"In fact, there is a lot of evidence that there has been and continues to be a sequela from the institutional designs that have existed. And so we jump forward into this. We were having a conversation and then we're yelling at each other. And then we still haven't gotten past it. And then you continue to have the incredible deaths that we've had. I could start back before Emmett Till if you wanted to start back before the lynchings, we don't have to do that. You all are all smart. You can think about it. But the relationship between the African American community and the police departments in this country have been fraught with tremendous difficulty, the George Floyd murder with Derek Chauvin is still in everybody's mind and then of course Harry Nichols was murdered the other day by 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 police officers who were acting in the wrong way with uniforms on, but they murdered him. And I had the honor of representing the president along with marisha Lance bottoms and the vice president and a Tyree Nichols funeral. Every white person in America should be able to understand that when you look in a mother's eyes where they should be white or black or Hispanic or Asian and that mother has had to watch her son get stomped to death, you have to find some level of communion in that. And when you start talking about well, the police are not the police. Well, you have to start saying, well, not in America. That shouldn't happen here. And we shouldn't be having this conversation over and over again. So the president did address this the other day. In the State of the Union speech, and the truth of the matter is I have never been more proud and more honored to serve him because he said two reasons. We obviously love and care and think a lot about men and women who put their lives on the line every day and might not come home as a mayor. I actually had to go to the funeral of the police officer who we shot in the head and sit with his wife. So that's a painful experience. But it is also true that police officers who act the wrong way who do the wrong thing who acting as police officers do should be removed because that is a crime too. And he spoke directly to that that we can have justice and we can have peace. But you can't have justice in peace if the community does not trust police officers. So he spoke to that issue. But he said something that no president's ever said, much less from the well of the people's house, is that a lot of white people don't understand that African American community members have to have something called the talk.

"This podcast, man. Honestly, it's just like, and this is why I say to solve the police in general, because if you're not here to protect this, and why are you here? Well, you know they got rid of basically their scorpion unit. They like to say they're crashing. Well, they have no choice because look what happened. Yeah. There's one guy who make a play about it 'cause they say, yo, he was edited. I gotta get some pizza. And it costs rolled up our Mark car. Where's a drastic dude? I'm just gonna get a pizza, man. It goes put on, you fucking motherfucking shoot you like you say like, yo, I am not trying to anything of the ilk, I just wanna get my pizza and go home. And they all work as kidding, where this kid was like, oh, he's not the guy when officers say he's not the guy. He was just choking. We were talking around. Nah, you were being dead ass serious. The guy and the guy made a complete to the department, nothing happened. You see? And it was like three weeks prior to what's gonna happen to tyre nickel. So these officers felt emboldened. Luis is all really, really bad. It was just a traffic stop. Honestly, a routine traffic stop. The more and more I think about that situation, the more and more I think that legend rumor might be true because it's just like him running, I would think with him running and everything that escalate, I would think that they would have shot him. I'm not saying it would have been acceptable, acceptable or protocol, but the way everything played. That's where you're wrong because I would have thought that might have been what he did. It was protocol. Yeah. Because all what he did or he commands on the south and third were actually there are actually in the book. No, the shooting part. That farm. That part, yeah, agreement part, yeah. But with the commands all that stuff, and they were on whom I'm going to turn around and put my and be underground when I'm handcuffing all that stuff. I can't move around. Are these commands? I can not pull off because I'm handcuffed. And it's not just one command he's hearing. He's saying three or four different people saying significant command. So who am I listening to? Aristocratic officer are all sorry about that. Yeah, a little tentacle difficulties we had here. So yeah, we had, we left off with the commanding officers. There was no committee officer on the scene. No, there are a couple of officers or EMTs, firefighters, supposedly. And the 5 officers got fired and now I got charged. Now additionally, a couple of EMTs and a lieutenant got fired. And now, I think the 5 guys kind of purple charges. And there's a 6th guy what has been popular to get, actually, you don't even mention the father sitting in that on TV. He was finally mentioned recently. By the father. Yeah. So what's Harry Nichols father? And finally, I'm not being brought up with 26 year old kid. 26 years old man, I mean. Who was Taysom or him? Along with the other guys beating his ass. Yep. So if those don't know, I want to break the story down of go ahead, parry Nichols. So on January 7th, Tyree Nichols was pulled over by the police. Police initially stated that the traffic stop was due to reckless driving. But later, the month is police chief said that the footage showed no evidence of a probable cause for a traffic stop. Wow. Nor no helicopter footage of that reckless driving. Man, man. Officers open tyrese driver's door. Pull them out and wrestling him to the ground as tyrese said, I didn't do anything. Several officers tried forcely to pin tie me to the ground while other shuttle threats shouted threats at Tommy telling them, okay, I'm on the ground. Put your hands behind your back before I break them. They were the same. Seconds later, officers appeared to use a stunt gun on Tyree. He breaks free and starts running in the direction of his mother's house. Which was less than 80 yards away. One of the body cam videos released shows Tyler later on the ground. Over just slapping, pushing Tyree white screams mom and punching him as well. At the struggle ensues during which Tyree is kicked at least twice in the face, beating three times a baton, sprayed them with sprayed on the face with chemicals and punch in the head 6 times. All within three minutes. Tarry is then dragged to a nearby car and propped up in the same position. At one point he sums down and the officer's popping back up. This was a public literature. If you can't tell me differently. This was nothing but an assault. A gang assault. I said what I said is a lynching. This was happening. It's a modern day lynching. What he did to this guy. And these officers were so big and bad. You should be ashamed of yourself. They were selling both by the badge. Because they're a scorpion, they're the best of the best, they're the bad boys or the police department. To just go around, beating on people, harassing them. Harassing people for no reason. No problem cause, now you're creating so much distrust within the community. It's already don't trust cops begin with and they rightfully so don't have shouldn't trust the costumes look what happened. Listen, and to every conference listen to this podcast, I'm gonna see a point blank. How do you think this is trust is when people like this are in your ranks? You don't hold accountable. You know what I mean? Because the table lied according to silence, whatever bitch, so could the culture is pretty much preventing you from doing right by the people who pay your salary. Yes, it's like this. It's like, you're gonna hear all cops are bad. And then I'm gonna say, well, but at the same time, you're not risking your livelihood either. You're not putting people. How many people accountable will make you all look bad? Now you took you took an oath, you know? And stuff like that and you're not and you're not gonna risk your livelihood because we know the perks and benefits that come with being a cop and how much and how much time you got to put into it. So I get the position that you're in, but what at the same time, if you are part of the problem, whatever outcome comes out of that, you got to own that. You got on that. If that's prison time, you know, if that's you losing your job, you gotta do your pension. So at the end of the day, it's a double edged sword. So my thing is like, you would be, it would be in your best interest to be in favor of a lot, because like I said, like I said, it's going to get to a point. Where there will be no there will be none of this anymore. It's going to be like, yo, I really have nothing to lose at this point. And then, and in some way you guys, and you know, and it's going to be dark. We'll not make it back to you. But you guys were the badge. You created the vibrant. You created this hostel. You know, you're going to create, you're right. There's going to be more anarchy. It would be more opera. And this is why more bold criminals that wanted to take that chance. I don't think I could ever get to the place of this level of forgiveness. Of people seeing of people seeing others that murdered their loved ones and be like, I forgive you. I know the idea is supposed to be for yourself, but I can't. I don't think I'm cut that way. I really don't think, I don't think me now, maybe 30 years from now, I can't, I can't fathom that book. The thing about thinking about it, that's someone's son. That's someone's cousin as someone's brother, you know? That's dad. You know, that's what I'm saying. It's just like, I can't wrap my head around one day seeing those parents be like, I forgive, I can't confuse. The fact that I refuse to give forgive you be on your head every working day of your life. You know, point Blake, I don't want to forgive you. I hate you. I despise you. I wish you would die. I would have for that person. This is one of the most disturbing things. 'cause I watched the video. I could have watched it. I'll be on John could have watched. 'cause, you know, some people would send my social media, they didn't want to see the video because it's fun disturbing and it desensitized a black bus and no. I think this is a
