here that that became Something that was a great transition for me to step out of driving and go to. It had a lot of similarities as driving with how you prepare. Go going over your notes working with the team and then when you get up there it's a live event so instinctively you're you're doing similar things that you would the driver just with a microphone and and Relying on your team so that was fun. I enjoyed it But like i said the end of the day the competition and and you're being arm-in-arm and kendrick is his really where I feel it old. Jeff gordon on racial on radio. The new vice chairman of hendrick motorsports. You know a lot of your new job at hendrick will be building and nurturing existing relationships right. I mean you know you. Just as an example part of adamy you and elliot larson bowman byron mean among other things. There's a dirt track route there that runs through all of you right.

"Syndrich will now go to the too and that keeps Many these job in the twenty one. Yeah let's see he's all in favor of this. Yeah i think everyone everyone kind of is happy and then ryan newman gets to go do whatever he wants to do. You can go to s rx. Yeah yeah no. I don't see a downside here Well i mean the only potential downside is that break laskey you know goes from a team. He won a championship with and has raised the vast majority of his career with to one that is a bit more uncertain and says performance is probably going to go down next year. But i don't even know how much i mean with this new car and everything and that's just if it's a new car then we're everyone's back to zero and you gotta figure too when you look at the. The big winners here has to be ford. He stays in a ford car. Yeah he doesn't go off somewhere else. Goes doesn't go back to chevy where he started with Something where now he is in that blue oval camp for the long term. I think manufacturer you like to keep that and then that that kind of you gotta figure if they shift a lot of their resources or rows. Which i don't think they've had in a while or at least Ahead as a attention for them because it's always been stewart haas than penske and then rouse and then to an extent you gotta figure rousers right there with front row motorsports in terms of how they get their attention from the manufacturer. But i think overall this is good for everybody involved It it gives kazlauskas kind of a foot in the door in terms of what it looks like to have ownership run your own team if he wants to revitalize his kids laskey racing decade or so down the line so i mean it. It's i think it's good for everyone. Especially if ryan newman's unsure if he wants to come back. Yeah and i agree. That four wins out here because not only they keep lasky but if brad coming into rally does something similar to what tony stewart did coming into Then it gets ford more competitive to more competitive cars on the grid and And that's something that row hasn't been really longtime is seriously competitive for race wins and for championships and And i mean we talked about it. When the initial rumors came out jack rushing getting a younger and he's a little worse for wear man. I mean he's devastated. Put away with a few times Sometimes literally and So to bring in a younger person to be involved in the management of the team and somebody who ran his own team in the truck series and they were successful You know this could be huge for ralph really big for ford and yeah for kazlauskas. You know maybe. He takes a minor step back and performance. Maybe doesn't next year but one way or the other. I think he'll come out on the better end of this In terms of his personal performance and what it leads to in terms of ownership and running rash Racing down the line and penske isn't really that her by because because they have austin syndrich. Yeah exactly and you look at fenway to. They probably want a racing guy in there as well wants Jack routes finally decided to step away. Yeah for sure and from that and we'll come back to the other story that You want to talk about in a second but from there. Let's talk about a kind of related story that we got confirmation. That jeff gordon is going to leave. Talks to run hendrick motorsports or prepare to run. Hendrick motorsports is going to be in this. The second in command next to rick hendrick. Same thing here you know. I mean just like brag. His laskey brings somebody younger with more race experience into a team that has in aging owner. It's the same exact situation. I mean the success level is different. Obviously right now. And it's super super important for hendrick motorsports because they are such a huge organization. Both you know for the sport financially that they have somebody who really understands what they're doing and how a team should be run running it and jeff. Gordon provides perfect opportunity. But unlike brad keselowski. He doesn't have that day to day operation ownership type of thing. Yes he's involved was involved in. The forty eight car is involved in the forty eight car. But rick hendrick was running the show so i think he needs time to ramp up and it makes no sense if this is going to be his future gig. It makes no sense for him to continue messing around in the in the broadcast booth. Bummer because i think he's good When there's so much at stake with hendrick motorsports and they can get him up to speed right now. When like we were mentioning earlier they have four incredibly young drivers who are all incredibly talented and capable of winning races and capable of winning championships. You start right now. You get those guys coming up through the system. Working with jeff gordon primarily and then the whole operation is now solidified for the next fifteen years. No problem. yeah. I mean you gotta get him out of the booth if this is the thing if this is the end goal anyway. Why not do it now. Why why. why wait. Why pussyfoot around it just get it done in the long scheming and like you said like he he did have some kind of hand in the forty eight but at the same time. It's not the same as running. All four teams right and nine to appeal sponsors here there and everywhere so i think it's a good move. I think now is just the time to get my joy out of the booth and just completely revamped xactly. Let's finish the job. Finish what we started everybody. Yeah exactly so adamant. There is available now gadhafi. It is going to be interesting to see what they do in the booth weather it. They add somebody with a boyer. Or whether it's just gonna be boyer or how that's all going to work. I think it's too bad booth Fine all things considered. I think that's perfectly fine. Especially when you re larry mac on remote to throw to. I think it's fine to have just boyer and someone else up. Their boy has the The ability to develop into like. Benny parsons type of person. Kind of look goofy. Funny you know. Load school as good insight. Yeah yeah still still still still relevant because he just came off the tracks so yeah You know like. I said i thought that that jeff did a good job but and and i think he helps because appeals to a wider audience. Outside of just you know the south. Because he doesn't had the accent. But i mean i can totally see. I mean it totally makes sense for him to do this. We also from kansas. So i think that are missouri so that was too early in the middle of nowhere yeah And then a. What was the other story. That i missed because i know something else. Ms tally gracing finally announced their program. Oh i thought put that down. No i guess. I didn't okay. Justin haley will be driving full time in the cup series on and they acquired to charters what how right so kelly will also have their expanding program which will have aj dinger running full-time And then he will have a part time nascar cup Venture as well does not say who they got the charters from interesting how they dissolved or how they how they happen but they now have The the good ole. Oh spire still tube. It's three charters to colleague. Wow well that's good. Yep so they have. So they'll have the two the two full-time deals yeah they'll have So spiral continue to have the number seven and and that may be the seventy seven just.

"Like hell. No don't do anything. And welcome everyone to in the draft with wilson. And was i'm wilson here in sunny southern california meanwhile right across the internet from beautiful studio of the dakotas version. Two point zero. It is one. Mr scotty was what's happening to their wives man. I'm telling you the good thing about taking a week off is the fact that you can just do whatever the hell you want. That's not having to do with work anytime for me. Which i'm sure from our conversations you just which to right now. Oh man got too. Many jobs is too much crap going on which is why we're actually recording this show on friday for once usually comes out on friday we We recorded on thursday this ten. Some people don't get friday some people don't get on the friday sometimes but but most of the time that's the ideal the ideal is that you get on friday today. Get it on friday because it's going to be sitting right here on my computer. I'm not going to be able to forget. Go right there in front of them absolutely And i don't know should we call it. The studio of the dakotas version. Two point zero or is it actually kind of two point five. Now because you got like the new set-up there. I think it's still two zero since we've so it would have been a two point three. I guess would have been something else. I just point been staying true to form on now man. So big shocker. Nascar goes to new track model east new for the cup series. Not new overall. All the excitement is going to be different is going to be like something is going to be a wild card race. No no just same damn thing we've been seeing for weeks now and carson dominating. Hey good for him. I guess the redemption story continues forum. Yeah and yeah like it got so bad that i was driving home from Twin cities as we were doing doing stuff. And they're just like yeah. No kyle larson shutting off his engine as he gets to the back streets to conserve fuel. Really have quite the lead then rally. He'll two hundred sixty four of three hundred laps. What is it about the hendrick cars this year. Though good in general. I just don't i don't but but the thing is is that this kind of breeds the idea that if you're doing good in the regular season the postseason might not be the best for you. Well that's true net notion. Yeah no that is a concern and and it's really weird. The weird part is that there again. More two hundred cars in the top three. And you thought oh. Hendrickson had kind of a mediocre day because not for the cars were in the top six. And that's that's always a good thing to have when you're when you get that thing hanging over your shoulder. Yeah not all of them. Were in the top ten garbage wrong. We need a symposium now one of them had a big issue that we'll talk about here in a second but yeah it's twofold. There are two things when it comes. Hendrick motorsports right now number one. We have to remember that like two years ago when jimmy johnson. Funnier before that. Like half. The reason jimmy johnson retired isn't because he couldn't win. Because all of hendrick motorsports win jack squat and now they're freaking dominating everything it's insane. How quickly things change. And then yeah number two like you said you have to worry about the playoffs at that point because we've seen so many times the team or the driver or the organization that dominates the regular season and the playoffs start in races in the row. And somehow they just can't put it together and you get the kabul syndrome where you know. You're great during the regular season. Or did any hamlets or the joe gibbs racing syndrome where you great during the regular season and then all of a sudden when it comes down to get done in the final ten they stumble and in one round and then it's over and there's time to recover at that point and then i guess i could throw a third thing on there and i know it's something that you brought up in the past. They're doing great right now and they've finally got it right with this car. With the with the current packages scr struggle with it for so long and they finally got it right now. Everything is going to change. What's going to happen next year when it's this next generation car and the playing field is kind of level to be able to keep this edge or not and i don't know that they're going to be able to keep the edge. I'll know if anybody's going to have an edge going in the next season now. I think we go and literally from scratch from nineteen forty eight and we're back again or no one knows what the hell's going on you just drive your exactly and it's interesting about hendrick. Is they go from like the one of the oldest lineups to one of the youngest and of like three years. Yeah that that helps a whole hell of a lot to in terms of i think their oldest guy might be larson. I think at twenty eight yay twenty nine. Chase elliott isn't isn't that age yet. oh. I don't even think he's twenty five. No china i think you look you look at every they have everyone under thirty like own that crew and that's pretty damn amazing to have that much excess in be that good That young and and they still have the world ahead of them. Essentially chasing just Just twenty five minutes twenty three. Yeah he is bowman this twenty eight a bowman and and elliott or larson are the same age. Yeah yeah wing you get four good drivers under under thirty on your squad. I think it's that's that's very promising regardless of what kind of car you're going to next. I mean obviously kendrick is known for getting drivers drivers young and writing out there. Kurt jeff gordon jimmie johnson after that and now he's got four opportunities to do the same thing and of course. Chase elliott already has won a championship so in that respect he's already succeeded in finding somebody who can make into a champion and then right out their career with him so unless beyond lucked. Into alex bowman kyle larson..

Sizing up Kyle Larson's Extraordinary Run
"Want to talk about. Kyle larson in this role that this guy is on. You worked with jeff. Gordon you compete against jeff gordon. The nine hundred ninety eight and this is what this reminds me of right now. That kyle larson has six consecutive races. First or second place finishes four victories. Three points races put in perspective australia. Steve what this role means because to me. It feels a lot like jeff. Gordon circa one thousand nine hundred. Well listen. so he's driving premier equipment. The hendra motorsports car seem to have the most speed in the field but the counter that is driving that against three other premier drivers right so it's easy to say it's got the fastest stuff yet but you to chase elliott william byron and alex bone to do it and oh by the way he did he drove around chase elliott with one of the most masterful gutsy all star race tight moves driving to the outside quarter panel a third lane. We had yet to see in ninety laps. So the move for the all star race was outstanding. I think kyle. I think this is the kyle larson. We all thought was out there. You can only decided but he wins in everything. He's so much talent we didn't know if it was his preparation holding him back if it was asked if it was his youth if it was his lack of mentor sh we didn't know we'll never know because it kind of all the jumbled up reset but now he's an organization with a lot of leadership. Jeff gordon you mentioned it stein in the fox booth what he's still has a role andrew motorsports rick hendrix there. Chad can houses there. We asked outs blue being us out. Hey how're the post like you said you ever met chad kind of. There's a lot of leadership around him and a lot of confidence and a lot of talent and driving great equipment and i think that's what you're seeing right the combination of the three two minutes amount of confidence. And you know we said it on our preview show. You and i both cholera and watching. Because you take that much talent with that much motivation. The timing of hendrick motorsports and what they're doing communist chevrolet and where they are in the grand scheme of things. You got this recipe for success. Now he's doing it against the defending champion on. His team is the defending champion of our series. And he's taking the fight to him

"Why hasn't he done that. I don't know our youtube video with that. Exact question from last week is doing pretty good over there. Dot com slash. The final thought. I'd throw that in there. So if you're a kendrick let's look at it. Now you've brought a guy who is a year off suspension. How good has been this year in the eyes of the boss man. He's run so good this year. I mean if you look at thank saw. The lead over thousand laps will absent anybody this year. He was in position to win two or three times. It didn't come together and He's been through a lot and to see him. Come out here and run like that and make a statement and show his talent I think you know the guy's been through a whole lot. And i'm just excited to geez just really feels good and got a really great vibe right now here in cliff and I'll look into a lot of windsor. This year are h. On more of kyle's raw talent put a car in places that You don't think it'll go and having fun wanting to win one the lead every lap and you know he just reminds me a lot of lot of him and So i mean it's all our guys have unique talent but he is a racer and I look at william. And how far williams calm. I mean william been Every single week He's been there. I think they're just getting stronger together. But kyle is You know he's probably got more rice thing experience than the other guys He races everything. there is to race and And he says it makes him better. And i mean when you can find any kind of car go to track and and and win when you've got two guys that went all races there. I think he's made a statement at how much talent he has. You know. peer pressure is a hell of a thing. Carry and rick. Hendrick says it can be a powerful tool amongst drivers. Yeah i think listen. They all want to win. And when you lead laps. And he win races at motivates the other guys they know exactly what's in the cars. They share a ton of information They debrief together and Yeah want any. One of them wins. motivates the other guys. So there's nothing like Th they want to company women they wanna win they wanna beat the other guy but you know it's it's it's one of those things that everybody wants to be number one in in the herd so You know just let them all win races and we'll see how it comes out on the other end couple more from rick hendrick. Which car did he want to see. Break this record. I didn't care who broke the record. I mean i just wanted to win it. Anyone of them. I pull all the same and You know it's it's tough when they're battling each other for the lead but the objective in this race was win it and whoever can win it that was great The fact that the five was first number and we decided to go back to it. this year. it's pretty neat. That was our number. But i amid twenty four hours. Gotta lotta history with us. A chases number alex's number would jamie's forty eight. So i didn't care. He wanted just one of them wanna rick hendrick's going to break down his roster of drivers and his personal relationship with each and every one of them. You know number one. I'm very fortunate to have these guys. Because they're good people. I mean i've seen worked with chase since he was fourteen..

"This is golf five weekly. Welcome back to the final weekly. My name's kerry murphy his name toby christie and we call this thing the final lap weekly. I think said that Let's hear from rick hendrick like wall-to-wall flag the flag here in a segment. To first up all four cars were in the top five. This past weekend must be nice to be rick hendrick. You work hard. You hope you can pull that off and all the cars be fairly close and For under ice together. And you know. I don't know what turned it on all of a sudden but All that hard work and the cars fast guys are doing a great job. Pit crews doing well. It feels good. I mean i. I can't believe we could got to sixty nine. It was kind of neat to on anyone of win but the first one was five and and this one is no five. I just remember how close it was not to be not finish out the first year so but you work towards having this kind of communication and the cars running together but it's just hard to drivers have been the key to the success for riddick hendrick and hendrick motorsports throughout the years. Here's rick. I had a lot of really good drivers. I've been really blessed if you look at everybody. That's wanna race with us from on. Tim richmond to waltrip. I mean you can look at jeff. Gordon jimmie johnson seven championships. All of them have unique features. I think kyle is gonna win. A lot of races chases already a champion. I'm really excited about williams running every week and alex too so It's like having a bunch of kids. You love mall saying each one has different strengths and characteristics but at the end of the day they work well together so sports on top of the all time wins list and team owner. Rick has been a racer all his life. So this is nothing new you know. I've i kind of grew up with my dad. And i raised when i was fourteen and i raised all my life. I mean that's been Automobile business. I tell everybody. I'm really fortunate to be able to do two things in life. I love outside of my family that carbon the center and racing from really humble beginnings and not having money to buy tires and ride the back of a truck in trenton new jersey to watch a modified race the day and for kendrick. It's not just him. It's not just the drivers. He says he has a ton of talented people behind the success of his team over the years i was thinking out there on pit road hoping to caution and we could get it done tonight. You know how fortunate. I've been to have the talent that our organization so I think we got a lot lot all racists to win and they won't musicians really pumped up right now and we've got good momentum and we arrived as wave as long as we can't yet he's just got a tremendous amount of talent and you know cliffs got a lot of talent and they. They have the chemistry. There has been much better and quicker than i thought it could be and You know. I just say great things between those two rush this year and into the future. One thing. That kyle larson said in the in the post race. That caught me was they. Their attention to detail is so vast that the grass being mowed on the property is perfect. While here's rick describing his newest driver kyle larson khalas He's an awesome talent. I mean he is just some of the moves he makes The quality can do with a car and different situations found a place to run on track. Now he's got an also amount of talent. I mean you know. I knew how to a new talented but you seem sprint cars and midgets and everything else. Almost three or four times a week but it's the guys just. He wants to win super dedicated. He's all business and Yeah he's just got a tremendous amount of talent and you know. Cliffs got a lot of talent and they. They have the chemistry. There has been much better and quicker than i thought it could be and You know i. I just say great things between those two this year and into the future. Do you think. Kyle larson had any idea how different it would be driving for. Hms compared to see gr wall. Someone told him that. I i forget he was saying the post race is somebody told him that. Man you you in a hendrick built car. You're going to have a great season. I forget who said it was. But yeah yeah i think that's proven true. Rick hendrick happy to see nascar getting back to normal Now that we're kind of starting to wean off of the covid nineteen pandemic things are still out there and you still got to be careful but He's happy to see things going back normal. It feels so good to walk down. Pit road be able to go on pit road and To say the fans in the stands in this day excitement when when we go to the track in a race with no fans. It's like you're gonna test. That's exactly what tests feels like so just the excitement and air The fans you know coming in today Fans overflowed and the military here. That was special. It's always a special day. Hendrick Motorsports Nears Petty Win Record After 1-2-3-4 Result
"Hendrick motorsports the first one two three four finish for hendrick in its team history. Only the fourth time in cup history. That's been done in the first and the cup series since rosh benway racing team. You have some knowledge of two thousand five at the season finale at homestead miami speedway so just to give you a little context henrik has only been a four car team since two thousand and four so i one two three four finishing essentially seventeen years. I that they've been able to do that but you know what's your first reaction to that. When you hear the hendrick motorsports for the first time ever in what thirty. Seven years of history has a one two three four finish. Well i think about is two years ago when we were talking about. What's wrong with hendrick right. And we we. We had this expectation level of hendrik. That's pretty high. We expect to see them contending for championships winning the lottery to me to me. In the era that i raced in hendrick was the most dominant team out there and that faded faded over time and it was. They didn't jump right back into it. They had to work themselves back into it. And now here they are and they also invested you. Think about what they did. They invested in a lot of youth right so took brought a lot of young drivers and that has cultivated into a very young team with a lot of winners on it heading into right direction. This is the opposite of what we were talking about. Two years ago. I think hendrick motorsports is repositioning themselves to be dominant force. They won the championship last year. We chase elliott now chase elliott. That hasn't wanna raise this year and alex bowman's want to i know chase elliott fans. Think well that's not good but it is good if the guy that won championship you last year is the guy. That's not winning this year and everybody else has stepped it up. That's a good thing. Now they've chase elliott rezoning twentieth every weekend. That what that's not chase elliott's running okay. He's not been winning expecting to do. But but that's a good problem for a team to have. It's almost impossible to have all four clicking. You know what i mean. It's really really difficult. But i just i just i think a reversal of where we were two years ago. That's the first thing that pops in my brain

The Hinterkaifeck Slaughter
"In the eighteen sixties. Hinder kaifaqu was built on vast farmland in the state of bavaria germany. One large l shaped building consisted of the machine house the barn and the living quarters a second smaller building served as a tool shed while the rest of the property was framed by dense forest. The nearest town known as grow burn was less than a mile down the road from the farm. A slightly larger settlement called catholic lay south of the far which is where the farms name came from hinder meaning behind so behind. Caifa in one thousand nine hundred five. The unknown owner of enter kaifeng died and left the farm to his wife. A woman named to there are no known records of when or how chilean at twenty-six-year-old. Andreas gruber a wiry hardworking local. Perhaps she saw andreas as the perfect man to help manage the farm or maybe andreas saw opportunity in the property owning older widow. And of course maybe it was love regardless to chilean married. Andreas one year after her husband's death making him co owner of inter hyphen check and in eighteen. Eighty seven to chillier gave birth to their first daughter victoria. The family made more than enough to support a newborn but they were also froogle. Records are unclear over what their farm actually produced and sold but their wealth drew plenty of unwanted attention. The surrounding villages kayak and grow burn stayed and connected via gossip in since. The gruber's were fairly private people. They bore the brunt of the rumors. They were polite and helpful but no one considered them warmer friendly. They never hosted neighbors or joined community celebrations southern isolation as hostile but most just found it. Strange andreas was the target of most of the hearsay. His stinginess rudeness and temper drew plenty of criticism along with his abusive nature. There were whispers that he beat chillier throughout their marriage and win. Victoria was old enough. The abuse landed on her as well. One of the families biggest scandals happened in the early eighteen ninety s. The couple had a second daughter sophia but around her second birthday. The young girl mysteriously died. Andreas was rumored to lock his children in the farm seller for days as punishment. So those who knew. The family suspected that. If sophia wasn't killed by one of andrea says violent outbursts. She likely died of neglect. Plenty of villagers considered these stories tall tales. The gruber's might not have been the friendliest people made up for it elsewhere. They treated their employees well. They lent their neighbors food as long as it could be paid back and they hired those who desperately needed work. If the rumors affected victoria didn't show as she grew up she mingled with the neighbors more than her parents did. She was hard working. Pretty and approachable her. Normalcy seemed to calm people's suspicions of the family in nineteen. Fourteen twenty-seven-year-old victoria married carl. Gabriel a man from the nearby town of law. Little is known about karl or the arrangement of this marriage whether it was for love or more practical matters the latter seems likely since this union led to changes in hendrick affects management for unknown reasons. Andreas enchiladas senior had passed down. Ownership of hinder kaifeng. Back to victoria curl was also made owner of the farm. Thanks to their marriage contract whether it was. Victoria's union the presence of carl in the house or the new ownership. The first year of their marriage was a disaster. Especially for carl testimonies suggested that. Andreas mistreated carl in. Refused to step down as patriarch based on andrea says history of abuse. People whispered about screaming matches and violent fights. Carl bitterly complained to neighbors about how unhappy he was. At the gruber's he told his friend. Laurenz schlitt and bauer that the family was greedy. They even made him skip meals to save money.

"hendrick" Discussed on LifePix Relationships With ST

Hope you're having an awesome day and still on a high from Anthony truck sharing how he went from Foster Care to NFL to an identity shift coat and literally an extraordinary life relationship like blew me away. Today's guest is a conscious relationship coach just Hendrick. Thank you so much for being here. I'm really excited to start speaking to you as I find this topic that's really fascinating and interesting. You want to start right away by telling us, how do we go and become conscious about our relationship. So, well, it really depends kind of what challenges people are experiencing but the beauty Of it is every principle that I teach my clients applies to all relationships. So whether you're having challenges with you know, romantic partnership or with a family member or a boss or a co-worker, it's all the same because the way that we operate in the world is really dictated by our subconscious belief. So between the ages of zero and suck then we decide our beliefs about the world based on our experiences in our family and just what we experience in those first few years of life or like little sponges. And so we developed these beliefs about the world and then we play them out over and over again in every relationship that we have. So really doesn't matter, you know, which relationship or what kind of challenge you're having. It's more what are the beliefs that are creating this outcome, right? If someone has a trauma something happens right doesn't have to be a major thing, but could be kid made fun of them in school before 7. It's going to give them a certain job. You on their life if it happens after their 7, does that still affect their whole view on life or only Parts? How does that work? That's a good question. No one's actually ever asked me that so I believe between 0 and 7 is when we're we're really like a sponge and we'll kind of absorb things and we're trying to figure out make sense of the world around us, right, but that doesn't mean that the experiences we have after that wage aren't impactful especially if it's a traumatic experience and I know sometimes the word trauma can sound like very dramatic and like a very extreme situation, but it's really any time that we experienced a high state of emotion and usually a negative High state of negative emotion. So even after the age of seven, we can have experiences that really shape you believe about the world and what we believe about other people about life and about, you know, how things are in the world. So definitely we can still get impacted after the age of seven for sure. Okay. Let's have a belief. That's not really doing good for me. Maybe I'm not good enough for something. What can I do to break that belief to have a belief that actually helps me in life are step one in our process is really uncovering the beliefs that are running your life. So we want to get in there and really ask the questions and actually go back into past memories and uncover. What's happening. So often say you had a memory from when you were younger, I would actually have you walk me through the memory as though you were experiencing it now and really get into the feeling of experiencing that a month afterwards. I would ask you. What did you decide about life? What did you decide about others? What did you decide about yourself? And from there the beliefs just start popping up like I'm not enough. I'm not worthy. I'm Different. I don't fit in you know, and from there we can develop kind of this idea of what the beliefs are that you have and that's the first step. So that's the the core of it because if we don't move, Where this we can't shift anything, right? Yeah. Yeah. So that's the beginning and then as we move forward we need to first of all have compassion for ourselves and love for ourselves known knowing that we imprinted these beliefs and our subconscious as you know, young children or even you know later in life because our brain was telling us what it thought we needed to keep ourselves safe. We never got to make ourselves wrong or judge ourselves for the beliefs that we have because there's a reason and our mind is designed to solve a problem. So if you can kind of understand why you develop that beliefs and have compassion for yourself and Grace for yourself first, then all of the resistance goes away like why do I think like that or I'm so annoyed that I think that you know something different or I don't fit in it's like no, let's just observe it without judgement and that would be you know, step number two step number three would be actually shifting into okay if this belief is dead. Serving me what could I do to replace it? What would I like to replace it with so maybe you know instead of I can't trust anyone something like people are always helpful or I can trust myself and then we want to develop habits and practices and things that really reinforced that new belief. Yeah. Yeah. I like I said like not always because you see like people are always helpful. That would be like dead. Something else will come up Wednesday. No, that's not curious. The thing I could trust myself is a really good on. I like that one much better. Now. What about someone like me who does not remember a single thing before I was seven thousand. Yes, so I have a few clients like that actually and it's perfect. It's all perfect. So whatever it is, whatever comes forward a lot of times we don't actually get to access those off earlier memories because people don't remember and there's a high probability that there is maybe some trauma there or something that your brain doesn't really want to go back and remember and that's totally fine wage. Honor that and so the beauty of it is no matter what even if it's something that happened last week we can still access what's going on in your subconscious because it's a theme that we play out for our entire life. So whether we developed, you know, the first experience younger than the age of seven, we can still have an experience last week that's playing out that belief of I'm not enough. I'm not worthy Etc. Right? So the the key is really tapping into the emotion underneath the belief and we can do that with any memory. It's just a little more powerful. Sometimes if we can go back to the earlier memories, but it's affected either way. Okay. So just saying the story accesses subconscious, how do you do it that you really get to the root? What we do is we kind of just start talking and I would ask you so what's going on right now, like what's been coming out for you and your life and whatever is coming up in that moment would be what your Consciousness wants to handle and wants to have a break. And from there, I would have you say okay. Tell me a time in the past where you felt similar to this and if you can think of one amazing or something pops in if not, then let's just talk about current thing. That's at hand right and really going back and taking me through step by step as though you were experiencing it right.

Did you have a sense going in of the reds interest for you? Did you think there was an opportunity at twelve of you're there? their my opinion. I didn't know exactly what was going to happen. I had an idea from some different places. But I'm going in and hearing that I'm hearing my name called and number twelve is unbelievable, experience and like something I will never forget any idea over the months any idea how many zoom meetings you did with teams or what? What was that process like? There is a lot. A number. A really cool experience, though this town with everybody has to say and seeing where I landed as well You know I'm very very happy very excited and you know There's no way to get out there. Get the red uniform on and Get out there and play. You know that's something that I'm very excited for win. Reds fans, watch you or even when they go to Youtube and watch some of your clips to this point, what do you? What do you hope they see in you as a player in the way you play the game? This together does outplays hard plays away. You know what I mean I like to go out there and you know I. Bring a sense of confidence, a little bit of swagger, but Um, not not not a person's financial at all. Go out there fighting in the right way and you know I love the hit so. Actually you know had a couple of home runs and pity game with a lot of passion. I laughed last night. You talked about going to youtube and watching King Griffey Junior. Tell us about your appreciation for for junior, not not just the player, but the person it seems Oh. Yeah, he's A. He's a role model for me. Most definitely something. Um, you know not only still even now over the whole porn pain, continue to keep them better with that and very very happy with what I did and continue to keep growing into Austin here. Here's what jumped out to me. That impresses me about your decision to when you change your swing. You were I believe at the time line is right. This was this was during some high level competition showcase events. Some guys might be Leery of getting out of their comfort zone against top notch competition. You went right to it and did it right through that, didn't you? Absolutely how most definitely There was a mike the night before decision You know playing a great. You know that's on. The next day. Really nerve wracking. Just gone and. Not. Knowing what to expect came out really well at home that day and Bad and constantly been working on that conflict on ed working with that. Here's another thing that jumps out to me and looking at your junior year. I know you were walked a lot. Few teams wanted to pitch to you that had to help your disciplined, because it doesn't seem like you chase you instead of trying to do too much. You kind of just took what they gave you. Absolutely you know PA they're definitely. A Lotta walks at high full season an anyway anyway to help the team in on base, though second and third, and I'm getting scorn position for Dada hit me in so whatever it took to help the team out and. You know being a team player and help out 'til till reds fans about your outfield skills. Is there a position out there you're? You're most comfortable play. Now on a theatrical play all three Coach those and. To play I'M GONNA. Go out there and play one hundred and ten percent now I'm getting very strong arm, and I'm love for people out on. Routes that are baseball and Myself know thoughts and you know scar off the game hard in the right way without a senior season for everybody to watch. How big were those showcase events that you played in last summer? They were awesome and other. It was so much fun I'm going out there playing some grey competition on even even the coaches that were there sure so much knowledge and I'm just being there enough for me to be a sponge and listen to it all, and and just try to help me and put my game as much as possible. You were at Wrigley Field you won the under armour Homerun Derby. Take me back to that moment. How cool was that? That was awesome exchange. Being around great competitors, and you know coming on top and him. and..

But only had three top tens averaged twenty four point five place finish and was twenty eighth in the standings. Then this one is greater you to William Byron to Hendrick motorsports. Yes. He was the rookie of the year. But he was kind of the rookie of the year by default. Four top tens average finish of twenty two point one twenty third in the standings, not even close to making the playoffs like all three of his other teammates did. And then Matt cans at the rouse racing supposed to be development move. They didn't develop too much. He scored two top tens. He had averaged finish of twentieth. He was thirty second in the standings. But remember he only ran fifteen races. So, but I in my opinion, he was no better than Trevor Bayne in that car. So I'll go first on this one. I think it's super easy while it's not super easy for me. For me. It's easy. It's easy as hell. I'm you know, I think I have to go with with Casey Cain to LeVine family racing. I know that he was saying step back, but it wasn't supposed to be the year that ended his career and it ended up doing it. But I, but I feel bad picking him because it wasn't all his fault. I mean, obviously had you know, medical issue going on that that would only affect them in the second half of racism was really kind of taking a toll on him. But he did nothing to move that program forward. For me. I can understand where you're coming from. But for me, it's belongs depending. Casey kane. I can't say it's the worst move because he was on a downward trend in LeVine family racing was kind of what a downward twin to or stagnated trend. I should say. Yup. William Byron's, a rookie. I can't fault them on that a rookie with a new manufacturer body and everything like that..

"And I think I was twelve when a guy that worked Hillary Matthews road in the back of Jack dance pickup truck to Trenton New Jersey to watch a car, win the championship who drove that car right? Hinder Ray Hendrick. So I've got the car and what's so amazing is Jack, and I call Jack tant and he said, you know, the motor that was in that car I had in my truck, took it out of my truck twenty five years ago, and it's back in the back and I'll rebuild it for you. And so we found the injectors we found so the car when I was twelve years old that I watched win races down the building complete and the truck I bought the truck from Jack that towed it. So that's not. You didn't see that today. But anyway. 'cause you go around the building, the drag strip person county race debt. And then city. Chevrolet was my first big dealership, the Citco station that's in there. It's where I met my wife forty six years ago, and I worked to make a living while I was going to school and working on cars. So as you go around the building, you see my really paying tribute to my family, mom, dad, Granddad, Masan and then upstairs, I, Tim Richmond, gave me a Bruce Springsteen guitar. And Bruce Springsteen will buddies, and I went to concert met Bruce back in eighty six. I think it was. So that kind of started the first guitar was Chet Atkins when Bohdan one Nashville, and then it was Springsteen and now got a lot of guitar. You have almost as many guitars in there. I think is cars. Which got me a little off guard. I didn't know you were such music collector. I knew about, obviously you're not a motive guy. That's what your own for both in business and in racing, but your music collection is impressive. A lot of the artists come through and to see the cars, they're in town and concerts, and I've met Gaza become good friends like Brad paisley and Zac Brown, and you know, I was a huge, Steve winwood fan, and so Steve winwood comes through play to get to our in front of the video, higher love, which was my favorite song back in those days, seeing the Ovidio him doing it again in front of it would get the army, and I was like, this is heaven. And then Alabama and Brad, Alabama, Brad paisley did the song old, Alabama was shot in the museum. Derek Rucker has used my chevelle convertible in two videos. You know, I love to listen to guys, you know, brattle sit on the couch. Play a song talking to me about a car. He wants to Bill and and Zach the same way..

"In the car with great fourtime champion and legend jeff gordon ways in i'm extremely excited about his movement it's happening within the whole sport but especially here hendrick motorsports to be able to blend seventime champion his experience to jimmy johnson with this young talented gerber drivers i think it's very exciting for hindered as well as for the sport in general so i'm definitely looking forward to seeing the flames on this race car in this 24 car and i just think william is his rise to vis level i've never seen anything like it anybody get their faster than he has and it's because he's earned it is incredible talent it's going to be a lot of fun to watch chase elliott is sliding into the new napa number nine car great to have the nabucco is back on i i didn't realize this until the day will for five years starting next year which is pretty wild and no you know what what they've done for me and in it in a really how far that partnership is dropped me so appreciate their willingness to change it up in a car turned out great and all cars a great so i'm excited to see him on track his dad bill elliott has quite proud of his son and his old number nine coming back to the racetrack to look at the whole generation i mean it was a great opportunity for us to precisely drought kale's car the last couple of years and that opportunity but for me it's it's fun to see him in the noncore i grew up gagro graviton that all years and then you won't short tracks drawback through the nationwide than expanded he then i'll to draw the twenty four cups a day it'll be fun i think the fans will really be well received.

"They don't bring the fast scars to the racetrack i think they have the second fastest hendrick car for jimmy johnson behind chase elliott well here lightly as the way it looks but you've got to believe that whatever chases got is available to the 48 so if if it's not really working for them and when you look overall i mean it with the exception really of the eighty eight i'm kind of surprised we've we had four hinder cars inside the top twelve casey am can't had a good run today but you're right i mean that speed what were used to seeing added jimmy johnson unchecked canals is not there yet in oba the way they're looking at telladega and they they are definitely a good bad no leading when it comes that racetrack but you said they're not there yet take tick take dictate i wanna lovers bourbon likes to say that we're running out of races were running out of time i mean we're iaea worth four races in their six to go uh we've talked a lot we we've exhausted the conversation alexis about or can they find the reset button can they find the the magic go button and golden horse show they gotta get adha origin because they don't it's not there right now and i'm not a after i can only tell you what i see on the racetrack i see a really i see a good car i don't see a great car and the thing about that organization and at draver particular you don't know when all of a sudden is going to be happy yeah i mean 'cause they won't stop that that's the one thing that you've got to be farce a former karachi's concern i'm a fan about which can acid hendrick motorsports.
