"Daddy's not only is that good. It shockingly accurate your most common. Nothing i could even dispute on that. Everything in that was true. Here's what's sad. I spent about two hours writing. Don't you bill. I'm not i'm not. You don't have that ability that i have to make something out of nothing. That has no monetary value whatsoever. No not a great songwriter. Songwriting will never be in my wheelhouse. San francisco by the way has jumped on david price on the dodgers to nothing could have been worse. I don't know if you had it on. But that's on. Loaded the bases brandon. Crawford had two run double odi and there were runners on second and third and he got out of it so it could be they could have been much worse could have been much worse. Johnny cueto is amount for the giants. It is the top of the second inning. And we'll keep you up to date on that we could faced by the way we talked about the possibility of an nba trade today because espn's coverage of the draft starts at four o'clock today espn tv. We'll have donald oils and cap will be on it for us but four o'clock. Espn goes into draft coverage. Yes the baseball. Trade deadline is now less than twenty four hours away. It's one o'clock tomorrow. They're already some big trade yesterday including the biggest one so far. Joey gallo who is a stud. Yeah going from texas to the yankees and you line. Those three guys up judge stanton and gallo well one of the reasons why i think they went and got gallo is stanton's hurt all the time. Yeah and judge hasn't been very good this year right. So but he's he helps them defensively. It's a maybe a little too late. Looks like boston might win that division. But i loved trade for the yankees and by the way they didn't give up any of their top five prospects but they gave up prospects that people are high on so it just shows you how deep their farm system is. They were able to make that deal without giving up the guys who really wanted to report from ken. Rosenthal dodgers continue to negotiate on. Max scherzer a west coast. Team dodgers padres giants for sherzer dodgers. Also interested if they make that deal. Could also get reliever daniel hudson in the deal. A really good setup guy now based speaking of that speaking of max scherzer. I don't want to accuse anybody of anything. I'm not that guy. But i texted you yesterday. Yep immediately after reading our friend. Bill plachy cheese column in the ascii. Did you or did you not make pretty much all of those points. Two days earlier than he wrote that column. It's very clear that is a fan of the show. Saying i name say my name bill. Plaka you're going to take my take say my name. I mean seriously. He took your take didn't he. He did he did well. One of the biggest parts of take that he took. What's your take is proprietary. I mean other people can have it. Oh yeah very close to kind of exactly what you said. I think it was monday. And one of the points. Am i made on monday. And bill made in the column. Is that in these deals. We've seen these. Trade deadline deals the last few years. Richhill and yu darvish and josh redican manny machado and the deals that they've actually made the dodgers traded the following players. Aj alexi brendan davis willie. Calhoun grant homes terrell. Cotton frankie montage. Caleb dirks phil. Pfeiffer zachary bird hector. Olivera pokka rodriguez victor irujo kevin guzman and jeff brigham and the one thing. Those guys all have in common virtually no impact of the major league level. If any right. If i'm always in favour and you're gonna see tonight with the nba. We're of crossing streams here but you're going to see players get traded for for breaking breaking. Ken rosenthal padres close to acquiring. Max scherzer alone. Exactly what we were worried about. Yeah yup exactly worried about. We were worried about. They are coming and by the way. I think they're coming for kris bryant to the giants i heard are in on chris bryan. I've heard that too. But if they get so think about race since the dodgers knocked out last year yup they will have picked up. Blake snell yu. Darvish and max scherzer. They are not messing around. No not at all. They're going for it and they've got they've got a sharp general manager in aj prowler. They've got now a hedge fund guy out of la who owns them And the spending isn't an issue. They're not a cheapskate organization anymore. They see an unbelievable opportunity to go for it and why not. Why not by the way breaking news on seventeen. Espn brought to you by bobbling instant oil. Change home fifteen minute. Drive your oil. Change visit socaloilchange dot com to find a location near you and download up to fifteen dollars in coupons. We threw that out there. If you're a laker fan and you had to choose between buddy healed or demar rosen which you pick and why eight. Seven seven seven ten. Espn lot of stuff going on today. The moment something breaks we will have it for you. Just like that breaking news. From the from the padres and ken rosenthal the padres close to completing that deal mason ireland seven ten. Espn and i am going to break down. Every single potential draft. Pick through the show today. John i've done a lot of i have done any research i know. I know that sounds like really bad radio. I know breaking down. Draft picks mobley's from usc. Right really good player. Yeah really good. Layer could be number one in any other year but is already announced the number one pick. Yeah it's gonna be cunningham him the oklahoma state guard. He's going to go to detroit. John mirant sub tweeted woge. And said you're taking all the fun out of this. Is he doing job. Well i don't know you tell me. I mean you watch the nfl draft or the nba draft. Because you're excited. Who's going to go number one. Who's going number one. What now it's sorta takes the drama out of it tonight. Well here's doing his job but he is taking the fun out of it to well. Here's the problem..

"With you let's get to it it is time for going deep whether the brewers are winning or losing a player is on a hot streak or slumping there's always a reason why here's this week's in depth look at the current state of the brewers as we go Gee all right so that intro light do you a little bit because we're not actually going to do a brewer centric going deep here wanna touch on something that happened earlier today Major League Baseball issuing a suspension to New York Yankees pitcher demean go are mine it is an eighty one game suspension he is going to get credit for time served essentially for missing some of the end of our last season and also the post season so he's going to end up missing the first is sixty three games of the twenty twenty season as part of this eighty eight one eight game suspension according to a report from Yahoo sports he allegedly slapped his girlfriend who is the mother of at least one of his children following a charity gala put on by cece's about the a last September there have been some reports out there that a member of the commissioner's office office sol this altercation take place now there were no criminal charges brought against mon and there is no video no physical evidence against him either and the eighty one game suspension is the longest suspension that Major League Baseball has levied under the domestic violence policy in absence of formal charges in the legal system overall it is the fourth longest handed down under this policy Padres pitcher Jose Torres got a hundred games of twenty eighteen Phillies outfielder tubal Herrera got eighty five games to finish out last season and the Braves Hector Olivera serving at eighty two games in twenty.

"Game. The final score the Rockies over the giants nine to three. John Miller was sitting in one of those booths. Like like, Dave. And I were talking about around the what was it Dave around Wimbledon? Maybe when they're calling the match, but but nobody's actually there at the field watching the ball game. And settle a John Miller was like sitting in a sound booth Colin that no crowd behind him. Giants lose yesterday's spring training tilt nine to three at the hands of the Colorado Rockies. If you're gonna make note of one thing the ball game. It was interesting Cal Friedland. What are the best lefties in the National League? Certainly the National League West face the giants yesterday, you might have gotten a little look at what the giants are thinking with a left handed pitcher out there as far as the starting lineup goes in. It's still had Stephen Duggar up at the top of the lineup. Get Posey than Longo hitting third belt. Fourth Crawford was fifty DHA. I'd imagine he would be the shortstop is the giants don't play with the designated hitter. And you had Abby Avellino in their at short bat. Ninth Cameron may been was the right fielder. Williamson the leftfielder and Alan Hansen at second base. So quite possibly look at maybe even with the splits they'd be playing you'd still have Stephen, Doug. Centerfield who who I don't believe is is that much different against lefties and righties at least in the minor leagues. Derek Rodriguez did start the game three innings to hits to watch two strikeouts in earned run. Trevor got a diamond paint attention to a little bit. They had acquired him from the Washington nationals. The right ended relief pitcher he threw one inning hit. But he struck out the side. He throws a real hard. And then a Jose Lopez a guy we were kind of looking at last week is a guy we'd we'd expect to at some point this year. At least make some spots starts. He'd probably be one of the top top middle of the road pull ups from Sacramento. I think if you're looking for a spot starter he went one inning. He gave up five hits for Ernie's. And that's your giants nine three loss from yesterday. We'll talk a little bit about Saturday as well. But I think we do before we get into anything else from the weekend or or from what happened with the warriors on Saturday. A big one twenty one seventeen win for them over the Philadelphia. Seventy Sixers kind of a raucous crowd out in Philly. Also is the Larry Baer stuff. We do have to discuss this. I don't think that like, I don't think anybody it can be our gets into sports talk radio or anybody gets into sports talk radio to want to talk about this stuff. It's nothing that makes me comfortable, and it shouldn't make you comfortable, it, should it should give you some sort of a motion or some sort of you should have a reaction to to what had happened on Friday with Larry and his wife. Pam bear out in Hayes valley the photo of the video that dropped Friday afternoon after we were off the air course here in the leadoff spot. But it was talked about all weekend long. And I think I think maybe for the giants. That's a good thing for them as far as their image goes that they maybe happened on a Friday. They get a little bit of a cooling period that he put out a statement on Friday. Both the giants from the organization and then Larry baron pander separately for their remorse in their their involvement in the the situation or in the the altercation that went down between giants CEO and his wife. I think after the Reuben foster scenario or after what had happened at least the first time around and then the second time with him getting cut while they were out at the team hotel in Tampa Bay. Most of us myself included, and I came on it, and and people on the textile, and are are you ready to apologize for what happened with Reuben foster admitting you're wrong. I don't think there was a right or wrong or a winner or a loser in any of those situations. Right. Nobody comes out looking good. Nobody comes out feeling good for many of those situations. I think the result of what had happened though was after the initial one where. Lisa NS went on the stand and said, she lied about all of it. After she'd filed a police report saying maybe the video that was out about them was not necessarily what happened. Maybe it wasn't even Ruben. There was all sorts of speculation about what had happened what had happened. And I think a lot of us jumped to the initial reaction of if this is happening with a football player on the team I root for I do not want him on the team that I root for and I think that's a totally logical and normal reaction to what had happened. The the difference for me now, or I guess, I guess what had happened after the case with with Reuben foster as you pull back and you say, hey, we maybe didn't have all the details. It was a lot cloudier and more confusing than any of us could have thought. Obviously, we're not in that relationship. You're not knowing what's going on behind closed doors. We don't know what what all played into that the difference with the Reuben foster scenario, I think just a little bit. Is that with Reuben foster? You have the Nick Sabin comment from the combine and the suspension and the the dirty test at the combine in the shoulder problems saying this guy's no altar boy, which in hindsight comment from the Nick Sabin standpoint. If you can keep this guy on a on a tight leash, and you can keep them under wraps, and you can Raynham in. Then he'll be a good football player for you. But when you went out on his own, and it's much different. When you get to the NFL, and when you're playing college football when you're in college football every minute of your day is planned out for you from time to get up to your team breakfast to your morning film session to when you go to class and get your homework done. Then you gotta go back to practice. Then you get your team dinner. Then you're doing more film study or game plan study, whatever it is. And then there's also the threat that if you don't take care of this business now, you may not get to the NFL. Right. So the Reuben foster situation, I think a lot of people were skeptical of him and his attitude when he got to the NFL, right? That that this was something that was a possibility or that they were afraid of when they got to the NFL. Bill. The issue I have here. And I'm and I'm not trying to compare the Larry Baer situation per se to the Reuben foster situation, but my reaction to hearing about it and seeing the video emotionally was very much the same. And I don't think that's being dishonest. I don't think that's being unfair. I think that when we look at this situation with Larry Baer, and we say, we don't have all the detail. It's a nineteen second video. First of all, I put no blame at any point ever on on Pam bear. I can't I have based on what I've seen in the reaction. I have to the video I can't place any blame on Pam bear. There. There is no aggression on her part. Tim Keller commie mentions numerous times and his article from the weekend that the screaming of her is is what makes this really tough days when there's a video out. We saw it with Ray rice, we saw with with Kareem last season when there's a video out everything becomes more real everything becomes more emotional. Now, I'm not saying that I have the reaction that Larry Barron, a knee jerk reaction needs to be removed as president or CEO or should have nothing to do with your organization. I'm okay with waiting until a full investigations done to figure out what exactly the punishment should be. But I will say that based on when you first see something like this. I think we all I think naturally our first reaction is emotional. I think naturally our first reaction is to tied into to something that we can relate to or or. Something that we're emotional about. Again, I'm not comparing the Reuben foster situation to this while this to me is a lot different because there is a video. So everyone who said wait and see about Reuben foster if you if you didn't say wait and see about Reuben foster, and you are saying wait and see about this. I think there's a reason why I think we need to ask the question. Why is that why do we view these as two totally separate things? One of them has a video and one of them did not another part of this is that Larry Baer for so many years for as long as I've been a giants fan and for as long as we follow the giants here in San Francisco, I think has done a very good job as being the face of this franchise as being the guy who was always calm, cool collected telecom. You said you almost never see him angry. You never see him loses. Cool, and I agree with that. Which is why this was such a strange at least from the outside to us viewers and out of character thing for Larry Baer. But to to quote Kawakami again. We don't know. All the details. It is eight one thousand nine second video what we do know was not pretty, but we did see was he was a pretty ugly scene on video. I'm not willing to say he struck her not willing to say he dragged her I do think that there was a level of aggression from Larry Baer that is not acceptable towards any woman at any point unless you're your life is in danger. And I don't think anybody believes that was the case if you look at major league baseball, and what's happened with domestic violence over the last will say four years now, it is only been how about this. This actually shocked me after finding this out. And I saw that a Jeff passan and Ken Rosenthal on Friday put out sedate been saying that front office personnel. And members of of each organization are still held under the major league baseball domestic violence policy. So any owner and he front office administrator? Whatever happens there still under that same policy. I believe there's a drug testing policy that they fall under as well. So they put out the Larry Baer is subject to the investigation, which we're now hearing is happening what I was shocked to find out. And I guess I must have known this. But when I did the quick research to look it up yet, again MLB has only had a domestic violence policy in place since August twentieth of two thousand fifteen. Prior to August of two thousand fifteen there was a number of high level big name players that had been accused or investigated on domestic violence charges that include can Saco Dante Bichette Barry Bonds. Bobby Cox, wil Cordero Pedro, Julio Lugo, Milton, Bradley, and and a bunch of others to name a few. And then you go to current players since two thousand fifteen major league baseball has suspended one two three four five six seven eight nine players. Most of whom were all stars or big name players for accusations or allegations of domestic violence. They include a Ronaldus Chapman. Puig was investigated. Jose Reyes did fifty one games. Hector Olivera saw eighty two games. Yours familiar. Got fifteen. Derek Norris was suspended for the remainder of the season. Back in two thousand seventeen Steven Wright, the knuckleballer the Red Sox got fifteen games. Roberto SUNA last year of the Toronto Blue Jays. And then of the Houston Astros got seventy five games. And Addison Russell the cubs got forty games. This all comes back again, right after I mean, this is the week that they actually I think it was on Monday or Tuesday. They actually had a domestic violence meeting. I think all the players in major league baseball had to attend earlier in the week last week. No joklik. The giants went on Monday or Tuesday and had to sit through this sensitivity training and go through this. It's it's it's ironic to say the least that this happened on Friday. I believe that at some point and some point soon there will have to be a decision made as to whether or not Larry Baer will be involved in the day to day operations around this team or for this team. I don't see any way that can continue to happen. At least in the immediate aftermath of this. Henry showman of the chronicle put out an article this weekend saying the giants officials spent the weekend kind of talking about that deciding who it's going to be like you look at what's happened this off season. I mean the thing with Charles Johnson. And the and the Mississippi was it a congresswoman and now a Senator I believe it was Cindy Smith would hide Smith. Donating money to fund of of a Republican candidate who put out blatantly racist campaign videos. I'm not calling Charles Johnson out for it. Thank you should probably have a better idea of where your money's going. But as far as that happening this off season with 'em. That's not a guy who can be the face of your franchise right now. So the names that are mentioned by by han- showman in the chronicle. He mentions Stacey slaughter the communications office Alfonzo filter the administration, and then Mario Allio and Jack bear general counsel people who could potentially in the immediate aftermath handle the day-to-day operations..
