"Open champion, and then you don't want them to just go away meekly to you and not back it up and just a reminder as well that of what we saw Garcia do back in 2017 and 2018 when she was having that run to the WTA finals and should have maybe been more than she has since then. At least that's how it felt she would be. Well, as he said to Matt, when we were watching her beat emirati Carney the other day, I was sort of processing and analyzing it as it was happening before our eyes and I said, well, she is a role player, isn't she? She's a player that gets on her own and then we both sort of paused and we will clearly having the same thought and Matt said yeah, you mean that one time she went on a roll. 5 years ago. Yeah. And I said, yes, I do mean that, Matt. I do. If you've done it once, it was actually the role. Believable role. Didn't she win Wuhan and Beijing back to back? Yeah. And then she played the WTA finals and she had to run in that as well. Yeah. So has been a role players. Let's see how far her role can take her. Now, the final four round matchup that was decided today will feature Julian niemeyer, the German who lets you surrender today. And she will face Heather Watson, who at 30 years old and in her 42nd Grand Slam main draw tournament, she is through to the second week for the very first time. She beat Kyrie van today, who's more than half her ranking at the moment Cai yvan 7 6 two failed to serve it out at 5 love in the second set and it, you know, as much of a cushion as she had in the school line, it's started to feel dicey at that point, but she reigned it in somehow, got that set, served it out of the next time of asking and it was absolute scenes when she won really lovely scenes. I was listening on the radio when that match was going on. And you mentioned 5 love. I've just seen a service game that has given me the wobbles, you know, on her behalf. And then I started to listen to the commentary and you could tell that all the contributors on 5 live have seen this story before with Heather Watson or something similar where she's had a good lead and it's all gone wrong and everybody got their hearts in the mouths. But, you know, she got there. Good honor. It was amazing. It was a real amazing moment of joy, her mom was watching her, I think she's kind of everyone's everyone's favorite tennis moms. And what I find so interesting about this is that it seems completely unexpected that it's now that Heather Watson should reach round four of a slam. And look, I know she's had a good draw. She's taken advantage of that. I think in her previous round three, she'd faced Azarenka and madam sco and Serena. This was a better draw, but coming into this tournament she'd had a hamstring issue. And it kind of just goes to show. It was just a classic Grand Slam story, really, that a player who's been around to maybe thought that their chance has gone any given week can pop up and do the thing that they've been waiting to do for 7, ten years. And I just find that amazing that that can happen. And I think Heather Watson really appreciated that and just got everything out of that moment that she'd been dreaming of for so long. It was really special. And if you allow us to put our British hats on for just a moment, I love that. I mean, I think even the non British would say that, you know, any tournament is better for having home representation. It applies to world cups. It applies to in every sport, I think. Totally. And I love the, I love that the Brits are doing well, having a great tournament here, and it's not the ones you expected. The low key ones and the quirky stories and the stories that don't often grab the column inches and I love that. I love the depths of stories available because they'll, you know, Andy Murray and Emma Carney aren't going anywhere at any time seem particularly radical, but there's space, the space for more than just them. I mean, not Simon brig obviously. Still writing but I'm ready to go. I think they are delighted though down there in the press room that they've got these are the stories to get their teeth into it. Yeah, look, I know people like to give the press a stick, but they want they want the British players to do well. It's in their interest and actually, you know, they're British people as well from that perspective. They want to see it happen. But we've had enough years we've had so many years where players have not risen to the moment and gone beyond what you expect of them necessarily. And for them to do it here and several of them is really cool here, so Heather Watson through to the fourth round at Wimbledon and she will face Julian niemeyer of Germany. Yeah, and I think we're talking there from a British perspective about stories. This is a really interesting story for German tennis German women's tennis in particular because you've got that whole generation of Kerr by lisicki, gerges, petkovic, and then some lesser names like Maria and Sigmund siegman and Mona barthel, you know, that all these players in their 30s, they've had nobody since pretty much. And now they've got Neymar, who's 22, she was a really good junior, but has had shoulder surgery since breaking through as a junior and she's had to totally reconstruct her serve, interestingly, I'm speaking to Yannick Schneider for freelance German writer who's here, he was telling me this. And yeah, she showed everyone a glimpse of what she could do and she qualified at Roland Garros barely dropping games, and she's taken it to Wimbledon here. And yeah, she meets meets Heather Watson. It's an opportunity for both of them. They've played once already this year and Heather Watson won 7 6 in the third in Monterey. Imagine the scenes..

How Fatherlessness Drives Crininal Activity

"So there's no word about his parents. Did he have parents that he lived with parents that he lived with one parent, did he have a father in his life? There's no mention of that. I don't know why there's no mention of it. Maybe there's a good reason for it. Maybe he didn't have a father in his life. When I gave you the data yesterday from Heather McDonald about the number of murders of blacks by other blacks, 7000, I think it was? How many of those murderers had fathers in their lives? So I would like to ask everybody on the left who was passionate. I would say perhaps hysterical about guns. But just believe it is passionate. If you could have a wish fulfilled, would you like a father in every home or a gun removed from every home, which do you think would do better?

Blacks More Likely to Committ Hate Crimes Than Whites

"Critical piece by Heather McDonald and city journal. Again, from 2016 to 2020, blacks nationally were twice as likely to commit a hate crime as white, according to FBI data. In New York ten he ten to 2020 blacks were two and a half times as likely as whites to commit a hate crime. Blacks in Los Angeles committed anti Asian hate crimes at 5 times the rate of whites in 2021, according to internal data. Blacks in LA committed anti hate crimes, crimes at 7 times the rates of whites. An anti semitic hate crimes 2.4 times the rate of whites. Blacks committed anti trans hate crimes at two and a half times the rate of Hispanics. There were no white suspects in anti trans hate crimes in LA in 2021. Blacks committed anti Hispanic hate crimes in Los Angeles at 13.5 times the rate of whites in 2021. 'Insurrections and Double Standards' With Heather Mac Donald

"Life. Welcome back, I'm talking to Heather McDonald, who has written a lot of stuff for city journal. Okay, so the piece we're talking about now is the January 6th piece called insurrections and double standards. So it's the same theme, there's this kind of woke narrative, and the only problem is it's become weaponized. You have the United States government throwing people in jail. I mean, it sickens me because I've had some of those people on this program and to hear their stories. I can't believe there's levels of injustice. It's one thing for some educated suburban housewife who's a docent at the Art Institute of Chicago to be sent packing. Like that's bad. Yeah. But to have people have their doors broken down to be arrested and humiliated because they dared to show up at the nation's capital, they didn't break anything. They didn't kill anyone. They didn't strike anyone. And so there's this narrative. And again, the worst part of it for me is that you're told, don't talk about it. Don't dare talk about it because you need to show that you're on board with this narrative. And if you don't show that you're on board with this narrative, you're probably part of the problem. Right. Well, on the one hand, I'm not going to go immediately to well they were a Jean provocateur. I think there is, I believe, in personal responsibility. And if you were trespassing, if you were vandalizing, you absolutely should be held accountable. That having been said, though, Eric, by the way, I'm against vandalism. Just to be perfectly clear. Let's just be perfectly clear. There were actions that day that should not be repeated. Correct. And if this becomes the norm, if you believe rightly or wrongly that an election was rigged, you should not, that does not entitle you to do this. But I will say this. You don't know when we pull the emergency court because you're absolutely right, there is a double standard here in the way these people have been treated compared to the Black Lives Matter rioters. And I've just read believe it or not, for the first time 1984, it terrifies me. It's part of my reading of gulag archipelago, narratives of Soviet totalitarianism, the thought of a government that has you have no hope for justice, the very instruments and institutions of justice are biased, the great human yearning is the possibility of an impartial hearing, a tribunal that you can come that you can tell the facts and get an impartial hearing. If we've lost that, it is all

Heather Mac Donald: Distort the Present, Rewrite the Past

"Welcome back, I'm talking to Heather McDonald, who's with the Manhattan institute and has written some pieces at the city journal. We're talking about the issue of the arts, the institute, the Art Institute of Chicago. And what you said, what bothers you is that the people who are guardians of these things, that their whole job, their whole raison debt, forgive me for using a white French term. I apologize. But that they have abdicated their role. Exactly. So why? Why? Because they're cowards because they do not want to stand up against the mob. They want to be accepted by The New York Times to get Holland Carter, The New York Times art critic to write a. Slave appreciation of their antiracist stance. And I guess they simply maybe come up came up during a time when this poison was already infecting the academy. And they've just absorbed it. But I can't really explain it because I know that if I were in that situation and had the slightest understanding of the greatness that I was being asked merely to celebrate merely to understand and to teach young people why they should be down on their knees in gratitude for, I would stand up and say, I am not going to accept these phony charges of racism, but they don't. They embrace it. You'd have to ask them. I mean, it is one of the puzzles of our time of why we are so

Heather Mac Donald Describes the Practice of 'White Culling'

"Now Heather McDonald welcome. It's always great to be with you here. You're fun to talk to and you've recently written a couple of pieces for the city journal that I thought we really should talk about them. I'd love to have you on to talk about them and thanks for coming by. What should we talk about first? I think the one about the museums, if you talk about we can talk about white calling at the Art Institute of Chicago. White culling, white whites are being told, yes, yes. This is a sort of one of the more explicit manifestations of the cultural moment we're in with Black Lives Matter. The accusation that western civilization is culpably white. The Art Institute of Chicago decided to terminate all of its docents for the one reason that they were white. And as such, they were seen as inappropriate to teach Chicago school children about the wonders of this extraordinary art collection. Or put another way whitey needs to shut up more. Exactly. I mean, really, like when I hear this stuff, you know, because I think I preserve what mental sanity I still have by looking away from many of these things because they're so horrifying. But it is astonishing. So the larger theme of the piece that you wrote at city journal is the art world, museums have, they've taken in. They've drunk the cultural Marxist

Mike Lindell, CEO of My Pillow, Gives Us a 2020 Election Update

"Now again, people haven't been following this. You're in the weeds. You know the details. Give us the big picture of what happened. There was an autumn in Maricopa County months ago. Let's start there. What happened with Arizona? Everybody remembers. If everybody remembers that months ago, when America audit, which took, I don't know, 7, 7 months, 8 months, you know, took quite a long time. All these volunteers, all these other people that were days and days and that weeks and then months on the side, it comes out and they grab the paper part of it and they say, what recounted the paper, it looks like by one, even Fox put a little bluff and they never talk, you know, boxes in on it, period. So the very, I mean, Karen fan whose president of the Senate at that time did not, she was kind of an obstructionist to not dig any deeper into this. And with, well, the auto kept going on, okay? All the stuff that was purported that was going to come out at the camp coming out that the Senate got to see in the legislatures in Arizona. Well, here's what happened yesterday, everybody. Okay, I got to go back to one thing about three months ago I get a call from this lady and her name is Heather honey and she was from Pennsylvania and she goes, miss julinda, she says, you don't know me, but I got your number. I was one of the ones that was part of the audit. We worked every day for months. And she said, the media, she said it's come out. They're lying. And they're lying and they're not showing the truth. She says, and she wasn't even Eric should not even have. You know, I don't even know she had Democrat or public. She was just a citizen that was working on this for months and a part of her job. Well, anyway, I said, and she goes, she felt horrible. She goes, how can I be in this country, whether the media is not talking about about what really happened? I said, you know what? That's the space we're in right now, Heather, but I said, I will promise you, I told her, this will not be in vain. All your hard work in Arizona, all the people that they've done there that they just would not give up on their election to save our country. Well, guess what? Yesterday, Heather,

'The Diversity Delusion' Author Heather Mac Donald on Young Americans' Move to the Left

"So Heather, I want to ask you about the study from axios that I'd love to get your commentary on it. The essence is that it shows that young people are going far to the left and they're not basically staying. And they're not conservative as conservatives prior generations. What would you attribute this to? You talk about this a lot in the diversity delusion. You talk about the several dynamics that come into play. How would you explain this? Well, it's a combination of overt ideology and prosperity. Decades decades, decades in America of stable society, limited government, extraordinary conquest of poverty, want disease, premature death, and young people have absolutely no idea what the west has accomplished to make their lives so, so cushy and so opportunity filled, but then of course that's the background and the more overt politicization is coming from the elite classes in the education establishment. And that are dedicated to tearing down the west that are filled with anti white hatred. They hate a civilization being too white and male. And they're very few competing voices. The establishment, you know, in the 50s, the establishment used to be viewed as conservative. And indeed, it often was the American bar association, the American medical association. These institutions were regarded as guardians of traditional bourgeois norms, respect for property, respect for the rule of law. And now they are almost indistinguishable from Brown university or Yale University or Harvard in their dedication to this phony ideology that says the white white supremacy and white racism is the defining characteristic of American

A Troubling Trend Facing the Future of America

"Girls age 27 and 30 living in California. I can attest to the fact that the supply of quality eligible men is in short supply. Not for the lack of offers. My girls are not married. But sure would like to be. Married with kids and WK. Is that what that means? I've never seen that acronym before. I would love for their status to change, but a whole bunch of men do not have the same goals, lack ambition and are looking for either a someone to support them in every sense of the world or be a good time no more. I see that a lot. I see the feminization of the American male, where the woman, the female has to basically babysit the man, you see in this Conor? And it creates super unhappy women and also women have to become masculine, that's what college does is it creates basically tells these women, you should go succeed in the corporate world and order to do so you have to become super masculine, which also means you're going to become miserable. I mean, just the way it is. And some women, you know, end up liking it. Most women don't, honestly, and the entire kind of trajectory that we have is one that unfortunately instills weakness in men and unhappiness in women. So the brookings institution actually wrote about this. They were left wing think tank. And they talked at length about America's electoral future, the coming generational transformation. Says demographics are not destiny, but steady and predictable changes to the electorate play an important role in defining the landscape of American politics. And it talks about here that homeownership is going down. That having children is going down and marriage rates are going down. That inherently creates a more left wing society or a more Democrat society or a socialistic society when you have 33 year old women with college degrees and they're 33 years old and they don't have children and they're not married. What do you expect when all of a sudden there is a political party that comes out and says we can reappropriate the money we can redistribute the money I should say? It's rather appealing. And this is something

The Rich Get Richer While the Poor Get Poorer

"Producer Connor for example. Producer Connor is going to be our test case. I think did I mention this on air before? Maybe I did. So producer Connor got poorer this last year. Now he's going to use this as an advocating for a race, but I'll bring that, that's a separate conversation. How did producer Connor get poorer? Producer Connor what your mid 20s, right? Mid 20s works hard gets in early does a great job. He's 25. So he's right there. He is right on the chart. Andrew says we actually gave him a raise. Okay, it was an inflation adjusted race. But here's what's important. Listen, producer Connor got poorer. His rent went up by $600 a month. Is that correct, Connor? $600 a month. That means he has to pay 600 extra dollars a month, $7200 a year to live in the same place that he lived last year. So in order to just tread water in order for Connor just to stay the same, he has to earn an extra $600 a month just to break even. Whereas I have a mortgage. And my mortgage rate is fixed. And that doesn't go up. So I borrowed my mortgages can make a lot of sense, makes really conservative. Money. And therefore I become I'm fit in and it doesn't change mortgage payments, you could have a fixed rate, you could have a floating rate, but most are fixed. I actually am getting richer. The value of my home goes up, my payment stays the same, which actually goes down because the currencies inflated. So Connor the renter gets poorer, Charlie, the owner gets richer. I'm not trying to rub it in your face Conor. I'm just using you as an example. It's true. Your rulers betrayed you.

"We have an audit expert. Who's been doing. Phenomenal work for real america's voice. Heather mullins high going heather. Thank you for joining us today. Tell us what is the status of finding out what actually happened in the two thousand twenty election in the state of georgia charlie. There's actually quite a few investigations going on in georgia. The one most recently that i covered this week was A lawsuit filed by a group called voter. Gpa they're an election integrity group. That's been working in the state for over twenty years They filed the lawsuit. Too much unseal. And forensically analyze the absentee and mail in ballots in fulton. County georgia specifically. It's the exact same ballots that we saw in that state farm arena video that went viral of people scanning and ballots that they pulled out from underneath that people at one o'clock in the morning after observers were sent home well. Those ballots are the ones in question in this lawsuit and a judge so far have actually already unsealed then and what the the plaintiffs were given where the digital ballot images so every time a ballot is scanned in the voting machine Creates a digital and that is stored so they had access to those unfortunately in the resolution on images such poor quality that the forensic expert asked for a higher resolution and so where this case was a couple months ago was the judge had actually ordered that the town officials had to rescan those ballots at a higher resolution and hand them the images because georgia's secretary of state fouls degrees in his lawsuit claiming that it's anybody touch those ballots. It'd be felony. Charlie almost to try to like stop the audit from going forward and so this judges like all right. We'll working we're gonna take these people that can legally handle those ballots and we're gonna make them re skin them at a higher resolution so this case went back to court on monday and the attorney representing fulton. County is gonna georgia's talk criminal. Defense attorney is a guy named don samuel who tiny white collar criminal defense course at georgia university but then thinking right so he started saying that. The georgia bureau of investigation. The secretary of state office had already done an investigation and and there was no fraud like nothing was found and was basically trying to say you know grant my motion to dismiss this case. Will the judge said. Can you cite the report. Is anybody in this courtroom. Have any report from the secretary of state office. The georgia bureau investigation on anything. You have to understand that you're a product of evolution that your brain is a product of evolution and then once you understand the forces of evolution in how we got here. Then maybe just maybe we can find our way out of it. So what are the key elements to being a product of evolution. That you think people miss that we must understand if we're going to navigate our way well out of this valley of evolution. Let me say. I That the title hunter-gatherers guide to the twenty first century evokes that sort of romanticised hunter-gatherer on the african savannah of the paleolithic. Which of course is a part of our human history and does have many lessons in it to teach us about who we are now and who can become but as we say in the book we are all parts of our history like we are not just hunter-gatherers. We are also right now post industrialists and their evolutionary implications of that. Go a little farther back a lot. Farther back depending on your framing. And we are agriculturalists. Go farther back. Were hunter-gatherers go further back were primates were mammals. Were fish all of these moments of our evolutionary history We'll have left their mark in us and have something to teach us about both what our capacities are and what our weaknesses are and what we can do going forward. And i would add the lessons from evolution. are both good and bad here. One thing that we realized that our students over the course of many years of teaching this material realized was that everything about our experience as human beings is shaped by our evolutionary nature. And that has a very disturbing upshot because we are fantastic creatures with an utterly mundane mention the very same mission that every other evolved creature has to logic genes in the future. And this actually explains the nature not only of our physical beings but of our culture and our perception of the world so understanding that all of that marvelous architecture is built for an utterly mind-numbing purpose is an important first. "The texas law has gone into effect. And we'll go through it a little bit more specifically with a little more specifically with With heather but let's hear rich lowry on msnbc with chuck todd and claire mccaskill opine. About this i mean. This is the big thing that they're doing now. They're saying there's no big deal. Because i think there is in heather and i will talk more about this. And we'll talk more about this too but the if democrats are smart they're going to leverage this at least from electoral stamp point on top of everything else that needs to be done but here is. Here's rich lowry hunt. Msnbc we're in in wisey on msnbc. Well i people are acting as a row has been overturned. I would welcome that outcome. And it may eventually be in stops case but it hasn't been overturned yet at all this is a procedural ruling that clearly was the correct one. There was no harm here yet. The eight defendants had done nothing even joining them. If if that's what happened wouldn't have stopped this law. Because they had their government officials have for second positive law positive. One second first off roe v. Wade and casey which is Another case which basically says you cannot abridge this right in a meaningful way had certainly roe. V wade says that you may not that. I felt like it was still very intimate just me or no. I feel like the way that it was just closed off and everywhere had a space. It wasn't like empty pockets anywhere. It just felt like I could walk to, like I could walk in see everybody and I had, like I could see literally from where I was sitting everyone which was perfect. So I feel like I could make eye contact with people. I would say hi like it was just good. And I could walk over it just didn't feel like it was like a ballroom, where it was like, right. You're you lose people. Did you feel like you know some people say at their wedding? They don't get to everyone. Did you feel like you would as Scott? I loved that it was just four tables. Right. So I could just go to one table. Do my rounds Etta table around blow the game. Yeah. Judge funded thing you got to make around. Yes. I forgot to talk about with the cards. I mean, honestly for for my fiftieth, when you had everyone bright, one word about me, like I say them. All right. That was that was really incredible. And another year for my birthday, you had a jar. And everyone wrote little slips I saved like that. That's just really special. So I was trying to come up with something that you could handle. I mean, that would be like right for this event ever. So I kept going back to the food thing so that, okay. What about an old fashioned recipe card box? Yeah. So Nicole was like great. Bill detects ABC, and I go, no, no, no, I go right? Everyone's name that came to the shower, and then we'll do like recipe cards. That'll be their advice to you. But the other thing was really just wanted to focus. Right. So I went out in the hallway and have my cars used yourself, Gary politely, and then you walked at site. But I told him exactly what do you know what I just need to focus. I'm going to go in the hallway. I'll see you guys out there. And we'll hang out after his. And of course, they completely understood went on the hallway. But what forgot was that people know who I am. So I'm standing in the hallway basically taking pictures with people walking by doggy to be. Oh, having a moment with people like, oh, this is sort of digging. The hump is. Okay. Wasn't with them who you were going to be on stage with right? Yeah. So funny. So I'll tell you my experience from it. And then you will tell me your experience. So this is how I felt about the whole thing. I thought in general it was a very successful. I loved our guests. They were all I mean, clearly all very bright well-spoken women who had so many interesting things to say and share and even the vulnerable moments with Whitney and watching Brooklyn take care of her and I loved watching Jacqueline talk to the guest in the audience. It was just very cool. I feel like I learned a lot and the I saw so many people took photos during it, and we're posting on social media and writing girl bosses and and even afterwards, the the people that came up too. I was surprised there were so many men there. I know me too. But so many people came up after. Awards and said what they had learned. And what they what their takeaway was which is exactly the point. Yeah. So I felt really great. And then I got to hang out with the girls afterwards. But this all right. So now, here's me being hypercritical. I felt a little clunky at the beginning. Because I felt like I knew exactly what I wanted to say. And where it was going with it. And how I wanted to say it, but the waiting like, I said me placing a so much pressure on myself. Made me a little bit nervous. And I just at the top felt like it was clunky. And I have to be one hundred honest. I haven't listened to it yet. Because I'm worried about how I'm gonna feel about it. When I listened to it, and I have to watch the footage of it. So I'm kind of waiting. I don't know. But my internal was in general. It went great, and it was very successful. But if I could have had a take two on the opening I think I would have. I don't think. So I think that you did. I mean, you're a natural at this. Obviously, you wouldn't have this platform if you weren't, and you know, I was telling you right after the event, but it's, you know, seeing you do anything live or seeing you do any event. I'm always like, look, I'm biting my nails like, okay. Okay. How she gonna do because I know you're gonna do great..

"You're listening to Heather do broS world not that good Cova last night. Because after the whole Oscar thing, right? I wanted her to go to bed because terriers looking for some romance. So, and you know, he had told me earlier in the day. Okay. I have been apart for a few days. And so I wanted her to go to bed right like bedtime. She can't you stay with me till I fall Z by. I think it's time for your goals. All stay here for like, ten minutes. Rub your head. And then I think, you know, and she started hysterically crying, and I begged gimmick blaze goes there. And he did he did he's been so good this weekend. I had this secret special errand had to run on Saturday. And I said you have to come with me because I have to bring cocoa, and you have to watch her, and he was like really pleased came with me so cute at lunch with CoCo is really nice. That's good. He's such a good always. So sweet not. Ever seen him. Not sweet. I mean, of course, everyone's different their family when you're casual not one time if I ever seen him, not not just sweet, but like overly consider it. He's a very good boy. But you know, I'm as bombs so he's going to walk all over you. Of course question. How is your morning this morning because I posted something on Instagram this morning, and I've already got so many comments getting back into the routine. Yeah. Because the kids were off for a week and here it is Monday the first day back. Yes. How is your morning? I just cushion an extra half hour. And so it was fine. Like, I feel like they need more time to get up and get into the routine. So I did everything earlier too. So I literally planet extra thirty minutes. So it was super smooz. So you woke them up three minutes earlier and let them happened thirty minutes earlier. And then we still got out right at this normal time. Like, LeRoy took an extra half hour. Honestly, that's genius. Like, I feel like if you know, look I knew going into the night before. And like, okay, I'm gonna lay out all the clothes put up a lunch things out. So it's like a quicker thing and just start thirty minutes before. And so then it's not as painful because otherwise I started to be like, I've asked you ten times together bit of Ed. But this time it's like I woke them up. I got one dress like you can just take a little bit more time with it. And then you don't Li they don't start their day like hurried in raising your voice. Oh, it's so smart. How did it go for you? Not so good. So I got up the normal time. And I woke did my normal routine woke up Nikki for his notes. So crazy I wake up in age order to really wake max up for as she takes longer. Yes. Have to start doing that. Anyway. So I woke the twins up laid out Nikki's toothbrush. I always did. Got max up and said hi to Mark the tortoise and then went into get the little ones and CoCo was sleeping in cat spat. Okay. Because I think she was upset last night because I had Nikki go in there. Want to come in my ribs as you went into poor cat was Zo gnawed anyway. So cocoa slept in their woke them up and from the moment cocoa odor. Is. She was crying and whining. It's hard to get back into it at you're going to bed late waking up late. It's just and the freedom. Yeah. Totally. And I totally got it. I wasn't even I didn't raise my voice. I was not mad at all. So understood I just kept going. I get but she was just crying wanna go. Don't wanna go to school yet. I just give today. Like, Honey, I know I understand. But you gotta go, and I just kept talking or just keep moving along and moving along and brush her teeth for her like, I'm her ladies. Helped her with the closed like I'm or ladies made pull up underwear. Cut off the tag. New thing. She great fuller..

"You're listening to Heather do broS world. Then I do pick up Katharina, and she was having headshots taken. Yes. Okay. The girl has been begging me for head shots for three months from my gosh. And I was like, well, why do you want headshot? She's like everyone has headshots like meaning and her theater competition group. So that okay, they post them on the wall at the theater company. She wants head shot. I had had our photographer. Take pictures of her which I thought were pretty fabulous. Yeah. When we did the holiday shoot. Nope. She wanted to go to a headshot photographer. Okay. That's cool. I get it. And then leading up so she sent me the place. She wanted to go to that her friend goes to the whole thing. So she picked this photography studio. Look it up light and shined photography husband and wife own the business, and that's what they do. They do head shots in modeling things and whatnot. So, and they do hair and makeup and everything. So I looked at it. It's a little pricey. But I thought okay, this is you know, what she wants. So as we lead up to the shoot all of a sudden now, it's about the clothes to look on their website. Now, how many headshots have I taken in my life on his Hon a gazillion, and I don't even do that anymore because I don't need headshots like that. But you know, she needs she wants one of those classic commercials shot. Yeah. And all. You do and whatever. And so I look up there. Guidelines for what to pick? And I took her shopping. We bought a few new tops. She could've used things that weren't closet, but I just wanted to give her a little experience of experience together. And so as we're leading up to shoot us like, so what are we using these four? I don't know. Why did you want them? She was like, well, can I go on auditions for what she's like, you know, for TV and movies? And is that what she wants to do apparently. And I said, no, no, we're not going to be doing that didn't really say it in that kind of nasty way. But it was like, you know cat. I don't really think that twelve years old is the right age to be driving up back to Los Angeles and missing school, and she's like, well, so and so just auditioned for fill in the blank musical off Broadway. And I said, I are they going to move to New York because we can't really move to new and I was trying to explain to her that there's four kids in the family, and that Dadan aren't really transcend. She doesn't want to hear any of that. All she wants to hear is that she can do this. Now, here's me being a thousand percent, honest, number one, she's already she can't go on an audition for a television show. She's not ready to do that. But that doesn't mean she's not telling it doesn't mean she won't be able to do that. But she's also so cute. Did she maybe could book something, but I think that's doing a disservice because is not the education of the craft of acting isn't where it needs to be do you think that she could learn on the job, and it's part of sort of the experience part of the growth for me. No, you rather her go to school and experience things in her community and doing these sort of smaller like like the plays at school. You think that's sort of the first step before going and getting a job? Well, I also think that you know, I've been on sets with many kids before. Yeah..

"But I was pulling my skirt down because the leather because oh because they kept delaying it had wrinkles. And so I was trying to pull it straight. I don't know. I don't know. Anyway. So I got dressed and then they're like, okay. Well, we're we're delaying this little like turn ten thirty turned into ten forty five turned into whatever. And then they were finally ready for us. So we go up Beck upstairs through the coal Beckham upstairs and still had no water. And the guys they have like a kitchen behind the set there. They were like pouring tap water for us out of the thing. They were so funny. You know, what's cool about that set when you look around the crew, they're older. Okay. And they've been there since the Regis days. I would think so and I loved it. Yeah. I mean, there were some young people around to, but but mostly older seasoned people that have they just. Felt like all the things that you guys have seen. Yeah. It felt like how lucky for all of you to be part of this insane success. And it had that that energy. I mean, I've been on. Yeah. A number of shows in my time from scripted to the reality stuff done a lot of press there. You can tell when you walk under a set. Yeah. What the vibe is. Right. And this is a happy set. That's like Kelly ran they like each other better front. That's good their friends. This crew likes each other galman loves like this is just this is a good time. That's awesome. And it's why it's probably been so successful and super generous everyone so nice on my God. I mean, everyone sometimes when you to show it's kind of like not that. There's anything wrong with this. Everyone's doing job. Okay. Stan here aren't you're going to go next. And actually because you've done it a million times you got to get through. Now, it really felt like they were inviting you into their home. So great, okay. So what was it? You still haven't seen Kellyanne right at this morning now. Okay. So it's really cool. Is we get to walk out? Because sometimes when you do a segment like the one we were doing you start onset already. Yeah. So we got to walk out. And I was really she got to walk out together. We're holding hands. I think and I think I almost tripped. Because remember he said that the set was at the first thing, and they told us it would be like in the middle. I think I forgot that. Okay. And I almost wanted to go left, and then I did injure. And so then we we never got this other part while we were downstairs in our dressing room. They started the tape show, and we could see the feed and Kelly loves botched. Okay. So right at the beginning of the show, they're talking about whatever they're talking about. And they're talking about who's coming on the show. She's like I'm so excited. Heather, terry. We're here to shows I'm obsessive botch and Ryan's like, I know. I know so she goes on the whole long thing about botch was so cute. But then tearing are legitimate like oh my God. Is she just gonna to brush she's not going to want to talk about the diet? We're here talking about the diet. How do we handle that? And I'm like it'll be fine. Yeah. Whatever she because the two of them are so into health and fitness, right? So we we come out and they announce us and. And I almost trip, and then we get to the right set, and we walk around the table big hugs on like, I mean like long lost like you've been friends ever. She's so cute Ryan so kiss. She is just as tiny in person. Yes. But in perpetuity as time. No, right. But like, she's how tall..

"Hey, it's Adam parole up Heather Dubrow from Heather do grows world devolve from Steve. This rob Riggle in Karatina from wriggled pick doesn't Kaitlyn bristowe from off the vine. This is Kelsey from the lady gang happy new year from odd cast. This is Heather do broS world leading up here. It wasn't. Maximum regrouped. Very well. So she had a friend or at the problem is they didn't have plants. I think fifteen is a very difficult age to have New Year's plans because you're too young to do anything major and who's really having a party. So they had a friend that was having a party, and there were gonna sleep at this other girls house, and then they weren't going to do that. And I told her to have friends at our house that was fine. And so it was like a very back and forth. They didn't know what they wanna do K. So basically the night started with them figuring out their plans, Nikki got altitude sickness oh in big bear. So he's calling me every five minutes, which is fine. Because I feel terrible. I feel terrible from only got I'm literally can lease. No. It's like, oh, don't say. This is Heather thing. No. It's it's it's totally. Yeah. So anyway, so he's calling me every five seconds. And finally, I'm like, I'm giving him all the sweet mom things you to go take a shower. You have to stay hydrated. Do you have any more Zo Fran like did it? And then Finally, I called Julie, the mom. He's with is just give him Benadryl. Let them go to say. Yeah. So we had no nears eve. I basically knocked his ass out. And he went to bed, but I was like dealing with like a couple of hours imacs at her plans. Finding a way for them to get here hither and yon because then they weren't having people at the house, and then can't and cocoa. We're supposed to go to dinner. Those two the earliest dating of bathrooms, and then they refused to come. And they didn't want to get dressed and they wanted to stay in their pajamas. And why do we have to go, and then tear it I looked at each other? And we're like why are we making them go two minutes up the road? And at that point without max was going to be here. So it was like to stay home. And then Katharina found out that her whatever best friends was going to be at mastro's. So last minute she was like I want to go. Now, she wants to go. So now, I'm like in the last five. Oh moments of getting dressed, and we were going like early bird special five thirty. So I said to Cadillac will you gotta get cocoa. 'cause now max was going out. Okay. So I go to get cocoa. So finally cocoa's by reservation was at five fifteen. This was so funny, and I called mastro's I tell you this now I called measures and like so or reservations at five fifteen because I because they've to seatings. Yeah. The first one's regular menu. Second one is like the fancy New Year's Eve party, which I would assume starts at nine. Okay. So the second seating started at seven thirty. Okay. And I guess they do that. In case, people are lingering from the first seating. They have to change the tables. What have you know? Like, we go there all the time. We're not gonna kick you out, you know, whatever just come whenever K. So I finally get them dressed get everyone in the car. I remembered to bring the champagne I wanted hundred we go down to masters and her friend is sitting at the next table. Oh, Mike literally at the next table, which is great except now they're just texting each other. Meal. Lindsey told me that masters serves caviar. Okay. Now, I did not know this. How many years have you been going to master? So they did not so Terry. And I were there also like five days prior four days, and they showed it to me. And they just started carrying Petrosian.
