"One of those great people is a gentleman by the name of gianno Caldwell, Fox News political analyst, and host of the new I heart radio podcast that everybody's listening to. It's called out loud with johnno Caldwell's young author. He's a great guy. Welcome to the show, my friend, so great to have you with us today. Man, this has been so long since I've been on this. This particular radio show, you know, Sebastian, we go way back. He said that. Way back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He said he texted me, he said, wait, wait, Giotto tell giano I said, hey, you know? And Giotto, you know, full disclosure, Gianna's on my morning show this morning. And he said, I said, John, I want to jump on the air with us on this immortan Luther King day, and I appreciate it. John back from London, he is. He is the real powers. The real Austin Powers got a coworker. Zaggy baby. Yes, there you go. You know, haven't been in London since November. I can reaffirm what everyone already knows. There's no place like home America is truly the land of the free and we got to keep it as free as possible. And as Joe Biden is making that very, very difficult. For many people across the country, but thank God the Supreme Court got involved. I mean, too bad that Kavanaugh didn't have the backbone to say, no, we're going to no vaccine mandates on anyone. But here we are. Here we are. Yeah. And that's nice of you to say that because when you travel around, you know, my hero Frank Sinatra always said that. You know, he would always go around and he would say, he would go, you know, I always look forward and I always tell everybody, I'm from Hoboken, New Jersey baby. You come back to America, the greatest country of all is so

The streets normally filled with Children play have been strangely quiet 30 years later, her murder remains one of the nation's most high profile, kidnapping and killing cases. All in one off is a similar message. It tells when the receiving device that a played note has ended. So it might be when you have released a key or when vibrations stop along a string, and that message says all right at this point stop playing a note because there is no longer a thing that's generating that sound. Polyphonic. Keep pressure is another instruction that tells the receiving device how hard a key was pressed once it bottoms out in its lowest position. Some keyboards use this to add effects to notes, such as vibrato brought, Oh, by the way, that's a rapid variation and pitch. So you add a quick oscillation and pitch to create vibrato. It adds a richness to sound. Also, singers use it to cover up the fact that they can't hit a note. That's a little shade them throwing right there. Also, I do this too, so Control change is a message that indicates that some sort of controller has been activated to affect the quality of a sound controllers can take many forms. You could have pedals you could have knobs. The controlled change message contains information that indicates which controller was used and the signs of value from 0 to 1, 27, or 1 to 128, depending upon the implementation. Describe the magnitude of this change the pitch wheel change message records instances of pitch wheel use. That's not useful at all. Is it a pitch wheel is a control that allows a musician to affect the pitch of a played note, and they can control it dynamically. This creates the effect of bending a musical note. So if you've ever heard musical piece where a note is played, and then starts to shift to a different pitch without a new note being played That's kind of what a pitch wheel is able to do. And then there are system exclusive or CIS X messages. This allows for custom patches and effects. Manufacturers could use these messages to allow a mini controller to take advantage of unique features of their instruments, for example, So let's say you're a manufacturer, and you've got a synthesizer that has a new type of effect. And no other synthesizers have. This is proprietary. You've got this cool effect that no one else has been able to replicate. The CIS X feature would allow you to designate a method for a midi controller to engage that feature without sharing it to everybody else. Otherwise, you'd have a keyboard that has a really cool ability, but you'd never be able to use it through a MIDI controller. Because there'd be no way to designate that command. Right? You have your own proprietary effect. If you don't create a command for it in Midi, then the controller won't have any instructions that can send to the synthesizer to replicate it. Now, you can still get the effect by working with the synthesizer directly, but you wouldn't be able to send those midi instructions to any other. Device because there wouldn't there wouldn't be language to take care of that particular instance, sis sext messages allowed. For these exceptions. These custom patches a mini file has the extension M i d or mid If you could read these files in natural language, like if you were able to to translate this as a set of instructions. It would seem like really detailed instructions on how to play a certain piece of music. Not just what the notes are. But how to play those notes. It would be similar to reading sheet music, but only if the sheet music contained all sorts of minutia about the performance of the piece. And it's not just how that one piece should be performed. It's how that piece actually was performed once upon a time, So it means you're not just transcribing music. You are actually recreating a performance of a musical piece, and you can actually create a mid file by playing a midi enabled musical instrument connected to a computer. It's actually Sequencing. You're playing as you play it, So you are creating a precise record on how to play the same piece of music the exact same way in the future. So again, it's not a recording. It's a set of instructions, saying, if you want to play what I just played the way I played it, follow these instructions. Exactly, And it will be as if I were playing it all over again. Which is pretty cool all by itself. But an additional benefit of the MIDI system is that you can modify those instructions in different ways without affecting everything. So, for example, if you record a piece of music in some sort of conventional format and you then play it at a faster speed, you're going to increase the pitch. If I recorded a performance onto a physical medium like a vinyl record, and then I played the record back at a speed that was 1.5 times faster than what the normal playback would be. I was lying about Robert. But with mid files, you can increase the speed of a playback without affecting the pitch. You aren't speeding up a recording of a performance but rather decreasing the amount of time between instructions. And so you can change the temple of music easily without.

Scoop: Kids' border surge expected to last 7+ months

"I Heart radio. You're listening to the daily dive on use radio. Tell you f L, A welcome back to the Daily Dive Weekend edition. Finally, for this week, the surge of migrants of the border continues as expected to possibly less seven months as projections for September by Customs and border protection is anywhere from 22,000 to 25,000 migrants crossing the border. The administration is trying to get control over the situation. But the message is not reaching migrants and smugglers. Reuters recently spoke to over a dozen self identified smugglers to see how and why unaccompanied minors are crossing the border. In many cases, these smuggling operations can cost thousands for the migrants as they're transported by a variety of ways, even by plane. For more on how these smugglers air getting it done will speak to Laura got Steiner, Reuters correspondent based in Mexico, But some of the migration that we're seeing in context I mean, for a number of years Now we've been seeing an increasing number of families and Children coming from Central America. This is something that we saw under the Obama administration to the Trump administration and now under the five in administration. As you mentioned as well. Migration trends tend to be seasonal. So migration tends to pick up in January and February and then go through until you start to get the sub warmer summer months, And then it becomes more dangerous. So you know, it is definitely the case that there are more Migrants, particularly families and unaccompanied Children traveling to the U. S border than we've seen in previous months at the same time, you know, we saw a huge increase in the number of families and unaccompanied minors as well coming in 2019. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo faces growing calls to resign

"For Governor Andrew Cuomo to step down as the governor of the state of New York or raising our getting to a fever pitch. As more allegations continue to come to light. Now, six women have accused him of input inappropriate behavior. And the State Assembly has actually more Democrats and Republicans more than 60 Democrats calling for him to step down. Is the average New Yorker. Think about this. Let's talk to Steve Casting bomb is a veteran New York journalist and a host of the new podcast called New York Gritty. You could follow him on Twitter at S cast in bomb. Listen to the New York gritty podcast on the I Heart radio app or and why gritty com Gorgeous Steve, Thanks for joining us. My pleasure. Thanks for having me. All right. Tell us about this. Now that the day I saw that married de Blasio really went after Governor Cuomo again. They don't like each other. That's obvious, but he was really hard at him yesterday, didn't he? Yeah. The mayor of New York City just flatly called for the governor to resign now, which is the furthest he's gone. And as you correctly stated, there is no love lost between the mayor of New York and Governor Cuomo. They've long butted heads. We saw that. Come to a head at the start of the pandemic. When married. Blasio wanted Torto issue a shelter in place order, and the governor said. I'm the only one who cannot issue in a shelter in place order, So you know they have not gotten along. They haven't seen I die for a long time. But this is the furthest the mayor has gone and he joins other high ranking Democrats in the state who are now calling for the governor to resign. Yesterday, the Democratic speaker of the State Assembly announced that they were launching in an impeachment investigation. Not an impeachment trial, yet they're starting an investigation. And that this would run parallel to the attorney general's independent criminal investigation. See. What do you think the average guy in the street thinks about all this? I think it's I think most people are disturbed by this for sure. I mean the latest allegation coming from a source close to an aide of the governor on down that person claims that the governor put his hand beneath her blouse and probably her. But there weren't more details about Whether his hand was on her back on her son, But he's supposedly did this in the governor's mansion when they were in a room alone together. According to the allegation, You know, you know, this governor has long had a reputation of being someone who ruled. The capital with an iron fist, and he often steamrolls over people on created a lot of enemies. The process on does sometimes been called the bully. Some ex employees of his administration have said that he created a toxic work environment. So you know, there's there's long been stories about the governor. There was corruption issues be Moreland Commission, which was investigating corruption ended with the indictment and conviction of a close aide to Governor Cuomo. And then he shut down the more than commission after touched his office. So you know, there's a lot of history there. And then, of course, already the stories about the, uh the cover up of the number of death coronavirus amongst the people who had been residing in nursing homes, so he's got a lot of trouble that's been following him around over the years. It seems to have You know, come to a head, but I don't think anyone saw these. These, you know, sexual harassment allegations coming. There were so many other things plaguing Cuomo over the years. This sort of came out of nowhere. To use the process for impeachment, the same as it is for the United States. For a present, for example, is it a vote of one part of the assembly and then a vote by the other to convict after a trial? They would need to be. Ah, just a simple majority in order to impeach him. But first, there would have to be an investigation, and now they have the power. The Judiciary Committee has the power to subpoena witnesses here and look at all of the evidence to gather evidence and examine it first veracity on again. This is happening simultaneously alongside the Attorney general's independent investigation. She hired a couple of other criminal investigators recently T o do this on so that you know there. There's a a two pronged front. As these allegations are examined on D evidence has looked at so right now They're six women who have leveled claims against the governor. But I don't think at this point that that anyone would be surprised given how this has gone in recent days. If more women now feel Comfortable coming forward,

"heart radio" Discussed on News Radio 1190 KEX

"Heart radio's number one for podcast and it's easy to see why listen to new twirled on the I heart radio app however you get your podcasts I think and weather together just minutes from now at the bottom of the hour news radio eleven ninety K. E. axe very fascinating point of view here in the upcoming call this is Eric in Prescott Arizona great to have yours are really glad you waited through all that hello skyrocketed honesty with you enough my family my husband doctors do you thank you on it I want wanted to point out there is so many similarities more than I can mention here trying to clean this existential crisis with a virus and one that is climate change it but in both cases we have scientists and the scientific community as if you pointed out in the doomsayers what we do something about it and climate change it gets hotter colder weather we social difference or not you have a California and you have a New York but the one thing that we can do to face an existential crisis in both cases is fundamentally change our economy and how the country looks in my observation is with this although it's much like a quicker and it's run the climate change is if it is kind of like a dry run the green new deal isn't that kind of that's it that is what fascinates me because I as you know read a bunch of tech blogs written by a bunch of mold land the old age left wing know it alls and they think this is great they think that there are stories throughout the tech blogs about how pollution levels are down and that we're saving the planet from climate change with this is they're saying this is exact they're praising the virus because this is what's been necessary to save the planet why would why there's while it's killing people they're praising it because this is the kind of a and and the fact that it's going on now for however long proves we can do it and that we can do it for a longer period since you are really perceptive out there Eric because I'm telling of the green new deal crowd and the climate change crowd is going to latch on to this and they're gonna say not only can this save us from run away diseases this is what's necessary to stop C. O. tools and to save the planet from dreaded climate J. you are right on the money and it's going to take it's going to take a massive concerted political effort to to fight this back yeah yeah yeah absolutely right I don't think I saw the article this morning you could finally see the the Himalayas I'm from India and that that you know that the clouds are really going away and and I guess my question to you is is it with Jack sinister not sinister but I just kept it cool look at the model predictions is are they just trying to kind of give us a taste for it is this the driver unintentionally and then because we can't vote on this obviously what are you asking is the virus manufactured as a dry run to shut things down to save the planet for climate change is that what you're asking use the model grab another with like I said earlier we do something or not millions will die actually no just sixty thousand will die yep obviously too many answers yeah he pointed out there is is this an opportunity to use the models and there's the scientists who are infallible and we all try to face the threat of being called scientific your science well look here's the answer to your question is that models are the sole source of evidence for climate change for forty years that's all the evidence there's at that which is not evidence models are just projections we don't have any evidence that the models are right the models make their predictions thirty and forty years out now in climate change because that's how you avoid accountability thirty forty years out remember what the models and the models are being you is like polling is used to shape public opinion not reflected I saw the models are already in use there's nothing they can learn from the model usage here in corona virus it's the other way around the white models are using climate change is guiding the way they're being used here in addition to this pope Francis are you ready for this pope Francis the pope feel Papa said that he believes the trying com corona virus pandemic is certainly nature's response to our failure to address human induced climate change he was asked by a British journalist whether covert nineteen is an opportunity for ecological conversion and it'll Papa reasserted his belief humanity has made the nature mad by not responding adequately the climate crisis and soul nature has responded by giving us coronavirus this is the pope the vicar of Christ on Easter weekend Donald Trump is doing more for Easter celebrations on the pope as for crying out loud we want to help with that chance and one thousand dollars tags the nationwide.
