"The most courageous. And the sort of pithy saying that is mostly true but kind of not right, that you must be over the target if you're drawing flat. A large percentage of the time that's true. But sometimes the person who's running the most flag is wrong the most lax is what they're saying is actually kind of bad. So the problem for Andrew Tate. And the reason why he becomes so popular is because he's very transgressive. He says the thing that no one else will say. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's really not good. And so we're going to look at some of the things the undertaker says, because again, he's a very popular figure, particularly with young men. And when people ask me about Tate, one of the things that I've said, I've said this to some teenage boys who are friends of the family. They asked me about them like a week ago. What I said is some of the diagnoses that annotate has of secular society are correct. His prescriptions are largely incorrect. And the things that he puts he has a rule, a list of rules. And many of the rules that he puts on the line are actually pretty good. And then the way that he acts, right? His version of masculinity, which is have a bunch of kids by a bunch of different women. Live in a castle with 30 Bugatti's. Put pictures online in muscle. This kind of stuff? That's not the traditional mark of masculinity. What Pope Benedict XVI would say, what I would say, what sort of members of the traditional wisdom cadre would say is that the ultimate in manliness is get married, protect your family, provide for your kids and your family, provide a space for them to grow in safety and security, provide them roles and responsibilities. This is the role of a man. This is what a man does. What would Andrew Tate focuses mainly on is the critique of how society has undermined a lot of this stuff. And then his prescription is, I'm gonna put a picture of myself online with like 30 cars and it makes me look cool and makes me look masculine. Hey, I also like cool cars. Cool cars are amazing. But what because we have lost eternal truth because we have decided as a society, the eternal truth has to go. The backlash is not coming in the form of a restoration of eternal truth, very often the backlash is coming in the form of punch the people in the face who destroyed the eternal truth. That's the society in which we're living. And I'm afraid that that could get worse unless what we actually have is a return to some eternal truth. So here's a couple of clips of the entertainment and kind of shows you what I'm talking about. That some of what he's saying is kind of half correct, but he's saying it in such a way that is meant to draw fire. So here is Andrew Tate talking. About women belonging to men. I don't know, because I think the women belong to the man. I think the woman's going to inherently where you get called sexist. No, it's not what you can call me sexist if you want, but if you look at marriage, it's the bride's father who gives her away. It's not the groom's father. The woman is always given over to the man. Read the Bible, read the Quran, read, you can go to walking down the aisle no chance. There's definitely there's like African cultures where they don't do that. I'm sure there are some obscure tribes somewhere. I mean, I can't say, I'm not a professional but you get it. You seem like a good guy. You seem like a smart guy. You're saying a woman is the property of a man if they're dating. I'm not saying they're appropriate. I'm saying they're given to the man and they belong to the man. It doesn't mean they're a pure appropriate without emotion. Okay, so notice the contrast here. So portnoy is so afraid of saying that a woman in a man belonged together and then a woman when she gets married. Now belongs to the man sexually in the same way that the man ought to belong to the woman sexually. This is literally genesis two 24. For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and be united to his wife and they will become one flesh. And genesis two 24. So that would be the eternal truth. That is the truth according to every mainstream religion. That would be the thing that you would say. And the reason for that from an evolutionary biology perspective is because when a woman joins with a man and they create a baby, the woman you sure of her heritage, but the man is not sure of his parentage. And so we, as a society, tend to prefer monogamy, right? This is the evolutionary biological reason why humanity embraced monogamy is because it is the best distribution of sexual resources. It is from an evolutionary biological perspective. Not a moral perspective. That's just evolutionary biology, Brett Weinstein, Heather heyer, talk about it. Heather hanging talk about it. All of this is very well established. When it comes to the morality, the morality is that a woman should not be promiscuous. And a man should also not be promiscuous. Now this is the power undertake gets the diagnosis right, but he gets the solution wrong. So here is Andrew talking about how women should not be promiscuous, it's bad for them. Well, a woman could say that same thing if she decided she could say I can sleep with multiple men, but my

"2022 now on WTO. Montgomery county's board of elections will meet to count more than 100 remaining ballots and certify the democratic primary election. And a port official said there will be some changes to address how those ballots were missed initially. Despite the fact that 102 uncounted provisional ballots were not discovered until just before the certification of Montgomery county's primary election, acting administrator for the county board of elections, Allison McLaughlin said, the process worked, but she said there were some contributing issues. We have a number of staffing changes. We had a number of vacant states and thin staffing for this election. That led to a mistake in transferring ballots from 9 precincts. In future, one person would oversee that process. The board also moved to consider joining four of the state's largest jurisdictions in legal action to start the canvassing process for mail in ballots as early as October 1st. Kate Ryan, WTO P news. Here, but it is what it is and we go forward from here. Yeah. You know, I've been to The White House. I've been to speak to a House subcommittee. I would just wait to the DoJ this year, those things wouldn't have happened, had I not lost my daughter, but I still rather have her back. Of course. Well, this is a bit of a science fiction thought experiment question. When you look at the world through Heather's eyes on this on these questions of equity and race and hate, what world do those I see today? Oh, she's always skeptical. She's always prodding people. "Good afternoon, I'm sandy cosell. And I'm more close with the top local stories we're following this hour. We begin with a big surprise in the race for Montgomery county executive today was supposed to be election certification day in Montgomery county, but that's not happening because a 102 sealed provisional ballots were found during a pre certification audit. Officials say the ballots were found during a search of folders where the provisional ballots were stored. Kate Ryan reports, the board of elections will be meeting at three 30 this afternoon to discuss the findings of that audit and then schedule the counting of those newly uncovered ballots. Once the results are certified, then candidates can formally ask for a recount. David Blair, who trails incumbent county executive Mark L rich in the democratic primary, has said he will petition for a recount, and there are four options open to him. Those include manual recounts or re scans of paper ballots. El rich is leading Blair by just 42 votes right now. We have an update for you about a water main break that happened last night on Macarthur boulevard that put thousands of Montgomery county residents under a boil water advisory. Water says the brick is fixed. The customers in the cabin John and Glenn echo areas are still being told to boil their water. The agency says the advisory could last through the weekend. What we need to do is collect a couple rounds of water quality samples and we need to test the water to ensure it's safe and after a boil water advisory that does take a couple of days. So customers in the affected area will have to boil their water for a couple of days. WSC waters Lynn riggins. Residents should bring their water to a rolling boil for one minute and then let it cool before drinking it, brushing their teeth, preparing baby formula or even giving it to their pants. "The simple trial of white supremacist in Charlottesville is now over this week A jury awarding millions in damages against white nationalist leaders for violence that erupted during the August 2017 unites the right rally After a nearly monthlong civil trial the jury deadlocked this week on two key claims but it did find white nationalist liable on four other counts The jury awarding a little more than 25 million bucks to 9 people who suffered physical or emotional injuries during two days of demonstrations Washington Post local news reporter Elise silverman is covered The jury did not reach a verdict on two federal conspiracy charges They deadlocked on those federal claims of a race based conspiracy However they did agree that there was a conspiracy under Virginia state law and that the victims were entitled to compensation And how did that compensation work out Specifically they agreed that prominent white supremacist Richard Spencer Jason Kessler Christopher Cantwell and others engaged in a conspiracy to intimidate harass or harm in advance of the deadly rally and awarded about $26 million in damages against 12 people in total and 5 organizations More than half of that money is owed by James field who's already serving a life sentence for ramming into a crowd of counter protesters with his car during the rally and killing Heather heyer How significant is the verdict and what could it mean Well the plaintiff's attorney said that the decisions the jury did reach they were calling it a complete and total victory The plaintiffs following the decision issued a statement saying they could celebrate the jury's verdict finally holding defendants accountable for what they did And accountability for what was brought into the Charlottesville community that weekend Any indication that the defendants in this case are going to challenge the damage award The attorneys for some defendants have made statements that they plan to file motions to try to decrease those damages and the plaintiff's attorney said that they will file motions of their own Ellie has there been any reaction from Charlottesville itself Yes the Charlottesville community applauds the courage of the plaintiff and stuck behind them through this case but that this is just one part.

"Things I wanted to flag for you before I pick up your phone calls The first is in the Charlottesville Nazi trial Where Heather heyer was murdered by this man James fields who slammed his car into the crowd Killing her he had tweeted earlier Love your race stop white genocide White genocide is the phrase that white supremacists are using to characterize the problem in their minds of non white people immigrating into the United States non white people having babies non white people having positions of power getting jobs getting elected I mean this whole white genocide thing basically is their phrase for what you would call the end of white supremacy While Sydney was on the witness stand the plane has played a clinic And then they had him talking on his podcast and he's using the K word this slur against Jewish people that rhymes with kites He said let's gas the case and have a race war When I realized their responsible for communism that's a really good reason to genocide at people And then later he said if you kill a Jew the Jew and you dies with him I heard And then he says this is a tasteless joke relax K word I mean this is pretty grim stuff That is coming out in this trial So number one I wanted to flag that for you The other one is a story that just went up on the Financial Times and I caught it during it went up about four hours ago but I just saw it during the break I was looking at the news to see what's going on in the world Check the times in The Washington Post and the Financial Times and some of the other websites And this is amazing Austria you know the country next to Germany right Austria's government I'll just read you the first two paragraphs This is just incredible Austria's government plans to impose a strict lockdown on the unvaccinated as a battle soaring rates of COVID-19 infection in one of the most contentious measures in Europe to try to contain the pandemic Speaking at a press conference in the state of Thai roll in on Friday Chancellor Alexander Shaolin Berg said the federal government was seeking a nationwide lockdown for those who have not been jabbed to apply starting Monday He says the measures are needed to protect the rights of those who have been vaccinated or recovered from the virus He said I don't see why two thirds of the population should lose their freedom because another third hesitates Frigging amazing The headline if you have a financial time subscription I'm pretty sure you have a subscribe to read it But the headline is titled Austria plans lock down for unvaccinated in battle to control COVID All around the world People are just saying I'm over it I think that the press coverage in the United States and people who refuse to get vaccinated The media constantly going out and finding well let's find some average person in rural Alabama who's going to tell us how terrible the vaccines are It's the media constantly in search of the dog bites man or the man bites dog story You.
