"Is that number? GonNa come up or is that extra volume and go to AJ Brown. No Derrick. Henry is going to get a free touches so from a talent standpoint. I really liked Johnny Smith and I love that Delaney is out of the picture. I just don't know if he's GonNa get enough value where you can rely on them. I don't think the word reliable is the correct word to use for him because I think he's going to have huge games and I think he's GonNa have bus games. But I think that as a sleeping tar like tight end target late in the late in the draft. You could do worse. Yeah if you're taking your Titan in the Thirteenth Fourteenth Fifteenth Round. He's got potential to score a lot of touchdowns to see it with the receptions and the targets with how much teams are going to have to stack the box against Henry in the red zone. They do any play accents. John Who's going to be wide open? I them for sixty five targets four touchdown six hundred yards and at the tight end position. That gets you pretty close to the top. Twelve right there right so in total. It looks like we are Drafting Ryan. Tannehill as a high end. Qb To with potential break into QB. One we love Derrick Henry but be careful of where you're drafting him. Just due to the fact that we see some touchdown aggression coming we love. Aj Brown and we think Johnny Smith is a very serviceable option. At the tight end position. You are correct and that just about wraps up the Tennessee titans so just to recap the division here. We put our fantasy team together. Like we've done. The last couple episodes are quarterback. Watson are running backs are Derrick Henry and David Johnson or wide receivers are. Aj Brown in DJ charge. Tight End John Smith in our flex is Leonard for net. What do you guys think about this team? Not as good as the West. Yeah for sure not the best team we've put together but that's because this division kind of as a whole lot of good options to go off of yet. If you go into your fantasy season with this team you will not win your league one takeaway ahead from this division is. There's a lot of qb to solve your super flex or two quarterback league these are going to be a lot of your qb Is from this division outside of Watson because obviously he's gone early but Tannehill Menchu rivers all going to be good. Qb twos heartache here. Who is your sleeper from this division? Michael Pittman Junior. I would say Paris Campbell Harris Campbell as well. So we liked those colts wide receivers whoever emerges as I think the wide receiver to their it. Could it could literally be either one too. I really like both of them. Yeah same. I think you're splitting hairs as those guys but I think that's going to wrap up. Today's episode that's our AFC south divisional breakdown. A lot of good stuff you know not very deep division but a couple of top heavy guys and couple good couple takeaways from that. Good all right. That's GonNa wrap up today's episode here. previewed our next episode. We're going to break down the NFC south continuous news and notes. "I mean when healthy he's been a starting winning. That is not hope that's conjecture. That's just the facts when he started and he's healthy. He's he's a good quarterback. Put your feet to the fire a little bit on this trip. If you're the GM right now in Tennessee. And you know, Ryan tannehill on are where are you gonna win with Reiner? Go Marcus mariota is. You're starting right now. We'll your story he's been there. But you know, you also enough of that position. And they're in a good position because his job. Yeah. They got they got to they got two guys that can win with. And you never know the competition look competition affects people in different ways. Sometimes it's just what the doctor ordered for quarter. Both guys it's going to be like a very quiet subdued quarterback room. They're very they're going to be very polite. This is not going to be some like, crazy fiery thing. But I'm just saying that Ryan looks really good in practice. He's an excellent practice player. And eventually if mortar struggles or gets hurt this team is going to fall for Ryan tannehill just like every year Miami. I note Miami fans got tired of hearing it, but every year, you know, Adam gays. I remember him coming to me the day before that Ryan went down with that injury. And said man, I got seventeen playing like a monster coaches fall in love with him. And so will the Tennessee titans? Speaking of a monster. I Andrew luck is exactly that when he's healthy, which he was in two thousand eighteen first before we talk about that. Let's talk about the. Annapolis colts, and what they did last week in the draft Mike McGrady, but they really hit on their first four picks rock in really good cover corner than Ben bag you from TCU should help their pass rush. Harris Campbell, very underrated wide receiver Ohio State, and then Bobby Eureka linebacker Stafford he has a chance to start right away. So I thought their first four picks were all excellent. All right. Just because we done this with every team. Now, the veteran moves here. I don't necessarily love their off-season. Chris Ballard is being very conservative about his moves. And I commend him. Because he's building a really nice raw string some great turnover. Devin funchess we'll see if you can work as a number two receiver for the team. I love the Justin Houston signing. All know, though. When you see that there wasn't a whole lot done. They're a real like Houston there. Funchess will be make maybe the maker break guy for that free agency. Easy greater you give them a beep yet. You're just he's he's big on the b so the coins. Jorde a stop and start two thousand eighteen campaign in their race to get back to the playoffs. After Josh mcdaniels backed out of his commitment to coach Frank Reich stepped in their top three draft picks in two thousand eighteen provided a spark it was a good year quit Nelson. Darius Leonard vote post team old froze they quickly fell behind the fact starting just one in five, but then we are nine of the last ten they zoomed past the AFC contenders to make the playoffs. Andrew luck who won comeback player of the year. Led them across the finish line and helped Wendy win their indie, not Wendy..

"Out this off season. So the only way to improve the talent level at that area of the team on the defensive line is to be able to draft the guy like trista meal next up the Indianapolis Colts. Reggie Wayne will certainly come back out and try to irritate the local titans fans colts have got defense with their first two picks of this draft. Well, we got a lot of picks. What the fifty ninth pick of the two thousand nineteen NFL draft. The Indianapolis Colts select Paris Campbell receiver Ohio State. Juniors player profile. We look at his size look at his work ethic. Great character. Tremendous four three speed didn't always translate the field in terms of the average per catch being what you wanted to be. But if you go back to the Michigan game this year, you saw some run after catch ability your show, some loosen this in this game caught the ball away from his body. And a lot of games. I watched the one film. He was sharp and out of his cut got some separation at the end the route, which is important the NFL. I think he can all come together they can maximize all that talent and ability, and we know he has the work ethic and the desire to be great Paris Campbell the chance to be what have to player issue right now in the concern was he didn't always way to the level of that tremendous Allen. Harris campbell. So new covers to the coach this year from Michigan and one from Ohio State. I always love to point out the rivalries. Devin funchess comes in and they drafted camp. Yeah..

"Onto the gun. He's gonna look to throw a little field wide. Open in the end zone. Campbell touchdown Harris Campbell gathers it in on a twelve yard touchdown pass from Dwayne Haskins and Paris Campbell gives Ohio State on that. Catch a six nothing lead. Wayne. Pressure coming through the bucket. Fires for the end zone caught by Dixon, and he's in the furthest score Johnny Dixon caught it right at the goal line by Brandon McKinney, but Johnny Dixon halston. The second pass today Haskins Ohio State place opened up a thirteen took really pistol tight ends on the right one of them shot. Berry motioning snap Haskins tosses right corner. The end zone for a touchdown by tight end Rashaad berry. He ends up grabbing his second TD catcher the season it's Haskins third scoring toss. So the game at Ohio State has a twenty two three. That's a bit of the story with Paul Keells on the OSU IMG network. It was a pretty easy breezy first half for the buckeyes as they were up twenty one to three. In fact, they tacked on another touchdown in the third quarter. It was twenty eight to three and and and anyone have flashbacks when I tell you the score twenty eight to three. And a big football game moving into the fourth quarter. Oh, well, Ohio State ended up blowing at twenty five point lead. But hangs on to win twenty eight twenty three over the huskies. And with that urban Meyer says he is stepping away from college. Football retiring this time, the buckeyes do go out on top as Rose Bowl champs, which was special for him. He says it's the stress really that's the biggest issue for him when it comes to coaching. It's why he has to leave. He's one of those guys that takes nervous pre-game nerves and pre-game jitters to a whole new level. He's talked about how his health is. So negatively affected. He's got this and he gets really bad headaches. But it's exacerbated by how nervous he gets before games before kickoff. So he says he's stepping away that this will be his final stint in college football. His wife is indicated she can't wait for him to. Away from college football. So if this is the last we see of urban Meyer on the sidelines will then he goes out with a Rose Bowl victory. And of course, afterwards had a special, especially speech. These special words for his book is a book I nation. Are you kidding me? Now, we have a saying around here that when you the most give you very best never forget, Buckeye nature. We're we were moving swagger swaggering back and forth a little bit. The storm got heavy right. The bucket nation every turn it back on. Did you ever turn your back on each other? But when I need you to the most you gave your very best you gave it at home against that team up north the second one in Indianapolis Bickerton chance with a big rain, and then on that ring ring committee chairman they're have a beautiful rose. Roar the Rose Bowl champions, boys. Twenty-fifth football coach of the Ohio State University. And with that urban Meyer took the whistle off his neck and put it around the neck of his successor Ryan day, who has you. Remember was coaching the team for the first month of the season. When Meyer was suspended for several weeks over everything that happened with Zach Smith and Courtney Smith going back to the summertime and so urban Meyer is done with college football least as a coach he says Ryan day takes over as the new head coach for the Ohio State buckeyes and the Rose Bowl is a nice way to cap your resume to be sure a little bit later on you'll hear from Ryan day. Boy is he fiery, and so it appears as though football is in good hands. All right. You can find me on Twitter, a radio couple of other college football stories one that is truly sad as football mourns, someone that we got really familiar with over the last couple of months and another that maybe will. Clip the speculation that has been swirling around this particular college football figure we are also going to have a special question for you. I promise we'll do that before we get to the update. And then we'll head to Pittsburgh at the back half of the hour. Hope that you enjoyed your holiday whether it was a two week long break weather. You still have the rest of this week is hanging out with us. We're here working toiling away to start the new year. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. Point.

"A full head of steam might have been able to create that play catch it and maybe run for no joke, maybe thirty or forty yards. There was nothing out in front of him. The ball just sailed off target high and inside Joe Whitford upon to yards deep in his endzone K, j Hillis back at midfield. Ohio State comes after it the punt away. It's high in good kick hill signaling and the fair catch made at the Ohio State forty three yard line with one minutes ago. A forty four yard punt return buckeyes lead fourteen three and one minute is plenty of time for at least Dwayne Haskins to move the buckeyes at a field goal range down. I'm really surprised by the sequence of play calling there by Washington. They had. Had an opportunity to at least go into halftime with an eleven point deficit. They could have run it out. They could have been conservative instead on their own eight yard line. They opt to be aggressive and throw it three straight time. So I'll state not only gets the ball back at midfield. But they get the ball back with the minute. The plan to timeouts a plenty of time for Haskins and company career receivers to the right of Haskins to to the left Haskins and shotgun buckeyes moving right to left first and ten on their forty three yard line with them eleven point lead. "Do not want to get into a situation where they're running ninety plus plays and based on what's going on right now that could very well happen. They could be in the eighties because of that differential in time of possession. This'll be their thirty ninth play. First and ten from the twenty to go do the numbers. That that would get him on pace for about seventy eight. Yes. Well, eighty around it up that they have no more plays this. Yeah. Exactly. From the twenty two Dobbins the running back or you said do the math it hit the back. I know you are correct. I just rounded up five fourteen to go first half seventeen seven buckeyes Weber is the runningback. Receivers to the right. Title and the inside Nanan swing. It out Weber gets up Lockett's across the twenty five across the thirty slammed down out near the thirty five Patty Fisher. But a first down for the buckeyes all the way out to the thirty four yard line. So gain on the play at twelve yards. I down to receivers what the right quick hitter Weber and Webber's going to be trapped by Fisher and yanked down the thirty six yard line. Was in the whole, and you said not this time that was a great clinic tackle by middle. Linebacker Patty Fisher to your game second in eight buckeyes for their own thirty six Dobbins in a running back. To receiver left Dixon to the right snapped Haskins gonna throw Haskins under pressure on releases and a scuttling catch made. By the tight end, the shot berry a falls down. At about the thirty nine yard line. It's going to bring up third down four no market just shy of forty two third and four Ohio State buckeyes on third down five hundred nine at four it. This would be a big stop your four zero five to go the half seventeen seven buckeyes. Two receivers left who to the right running back as Dobbins. Baskets now since Campbell in motion across the formation and Haskins steps up now. Scrambling to the right Haskins forty forty five takes the slide at the forty seven yard line. I down we haven't seen him do that very much tonight. Let Haskins able to pick up a first on the third-down scramble up to the forty seven too. Shallow crossing routes. They're coming from both sides of his formation, and they all got jumbled up in the middle. He had nowhere to throw the ball. And then he ran it. For the first nice decision gain of seven on the plight of I doubt, a first down for the buckeyes and a timeout is taken by the Wildcats, Ohio State injured player of western. Okay. Who is that? We have a number. It is Ernest Brown the fourth. Check in his writing being attended to right around midfield. He's been very valuable performer as a soft bore seeing extensive playing time for the Wildcats this season yet, you know, Dave, and he's not the starter. He's playing down behind Joe Ghazi auto, but they like to bring him in passing downs. They move them around. Joe will move into the inside, and George Thompson, Mike come out is more of a of a a run defender, and they moved Joe millionaire. Murph Ernest Brown down he's up on his feet. That's a really good result right there. Walk in off thunders zone power. It is I doubt Ohio State at their own forty seven yard line three thirty three to go to the half. The Wildcats have all three of their timeouts remaining. Ohio State has put one seventeen seventy miles state Askins again doing a really good job of making decision. They're under pressure in the pocket. Nowhere to throw the ball with his speed and his size, usable go. Right up straight north around pick up the first down. I'd Haskins as Dobbins to his right? Verse to the nearside Campbell makes the turn forty five of the fifty and run out of bounds. Probably the Wildcats. He got the first down at the forty three run out by Patty, Fisher, the first down all the perverse Harris Campbell junior his Tampa rush of the year. Picks up a first down relative buckeyes, wildcat territory. Now, you saw him go crazy with that play last week against Michigan. Good job. They're keeping ten yards. I down at the forty three of the Wildcats three oh to go. First half Plock moving long count here by Haskins play clock down to chat. Drops into the gun. Askins gets the snap. Three step drop. Quick code orange sideline. And catch me by Dixon tumbling past. The first Barker at a thirty two into the buckeyes pick up another first down at eleven yard pickup van. So on the coverage for the Wildcats burst down. There was a lot of distance between the receiver and the defender on that wiscon- Haskins. Looks to throw wings the left side passes caught by Victor penalty marker down and Victor take it down just outside the twenty five yard line. There is a flag on the play offense fifty nine. All right. So the holding penalty against Ohio State called on the right tackle, Isaiah prince. That helps how for the Wildcats standpoint. Yeah. That that Briggs back behind the chains. It'd be I down over again. But now they'll. Like. I attack person I in twenty one at the northwestern forty two to twenty five to go in the half seventeen seven Buckeye ball in the right hash receivers left to the right and Haskins on a delayed hand off at Dobbins Dobbins breaks out of a tackle. But that he's finished off finally after giving some ground the market Jonathan thirty nine yard line. A gain of three at a run an awful long way for three yards Sambuc Miller able to corral and finally he was hit by half of the defense of northwestern. Great job of keeping his balance staying on his feet trying to make something of nothing did get a couple yards out of the great teach halfway narrow seven guys to bring him down. Three yard pickup. Secondhand and seventeen bio state at the northwestern thirty nine. Wait haskins. Looks over gets the snap to Webber being strung out. He'll lose yardage all the way back till the forty two yard line hurt. His brow. The four through a bit shaken up and walked off the field comes up with a big loss on the play for the Wildcats out northwestern there. I a thirty second timeout comes with a minute. Twenty eight to go in there half the Cavs take time big play by brow? Yeah. And also the entire left side of that defense, particularly the front seven day owned that that badger badger the buckeyes office Frank both wear RAB. Yes, they do. But what a terrific job by stuffing. They tried to set the edge offensively the offensive line in the title. They all tried to set the edge, hopefully, get outside. But no goal is a really good job there. Defensively stuff behind the chains. Yup. And a loss of three all the play. And now it is going to be. Third and twenty for the buck is at the northwestern. Forty two yard line. I'm minute twenty eight to go at the half seventeen seven Ohio State half its Gerald thinking make a stop here. Get the ball back at something on the board before halftime. But they're going to get the ball. First. Third quarter Davies putting a lot of trust on his defense right here. All the time out to get the ball back. We've seen him do that before wherever is the back to the right of Haskett taught. Third and law Pasquas looking long deep down the right sideline makes the over the shoulder. Patch at the goal line. Touchdown. Mclaren with their second touchdown tonight. Forty two yards and the buckeyes third and twenty hit pay dirt again and a extend the lead with twenty one to go the half access. Unbelievable. They put a Freeman Russia may drop date, and they just did get enough pressure on the quarterback. He stepped up the pocket, and let me tell you. He threw an absolutely beautiful ball down there. Cowdrey defender was but it was beautiful ball. You gotta give them a lot of credit. He put it on the money. Second touchdown pass tonight from Haskins to McLaren. Bill. Could the extra point kick is good? Twenty four to seven suggest when it looked like the Wildcats might get a chance here. Get the ball back. Whether they're going to get the ball back. But now they job has gotten a lot tougher for them. As the buckeyes go. Seventy eight yards in nine plays using three fifty three forty two yard pass from Haskins to McLaren and it's twenty four seven Ohio State of minute. Twenty one to go in the head coach fits the defense was looking to get a stop there that was so important for them to get a spots. Stop. If anything their third long, look like his third fifteen or something third and twenty thirty twenty and they just needed to get off the field. He just needs to get off the field there. You can't get beat deep. There. Cannot. Two-tonne outs left. Paul Bill will kick off the gallon lease or the peak, man. Twenty one to go is the kickoff is cooking towards the sideline out about for the second time tonight. And the Wildcats will get it at the thirty five with a minute twenty. Kicking Bobby as a thirty five yard line. I. Well, you got to take that the buckeyes are not gonna give a three man roster probably going to drop eight. Let's see what the cats could do here. Left thrown five. The running back. Drips left the Whiteside. I downplayed the throw it dumps it off Cam green on the right? Flack complete upended. They thirty eight yard line short gained about three yards. Second in seven coming up. Brandon white. They sure tackle out there in the flat second down and seven a minute. Three to go and a half twenty four seven. Buck is. Plate the road. Again wise up throwing down they seem incomplete intended. For Bennett sclerotic, Jeffrey, Okuda, avid coverage that has looked to be off the Mark and brings up third down at seven here. Your Wildcats with fifty five seconds to go to half hats on third down tonight to percents. She looks like he was batch shoulder throw. There was not just the same. Route mystery indication on that one third outfit. Wildcat seven yards to go. Snap took Boris gets a block looks to the nearside live over the head of the attended receiver Riley lease just across the forty five yard line. And it is four down with the Catholic to give the buckeyes the ball. And not only what thirty seconds off the clock. Fifty one seconds to go. Three straight throws four yards. To a three and out. Jay Collins will pay Jay hill back deep at the fifteen yard line. Bill boom won her Collins, Google fifty six yard last time. Let's see what he does here. They could use that right now. Here's Russia's on. Just got it away. Low tipped penalty markers. Dow and hill makes the fair catch the fifteen yard line. Ficials time out. Injured defensive player. There was not a penalty. There is a Buckeye player. Shaken up. That is Campbell whose down. He's one of several very valuable offensive players on their SoHo state team. So forty-three seconds to go Ohio State after another good pot for pollens forty seven yard or go to hang time hamels up and running off across the field. Who's okay? Go three now buckeyes habit. Kicker Paul Fabio. We already saw him. Put a forty two yarder is log is forty seven. Fifty one or forty three seconds to go. Excuse me. How state of their own fifteen..

"Called. The Gary radnich show with Larry Krueger. Six. Ohio State sixteen point lead start at the twenty two yard lives yet sweep Campbell out to the far right side. Thirty forty fifty. Fans touchdown Harris Campbell seventy eight yard scoring. Forget sixteen point lead. Forty seven twenty five Ohio State. Yeah. Let's bring in Todd Blackledge for two minutes talk. Some college football Todd was an all America at Penn State had a nice NFL career as well. Now concentrating on the college game, I've been asking anybody we can get a hold of this morning tied. What is the deal with Harbaugh where you're an acknowledged good coach? But then you have a streak of not winning big games. Like, he has what what can you point a finger a finger on in regards lack is success. I don't think there's anything you can specifically point a finger at I mean, they they got thoroughly outplayed in that game Saturday. And I I was surprised as anybody. I was not surprised that Ohio State was good enough to win the game. But how easily they were able to do it? And how how they were able to protect their quarterback so cleanly against a defense that is built around being able to pressure the quarterback. So I, you know, the results were surprising and how dominant Ohio State was. But as far as Jim I know he's a good football coach. And you know, I thought this would be the year that he would kind of put that duress. You know, they beat Michigan state. So he got that monkey off his back. I thought they would win this game. But they were clearly not the better team on the field that day. And so people will continue to try point some things out like that. I believe that a guy can be good during the regular season. And then a point blank, you believe that a guy like car can be outcoached again, I say outcoached in big games. I don't think I don't think that's what the case wasn't necessarily. I think that they're playing defensively and dawn Brown, you know, before that game. Everybody thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. And he's still a great defensive coordinator. The problem was their whole defensive plan is predicated on being able to pressure the quarterback, and they weren't able to do that. And and that's a credit Ohio State and their offensive line and their protection schemes and Wayne Haskins getting rid of the football league. I thought Michigan did a lot of good things. You know? I don't think that you know, they ran the ball one hundred and seventy one yards Patterson was pretty efficient, but defensively which is kind of been there foundation. They just were not able to pressure the quarterback, and they paid the price for it. I don't think it was you know, I don't I wouldn't put that on Jim Harbaugh. These are very evenly matched team. So the beginning of the year a lot of people thought the buckeyes were the superior team, Ohio State, really, despite the fact, they're they've won a bunch of games. Eleven in one. Now, they they haven't been great this year. They've been up and down. And they've been there's times where they their defense hasn't looked all that great. But man Haskins is coming on Paris. Campbell's really special that kid J Dobbins is nice, and they got all kinds of athletes on defense. I'm just kinda wondering if you think that on a one loss Ohio State team could sneak into the playoff if it came down to a one loss Ohio State team going up against Oklahoma for that final spot. It'll be interesting to see. Here's the thing about Ohio State. I think you being kind and saying that they've been great. Yes. Total eleven wins and one loss but last week or Saturday was the first time all year. That Ohio State looked like people expected Ohio State to look this season as a playoff contender the week before they were lucky to beat Maryland in Maryland went up and down the field on their on their defense. Attic twenty nine point loss to produce a six and sixteen so, you know throughout the year they have had their struggles. They've not looked like a great football team until Saturday. Now, if they put another impressive dominant performance together like that in the big ten championship game against a scrappy, but not nearly as talented northwestern team. Who knows you know in two thousand fourteen year, Ohio State won the national championship? It was very similar. They were off the radar. They had lost Virginia Tech early. And then they just kept climbing in the last two weeks. They made a huge surge. They beat Wisconsin fifty nine nothing in the big ten championship game. And that catapulted them in. That number four spot, and they only won the whole thing. Now, you know, I've got Oklahoma Oklahoma last week against West Virginia. I begin this week against Texas. You know from a matchup standpoint, Oklahoma has a sexier matchup against Texas. Who's a ranked team who beat them their only loss was to taxes the three point loss. And so, you know, they're both on big stages this week, and it'll be very interesting to see how the committee evaluates those two assuming they both win that game are spending a few minutes here with Todd Blackledge all America quarterback at Penn State. And as we said at a nice nice run in the NFL you like a quote final four in college football, or I was listening to Mack Brown the old Texas coach. And again, you're on TV gotta say some is going to be eight. How do you read it? I like the four I, you know, I I won't be surprised if down the road. I don't think he's gonna be any soon. Soon. But I won't be surprised if it expands at some point. But I like the four I think the four has been really good. I think they've gotten it white in the in the first several years of of the playoff committee so far. And so the thing I like about the four it maintained for the most part the integrity of the bowl games bowl system. The regular season the drama of these games down the stretch and November are kinda like playoff game. So you know that part of it. I think has been great. And you know, it's it's sometimes obviously, you have five major conferences, and there's four spot until he conference champion of a major power conference is gonna get left out. And in some cases, more than one gets left out. So that's not ideal. But I do think the four as work. Well, you know, there's some great college football quarterbacks here. And it's two different categories says the guys who are college guys who are excelling at this level won't at the next level. Then there's guys who are. Pro prospects. But I mean, whether you're you know, it's to a tag of an Alabama who's obviously the Heisman favorite Cuyler Murray. Who's on his heels? You know, I mean out here you the Minhsiu and Browning up in Washington. Have it will Greer the West Virginia quarterback threw for five thirty nine this weekend and four touchdowns? Nick Fitzgerald's, a great story. Is there a quarterback out there that you would Herbert obviously is the highest rated guy for the draft. But is there a quarterback out there that you say, you know, what I really love this kid? I really believe in him at the next level. Yeah. It's different than it was last year. You know last year you had four guys that were taken in the first ten picks. There's more depth in terms of really good taller quarterbacks across the country this year than the war last year. But there's not that guy. I herbert. I think is the guy that I've seen personally and seen on tape that I think for sure projects the most at that level. But there's been some outstanding quarterback play. No, I think to a will be when you don't want. He wants to time for him to move on. I think he's got that skill set. I think Dwayne Haskins has that skill set to to to be a really good Sunday player. You know Cuyler Murray you mentioned him, you know, he's listed at five ten he's probably really five eight and a half five nine. But he's a unique unique talent he his game is comparable to Russell Wilson. But of course, he's going to go play baseball. He's he's gonna be. Centerfielder in the major leagues one day will Greer I think can play on Sundays. I think he's an NFL guy. But again, I don't think you're talking about any type of guys that are that are looked at as, you know, going unnoticed top ten picks. A couple more minutes with Todd Blackledge who led Penn State to a national championship and then played professionally with the chiefs in the Steelers you mentioned the chiefs Mahomes. Yeah, it's way too early to say all time. Great. But just his skill set. Throwing the football you seen anybody like him before or about this to be fair. Maybe since Marino. He's dynamic is fun to watch. He's dynamic. He's very smart. And it's been a perfect marriage with him and Andy Reid, you know. And I think sometimes that that can't be overstated or over emphasize enough. You know, it's the right fit with a coach the head coach at play caller with a quarterback with that kind of skill set in and the results have been incredibly dynamic. So, you know, in the same thing, you could say the same thing with with Jared Goff, and Sean McVay in LA. And of course, drew Brees. You know, what he's doing those three guys and those three offenses in those three play callers are kind of operating at a notch above everybody else right now in the NFL we're talking to Todd Blackledge who's kind of give us some of his time this morning. You know, this is obviously a very much a pro market. Obviously, we have Stanford and Cal and San Jose State and heck the national championship final will be here. But it's very much a pro market, not Niner fans listening a raider fans. I'm just kinda wondering forty Niners right now. I believe have the first pick in the upcoming draft. Is there? I mean, this is supposed to be a phenomenal draft for big time. You know defensive players for Sean Gerry declared for the draft today. There's just a bunch of greedy Williams, the corner from LSU is a tremendous player Quinton Williams, Nick Bosa Devon white et Al over. Is there a front seven guy that you've seen this year that you think wow? This guy's going to wreak havoc at the next level. Well, I think at Oliver has been that kind of guy he got hurt and has not played as much down the scratch and Nick Bosa was that guy before he got hurt. He was he was dominant. I mean, he was at times completely unblock a bone. I think you could say the same thing with at Oliver. I think of the guys you mentioned in that position and the punt seven those two guys stand out among the rest now Clinton Williams is not a guy that hits all the measurable. But he is an extremely productive football player and Alabama has had a history of their defensive lineman playing well at the next level, they're prepared. Well, they're taught well, they're very technique oriented, and you know, they've got a lot of success. And he's he's the next real good one at Alabama. How you might me. You still have your restaurant. No, I don't do that anymore. I I did that for seven years the tasted the town thing. But no, we don't do it anymore. We still find those places. We just don't we just don't put it on TV anymore. Yeah. No, that's that's a tough racket to go into outside. I was gonna say for a such a smart guy. I was going to teach you a little bit about the restaurant. Yeah. No, not for me. You know? It's funny. We'll let you go. But I just saw the headline this morning Carolina fired Larry fedora this weekend. Despite the fact he was over five hundred there in seven seasons. But they'll usually the name the lead name for the job. There is Matt Brown. They're saying Mack Brown at sixty seven who was a former coach of the tar heels had great success there. They're saying at sixty seven he's going to he's going to step back onto the field potentially. And he's the favourite to land the Carolina job that surprise you at all. A little bit. I really liked MAC a lot. He's a wonderful, man. And wasn't great coach. And it's been really good and TV, you know, if he's got the itch, and it's and the passion is there and the energy is there. I think he'll do a fine job. You know, he's. I think his last few years at Texas. Did maybe go the way he wanted it to go. And I'm sure he's gotten rejuvenated being in TV for a couple of years. So if he's still got the fire in the passion, he he certainly has got enough connections. And and as well liked and well respected enough to hire a great staff, and and he was successful there before. And I think he would he would easily be successful there again and not being funny. But that make up jobs. Just can't can't keep you going. You have to get back on the field. I don't know. I mean, obviously, you know, it Gruden did it and other guys have done it. I think you know, my dad was a coach for forty years. And and once it kind of gets in your blood, it it there's really nothing that can replace it. I mean, you can have success in TV and and it's a much easier lifestyle when.

"They had a kid named Alan Bowman who was one of the two or three top freshman quarterbacks. True freshman quarterbacks in the country and then Bowman has the collapsed lung injury, and they just kinda fall apart from there never really found their footing regain their footing. Authencity the defense. You know, just kinda wilted a little bit at times against you know, big twelve offenses, which is you know, that's just what happens in the big twelve. And and so they they really faded down the stretch. I think cliff is is a terrific coach terrific offense of mine. But you know, if you're five hundred year after year after year, you know, I think they were gonna have a hard time galvanized into fan base after the way the season ended. So I understand like Texas Tech felt like they had to make a move. But. I do think like we said earlier that Kingsbury still has an incredibly bright future. And it would not stunned me if within five years he's head coach somewhere again. Does she one of my fair not one of my lasting images of cliff kings? Various having a Heisman Trophy winner on his roster and not allowing him to stay at the quarterback position. In terms in any act. The homes, and then he had my hand films. Yes. Yes. So it's not like I mean Mayfield leaves Mahomes steps in in two thousand fourteen and and they want a bunch of games. But you see kind of the limit their Texas Tech. I mean, there's even in you window and talk about Mike Leach being interested. Dana Hoeger Sohn being interested in that Texas Tech job. So by the way, Mike leads told us told Joel Anderson last night, he's not he's not interested in the job. And I I talked to somebody pretty pretty close today. And it said, it would doubt that seems crazy that he would leave West Virginia for Texas Tech. So. Happen. But, you know, this is always the carousel is always crazy. But I just one of those are hoping for Tennessee type dumpster fire coaching search. I want us. What do you do that to chaos like I liked it? Ohio State Michigan. Because now we have a little chaos, and I'm sure we're going to get into that. But I I want I want people marching through the streets. I want there to be looking at flight aware trackers. I mean, this is it's college football coaching season by second favourite season than all of sports. It's great at USC will not be a part of that. Again. They extended him recently Lynn Swann did. And then decided to keep him here after a bad season. I actually think with Klay Hilton. It's probably the right thing to do in terms of keeping him the fan base doesn't like it. But with no president hefty buyout and two successful seasons. At least in terms of hardware. The last two years. It's probably the right thing to do. And for a good, man. I'm just not sure if he'll be able to turn this the negative momentum around with the program. So next season. He's obviously going in there with some flames under the key stir there in terms of the wattage of the seat. All right. Let's get it too. By the way, the flames. I want to start by minor league baseball team name of we're gonna cheat. He could keep her flames. We're changing it from who's on the hot seat who's got the Kista flames. And I think that's the way to do it so pay attention. Keep your eye out for the carousel. Coaching care so podcast coming your way on Wednesday. With a lot of will connected folks there on that pod. Hope you listen to Wednesday's podcast last week Brad, Adam and myself, we talked about how why everything was pointing to Michigan beating Ohio State, and that that was the reason why something bizarre was going to happen. And I think it did sixteen point lead start at the twenty two yard live jet. Sweep Campbell out to the far Whiteside. Thirty forty. Sideline. Shifty forty forty touchdown Harris Campbell on a seventy eight yard score. The laughter in the background. Yeah. No doubt. It was a comedy at one point is they just blew them out sixty two to thirty nine. Thanks to marquess. Sure. And ESPN radio. It's funny..

"In a nice play on first down gaining nine yards off. You're going to have run man coverage. You get a quick pass to the running back out in the swing area. Dobbins is able to just outrun the defender. Andrew doubt outside linebacker give the Dobbins off the left side of the line. He'll have the first down across the twenty to the twenty one. Pretty close in fact, and now the official says indeed that is a first down for the buckeyes their first of the game on a lot more spread for this old. They'd offense or offensive line. Not putting that hand down on the ground. They're just sitting up in a passing blocking formations. That's why I don't think run block. He's been particularly good this year. Even the first down up to the twenty one yard line. No score Ohio State. And Michigan state may have been some movement Haskins. Knack to throw fires. Was nearly intercepted by lane who is a couple of steps behind the receiver Dixon. Johnny Dixon had stumbled out of his break. He was running an en route. And he was open. He beat the defender, but he stumbled out of his break and the ball got past him adjusting lane the corner had a chance might be worth watching that today. The Spartans do have twelve picks on the year nine different defensive backs of pick one off a knocked down their second and ten Haskins kissed a Dobbins right into the mind and nothing whatsoever. Andrew Dow the linebacker the first man there for the Sparty defense with who else. Kenny willingness. A gain of one. Now, save blocking isn't very good. But there's two defenders there and the runningback don't defenders at no blocker that to me that scheme or that plays. I think you're right to none doesn't work. Well, third and nine from the twenty two. Haskins again as to go up near as Lyman. Call out apply. Harris Campbell in the slot to the right soft shotgun snap Haskins firing down the sideline and he led this receiver Victor too far out of bounds. And it's incomplete why he had Benjamin Victor down the right sideline and a will route absolutely wide open. But there was pressure was a blitz by the Michigan state defense Haskins was rushed into getting rid of this ball will kiss was in his face. Boy had he had just a split. Second war. Victor would have been able to make a big play with an accurate throw. Let's see if drew Kristen can better as previous punt five yards from his ten yard line. He's gonna kick a low line drive in the direction of sowards who backs up near the thirty calls a fair catch and makes it cleanly. We're.

"Bs g nobody makes golf clubs away. We do period. Of those seven of seven drives from Bentley this whole season. But. He's been a little banged up and hasn't performed that. Well, we'll have them the final regular season game in Clemson. Hi stated call a timeout before their second play from scrimmage should. You mentioned going Haskins open. It's amazing when you think today with two hundred seventy Gingras passing which would be an off day for him. He'd set the single season Ohio State passing record. He needs three touchdowns to tie J T Barrett for the most touchdown passes in a year in Ohio State unbelievable year. But I would say this is the least amount of rushing yards for urban Meyer team through eight games partly because the quarterback play apartment because their offense has been opened up both Haskins back to pass a sweeping. Nightside that play blown-up immediately across the twenty yard line. And he's going to go down Justin lane from his corner. Spot eight heist open-field tackle the Cleveland. Ohio native Justin lane came up and read the play beautifully. It was a well well-designed draw past good catch by Weber out of the backfield. But Justin lane just blew up there down the line of scrimmage. He lost to. So it's third and thirteen guys on their own twenty one. I drive of the football game here at Michigan state proud and full throat Haskins up near the line. Changing the play receivers east side of the football field Harris Campbell now in the slot Haskins. Back time to throw fires one to candle. You're the twenty nine pushes across the thirty yard line is going to be well shy of the first down. Again, we saw this a lot in the Michigan state Michigan game. Where players are not running. You need to get the first down with you yardage up your route when you turn around make the catch you have to be beyond the sticks. And maybe the plays and drawn up to that specification, but that's up to the quarterback in the wide receiver you tell your offense like give me some extra time till wider zero. Make sure he goes down gets enough yards for the catch. But it absolutely kills me. When everybody executes in you executed to not pick up. I doubt it doesn't make any sense Christmas. One about twenty into the crowd off the foot to the right by goodness. What an ugly looking punt that could be in the knots. That's definitely in the not so sportscenter top ten. That's the worst part. I've seen ever five yard kick. And it went twenty yards up into the stands timeout nine forty two to go first quarter. We'll all recalibrate. No score that one probably hurt. You're listening to the college football game of the week on the touchdown radio network..

"Politics. She was she's up. She's running for Senate, and she's up against a very pathetic in my opinion, Republican candidate who had a chance to just scalper yesterday. And he didn't do it. I mean, he had a chance to count coup with this woman. And he didn't do it. It's a great great slogan. I remember the best the best college course, I took. At the university of Missouri. It was my most memorable. College course, it was this guy named John g nine heart. Okay. And John Hart was the foremost Indian expert on the planet American Indian native American, and that's where I learned the phrase counting coup. So what the what the Indians would do is when they would you know, when they would they would defeat an enemy. They would cut off their scalps, and they would collect them that was counting coup. So the sculpture the scouts were called coup coup. Okay. Have you ever heard that before Cianci Nihar? This was this should have been the most boring class ever. Because. It was he'd been dead for Idaho fifty year. I don't know how long you've been dead. He anybody taught the course. So somebody filmed him teaching these courses literally it was like sixteen millimeter film, and then they put it on video. And so we would just sit there and watch the videos, and he was captivated he was like, you're you're in this auditorium with one hundred fifty people or something like that. You're all watching this video. And you think ok snooze esta time here we go. Sleep it off from the night before. No, these things were you. He had you in the palm of his hand because he knew sitting bull. And he knew you know, all these various Indians personally, he knew them personally, he knew people who were at. At this battle in that battle, and he knew guys who fought customer in the last stand. It was incredible is so cool. See how you would get that would be captivating. Oh, yeah. So you know, what would he say about Elizabeth Warren? Oh, he'd be laughing fake. Oh. But she's up against this candidate who's just so weak. And maybe it's maybe it's part of the metoo movement where you just can't criticize a woman too harshly because the blowback could be so fierce. Maybe I believe that completely if that's it. Then I'll tell you something they better run. What's the lady's name here Harris Campbell against Trump? Because now, it's a woman and a minority. So he's got to be super super careful. Super careful. But then again, it's Trump. But you know, it's so the deal was you'll hear the audio on this coming up, but Elizabeth Warren, it's all true. And we saw this right during the cavenaugh campaign. How many fundraising letters were said out by the Democrats during the cavenaugh hearings? I should say they were it was one fundraising appeal after another to try use this as a way to make money, but Lisbeth Warren did this as well. It was in complete violation of the senate's own rules. The Senate the Senate has rules prohibiting anything that repairs to. That would appear to use particular issue that has not been settled as a as an opportunity to raise funds. So in my opinion, she was guilty of that. But at her opponent brought it up in a debate last night. And she completely blew past it. I mean, she did not want to answer the question. She went on very delicately and politically to talk about something else. And then one of the commentators said, no, no, no, no. We need to drill down on this. I want to know about what he's talking about. Why didn't you do anything and she deer in the headlights? I mean, she looked so. You know, usually we see her and she's just all riled up talking. She looks so confused deer in the headlights stopped in your tracks. And then when her political opponent this Republican running his name's Geoff Diehl when he had an opportunity to pounce. He didn't. He just he just. He was like it was so weak. What did he agrees or he didn't take advantage of the situation and take advantage of the situation? I don't know if he's afraid of looking like he was going to be too harsh at a woman who is down on her luck at that moment of time. I don't know what the deal was. But it was fifth attic down on. She doesn't have any Indian blood. We got the audio. Then this audio savage played it throughout the course of this program. I don't know maybe ten times yesterday. But we we need to play it. It's done lemon. This guy. Trump refers to them as low IQ, Don. Don, lemon on CNN calling white men. Our country's biggest terror threat. Really serious how in the world. Can he get away with that without being fired? I'm serious. It would he should be on a no buy list like that. Unbelievable can say anything he's black and he's gay. Maybe that's it Sherry his. That's that's it. He's husband is white seriously. Yes. But see there you go swear. Hold it. Hold it. But that's that proves Sheri's point. He's gay. He's white and he's gay. That's different. That's a whole. That's like a whole different gender. That's a different race a different race. Completely different crazy world we live in. Glad you're with us. We'll get through it together. I mean, how do they expect us just sit here and say, yeah, it's oh, yeah. That could totally happen. So problem cry wolf. You're exactly right. She hasn't been included at this point. You're exactly right. Chuck Cory booker's, probably THEO that he he's on the second round. We're thinking about all the hits that obnoxious think about all the hits. Elizabeth Warren is taking right now, she doesn't have any Indian blood and she didn't get a bomb. Oh, that's terrible. No, I'm hanging up on my good. That's a great point Cadillac. Harris will be if there's if Eddie, okay, let's put our let's put our bets in who's going to be next if anybody's going to get another. Package who's going to be it's gotta be camel Harris because seriously. I mean, you know, they wanted to run for president. But what about Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi Feinstein got something in the mail, but they're not including her amongst this bunch. It was kind of a dad it wasn't through. No. House winner. Right. Now, I'm looking at this deal, New York, New York's PD suspicious package of New York City addressed to former deny James Clapper. Okay. Here's another usual suspect. So. I'm just looking at the streets of New York City or field bomb squad dogs cops. And nobody's doing anything. I mean, folks Cal trans workers. Look more busy than these guys. "Being attended to by the trainers out on the field. Thomas did get hurt his freshman year and sat out basically the whole year. Because obviously this is his first year back and actually playing he's done a nice job. And it was up. He knows what he's doing. He's where he's supposed to be plays hard. Off the field under result power. And I mean, he is over a trader over there. But he looks like he's all right. Well, he's being followed by four three doctors. So we should be. Pretty good hands. So at any rate Allen to the sideline hit. Coach's kid get hurt. He gets three doctors on it. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Everybody gets the same treatment over there. There's no doubt about that. Just kidding. I'm just kidding the Bahamas resting data for twenty nine yard line. It's first and ten and that's one play resumes for Ohio State buck- on this drive. They have they been off some big chunks of yada. Yeah. Nothing's been. I think it is. They ever run the quarterback. So that'd be pretty successful stole the football. And they get there. They get the numbers right in Dobbins, rip some. Just a dynamic offense with playmakers everywhere, and that's the differences. Okay. You get a play there dynamic guys round, the place and big chunks is right. Six six thirteen ten and seventeen on the last four. So very quickly there at Indiana territory and Indiana seventeen to fourteen lay we have fifty two seconds remaining here in the first half as Indiana has given the buckeyes battle here in this first two quarters of play, but Indiana's gotta maintain what they have been able to do offense. And the defense has got to get a little stiffer. Well, they do the good news on this side of it is offense doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. Either. So all in a game where the anticipate maybe allows store points Indiana's going to score their own set of points, Sarah, which is really good news back. The other thing about the offense today, and we mentioned this during the break. The offense line is doing your heck. Yeah. That's the best performance by far against a really good defense in line. And some impresses by their linebackers to just Stevie Scottsdale. Nut butter surpassed prediction to give it a quarterback a chance to get the ball downfield chance for the receivers to make plays. So this offense is dialed up and and and and really on the right page. The defense of style up here. They need to get another turnover or at least get here. Basically, the only way they stopped him as takeaways, right? They've got two of those today. Interception. Now, it is I ten at the twenty nine of you at Haskins in the backfield has. Whoever back there with him. Oh, boy, they just waited long enough to ball shoulders going to blitz coverage. So look out for shot berry also back there. Now, he steps up to the left. Here is the hand off the ghost of Weber got low. She breaks the tackle these data the fifteen ten and finally brought down inside the ten yard lied. James had junior was there with a ball to find me make me stop the play. But not before they are knocking at the door Marcellina balls Blitzer from the sideline. I don't know if they change the play, but they ran away from that blitz about a huge and again styles. Tailbacks are dynamically. Here's the snap. Here's the gift Weber tries the right side, spins his way to the five yard line. He'll pick up. A couple of flag comes down lake Marcelino ball makes the stop on the play could be holding that could be back there by the backside guy. Haskins comes over. During the holding office number seventy eight. Dimitrius Knox is the man guilty of the penalty. He is the right guard for Ohio State. I don't know if that's good news. Just more gives me gives them more space than it gives another down and distance another first down call here. Sometimes honestly, sometimes it's almost it's impossible to not take a ten yard penalty. But sometimes it's in your best interest. Not to take it down. First and goal at the eighteen now salvage turns out fast ins Dobbins to his right? Emotion. Berry to the lower tiers the stamp act the Haskins he looks he looks. He has lots of time. He finds his receiver Paris Campbell. Enter the answer. Ray Jones had the coverage on but he wanted to Harris Campbell. Well, there's a good example of it. They just got more room in Iran across route and their speed got him in the end zone. But again, we talked about it. Can't take you cannot take ten yards. I don't think but against this offense. You might wanna think about it next time. Endzone? I'm telling you that's true for thirty nine left here in the first half of play an Indiana gives the lead back to Ohio State. Nuernberger on who attempt. The extra point kick up here though. Here's the kick and kick is good. So the buckeyes regained the lead there back on top by four twenty one to seventeen with four thirty nine to go here in the first half of this football games. Are you ready to get to work Ivy? Yeah. More than I anticipated. And again, they just opened up their game and playbook. And really throwing the ball football fix. Wipe is players is really magnificent Ohio State is everything that they have been tolerated on offense. They are they are spectacular office. But Indiana right now is in a shootout they've got four minutes and thirty nine seconds and do something what the heck six plays seventy five yards. Two minutes and twenty five seconds taken off the clock. But the buckeyes scored quickly regained the lead Paris Campbell's eighteen yard pass from Dwight Haskins is what has given the buckeyes the advantage. Now this football game. Here comes the kickoff by Blake hall Bill and the high end over end boot goes over Mike jets had out of bounds and it'll come out to the twenty five of their touchdown. Why don't we waste our time? Even talking about the kickoff. Honestly that thing Eric and then everybody fair catches it and. It's a dinosaur. I prayed last two possessions Indiana's had eleven plays eleven passes. Yeah. Not a single run. Oh, I'm telling you. I'm telling you in the shea talked about bringing your house quarterbacks back into the home in the state, let it rip. Put him up. Let him rip paid Ramsey in an empty backfield. Three receivers nearside to to the far. Ramsey. Takes the snap. Throws it quickly the ball caught out here. Nice grant by retailer. He turns around the ball went to the grand. I think he was down yesterday officials signals. He was down with the volcano. Was down to the bone. It'll be second data and one the ball or the pickup a nine yard gain of the play for Indiana and the ball resting of the thirty four yard line. Nice little move off their cats one of the outside got some extra yards. CB Scott back in the game. Now, we're going to look at it. Now, they are going to look. The ruling on a film. Now the ball coming loose from the front of the review. This should not be very long. Well, they turned it around the other time. Well, this is look at that. Ball brock? Oh, I don't want. His he's down. I don't know. It might be incomplete. Who knows? I don't know what they're going to do here. Yeah. Well, we'll see your job. Well, I was I didn't even have a clue the last time. So well. Again. Well, then nobody is we're going to sit up very. You know, we're gonna do gonna wait for the official that isn't that dynamic unique unique rush. Yeah. What is your your? Best in the country, Idaho by your peers, which you don't have any peers voted one. Yeah. I don't have any peers because there's nobody that bad. Dealers behind you manufacturer of Indiana working together working for you and tried to support athletics hall fames are you in twenty eight hundred four hundred and go there, please don't go there. Well, I'm paying you back. For. I'll tell you later. Maybe I won't tell you later. Taking a long time here buck. Well, they are. And there's a lot of people in this stadium waiting for the outcome. I usually say there's plenty of good seats available. Not not so much here in that corner up there. There's some over in that corner. Six over there. If you want to come. They see one hundred and five thousand in the stadium, generally, they can actually pack one hundred ten thousand they say while they're looking now they're looking at the clock. See what it is. So. The ball was coming down. Twenty five seconds. So they call that a fumble. That's exactly what you didn't want right there. That is a while while while you got to recruit your past. You're you're thinking you got something going on offense. Jordan Palmer was credited with the recovery. For state the ball is resting at the thirty two yard.
