"Shot up big time. Thank you to Munich. Times. Of course, known all over the football universe. Again, you can hear on the meantime showing NFL live every day. Is a obviously a seahawks fan but. Has. Planted her flag on the Dallas Cowboys long ago for the twenty twenty season. So hopefully, she's correct that they are going to be very good things ultimately bear out it is week three and if the cowboys lose well, Hey, you know there's a lot of season left but. I think we're all excited to see what goes down this weekend. I do think it things of shootout and I. Don't mean this the way it sounds but people really. Obviously Lean on the twenty thirteen cowboys broncos game. One of. Tony. Romo's greatest games against peyton manning. That was an awesome day. Awesome game whatever this of feels to me like this. This is peak Dakhla deck maybe. I hesitate to say the peak of his powers, but certainly, really moving and grooving up against Russell wasn't. This could be a really awesome fun quarterback battle, which would make for a stressful football game, which would, of course, be a lot of fun. We'll certainly see the week shakes out I did want to mention again, you can go back in and you can listen to Munis interview with Hayden hearst on ESPN daily. Just you know if you can't find it, they're google it and I promise you can find it on interview well, worth listening to and you read what Hayden wrote as mentioned as well. Two Seattle Seahawks earn Player of the Week honors after dominant Week 1 win

"Maybe, the most impressive team of the day was Seattle. Russell Wilson was thirty one of thirty, five, Oh my God for three, hundred, twenty, two, yards, four touchdowns no picks. That's ridiculous. Thirty one of thirty five metcalf picked up where he left off big day and they destroyed Atlanta and and I think that NFC west is just going to be fascinating all year long Seattle's not going to have a home field advantage. You're not GonNa have that twelfth man thing they got going out there but man, they're they're good and they're a veteran team I I think Seattle. Really is going to be a very difficult to deal with this year that quarterback may be in the prime of his career right now what year nine for him it is e was so special in that game. He was so good. It's just he's. Become. So, much fun to watch play fast the operates and how he's really gotten such a feel for the game. Become what Sean mcvay would call an extension of the offensive coordinator He's in control. It was also game that Matt Ryan threw for four, hundred, fifty they were down I mean, Julio Jones, at Fifty Ridley at one, hundred, thirty gauge to gauge at and fourteen. They, Have Hayden hearst they IRV Smith I think Atlantic could be good. Are you nervous? Your Calvin Ridley project a little bit based off of this buyer sell so. That's where I'm trying to bring. Out, everything comes back to Hayden I. Do you know that right in the world nine hole I just WanNa see. Hayden hearst is on the team. Yes, Hayden hearses one of the leaders statistically in anticipated effect. The theoretical numbers now I just had Hayden hearst a little bit lower, and I moved eight her stop a little in my projections, and that came at the expense of a little bit of my Calvin really projects and I had I had Ridley ahead of Ellen. Robinson and I didn't like that. Yeah I. Don't like that. either. So I made a small adjustment and hearst went up a little bit. Ridley came down just a little. And you know Matt Ryan has talked. Up Hayden extensively, and it's not like we don't. Have you know we've got the Matt Ryan Tony Gonzales Air. We've got the Matt Ryan. Austin Hooper era there is a World Hayden hers his heavily involved in a volume standpoint so i. just think we've had so much focus on Julio and Calvin. Ridley this off season, but Russell, gauge and Hayden. Hearse will be involved in this offense. Jason will remind us of Todd Gurley involved the passing game, too, so try. "Guy Left Out Andrews the tag the tight end from from Oklahoma. He's he's really good player. They drafted is Hayden hearst on the Ravens to I mean they do have some weapons weapons like if you told me that like Derek Carr was their quarterback or something I I would be a little more bullish on their hidden hearses a Baltimore. Even I mean they got. They do have some talent on offense. I'm not going to people think I'm a hater later but hidden hurts you only thirteen ball. WHO's obviously hurt last year? I mean there's not much excuse they got multiple tight ends. They got a legit deep threat. They got a pretty sweet all kind of complete running back again. Why Sweet Mark Ingram's is a very very solid running back? He's like he's like a better version. I he's like a poor man. Sprint Gore does everything well but nothing spectacular but he's not that good you. You know what I'm saying. I Li- I like marketing room. I've always like mark. Ingram has kind of turned around his career a couple years ago Ray podcasts. You're massively underrated deserve more recognition cut. Is this my mom. You said you need some questions so here. You go which position in the N._F._l.. Has the widest gap gap between the best player in the second best player at the position actually heard I think like Russillo podcast. He did this question and they all said Aaron Donald the problem I have with Aaron. Donald is like when Fletcher Cox is pretty freaking good like Aaron Donald Hall of Famer but Fletcher Cox Hall of Famer too so I don't think the gap is that crazy obviously quarterback. You know the top three or four relatively close. The receivers are all jumbled. I mean the running back. You'd go well Todd Gurley. Shot Levian hasn't played in the year Kamara. Is it really a workhorse you know between the tackle guy but he's pretty remarkable. I mean Zeke is probably the best all around running back but if levy on solid he's pretty damn good to <hes> I'd have to tax on my pro scouting buddies about the line <hes> leuke cly Bobby Wagner pretty close. WHO's the best corner right now Ramsey? I don't know that's that's a hell of a question. I don't have a great answer for you. I would say the biggest gap in the N._F._l.. Is Between Bell Jack in the second best. Coach dairies guys is one of the top running backs coming out of last year's draft but was missed the season because he tore. What should we expect from him coming into this year? I mean obviously everyone I knew in the League loved him coming out of college. I liked him a lot. Coming out of college did have some character some red flags lags off the field but that should necessarily hurt his ability to play. If he's healthy I I would say you know depends who their quarterback is case. keenum starts half the year then you know what's his name from Ohio State Dwayne Haskins. I think redskins are just GonNa suck you know I'm a big Chris Thompson Fan. I Love Chris Thompson. If darris Guy Starts Volun- and Chris Thompson should be had I mean that's a we talked a lot about N._B._A.. Trade pieces people people should be all over traded for Chris Thompson so I'd say eight to nine hundred yards. It'd be a pretty successful quote unquote rookie year the nerds of P._F.. Have concluded that statistically the Green Bay packers had the best a line in the league last season. They just gave up the Thermo Sachs is this. Is this a flaw of Aaron Rodgers or just nerves being nerds. That's a good question is it nerd being nerds one fairness the P._f...

"He said he styling on this Browns defense that was supposed to Greg Williams has the blitz because people have figured out this option thing. All right. So Lamar's run him by himself down the ends on the Olympian that kept them from getting third rushing. Touchdown was this phantom holding call on Hayden Hearst. And then there's a fraction of an inch. That keeps them from four rushing touchdown on the day. And so, but how about that? I mean the. Everybody. Everybody has that been has that now in the second half of the season. The first half of the season was all about Patrick Mahomes and the undefeated Rams, and how long can they keep this going and look at what drew Brees is doing? They're they're they're rounding into a contender. But the second half of the season for me has been the demise of and I'm a Steelers guy. So maybe I'm overstating this the demise of the Steelers. What the hell happened after they if I would've told you if I would've told you on Thursday night football when the Steelers are winning eighty seven zero against the Carolina Panthers who had been on a roll themselves coming in there. If I would've told you in that moment. Oh, hey, by the way this team's not gonna make the playoffs. And oh, by the way, Rosberg is not going to get hurt or anything. There's going to lose the bump teams as they do. And they're just going to miss out on the playoffs. Your jaw would hit the floor. But the bigger picture is the officiating has been so bad in the second half of the season. There's no way around that. And it's inexplicable when it's so. We got back there. Eventually, it's. Sometimes there's just not good. Knots enabling you talk about a day that's a name whether or not good they may doing beings and they make mistakes. Yes. But we can fix those mistakes. We yes. Tactile been saying this, I take I took some great videos that where I can show it to you in slow MO of my kids jumping on it believes. It's great stuff. So surely, we figure out how to have the officials get video evidence of what's happening before they blow. Call Tate how games and in which seems make the playoffs. And we we got chips in the ball right now. We got the ball. We got we got a car size robot. That's been drive around Mars for seven years. I know it's neat. We still bought the football with chains eyeballs for no reason. I don't I don't know why we do that we could fix it. We can fix it in one off season. And the green light goes up. It's not like, well, this would take a committee to know. And it wouldn't take any time with the here's the craziest thing of all about the pass interference. That's not reviewable. It's the biggest the biggest by yardage by far and away. The biggest penalty you can drop on a team. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. What was that close to the hand? Pass interference not reviewable give them sixty yards. What is happening here? But the other ones are review. It's insane. Been been captain of the hashtag make it reviewable campaign. Here's some people are like oh little take too long. It's like I'm investing three hours into this football game. Anyway, I would just like to see the outcome of the game determined by the players that play it and not by an official who maybe of upset that somebody said something to him and they're mad. And so now they're gonna throw a personal foul because somebody somebody taunted, and it doesn't fit with how we won't football. Get all that out of there in basketball. They have no problem making calls based on contact that creates an advantage. So just do that with pass interference ofensive indefens-. Did this guy push a guy maybe did a given unfair advantage? Yeah. Throw the flag. I it's something that we can all see instantaneously the replay takes too long. It takes five seconds. That's the problem. The problem is that we can see that. They are wrong. Now. You could let it go generations ago because. There were a couple of replay reviews. I watch old football games. All the time online. I love watching the old games from nineteen seventy nine in one thousand nine hundred eighty six and whatever..

"And he leads the team and that's on a team with Michael Crabtree who is not having a bad season himself, but Hayden established himself last week as a very indispensable player. We talked about Ben Rothlisberger being indispensable on the offense. I think it's safe to say that Hayden's existence on that team this week on that defense was the difference between a win and a loss because without Joe Haden, I don't think that defense holds up enough to go ahead and win that game, and I'll go as far as. Sing the Joe Hayden against Kansas City. That's a different ballgame because they're, they're going to be going to. You'll keep less teams in the end zone at that point. So Hayden is going to lock down that side against John Brown. John Brown said, goes across the middle. That's an opportunity for the ravens to score, and he's also becoming a deeper threat forum to down the middle. So he could stretch the defense hated needs to lock them down. And I think that's one of the I'm definitely going to be looking at. Yeah, that's a good one. You could probably say the entire second year. I'm going to go a different route and I'm gonna say the Steelers front seven versus the Baltimore Ravens in terms of getting to Joe flacco. Now this is not your grandfather's or eating your father's ravens team. They liked to throw the football bead mentioned the revamped passing attack with Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead not to mention some of their tight ends or playing some really good football and Hayden Hearst might make. His debut on Sunday. I did not get to see the injury report today. Nonetheless, they're not the ground and pound ravens that you're used to seeing. "Can't wait to watch tonight is Mike mcglinchey of the forty Niners Quinton Nelson of the colts via, you know, they're all players that are going to be really good. You know, hopefully really good pieces for them. People were saying, I can't wait to see Hayden Hearst for the second time around. Maybe he could be a sleeper tight end this year for the ravens, or I can't wait to see DJ more. Shark turns out to be the better DJ from this year's draft class of wide receivers for the same reason that we're talking about, it's it's, it's fantasy. It's vested interest in games, otherwise we're not be irrelevant to you, but would be I tell people that I have a list of I call remote stopping movies, right? It's movies that you know you're scanning through the guy and all of a sudden it's on your like, I'm not going any further. The fantasy football has created that for the NFL is that Thursday night, you're sort of flipping through the channels and all of a sudden you realize that, oh, I have Larry FitzGerald in my league, and the cardinals are playing, you know, the Rams this weekend and it'd be great to get off to a good start with maybe two touchdowns from fits. It's all about that end. I mean, I, I guess we commission this right? I mean, gambling is legalized, but people playing draftkings. Right? Like showdown format over it as a fan. What I mean? There are different ways you can go about the game, fantasy wise, and so there are all sorts of fancy implications with every game with every move that's made. And you always were thinking about how that impacts your fancy team and people ask me all the time who's your favorite team they refer. And I mean, say it my fancy teams are my favorite teams. I say the same thing. Adam is funny. I said, you know, it's my fantasy teams. I also own up to the fact that like by thanksgiving of each season, your energy can be impact that you're sitting there. You're like, you want your teams to win even more. And some were to ask me why fantasy is so important to me. It brings new life to each Sunday for us, and we are fortunate to be part of the war room each Sunday where we watch all of these games and now there you are. I played at the NFL level and would've sure we would've loved our experience to that, and it's not nearly the same thing, but my competitive juices rarely flow anymore..

"Year especially Joe flacco came into training camp with. That back injury missed most of training camp. Never seen quite right going into the year and this year is going to be the ultimate litmus. Test because the weapons are gonna look better they brought Michael Crabtree over in. Free agency John Brown's mayor Zona which if he can recapture some of his form is a compelling deep threat and the first round pick I was excited about was Lamar Jackson last night the first round, picks that I think is. Going to net them the best results early is tight end Hayden Hearst out of South Carolina who got in the end zone courtesy of Lamar Jackson last night but it's. Going to be, I think that target that Baltimore has been searching for at tight end for. A while now through the dentist pitas and the max Williams isn't the guys they've brought in I think Hayden Hearst is going to be that guy for them and specifically for Joe flacco so it's not just throw, a deep pass and then rely on Run game that hasn't been there as. Of late first, and last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app so in. Addition to that we do have some other updates from training camps Right now Wide receiver Antonio Brown Suffered some injury and has been sent back. To Pittsburgh for evaluation, the Steelers at Latrobe Pennsylvania Saint Vincent's. College for training camp Mike Tomlin did not specify the body part. That was injured classified the ailment is just day. To day minor injury nothing to speak of and said Brown was, expected to be quote, finding a few days wasn't. "At twenty two now he's going to be thirty six later on in may so no i think it's a great opportunity for the cowboys that they can get an influx of speed into their lineup i believe that they should take advantage of listen i think the cowboys offense can be fine if not better without jason witten i explain that and i'm own but i want to talk about the timing just for a second 'cause you alluded to it chris this strikes me is the type of thing we're jason witten and maybe this is how it should go in life jason witten cachet to credibility is built up as a good guy as a leader as a good teammate is buying him a lot of rope on the timing of this jason witten were considered a diva wide receiver instead of team leader tight end announcing this or letting this come out right after after they cut dez bryant who if they don't think jason whitten's coming back maybe they think there's one less personality inflicting locker room one more need for a veteran on receiving threat and then after the first round of the draft when the cowboys were in position draft hayden hearst and instead draft layton vander i don't know if they would have drafted him but you you want as much information as early as possible like cece gee you think the cowboys potentially would have made a different decision on dez bryant if jason witten a month ago a month ago they went to witton to restructure his deal and he says yes which makes it actually a worse cap it for them this year cutting him then playing him or then him playing so or him retiring than him playing so a month ago they thought he was playing he thought he was playing what do you make of the timing of the dallas into it told the coaches and front office get off a desk brian but they had gone into the offseason saying we're going get off a desk bryant and jason witten they would had a different approach as far as free agency now what if they were split on it because both of them are going to be department at they said all.

"Twenty nine jaguars tabin brian tackle out of florida very talented guy big tackle out of tech low four definitely view a disruptive force in the middle of that line thirty minute minnesota vikings take the cornerback outta ucf that's my cues patriots thirty one they take another here's third running back we still having said darius guys i thought maybe i thought guys was sure been for that second pick second running back pick but i thought maybe still would drop to the second round but i didn't think that we'd already have three running backs in the first round the patriots takes only michelle with their second pick in the first round it was thirty thirty first pick overall so let me show you know how high sodium show i love somebody michaud and him in him in new england able to be a option for tom brady out of the backfield kind of being replaced in four dion lewis who went to the titans so if you're patriots fans look forward to seeing him show in the patriots uniform not really my favorite thing because really pitcher it's patriot supporter but we're impartial you gotta like the fact that sony goes in the first round grad pick great pick right there and kind of a surprise pick but i'd like pick the patriots definitely needed a running back just like that and they got one in sony michelle then the thirty second pick just as we thought we weren't going to have another quarterback like i said who's gonna throw to that tied they got hayden hearst the ravens pick again they trade back into the thirty second round they get it from philadelphia.

"The spend a few weeks or so talk to you didn't know that steve smith said that about the trade about the pig i just noticed it oh a couple of days ago they did a mock draft on espn and they were saying the beat writer down here was saying that they were the panthers are gonna get hayden hearst but in the process in the last yesterday they signed a greg olsen other deal so it was that we just thought it was ironic and at the same time you know he he's kind of giving a little bit the back of the hand to kelvin benjamin in his own way so i i just i thought it was really funny that steve smith said that about dj more i don't think it was about benjamin specifically i think it was about pretty much everybody that yeah yeah it was a carte blanche for every wide receiver that they've used since he got it was it was after they got benjamin that they just let him go and it was kind of funny that that it was with the you know he beat the the beat the ravens tune because i i wondered if the ravens had really wanted dj more and that that's just you know just to question i have because you know him and it's kind of funny because hey i was from south carolina and dj more was from maryland so it might have been this is kind of just ironic but i'm glad i'm glad we got him because we needed a deep threat and we didn't have and we haven't had really any heart is just i'll be glad we got him.

"They just kind of rotate in running backs i i don't know that that's a big need but it won't surprise me at some point if they bring in another guy and see what they can get out of them but wide receiver tight end you know they they've really struggled drafting receivers and getting them to work and i know they brought in colonel patterson who will probably never run a route outside of a nine route and get the ball and reverses and helping the return game i mean that's basically going to be his role felt or set what can they get out of him chris hogan julian edelman malcolm mitchell i mean you know they're just a bunch of guys but they've won super bowls were just a bunch of guys and so i think gronkowski is the key keeping him healthy i think you draft another tight end if there's a weapon they're great you draft a quarterback at some point i think tech offensive tackle is the number one priority outside of targeting and going and getting your quarterback but again you got five picks in the first three rounds foreign the top sixty three you can if you keep all these picks and target a quarterback in round two you can still get a left tackle that you love you can get a tight end or wide receiver you can get a cover linebacker and the quarterback in the first two rounds now you know when i saw them get to number twenty three one of the first names that popped in my head was dallas goddard or maybe even a hayden hearst again this isn't a knock on gronkowski or even the uncertainty in some ways it's kind of a compliment for god hausky he has been so integral that you have to start thinking about even the possibility obviously health has always been an issue but of possibilities not there maybe after this coming year does that make sense to you i wouldn't have a problem with it no i don't think you would have any shields and a compliment for me.

"You can still get a left tackle that you love you can get a tight under wide receiver you can get a cover linebacker in in the quarterback in the first two rows now you know when i saw them get to number twenty three one of the first names that popped in my head was dallas goddard or maybe even a hayden hearst again this isn't a knock on gronkowski or even the uncertainty in some ways it's kind of a compliment for god kofsky he has been so integral that you have to start thinking about even the possibility obviously health has always been an issue but of possibilities not there maybe after this coming year does that make sense to you i wouldn't have a problem with it no i don't think you would have any issue ultimate compliment for me yeah i mean i think you look at what they could get with twenty three and thirty one it sets up some thrashed don't set up to suit your needs this draft because of the tackles one of those two tackles dropping the two tight ends got it and hearst one of those two maybe both could be sitting there late and vander asia linebacker could will baby be in that mix and play there and then you look at the quarterbacks that we talk about beyond the top group that will be there in the second round so there's a lot of opportunity here for a team that would like to make one more run and maybe this runs with some of these young guys playing key roles for tom brady whose nearing the end of the trail and todd mentioned all the problems that could arise tom brady is allowed them to overcome a lot of issues with an with a decent to good quarterback they would have never been near the super bowl so it's tom brady carrying this team and a lot of years to a super bowl winning some and losing a couple that they look back and say we should have one and some of the ones that one that they should've lost but the bottom line.

"The football and walk on south carolina just talk about that great journey of yours that going from one sport then to the other and having to prove yourself a now maybe be a first round pick in the nfl draft yeah man i mean it's been a wild five years you know if you would've told me you know in two thousand thirteen that'd be a potential first round pick in the nfl draft told you you're crazy but you know this whole experience has been humbling you know i'm i'm happy to be in football and i didn't have the success in baseball that i had originally planned but you know john works mysterious ways and you know here in a few weeks i'll be a pretty good position from south carolina to the nfl next hayden hearst height and joining us now hayden i mean as you're growing up i'm sure that you watched a lot of nfl you probably caught the end of the career of tony gonzales and then pretty much everything that antonio gates has done in his career out of that position jimmy graham as well and you see all these tight ends who become known for catching the football scoring touchdowns doing all the things that wide receivers do and sometimes blocking gets left in the dust yet you have a good reputation as a blocker how important is that in the way you play in prepare shoes for me because i mean it's part of the physician yeah i think like you said it kind of gets lost in the glitz glamour of trying to catch touchdowns and and get all those yards but you know being a tight end you gotta get in there and you got a block defensive ends and something that i've tried myself in you know when the coaches asked me to do something at south carolina you know whether it was a catch twenty balls a game or blocked eighty plays a game i wanted to do i wanted to be the best at everything that i did you know i think that's kind of why i believe that are separated myself as a number one tied in in this class because i do both phases extremely well jason witten watched him threat his career hey that's a guy that i think you could be and have a career like jason witten i think.
