"You're reminding me of some of the great speakers i've seen. I wanted to an extra with kana. Miami and saw sara blakely the founder banks and i'm thinking muni Mosey moseley timberlands ex wife and also venture capitalists. Some of these really strong empowered women. And i'm like. I'm getting that same exact energy from you and so whatever i can do to help you position yourself where you can get some gigs. Let me know. Because i'm going to be reaching out to you to proofread my book that i'm writing. It's not going to be a two hundred page book. it's going to be like a a thirty page manifesto and work. But i would definitely love to. Have you proofread that. In the future when i'm ready to launch that towards the end of two thousand twenty one thousand twenty two and i'm just excited to see what you do next to everything you were just saying. Have anyone final words advice on something. That's on your heart. Dear dislike wanting to get out. Get off your chest. I don't know. I guess the one thing that that just keeps coming up in has been coming up a lot in my circle lately. Is that oscar wilde quote. Be yourself everyone else has already taken. You have to be authentic. you have to be you. Don't try to mimic other people like even if you decide that you want to start a podcast or a blog or a business or whatever make it you because everyone can tell when you're faking it everyone can tell when you were trying to copy someone else so just whatever it is you're deciding to do be authentic and remember that it's not about you when it comes to business it is about your audience your customer what they need because if you are serving someone else you won't go hungry absolutely love that and guys you've just got done listening to honestly one of my favorite episodes and i continuously say every episode because my guest getting better and better ashley in the future i'm going to invite you back episodes you like apart because that's how good this conversation wasn't another you have a ton of other things to talk about but i also want to be respectful of time today so guys make sure you go follow ashley and be on the lookout for new episodes coming every single monday and then interviews with awesome people like ashley every single friday much while recording while recording according to go ahead and put it out there will you be on my podcast considerate done sitter it's done and any other articles to hey shameless plug i gotta say any other articles that you're working on let me know because i'd be more than willing to promote it and share some insight so i said i got your pitch right here for the next one i'm working on so we'll talk about that there we go guys make sure to follow her her and i are going to continue our conversation off air and..

"Guess the best way to say it is a little bit more of the same. I want to do more stuff under my own name. That is true. But just more of the same i more connection more talking to people more getting getting their their stories out there that that's what i thrive on. I love it. And i i want to do more podcasting i wanna do. I'm really trying to get the courage to do youtube. That's one thing that i really want to do. But bay so that's really it 'cause i if anyone were to say you know what what's your dream job. I'm doing it and yeah there is. There are times that. I'm not as excited about ghost writing. But like i said in those moments where i really need to pay the bills and so grateful for edge and the other good thing about the ghost writing is it gave me a way to learn more about how to properly craft blog posts and to get more comfortable with changing my voice and changing I guess the structure of the article. I am now a lot more well versed in how to take someone from the beginning to the middle to the end Like including your calls to action including your this is. I'm an expert that kind of stuff. So i'm so grateful for all the ghosts writing that i have been doing and that i will continue to do because i'm going to keep doing it until i don't need to if that makes sense But the reality is i just. I'm so damn grateful. That ghost rider fell into my lap. Because it it saved my life in a way. Because i was headed towards eviction. I was headed towards you. Not being able to pay my bills because you know when whenever the economy tanks very first people to go in any in any business are the independent contractors the temp workers and the freelancers. Because anybody who has a fulltime salary. They're going to be given all the extra work because they can't afford to keep paying these extra people and so that's exactly what happened in that moment when i needed the ghost writing in the first place i had a lot of my work. Dry up i you know metrics closed in a couple of the magazines. I was writing for in tampa bay closed. Websites were getting sold to. Other people like one of the websites i was working for. They sold to another company and suddenly all. The work was drying up where i could use my name and tell people i wrote it and it just so happened in january twenty fourteen. I get a call from someone who met me while i was doing writing under my name at a channel ten event not cheltenham metrics event. And she is like. Hey i have a blog for for my business. And i don't have time to write it. Can you write it hell. Yes i can and so that. That's kinda what started the whole ghost writing thing. She referred me to other people. And then i met someone who was working for her. Who was working for a marketing agency and they needed ghostwriters and next thing. I knew i had more work than i knew what to do with and i was so grateful to keep working towards making my own name thing but at least in the meantime like i said i wasn't getting the credit but i was getting the cash right and sometimes you have to make the sacrifices and business to get to that point. Actually i see something over the next ten years where you're going to be traveling and speaking on stages and things of that nature because it would be almost a sin against humanity for you not to speak because of how well you're speaking..

"Who do i need to ask other podcasters. And that's that article. That particular article actually came about. And now i'm taking that article that i wrote and i'm working on another one right now. Honestly impact i saw your pitch for it But but it's not done yet but Since i'm trying to do more podcast articles. I'm using what i've done to then go and find more people right for. Does that make sense. No it does one hundred percent and you're dropping so much value in kind of like the stuff that people are afraid of talking about because they're afraid to creating competition there is no such thing as competition because this is the only thing and i'm going to be brutally honest with my audience right now. If you're listening to this chances are nine hundred. Seventy you are not going to apply a single thing that actually says and you'll have one person on the tin who will actually go apply it and i'm going to encourage you that if you're thinking that you're probably going to be in that nine hundred ten go ahead and take a step back and actually take re listen to this and appliance because i have no issue talking about clients and giving them the deep secrets. Because i know that unfortunately no matter what amount of money they pay me. They still will not do everything that i signed to them. And that's not my fault. That's the person on the other side. Why do you think people go to these events and conventions and spent on travel to feel motivated and they come home and nothing changes in their life. Make sure you're not letting the emotions drive your actions and start letting the logic and the understanding that the only way you get results is through application. Drive your knowledge. Ashley a large part of personal branding is not only talking and sharing the aspects of your professional career in your expertise and why you'd wanna work with you but also about what makes you unique. What makes you you. And that's where most people get ursel branding wrong. They only talk about what they do. Not who they are and i want to take a huge step back and talk about your upbringing. What was your upbringing. Like where your parents supportive. And then were there any people in your family that were content creators like walk me through that process. Walk me through the early childhood years. Well the funny thing about that is my childhood looks. Nothing like what i am now and the reason i say that is i. I was always. And i don't want to say it was my parents because it wasn't my parents. My parents were always whatever you want. You can do. Whatever you set your mind to chase your dreams you can make your dreams happen chase your dreams you can catch your dreams but.

"And now we're gonna actually the in the in the form of abby because time You know assad. From being like you know this nebulous concept on the show is represented on screen. As like you know a little game thingy clicker. Yeah it's a it's represented as a tv wrote like that you can rewind and skip for one point held by a little girl right like by the. Yeah yeah toyota. Yes yeah. I mean like i do get that like i. Time is supposed to be represented as this like constant equal equal and opposite reaction and turning it bureaucratic is like funny for like two episodes. Like it's very. But i mean like these are things that like. That's like i'd be like. I was charmed by the british was what i was talking about earlier is like hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Does stuff like this better. Maybe you you know there are things that have done this better but it is cool. You know even even episodes of like star trek the next generation. That don't do it that well do it. Better than loki does frankly but i think the thing about tenant to me right is it at least like again. If you're introducing time travel is essential thing they need you need to have tension intention comes from the fact that the characters going okay. There's some time bullshit going on in this story and that's annoying. Or how are we going to overcome this. Because time is such an insubstantial and yet ubiquitous thing. Ray that's hard to get a handle on both conceptually and then literally. I think tenant is at least good at again. Making it feel like a dramatically potent force in a story whereas loki treats it like a christmas present. And i don't know. I think a lot like I remember years ago on the website. I wrote about the anime series. The melancholy of our racism. You which has really controversial arc in the second season called the endless eight where the animators and this is like not netflix style. Dump all episodes at once every week for a summer they aired an episode that was basically the same episode as the previous week but again and like reanimated. All the voice lines taken again. And you just have like week-to-week people watching the show going like wait but this episode that aired last week but also there are differences and it turns out to be some time travel bullshit. It's like the characters are basically stuck in a time loop right like one of the characters is playing godlike har- he is a god and she's obnoxious and she's unwitting about her own powers and she's basically caught herself in oliver friends in replaying their high school summer vacation or i forget what grade is but like their summer vacation over and over again until the character's realize what's going on eight weeks of re- like in real time realize what's going on and break out of the loop and to me like yeah. That was probably really annoying. If you watched that show for eight weeks in real time as a viewer and w- it would it's this bullshit. Why are they doing this to me. But it sort of gets to the idea of like. That's that's the dramatic stuff you can do with time. If you're gonna to do time hijinks right is. It shouldn't be that fun. It shouldn't be as fun and kind of trivial as loki makes it out to be h should be like haro. He's ismia or like tenant where it's just like. This sucks like how logistically like they focus a lot on tenant and like you need to change how you think right. I'm like dad. That should be the challenge for the characters but also as a viewer like. What are the puzzles that you can sort of introduced to me as a viewer..

"You doing this at home. Not because you know the second remo job. It's not hard to be professional from your home. She had the equipment and you know you have the the knowledge in any of the professionalism like anything else. You have to make sure that this is done properly and you wanna make sure. These things are not going to become distractions. Because like i mentioned before and i don't i don't say that lightly analysis to brag but other than some basic outline notes and not even for all the shows or even need that i mostly do this from the top of my head because i already know some things. I'm gonna be talking about innocence. Not hard to you know. Speak about that for you. Know dirty forty fifty minutes or whatever it's gonna take so that that's normally Why i say it's important. Because when you do have those distractions all things you had all lined up ahead in order and everything then they become a little Cast aside. And i don't like that 'cause that's the last thing you don't want to do on a show especially podcast show that's as literary is. You don't wanna have lots of spaces. You know of time or a silent so you don't want to sound like you know spending one hundred years to gather your thoughts took to look for a piece of paper now and if you have to read something because you know i have certain certain episodes especially the ones lately The classics bright light series. Where there's so much material so much stuff that you need to be able to put out there that you gotta read from something. Because i can't remember you know when boys packed knock was born or you know when he put out doctor zhivago you know this out wherever i mean she. Those important details to be able to frame the show. And you know it's good to have those things already printed out and ready to go. So that's why i say that. Now i think you remember from the last Audio memoir. I had i mentioned about that was embarking on was a personal journey but i wanted to write about some things that happened to me in west germany and put together in a small hybrid fiction. Book that i'm trying to get out there to some publishes it. You know it's out there now. We're here something back positive by got that complete it. It's going to be called. Something happens when you die until it does sound haro and sounds kind of creepy but it you know it's it's it's lurie fiction and you know it had some tough elements so don't get me wrong because you know the way i write. I always had to put something in there so this zoe somebody bleeding. Were dying in there somewhere. But hey i'm in italian. And no anything about tying opera..

JRPG Report Episode 144 - The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Black First Details - burst 02

"Hello friends welcome back to the show. This is the g. rpg. Report episode one hundred and forty five little bit weird this week and we knew it was going to be with christmas eve falling on our normal release date and of course christmas the next day and there must situation My little girl's birthday being the day after christmas so yeah we get a bang bang. Bang three a craziness there. Obviously just mitt that there was really no time to reporter Record a podcast. Even before christmas was just too hectic so We're recording this on saturday. The twenty seventh just a couple days left in twenty twenty. Goodbye rents But we've got a lot of cool things to talk about today. I kinda wanna wrap up all the stuff that we've missed as it's been nine days since our last pockets. No i'm sorry that's not even right. That is fuzzy. Math is been eleven days since our last podcast. So we've got a few things to go over That have popped off. Since then. And i wanna kinda look look forward to sometime this week. Mean jordan are going to get together and kind of talk about What games we really loud from. Twenty twenty maybe even discussed some Game of the year options and then look forward to twenty twenty one as Right off the bat. We got a bunch of games coming out in the beginning of the first the new year. We got to tell you rods two. You've got bravely default to you've got he's nine And the newly Confirmed for some of five strikers. Just a name The the big big ones I'm sure there'll be others. That will be unfortunately lost in the in the way. So we're going to record that sometime this week and In lieu of any news breaking. I may just make that part of the normal podcast unsure on that. But let's get into it. I hope you guys had a wonderful christmas holiday I didn't have any games that i particularly wanted that. We're already out. So i just kind of asked Asked the parents for Email confirmation that beginning Today risa to when it comes out on january twenty six that was cool and i did end up much too. Many of your delight. Hopefully i'm finally going to take a dive into these series. I picked up. Yee's eight for only twenty dollars on the ps story. I could not refuse as the physical version just refuses to ever go down in price so i figured this was by far the best opportunity. Get in on. What many consider to be a very very good. Jr pg and at some point. I'll be playing. It don't really know when that's going to be but that's enough rambling We did have fell. Calm day Twenty twenty winter addition and we got a few tidbits of information about the new legend of heroes. Toddle kiro no koseki if you notice the thumbnail for this Podcast are the two newest main characters is a third as well but these They dig use some high-rise resolution images of the to unsure why the third one was kind of like ashaari pow We'll get you later but still no names for these two characters but we do have a bit of information stuff. You see that image. There's a couple other on our facebook and twitter feed of those two characters while they are. I say have that trails feel to them. I do kind of agree with what president condo said last time that at mediate Glance they don't appear to be trails characters. And i believe that lies in the fact that they are from calvert So they're going to look a little bit different and we'll talk about that in just a little bit. These illustrations were drawn by katsumi. Nama and the other characters are from alcom. Like i said the character's names were not announced to this game is coming out sometime in twenty twenty one in japan so those were the images. There were some other ones as well. If you'd like to see all those. I did put up a slide show video on our youtube channel. So you can check those out if you don't feel like clicking through pictures of via the website here is what we do know and i will just read this to you as this is the about for the new age of heroes karoo new koseki beyond the blue sky ahead of flashing light a land. A dawning resides cuba. There's no spoilers going on in here. This is all preliminary stuff in the news story arc. So we don't have to worry about that type of stuff the ladder this latter half of the trails. There is about to begin. The setting moved to the calvert republic in two thousand and twenty one foul calm release. Legend heroes kernigan the latest entering the trail serious as its fortieth anniversary rumors of work. The calvert nation is a multi ethnic nation experiencing unprecedented economic growth. Brought about by post war reparations. In a corner of the capital of a huge nation were immigration issues bringing about political instability. Okay well maybe. There are some spoilers in here okay. let's just get to the best. I'm sorry i read that. And i didn't think about it until just now okay. The command style action time bow system. You didn't previous trails. Titles has been revamped and that's going to set up an from a couple people. Let's just see what they said. Seamlessly transitioned from action oriented field battles to turn based commands battle to turn based command battle systems while making use of the unique elements the sixth generation combat or meant would try to pronounce his last time. I'm not sure how it is x. I f. r. x. i. p. h. a. z. Feel in a ballots to evolve from the previous trails titles. Okay so what does that mean. I don't. I don't know i really don't know how to had say seamlessly transition from action oriented field battles to turn based command battle systems I i mean obviously there's a bit of an extra element when you strike the enemies on the field in order to go into the turn based battle i. I need to see this in action to really know what they're even beginning to talk about would just have to wait and see You will feature many elements you laws. It's setting including a topics system which enabled together until such topics by communicating with. Mpc's out towns tra- gate situations in your favor when you act as a spray gun and that is the The character it's basically a detective. But they're calling them spring and alignment flame system. In which characters three alignments great and chaotic fluctuate depending on your own style influencing various status allies and adversaries and even scenario developments please look forward to allege heroes lowest entrance toasters depicted enrich expression by thumbs new original ingen. So that's that's pretty cool Here's what how they set up the situation and I get. I don't wanna get too much into this. The to emit the two people that you see in the image the one is the one call the speaker those are they say sometimes detective somedays negotiators and other days as bounty hunters. They're up for any job from any client. That's pretty cool And then the other one is Say to be a school girl wearing uniform. Prestigious school visits a rundown building located in old town in cowards capital. So that's the setting that's beginning of it. You can check out those images. Like i said there's a third character in the images as well with the two swords on his back and some long hair but we don't have any details. There is a battle scene that shows what looks like to be a craft or an art powering up but that from that snippet it does look to be turn based. So don't i'm so confused as to what to make. But i'm certainly excited about this one. But the lack of details and the promise of something new is leading to some question marks popping up. And i don't necessarily love that idea but it is what it is and until we learn a little bit more. It's just going to be speculation Unfortunately though that wasn't the only bit of information. And i'm sure we'll have a bunch more but Foul calm day twenty twenty winter. Also let us know about and this is not really affecting us as much. But they did. Say that a hatch marco koseki which is the one before this one and after cold steel four Clouded leopard entertainment will release a switch. Pc esteemed version of the game Sometime in summer. Twenty twenty one in japan in asia. I'm nearly positive. That's the same company that handled The transition for coastal three and four to the top of my head. So i came out for. Ps four in japan on august twenty seventh. So you know nearly a year later. They're talking summer to get that Switch pc version now. It handles the asian side of this and i s america handles the translation available. At least they have for the past two games In the cold still series in the west still no confirmation that that translation is ongoing. That have to assume that it is unless it's being handled by other parties I mean exceed did do the first two trills of cold steel games but at imagine that they are going to do this hedge amari as well and as soon as i hear something about that it will happen. It's certainly a good thing that this is happening and It could lead to a speedier at least for these games in the west. But like i said still no information on unfortunately. The last thing that they talked about was not briefly. Mentioned this last time the natto. noca- seki game. That is coming out in japan for For playstation four. This was the old Two thousand twelve least. Psp action rpg though some new details and images kinda showing the ps p version versus the Ps four version of it They're sent opposites gonna run at sixty frames per second on. Ps four with more vibrant graphics. Not being obviously these are things that you'd want to have updated from an old old system user interface options One thing that i thought was very interesting. And i'm not to say what they say. This game is not connected to the trails game. However the main character's name is now utah herschel now you trails players especially cold. Steel will know towa. Her last name is hershal So what they're they say there's no connection but then there's a connection is the protagonist and a boy from that island who attends and academy in saint elise. Those aren't you know aren't names that i recognized the from the trails series so it is very very interesting and i would be would like to know what that connection is at kind of read through it. You can read through the tales. Like i said before i am lower on the percentage scale To say of this game was actually going to make it over here or not. I if i if you say your day is gonna come today out outs. Action say no but would just have to wait and see. The original game did not look super impressive. So this isn't a game that i'm all that excited about to begin with but we'll have to. We'll just have to wait and see if that indeed happens for a lot of switch owners the next. Gop g they will more than likely be picking up is going to be bravely default to gain closer and closer to that february twenty. Sixth rolled wide release date friend square annex released new trailer for it albeit in japanese and have still not seen an english version of this yet so it talks all well. Supposedly it talks about wiz walt. The country established by those mejia's. They did it themselves to studies. The magic research institute But the the real kicker with this one and you can see it. Is this places overgrown. It looks like it was built kind of in the middle of it are on top of a giant tree. And there's just this tree just going right up through entire town is really cool again Trailer is how long was trailer of about three and a half minutes. Like i said in japanese so you can't really tell what's going on but it is kind of cool to see some of the visuals in action Four it but if you're elected shake those game out for yourself you can check out the demo for it It is now live on the east shop and One who feels the demo before its release will even pick up one hundred mine. Intendo platinum points here is the Short official description of the demo experienced the games at risk and reward system character strategy and stunning visuals in the latest braley default to final demo in this demo. The games four men characters are already other journey with jobson abilities at their disposal. I downloaded this. The other night. as if getting the switch away from my kid was hard enough with minecraft previously The kid did pretty good for Christmas and her birthday. And i now had to contend with her own copy of animal crossing so she and my wife can play two switches and who copies of animal crossing so they can will each other's islands. I know she also got the Spyro trilogy which. I really enjoyed those games growing up. So i can't wait to play those with her and relive those moments and she picked up mario maker to so. I'm not seeing that switch for a while. Maybe once she goes to sleep. If i don't have anything to play eck fired that demo. I would like to see how it is shaping up as will If you've got some free time and you're looking for d'you monster hunter rise. There are to say ten videos in total. Let's do a little no here. One two three four seven eight nine ten eleven twelve. There's twelve total. So i check. They were they were released in two packs. I take them all and made them into six long. Because it only about a minute minute long. So if you're one to check out some of the different weapons they go into monster hunter rise. You can do that going from Things like the switch axe gun lance hammer sorted shield heavy light bogue gun. Land is long swords and even the hunting horn. That's just the winner that don't into it's been Hit with a couple delays here lately. Not sure how much. Everything's pandemic related at this point but how much they just wanna fine tune things in. How much is really needed to make this work. Obviously you're doing with a system of past present and future while stuff can go wrong and working Just the way that you would like it to work New genesis the fantasy star online. To almost say reboot but definitely the new version of there is the opening movie for it and you should probably check this out. If we're looking at over fifty minutes of new footage as well mostly the character creation for its but this opening movie You know typically when you see these opening movies. Engine which looks amazing Definitely if you're looking forward to this you should check it out sometime in twenty twenty. One is the release date Four it but again. This is one of those. Well not one of those but this is the faa gain. That i'm kind of just don't understand why it's not on playstation four. In the west it is in japan. But you've got to either play on xbox or on pc here in the west doesn't make a ton of sense but there's just things like that in this world that we gotta kinda get used to them. I guess we got three bits of sky news this week. i is. You can check out the fourth official trailer for six defiance of destiny I believe there's an english. There's an english version for this out. Now you can check it out. There was originally came out. There was just a japanese version but the english version shows off of really cool voices that they've got for the game. They got some good voice. Talent in this one in Very fitting for the series especially the little reincarnated pug services is awesome It's about seven or review of the game If you are curious about what's going on in this one changes that they've made this series. You will definitely want to check it out. Of course it doesn't come out in the west until summer. Twenty twenty one. Japan is going to get it in right about a month on january. The twenty eighth The other day actually. This was on christmas eve that this news broke New punchy released some new information screenshots for the game featuring and i hope i get these names right la haro aetna and flown Those were the original characters from the original the sky and they are saying that Basically once you beat the game you can Play a scenario with these original characters in it so kind of a you know. They're not in the main game this something post post content but the fact that they're in their would open the door to other characters popping up from other games as well. So that's a cool thing The world inside of an item. I m worlds have mended. Detailed in this article on worlds are divided into several fours slash layers and the items level increases with every four. That you clear says weapons become stronger as they level up. You can clear there either. Worlds to power them up once. An item is leveled up. You can get the same item at the same level from then on pretty cool feature of the sky series all these images i took input into a slide show. You can check that out on our youtube channel so you can dispatch companions into item worlds to research them. There's a new team attack system with up to ten characters in it. That's a pretty cool feature. New enemies were detailed There's a new horsemen. That's pretty crazy. So here's the Previous protagonist Oh here we go says not only will hear from. Our doctors appear the protagonist in heroines of the sky. Two three four and five will also appear in three d. The protagonist and heroines wilburs as downloadable content sometime after the launch of disguise six. So there's a from the sky to or i don't know in timika these pronunciations. I'm at risk of offending people. I understand how they're supposed to be pronounced So yeah they're gonna add them in there as as post content deal see. That's the type of thing. Like i would think you'd be okay with paying for because that's obviously not a part of disguise six. They are previous games characters in new content. So take how you feel about. Dlc that is that's one thing i think is is no k To do speaking of all those previous disguised characters they are all assembled in the rpg. Mobile game And we got news from bolt chain games that they will release worldwide the mobile version the sky arc in spring. Twenty twenty one Unless you're in these countries in the no fast if you are but we are a western primarily focused podcasts. So you're not going to get in china taiwan hong kong macau singapore malaysia or korea Sorry don't i don't know why maybe that is. Just it's gonna come out later. Maybe there's some rules preventing that From happening if we're interested in getting it on a closed beta for the game. They will have one for canada. Brazil australia and the philippines sometime in january so really happy to see this thing go worldwide. There was a global announced trailer for it This came back It came back in march of twenty nineteen in japan. Had a whole bunch of issues with it and It was de definitely the this game was deadly responsible for some financial hardships for nippon ichi. And they finally got up. Right obviously gotta writes the point. Now they're really to bring this thing out worldwide As far as the gotcha game or not. I don't know if i recall. I think it was paid game. Dx and the They were supposed to come on japan on february twenty eighth. they have been delayed until march fourth. Twenty twenty one in japan. So if and when a western. What's going to happen for that. it's now going to be About five weeks later. I would to guess based on This delay these games Were from chloe tecmo and gusts so yeah just a little bit of Delay they save for further quality improvements. The games will be available for. Ps four switch and pcv steam win. They are released whenever that is sort. Online alsatian lakers got version one point to update it is now available and it adds a simone's ancient apostles story of course over various user interface online system battle improvements bugs fixed in addition to those two that new ancient apostles. Twenty twenty one in japan. You can already get this game for. Ps four switch or pc much better version of it perhaps it's a little bit cheaper On the mobile platform but still no word of a western release for that mobile platform. All these games coming out here in the near future. I've got one last. So i've still got a good thirty to forty hours to go hopefully make it in time to Play roz a two day one but we have to wait and see that game just keeps on keeps on going but Going to be is going to be tough. I'm really going to have to search my feelings. That i think is flowing anything to if it's going to be found pacers. Seven remastered or a remake rather or four. It's it's really tough there. There's my heart says one thing amonte says another and there's different things to have to consider overall ought to make that final decision here real soon on what that What was looking forward to our thoughts here are coming out this week on. Kyle duncan beckett. "Roddy so small. Watch this today. I mean the market con of played. What are we not. I mean we. We certainly saw off Throughout the session in fact from the break of yesterday's law yesterday now the die before we move roughly three percent low so you know it was continuing that selling momentum it was starting to increase in the price of which it was coming off but then it reversed and now we've got bullish candles now. The interesting thing for mayo. The most important thing for me is how far we recovered from the low. All of the die we recovered about five point four percent now as much as the only closed off what it close up one point two percent. It's way price came from. Its reading the information accessible on that shot but that candle align its tokes to make it says a lot to me and it's now bullish candle. It's in the cradles. Aren't certainly not a crime. Tried from our point of view given the fact that we do not have that wonderful. Simplicity fantastic trend. But it's there The two days also in that cradles iron as well now not decide that they want further not at all but if we were to move higher i six three. I think thousand six hundred thirty We go to break but this looks like the market is still a little bit on will at wants to do and that the guy in comes from that daily candle it was selling off it had broken. The pride is low. it was. The friday was down. Four point five percent down over three percent at one stage there yet. We bounced back. I want to look at the journey of bitcoin. What it did throughout that some threat session. All to for example there was a little high low in ohio and of course it's not the cleanest clearest transnational another trend that. I'm looking to try but a detroit. Sell off a guy from the cradle zayn and filed. It did not get to move law. The market decided out to the market saw that not. We're gonna continue to move higher. All is it just david pullback before the next ditlow these are things that are right now right now. I certainly still short tried. I have a couple of the that are their modest but a guy. It's the clarity of direction is just not really strong right now especially given yesterday's selloff in pull back up to closing strong will was closing strong close than where it was at its lows of course and of course the ball. We've got something very similar again. Bitcoin was up one point. Two percent closed. I ten thousand five hundred forty. Where now down point four four hundred and seventeen and not ready telling me too much a guy like i said the The cape point ready. The high obviously is closed. Eighteen thousand six hundred thirty bragged that with what you see it. Climb back towards nineteen thousand but again the the there is not a real strong confirmation there of trend on a theory actually looking for short. Yes tonight closed up three point four percent and the guy just to talk you through. I will let kendall tells me from. Its lies to its close. It recovered point full sent. That's my main fate. That's a big move under though it didn't close up three point six percents nothing to be studied that Dying in that cradles the two days still hanging in there with could continue to console it for a while but if the high of yesterday's candle for seven twenty six we might see further nothing really special that exile pay close up four point two percent yesterday which ends up being recovery was on its lies. Fifteen point five percent a big recovery from excel pay still continues to be a quad volatile. Dies saying some big moves up and down quite frequently. There are fifty seven point six cents carney game and one percent today so far with them only just opening about forty minutes ago Bitcoin cash. I'm not really interested in bitcoin. Cash still back within that channel and it's very messy now. It closed up point full of percents stick with the same fame That was a recovery from its lies of five point six seven percent where two hundred and sixty nine dollars right now which is flat on the lot going closed up point five of a percent and as much as there are lower highs and lows and a twelve hour clearly showing downtrend. There's no notebook leah a great short traits to meet the staging a guy and just requires a little bit more patients and two white to say if that market can deliver. What is that. We're off to in terms of confirmation of direction. A guy from its lawyers to where it closed way recovered seven point five percent at seventy seven dollars and eleven so right now down point four percent on the day Still busy guy. Still very messy shot up point three percent yesterday. The recovery on yesterday was fox. Six percent there's not much interest for me for aol. Still it's just not ready. Got himself in any sort of position to be. I guess capturing more tension to eighty rot now. This one of the closed down it closed down one point six two percent now the recovery for they a very messy job was also six point two percent. It's a very horrific looking shot. It is really really ugly. It's lacking a great deal. The four there is a down trend. somewhat it's just not very good in. It's not a child i'm really Sorry considering for any directional trading he hundred sixty nine ninety four Cost to buy one right now. bonnets pulled back the twenty seven dollars closing the One point seven percent which also recovery was from its lows on that support roughly around about full point seven percent. It's the only one in the top ten currently up at some point one of the percents not a great deal and at the twenty eight dollars and nineteen cents a game. A market looked trend. Number four is not bad but without support twenty seven. It's not one that i'm going to be. I'm able to thrive myself out. If i'm honest. Cow donna no no the daily it was up. It was well full point eight percent at a giant recovery from its lies and thirteen bounce back. Thirteen point eight percent from its To where it closed a guy hip. It is a bit choppy. It is a bit messy much assignments. You pretty much majority of the market. There is potential for a shorts It's just it's the now that's really the one that would have more attention more than any of the other time frames at this stage but a guy white for that confirmation. Fourteen point six cents is what will cost you to baucau donna right now which is down point. Six seven of sent yesterday for lake. It was well a three point. Eight percent and the recovery from its lows. It isn't a bit of a downtrend. Rotten handle the smoothest but today recovering from life is nine point six percent of a strong rejection of those laws which is pretty much saying across the entire market yesterday so much we have seen a little bounce off. We're gonna continue haro Pullback for more down with momentum

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for Nintendo Switch review

"Hara warriors. Age of calamity is a demo out. Intendo switch which is free to download ahead of the launch on november the twentieth much more breath the wild and it's predecessor hyrule warriors nintendo of done a great job of marketing this one as a breath prequel and it's got fans hardtop and are really really look forward to the release. The visuals and mechanics of the game are very breath. The walled with curry tecmo bringing in the sheikha slight abilities like bombs ice magnetism the bio mechanics of horror. Warriors have been mixed in really well here with link and other party members feeling really powerful when you run into battle to mogens and the other enemies are flying in the absolute hundreds really really cold. Seen the game has been sapped as a prequel and as such age of calamity is set one hundred years before breath of the world and we saw games is of this battle in breath of the wild itself with the champions falling battle against calamity. Gannon the snippets. We saw wearing cut scenes and memories and age of calamity looks to finally fill in the blanks for us the various playable heroes in the game including link impo zelda and the champions themselves. I don't play tara warriors previously but the bow system is super fun. Actually i had a lot more fun than i thought. I was going to. If i self against waves of enemies in the hundreds much more than freshness standards zelda game battles take place in a math around haro with a at filled with friendly and enemy does to as pockets of enemies but there's also objectives marked on the map we have to either secure location or takeout big enemy or this some kind of objective in the demo. Batum with guardian. We have to enable these sleeping guards help. Impact and a mini time travelling guardian to there's a variety of attacks including a light attack has a heavy attack and various special attacks. Which also have a cool down as mentioned before you got access to these chic as lite which allows you to use bombs crisis as stacy's too so bombs are really good for destroying a bunch of enemies and also freeze enemies with stasis because smash enemies off into the distance which as as it was in breath awad age of calamity battles film and the characters. You play already different to his easy to switch between characters during batteries in the deep end so impo in particular is very powerful as she can make duplicates of 'self and seldom makes creative use of the sheiks like but she doesn't feel quite as powerful as the other two characters. I played infamy is the most fun definitely. Give her a try. I'm looking forward to playing as the champions in particular dirac so related to the narrative. The game there's a mini guardian. The can travel through time and he appears to be in. Jairo costs sometime in the future and hops into a wormhole to escape a big guardian. The narrative is super interesting as you pretty much the fate the champions link and zelda similar to star wars rogue one tragedy does a white the how we get there is going to be full of twists and turns at first. I wasn't really sure about this. Release not having played the other titles dynasty warriors or hira warriors. I wasn't ready tissue about this. Zelda spinoff but the fact that nintendo has given arguably the talk name to a third party says a lot which know downton. We'll be across much more than ever before and the great thing about the demo is you can jumping without having to make expensive commitment science clemency job in its hands command in november with loads of behaviors around it plus new consoles. But this is definitely something. Nintendo fans are gonna be checking out over the holiday season. So i'd say if you're on the fence pick up the demo and give it a try. I for one have been persuaded a can't wait to jump in come november the twentieth.

New York Mets' DeGrom and Yankees' LeMahieu Both Placed on Injured List

"Jacob. degrom the mets we all know Jacob degrom, but he was crash from his start on Friday. With a against the phillies with some next stiffness, he'll start his planning on starting against the marlins Miami and you know. I'm surprised actually pitching to be completely honest because. The season is pretty much I. Mean I guess that he would be. He would basically just be doing it so he could get paid at this point, but I mean he would get his prorated salary regardless if he was playing or not at the mets are nine and fourteen therefore games out of the. Four Games out of the East lead they've already lost one two of their best players with marcus, stroman and Noah syndergaard. Know. Why he would even play. It doesn't look like the mets are really going to be doing anything in the division. So. I mean. A. Whole I'll just come back through another game and then and then pretty much just opt out of the season if I were him but. You know he's he's out there playing and he's doing a great job this season and you know you gotta come you got you give him his props for endlessly fighting for the New York mets even then they haven't. You know they've been trying to hold onto whatever relevancy they've had since the I think it was Twenty Sixteen World Series, Twenty Fifteen, twenty, six world series when they lost to the Kansas city royals but alongside him another one in another player from the Bronx went down this weekend. Dj Lemay Hugh. Aaron Boone said the digital mayhew is going to be out for about two to three weeks. He was placed on the ten day de L. With thumbs strain. Suffered it just on a swing in the fourth innings. Nathan you've all the which is not. Not a good sign for the New York Yankees but I mean they're they brought up Miguel and do hard their defense is going to go down but their offense will stay. Will stay you know. Fairly even Keel for the most part I would say they would go down a little bit because Dj here's a four hundred hater and Miguel Angel Harz in anything like that. But I think M Miguel and do Haro. You'll love the at a little bit more power to the lineup. And? They'll lose a little bit of the base but I mean they're they're crews in right now. So I mean it's not going to hurt the Yankees a little too much.

They just make additions all the time of things to do, and then it keeps us abreast of everything that we need to do when to do it and what we're going to be doing. Things to do list. and. There's a lot of responsibilities here. At the network. And Mavi is constantly adding to the things to do book. "Oh another business. There's education there's healthcare's hi tack and you can basically subscribes those. I would recommend subscribing to the three a day. Updates which is a lot of emails attempt sends you three miles a day for each category. Or if you sign up for the master Haro in send you all of the heroes three times a day but the reason I would sign up for this is because Harles time sensitive so when you want to submit something. Reporters basically take first come first serve hedges so you want to respond to it as quickly as you can see a. Haro pop up in your email. Take a look see if anything's relevant and submit based on the details at her class or this to the next category distribution there are several PR distribution channels. In fact you can leverage. Sison to distribute your press release like I mentioned before this is the list that you create within the platform however most people rely on cross released distribution channels the most popular our PR news wire businesswire any more recent contender. Globes newswire also keep in mind. If you're in a specific industry you may want to search a specific channel for press releases for that industry so for example in the video games industry for quite a while they have something called Games. Press that standard channel for press release distribution and heavily relied upon and people will check the Games press newswire in the morning to see what games news has come up at silver telegram. We use a popular wholesaler crash. Leases called releases and they basically resell the online distribution of PR. News wire at a more affordable plans which ranges from three hundred to five hundred dollars then typical newswire distribution which is roughly eight hundred two thousand dollars and keep in mind the area of geographic regions the topics all those things are gonNA play a factor in your distribution costs as well as workout. So be mindful of your account. You're writing releases. A typical will have found when you're writing Keep it concise as possible. The next category is social. There's no limit to social media tools. I'm sure there's way more than I know about. But the ones that we most commonly use our scheduling tools like buffer and hoot suite. They have both individual enterprise size subscriptions that you can tap into those and not totally break the bank and really depends on how many channels you're managing and how much you're scheduling to measure. Hashtag traction or specific social handles or channels. We use social. Mentions you can actually look Hashtag and see how many times mentioned you can look a brand name. You can look up like twitter. Url and get a full kind of digest of the mansions. If you're wondering how social media posts looks so good on some channels. There's some online graphic tools like can valid in a personal favorite at peak muggy among others. That can instantly make your posts look professional. They already have the side requirements for Instagram facebook. Twitter cover peaceful covers. Linden covers all victims than they have the dimensions of everything in there. And they have all these great tool have Gray different finds that you can use to make your post look as professional as possible. The next category is measurement last but not least measurement tools are already challenging in this industry of PR. But if you want to check some traffic of website log magazines you can leverage Sison which also if you look up the outlets which are able to do. You can get there Deserters for the most part and they can give you kind of all report in range on the outlet what excite another site that allows you to access analytics and his book marks on. My Browser is similar. Web and the numbers are little bit under reported. But it's better to be safe than sorry. They give you website traffic unique monthly visitors. Also log in through G. Mail Bellevue Demographics. So there's a lot of cool information you can get for particular websites that you could make a decision on whether you WanNa do this certain interview or if how much your placement was worse. Let's say you in article in USA. Today for example you can see the potential. Reach of the article demographics the article and kind of quantitative last. But not least at a lot of social media. Of course you're playing the influence or game you can look directly at the audience looking at a number of followers of the influencers what they have on their channels so you know they're instagram followers. Facebook followers followers youtube offers something to note though is while some influencers might have a tremendous presence on one channel. It doesn't necessarily translate to the other channels so somebody you have a really intense instagram following. Like fifty thousand people may have such a great eighteen fine so the rule here is to check out their main area focus and focus on the channels and even better rule would be figuring out where you want to be placed instagram. Do you WanNa be on the Youtube. Do you WANNA be on facebook so figure out where you WANNA be. And if it's worth it based on their followers on that specific channel. Who's like I said? It does not always translate. We'VE FOUND INSTAGRAM. Followers with not rate website followings. So it's just something to kind of factoring when you're searching this. A lot of this has to use manual search however social media tool that kind of gives you that there's a new company. They're out of Denmark. That called influ scouts and if you tap into their database they can give you engagement demographics they can collate the following and then you can search criteria and they can pull together a list of influencers for you that may be your target audience so I think influ scouts is also a great resource. Actually bring you. There are boatloads of tools out there however using the ones that we typically.

"I'm Eric Olson. I'm dave join us on our journey to building. We are one hundred million dollar company. What's happened everybody? Eric Olsen here there is an email l. newsletter named help a reporter out H. A. R. O. also referred to as Horo Horose Pretty Cool. I've used it off and on over the years and the concept is this there our reporters at publications. Some of them are big publications. That you've heard of and some of them. Probably most of the nationally are as small publications like Mike Independent websites. Maybe like my website where I want a source for an article that I'm writing so these are journalists that are putting out L. queries saying hey I need someone. Who has this experience or this expertise to comment on an article that I'm writing about whatever so let's say that someone's writing an article about I don't know I mean look around the office a white leather chair and they wanna find an expert someone who knows everything? There is to know about white leather chairs. And so they'll submit a query to Horo and Nat Query goes out with a whole bunch of other queries from a whole bunch of other journalists. There's so many of them. They sent out an email three times a day to whoever is subscribed as though that query will go out to people like me who wanna get. Pr Who want some attention. Maybe and they'll say I'm looking for anyone who knows anything. There is no or Ashley anyone who's an expert in white leather chairs and I happen to be an expert on white leather other shares. Will guess what I'm going to respond to it and then potentially that reporter will either take email the information provided in the email or they may call call me and site me as a source in their publication. If it's a big publication this could be a really big break few. I've used this like I said on an off over the years most recently during the holiday season of two thousand eighteen for whatever reason it's an odd really into it. I was getting their emails. I was reading every single email that I got and I was responding probably to least on average one of those e mails three times a day. And what I noticed. was that a lot of the queries that were coming out from journalists. Were things like those. They're kind of. Repetitive Ashley what are your number one. Are you a digital marketing expert and number two if you are. What are your predictions for digital digital marketing trends for two thousand nineteen and so I started to see these queries come out from journalists and I was like Oh this is perfect for me right number one? Yes I know my digital marketing number two. I Wanna get cited in a publication as an expert and then I want to tell them what I think is going to happen in digital marketing joining in the next year the for a lot of reasons one someone important who needs digital marketing could read it they could be impressed and they could pick up the phone and call me. They could find me and they call me too. It's an opportunity for us to convey to our audience that we were picked picked up by some other media and we got attention thus reinforcing that we're experts in our field digital marketing three we could use it on our website et Cetera. That we were cited and all these publications. But it's easy to do especially if you see the same kind of query coming over and over again you can almost copy and paste but what I found. was that this three or four month period where I was actually responded to it. There were a lot of queries. They came out. There were relevant to me. I was replied to a lot of them and I was getting a success rate of about fifty percent. I got cited on a lot out of websites and a lot of articles. Nothing major but my name's out there with quotes there's hyper links back to our website. My my email addresses there so people can contact me. I got out there and I really didn't do that much work so I think you should check it out. It's a good way we get free. Pr Again it's help a reporter out. I think their website is help a reporter out DOT com. I don't have in front of me but just Google for help. A reporter out. Or How H. A. R. O.. You'll get on it. Sign up for their email list. Get a couple of email sivas relevant to you if something is relevant Kevin Respond. You don't respond to everyone but why not I mean if you've got an extra two or three minutes just check it out and see if it works for you. My guess is that there will be some things you can respond onto and can get some really good and free attention..

"Have I'm like, really didn't even know that was one of them. You know, it's mind blowing anonymous groups are. Yeah. I mean you think about it. You know, and I've always thought about this and getting sober. You know, a lot of people have an addiction to something. It could be shopping base. Spending it can be food porn, everything. And so, you know, meetings, they need to be all out. Out of all, that's something we talk about a lot to are those secondary addictions. Right. Like in not that there's ever only one, but as a person who is an addict, right? Like I can be addicted anything if I do something, and I like it. I naturally want to do more of it, right? No matter what it is just my wiring, you know. And it's been interesting. Threw out the process of my recovery. Seeing how that compulsion will crop up in other areas of my life, and just really having to be mindful of how I'm doing things and am I getting out of balance and getting unhealthy because I really can do it with almost anything foods for sure. I've been super open about my struggles with food addiction. I have to be careful about shopping not necessarily spending, but just going shopping is very much an escape for me. It's an escape from reality. Right. I can go and just wander and shop. I don't care by anything but I. Have to be really careful about that, you know, because it's still just another thing I will use to escape. Yeah. It's, it's amazing. I mean you know, I've I've seen myself, you know, kinda go down this path, and you really do have to just stay conscious of it and be able to take a step back. It's like okay I need to make a change. And so, you know, I make sure if I do have kind of these compulsive behaviors that is something that is extremely healthy. So, for instance earlier this year, I started intermittent fasting. I do that, too. Yeah. Yeah. It was great more energy. I mean you know, I was getting more than enough. You know calories in my body and everything. And I was working out with it, and it was going great while I started my new job, and I really didn't have much time to, you know, workout and things like that. And I dropped all of the muscle, I gained and everything. And just got super skinny. And so I'm like, okay, that's something I have to stop now other what? Because it's unhealthy for me. Right. Right. And, and yeah. Just being conscious of that. Yeah. Huge. But yeah, I wish I could get the exercise addiction to stick for me the one that's the one that I don't seem to have tough. I mean, I don't know if it's really stuck with me. They're forced myself to go. I mean, especially with the hours that I have to work. I have to wake up at four thirty in the morning. Good at the gym on the days, I go to the gym, and I'm not a morning person at all people like, you know, work are like, oh, you're so crazier. Such morning person. I can never do that. I'm like, I'm not a morning person either. I just need to work out, and I'm literally forcing like, I don't go to the gym. I don't go to the gym so much for how I look, right? Like that's not my thing, especially at my age. You start to let go of some of that stuff. You know what I mean? Like I don't have to look. Way away. A certain thing I'm okay with that. But I go to the gym for my mental health, absolute because I having that at times can be debilitating. And I have about a hundred things going on in my professional life. Like I need my energy, I need to feel good. I need to be able to get everything done that I wanna get done with a great attitude and not be freaking out. And if I don't address my anxiety directly it will win. I've role busy so yeah. For me that working out in that exercise is imperative for my mental health. It just keeps me in a good place, same here. And if I take even a few days off, that's when my executives through the roof and I can almost feel an anxiety attack coming upon awful. But when I'm consistently working out in, when I'm eating healthy things like that. It is really not anywhere close. To his exist in as it is. And so, you know, such a difference. Yeah, our bodies. I mean they're a machine and we have to treat it right. We have to put the right oil and, and, you know, we have to work at the right way, and you have our brains to like, I'd love I'm obsessed with the brain and the neuro parts of diction and in healing really just personal development in general. Because obviously, there's a certain place in sobriety that it becomes less about not drinking and using right? It's what is the saying, I say all the time now just resonates with me in such a big way. The point is not to not drink. The point is to love myself so much, I don't wanna drink as that's what it's about, right? Like that's the recovery piece Sobers one thing quit drinking. But the recovery is a whole other thing and constantly working on myself and supporting my brain and doing what I need to do so that my brain will support me is really important in knowing what that stuff is, and what are those employees. Certain pieces for me. What are the things that I can skip every once in a while and be okay? And what are the things that I really need to do every day, you know, right? Yeah. I mean, I completely feel the same way. I mean it's a lot of trial and error. I've had to go through over these past almost six years now and I'm still doing it. It's like, well, let's try this. If this helps me, you know, live my life and be productive. And of course, be happy and have fun and enjoy life, get the most out of life, you know, and all of that on top of, you know, of course, being sober if I'm miserable, if I'm not happy and not healthy. And you know, things are just not going. Well, that's really that is putting my life at risk at that, for sure recovery at risk. So, yeah, I need to keep the machine well oil, and, you know, I wonder sometimes too, if that's why if that's why we are a little more dedicated to continuing personal development. Right. Because our because what what's at risk for me is much higher? You know what I mean? Like a non addictive person doesn't have the consequences that I have if I drink, I don't take care of my. Itself, or if I go back to drinking, you know. Absolutely. That's one of the things that I love about twelve step programs to is. I feel like it is a room full of people who have a level of dedication. Unlike anything I've ever seen before. Right. And that also is empowering to me. You know, at love being around those people are really doing it, and working it in. It's not about doing it. Well, or doing it perfectly or never making a mistake or whatever because nobody does. That's not even possible. But to continue to get up every day and make the choice to continue that journey and try again and try harder. Like I mean I just love being around all those people. I know the energy just flows, and I think that was a huge part to is just being around that kind of energy and. Yeah. And that just, you know, inspired me to keep on that journey, and keep building from there. Yeah. Has there ever been a time you felt like your sobriety was at risk? Like have you ever had a time that you thought about drinking again? I mean, not really, because I, I had, I think just done so much damage. Yeah. Due to it that I was like, okay, it's either life or death. And I have to always treat it that seriously. Right. If I take a sip fi make the decision to go to the bar. I'm just putting the nail in the coffin. And I take that. So seriously, that really it just doesn't cross my mind, no matter what I'm going through in, like I've had so many ups and downs emotionally and, and, you know, in every which financially every which way in life, but it just does not cross my mind because that would literally be putting the nail in the coffin for me. And I don't want to end my life. I want to see you know where I can take myself and what I can overcome. You know, I'm not giving. Now it's so good. Right. I really wanted to see this thing. Exactly case when I was drunk and depressed. But yeah. Now that's totally. The case. What would you say? Is your toughest time in sobriety? Hardest thing that you've been through sobriety. And how did you get through it and not drink? You know, some of the toughest times, really have been financial issues. I mean, I've been in and out of jobs. And I've, you know, started kind of branches of business and things like that. And trying to learn the whole being an entrepreneur and starting a business and failing multiple times you're getting closer to the one that's gonna work, right? Exactly. And that's what I always have to keep in mind, but, you know, though the failures and everything those don't really bother me at all. It's the financial issues. I sure like you know, not being able to sleep at night and worrying about, you know, paying bills that's pretty awful. And I mean it's such a huge drawn out issue in this. This country alone. I mean, yes. World alone. You know, I it's just one of the worst feelings is not being able to provide for yourself or loved ones, or, you know, I it's just I think those have been the biggest issues and entrepreneurship is not for the faint of Haro. That's for sure. Yeah. And it's not listen, I say this to people all the time, and I don't know why I am the way that I am. You know, I'm just kind of a little vigilante ish in every aspect of my life. You know, I'm a maverick for sure. Always have my brain just thinks in a different way. What everybody else seems to think makes sense. Never make sense to me. Like I just I just had my own thing going on. But if you want stability and regularity in pay and. Benefits and paid vacation. Entrepreneurship is not the right way, you know, like it takes a long time to get to place that you have that kind of stability in your own company, and things like that, but it's hard and I would say part of my financial struggles also were that were really in my immaturity, where because I never grew up in that way. Either I was a bartender my whole adult life. I made a lot of money, and I never had to be responsible. I never had to budget. I never had to think about money. I mean, I was the person that I would make a stack of cash one night, and by a Louis Vuitton.

"There are one I couldn't believe this. When I read this one hundred seventy two named islands and reefs in Washington state, San Juan county they three fairy served islands are San Juan with the county seat delightful Friday, harbor, orcas island and Lopez island, these are the most popular and host the vast majority of lodging, dining options and tourism activities. Barbara Marat has the enviable position of representing these islands and destinations happy Easter Barbara happy Easter, how are you John? I've been tastic let's start by getting to the three island destinations from San Francisco Bay area. Okay. Well, we say the getting here is half the fund most people from the bay area will fly into seatac airport in Seattle from there. They can rent a car and go up to Anna Cordis and take a car ferry to the island ferry ride is really beautiful relaxing. You might see bald eagles or orca whales. And that right is just an hour, depending on which I lend you go to it might take less time or you can take a floatplane from downtown Seattle, which is about forty five minutes or a wheel plane again about forty five minutes from Seattle. So we are real island. We don't have any bridges so you can experience I land time when you get here describe the attractions of each islands. Let's start with San Wallin. Okay. San Juan island. Has Friday harbor which is a destination of distinction, according to the historic. Oh, what's it called a national historic? Register writing island. Also has our San Juan island national historical park, which commemorates peace over war to wonderful lighthouses. One of them lime kiln lighthouse it's celebrating its hundred anniversary on June thirtieth. So there'll be lots of activities there lighthouse tours. There's even going to be a commemorative wine label, then we have Roche harbor, which is the oldest continuously operating lodging in Washington state. So that has the hotel Haro, and then it has five different kinds of. Lodging. It's just really wonderful little spot with a marina kiosk with shops, swimming, pool tennis courts. So that's on the opposite side of the island from Friday harbor. We had the whale museum. Wonderful art museum. So there's wonderful hiking biking kayaking actually on all of the islands. Orcas island is particularly known for food scene. We call it c- to table dining because they actually rate their own seeds, and then have one acre gardens many of the restaurants. They forage locally for fresh seafood. So all of the islands are known as gourmet archipelago. But orcas is kind of the epicenter of the whole eat locally food seen. Those shots have been nominated end one James beard awards for the cuisine. Lopez island is the most agrarian of three islands and probably the flattest. It has it's the most land in the national monument. We were we were designated thousand acres of the fan wants is designated a national monument in twenty thirteen. So there's wonderful parks on Lopez. It's the flattest. So there's a wonderful biking their little. Roadside fruit and vegetables, Dan's and just beautiful rolling hills. So yeah, there's there's lots to see and do all the islands and each island kind of has its own character. Will I have to add this years ago? My wife, and I joined back roads bicycle tour on these islands. It was a week of activity scenery delightful adventures and a repeat getting their as you've mentioned half. The fun is getting to the San Juan islands of also for people that have if you don't have a clue where we're talking about you move from the east or from some other country. But if you're every cruise ship goes right through the San Juan islands, and then the not the channel island the Gulf islands on the on the Canadian side. So there's a a line that the runs through there. And if I'm not mistaken the at the museum there talks about how the United States and Canada kind of broke it up draw. Aw, drew the line, and it just drops just below Vancouver island. So the Vancouver island is in Canada, but you come in from the Pacific Ocean. And there's a San Juan island, and you come you. Come to the San Juan straights up the aisle into the inland. Passage all the way up past British Columbia with Vancouver island on the left British Columbia, the province and then onto Alaska, and you're there. So it's very exciting place in summertime, of course, you heard about the rain, but that's winter summertime. Yeah. We have half the rainfall of Seattle twice as much sunshine. And so there's such a variety of life here. We're really known for watchable wildlife for our FOX's eagles Wales. Not just orca whales. Humpback whales have been coming back into the area. Minke whales. Seal seed line, so it's a favorite activity to watch wildlife here. And if you say, we're at the beginning of the inside passage so in the old days, the cruise ships would stop here in the oh, really bring and fall. And now some of the cruise ships are just spending their time actually in the sailor sea around the San Juan island. So you can do that trip exclusively. If you want to stay in this area. You can also go buy. Yes, he play. "War was a confrontation in eighteen fifty nine way back a between the United States in the United Kingdom over the British US border in the San Juan islands between Vancouver island and the mainland. The pig. War was called as such because it was triggered by the shooting of a pig. We're going to get into that. It's also been called the pig. Episode the pig and potato war. The San Juan boundary dispute or the northwestern boundary dispute. I'm not sure why we couldn't land on a name for this the pig war. Seems plenty good to me. Those other ones are shit the pig and potato wars kind of tight pig episodes. Okay. I think pig wars the clear winner history should have run with that. Let's abandon these other ones. What are we doing? No shots were exchanged no human casualties. This is a bloodless conflict. A dispute solved without a shot fired. But it's an interesting one. So we're going to get into it. There was the treaty the Oregon treaty have June fifteen. Eighteen forty six that resolved the Oregon boundary dispute initially by dividing, the Oregon country slash Columbia district between the United States and Britain along the forty ninth parallel of north latitude to the middle of the channel which separates the continent from Vancouver island, and then southernly southern southerly suddenly through the middle of the said channel and the strait of Juan, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So there there was an agreement made in eighteen forty six, but they're actually two straits that could be called the middle of the channel. There's Herro straight along the west side of the San Juan islands and the resort straight on the east side. So in eighteen forty six there was still some uncertainty about the geography of the region. I the most commonly available maps were those of somebody named George Vancouver published in seventeen ninety eight and of Charles Wilkes published in eighteen forty five in both cases, the maps were unclear about the vicinity of the southeastern coast Vancouver island in the Gulf. And as a result Haro strait is not fully clear either which makes this whole thing kind of unsettled -able. So in eighteen fifty six the US and Britain set up a boundary commission to try to solve the number of issues regarding this international boundary, including the water boundary from the strait of Georgia to the strait of Juan de Fuca. So these meetings were ongoing, but a lot of ambiguity remained did on June fifteenth eighteen fifty nine exactly thirteen years after the adoption of the Oregon treaty that ambiguity led to direct conflict. A guy named Lyman Cutler an American farmer who had moved on to San Juan claiming rights to live there under the donation land claim act found a large black pig rooting in his garden. He found this pig eating his tubers in. Apparently, this was not the first time this has happened. So Cutler gets upset I like to picture this. Being Jay Cutler, if you wanna play along gets pissed sees the pig. Seton is tubers. He fucking shoots it. He kills it. Boom pig is debt. Turns out this pig was owned by an Irishman Charles Griffin who was employed by the Hudson Bay company to run a sheep ranch. He also owned several pigs that he allowed to roam freely. This was one of them that just got blasted in the face. These two had lived in peace until this incident Cutler and Griffin. So color offered him ten bucks to compensate for the pig, but Griffin was unsatisfied with the offer and demanded one hundred dollars. I have to assume that's a lot of money back in the day following that reply Cutler believed he should not have to pay for the pig because the pig been trespassing on his land. There's a story that claims Cutler said to Griffin it was eating my potatoes in Griffin replied, it is up to you to keep your potatoes out of my pig. So British authorities threatened to arrest Cutler in an American settlers, call for military protection. And this whole fucking thing explodes. The next thing, you know, we've got Brigadier General hint William s Harney commanding the department of Oregon..
