"Hey guys welcome to relatable happy tuesday. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far so today i am talking to justin haskins. You know that name. Because he's the guy that we talked to you about the great reset. We're gonna be talking a little bit about that today but we're also going to be talking about a few other things that the bite administration has done. Maybe that we haven't heard about because there's been so much has been going on over the past few weeks but are nevertheless very important policy issues that we have to care about that we need to take note of. We're also going to be talking about. Ao see at the met gala and her tax. The rich dress that she was wearing at this very elitist events. And you'll hear my take on that his take on that how that actually fits into everything else that we will be talking about. But you're gonna love this conversation. My last conversation that i had with justin about black rock in china and the great reset and bill gates is the most listened to episode of relatable that i've ever had and so if that tells you anything about how great this guest is and how much you will love this conversation. Just trust me. You're going to so without further ado. Here's our friend. Justin haskins justin. Thank you so much for joining us again. I was just telling you before. Returning the cameras on that. Our conversation about black rock and bill gates in china is the most listened to episode of relatable and we're coming up on five hundred episodes. I know it's incredible. It is one of those things where it is just such an important issue that nobody talks about the nobody talks about just started talking about it. Then i really think it's going to gain lots of momentum and maybe we can actually stop some of this stuff that's been going on. That's crazy so thank you for taking the time to actually talk with me talk about it. Well you've done all the legwork. I one reason why it's not really talked about and go back by the way. If you haven't listened to or watch that episode we'll link it in the description to this episode so you can go back and listen to it but one of the reasons why i think a lot of people. Don't talk about all of that stuff is because it's too complicated. It's just too much like people. And then they feel like they're getting sucked into some kind of conspiratorial rabbit hole. And i think it's also overwhelming. It makes us feel so small and so power list. And that's why. I think a lot of people you know they do. They just won't even touch it but you're right. I think if collectively there was more awareness about it and more pushing back against it maybe maybe it make a difference. No that's the only way it'll make it there. I mean the only way that this stops is if the people who are orchestrating all of this stuff who are working together these early -letes banks and financial institutions investment groups and the government and elsewhere. The only way the stops is if they get called out on it refined of that clarified..

NFL Preseason: Dwayne Haskins Has Big Night in Steelers Backup QB Battle

"Let's go right. Added with the mason rudolph at the quarterback position. He started the game. Eight for nine. Seventy seven yards eight point six average. He was sacked once for ten yards in a rating of one or two point. Three dwayne haskins comes in sixteen of twenty to one hundred and sixty one yards. Seven point three average one touchdown a rating of one eight point. Three joshua dobbs finishes up five of six thirty yards. Five yard average. He did throw interceptions. Pretty bad one rating of forty seven point nine the passing total twenty nine to thirty seven for two hundred and fifty eight yards one touchdown. One interception in one sack gentlemen quarterbacks. Let's talk about it service. you. Brian go ahead. I thought it was a pretty decent effort. From the quarterbacks i You know the one that one interception by joshua dobbs was was ugly but the guys. I was really looking at of course. Mason rudolph in wayne haskins and i thought they book showed up this week win. Haskins really needed to have a very good showing to not drop out of the conversation because last week was was not great for him and now dave did explain it that you know he was. He was going over the luxembourg. What the defense was getting them this week. He had more chances to throw downfield. He looked solid doing it. He did have that touchdown pass. He led them on a couple of of scoring drives so Very solid game from him. Dave and i were talking before the show on mason rudolph and thought he had a pretty good effort and what killed his drives was basically those

"I guess the other news of today and kind of completely overshadowed by of into william signing Josh dobbs quarterback is back for year number. Five with the pittsburgh steelers. What do you think of a the the readmission of josh dobbs With the black and goal. I like it. I think it really for people who want a quarterback hauling out the best news. I think i think it's more than anything. Vote of confidence in the guys they have. You wanna fourth quarterback for camp and josh dobbs in my opinion is the right kind of quarterback to push a dwayne haskins. He's not going to match. Dwayne haskins talent with the questions on dwayne haskins. Aren't does he have talent questions are you know. Where's his head in the game. What's his Level what's he like in the locker room. You know you're talking leadership and you're talking. You know the love of the game sitting in the film room watching the film breaking stuff down understanding the offense all these things. Those are josh dobbs strengths. Just odd isn't the greatest passer but he does that to the point that he's you know a guy. Ben rothlisberger likes because he can rely on him so to me. He's an insurance policy. Should dwayne haskins causing any problems and they have to get rid of. It has to cut ties with him. And he's also the kind of guy to plush dwayne haskins in the in the film room kind of be that guy who's like you know try and keep up your kid like let's go. It's it's time for you to learn this. It's time for you really. It's it's your what third season you know. You need to have this stuff down So i think josh dobbs is actually the perfect addition to push him and honestly if he sticks around. He's someone bent likes having around.

NFL WILD CARD: Our official predictions for who wins this weekend

"You look around the wild core weekend and I refuse to called Super Wall car. We kind of just just doesn't make any sense to me. Super Wild card. No, it's just wild card weekend. That's it. Wild card weekend sells itself that's enough. And the extra games are going to be fantastic. It was one of the best weekends in sports with just the four games now with six It might take the best week. Or the best weekend in sports. Even from next weekend, the division around where you know these are probably the two best weekends off the sports calendar. You wanna throw in March madness in there? Baseball butting. Damn, you know, you know you have baseball players, but not just a specific weekend. We're talking about. These air. I mean, this is just gonna be great nonstop. Basically, once we get so, what you wake up, or if you're just you know something gone to sleep yet? Won't you go to sleep and then wake up, man. It's gonna be great. Saturday through Sunday. Anyway. What was I going with it? Um, you look at the slate for the wild card weekend. There are going to be upset. I don't think it's just going to be okay. Well, the bills are favored in there, the better team, so they get a win Sam, with Seattle, saying what Tampa Bay or Baltimore or New Orleans or Pittsburgh. They're all going to be some unlikely things happening. There always is in sports. Whatever you think. You know what? I'd be shocked if The Browns beat the Steelers know where I'd be shocked if the Titans beat the Ravens? No. Although I don't think that's gonna happen. I wouldn't be shocked. I really wouldn't be shocked with anything. What? I'd be shocked if the Colts beat the bills. Not be surprised if I teii be shocked upsets will happen. And I think the Washington football team Has the best chance. Of Winning out right as far as an underdog goes. On this wild card Saturday 55 to 1 to 4 to 2 75 5 to 1 to four. CBS. I mean, Chase Young is a game wrecker. That guy's he's a beast, and he's a determined beast. Washington. You're on the football. They got the playmaker with my corn. Again. Heh. Nikki's not Alex Smith. He's also not Dwayne Haskins. And their defense going to get the Brady I think whole day long.

"Monster deal. Other guys that got big money like Landon Collins. Jalen Ramsey. You think that's the guy? That's the problem? You think the agent that negotiated huge money deals for Watson, Ramsey Collins and Michael Thomas is the problem here. Mm hmm. Look, I don't wanna bury a 23 year old kid. Right? He's not going to end up being an NFL player. He's not gonna end up being a franchise cornerstone, and everybody around the NFL knows it. Everybody around. The NFL knows it. Which is why at the trade deadline, Washington didn't even bother shopping him because they knew they could get nothing for him. That's why, when they released him, he passed through waivers and nobody wanted him. That's why at very best to wait. Haskins is going to get a shot to maybe be a backup. But that's probably not going to be in his cards because He's not going to put in the work to be a backup. He's not mature enough to do this. And this is a Dwayne Haskins family issue where Dwayne Haskins Dad has wanted to be front and center. He wanted to capitalize on Dwayne Haskins celebrity by creating a marketing firm. It's why his dad predicted Super Bowls and why They had 300 people buy tickets to Dwayne Haskins Draft party. It's because the brand that they wanted to build off of Dwayne's back was always the most important thing instead of Duane as a player and way is not mature enough to be his own guy and Whoever decision this was Duane, his family's whoever it goes to show you Always somebody else's fault. Wayne Haskins is the guy that wasn't ready for his job. Dwayne Haskins was the guy that partied with strippers without a mask. When Haskins was the guy that stunk every time he got onto the football field. Wayne Haskins did that to himself. Fires his agent. As though that's the start that His agent, put him in that party without a mask. Like his agent. Prevented him from being in the film room, like his agent, had him taken pictures and sell a piece with fans while the clock was running. His agent. When we come back here on the show, we've got advanced Analytics. Do you take a lifetime supply? Of potatoes. Of May days. Or of blooming onions, D, a CBS sports radio. The D a show mornings on CBS sports Radio. LeBron has had all of this same runway from all of his team's. And while James Harden is kind of he's he's great, but he's not legendary. Great. LeBron has continually taken all of that that freedom. Still been great, Great, still been legendary, Great, still driven. His team's his teammates to heights the D. A show morning 6 to 10 Eastern on CBS Sports Radio. There is only one Jim rolled. A buffalo bills are the FC Eastern champs. They put a beat down on the Broncos 48 to 19, and they're not just going to the playoffs. They're hosting a game in the playoffs. What I'm saying is, they're very good, and they're going to be that way for quite some time. And once again, the bills are the biggest threat to the defending champs in the A F. C, gym room, noon Eastern 9 A.m. Pacific on CBS Sports Radio afternoons with Tiki and Tierney. If you're messed African, you're almost hoping to be traded. You certainly be open to it. I think he can go some places. I do think he's a talented quarterback. He's very town, right. We talked about the arm slots, and these guys have throw a different angles. He's one of those plays. There's very great. They just never have had a consistent winner, and it's got to be frustrating to him. At least you would think it's frustrating him. But to your point I've never heard him say anything bad know about Detroit, Tiki and Tierney three.

Blame Jon Gruden for the Raiders’ loss to the Dolphins... but do it for the right reason

"Raiders lost to miami. Las vegas raiders are now seven and eight. They missed the playoffs again. This year and the blame has got to go on. Jon gruden their head. Coach I i like jon gruden. I think there have been moments where he's done a good job preparing his team to play. I thought the highlight of the year for las vegas. Raiders was beating the kansas city chiefs. They looked very well prepared. That a great game plan But again this loss to miami coach. The recent failures by the raiders has to go on. Jon gruden you're gonna blame jon gruden for the loss. Make sure you do it for the right reason. So all the attention after this game has gone onto john. Gruden's late dame decision making against miami. Where the raiders had the ball first and goal on the eight yard line with a minute and fifty five seconds left. And the raiders chose to not score a touchdown they had. I mean they first of all they had the running back. Josh jacobs literally taking the other one yard line that he slid down to avoid scoring and did not want a touchdown would have given them a six point lead because they had they were down gas. Were down twenty four twenty five so they didn't want to have a six point lead. They wanted to take as much time off the clock as possible then on third and goal derek carr literally kneeled to continue to run the clock down and they kicked field goal. Giving them a twenty five to twenty three lead with nineteen seconds. Left in the game and people are critical. The strategy like you should have done other stuff. You should've taken the touchdown you should've done. Whatever coulda woulda should say whatever you want to say. I don't think this is the reason to criticize john. Gruden every once in a while you have a strategy. That is a good strategy. That simply doesn't work. I play video. What is it not a tabletop. Game like a board game called settlers of catan a giant nerd and my family. We all play during christmas. And i had a great strategy of putting my game pieces on the the number eight. Meaning that if you have to you have a high percentage chance of rolling in eight like you would think yeah. It's literally six and eight or two of the highest six eight and seven like the highest possible. Things could roll when you're rolling. Two dice and eighths just never got role but i waited and waited my whole strategy revolves around rolling eight with these two dice. And it didn't happen. And i don't know this the probability or whatever. I just know that on paper. That's a good strategy. Like eight gets rolled all the time and this game. It was an anomaly. It didn't happen and that happens sometimes every once in a while you good strategy that for one reason or another. There's an anomaly. And it doesn't work out

It's concerning. I know that when he came into the league the rumor was that the owner wanted him but the coaching staff did not add. It was kind of a a problem from the start and dwayne haskins. Never really he was never like very impressive at all in washington. And it's just a sad story of the guy who i think again didn't understand the responsibility. It takes to be an nfl quarterback and i think wasted an opportunity. And here's where i feel sad. I know a lot of people are gonna come down very hard in this guy and say look you did again. Twin made a lotta mistakes. He went to parties. He went to or something strippers. Were at some kind of event he was at. He wasn't wearing a mask like it's just stupid during cova. Jindo what's going on in the world you know you can't have that happen your nfl quarterback signing or taking pictures during the gameboy. It's not over bragging about your stats during a loss like of stuff happening dwayne haskins Ugly ten year as a quarterback for washington. It didn't work out and I just my fear is. He's going to look back when he's thirty years old and go man. I should have done so many things differently right like you can't really have hindsight now when you're a young guy in your second year in the nfl. But when he's thirty. I i've heard vince young talk about his career. Now vince young talks about how he just did not take it seriously enough and didn't do enough stuff off the field and wasn't prepared enough regrets. He's got tremendous regret about how his career workout and so does mark russell. So does matt liners talk. Like there's a lot of quarterbacks look back in their career and go..

"All over me, with Dwayne Haskins, saying that Washington failed him. Only gave him 13 games. His last tweet in all caps. When you draft a quarterback in the first round, you either start him all six games, things, the type of all 16 games. Set him the entire season to learn the system. The idiotic nonsense Washington team. What they did with Dwayne Haskins was deplorable. Curtis Brown types. Well, here's the thing. Curtis Brown. And, Yeah, I do think the sound of insanity is arguing with someone over the air on Twitter, but it's fun for me. And this is my show right now. So Curtis Brown and I'll say this to anybody. Any Dwayne Haskins defenders out there 855 to 1 to four. CBS. Let me know. Let me know if you think Like Curtis Brown does on Twitter, one of our many tweeters tonight that Washington failed, Dwayne Haskins, not the other way ahead and look As I said last hour. Don't think Washington is blameless. Any organization that is run by Daniel Snyder. Is just going to permeate. Dysfunctionality. It's going to be a mess. Ah, hot mess Another Edwards. And the news with Dan Snyder just gets worse with this sexual misconduct settlement that was unearthed $1.6 million on top of the allegations that were Reported over the summer. Lewd videos being taken a cheerleader's without their knowledge may be getting sent. I mean, it's just it's bad stuff. And never mind the fight over the team name and how embarrassing that was for so many years finally ended this offseason, but man, what a ride it was to get there. It's just one hit after the other. What? Dan Snyder so I don't Nothing involved with Daniel Snyder doesn't have his stink on it. But Dwayne Haskins, let's be honest. Dwayne Haskins Scott cut. Yeah, because he was not good in 13 games, but He got cut so abruptly. He got cut before the season even ended because of his behavior. Multiple covert violations in the latest one is so egregious and I'm not into bagging. On human error. Look, it's 10 11 months of this damn thing. It's going to go on for longer into 2021 hates a big break The The bad news to everybody. The clock doesn't magically strike midnight on December 31st. Then up, we all go back to the way it was. I wish that's the case, but it's not. Hopefully not for all, not for long, but It's It's just this is the world that we're in. And where is going at? That was oh, Dwayne Haskins. Look I understand that People are human beings, and we're going to slip up and frankly, I'm surprised that there haven't been more stories. Like Dwayne Haskins in Sports. Yeah. James Hardin, petulant James Harden trying to get to Houston. So he's doing the same thing. He's going to clubs going toe will Pooh's birthday? I think it was Dave. I mean, Dave, when you're You have a chance to party with little Pooh. You know you got you got to take that up, but I don't know. I'm surprised that Haven't been more stories like these. What do you think? Gave way? I mean, I did because I was expecting a rash of these, like athlete partying stories had really gotten him outside of Haskins and hard and recently I think most people have been responsible at think there's a couple out layers here like these types of stories, and I think it just points to the character of Haskins. I mean, I don't think he was You know, fit to be Ah starting level quarterback in the NFL. It just He never seemed committed and you have to be all in, especially in a weird season like this where you have to be following every single protocol. Not venturing off to strip clubs. That's a great point. Yeah, and in look and right, and what I was going with is you know if Haskins like there were rumors that when Cam Newton Contracted covert earlier this season that he was out to dinner with a teammate you. Maybe it was to find Gilmore, the cornerback. Who knows, and I'm like, you know. To dinner with one person. I've gone out to dinner many times. When it's allowed in my city during during this, it's It's human behavior. You want to get together and socialize and breaking bread and eating is part of that. So That's one thing you know, you could excuse that it happens once. Like like his first violation, trying to make reservations for a friend of the team hotel. Stupid, But I mean not reckless. This was reckless. I mean, there's nothing riskier right now. They're going to a big indoor party. In Haskins went to a club, a strip club on top of that. I mean, even if somebody who we came in contact with that night if it leaked out that they contracted Cove ID than Haskins is a close contact. He has to go into isolation. So Washington is down its quarterback. And then who knows how many teammates Considered close contacts. The Haskins never mind. Never mind that step fact that they could contract covert, which is definitely not something you want to do if you can avoid it, so E mean, we've seen the Broncos had no quarterbacks in a game. They had to start. Hilton the undrafted why the rookie wide receiver had to draft him start him a quarterback. The Ravens didn't have Lamar Jackson for huge game and no running backs the Browns most recently this week..

"Which tell me about dwayne haskins. What's next for him will have a future in the nfl. Well you know. I think his techs does. He took ownership of that You know. He said he was immature. He learned from it. Obviously you don't think there was some you know anytime. A coach comes in and he doesn't have any Any take in the quarterback that there especially being after two years ago then. He felt that you know he felt that he wasn't wanted You know i. I think you know. I think you know this. The whole coaching staff was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Obviously you know maybe it was some more things going on You know in the in the building and whatnot with him. But he's a he's outstanding player he he's a good athletic quarterback can make plays. I hope somebody gives them the opportunity to show that he's grown up and that he'll be better off somewhere else You know obviously. I don't think he's gonna. I don't think anybody's gonna take him off the waivers. Nobody's gonna pay that money but hopefully somebody who signed him once the season's over game opportunity because he is a good player i think he came up early. he's a young player. He needs to mature a little bit more. And that stuff happens I hopefully somebody will give him an opportunity to be the quarterback that he can be. If you have a quarterback coach and they've been there showing him how to play and how to be an outside of football and inside of football he has to be a pro I think the step with that being a pro is that him taking ownership appear making mistakes and the reason he got We got weighed

Dwane Haskins busted for maskless strip club visit

"Let's get into our NFL news. And with that said the breaking news strip clubs and then getting cut from a team Amy. Who are we talking about Duane Haskins folks and not release that rookie season did not last very long at all boy. Did it not ever? Okay. You'll back the curtain. Let's talk about the strip club first before we go into the cutting. Here's the problem. He's now added to the list of players that can't stay away from the strip club. Apparently, he went to a strip club on a Sunday which is breaking up over data calls and is not breaking by Mortals. Are you supposed to not go to a strip club on a Sunday? That's what God Said, right? I mean, it's part of the Ten Commandments. Maybe I don't know they'll shalt not consume alcohol and before noon and attempt to strip club on a Sunday. I don't know that should be the men Commandments. Hey guys dead. Yeah, so, you know Adam to the strip club list, so they benched him on Sunday. And then apparently they just released his ass like just for the podcast right now. So look at us we're breaking news right here past and I mean not only did he get cut but then they are fighting him $40,000 for breaking protocols and going to the strip club without a mask. So you without a job and you gotta find yeah, that sucks. Terrible a $40,000 a day a lot of money. It is a lot of money and I mean, I'm sure he spent quite a bit at the strip club because that's what guys do right and women sometimes so I'm not trying to be sexist. But wow Amy you're so you know what? Yeah and me I know well, I mean life and most people but that's how many Flex I give exactly not any that's why we love Amy. Okay, so to just rule out everybody all the other Duane's this is not Dwayne Johnson dead. This is not Dwayne Harris. This is Dwayne Haskins house kids get out. Jets defense did the unthinkable in shutting down Browns

"The jets. Yesterday one they knocked off the browns. So cleveland reeling a little bit. Which means next april in cleveland. Mike the jets are locked into the number two overall pick. The draft will be held there beginning. On april thirtieth. So what should they do at pick number two knowing what obviously jacksonville is going to do it number one. Well not just saying this because we have an office alive hosting the show today. I actually answered this question. Fourteen years ago which was in my first year as general manager of the jets and six. I drafted to offense offensive in the first round to birkenshaw ferguson. And nick mangold. I think it starts up front. It's really hard to evaluate. Sam darnold s trevor alluded to earlier in the show. Because it's just been between scheme changes. Coaching changes below average offensive line. It's hard to evaluate him. So i would take swell. I would put him at right tackle. I would keep back a very promising first round pick and i would start with their because if you could fortify your offensive line at least that gives you a foundation to build on and see what you have with sam darnold. I've been a little disappointed with justin fields last couple of weeks. He's strong against indiana struggle northwestern. He's very intriguing. Prospect to me but i just don't know if he's incrementally that much better than sam darnold that's why would draft the tackle from oregon and then build from there.

"Took the captaincy from Dwayne Haskins this week. They gave it to chase Young today, and that was pretty easy to see why, in today's 20 to 13 loss of the Carolina Panthers. NFL flexes Washington-Panthers to keep intrigue in Cowboys-Eagles

"Let's start with. The panthers and washington got moved to four zero five because they do not want the philadelphia eagles and the dallas cowboys to know that they've been eliminated if washington wins. They want the eagles and cowboys to still believe that. There's a chance dominated a chance during that game. So what do you got for. Washington carolina while for fantasy purposes It's well we're going to have to see who washington's quarterback is this week although rate before we got on on the podcasts. Here there was a situation involving dwayne haskins. Where their post on social media of of haskins Getting swag on at a at a strip club without a mask on look believe me. I know that there are Those are establishments where clothing is optional. but in the nfl masks are not right now. So washington is not going to be very happy about dwayne haskins. I think it was Tom pal sarab. Nfl network reporting that the team is handling that internally not happy. I'm sure. I think they want alex smith back this week. Anyway against carolina that would raise the ceiling of this offense. I'm still not one hundred percent. I as a matter of fact. I'm not confident at all antonio gibson playing this game turf toe is very painful so that should mean a big role for jd. Mckissic once again had a huge fantasy game last week against seattle. It was nice to see terri mclaren. Come alive in that game. A little bit with dwayne haskins at quarterback too good matchup against carolina. I would use him as a wide receiver. Three and over last month of the season only two tight end. Travis kelsey and darren waller have been targeted more have caught more passes and scored more fantasy points than logan thomas. He is a tight end. One now against the carolina panthers and i think everything would look better for washington if alex smith can play quarterback.

"It's about greatness. And what Joe Gibbs did in sixteen years to separate very separated runs by the way which makes it even more impressive to me. That many playoff berth. That many super bowls that many. Who Does anybody have multiple super bowl champions ships without a hall of fame quarterback like two of them? I doubt it. He has it three with breezy effort. Guys nobody else even has two different guys and a lot of these guys Shula. Okay Role Greasy the hall of Famer. Johnny use a hall of Famer and Burritos all of famer. And don't check. Brady's all famer so I I'm GONNA give. That's my story cab. I'm sticking to it. Well you'RE NOT GONNA YOU'RE NOT GONNA get an argument with me on gibbs because now you will get an our terms of gibbs being shorted consistently on the national conversation level in this discussion about the greatest coaches of all time gibbs to me is on Mount Rushmore. So he's in the top four. He's very close to that. See the thing about Shula and I remember all Shula's I'm older than you. So I remember shoeless teams in the Seventies. I remember him taking David. Woodley to Super Bowl. Seventeen against the Redskins David Woodley. I remember them Marino teams which did not have a lot around him. Marino didn't play with Hall of famers. Never a running game. No Hall of Fame Receivers Defense Inconsistent at times. Now the teams he won within the seventies had hall of famers Greasy and Warfield offensively and the no name defense which was very good. I I really view Shula in Gibbs is very similar in that they both consistently got more out of less which is the case. You're making with Gibbs to a certain degree I do want gibbs in the redskins talent. It's not the equivalent of what knoll had Orlando or wall. Chad or Lombardi had what gibbs gets knocked for. Ross he gets knocked for a couple of things number. One to strike season super bowls. With the way I think is a compliment. I think it's a reflection of great coaching and he didn't produce like this incredible coaching tree for some reason. I think it's because he had a lot of older assistant coaches but three super bowls three different starting quarterbacks three different running back sets you know the the hogs were the constant but the hogs actually changed you know grim and Jacobean Bostick were the consistence butt lifts. Shay was on the ninety one team. George Stark was on the eighty three eighty two championship team. And here's the thing about gibbs and Shula that is different from belichick this seventies. Afc was brutal. Miami Pittsburgh Oakland like you know in their own division. The colts were good for a significant portion of that decade. Think about what. Gibbs had to go through during that twelve year stretch in the NFC with the cowboys and the Eagles and the giants and then the niners in the bears. You know in the rams and the vikings had good teams to brutal competition those eighties. Nfc's were as tough as anything in the seventies. Afc was his brutal as anything. We've seen I gibbs to me is always shorted in the conversation. He's very much right there on the Mount Rushmore number. Three number four But to me Shula and Belichick. The two that have always. I don't know there's some context too in watching Shula always as an XS. No guy like gibbs by the way always seemed to be three steps ahead of everybody. There was just something about him but anyway it's the point I would make just a quick follow would be sure who cares about coaching tree number one. I love the point you made about. How brutal the NFC east was in particular any NFC. In general when gives was there people say well that was before free agency? Yeah that made it harder because look at the competition that they had to go against I mean look at the teams to play against and then the strike shortened thing is kind of laughable to me because those guys were all back for the whole second half of the year and then they had the whole playoffs like who gives a crap that earlier in the year there was a strike when and you've all been playing for five six weeks at that point then you're in the playoffs like meaningless to me at that point. I actually think it's a really good point that you made about coaching tree. Who gives a shit because the truth of the matter is if you don't have a great coaching tree that actually by definition means you did it? You did even more because you didn't have a great talented staff. Which by the way gibbs did I think the reason is Ritchie? Pettibone was older Joe. Bugle was older. He always had an older staff rather than a bunch of young up. And comers you know I think that may be one of the reasons but I mean look. What else are we going to talk about these days? Now that it's over it's it's Don Shula had a hell of a career. Two losing seasons in thirty three years is pretty remarkable and again like gibbs took multiple. Starting quarterbacks two super bowls in multiple errors didn't win now in sixty eight is the colts coach. If he had united which he didn't have that year earl moral they probably would have won a super bowl but to take David Woodley to a super bowl. you know is is pretty is pretty remarkable I WanNa ask you about the redskins first of all. I don't think we've talked since maybe late in the regular season. What did you think of the Ron Rivera? Higher or fan of him in the staff that he's put together or not huge fan of Ron Rivera as a person and as a coach I was thrilled. That the redskins hired him Absolutely love them. I don't know how much you know him. But he's an incredible incredible guy. You know with his family serving in the military and everything like that. I Like del Rio a lot as well as the D. coordinator I'm not sure about Scott Turner yet. You know mixed emotions on Scott Turner. I think he's going to have to prove himself But I thought Ron Rivera was a slam dunk. Because I just like the fact that he's so well respected by players around the league and I felt like with all the noise that was out there and all the discussion floyd doing that right. I really need somebody that you know Greg Olsen and Thomas Davis and Keith. At all these guys will say coach. Rivera's the best. We love him man because you know it was becoming to the point. Where guys like. Didn't want to play for the Redskins because of the Trade William stuff that went on. They needed a guy that could kind of Stem that tide. I think Rivera does and he also was very successful coaching Carolina. Yeah de- definitely now know the concern. Obviously from redskin fans after two decades of this. This REIGN OF OF SNYDER TERROR. On the franchise that eventually you know something will go wrong. It'll become dysfunctional again. But as of now it it certainly seems that Rivera has a lot of control. I mean there. He was very much sort of the point person on this Trent Williams trade to San Francisco. Yeah I it sounds like that. Obviously it's not a great return for the Redskins but it was what it was at this point it had gotten. I actually thought that Charlie Williams WanNa stay. After after Ron Rivera came in I I was actually a little surprised that he still wanted to leave. I like chase young quite a bit. I thought it was the right move given.

"Had a home playoff game and we blew it again. 'cause Buddy could win a playoff game to save his life so that was brutal to your point Dow. It is funny by the way that I I just think they remember with my dad when I was in the seven hundred level the VAT which is the most infamous area of any stadium. There's ever been I mean that's like if you didn't see at least three fights and six beers get dumped on somebody's head like something was wrong and it was. It was like a jungle up there. "The redskins helmet actually thought it looked awesome or putting on the cowboys helmet. That wasn't weird. What was weird was playing against the eagles because thinking this right from when I was five years old till I was twenty two like it was so ingrained in me to love that uniform to love those people to love everything about it and then to be out there actually on the other side of it trying to kill Hugh Douglas or Brian Dawkins or whoever. That was a little bit weird. Like actually go go after those guys in that uniform weird were you a true. Eagle die hard. Oh yeah man. Oh yeah I got Randall. Cunningham Autograph Seventeen. Times at training camp you know in the late eighties early nineties. Like Jerome Brown. Reggie White Buddy Ryan. I mean I could still probably right now. Byron Evans set joyner. Mike Pitts Mike. Golic Clyde Simmons. I mentioned as your own Brown. You've got William. Thomas was the other outside backer. Montlake Millan Dead Smith at the coroner's Eric Allen West Hopkins Andre Water Safety. Like how crazy is that? Do you know that in my head still. I have often cited one game in particular because I grew up a redskins fan was a you. Know my fam-. My father had season tickets which was very fortunate like I was fortunate I went to every single game at RFK growing up. There's one particular game in my lifetime of rooting for the Redskins that I consider to be the greatest revenge game in Redskins history. And it's the ninety playoff win at the vet that ended Buddy Ryan's in Philadelphia which followed two months earlier. The body bag game and that win as a Fan Ross. In that playoff game in January was a wild card weekend round game and the Redskins went in in Spanked Eagles in the vet twenty two six after that body bag game on a Monday night. Two months before that. I don't know as a redskins fan there have been many moments. Obviously following them in loving them through all of their super bowl years with with gibbs but that's the sweetest revenge game in Redskins history for me that sucked for me. I was eleven and We.

"Your rents free. All you care about is walking to class playing on Saturdays and hopefully doing enough on Saturdays to get to the League in the NFL. Some people want new contracts. Some people WANNA get traded. Some people don't WanNa beer. Some people want to be here. Some people are married with kids in some guys. Walk around and do whatever they please. But that's the cool thing about playing quarterback you find a way to bring those people together and bill the team and then he gets in to the experiences that he had in the regular season playing he writes when we went to play the New York giants in week. Four it was like a homecoming of sorts. It also brought me my first regular season opportunity. The game was an emotional experience for me. I live. I've lived in New Jersey until I was fourteen. I lived in New Jersey until I was fourteen. I went to giants games and remember watching. Eli Manning I wanted to get out there throwing eight touchdowns and just beat the mess. Outta them. But that didn't happen. And it was a humbling experience. I couldn't even look at my phone because I knew it was going to be bad. I made a couple of good throws but it wasn't fun to watch my demeanor before the snap was terrible. My eyes weren't in the right spot at the top of the drop. I remember looking at the film in thinking what was I doing? I got another shot against the Vikings in week eight. I wasn't in sync or rhythm at all that didn't make me loose confidence but it felt like I was against myself. It should be easier than this. I had just thrown fifty touchdowns at Ohio state. Why wasn't it easy then? I talked to Alex for about two hours. He said of course. It's not going to be easy. You're a rookie. Who hasn't played in the NFL in his learning? A new system. And that dwayne rights made sense so once I was named starter a week later I decided I was going to keep things simple and let the place come to me. That's when things started to pay off when I was in college coach Ryan Day told me something I still remember. Bad things are going to happen but if you make things worse the whole game could be over from their fall on the ball. If there's a fumble throw it away if someone is covered. Don't put the offense in third and sixteen because you. WanNa make four or five guys miss. Those are the simple things. I focused on for the rest of the season. I remember going into the buffalo game with so much more confidence partly because I was able to continue to learn and it face some early adversity I was humbled and understood how difficult this Lee can be. I still made some mistakes in that game but my mind was calm. It was windy outside in the bills. Mafia was loud but I was going to be the best me. The best quarterback the best leader. I could be there. Were still some bumps along the way I thought we were going to beat the jets. They in this is that next game against the jets. I thought we were going to beat the jets. They were blitzing us all game. Remember Jamal Adams and he says Jamal Adams had three sacks it was just bad. It's all about thinking positively and what you tell yourself if I'm doing what I'm supposed to do if I study and put in the work I'm going to play well. There's no doubt I was starting to play better. But it was all about getting into that groove of knowing that will make mistakes. But as long as I'm making more plays than mistakes it's going to work out outside of our game against Maryland at Ohio state and that was in two thousand eighteen when Maryland nearly upset Ohio state in college. Park is a fifty to fifty one overtime. Game a shootout haskins played great Jk Dobbins was great. That was one of the real good Games for Anthony. Mcfarland more on him coming up but he rushed for two touchdowns in two hundred ninety eight yards against Ohio state that that late November Day Back in two thousand eighteen but dwayne rights outside of our game against Maryland at Ohio. State the game against the Lions was probably the most Ziobro I've ever felt in a game. Now I don't know with respect to the Maryland game these talking about because they nearly lost and it was tight or whether it was because he was coming home and by the way playing against a team that he had originally committed to then he writes about the Detroit Game. We were going back and forth with them. They were kicking field goals. We were kicking field goals. That's what I love about. Nfl Games every game is competitive until the last two or three possessions. That's when it matters. Most we started to find some momentum. I found Terry on a fifteen yard. Play Adrian ran for a six yard gain and I completed a pass to Darius that put us in field goal range to tie the game. Then we got an interception that gave us a chance to win at the last minute at the last minute it was third and five with less than thirty seconds left eye motion. Trey Quinn over and salt was man coverage I looked for Quinn but he was covered. I could have made the throw but it would have been contested ball so I- reset and is trying to avoid a sack. I saw terry running across the field. I put the ball up. Where only he could make the catch. He came down with it and put us in position to kick a field goal to take the lead. That was a phenomenal play. Two plays later another interception by DETROIT SEALED. The game we had just gotten our second victory and the first of my career. I'll never forget how I felt. After that interception I threw down. My water bottle looked up at the sky and screamed with joy. It was the first of many to come in my career now. What is certainly noticeable by? Its absence is no mention of the SELFIE. There's no mention of it at all. He says we had just gotten our second victory and the first of my career on never forget how I felt after that interception. I threw down. My water bottle looked up at the sky and screamed with joy. It was the first of many to come in my career now. I hope he's got a short memory and he forgot about it but I doubt it because it had to be a learning experience for him. He didn't mention it. The thing that I like about this piece in. I'm not done yet. But we're almost done Is that. There's no real excuse making at all in this. You know he says I was bad against the it was bad against the jets It was You know that the it was a humbling experience against the giants and the Vikings Let me just finish up this thing and then a few more thoughts so after the After the Detroit Ending of the game. It was the first of many to come in my career In terms of wins he hopes Without mentioning the Selfie. He then writes. If I could say anything to the fans who have grown up watching the redskins it would be that we are growing working as hard as we can doing things the right way and building a winning mindset on and off the field. I hear people saying what does that mean. It's the way we practice the way we eat in the dining room the way we lift a lot of times last year. I thought we were dragging this year. I feel a new sense of urgency. That's what is fun about football. It's the want to to play your best in every situation. That's something I think is important as far as trying to be able to compete with the best of the best teams in the NFL. If you don't think you have a fighting chance there's no way you're going to win. I feel like as we continue to grow as a group. We're learning a lot about. We're learning a lot about what it takes to be a winning football team. Stay safe and healthy everyone. I hope to see redskins nation again. Soon I liked it. I thought you know he went through a lot of things. Did he leave out? Charging people to get into the draft party. Did he leave out why? He took the Selfie You know we sort of addresses that by you know. Essentially you know implying how excited he was to get his first win Especially after that lasts. Interception doesn't explain it enough for some view probably not but a very positive piece. It's a very self reflective piece in that. He admits that he was humbled early on. I think the interaction that he an quarterback room with Alex Smith Case Keenum in Cole McCoy was impactful on him. I mean think about that. Those are three veteran quarterbacks. You know rarely. Do you get to sit in a room as a rookie quarterback with like three veteran quarterbacks usually it's one and maybe there's another young guy somewhere Colt McCoy's been around the block case. Keenum's been around the block. Alex Smith obviously been around the block But anyway I actually also think it was a good move by the team. I think it was a good move by the team because I think for the last two to three months. The only thing that we've really heard from Dwayne have been his social media. You know has been his social media output and I think this letter is very much sort of a contrast to that and it reflects somebody who is more self reflective. Maybe more self aware you know. I'd like to see him. Dial back the social media no doubt about it but I think this was a good move. Actually I think it was whoever came up with the idea. Maybe it was him maybe with somebody in the PR department In in Ashburn But I think it's a good little Hello and wanted to tell you about my first year now the bottom line. He's gotTa play. Well he's got to win games. I think everybody understands that. I think everybody understands that's the case But with that said Again it was sort of a Nice side-by-side difference Hearing him in long form versus social media short-form you know social media. Short-form can be incredibly misleading. And it really isn't more times than not reflective of tone you know sometimes long written pieces long-form Britain pieces don't necessarily you know indicate or reflect tone that much either but I think this one did a was a good move by the organization to do this. I think more people will look at this and receive it in feel An in view it is as favourable towards him again bottom line. None of this shit matters. He's got a kick ass here in the off season. He's gotTa go out there and prove to a new coaching staff. That not only can he do it But he can do it in a mature way. and lead by example And then he's got to perform on the field. You know brass tacks win games play. Well you know He's gotTa do both of those things just winning games and not playing. Well you know some of you would say that's fine. That's all that matters. No it's not all that matters. It's not you know you've got to play well. You've got to be competent at the position. He could have a great year and they could go five and eleven and I might tell you at the end of the year. He was really good. It's a team game. The offense is out there half the time. The defense is out there. Half the time and special teams gets their you know number of plays during the game But I want to see improvement at the position. I WanNa see a maturity But more than anything. I want to see him improve at the position and perform and I have a feeling. We'll see that Ross Tucker coming up here momentarily word though about my bookie whether you're down on your luck or just down 'cause you're stuck find relief.

"I know that I know that. But he also got hit in angles in situations where Jackson Russell Wilson and guys like that Vic back in the day didn't get hit because he didn't have that peripheral basketball vision. Asian Point Guard vision. That's what Russell Wilson has. That's what Jackson has. That's what Vick cad remember him. Just getting hitting all sorts of crazy you know spots and getting tossed around like a rag doll and there's one other big difference here to one was completely self absorbed in the other seems to be a complete one hundred percent all in team team player. We just didn't know that in two thousand twelve and we found out late in two thousand twelve in Cleveland. Though didn't we. I just hope you never find out with Lamar Jackson and I hope that Donald Harbaugh said three weeks or two on the sideline is. You'RE GONNA change. ooh young players. I hope it happens that way. Yeah you know we've been talking about the one thing that is not the way Baltimore decided to commit to. This is the primary part of their offense. You know. He's posed as a dual threat in the pistol. You know for most of their plays plays. This isn't what you know the Shanahan's did with rg three. It's not what the forty niners do with Cabernet or with Seattle's done with Wilson that Houston Tennessee's done with Mariota the odor all the other quarterback driscoll's running. You know he probably ran seven or eight. Read option plays on Sunday for for the Lions. We've seen this style football and it's never gone away. It wasn't a fad add. It wasn't the wildcat is Phil. Simms tried to describe it complete and utter dummy But but what Baltimore's committed to is basically making it their offense like you're keeping keeping mind though they also have the complement of Rpo with people really running in two thousand one hundred percent right. So you've added that other elements who were. There is a True Path that isn't quarterback run and he looked back at our two thousand twelve year even if it was only only ten fifteen percent read option. It's still forty percent of the run game. That wasn't looked like it. Exactly right. They didn't they didn't know what was going on. Right cat remember I remember the conversations that you and I were having in twenty twelve. You're in twenty. I'm sorry two thousand thirteen after you after you stop playing for them in joined the radio station and just all of the de Dum dums on radio on on imprint on covering games. That just had no idea. No no you guys are missing it they are lined up in. This is part of the offense and even though the quarterback didn't run it. It doesn't mean that it wasn't presented that way and a benefit because it was presented that way as we've talked about so many times you the rg three never through from a cleaner pocket. Then he didn't twenty twelve when he was posed as a dual threat quarterback on most of those place when he was in pistol slur shotgun never used to call the draw. The draw called it. A draw Greg Cosell Greg cosell host cell Mr Mr. NFL Film analyst called it the wishbone veer. He called it the year. Actually I think it was whatever. Yeah I I. They're going to win the Super Bowl. I think they're GONNA win the Super Bowl. Let's not wait for the forty nine forty niners game. It's going to be a good game because because they're the front that has true true speed so I cannot wait for the forty niners game. You WanNa do a quick. Nfl Power Pole with me. Then I gotta take off right. Let's do that now. Rank them one to five. It's time for our our weekly NFL. Our poll I think this is the first week that the top five or easy. And I'll do. Do you want me to go. First since I sorta sprung this on you and you can give it some thought. Okay I think the top five teams in the League are our ball. Damore San Francisco New Orleans New England in Seattle. I think at this point. It's really you've got to really make a case to put Green Bay in there or to put Houston based in there to even put the chiefs in there in the top five and make. It's the first time all year the top five of actually been pretty obvious now. The order is not as easy. But here's my order. I think Baltimore is the best team in the NFL. I think they're going to win the Super Bowl and one of the things I hope for and we can start almost the countdown countdown to it given the AFC Picture Baltimore and New England in the AFC title game. I hope two games in Foxborough and I hope Baltimore. coz In their blows them out with Lamar Jackson in Foxborough San Francisco to me is the second best team. They'RE GONNA play Baltimore in New Orleans the next two weeks all right so it's going to really tell the tale for them in the in the New Orleans game will be most important because it's GonNa probably determine home field advantage or could in the NFC title game. But I've Got San San Francisco number two. They're the best defense in the NFL. I think it's better than New England's I've got this saints at number three because I think they're really good defensively and much better than New England offense who is my number four team and then I've got Seattle as the fifth best team. Even though I don't think Seattle no honestly in my personal opinion. I know they'd beat the forty niners. They beat the forty niners. Courtesy of a bunch of short field to defensive touchdown and a missed field goal by the forty niners in overtime overtime I think the forty niners and saints are both better than Seattle. But I've got Seattle in at five. That Games James Interesting the San Francisco because it still should have been a tie combined with an overtime with two minutes. Counselor run at once so insurance you feel eighteen. You're insane Baltimore's not number one. Every my Momma with people apply for their unbelievable passing into to San Francisco is absolutely I'm saying through. San Francisco is absolutely number two the way the plane right now is is is pretty awful grapples finally really starting to get Jeff you really starting to see him feel more comfortable and throw him as a real thrower in their running. Game complementing what they. The run game is allowing them to score a lot of points. Kittles back helped it last week. He's so good and that five that boot that corner posts off the boot Ta Eh Boo game going. It's really good. I mean with numbers. I still think they're often get together and figure this thing out. They always do do they. Just always do if wild I don't know why believe it I do and their defense is just out candy. It's really interesting though. Baltimore San Francisco. New England defense is Baltimore and New England fulfill on some Secondary San Francisco on the line and faith coverages three teams two zero one way or another team doing a different way. I think Seattle is number four. I I love what Russell Wilson's done. This year is really it. Just a playmaker and their defense is also very good. Then cloudy can stay healthy. They're defensive cement and then they suffice. What's really interesting the game? I'm not I don't know if I'm going to put them at five. Dallas is a massive problem if they get into the playoffs and wait a minute. You haven't you haven't given giving me the saints yet right. No okay I think the thing to probably number five but they got run by Atlanta. And they should've you've been down to Carolina thirty four thirty one the middle from twenty five yard easy one right you can right now. People are getting yards against them. They're nothing's good defensively. As I've thought they last couple they've they've had some startling defensive performances here recently Atlanta Carolina. You're right and so I would be looking for some reason. Dallas isn't when they're in. These games are not winning these again their roster better than New Orleans and they are built a true playoff game. I would not be surprised if he dallas make a run with the ability to be anybody in the NFC. I still feel the same way with for New Orleans because of the records. I'M GONNA put New Orleans at five Dallas at six. In my opinion I agree with you on the cowboys. But it's just Jason Garrett that just ultimately when I think about them I think well he's not gonna be you know Aaron Rodgers and a playoff game drew. BREES SEAN PAYTON IN A playoff game. Or you know Russell Wilson. They did last year. Where Russell Wilson in Pete Carroll in a playoff game? He's not GonNa do it. You know it's GonNa be new for the forty niners. They're going to be a new team in the playoffs experiencing it for the first time but they have way too much talent to be six in five football team way too much talent. Alan and the game Sunday. You didn't get a chance. I was giving you play by play of the Patriots for an hour as you drove home from from the stadium I was giving Cooley play by play of the Cowboys Patriots Game. It was an intense game and the cowboys defense stepped up and you know it was bad weather situation in Dacca. Didn't make as many plays in Cooper was essentially a no show. I think by the way they're going to destroy buffalo tomorrow in Erin re remind find me before we leave for the day. I've got a quick smell test but I'm with you on the cowboys. And what's interesting about their ski. They play the bills. They play the rams. They play the Eagles on the road. They play the bears at soldier field while the Eagles have in order. Okay the dolphins the giants and the Redskins in the eagles are struggling. But they'll win those three games. I would think I think Phil Dallas diving. Dallas smokes the bills awake. They don't have great on defense and the Dallas is going to be a big problem for them with with weapons they have offensive. You really don't have anything on offense. They're not a good often and the bills have played such a horrific schedule so I I don't think Dallas have any problem with the bills. The Rams are free fall right now. it'll be fun to watch the East play out because like you said. The Eagles have threes. He wants but I still think the eagles are a good. They just can't move the football and score points. I you gotta go. I appreciate this happy Thanksgiving wish everybody out there the same and I'll talk to you a Probably Sunday or before then Chris. cooley everybody Let me finish up real quickly with an early smell tests. You don't have to play the sound or on this The cowboys are an anti public. Play for the second week in a row and Thanksgiving Day. Public Really Likes Buffalo. Believe it or not in part because the cowboys have some turmoil In some controversy Chrissy following that Game Jerry Jones not happy with the situation. They're they're laying six and a half. I like the cowboys I agree with. Cooley I think it's it's more of a mismatch on paper than people realize allies. I think the cowboys bounced back with a thirty one to thirteen win And then The thanksgiving night game Atlanta's catching seven. The public thinks new New Orleans is going to destroy the Falcons. I've had good. Read here on the Falcons. Recently I had Tampa against them last week and told you the the the weeks before that they were team that we're going to give people people headaches. They beat the saints on the road. I like him in a game in which they'll be fired up to play Thanksgiving night national. TV audience or getting seven. I think they keep close in. It's a really tight game to finish off Thanksgiving night football I'll take the falcons plus seven. So there you go too early. Smell test picks cowboys aloys minus six and a half Atlanta plus seven You know pray for the smell test because it is ill right now His nut feeling doing very well over the last month and a half. I happy Thanksgiving to everybody Have a great day. Obviously we're not doing a podcast. Tomorrow will be back on Friday with one with a full. Oh football Friday to do But it was good to get Cooley on today. Wish everybody the best have a great rest of the day stay safe..

"He's a good blocker for a wide receiver right. I actually think he's an H.. Back Interesting Eh. Well no not me. I don't mean like the pullback lead what kind of guy but if you wanted to go three receiver receiver personnel. I think he's more of your slot which you're utilizing with a lot of different things out of the not quite the backfield. But behind the line scrimmage. I think there's so much you can do in the run game but I think he's more more almost h-back actually one of the players player that just popped up into my mind because I we haven't talked about him. A GEIS's numbers aren't very good. Obviously but God he runs hard and he runs physically and I think there have been zero gains that he's turned into one two three yard. Gangs what do you think I think guys has done a good job. And he's growing the young back there. A couple runs that that kind of stand out one was with the duo play. You know that that insect drop play the bounds right through the middle and got up to the safety and he just hit did it decisively and hard. That's a hell of a run. That's good vision. That's a good second cut. I loved it another one was also with. You will play late in the game that he bounced outside Donald. Oh Penn Donald Holding that played in can't bounce outside the weakside tackle so the holdings on the back so he won you. You GotTa know where you can hit plays where you go into where you're gonNA make those cuts but you gotta know where you can't hit them. Is that really do coaches really put that holding call on Donald Penn.. If you guys remember was the plate a geiss bounce to the outside and had his biggest run at the day got called back for holding they will really downgrade read the back and blame him for the Donald Penn.. Hold on that I would. Well done are forced to hold just because he bounces it outside. No but if he doesn't hold that should be PF l.. Donald Penn is soft setting with his turn to the inside. That we said tackles almost offsetting offseting pass to enhance an upfield rush on that particular play. I'm just saying he's learning dwayne flirting but he's got got some incredible innate abilities and I don't think he could be pretty good receiver. I know he dropped one. That was low to him in the flat but like his skill set as as a pass catcher out of the backfield. I I really liked areas guys I I was just saying using a example is one of the things in grow from but I I really think thank you can be a good person second out back. You know one of the things. I was thinking about smallwood There are a lot of people thought. Why are they playing small? Would so much. He played more snaps than anybody two weeks ago. Oh He's twenty five years old. He's going to be an unrestricted free agent. They may decide. They want him back. I think he's pretty good. I think he's a very good player too. I think you've got to always keep in mind that Bryce love here in the break love. Probably the guy they're looking at next year in that spot. Well I'd be looking at price love as also another guy that can carry you know for get first and second down Kerry's I'm totally with you. I'd be looking at a combination and I know. AP's back for next year if they want him back. But I'd really be looking the combination of guys and love. Is your one two backs and really wouldn't want to go away from those two at all Carolina. The Best Defensive Defensive Team Haskins will face buffalo that they're different defensively in terms of the challenges that they present then. Carolina is a a really good defensive team. They're going to give them a lot. Softer Zone looks and make it hard on him. But they get good pressure up front with four Kiki's really pretty amazing player. They're good they're good. They're not great. You can score on Carolina you can move the ball on Carolina honey. Can't you can't make mistakes like he did last week with the ball. Don't make you pay for your so. We're clear on this. Detroit was the worst defensive team. Amy Is GonNa see maybe the giants when it gets late in the season but they even make it harder with some of what they do cover drives Detroit. Didn't that ballgame visit. The lines signed. Were not a good defensive team with their best defensive player out and their safety the panthers are second in the League behind the forty niners in sacks and that Brian Burns guy that we sort of liked in the draft from Florida State and leading. Sorta you love me love. You might Mike just liked him. I liked sweat more you liked you. Loved Burns Burns his having a hell rookie year. Real quickly on sweat. You're seeing any progress. Obviously the one sack on on unblocked you know what I mean. He should be able to get that one but any progress from him. I'm I'm not seeing a ton of progress progressive from montage right now. He's an every down player but he is not putting together. His rush moves A- and he's fine in the run game. I prefer to see him with his hand. Down and a one gap kind of disrupt or more than the way. They're playing him. which is what? I'm sure will happen next year. But he's gotta find a way to put together some counter moves in his pass rush US game he is. He's not any not winning with this. I very often. He's not winning with the speed. The power which should be primary move and once he doesn't win with that that you gotta find your counter move off of that and he's not he's not got a plan for it yet. Why doesn't Steven Sims return punts? I can't answer that. Do you think he should on a team to can't score. Yep certainly seem like you're good idea you to me also one everybody thinks should everybody. Everybody thinks he should and I don't mean everybody in the building. I'm just I'm just saying I think everybody ever talked about one of the top things comes comes up. One last question doesn't return punts because of the pick off that he dropped. That could be. That could be a good point One last question for the third time that I've said one last question is is it crazy to say that Eric Flowers has played the most consistently gently among all of the offensive lineman. This year I think probably played the most consistent. Okay Eric. Flowers has been as a good player at Garda. You haven't noticed it which is essentially the fan. What you want from an offensive lineman? He's been a pleasant surprise. I let's switch subjects real quickly. What did you think of Lamar Jackson on Monday night in the Ravens? It's not just Monday night. It's an it's not just Lamar Jackson. It's the Baltimore's fucking good man. I don't know what to say. I've watched that game and I. It's just their defense is outstanding. The way they run the ball is unbelievable. The speed that they play with on the offense is ridiculous and Lamar Jackson. Present such an unbelievable problem as a as a ball carrier. You're too bad as how do you defend what he can do with his legs in the past game and Greg Roman is gotta get a ton of credit for what he's done on with this offense as well as Lamar Jackson probably the MVP. Billy and I know that Russell Wilson's playing well and guys are playing well but he is not it's over it's over if you have any coordinator would rather play under Lamar Jackson. Every single one will tell you. Russell Wilson at least complement a plan for Russell Wilson. There is no plan for what Lamar Jackson doing right now. You said before that draft. He's the best running back in the draft and I think right I think that included Saquon Barkley said he's he's he would be the most electric running back in the best running back in the draft. But he's he's much more than that now right like I. I thought watching him. And you're right. It's not just the other night just that the the other night was a Monday night. Game in the Coliseum against the defending. NFC Champions who are struggling but a good defensive football team and they scored on their. I six drives four in the first half I. Two in the second half touchdown drives six for six on touchdown drives and then they're seven thrive with our G. Three in the game was a field goal Dr But but it was just. It was just incredible to watch what that kind of dual threat quarterback me does to a defense and then I think he looked so much more comfortable in the pocket I think he to and you have to credit him for making good decisions seasons. He is a early in the season. He made a lot of bad decisions. He got away with a lot of writing but he he's not making bad decisions and and if that involves him running that he's going to run where when you're going to truly know first of all I don't care if he's more than what he is. He's the biggest problem in the NFL. Right now with what he currently is wouldn't them in when you're gonNA know if he if he could just handle the drought that game and a regular game plan and I don't WanNa say regular I what he's doing to be a regular game plan. It's fun but when he's going to handle what Dwayne handling right now is when he sprained his ankle or does something like mahomes did early in the season and he can't run but he's in the game. That's when you'll know how good of a drug that quarterback is when and he has to be a drop back quarterback hopefully never will. Hopefully it's healthy. Because he is fun to watch the offense that's when you'll know is when he banged up sixty percent of the runner and the other team knows it eventually. What happened to Robert? You're that's when you'll know what he is in doubt that game so now I yeah I mean he's not is right now. He's the best football player in the League right now. That's what he is. I don't care what kind of I don't care the way he plays quarterback. I don't care whether or not there's a one read check down run system. It doesn't matter. He's the best player in the League right now. And he's actually I. I went through this yesterday with Tommy. He is you know on a shortlist over the last thirty years of forty years of me watching sports a shortlist of of the one of those unique athletes players that has become must watch absolute must watch he so electric electric. He's so exciting. He so totally unique now. Nothing and I think when we did that whole dressing. I said if you if you'll run the ball y'all taken taking number one of the draft picking number one and if he'll do whatever I wanted to do I'll take him number one and I didn't that point see him I I think to some extent I said that is weapon like slash player. They can throw the Balsam. Forget that but if you'll run the ball he's the best player in pick you know what when I mentioned that Griffin came in and led the field goal drive and what you just said there. It sort of makes me think about Griffin standing on the sidelines watching this guy play football in knowing that in twenty twelve basically in a coaching staff that brought this kind of football into the league and it's obviously been thriving. I'm here for seven years but Jackson's taken it to a completely different level really Baltimore's taken into a different level because it's not. It's not ten fifteen percent of a scheme. It's a lot more than that in their scheme. But the biggest difference like if Griffin's looking out there thinking to himself that was me no it wasn't because Jackson's sins willing to play football this way and Griffin wasn't I mean there are other differences. Actually that I think about this Griffin's that straight line track athlete with no vision no ability to sort of avoid. The big hit and Jackson has great vision great elusiveness and is able to avoid the big hit even though always a little bit bigger and stronger than say a Russell Wilson and he will. Actually you know engage in a hit but Yeah not to mention the fact that one is coaching them into that. Maybe Roberts understanding that but to anybody watching what he's doing this year so Robert should event and when Robert was willing to be the check down which is what Lamar Jackson willing to do. Hey Look I don't need you find check down I'd rather have you run the ball up and have a back. Catch it three yards in the flat. We have a better chance of getting yards if you become the runner and when Robert was doing that is what Baltimore was doing but Jackson's a much better runner than Griffin Cooley. I know but Robert could feel often run in the fact that he took one for seventy against Minnesota. I know that I know that. But he also got hit in angles in situations where Jackson Russell Wilson and guys like that Vic back in the day didn't get.

"He and he and Clinton did a show following the game on Monday. You you make a good point about you know the excuse making it. I want to get to some of that. I also want to say this with respect Wayne Haskins. He's GonNa Start these final five games barring injury and he's going to start sixteen games more likely than not next year. I think you know that there's going to be enough there that that will intrigue people at the end of this year in that building and not enough to convince people necessarily but enough to intrigue people. And there's no chance they're you're gonNA draft a quarterback in two thousand twenty so buckle in it's GonNa be at least another twenty one starts for join Haskins next next year sixteen in this year's five unless Alex Smith makes some sort of miraculous recovery. You would agree with that right. Yeah I think that the bengals are gonNA take for number one anyways because I think it's impossible to pass on that pick and as per we've fallen to four and might stay at for based on the bodily NFL. You can agree with that. I I don't see any reason for him not to start every game next here. Whether or not Alex Smith Recovers Right. And that's in part because I I don't necessarily see especially if the coaching change this redskins team as a super bowl contending team and so insane that I don't have a reason to to play anybody Eddie but the quarterback for the future less. I saw them as as a team that was building to win. Ten Eleven Games with Alex likes and I hope that's not no. We're going to get hyped next year. For whatever happens but I. I don't know if that's realistic. It should be the way all all right. Let's get to the SELFIE afterwards. Your call Larry Doc in in coolies call when you know case keenum goes out there and you say very surprisingly surprisingly. He's over there taking selfies hysterical. But what he was doing I know. So what was your reaction to this. I'm not that concerned with it. I'm really not EA IF I was waiting waiting over. Said yeah well. We shouldn't have twenty seconds left on the clock. No and and and I was surprised that Fabian be an headed pick. That ended the game that I thought the game was GONNA end anyway. I I don't care. He was he was pretty high and he almost broke water bottle. Any went and took some pictures. I any thought the game was over. I really don't care I I just don't do it as a teaching aware aware if I needed to use that as a teaching moment we have the wrong guy just so we're clear on this. I don't need to teach anybody that they need to stay focused throughout the entire game. Okay how how would you pay your a frog. Would you have handled it. If you're the coach how would you have handled it. I would have said almost what the bill says. Look I wanted him there. I'm glad case was available. I'll talk to him afterwards. We'll talk about okay. That's how you would. That's what you would. It said to the media what we don't do that again and that's it what would you I mean. The only the thing that I didn't like was that he needed to be made aware. I don't blame Sean for this but to anybody. The game wasn't over here on television. Taking these welcome cases taking the fact that in by the way. That's how I knew because during our call whereas Dwayne I saw the television uh of it so I wasn't trying to throw him under the bus. It was just he was on. TV TV throw him under the bus. I guess here's the teaching moment right. They're watching everything you do. You're never alone in the stadium. They're going to know when you're talking to your offensive line. Join the number on your over there with the fans. They're going to watch everything that you do always in this the TV isn't on you. There's how many videos from people's phones just on you and especially now someone's going to be videoing him the entire game so let's make sure we know that you're always on camera. That would be the teaching moment. It's it's it's a little bit more than that. I feel the same way you do. I did not get wrapped up in this as if it was the worst thing I had ever seen. I do not feel necessarily that. It's going to be revealing anything although we may look back in. Throw all these things together. League done. Messed up fifty dollar tickets to watch the draft with him and his family and H. and H. Marketing at a Bowling Alley The selfie at the end of his first win against a terrible team that he shouldn't have been overly thrilled about beating nineteen to sixteen aim. But whatever it is I when I chalk it up to him being excited winning the first game and it's the world didn't end because because of it but I would assume and this would not make me believe that I had the wrong guy but I would assume twenty two years old that I needed to tell the him I needed to say to him and explained to him that this was a mistake that your job is to take that snap in that victory formation and I would have killed him with compliments. I the John Wooden thing I did this one. I coached young kids game. Four compliments because they're not going to hear the criticism unless you give them four compliment. I would've said it's a hell of a final drive that the dry before. That was a hell of a final drive. I loved the run that you made you really overcome some adversity. You delivered in the Clutch to get your first win. Congratulations gradulate. I was very impressed with that now as it relates to You not being on the field to take that final snap and victory formation. That is your your fault you should have been there. That's a mistake that you made It didn't end the world. Nobody's GonNa die because of it. We're all GONNA breathe all right But I WANNA make sure that you understand Dan. That is your head coach. Think that's a mistake and I won't tolerate it again now. There's another part of this. which is the optics what happens again? We'll see you can ask me. What are you GonNa do if if it happens again? We'll you're threatening. I don't have to give. I don't have to give the punishment for the next time unless he asks me. And if he does. I'm going to demand disrespectful and I might bench him next week. Excuse me you're not you're not gonNA it. Sounds like telling my son. He better sit at the table during dinner or I'm not going to give cookie after dinner. I won't do it. I will give you that cookie cookie. Were you asking me what I would do I would tell you. I don't have any answer yet but there would be punishment. Ford yes there would be either or miss the first series or the first half or something if he asks me we'll coach. What's the punishment for it if I do it again? I would actually deemed to be inappropriate and disrespectful as a follow up question and I might find bench him right then and there for that reaction but I'm not suggesting he ask you what the punishment would be. So I don't have to give an answer to you also have to realize willing to punish me punish Asian for it again. I'm not GonNa do that very thing again. But what is what's the next thing that could happen. You do something else silly we got we got. We've got to handle it differently. First of all. You didn't let me finish my thing. Might my thing would have finished as follows after I killed them with compliments because he deserved served a over the final two drives and said he then made it very clear that him not being there for the final kneel down in the victory formation while nobody died in everybody's breathing Rog in a live. It's a mistake you made a mistake. The game was not over. We'll coach I thought it was over. That's not the point it wasn't over and that's find that you thought it was over and I'm so happy that you were super excited and wanted to celebrate it. Not only with your teammates on the sideline which he did all right but then with the fans ends as well. I thought that that I think that would be great when the game is actually over. I just WanNa make sure you understand that. While I didn't I'm not overly worked up over it I don't I think it's the end of the world I also recognize and I want you to recognize that it was a mistake and it can't happen again. You got it coach. Thanks that's all I might go into the optics of it. I if he really you know I might go into the optics of it because it's GonNa blow up into a PR thing and you. You can say that you don't care about that and I would say I don't care much about it either. But the state of this franchise right now. It's probably not best for the overall Rawle team franchise business of the Redskins and I want you to care about that too. That's the more important part of the conversation is this is not not what you needed. More than fifty percent of the media is going to be about this. Oh it's going to be important that we handled this right going forward. Hold go into your office if I had done that and I go into the head. Coach was the first thing. I'm GONNA say coach. That can't do that again. Not GonNa. I'm not GonNa let you coach me up on that. I think he I think anybody'll I hope he has the awareness that he's GonNa do that right now and that would be great like if he if if they had a meeting and he said coach before you even say what you're GonNa say and I'm GonNA listen to everything you're going to say I'm just going to tell you I am so sorry I I thought the game was over but that's no excuse. I should have been out there. I promise you won't happen again. That's on me. I you know the problem with it coolly. Then you get to the press conference not problem. A lot of people thought it was a problem that the press conference became almost combative to a certain degree. He I said you know. He broke the water ball water bottle. He thought that was the game is over and he made a mistake and then he came back and then he said well the game. The game wasn't a the game was over And so and then he you know got into it a little bit with the accuracy issues. It wasn't the the cleanest press conference for them. Either I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt out on that as well because I think he's been under a lot of pressure you know and he's been he's been criticized think he was nervous to a little bit personally. But that's the one thing he can learn the most from the entire press conference and as a head coach. I don't think you can have a discussion with that. If if you really put close to them you can have your PR department. You can have somebody else have that discussion and and just go through the teaching moments from the press conference. Because I'm with you I will also give them the benefit of the doubt on that one but I don't want them to continue to be like that right because it won't be good for it. It won't be good for him exactly. I also don't mind that if then if I mean I don't know how he feels about it but if he walked out of that thing instead I don't really we give a shit what they think. I'm getting ready for Carolina. That doesn't bother me either. Actually on some level real quickly to other things from the game. One one back to Kelvin harm and do you think he's a number two receiver. I haven't decided yet. He doesn't have the elites feet need to be a real number two. I here's the thing they're planum as as the which is the off the ball strong side receiver and I don't think he provides what you need in terms of some of the speed elements that a true Z provides. He's more of an ex receiver but it's also the Terry's more more of an ex receiver Paul's your Z.. Place seen him. Where where do you place Kelvin? Because I think he is your single side receiver more times than not on the ball. Swank Guy Your Guy. But he doesn't truly threaten the defense. I know that he got over the top on the third and long but I haven't he's got he's got incredible pans. He's got to develop a little bit more route runner. But I don't know if I the truth. Be for him to be a pure to..

"You want it you need it. It's what everyone's talking about the Kevin Sheehan show. Now here's Kevin Yeah. Thank God. I didn't even see it Erin. Woke up this morning at four. Am looked at my phone. Fifteen plus text messages on opened a brand new all of them This gives you some insight into what really you know Moves me the and many of my friends Duke lost my favorite text message came from one hall of fame coach Gary Williams who texted me after the game and I didn't see it again until until four this morning. He's like Duke. Just lost to Stephen F.. Austin what the Hell is going on question Mark Question Mark A lot of you texted me. Steve Sands I got it. I was sound asleep. I watched the first quarter of the wizards game and I fell asleep. Sleep and I woke up to that for this morning. And there you go I do morning radio As many of you now you didn't know that you can listen to me on the team. Nine eighty seven to ten any and weekday mornings and I was exhausted last night. Aaron and fell asleep and woke up to that I watched all of the highlights of Dukes lost to Stephen F. Austin and read as much as I could To get ready for this particular conversation I wish I had watched it because I think that you know I did watch the EVANSVILLE game. Aim Against Kentucky a few weeks ago and I told you I think the next day that was really striking to me in that game early on. Is that Evansville was not afraid. Great you know most teams go into Ruppert. They go into cameron endure and they're looking around. They're like Oh wow. This is what cameron indoor looks like. This is what rep looks like and you gotTa do the hoosiers thing to measure the rim to the floor and tell your kids hates It's ten feet. And then you've got a measure you know the rim to the free throw line fifteen feet same measurements as our Jim. Back in Evansville Indiana or wherever they were from. Where's the hoosiers team from forgetting the little town that they were from right right now? SAR- with the Crock is something along those lines. Somebody's GonNa pull it right now. You're screaming at me right now. So we will get that here momentarily but In watching that Kentucky game a few weeks ago it was like man. Evansville wasn't afraid. Well Clearly Stephen F. Austin was not afraid and the reason that these things happen and last night was the biggest I point spread upset. In Fifteen Years Duke was a twenty seven and a half point favorite library Hickory Hickory of course Twenty seven and a half point favorite last night Over Stephen F. Austin Kentucky was what at Twenty six point favorite of Evansville something like that twenty five and a half eighty six. I I believe And so Biggest point spread upset in the last fifteen years. I non conference home loss at Cameron. Indoor for Duke since two thousand Saint John's beat him. They were the last non conference team to walk into to Cameron Endure and win So last night was really shocking. But when this stuff happens and it happens and you know we've seen it in recent years Wofford over North Carolina by the way that former wofford coach. That has now coaching Virginia Tech. Really good he can really coach. I've watched Virginia attack a little bit this year. I watched him the other night against Michigan State. They got blown out by Dayton Dayton. A good team. That dude can coach. I played golf yesterday and Ran into a one of my favorite coaches in town. And we were talking about you know. Buzz Williams and Texas am in Maryland. Could get them right in the semi finals in Orlando and I think Buzz Williams Williams is good coach and I just said. Have you seen the do that used to coach Wofford. He's like Oh my God. How about this stuff? He runs he can really do it but anyway Typically what you get get in these upsets in. Why they happen is probably one of the big reasons it happened last night? The top eight players for Stephen F. Austin or seniors. There's in juniors the starting five Duke for Freshman and Sophomore trae. Jones is a sophomore very good. One eight turnovers last night in the game. But you know you're you're talking very often in these cases about grown men against younger teenagers Who by the way only played a few games? Now you get those four five star freshman and sophomore at the end of the year and they've played twenty games twenty five games. They've basically now become you know uh Experienced now you're catching them and they're not as experienced and you're playing a team that has seniors and juniors a senior point guard. Who played forty minutes? Last fascinate for Stephen F.. Austin there were a couple of other things that were interesting about the game. I didn't see the game again so I can't really comment on whether or not. This was a dog whistle or not. Were you watching the game. Did you watch the whole thing. I did not watch the whole thing. Obviously it was just kind of a nothing game at first. I was actually watching watchman on. Hbo I org. That's great. Oh it's really really good particularly if you're a fan of the comic book or Movie But then as wrapping up I see you know two minutes left here in camera. I'm Oh I think I need to watch this so pretty much from two minutes. Left in regulation through overtime. Well then you may not have a sense of the following either but duke shot forty free throws and Stephen F. Austin shut seventeen which is not unusual for Duke game at Cameron Indoor for Duke to get what we have all learned to be over the years the Duke Whistle at home or they're on the road or a neutral court. I have no idea if they got that or not last night from from what I saw and then from what I was reading and talking to people afterwards it was a pretty fair whistle for all. So so here's the thing. Though to only made twenty four of forty free throws they missed sixteen free throws so. There's your game right there like I didn't. I don't need to have watched the game to say this game doesn't go to overtime. If they're just horrible from the free throw line instead of ethically bad from the free throw line Stephen and also forced twenty two turnovers which tells me that either Duke was really out of it or Stephen F. Austin was really You was really the aggressor the aggressor one thing. I did notice in one of the highlights and a key possession late in the game. It's so odd in Those of you that really are into hoops ups and many of you I know listened to the podcast of the radio. Show are involved in the you know in in the DC area in basketball and we've all sort of in the last couple of years. Here's been blown away. At how much coach K.. Has Played Zone. Defensively Shoshefsky was for years man. That's it I mean you had had to put a gun to his head to get him to play zone and in the last several years you've seen in play more and more zone defense and he's actually talked about it and he said look. Look when you're recruiting five star freshmen. Who are coming in here? Who in many cases played in a programs where they weren't coached particularly particularly well in the art of guarding? You know straight up in guarding pick and roll in in sort of pick and roll era era. He said it's just a lot easier to teach zone lot easier to teach him zone and to have him play zone but last night on one as I'm watching the highlight package there up up one okay. They weren't down in the game. They were up a point. I think late in the game may be regulation and I'm watching Stephen F.. Austin moved the ball around against two to three zone and unlike playing Stephen F. Austin you're sitting back in two to three zone seriously and Stephen F. Austin seemed to be a well coached team ball. Didn't hit the ground. Four or five I passes guys got a wide open three knocks it down and they're up to. I mean you would've never back in the day. Scenes Chef ski in a tight game came against a team that he's more talented than playing as zone on a key possession. The game anyway. I thought that was interesting. Stephen F.. Austin in the southland conference is only picked to finish fourth pre season. It's not like they've had some really good teams in tournament teams in in recent recent years. I don't think they're in the tournament last year but they were picked to finish behind New Orleans Sam Houston state in Abilene Christian in their league. You were going to say something something. I was just going to say something about Duke Really. And that's obviously no one expected this. No one expected anything like this. I kind of expected to see dukes stumbled pretty quickly here and again not here not in this game but this is not the duke that we've grown accustomed to. Why do you say that? I haven't watched enough of them yet. They're not nearly eighty. Don't have a lottery pick on the team. As of now they do not have a lottery. Pick on the team. That will be the first time. And I'm I'm pulling up the draft history now first time since God twenty. This Guy Vernon carries not a lottery. Now he's he's first round but not lottery and he's by far their highest draft draft. I thought I saw him. The lays mock draft for like twenty two or something like that. It'll be the first time two thousand thirteen. They don't have a lottery. Pick assuming that Kerry doesn't really explode They're obviously a good team. Troy Jones awesome. They're an experienced teamer at least slightly more experience than last year. But this wasn't your typical all are. Here's a guy he's an. Rj here's guys we bring in and they immediately you know Jabari Parker. They immediately contribute. That wasn't this team and and while I expected them to be good I did expect them that they were going to lose a few of these again. Not necessarily this game but maybe some games. We didn't necessarily expect them lose. How many of their guys are projected? First Rounders I think so. Just pulling up. GimMe a minded raft. Here's NBA draft dot net not necessarily the most reputable. But let's see we have Vernon Carey. That's it only only we'll trade Jones have potentially gone in the late first round last year I thought they trade Jones and early second rounder. In this one. Wow Okay I mean that that. That certainly could be a reason. You I mean when you get. NBA Lottery picks on your team. Like they had last year and R J Barrett and Cam Reddish Zayn Williamson. You know forgetting one from last year. Remember yeah when they lost lost design and coach K.'s giving us the woe is me story and I'm thinking to myself wait a minute. He's still barrick cameras. You're still to top five. I top ten picks thing about this year's draft. You may not see a Duke or Kentucky player in the lottery interesting. One thing that I do remember I've not watched a lot of Duke. I saw him in that opener against Kansas. You know in the in that opening Game in that double header with Michigan State Plan Kentucky Kansas Playing Duke and they you know they were sloppy with the ball. They turned it over a bunch. Kansas turned it over bunch but I know that they because I was interested from gambling standpoint. I know they they were in a dog fight with Georgia state. A couple like two weeks ago a week and a half ago and Georgetown gave him everything that they you know. That's different George Shannon Stephen F. Austin but wasn't Georgia neither in the lead or tied at halftime. I think against Duke They let at one point in the game. I believe they went on that big run Feels at halftime. But yeah they play they play in East Lansing Against Michigan State in the ACC big ten thing jamming up which will be interesting so anyway Michigan State another team? That could have problems. Did you see what Is said ISO said. He apologized for for the loss. I did through that Genentech which you know to be honest with you. I don't like when coaches do that because it's demeaning to the team that beat you and I watched enough of that game to know that Virginia Unitech totally deserved to win the game. Absolutely I don't need you don't need to apologize to your fan base for losing a game to team that played you. He did say the that Caches Winston who lost his brother His brother passed away. You know very young age obviously A couple of weeks ago that Winstons just been dealing with grief that has really impacted. you know his game caches. Winston is an all American He's the front runner for the big ten player of the year. And that there's just you know immeasurable grief in the Winston family and it's impacting his play. which obviously is understandable but Izzo did speak to that. You know. I the context in which he was speaking to it. was in the context text of they haven't played well He said quote This was after they beat Georgia yesterday. You know the day after losing Virginia Tech the night before Izzo said quote we got an all American. That's probably gone through one of the toughest things that any human being would go through and we're just going to have to keep working him day to day through that closed quote. Vote You've got you've got Michigan State and Duke facing off in a couple of weeks. Last night was great college basketball. This time of year needs needs things like this quite honestly. Last year was a very unique year. If compared to other recent years Other years recently in College Football College basketball. Because you had a superstar Star from night one in Zion Williamson everybody. Everybody was paying attention to the sport because of him Too many years here over the last decade the sport is become a one one month of the year sport so to have Evansville go into Kentucky and win at Rupp into have Stephen F. Austin shocked Duke. You know especially during the week of Holiday a college hoops games probably pretty good for the sport All right I wanted to Wanted to get to something here coolest going to be in the show..

"Justin Haskins is with us. He's the editor of the heartland institute. Somebody who has been on my radar for quite a while. And I went up to CPAC intentionally tried to sneak in on a panel. And watch him. Unfortunately, it was a smaller room. And so he saw me, and I hope I didn't fro you off at all. But you were fantastic. Thank you. You're very sneaky, by the way. Really? But you were you were truly fantastic. Thank you very much. And so I've we've talked several times, and I wanted to have you on today, and you're part of the special that we're talking about on socialism because you have a book out that is what is it? Socialism is evil. Yep. Title to remember that so. Pretty clear it's pretty clear and also you are with stopping socialism dot com. And I think we talked about this years ago on the air when you said, you were doing something or maybe I just talked about it. Just imagine. We just talked about maybe there. Well, maybe. Absolutely. Yes, talk about. And you were just a guy who was you know, you're a student. I think at the time in your wanting to put up yet. This is something I've been wanting to do for a very very long time. And so the past really with the rise of Alexandria 'cause Cortez and Bernie Sanders, I realized something absolutely had to be done right away. We couldn't wait any longer the country's going to disappear in ten years. If we don't do something right now. I don't know if we have so naturally, I made a website. Saves the world. That's what. But I tell you getting the word out about socialism because you know, singing about it last night..

"And Josh there, it seems that way, but I just don't know how much it will plane. There has been here. I feel like they went too far in trying to conceal but they were going to do with the number one pick which is kind of silly because you pick. I and you get to do whatever it is that should want right. Like they were calling guys the day of the draft Williams saying, hey, you still might be in this. And I guess if you keeping up that beside then you can't trade Josh Rosen, any sooner, but man. It. Sure feels like they should've traded Josh roses sooner should why. I don't really understand how he gets down with his get down. But I also I don't understand what Miami is doing it. They are making this trait. Everything we've heard is that they were going to set fire to this sees and go look to get to a tug of somebody else in the draft next year. If you're playing was to be bad this year, you don't trade for quarterback, this you think might be good. No. And just Rosen by the way is clearly a distressed asset now. But you do wonder they traded a fifth of third in their own. I move up to take Josh Rosen in the off season, by the way, Steve guede, as you say he also signed Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon, right? So v idea that Steve com is doing anything, but going all in on the clip Kingsbury and Kyle vary experience to save himself that seems to be the only unifying theory what this front office is trying to do again. If that's what you're gonna do. Just go ahead and do it. All this other stuff. You do a secondarily ROY? Just does not make any sense. Because look if you're going to they're made a paradigm shifting higher with Kingsbury. They went so far to hire. Dude who thirty five and forty in college because they wanna shake the game that bad. If that's what you wanna do. If you're gonna make a decision that honestly looks that bad on paper, then you might as well all in on it. I just don't know who they're trying to eat wild roses already on followed them. So there is that last name Swain Haskins because the Ohio State quarterback fell to Washington with the fifteenth pick. That's watch Haskins reaction when the giants passed on him to select the F or mentioned Daniel Jones at number six. The joint selects. Biannual Seaney also reported that Drew's Allen and Dan Snyder quote fixated on Dwayne Askins, but that book Paul people Repleting for Daniel Jones. So what do you make of all that? So like is it possible? The Dan Snyder is the one with the right idea. Like one thing that's been peculiar to me about Washington's off season is we keep entertaining. This idea that Smith is going to play football again. And even if he played football again like he wouldn't becoming all the main catastrophic injury their quarterback room as of right now is Alex Smith on one leg, case keenum and Colt McCoy who I am guaranteeing. You will be hurt soup. So why are you not looking for quarterback at this point? I don't know what happens is that guy necessarily. But he seems like he's a decent fit. But it does seem like Ben Snyder has his fingerprints on this pick as much as any we've seen since Robert Griffen. The third because his son went to high school with way to ask. And they know each other. He was the only Dwayne asking was the only. Interview that Dan Snyder sat in on at the combine, here's a billionaire. This is the franchise quarterback. I assume this is the part of the job he thinks is fun with here is how Jay Gruden sounded Bomani. When asked about this yesterday. Did you see a scenario where he's competing for that shutting job right away? Well, if you're a fifteenth pick in the draft, I think you have to give them an opportunity right without a doubt. So. I do he thinks he needs to win right now. He wants to win right now rookie quarterback is not necessarily the way to go about that. He probably thinks he can scheme up one of these vets. His scheme is good. He's a good offense and rookie quarterback is not what he wants. But let me ask you this about Haskins. This is where it gets play..

"Or not Dwayne Haskins is their next season urban Meyer won't be and when the dust settles in history looks back on urban Meyer. What will be said ESPN analyst, David Pollock is one of the best coaches of all time urban Meyer that was a guy that's had complete tunnel vision. He's a guy that's been what are the best motivators one of the best psychologist. I've ever been around. Just an innovator of football. You talk about some of the stuff he was doing with Tim tebow when he came into the SEC wasn't vogue, and you can't run your quarterback. And you can't do that cute stuff that you can do at other conferences come in. And have a lot of success. So one of the winningest coaches of all time, one of the best coaches of all time one of the best motivators of all time. What are the best big game coaches of all time? And I think everybody's also gotta remember the end at Florida in the end it Ohio State, and that's part of your legacy. But there's no denying on the field. What he's been able to accomplish in. It's been really special David all infield. What does it tell you that he continuously said this week as we see his exit now? And if I didn't have somebody like Ryan day, you bet your bottom dollar. I'd be back in Columbus. Well, I I compare this situation very favorably to Bob stoops a couple years ago with Lincoln Riley. I think he knows what he has in Ryan day Ryan day had an opportunity a year ago to go take another college opportunity to go be an offer to coordinator with the Tennessee titans. He had those opportunities. He knows what listen urban Meyer is not lying when he talks about Ohio State, and what this program means to him. And what is meant to him over the years? I think he wanted to leave this program in great shape by picking Ryan day as the successor and understanding what he's gonna do. He leaves the programming great hands. And he knows this program is going to be very successful that he talks about a lot that he loves a lot that he's grew up idolizing wanting to be on this stage coaching that team. So I think that he left it as good as he wanted it left. He wanted to leave it better than he founded. I think he's doing that.
