"Only brought out on the tour graphics. Sixteen which is the platform. That only i in kanye west owned and it was also it wasn't it was kind of a it. It definitely wasn't nearly as good as the arcade original but it was a game that if you're reading gaining magazine in the early nineties you would have been aware of it because it was getting a lot of coverage in the press. So it's really cool. They just take something pretty obscure But for gamers Of a certain age they would definitely have fond memories of reading about maybe never played it. Release it The this is based on the best home version. Which is some japanese consulate. Collect x sixty eight thousand. It's very strange then. They also totally remade it with upgraded visuals. Even though they're still pixel art. It's like fancy. Picks lord like dead cells. That wouldn't possible in the early nineties. And they all they even Sort of tweets the gameplay mechanics in avenue new mechanic where you see the gyms that are floating around enemies use. If you shoot the gyms your shot will be refracted to a diet to to diagnose an will become more powerful so it's sort of introduces a new way to play the game and it's really cute. Side scrolling cute him up replay as a witch and a little fairy whose her helper in a definitely a dame game in. It's cool. i actually first time playing it. And i've been really enjoy. What's cotton on witch a witch yup cotton and silk. Let's check in with the listeners. Listeners remember always reach us at the email address games at agenda dot com. Just like joel. Hartselle did is says. Hello mega cops longtime listener and big fan. With the recent metro. Dread announcement seems everyone is excited and buying the we used to purchase play all the old great metro games on the Thoroughly thing that's happening. Actually i just had to deal with that because to legally get zero mission and fusion. That's that's the way to do. You can capture you there in the store. in shop. The gameboy advance games are the nishat shop and so having a we is like pretty cool to be able to buy those games. Reteach out you can do that in a couple other ways. You could get a game boy player. A gamecube an accessible system more accessible than game i do wanna put like Mission or not rare hard to find. Gdp games either like zero life. I seen on ebay twelve bottles. Maybe there's phaser gather fakes jerks. It's i traded away my zero emission for very good trade. By the way i got the best deal out of it but now missile mark ryan how i zero emission cart. Turn that into one hundred dollars at the box version event. Joel says it's got me thinking. Do you guys think that dread may finally be metro chance to make a big impression on a larger audience. And we'll sell really well maybe get some new fans. I don't wanna wait another twenty years for another metro game. I went intended to see that people really do love. These games should make more more often. That's no certainly not now. And i say that as a gigantic metro fan mike. I'm resigned to this franchises. Fate is always being like not even a half tier but a full tier underneath. You know zelda. Mario like the big nintendo grace like like. Let's be realistic. I think the game looks really cool. I'm really really excited about it. And i love that. We're getting tutti metro but like you know there's a ceiling to how big like a judy. You know or two point. Five d you know action game can can be twenty twenty one. In my opinion. i thought that too. Then we've had a couple breakouts in the past and the fact that the switches i mean i suppose you know metros have been on hand held consoles for forever but something about the feels far more mainstream in its accessibility. So it's possible that like an hd version especially for people know because so much time has lapsed especially for people who never got to play the series or never got into it might be entry point but if i had to guess like the first person prime series would probably be more popular sandwich. You think well. I think like you know. Metro barely came back at all at any point. I think what really caused. Its resurgence was fast for others. I think like you know. The existence of sam says like an original character like really helped. Then i'd like resurfaced in you know these kind of unpopular and they are unpopular gameboy and gamecube games. That were just like super critically acclaimed. I think like if fact that like sakamoto has like clout in in nintendo making. So you can make these games. But i can't believe intendo making them like they never saw well. I don't think it'll ever stand a chance of selling with route. It's going either except for a prime briefly was like the best looking game in the world and that's a chance of being a shooter that everybody wanted to play. I don't think we can't even get back to that. So i don't know. I think metro Doomed want one issue is that dread yup one one issue. That would be really solvable and cool the if they like gave it like an interesting universe. Inmates amazon interesting character and stuff. And they've that's just gone so poorly. The other am was terrible for that and you know. Any development of that universe has been a real problem. So it's like there's that's another way to like stretch people's interest in a series right that that that series is like only about the game play. And i think some to some extent how cool osama's anyway but like we've never been drawn into that is like whoa like halo will draw you into that universities so cool the world building so amazing and the more you learn about it was. It's not that. I don't think it's been that way for trading. It has an uphill battle. For as long as i have been a gamer and a metro fan like metro and fans have been beleaguered from the beginning. I like it's it's You know we forever been on the back foot and like you know like sort of clamoring for respect and the fact that that might not be the case like As new metro game it looks great. There's two triple eight metro games coming out. Like i kind of don't know what to do with myself like my opener was like. Of course metro drive is going to be a commercial disappointment. Just 'cause like that's where like my head's faces is someone nets That's been a big fan of his franchise from beginning but I would love. Love love at Trip over themselves and sell a million copies of something inch Everything that you guys are saying about metro history is true. Maybe the difference here is the phenomenal success of the switch in the fact that nintendo has released so many million selling games of its own on that platform on your point and tina's white like that. The system is is a hardcore gaming system and a accessible like entry level system but nintendo has had that with a popular metro on it since like super nintendo. Like the gamecube was art versus in the nobody purchased and so nobody like you know got into intendo that way a we was a huge system everywhere. Ds too but neither of them had big metrics on them. That will great okay at this on. It's just weird like it's been a long time since there's been like a system with a big hardcore audience that's matched what metro is which is like does school like twitchy yard or is any humor it will in it. It's built up a lot of goodwill it. You know people. Like i think every metre dread has been really well received which you know is a guaranteed thing like people could've looked at it and given it some side i but like once everybody saw in motion or saw the extended gameplay demo like i was certainly one over and i feel like a lot of people mind. We're actually like okay. Okay okay like the nintendo kind of got at least the hardcore fan base on board and then we'll have to see if that spills over into into the masses. Feel like you go. I was just going to say. I feel like i'm trying to loader analytics right now. It's not really working. But i feel like they had metro at the nintendo direct this year for the three showcase and i feel like our coverage didn't really pop which is usually a good indicator of where the audience is at with a feeling it feels it kind of came and went without a lot of fanfare around it. At least you know from from our circle or from what i detected off of it so it's usually a pretty.

"Tell us what's happening in the news. What's in the news? The beer guys have the scoop time for headlines All right so the biggest news of the week and maybe of the year constellation brands is selling ballast point. Two Chicago based kings. And convicts and if you're scratching your head right now asking asking who you're not alone because everybody else is asking the same thing. Prior to the announcement of the sale. They were virtually unheard of outside of Chicago and parts of Wisconsin. Where are they they do distribution? I did a quick check of their untapped. Page is to see how big they are and as of now what I checked. Anyway the total was seven thousand check INS. Ah Plus a little bit but total for all of their beers so they're very small so we're talking really small as you might have guessed things going poorly for balanced points under constellation nations brands ownership sales of the brand dropped thirteen percent in two thousand seventeen and fifteen percent in two thousand eighteen. And I'm sure two thousand nineteen wasn't really rosy see for them either so I can tell you. I don't see ballast point around on the shelves. Nearly as much as I did a few years ago when they were sold. So that's definitely not a good thing. The sale completes at the end the fiscal year. Twenty twenty at which time kings in convicts will take over the main production facility in Miramar California five brewpubs around California and a brew pop in Chicago and unsurprisingly what everybody wants to know. The financial details of the deal are not being disclosed but we are pretty sure they're not paying a billion dollars. Yeah no constellation. Did Not make their money back on this one. They didn't but they're looking on the bright side. This clears their plate so they can focus on important things like Corona Hartselle. Art Seltzer tip. "Significant damage to two space shuttle windshields was caused by debris. No larger than a Fleck of paint. This is innovation now bringing you stories behind the ideas that shave our future. Current technology can't pinpoint orbital debris in the sub millimeter two millimeter range, but something only a fraction of a millimeter in size can be dangerous to spacecraft or robotic missions in the near earth environment. A team from the university of Maryland college park has found a way to detect these tiny particles and Nasr's innovative advanced concepts program has given the team funding to evaluate their mapping technique. Here's principal investigator, Christine Hartselle. So our Nyack concept is to use an Equatorial constellation of cubesats to math, small orbital debris by detecting. The plasma saw Tun's produced by the debris salt on waves are really a signal. In the plasma density. We can measure them using using relatively simple instrumentation like Ling their probe a fleet of small satellites equipped with sensors could enable real time mitigation, which would mean fewer on orbit collisions and a safer spacecraft environment for innovation. Photoshop host by the different size and smiling. You know, maybe point that he's you know. But yeah, maybe maybe that's what they needed possibly the marketing was to mysterious maybe they should have pushed the mystery little bit more. But I don't know whether it's a problem when you have a mystery that you you don't wanna get too much of what that is true. I think it just suffer from so many names of being being associated with other John on this. And so while it didn't do it. It's not it's not a failure. It wasn't a failure. It make some money you may. But it just nobody wants it was gone. Nobody talked about anymore almost everybody's mind. If you do get a chance to see that though, please do it's it's it's not only not only is they find thriller and mystery, but it's a very stylish to you talk about something where it's not the normal score of of of a Hollywood film are has the soundtrack regular Hollywood with a lot of French mute. A lot of French new wave music in, you know, so it's a very stylish film to to be, you know, studio film, really enjoyed it. I recommend you see. Let's go to number eight number eight. Now, you might have seen this. I don't know if you have a RMC in this, and even even this kind of dropped out of my mind for a while thought about it later in the year. And this is my sat along year amend going gonna pick me up around midnight midnight slate for us. I'll call your mom. She can come pick you up now. She's busy doing what chemotherapy. Ooh. Take that bits that's Libya cook in Anna, Taylor joy in that was the guy from boardwalk empire his name who who plays a completely different. I. But this is their OBE reds their breads. I did not see it. It's a man it is quite the interest in film Hartselle, also because murdering your parents doesn't really resonate would makes you bought into the whole lot especially when they're weird like this live your cook plays weird friend to this rich girl. Anna, Taylor joy and anti joys father. He's kind of a dig, but he's not abusive anything. But because this girl is just so sociopathic. She's like just bucking Kelham. Well, that's all everything. So similar to simple. Yeah. Yeah. I guess I guess killing family members, man. Not the big thing this last year. But it's a very it's, you know, I think what a movie like this is hard to sell to mainstream audiences because not only because of the theme of killing a parent. But it really is creepy creepy is just a live your cook. Just kind of gets under your skin. It's not scary. She's not, you know, not anything that you really fear. It's just kind of like how this girl is just so off, and it just didn't just unsettling to be around her. I thought this was one of those movies that only played it in theaters. Well, that's another thing was art house theater. But another reason why I say that this should have been more mainstream. I'm only I'm really saying this out out of respect for a certain person a thought that maybe an it's very very sad. But I thought that the passing of a certain person might have bumped this movie up a little bit more. So that people actually pay their respect to this person and go out and see it even doing. "One eight eight money bit eight six six six three nine seven four. Let's get right to it. Leslie whose first recent in Oregon you've got the money pit. How can we help you today? Well, I need someone to recommend really good gutters. Guard. So that I don't have to keep cleaning my gutters. All the time because every. What up there it gets more dangerous 'cause we're getting older, and they keep getting clogged because we have big trees around our house. We have maple ash and big sur's. And so consequently, you've got tiny little needles little seeds and big flat wide ones. Okay. Well, there's a number of different types of gutter guards and on money pit dot com. We have a very popular article that kind of walks you through the different types and tells you whether or not they're worth it or not. Title gutter guard that I seem to like the best are the ones that are mesh really thin mesh that has tiny holes in it in a permanently attached to the gutters themselves. And then the water basically runs through it and the leaves kind of wash off it. So I've had good success with that type of cutter guard personally, that's something that you might want to look into. They also have different types of nylon gutter guards or one call call it the bottle brush where like the brush release in the gutter what the kind that are mesh. I think she came to work the desk. There's a number of manufacturers out there that do that. And then the second type I would look at is called a reverse curve. And that's a piece of metal that goes up under the roof shingle and over the top of the gutter, and basically because water will sort of hug that that gutter guard it will run into the gutter and the leaves wash over the top. But if you go to go to money pit dot com in. Search for cost of gutter guards. Are they worth it? You'll find that story and walk you through all the options. Well, I can try but the biggest problem I had is the big fat maple leaves. 'cause they just stick to just about every gutter thing, I've tried. Right. Well, I'm telling you. I think you love the gutter guards that are after of you, find home centers just don't work very well. But I've found that the reverse curve and the mesh gutter guards seem to be the best. I will call you though, one sort of problem I have with the gutter guard industry is they tend to try to Hartselle you on these systems. So I would just make sure I find it very reputable company to deal with on that. I remember having a very bad experience some years ago where I was just strolling. Down the boardwalk in New Jersey. And there was a home show Cohen on. And there was a gentleman there that was just kind of pulled me out of the crowd wanted to sell me and gutter guards. And so I just kind of let him talk man, I could not get him to tell me how much product costs. He kept trying to get my wife, and I home in the house at the same time. So that he could try to close the deal. And I'm saying look at what if I had a sixty foot ranch, you know, with one story house with four leaders and a gutter of the front and back. I was trying to think of like the simplest gutter job. I can think of even then he could not or problem more accurately would not quote me. What is prices were? So that's the problem. It shouldn't be that hard to figure this out. So just be careful making sure you find a good guy. Head on over to homeadvisor dot com and read the reviews on the roofing contractors there..

My name is Eric wrong. I am with Mark Harmon. And we have two very special guests that are joining us here in the nine o'clock hour, Bryan Wallich and Sandra opera. Thank you so much for joining us. And so you guys are here to talk about a very important program that you guys launched on Tuesday. It's called I am ale less tolls about it. So I am a OS is in an effort to raise awareness about the disease loss and to set back. The reason why we got into this is about a year and a half ago is actually diagnosed us. For many people they think of disease than I am. Thanks people about fifty five in reality. It actually affects every age gender demographic out there. And so we sat back after my diagnosis and try to figure out how we could actually help this fight because it's been I think this year is actually the eightieth anniversary of the Gehrig's speech where he declared himself the luckiest man in the world, and they're still not a cure us. And so we tried to figure out how can we actually take the resources the network that we have the time that we have tab bring about a curious fast as possible on the combination of all that pining over the last year was I us so. Eric is I register in the Tribune this week. My fiancee said, you gotta you gotta see this. And then Eric, and I were doing the show tonight. And I was we should try to see if they'd be willing to come in studio. And so we're really super super grateful that you are willing to be here. And it's I know it's. Obviously extremely tender space. So I'm just curious. How are you feeling a year and a half in? I mean life expectancy is what once you were diagnosed two to five years year year and a half in you're on the radio walking around you're talking to us. So how are you feeling? So I you know, that's under jump in there. But you know, for me, I actually am one of the lucky ones, I'm progressing tippy. So they Bobby hearing my voice, there's some impact so two years ago a federal prosecutor in the courtroom giving closing arguments that would be hard today so have been changes. But overall, thankfully, you know, working out multiple times a week still working full time part of life has has been good to us. Yeah. I think that's one of the hard things about a lss. You don't know what sort of version or variety of LSU might have? So when we got diagnosed doctors couldn't say like, what is our life expectancy ten percent of individuals do live ten years or longer. So we're banking on that. But I think eventually as we understand more about LS will find out that it's a variety of diseases that is all sort of branded as one would one of the things that you're trying to do with. I m here to is to raise awareness of exactly what this disease is. Now, you mentioned the network that you guys have in part of that network. Is you guys were part of the the the engineering force? I guess behind the fundraising effort for the two thousand eight Barack Obama's run for president. So how are you using that network? In this situation. So for us a key question that we asked was what is missing in the fight against us right now because there are louder tone is says out there, they go out of attention that compete for people's priorities. And so our question was how could we must affect they explain to people that is a disease that we can actually cure if we can get more attention to it. And so what we did was kind of go back to the lessons that we learned from that experience back in two thousand eight and tried to figure out how we can build that idea of a movement that idea of community into the us by because asandra mentioned one of the hardest things about the fight is the uncertainty, and so you have to be able to embrace that uncertainty and actually turn them into a positive because for many people, they get the diagnosis and in reality. You know, fifty percent of people with Alice die within a year being diagnosed, so they don't have the space actually be a leader in the fight in the way that other disease areas. As do. So Artha was could we help find a way to actually give them that empowerment, give them capacity, and at the same time be able to go out to folks outside of Dallas for it and say, hey, look, we know there are many people out there trying to get you to pay attention to them. But if you cure this thing, if you crack this nut you actually unlock the cure to Parkinson's Alzheimer's are the other large areas that are coming that we need to find a cure for him. And for us that that's a big part of the messages arising tires raised all boats. And so we want to make sure that we can do that for the for it. And then bringing that as far as we can forward. I would think it's sorta got to be frustrating that you have to like sell this like, hey, it's not just about me. Yes, I've been diagnosed. But like, you know, it's not like you're trying to get someone to buy a car or you're talking about the most important thing and something that everyone is terrified of the that, you know, that a loved one of theirs would be or themselves would would be diagnosed with the disease. It's a it's an easy Salvador Hartselle at the same time. Right. It is. But I think the perspective that I've gained over last year and a half percent everyone in this life cares the burden with them. And so the reality is that you can't simply say my burdens more important than your burden where we have to be able to do is actually explain to people that when we come together, we can tackle these challenges. And so here's why this one can be the next one because you're right. It can fact anyone and so we're able to stop this thing we actually can change the paradigm with the future in a way. That is really impactful Todd writes thought, it was interesting that you say that when we were diagnosed like, it's it's not and Brian. I'm in here. I mean, you know, that your wife's you're supporting and and also that she's probably going to be carrying on your legs like all that's in front of you. And then it's a we thing. It's not just I mean, you both are going through this not legacy yesterday. Brian told me he's gonna MB financial Bank wants to send you and a guest to a Blackhawks game..
