Opinion: Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James is worth more than $85m

"Have had a really short offseason right? Like their last their season ended. On October 11th. And their first preseason game is December 11th. So we're talking about two months. Roughly half of one and normal offseason is for a finals champ. Not for any other team, but for a finals champ. They're getting half the time they normally would. But Rob Pelinka has been busy as hell. They brought in the sixth Man of the year. Montrose Harold they brought in the sixth Man of the year runner up Dennis Schroder. Brought in Marcus all they brought in Wesley Matthews. They re signed KCP. They re signed Marquis of Morris. And then, in the last 24 hours, they made the moves that everybody was expecting. First, there was the news that LeBron had agreed to a two year extension with the Lakers, then the news. And Anthony Davis had agreed to a five year extension with the Lakers. And both were expected. But for any Laker fan freaking out and sweating that either LeBron or a D would leave, rest assured, that's not happening. Nor should it like, Why would they? Why would they? They just want to ring. They've got a really good look at another. In fact, I make the argument that this year's roster is better than last year's roster. Now That doesn't mean they're gonna win again. But all you can ask for this point. Is a chance and they've got a damn good chance. In fact, they've got better better than a damn good chance the deals with LeBron and 80 or not a surprise. But they are interesting as an example that two year extension that LeBron reportedly agreed to is going to run through the end of the 2023 season and reportedly is worth 85 mil. Some of you might be thinking 85 mil. For two years to turn a cash, especially for a guy who's got that many miles on him. Who me? Especially for a guy who's gonna turn 36 later this month. In this case to me, 85 mil. It's not too much. In fact, it's not even close to too much. In fact, I'm gonna argue that LeBron is worth a hell of a lot more than 85 mil. I'm gonna argue. LeBron is worth double that amount of money, if not more, and again, that's not hyperbole. That's not exaggeration. Look where the Lakers were before LeBron arrived. They had been in the post season in years. They were a complete and total mess. Then he shows up and leaves them tow a ring in a second season. You can't put a price tag on that. How much money is that worth? You can't put a price tag on a moment like this. During the trophy presentation, Jeannie. I told Jenny when I came here that I was gonna put this franchise back in the position where it belongs. Her late. Great father did it for so many years and she just took it on after that, and For me to be a part of such a historical franchises. It's unbelievable feeling not only for myself, but for my teammates for the organization for the coaches for the trainers, everybody that's here. We just want our respect. Robinson's respect Coach Vogel Warner's respect. Organization. What they respect Laker nation won't they respect and I want my damn respect to if you don't think that's worth 85 mil. Then you don't understand business, their business that brand their pride that legacy. I mean, you could pass that hat among Laker fans and come up with way more than 85 mil. To pay that guy again as a

Elliot Page to continue role on ‘The Umbrella Academy after coming out as trans

"A show on Netflix called the umbrella academy and it's already in its second season, apparently, and on that show, Ellen Page. Now, Elliot Page has played the role of Vanya Hargreaves, who is a cyst, Gender, lesbian and a cyst. Gender lesbian is essentially a woman. Who is a biological woman, and also identifies as as a woman. But who is a lesbian? So so it's a lesbian. Right? It's a lesbian. Who, and that is the role that Ellen Page has been playing. And so now, people rightfully have asked, isn't it? Isn't it appropriate? Then that Elliot Page give up that role for someone who actually is a cyst? Gender lesbian? Because, as you know, there have been lots of people who have had to give up. Trans roles because they are not trans Scarlett Jo Hanson, For example, she had to pull out of playing a transgender role in a movie called Robin Tug, and 2018 worry. I know what was the name E was hoping that you wouldn't pick up on that. That's the actual name of the movie. It's the actual name of right and Halle Berry was also considering playing a trans man. And then backed out because she got so much criticism for it. And she was like, Oh, God, I'm not gonna do that. I need to be an ally to the LGBT community. So if that's the case of these are the rules, then why does Elliot page get to continue to play? Lesbian woman. So that look from sitting here in my straight male perspective, which I realized disqualifies me from ever commenting on anything, but I'm gonna I'm gonna take a stab at it here on these flamethrower radio airwaves that go from Ohio, Illinois. It's I don't care what you do right? You do you as long as there's a harmony. What one else you call yourself whatever you want to, But it's society now forces me to embrace it. And celebrated and right. And if you don't not only embrace it, but celebrate it, then you're a bad person. I don't care what you do, but I'm not throwing you a parade or making special rules just for you. And I and I agree with you, and I also think it's absolutely fine for Ellen Elliot whoever to play to continue to play whatever character He was he was playing. But don't then turn around and say that Halle Berry can't play a trans man like that. Either. We have the rules or we don't have the rules. But we can't have a bunch of rules that on Lee apply to some people some of the time and that's what's so crazy And this conversation is important because it's a part of a broader thing that government does all facets of life where the government picks the winners. And the losers, whether it's tax policy or freedoms and liberties or abilities to do things, it's an important conversation because this happens all the time. We weren't equal people. There are winners and losers in all facets of our existence. And this is a just a great example of that. Do whatever the hell you want to do. Call yourself whatever the hell you want to call yourself, but you are not special. Exactly. That's exactly right. And I think that you know some of the people that are asking these questions, and they're I think they're right to ask the questions because it's it's fair to ask. But others are saying Well, straight. People don't ever have to worry about losing out roles, toe trans people, and so that's why this is different. No Either. There are rules or there aren't rules, period. Let's

3 Strategies to Power your Profits with Susie Carder

"Everyone to the intelligence of podcast. Today i have the pleasure of interviewing and speaking with suzy. Carter welcome susie thank you thanks for having me and thank you for being who you are in the industry and being just a bad ass leader making happen. I am as static to speak with you. Another schedules like super busy. And i had the opportunity to meet you about four years ago at speaking right and i was thinking man. I really liked the chance to chat with her. But at the time there were so many people crowded around you. You're just finished talking about prophets which is part of our conversation today. Yes having this opportunity to kind of continue a conversation that i wanted to have altogether is like a real real blessing for me. So thank you for being on our show. You're welcome this my jam. I love talking about profit and helping coaches authors. Riders entrepreneurs make money because their strategy. And i don't know about you. But when i started i didn't the strategy right. Fifteen percent of our financial successes base our technical ability. So that's the vocation that you're in so it's kind of scary when you think of only fifteen percent of how you get paid as the work you do. The eighty five percent is our sales. Our marketing operations. Finance right is how we do the work now. I have to be amazed at my fifteen percent. I got to be good and my fifteen percent. But if i'm not focused on that eighty percent i'll never make money. That's why you see people who have been in business for ten years but they haven't really grown. I say you don't have ten years of experience. I say one year of experience repeating at ten times. I'm sorry that heard. I'm sorry. But i tell you 'cause i didn't know bright so my goal is to help you know an uncover. What's your genius. what's your gift. How do we monetize that. Because when you to monetize your gift you never work a day again. This is my job right now. Come on how fun is this. It's fun for me. Some people the number one fear in life is is public. Speaking number two is death by fire. Yom rather burn in hell. Then come and speak live. I'm just a little cuckoo. i'm the crazy white. You're on you know what one of the things about your speaking style. That's the thing that made me wanna talk with you because it was so direct until the point. We just really what i prefer in so before we get into power your prophets. I wanna talk a little bit about your grit story ammo flip it a little bit from what i usually do in. Start with my question which is grid on. My podcast stands for grace resilience integrity in tenacity When you eat about your story yes your career with the salon is spine all the work you've done with motivating the masses and all of these other training development businesses. You've grown which one of those words were nate with you. The most and tell me why. Why integrity is huge for me right when i look at. I believe that the degree of your aliveness is to the degree of your integrity. What i mean by that. I mean that if you were pretending to be something that you're not you're adam untidy and people can see it. People can feel it off thing. You know you've seen speakers you've seen business people like she's nice and all but there's something i don't know what it is and so integrity is like dirty laundry. You can clean it all day long and then by the evening you're gonna put dirty underwear dirty clothes in the laundry basket. That's integrity right. I can try all day long to be have a level inheriting. I might say something to offend somebody. So it's my job to clean it up and so it's part of my value system. I'm not saying i'm perfect. I'm not saying how the down on the time. I saved dumb stuff. Because i don't know what i don't know but i'm willing to clean it up and win your business if you can have a high level integrity and fall on the sword quicker faster rate people get upset when clients are upset and they wanna make the client run the rallies on the store. Just clean it up. People respect that

"None we've ever seen before. But one front line doctor knows something about tough battles. We get more now from CBS's Carter Evans. Was a quick shot taking in its Lucy got a goal for the opposite sex during her professional soccer career. Rachel Buehler Van Hollen, Beck's competed in the World Cup and earned two Olympic gold medals. Now, instead of dribbling the ball, she juggles patients at a San Diego area hospital. I don't want to be like a fearful person, but it is a very, very real disease, and it is very dangerous. Every patient encounter you're prepared in case somebody has called a positive medicine is in Rachel's blood. She follows three generations of doctors, including her father, and now even her little sister. It just makes me feel proud. You know that I had a family that has really given a lot back to society to humanity and caring for people. Now, Dr Van Hollaback is a role model in two fields. The first level of excellence. What Is Wrong With Carson Wentz:

"Philly eagles and seahawks and birds and other birds only one type heading south carson wentz again trying to prove a starter status again coming up short another interception adding to his league-leading totally was also six. Times is back backup. Jalen hurts saw just to blaze last night. We'll have much more on him in just a second but first eagles get the win. Here's carson winston after last night's loss to seattle. There's been a lot of talk and speculation. You possibly getting benched or something like that. I mean does that way on you at all. Do you think about that at all. And that occurred during the game. Any of that. Come up. i mean. I said that last week you know this is what you sign up for as a quarterback member. Since you're a kid you know you're prepared for for any of those nothing's ever guaranteed and so for me i. I don't think about that though. I just try and go out and be the best player. I can be in practice. Prepare my tail off. Compete my tail off and You know hopefully we can get this thing turned around but I think about those things. I might give it everything i got every time i step on the field. I think i said the eagles went. Obviously the seahawks won there and carson wentz with the barrage of questions about his plane time plane status plane brandon start with you did carson wentz play well enough to keep his starting job moving forward. Well i mean i hell. Mary was nice. i mean how. How often do we see that at all. He but outside of that. Mary no he. He didn't play well. The coaches the coach. Well defense didn't play well enough. This is one of those years. Nick where everybody needs to be on notice when you play like this and miss division everyone should be on notice and then you can go back to last couple years outside of their super bowl. Run it's always been a struggle for this organization. If i'm the owner. I am looking at everything. I'm looking at the general managers there's other gaps. There's other holes on this team is not just carson wentz. it's also the linebacking core and it's not that the linebacking core isn't playing. Well they're just not very good they don't have any debt so with that mind like you gotta talk about. Who's making those decisions. And you got to hold them accountable. So this entire organization. Mic should be on notice at listen. I think might garafolo is the one who reported this morning that he can no longer report. That doug peterson is totally save. Despite being just three years removed from actually winning a super bowl something carson wentz is not able to say. He did what that means for our rose. One of the front office will see. And you're right brandon. This is a team that has a multitude of issues but their biggest issue is this in twenty twenty the worst starting quarterback in football now. That's not a statement of opinion. That's just if according to the numbers we can show them. The worst fulltime starting quarterback in the nfl is carson wentz and the spat back that up one hundred percent. He's thirty fifth worse in everything. And there's only thirty two teams folks and he is a turnover machine he runs into sacks he doesn't make the big throws anymore. There's been one game all year long that he didn't turn the ball over and in that game. He fumbled twice. They just happened to recover them so it does feel however wildlife carson wentz might be the one with the most job security because of the contract. He's been signed to based on performance. You have a twenty eight a guy that's going to be twenty eight this month. He's in year five and he's playing the worst football of his career. That is more than a sign for his future. But do you think that's all of his fault nick. Because morning i wake up. And i make a little menu and i called my my kitchen. Where do my work hot take cafe and on today's menu. Here's what we had. You can make your choice. Everyone you can have bad coaching with a side of bad. Play design you can have bad decision. Making with a side of bad throws you could have bad wide receivers and bad protection. Those your options at the take cafe for me. I want went bad protection. I went with the six acts. We're not his fault. The league leading forty six x also. Not his fault he also had some throwaways there and i was watching the game last night neck and i was like oh the one when he was chased out of the pocket to avoid an intentional grounding. He threw it to the first down. Even though it came up short i was like. Oh that's a. That's a good play. That's a quarterback you can build around. I'm like what what is happening. I'm calling a throw to save even intentional grounding a good play and he could say like. I don't put it on the offensive line. Louis riddick mentioned it last night when they went to the super bowl best offensive line surprise surprise. Takeout carson wentz put. Nick foles doesn't matter to me. It starts with the offensive line. I know there's a lot of side dishes but it's an offensive line thing for me.

Rita Ora sorry for birthday party that broke lockdown rules

"Now for some breaking news. Was she wary. Where was she seen she posted. Why on instagram. Who clean gone too long pause. What's rita ora up to. Who is this woman. We've never done this before we've never opened with what's read or up switching the order of the show were doing top down instead of bottom up. No we're doing bottom up top down bottom up and as we've said a few times in the past month or so rita's back to normal. You know the world isn't back to normal but reed is back to normal. Were sitting about it and yet now i'm like regret now like we jumped the thrill she was getting. We were thrilled. That she was getting The same number of headlines that she used to get however we didn't want her to get these types of headlines. Oh no this is very bad. So celebrated bad parts. Don't throw your own bad party. It's funny because when. When i saw that she was turning thirty i felt a little pang of leg odds tube-like turning thirty like this time like that's that's more rain could feel bad. Yeah for somebody who loves to party. She loves to party but she something happened here. And she's now in a lotta deep water. She's on the cover of the sun so when she turned thirty. This is what we thought on. Saturday night was at saturday night. That her she posted at thirtieth birthday video that her team made her. Were all these important people in her. Life mcwhirter happy birthday. Big jazz. host of it was just so many people i mean. It's dozens of pete. That's what we thought we were going to be talking about today. That's exactly what o our michael caine star studded video incredible. Here's who's in it. We identified a lot of these people even though it was very difficult and then and then this happened sunday night. We'll saturday night. saturday night. Rada had a birthday party that was like a fake up or they. So i think that a lot of people are doing this and this is not just celebrities. This is normal people. They're showing the world one thing on instagram than they're doing something entirely different offense to graham serena showed me beth so rita showed a thirtieth birthday party that was very small and cute in her apartment in her flat. There were balloons on the ceiling. She watched the video. You could tell there. Were a couple other voices in there. She showed this big spread of desserts and it was like look at this cake. I'm gonna eat it all by myself. Ha ha ha. So it's very like this is how i'm celebrating in these times. But she also had a thirtieth birthday party at a fancy restaurant in notting hill. Yeah and it looks like she just hossack rented the space definitely because there were people bringing in liquor and ice and so it looks like she just rented the space and had over thirty people. And it's apparently against the law to even have like more than one person outside of your household and there are more. Their lockdown laws are more We have some to here. But there's more and they're more will get you your name. They're more like actually taking this seriously but also like they should take rita ora doing this more seriously than anyone because again. She's a public figure. And this shit's going to get photographed. What i'm confused about. And i wonder what you think is like. Did somebody call the paparazzi. Like who how. What's the deal with that like. There were lots of photos or photos of the cops getting there and being like What's going on in here. You know like literally. They had photos of the whole shebang. People going in people going out. Rita going in rena going out and i just wonder like for rita we've already said like. Oh you know. She calls the paparazzi. But like you wouldn't call the paparazzi on your own like a legal birthday when you're doing something like flagrantly illegal but this dead. Maybe not someone whether it was someone at the restaurant a neighbor because it doesn't look like these people they're like they're actually sneaking and they're going back doors like it doesn't look like they wanted anywhere right there and also looks it also looks late as hell like it doesn't look. It doesn't look just like nighttime. It looks like it's late really fucking stupid like i. Not that. I want people to like you know flout these rules or whatever but it just looks. They did it. The stupidest way that i could imagine doing this type of kind of activity Are photos all over the son of like police officer showing up in peering into windows. They're blurry paparazzi time photos of her sister and that guy vast morgan showing up with arm. Loads of prospero tequila articulate brand. Poppy delevingne kara levin. A lot of people. I can't recognize among the thirty so if we have photos of those we have photos of the people people knew you know but there are twenty eight other people who weren't photograph because i guess they weren't important enough to be photographed. Her hat to have photographs. Patty love to identify those people. So according to the loss this is what it says in the guardian england's national lockdown which ends on tuesday which is like ria you could of waited it's against the law to meet more than person you do not live with acceptance specific circumstances. Police have the power to break up gatherings issue fines of up to ten thousand pounds for breaches of regulations so she just voluntarily pay according to the sun this morning. She just voluntarily paid ten thousand pounds. She was like you know what. Here's the money police. Stay away from me. I'm so sorry alone. She's on the cover of the sun with a mask on in a big firm furnish coat that says read a party. Cheater was a really good. That was a really good line in the sun that said bang out of ora. Rita ora slammed she flouts lockdown laws. With thirty thousand. I was like bang out of something. Must be a british slang and it is. It's bang out of order which means someone is like acting a mess acting fool. You're being unreasonable. Your bang out of order posted a apology already on instagram winch. Is you know she said hello. I attended a small gathering with you through the gathering rita. You through the party. It was it was a spur of the moment decision. No it wasn't. It was a party that you through a birthday party made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown. This would be okay. You were but few days later. Sorry i've commentary for all this. I'm deeply sorry raking the rules and intern understand that. This put people at risk. This was a serious inexcusable. Error of judgement given the restrictions. I realize how responsibilities actions and i take full responsibility. I feel particularly embarrassed knowing firsthand. How hard people have worked to combat this terrible illness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to help. Keep us all safe. Even though. this won't make it right. I want to sincerely apologize.

Where the College Football Playoff stands after Week 13

"Has set, you know on January 1st, um It doesn't sound like they get. They're gonna push off of that Rose Bowl, all the Sugar bowl or you two semifinal sites on Then you got the natty, you know. Two weeks later on on Monday, January 11th down at the Orange Bowl. Esso at hard Rock Stadium in my and Miami Flash, Fort Lauderdale. It doesn't sound like they're gonna move, Freddie. Um oh, that sounds like they're They are going to stick right with that that that schedule and they really don't have a ton of wiggle room. But remember it When it comes to those four teams. If a team does get a hit with covert of the four qualifying semifinalists, they will not move Number five in They will try and figure out a way to play the game. And then that comes into your point of then do you have to try to postpone it? Yeah. Why not a bubble environment. If you college football something, everything. Good night off the table. Well, you know if your college football are you ruling willing to risk Having a potential college ball player and then two teams get infected. Havoc over 19 breakout happened and then you don't have a council of playoff. I know they may be tough to pay for it. New restrictions in Santa Clara force 49ers to practice and play elsewhere

"Look at. What's going on with the san francisco. Forty niners all right. They're not san francisco there. Santa clara and santa clara county has decided in their infinite wisdom out there in california where you know they get hit with coconuts on the head. I think that they're no longer going to allow contact. Sports take place over the next three weeks which includes two forty nine or home games which also includes them practicing now. The forty niners had no idea about this until they landed in l. a. to play the rams yesterday and by the way. The rams did that call shannon's pretty good coat. I can't figure those rams out. Nick mullins man we're team what's diaz Deebo samuel samya so anyway day now are nomad team. And i think they're probably going to go to arizona to be able to go into their own separate bubble now because of santa clara county who they don't really get along with anyway because there's arguments over the stadium and who's paying what and everything else idiots okay the. Nfl is controlling this whole thing which they have. No no no no no no no no. We're talking about can't control even finish my sentence if the nfl is controlling the whole covid situation. And they've got their own protocols and everything else why the hell does the county have to come in and stop this thing because they're moroney politicians that's why don't you understand way to make it difficult for the team that is trying to play games. During season pay taxes in your county withdrew its players and through. Whatever else means. They're making any sort of money so california. What's the advantage here for these. These moron politicians that you say got hit in the head with coconuts i have. I have no idea what the advantage is gonna be seinfeld. I don't live in california. it's the most beautiful state in the union. And it's run by a bunch of morons. But i have no idea what the tell you. Why would they do. Why i guess you know. And there's also friction between the team and the county and i know why they're there. I understand why they're doing it because they want to stem the tide of the virus. Meanwhile the virus has been growing out there like crazy no matter what they do. Why is there friction between an nfl team in the county because of the money that i'm sure the county has to pay to the nfl team. In order to build a stadium there. I know that hamilton county. Cincinnati hamilton county and cincinnati. Gave the bengals everything they wanted to stay in cincinnati. If you remember. Mike brown the owner of the bengals visited baltimore before the browns visited baltimore to kind of like shake things up in the county that is hamilton county cincinnati. You know the kind of leverage the ability to move to another city to get what they wanted from the city of cincinnati or the county of hamilton. And if you remember santa clara county was being used against san francisco candlestick park was and everything else in the leverage and where we move into and all this other stuff and county politics and it's tax subsidies for billionaires which socks i understand that but they built the stadium i feel is gonna tell pro football team. Who has a yen that they have to play under these strict protocols that they can't play in their own stadium. Because you're just being putz a yeah. I don't think this is gonna stick. I bet you we get some news in the next couple of days and they change their mind on this. That's what i call shanahan. Basically look we we get la and the first question that is being asked of me by sixty men on my team are what are we doing. I got families. We got families in santa clara. We got we lived there. Were you know we should we. We moving somewhere going somewhere for the month of december by the way the month december. What does it include christmas. I mean so. This is like they're gonna change takes up. They're going to change. It doesn't make any sense either the fact that. There's no other reason for them to be doing this. And how do you think they're going to change. Clara county felt last year when their san francisco forty niners will come to the super bowl probably rolling in it. They loved it right. Oh my goodness politicians put on there. george kittle jerseys. And they were all touching each other at cutler. Couldn't wait to go to games or couldn't wait to be seen. They couldn't wait to all the crap but now now here you are a year later and now you would've thought they would. They would come out with something that said. Look if you are. If you're protecting high schools and colleges all right. i understand that you know. Those players do not have unions protecting their back by wednesday. It'll be done. you think so. Just like that someone's gotta gotta wipe it away it's gonna wipe it away this enough of this so bad i what happens if governor murphy does that the jets and the giants not gonna this. This thing is not going to go or or governor cuomo decides to issue a decree says the buffalo bills can't play football in the same right. He's not doing all really he's not doing it. He's not doing at governor. Murphy's not doing it in the santa clara things not going to happen. Watch watch by wednesday. It'll be over. Maybe by today is just too stupid. There's certain things are stupid. They just can't survive really can't it's got no likes. Maybe we're stupid. We're not stupid makes no sense. This thing is so stupid. it's got no legs now. If you would've told me it goes nano. Legs guys got legs. It has no last legs. If you wanna told me there was a legitimate reason why they were doing this. Outside of their own pettiness. They are trying to style the virus. This is not going to single handedly. Defeat corona virus. If they go practice arizona go go tell. A politician was to tell you how to live. Your life have what to do how they're going to get rid of this. They're going to do it. They've been they've california's been shut down literally since the beginning of all this and they still have rising cases so what could is the shutdown doing. Yeah i mean it doesn't seem like it's working. I just think that this is the forty niners. Somebody's jerry rice gonna make a phone call somebody who send just signed helmet reverse happening. Remember when the blasi was getting involved. With steve cohen. All took a little bit of this little fourteen. You need over here. You want this thing to be. Take this that that's all it's going to be someone. Call up joe montana jerry. Rice somebody will call up. And then they'll pay seventy eight is a pay off your right yeah yeah yes bloodsucking criminal. This is what you get that. That's what happened. It always happens that way.

IRS Says Its Own Error Sent $1,200 Stimulus Checks To Non-Americans Overseas

"Now. Earlier this year, our team of reporters discovered that stimulus money from the first coronavirus relief package had been mistakenly sent to citizens off other countries. U. S government previously blamed the recipients for that error. But as Sasha Pfeiffer from our NPR investigations, team reports, the Iris now says those non Americans were not always at fault and the mistake Is likely to happen again, if more stimulus checks go out. Suzanne Wig force is a 78 year old citizen of Sweden, who lives in the country's capital, Stockholm, and over the summer, she was surprised to get a check in the mail from the United States Treasury, followed by a letter signed by President Donald J. Trump. And he says the White House Washington You lied. 31st. Your economic impact payment has arrived. My fellow American. It was a stimulus check for $1200. And I thought I can't believe it. They're sending it to me. Why? I mean, it's crazy, isn't it? It's crazy, she says, because she is not entitled to that money. The only people eligible for stimulus checks are U. S citizens and individuals that for tax purposes, the iris calls resident aliens. Suzanne. Weak force is neither of those now. Previously, the U. S government said the reason many non citizens mistakenly received checks is they filed incorrect tax returns that made them appear to be American. But weak force does not file a U. S tax return. Asked about this by NPR, The Iris now acknowledges that some non Americans erroneously receive stimulus money through no fault of their own. I'm just upset. I love American. This is so wrong because I saw that number of people were being evicted every month in Chicago, for instance, and I thought One of those families would have needed this stimulus check. Why should a Swedish citizen living abroad received $1200? The iris now says it mistakenly sent checks to some non citizens who receive Social Security and other federal benefits. People like WIG force. She receives a small social security payment from having worked in California for several years. And she believes that's why the iris erroneously sent her a stimulus check. I'm not gonna cash it. I'm just going to leave it here. There's no way I'm going to catch this money. It doesn't belong to me. Since Congress passed its coronavirus relief package in March, the U. S government has put no mechanisms in place to prevent these mistakes from happening again. That means if a new relief plan passes in the final weeks of the Trump administration or during the Biden administration, and if it includes more stimulus payments, some of that money is again likely to mistakenly end up in mailboxes overseas. Weak force is even likely to get another check how much money is leading out from the Treasury Department? Because of these similares checks. I wonder, the U. S. Government cannot answer that question. The Treasury did find that as of late May, $34 million in stimulus had gone to people who filed a tax return with a foreign address. But that includes eligible people like US citizens living abroad, and it does not include citizens of other countries who received a check at a U. S address. For example, NPR interview to citizen of the Dominican Republic who was not eligible, he had got a check at his former address in Massachusetts. At $34 Million also does not include people like WIG Force who got a check but don't file a U. S tax return at all. I think the poor folks in the iris don't have the bandwidth to go chasing this end. A. Kelleher is a vice president at Sprint tax, which does us tax preparation for nonresidents. It'd be great if they did, because I believe that there's millions of dollars that has gone to people that went entitled to it. Certainly not the intended recipients. Spring tax has clients from about 150 countries who mistakenly received stimulus check. Ex. Kelleher said the most common were India, China, South Korea, Vietnam and the United Kingdom, as well as numerous nations in Latin America. It's awful when we hear of millions of dollars going into the wrong hands, but was probably within a somewhat acceptable threshold of error or margin of error acceptable, he said, because Congress opted for speed over accuracy when it flooded the U. S economy with money last spring. Many non Americans who received a check and error are now trying to return it because they worry it will jeopardize their visa or immigration status. Course. There's equally thousands there is saying, Well, if they were silly enough to make this mistake, it's their mistake, and I'm not gonna give it back until they ask for it. Van Shockley falls in that category. He's 74 years old and was born in Pennsylvania. But he moved to Australia after becoming disillusioned with US politics in the 19 sixties. I had always been depressed when JFK was killed. I just couldn't get over that. So I started looking for someplace else start all over. So he gave up his U. S citizenship and has now been an Australian citizen for about a half century. His last trip to the U. S. Was 40 years ago. But he to receive stimulus money even though he's not eligible for it and does not file a U. S tax return. That was a waste together. My check the mail. Love pulled out a check. Federal Reserve Treasury thingamajig along with the eagle on that it's made out to me. What's the sum of America? What the hell's going on here? Why am I getting a check from the government? Just like Suzanne Wig Force in Sweden? Van Shockley in Australia suspects he mistakenly got a check because he receives Social Security from having worked in the U. S before moving overseas. First I thought it was a joke. And then I went down to the bank says Can you do some way of verifying that this is legal and the girl come back after five minutes. This is it's legal. You got the milling. Thank you, ma'am. I didn't ask for the money. I didn't expect any money. But as soon as I got us stuck into the bank, he ain't getting it back. Shockley attributes the mist ake two U. S. Government incompetence, complete stupidity. Just not doing their job properly. U S. Treasury officials said they are quote continuing to assess the accuracy of the stimulus program and the recovery efforts for any erroneous payments. In the meantime, they told NPR the Iris is relying on individuals to voluntarily return these payments. Sasha five for NPR News.

But the sees formidable power was never truly there's for beneath its depths lived a creature that could upend the vikings world with a single thrash of his tail. His name was your main gonder in norse mythology. Your men gondar is the son of the trickster spirit loki and the giant tests angra boda. He's the middle child of a monstrous brewed. People Fear What They Dont Know

"People being afraid of things that they don't understand. Yeah that's that's a great topic because in industry when you're talking to other land investors you've you certain types of jargon and a lot of times we don't remember that the public doesn't understand that type of jargon so we can use that to our advantage in some situations but it hurts us in more situations than not for instance. I know you're like okay. What do you mean by that. I could see the look on your face. After i was just i was gonna ask her an example exam so like on a on a by side. Yeah we've got to do all the paperwork for that affidavit airship you know. It's going to be really tough to get this through. But you're working with the pros. This is what we are made to do. We can get that taken care of because getting a title were cleaned up and everything. It's tough but you're working with the right team to get this done. Let's signed a purchase agreement. Let me get it done well. It's laugh at airships. Just a page They just gotta know somebody. That's not making money off this and they can sign it. Not a big deal. But they don't know that they think it's as big ordeal to get all this stuff done and we know it is what it is. Yeah yeah i mean. I feel like the more you know about a subject the more you can talk yourself out of a cell okay. I'm a big opponent of less is more like i want them to be the talker. If i'm trying to sell some land. I'll just give them the bare minimum. I don't wanna be if. I catch myself talking too much. I feel like i'm losing it already. Okay and so. That's why like the best ads. i've ever run or just just enough to get them excited. When i'm selling land. I'm i don't know man go check it out like don't ask me. It's the same like when you're trying to get someone to join the education you want someone to sell themselves on a basically right and so i don't know sometimes you see these. Ads like listing ads or whatever they're a mile long. I'm bored halfway through it on. Probably moving on at that point. Yeah no i get that. And so the flip side of that. When i when you say that i think of ads where we put so much information in it and you start using terminology that in like oh shit as an investor. I'm scared because i don't know what it is and i don't want to seem dumb for asking. I'm not gonna ask them. Do you just said and move on. And that's the that's one of those things for me that there's a fine balance in what we can provide. You wanna be knowledgeable topic to talk to it to make sure that they're they're comfortable with it but also in a way that you're dumbing it down to the person's level of comprehension. Yeah if you're talking about things that only a land investor or i don't know anything real real estate professional real estate consultant If you're talking about the things that only those people can relate to than you've missed your target on people's is already glazed over you know and you don't want that you want them to stay excited about it. Let their imagination run wild and in my experience. The only way to let that happen is just give enough information feed. Don't lie to him and don't leave things out but you're leading them in a direction to let their mind wander beautiful forty acre property. It's got. It's got a nice meadow in some trees. There's a perfect place to build your cabin. I do see this a lot to with them when you talk like say for example. While i'm i'll use our education that goes ample right someone. We talked to hear it. They sound great right. We're obviously we're not lying about the stuff we're doing it every day. it will. Then they tell their friends who have never heard of. This are never done this now. The sudden they're friends start talking way down. There's no no way in hell. This works or scam artist. Right that happens with land to buy forty acres out in the middle of nowhere for fifteen thousand dollars. Nah no way it has to be. Nobody's going to tell you that. That's and that's like you hit the nail on header. Go look at it. Tell me what you think. Let me know when you're ready to make an offer. You just did that. I did it on the phone goes. Hey man you got this. This differ seventeen thousand dollars a year. It's up next to some. Bela is gonna hunt on it. Yes you can. It's yours to hunt on. Plus you got the land on all right next to you. Okay cool well. Can i make an offer. Have you looked at the property. It will no. But i was thinking about going but i i want to know if the owner will make an offer while i'm the owner telling you go look at it. Make sure what you want and then shoot me an offer. Let's talk about it. Okay actually made an offer right then. Yeah yeah we'll take that let's go. Let's say money on a deal. I was about to jump in now. He he doesn't have any land there. But i do say size. Do you have something here right now. I've got someone who's defaulted. They'll make the payment. They've i find the my most default for the entire year are october-november really. I don't know people are trying to save for christmas. Save or they spent that money on christmas stuff. But i mean. I've got a maybe a third or late right now. Wow i don't have anything late right now but i did give my people that were a little bit trouble. People i gave them a breakthrough kovic so already know that they were three months behind. I have one guy. He's starting a business having a shift bank account so he asked me if you could send me he. He only had cash for some jobs did and he is like. We're gonna send me cash birthday card. "Morning. Hope your oh well. Today i was asked to give it to accompany. Osan suzuki sig aki halloween. Slash day dead. The dead ceremony. And whenever whenever. I think sermons. They usually look at it from the outside and how. He viewed from from the view of society but again. That's just really my projection on on Ceremony the kid. I never really liked ceremony. And i didn't. I didn't really understand it in seeing human beings. Though i've seen that we need something to sort of help. Gather on minds together to to either face up to Difficulties or to face up to rites of passage or to face to our responsibilities that we have in in in in this life you know ceremonies usually no come from From nowhere they just remember. Recently i was reading Somebody's views on on ceremony. How they how they have. They looked today and for me. It really really didn't really show the spirit of Ceremony you know if you look at the words you know. Obviously the english was ceremony. It comes from the latin would carry monia to kill or if you look at the would ritual. It means to make right. How do you. How do you do that as a human being this a very tricky thing and then i don't think i want to spend the entire period of time so that going over the ceremony thing but i wanted to read a koan or at least parts of cohen which to me is is what a ceremony is an bookmark there on one. No go get attention emperor. She could asked national teacher. Chew one hundred years after you die what would you. What would you wish the national teacher said. Build me a simple. A seamless to seamless monument. So you may you may wonder what is this seamless monument to me really is it is the heart. It's the heart to practice. You know what. What is that Well really's the the desire to really appreciate this. Life may be starting off with. How do i and suffering. It could be you know. How do i reveal the mysteries of of this. Life could be you know how. How do i help people to to appreciate this life. I'm now ceremony deals with this. It it you know. A hundred years In many ways will maybe not remember the The attainment of massive this day but we will remember the heart the tends to continue through the approaches to to practice. Now this. this oldham's are need that we we've done. It goes back to the buddhist time where Apparently mouthed ileana the black magician who had to work awful lot of karma his. His mother apparently had this vision of his mother hanging upside down in help which is not the greatest thing i guess you know so Yes the balance in the buddhist said well brealey practice very strongly. We'll get everybody in this in in the Training whole to practice very strongly to and at the end will dedicate the merits to to to her and so they do this in practice. Very strongly in at the end of the training period then the mentally on using his supernatural powers. Goes back down to hell and finds that his mother is no longer hanging upside down in house. But it's been released you know. Maybe she's right way out now but at least it worked and and you know what in whatever way that's one and that's also important in terms of say a daily a daily practice one this maintained is that feeling for this is very important and the people that are around us again on on a mom to basis the second thing with that. Is you know. Many of those. Do have an idea of attainment a maintaining that attainment then holding onto that talent one thing that this particular On does is this. The ceremony does is the. How does it feel to give that away. If it's possible to do that house. It really feel to to get away. Whatever mary you have like. It doesn't mean anything i mean. If you can. That's great you know. Also looking at that is that what does he mean to give everything. Though i feel any different for me it really doesn't. I can hold onto feel and this way i retain this. I've done all of these things and i can list them and go into a lot better not to have it even there. You know slutty go let it let it be is

"I don't think Jesus would go through the trouble of. Saying. Calling Satan his uncle, and then having to explain to people like. My uncle. The couple of glasses of wine you just WanNa. That's By your chatty. Right. Yeah. When Jesus we get chatty I got the impression. Jesus is kind of always chatty. Yeah I mean that's how he got spread the word somehow. Yeah exactly and you do it through chatting. Selling your soul. That was another way that. Way. That cartoons set me on the wrong path 'cause that's more of a metaphor I guess right if you if you. Achieve your dreams or the things you want through Duplicitous. Means yet just. Evil ways. That will send you to hell. It's not actually a contract that you signed with the devil related. It literally never occurred to me that it's a metaphor. But it does make a lot of sense as a metaphor. Also when I was in fifth grade. skin make less billy was bad kid kind of. Did he have a near experience where he went to hell no, but he told. Her teacher like you're talking like the devil came up, I think somebody in class ass like he what's the deal with the devil? Billy's subject was being taught at. Great. You know we're all trying to figure things out. Of the Weird Kid Algebra Solorio maybe we science class or something. Okay. Well, that makes a lot more learning about animals. Somebody's like. That all real and. Billy's like, yeah, he is. My parents. Told me he? He has all these minions that come these little law yellow guys no no no not I shouldn't have said Manian TD. Okay. Said like assistance or helpers or something. Right he claimed at all these demons came up these little red demons. In there, watching you all the time for you to do bad things and if you do bad things, they go back until like an Elf on the shelf for the devil right. Right. Well that's literally. That's a great great great thing to instill in your kid exactly and you know when you have a bad kid and you're trying everything energy. All right. Well, the devil's always watching you. He's got these these little demons that are always around watching you, and if you're not good, you're GonNa, go to hell like that. That sounds like a last resort of Billy's parents right? And then some bought it hook line and stinker he did and he was freaking telling the whole class. Middle. Of a science lesson. was like, is that true to our teacher teacher like didn't want to undermine the parenting style of in like in also like, Hey, if he finds out the devil watching. Let's get a lot harder to teach. This is how he acts when he thinks the devils keeping a close eye on them. Imagine if he thinks it's false. Some my neighbors paying on the wall. Now Screaming I maybe it's the devil. Of Screaming. Temples. I just I just WANNA why I'm whispering out the whisper I just saw you like jump look behind you and I got so legitimately scared that like That a little demon was behind you and you you're gonNa tell me like Tom, we have to end that the so I'll tell you later. Oh. Well I'm glad to hear just your annoyed neighbor instead. Yeah. We've been recording this here for I don't know I moved in and May. Every weekend they just been like so upset with me. Maybe. There's like you're about the devil Tim. Yeah, there's. A teacher teacher was like, yeah that's true about the devil. Wow, that's that's not nice to do all of the other kids no no, not at all. Yeah. Scared me for like I. Don't know. A couple of weeks. So parents sitting there were like, no stout the billy's bad kid. His stole them as a last resort. Rea-, go to hell before the plugs are after the plugs. Let's go after the PUCK I don't know how we're going to go to hell my neighbor. You know for GonNa. Be doing a lot of screaming I thought. "Yeah. What's the next myth? There's a widespread belief among non-christians that hell is a place where they will be united with their unbelieving. And drink beer all the time it is endless party. The fact is that Hell is a place of utter isolation loneliness in deprivation. So you're not, you're just completely alone down. Yeah, that well, but you know what? If like I'm kind of an introvert Tim, I like being alone. Yes exactly. What if you get down there some peace and quiet your exactly and you can just you know sit there and read books guess what they have all the books. But guess what your glasses are broken man I don't wear glasses though but I know women hell you'll need them in how Wow or they'll force though they'll. Put strong reading glasses on your eyes I can't take off and they'll give me headaches when I'm trying to read. Yeah that's. Bad, it'll be like coke bottle lenses. what was that myth again? That it. Other isolates. That that's fine, you get to hang out with non-christians and drink beer all the time. Yeah. But the thing is. And they should have included non Christians and heavy metal bands of all denomination, right? And temporarily podcast who said are going down just to see what it's all about well, Tim game I read that the idea that Hell is temporary is a myth. Why did read that? You can never be led out of hell but again I don't I don't know who to believe Tom Kaz. You have them saying one thing and then you have freaking slayers they in another thing. Yeah it's tough to it's tough to sort it out. Yeah. One of the other myths that I ever had Which I which made me laugh because I was like I've never heard this myth and the myth is. That hell won't be that bad. I've heard that. Well I. Guess That's kind of what you think. You think hells I gotta be that bad no, I. Don't I don't have any definitive beliefs about health I just feel like there's no. There's no consistent source of information about Hell. That We. Talk at the inconsistent sources, you're referring to be metal bands and cartoons and Satanists, and say, well. I assure Crowley. I think sadness are like, yeah this is fine. The yeah whatever. Like for everybody, but it's for me. I like getting nail shift in yeah. I Don I don't think seat are out there saying like, oh, everybody's making too much of a fuss hell is fine. They're like no hells hardcore man and that's why I'm a satanist. You know that some people believe alister. Crowley. Who We should do episode on sometime Haunted by him along I don't WanNa get haunted but there's a lot of people that think he's responsible for all these ufo's and aliens that he that He. He broke through the dimensions Tam with all of his you know. Rituals and stuff and opened up a gate between us another dimension 'cause he he met this this guy called the lamb I think and his drawing of this guy looks just like one of them a grey aliens. Just food for thought. Yeah. Really think I think people that think hell isn't that bad probably just don't think about how 'cause I walk around thinking like Hell it's not that bad but then. Today when I was thinking about Hell it's like Oh. What would help you like for me? I was like Oh. Yeah. It could be real bad. Here's my question to you is hell personalized to each person I think. So now why what makes you think that that's Yeah. That's cartoons I. Guess That's that's the simpsons. Pig Yeah. I guess it doesn't have to be I guess if it's like real bad. If it's just like they just stick hot pokers up your ass. It's like well, that doesn't have to be personalized. Nobody's GONNA. Like that can't put also where does it does it say in the Bible that they stick hot pokers up your ass where did that come from? That's just use your imagination man. That's the first thing I think of I don't even think I think of. I don't know. Pulling off your fingernails one by one. I guess that's bad. But not as you gotta remember him, they don't have to worry about killing you. So they can just chopped up into pieces over why wouldn't you say events that have hot poker up they put in a in like a wood chipper over and over again yeah. Or Big One, a big paper shredder, but it would be a a Tim shredder. Now we get jammed halfway, are they keeping up with the newest technology on earth like when the paper shredder came out where like oh great. This is great. Years we can. We can make a big version. We need to get the boys upstairs I. Guess Downstairs Maybe the RND in Hell is even further down. We we needed to get the boys Dan rnd working on a big version of this a sap all the businessmen that get sent to hell. This is going to be very ironic to them. Do you think they have like IPAD tortures now? Maybe? Yeah. Maybe it's like really do it's just like a you have to use it, but it's like a very sharp as the the collapse cuts you as you using. Yeah. Well, I one of the myths on this thing that I read was. That Jesus didn't talk about Hell and then the truth under it was Jesus talked about hail more than anyone in the Bible. Really, that's that's what this claimed Outta what version of the Bible they were they were looking at. But they they said, you know apparently Jesus was Talking a blue streak about holiday when they would listen. I think yeah. which kind of makes sense he's like, oh, man now you WanNa go to my dad's place not. Not Hel health states. He's not like my actual ankle but I call them my uncle. He doesn't Jesus doesn't call his uncle no, he's. The Devil the devils is on goal here because he's a fallen angel. Yeah. But he doesn't call the devil is uncle I think he just like it's the devil it's like you know a guy my. Buddy you but he doesn't call heaven my dad's. Place. So you think it's like when Satan was an angel, he was like very close with God. So it's like, Oh, I think all the angels I think is kind of like a gods and like oh Thanks. So I'm just saying that Satan was a very close business associate of God. So it's like Oh you know sandwiches always around. So you know you should sunken Satan. Yeah, exactly. That's what I'm saying. Okay I I've come around. I. Do I do see how he would think. Time, if you had a kid I. Call me Uncle Tim. Make them you, skeleton. Nice. I..

"The New York Times so they dug. Way Down in the they. They dug deeper than they've ever doug before and they're like what we we broke through, and now it's like. A heat resistant microphone down there right and they record it all these scary hell noises in they're like Oh man we've accidentally dug all the way to hell and they they had a thermometer on the microphone said it was eighteen hundred degrees, Fahrenheit. which is very hot. Yeah. I was at the end of this episode. We should go to. Russia. Some down that will see for ourselves. I was surprised they I guess the hoax reports were that it dug nine miles down and they didn't they dug like seven point eight miles down which I was like Oh. Yeah. That's close enough but. But I was also surprised because I was thinking really lay hell would only be nine miles away at all time set. Does it seem far enough? Yeah. That'd be weird. Closer. To Hell than we are to like a satellite. Yeah. Yeah. That that that I always assume hells like in the middle of the earth. I always assumed. That for hell to actually exist. And I guess this shows how? How things mess with kids heads. As learn about the earth in school and and you know the the different layers of of earth and and then they're like Oh and then learn other places like in Church stuff that hell was under. The Earth Buzz like it must be in the center of the Earth Yeah but if that's the case. It's not big enough to hold like what I was roughly figuring would be like half the people who have ever lived. And half are going to go ahead and that was my back of the envelope math. They'd run a space real quick I. Guess Science is All just a hoax. Hell is certainly real. So it must be like there isn't there were. We're the earth isn't round or whatever you know. It's just a big flat expanse and you know miles and miles and miles under underneath the earth is kind of unlimited hell escape. Yeah. Are there flat earthers that believe in Hell? I don't know and he would make sense we track. Yeah. I wonder if they think like hell's just like underneath like a mirror world by Guy Rebate standing on hell upside down. The other side of the flat earth. That's an interesting thought yeah Jordan peels us. Yeah. I don't really remember that movie it while. Yeah. Like kind of I mean it wouldn't be like everybody's d'appel gangbangers but yeah, it'd be underneath everything but maybe it is maybe if the earth was flat and you drilled through it, you'd see freaking outer space I guess you'd see outerspace if you drilled through the regular earth that the actual earth, but it would take a lot a lot less time I would think. I don't know maybe there are flat earthers they're like, yeah idiot Earth's flat but it's thick thickest hell. You don't know. Yeah. That's true. I also read when looking at this stuff about. How you shouldn't make light of hell because then you'll go to Al.. See. I don't think we're making light of how. Well they always have like a you. This is a Bible verse. I'll read it to you to bid meaning to start reading more Bible versus in the new show. And this thing whenever I read this kind of stuff and they point out like well, it's very clear in the Bible. It's always a in the Bible where it's like I don't know what tat was talking about. Understand. Let me read one sentence. This sentence proves that you shouldn't make fun of Hell because then you'll go to hell proverbs one, thirty, two for the waywardness of the simple will kill them and the complacency of fools will destroy them. May that. We're going. Yeah. But then you know at least a Catholic belief is Yeah but you can avoid going to hell if right before you die, you go my bad I'm sorry about all that stuff. This is. This is what? This is one of the myths that was busted on the website. I. Went to Tom It is false. Okay the myth is that there are people in Hell who wanted to go to heaven. While they were still alive God wouldn't let them. Apparently that's false. Everybody in. HELL DIDN'T WANNA go to heaven knows in Hell wanted to go to heaven. then. What's the big worry, right? Yes. It's just a bunch of heavy metal bands down there having a blast and the rest of us you know when they give us the choice. Again I'm not going to risk eternity I'll I'll go at the safe choice I'll go at heaven. You can never be let out of health Yeah you're there for. Eternity. which is honestly giving me very is giving me very cold feet about going there. Myself quit being a coward I'm sure we'll be able to get out of hell. One of the Miss I saw was that hell is temporary. Now Mike I never heard it was temporary. Yeah maybe some people were. Mixing it up with. Purgatory what's limbo? It's when you get two people to hold a poll and you have to go under it yet the lean backwards but you can't touch the ground yet the sand your feet, and then once everybody's gone then you lower the poll little bit lower and you see you know who can do that. Make Sense. But if somebody touches the polar they fall, then they're out, they're out there. You keep doing it until one person. Wins. Okay. Satan and his demons do not rule hell apparently. There in Missouri Gang in town no they're suffering eternal punishment under guests who? God that wasn't what I read. Yeah I I'd. The vengeful part of guide. So wait is that a myth or that's true. A Corey, the true part. Is that Satan Rules Hell. But there's boys the. With his sons, Satan Satan in sons, his boys and his friends you know sometimes your cousin is actually your cousin. Potter really but are right. So what I read. The Myth was that God sends people to Hell and the truth was that people send themselves to hell yeah. I guess signed. Tim and Tom Could Go. I guess it's kind true. It kinda jibes with what you're saying that it's a choice to go to hell. But but from what I was reading, it was a choice and you make that choice by. Being a.

"And here's what I learned Tom. Not Everybody, not all religions not all myths have held being hot some of it. Some of it says, hell Lizzo Sir quite the opposite. So for though the so in some religions, if you said Yeah when Hell freezes over, they'd be icon now I. Guess Yeah. Like on a regular day. This is something that happens every day. Right? The Eagles are always on tour reunited. There's also a lot of religion said don't believe in Hell. So, there's that to. Sign me up for that. Signed me up for no hell I also. Choose. The No. Hell option. Actually before we get to that I was thinking about this throws like man the idea that when you die. Yeah you can go to purgatory but ultimately for. You're going to heaven or hell that's a hell of a choice. That's A. There's no in between. It's like you're going to the best place ever. Both these places are GonNa make Earth look like. A lame You're not gonNA believe the the difference in these places the goodness of Heaven in the pattern of Hell. Now Earth has no comparison. Right. Or even purgatory because purgatory it's like. Well, you're there temporarily while they do some paperwork, I guess what's purgatory about? I, it's a waiting room. It's like we gotTA. We gotta get a grand jury together to figure out where you should go. Think. Sorry sometimes I believe it is like a this person doesn't deserve to go to hell but they they shouldn't get a Dacian get a flash past the heaven. Shouldn't they have a better solution than just like okay we'll just have them sit here for a while. The better solution be like a medium place? That's what purgatory is I think? No can you like? Can you get bowling in purgatory I? Don't think so I think purgatory still sucks. But as bad as hell yeah. Like heaven like hell there's there's no six flags great adventure or if there is Batman the ride. He's always broken. It's always down for repairs. Yeah or to you every time you try to. Think you hit the polls? Yeah. There's a celtics fan carry hit the polls in it Dale Kill you instantly. Know but not inhale your. Yeah. So yeah. You'd feel the whole thing in Heaven v six flags. That's like it's all six flags in one in there are no lines right none of the rides over broken down and they've got they've got some new roller coasters even ever even heard about exactly and then like. Purgatory should have just like a local amusement parks where it's just like you know it's it's got a roller coaster, but there's nothing to write home about it doesn't have any loops or anything and you can go there and you're like it's better than nothing I guess. But maybe I'd rather just sit at home and watch TV. When you once you've already paid for your ticket, you get in you you find out it's mostly kids rides. Dam there's nothing I can really go on. Or is one of those things where you need to like buy separate tickets for every rides. Just. Get in and go on river ride you want. Yeah. Coney island's like it stinks coney island stinks I can't imagine how anybody ever thought Coney and didn't stink I think Coney Island's worse than Hell. It's fun. It's fun for like a day. It's it's a weird place to go to New York City but the last time I was there I remember seeing families there. Now, I couldn't believe it because to bring like family. There's GonNa cost you more than going to Disneyworld because every. Nickel and dime the Hell Adia. Yeah. If you're all GonNa ride the cyclone, it's going to cost you forty five dollars for yeah. I think I think it was around forty five dollars for like four people go on yeah. Come on guys get your together. But anyway I found. Some myths about hell to and and like you I thought. It was going to go the other way about like. Els Not you'RE NOT GONNA get sent to hell very few people get sent to hell like reassuring no 'cause I. Guess It's not that bad. While I guess normally when you see like myths debunked, it's it's usually This isn't as dangerous as people. Thinkers is bad as people think you know we were talking about the myths the Halloween. Myths about like. In, in Razor Blades and candy and turns out that's Ever, happened with strangers. But not these helmets at least from what I saw. No these sense tended to be a little bit more alarming than I thought. Yeah. The you want to go over some of them. Yeah. You can. You can start with your list. Okay The first one that I saw was held doesn't exist. Myth Oh. It's a myth. This undermines the whole premise of everything we're trying to do here. Because it was like, no hell does exist There's a bunch of proof about it in the Bible. It does like, all right yeah. If you're. If you believe everything in the Bible. That's enough proof but. I thought they were going to have something like, no, here's pictures. Like It does exist I. mean you know about the well to hell right? Tom, I do yeah. That was that was another thing I remembered about it, but then I also found it Do you want to explain what it is? It's in Russia. I to say, well, it's a hoax you know that right? I. Mean. Some people are saying that. Some people are saying, it's not A. It was reported in some in some Not Great Sources to not be a hoax in the late eighties early nineties what Tim Like C. N., n.?.

"Still pulling schemes, right? Yeah. Oh, absolutely. That's all they are. They're just like scheme family. I mean gotta hand it to him and and this was an interview with with like there. would be a part of this was an interview with a neighbor who is like? Yeah, it was really messed up I was so upset. We'll make they were neighbors for years and like their kids were over our house while they were you know quote quote unquote trying to find You know there are other son and like she's really fucked up when I realized what had happened and this guy just lied to my face. Yeah. But moved. Maybe. They'll be moving to hell pretty soon. Maybe hopefully. Soon Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. The parents they'll probably go to hell that GonNa say, yes, it's difficult to get a kid to lie convincingly. But, it's very easy to plant ideas and a kid's head. Yeah especially. Who told you that the the boys outside smoke shop Tom you know like sure you go you go to church when you're that heavy metal magazine I've seen you reading yeah I play all my records backwards and you should hear all the wonderful things that they say about hell sounds like a fantastic place to him. No look. There's a lot of differing conflicting. Reporting about health? Right. There's no reporting about. Some newspapers they say, hell is cool and others. They say Hell isn't cool to hell sucks yeah. Michelle is the worst place in the world who do I who do I believe in this situation I. Don't think that many people are saying, Hellas? Cool. But isn't hell where all the like you know where you can go and really let loose now I don't think so I think once you go there you get tortured Tim. I think if you go to heaven, you can really let loose. I mean. You to. Know you think you can. You think you can drink your eight percent alchoholic Seltzer there Tom in heaven? Yeah. Yeah and I bet they wouldn't give me a hangover. Now where do we get these ideas that having you could just You want even if it's like a bad thing to do on her, why is it a bad thing to do? You get why at Church, you don't get drunk on wine a church. Speak for yourself tim if you if you keep going back in line with a different disguise every time you can you can you can get a nice buzz going. Do they still do I mean not right at the moment, right but in like twenty nineteen where they still doing that thing in in like Catholic churches were. You'd go and drink from the same wine glasses everybody else Probably I know the last couple of times I've been, in, churches. When they've done communion, it's Dave like had somebody you know some I dunno honest and assistant like a magician's assistant buying a precept like some assistant that comes up. Dressed. As provocative magician's assistant actually the one time I was there it was a pretty short number. She was wearing him very sparkley i. thought it was inappropriate for church to be honest but. They. Had it but nobody took it. And that the end they dislike port out, they like poured into something else they just finish they'd Polish. Oh. This is what they do. Yeah. Because it's been blessed. So it's like you can't. You can't put it back in the bottle is knows what happens if you bless the same wine twice it has the opposite effect on it and it turns it into Devil's brew and and if it's Yeah. It's blessed. You can't just dump it down the sink or whatever. So yeah, they do a Polish it off. But I think they don't put that I've never been to church even when that was more Happening when more people partook of the wine. I've never been deterred where they're like, oh, hang on everybody we ran out of wine we gotTA. GotTa Get a repeal here and have a half the priest blessed again and all right now barsebaeck open everybody. 'cause people would have revolted. Yeah, I. Think it's pretty pretty low alcohol wine that they used to you don't know. Well that's what I. That's why I said I think not I know. Tablet what About the wine at Church could feel freaking. Book. I wonder if you could say to the person I am thinking about that like if you're if you're at church near looking to get a buzz and you see that nobody's partaking of the wine, you can go up there and now nobody else assist it. I'll take a big old SWIG. Right. Some the something keep in mind the next you're in church I'm just saying yeah whereas Mike love of the beach boys says, if you're ever going to be able to go to church again without getting arrested Oh is that what he thinks? He is right now. If you go to church, you get arrested while Mike. Love strikes me as somebody who does to church every Sunday yeah. Good man weariness fucking hat. The priest kyw kindly asked to take up his beach boys hat. Now. Sorry. Sorry I'm. If I take off this hat people no, I went bald. Forty years ago. Mike love a bad man. Yeah. Look. Remember when Mike when the beaten love more like my Kate Yeah. More like my glove. That doesn't make any sense to. Tom. Hell is cool. Why do so many cool people worship the devil. What cool. People worship the devil heavy metal bands Tom. Because, they're they're heavy metal they're allowed to. Get it. Yeah. No. I guess I guess it's pretty cool. They tried to make hell seem cool to a bunch of impressionable kids in the eighties and it worked on me. Yeah that's true. Yeah I guess I guess like heavy metal bands. Really sold the idea that hell is just like a party place like. Twenty Four Hour Party and hell and like some some really messed up south.

It's a small showroom and right next to the window here you can see behind me. And there's a building. That is like right like there's a walkway between the two buildings. Okay and then another building. Like ten feet from my building. Out. and. There's somebody right across in the window across who is also. At their desk in that window all day every day. And I hate it. Whatever I look up there's a person right there person that I've never met before, right? Oh, nothing about this person. But the tiny your coworker there's officemate but. Now I'm under the impression that this person this woman is just Kinda like. This frigging guy. Again. Yes she feels the same way about you know I don't feel bad about like I. I'm just like we all live our lives I think she resents me and because of that I feel anxious when I'm just going about my business in here I, always feel like she's judging what I'm doing even though what I'm doing is just sitting at a computer silently most of the day. Yeah, I doubt. That I doubt she. That, she has you know. Much thought about you. But then I was thinking about how earlier today I was across the street from me. There's like a I'm on the third floor there's like a balcony. And UH. Today I was telling my girlfriend like look the guy, the guy that's always smoking cigarettes with that shirt off in the morning he's out there now drinking a beer and smoke a cigarette, but he's got his shirt on. So I guess maybe she does care. I keep pretty close track of people out the window the neighbors from bewitched. Surname. Crandall or something or easily add sound that sounds familiar. Kinda end. Tim. I know I know a lot about I got a rear window situation going going on out here he had. This is nine everybody. This is like a rear window situation there looking like I make eye contact with this person multiple times a day immediately I just like look back there because like what am I supposed to do give a little wave like hello. I don't think that'd be the worst thing in the world make make a little sign pit in your window. Now. Happy. Friday am I right. No Jeff. Happy hour drinks on me. And I don't I don't WanNA I don't. WanNa do that I don't want to. Ever think about opening up the window and screaming at them. I mean they'd be able to hear it can't. Be Able to hear. They could probably hear me right now. I just looked I looked at the way she's in there right now we just really checked. Yes. I. Can you can you point the IPAD out there? So I can see no I can't. Not, because she'll see, be holding an IPAD up until see my face in the IPAD the real weird. Thinks she knows who you are. I know it might solve a mystery for maybe she wonders why you know every Night you talk into a microphone yeah. Yeah. So is it rude if I just Draw the curtains whenever it come in and do of course not. I, thought you were avoiding doing that just because he didn't want it like a view of the outside well I also you know it allows for more sunlight to come in I. Don't know. I just don't want to ever run into this person. It's not rude to privacy in your own home. I know that's why I think. She should just leave her office and let me be me working piece. Does she ever? Closed her curtains no. Yeah. I Never Close The curtains in my office so I get it. Yeah. His. You want some light to come in. Yeah. Yeah. We have a groundbreaking episode this week Tom, we're going to be doing some investigative journalism. Literally, groundbreaking. Yeah. Exactly. Breaking the ground to get. To a certain hot place. But I'm not going to say the name of because it's a curse the hot please down under the crust, right? Yeah. You think apple podcasts is going to censor this episode for having a cuss word as the title they can do whatever they want but that's not gonNA. Stop Us. Tom Because this week. Yeah. We refused to be censored except for me earlier when I said I won't say a curse word. Yeah I, mean you're famous coward. Then, there's no better place for me. Yeah, exactly. That's. All. The cowards wind up hell or is it or? People there will get that later but Tom I. It's Halloween. Month here on the complete everything. Yeah. Here, we are calling each other tim and Tom like any other normal Jesus. Yeah. Sorry Skeleton. No worries. Tomb. I'll be better about calling you buy your proper Halloween month name from here on out we should have both put on face makeup to make it easier for us to remember corpse makeup I. See well, I could put you. You would have just had to paint your face like a skeleton and then I. Painted my face dislike ano- like lurch or something yeah. We're like WHO's the undertaker's friend and manager Paul bearer? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's actually kind of what I was imagining. Pallbearer was always scarier than the undertaker himself. Well, Pallbearer was very sneaky. That's that was the problem you know a he disarmed you because you're like that that you know little. But. Then when the referee's not looking, he's GonNa Bash over the head with a frequent earn or whatever. Yeah. I don't know I wasn't I wasn't a wrestling kid we were in a wrestling fought very cheap. The pallbearer. Well I guess all all the. Wrestling managers that's that they always fought cheap I don't think wrestling has managers. Like is certainly not as much as they did when we were kids. Yeah. It seemed like everybody had an associated little guy manager with them. Yeah or like the million dollar man. He had the ravishing Elizabeth with them all the time. It was a beautiful woman that just came out and did she wrestle now? She would. Take his cloak or whatever I think and I think once in a while, she would also pull some dirty tricks but but not nearly as many as A. Pallbearer. I wasn't a wrestling kid I didn't grow up in a wrestling household We we were wrestling each other for seven. We watched baseball games AMERICA'S PASTIME WE ATE Apple Pie Tom. Wow. Gutter stuff we didn't watch married with children. We didn't play Sega Genesis Turbo Graphics Sixteen we were Nintendo. Thank you very much. Another character assassination. Married with children either it was gross. Yeah. When the kids came in to school every day the day after like Monday morning be like, did you see Al Bundy last night? That'd be like first of all, it's called married with children in second of all no, I didn't see it. I'm not allowed to watch that show. It would give me bad idea is about Flushing the toilet louder or whatever happened on there Tom, I have a situation here before we go to cal. I'd like some we have. Fares in order. So, I've been having this situation. You see me right now. Tom, I'm in. A smallish room it's a Home Office. Okay. It's GotTa tasking here is going to be that that your wife has locked you in. No the. Doesn't lock, which is another whole thing. Another whole thing. Yeah. Can't. A in this place. Well, why can't you just have an agreement like you know when the doors closed, I'm busy. That's that's what me and my girlfriend have yet. But what if what if somebody else comes in WHO's not who's not GonNa life then you're in worse trouble Tim, you're not supposed to be having guests over right now exactly Tom, what if somebody breaks into my house and I'm trying to hide and cower. I. Forgot. Me like a panic room or something I know I know I'd like to one day build this into a panic room wouldn't that be so nice alike you know I I I think a lot of people that prep in everything are overreacting. But I think I really would sleep very well at night. If I knew I had a panic room. Yeah I think eventually you'd start sleeping in the panic room. Well, at a certain point, it makes sense to start sleeping in the panic room as you accumulate enemies throughout your life at a certain point you go. You know what I got. I got so many enemies I guess are sleeping in the panic room Tom Hey I don't they make the whole house out of the panic. Because people want windows in their houses. Yeah. That's true. I mean you can union just go live in a bunker plenty of people are doing that nowadays. Yeah, I don't WanNa have to dig for that long. Well most people buy it from some. Yeah. Buy from somebody else or have somebody come in. You know dig up their their yard and put a bunker down there Do you have somebody else come in and dig up your yard? Well, you got. You can rent a backhoe or something. I beg. Aren't gonNA say. Dirty words on this show. I forgot that you're. You're you're not a man of the people you're not familiar with construction terms. I'm really not I've noticed I have a three year old niece and a three year old nephew and they both have so much deeper knowledge of construction vehicle. They know all the names and stuff point them out I. Just know them it's like. was that a truck and they're like, no. Said digger well in. In fairness. You're not that interested in trucks and it doesn't have much to do with your day to day life knowing the names of these things. Same thing with like dinosaurs, the names have different dinosaurs. But. Let's be honest that doesn't have you know none of them are operating heavy machinery these three year olds. What maybe they aspire to operate it. Yeah. May maybe they one.

"So make sure you check them out and it's just stuff like they suggest I wouldn't really think of this. If you have a kindergartner, our pre k they don't have to be sitting in a chair like some of those kids do better sitting on the floor and they might do a Taylor set or a w set or like here's how you can put pillows behind their back. Here's how you can make sure the screen is high enough. It's all these very concrete ways. You can make this weird online learning for little ones a little easier I mean I know my neck is bothering me it hadn't occurred to me that you need to worry about your four year old to neck to. But there are things you can do aren't that hard that will make. It a little easier That's a good one. Yeah. That's a solid tip. Good takeaway. It is right because we all need better organic chairs and and neck heights right now. Well, I feel like we often go to the facebook page which you like, what's your husband doing drive you crazy we get four hundred answers and they're all relevant fine and there's a ton of overlap. So what we tend to do with those is we categorize them like these are things that husbands do that are annoying in the kitchen. These are things that husbands dude that are annoying while driving. That's like peek behind the scenes. That's how amy and I tend to lay it out. So. With this, we would have people I'm the facebook page to say you know what is back to school looking like for you and instead of it being that kind of thing of like, okay. Here are the eight categories of things. People are facing going back to school the socks on the floor thing. Yeah. It really reminded me we said another. Episode that like Borrowing Language from the autism community, which is if you've met one kid with autism, you've met one kid with autism. If you've met one person dealing with back to school, you've met one person go deal with back to school I mean every single answer is like yeah. So our school was going to in person they changed to hybrid. My husband is an essential worker and I'm a teacher in a different district like everybody's got six puzzle pieces that don't fit together in their story. It's like you have your own individual escape room of impossible things that you have to solve for. That's a perfect metaphor. In fact, we just did a virtual escape room for my sister's birthday you ted. Let me tell you. That's exactly what it's like. You've got cannonballs and then over here there some strange holes, and then over here, there's a drawer with an eight digit numeric code. That's exactly what this feels like and we were just talking before we got on about you know and then on top of it like my kids are going to days, they haven't started yet. They start later in the week and I'm just texting my husband amy and I are here trying to record my kids have. To go get trained on the online portal today at their school homeboy and I'm just like adversary of credit I'm like amy hold on one second texting has don't forget to fill out their temperature on the APP before you send them look it's like it's just a whole new world and I think one of the things that makes parenting easier sometimes is it they're at least is a certain like.
