The Breonna Taylor Case Must Be Reopened Immediately

"A whole lot has come to the light over the past forty, eight hours in. What we call the Briana Taylor case you know there's a part of me. That gets frustrated that we even call it the Briana Taylor case because a lot of ways. We should name it after the officers should name it after. Miles Cosgrove and bread, Hankinson and others. But we've learned a lot over the past two to three days and we're scheduled to learn a whole lot more tomorrow and what I really conclude as that this case is not over. It's it's not over just practically speaking there's a lot more to learn about it. But it's also not over from a prosecution standpoint and accountability standpoint. These officers particularly the two officers who shot and killed Brianna Taylor who were not charged. Those officers and many other people who were involved in this case from those who approve the warrant to those who falsified the warrant and everybody else up and down the chain who could be held responsible and accountable here there's a lot more work to do I I want to thank the team at vice news over the past couple of years. there have been a lot of complaints about the work conditions advice and even the low level of pay advice, and even a a culture of sexual harassment advice. And I know several people who have now just recently relatively recently started working there after all of these things came out. And you know they've said that the company is on a path to doing so much better and that's good news because we need. Credible fearless new sources involved in cases like this, and we also want them to to have a certain ethical standard and so congratulations to the team advice for the work they've been doing over the past few weeks. I I literally think they could win awards for this work. They Were the first people to get. Hours and hours of body camera footage from the scene. Now, we were always told that no police officers who were involved in the shooting of Taylor had body cameras. Now, we're literally and a lot of ways just forced to take their word for it. What we do know now though is that. Multiple officers had body cameras on when they arrived after the shooting and the team advice they have obtained and released. A good a good amount of that footage and it's Deeply insightful and incredibly problematic. We see several things in that footage including. Violations of policy. One thing we see is officer Bread Hankinson. After he has participated in the shooting violates a policy that almost every major police department in America has he then reenters the crime scene. This man was just involved in the shooting. And the Louisville Police Department has a policy that when you have fired your weapon and there's a crime scene, you're not allowed to reenter that crime scene. You are not allowed to participate in that investigation. It is a a major conflict of interest and he's not just there. He's asking people whose bullet is this WHO's bullet? Is that like he's in there we have no idea. How many times did he going there before someone had their body camera on did he change anything that we don't know what we do know is that he violated a policy that everybody in that department was aware of, and we we know this nice because officers have since been interviewed about about whether or not they're aware of this policy. But that officers there on the scene. Are telling him. You have to get out of here. And not only that you hear that in the body camera footage from multiple people saying two different officers you shouldn't be here right now. It was an obvious policy again though these men thought they were above policy. Again from how the the warrant was obtained to how they executed it. These men were were constantly. Going up against clear department policy, which shows not only frame of mind but shows just how they really saw themselves as above the law. Not, only that. We learned just yesterday that before the raid it was a no knock warrant raid where they for anybody who said they were they were not let into the home they broke into the home in the middle of the night. we now know that multiple officers raised red flags about the validity of the raid before it even happened. and. That's the right. Now one they never splits be clear. They never spoke up about this. We only know that officers were raising red flags about this raid on Brianna his apartment remember. Brianna was not a drug dealer quick quick to BS. There are no drugs in her home. Her Boyfriend Kenny was not a drug dealer and anybody who sang otherwise is lying neither Kenny nor Brianna had a criminal record. They. Committed no crimes. There was no evidence of crimes. There was no shadow of evidence of crimes there in in the apartment period point blank dot com there were no drugs there there. There was no illegal contraband or anything else in in their apartment in you know my position is even if such a thing was found in anyone's apartment, it truly does not warrant the danger that people are put in with these. No knock warrants. That's why the city of Louisville has now banned him. But we now have learned that multiple officers before the no knock raid, and after the no knock raid raise red flags about it.

Former Louisville police officer Brett Hankinson is pleading not guilty to charges related to his alleged actions. The night Briana Taylor died. Hankerson is facing three counts of wanton endangerment, and he is not able to have any weapons as his case makes its way through the legal system Angus and faces up to five years in prison for each charge if he is convicted. 33 states, including Washington or reporting an increased number of cove in 19 cases. NBC's Amy Robach spoke with the nation's top infectious disease expert, Dr Anthony found because we get into A fall in the winter. You really want the level of community spread to be as low as you possibly get it as more people as the weather gets colder here in this country and most parts of the country. People are going to be going indoors there. Certainly parts of the country that is doing well. But as you mentioned correctly, there are states that are starting to show up tick in cases and even some increase in hospitalizations in some states. And I hope not, but we very well might start seeing increases, and that's that's really something that I had discussed some time ago. There's something you don't want to be in a position like that, as the weather starts getting colds who really need to intensify? The public health measures that we talk about all the time. I'm curious with all that you just said, and where we are now is a nation What you make of Florida's decision, Tio ese. Those restrictions, opening up bars and restaurants. That is very concerning to me. I mean, I have. We have always said that myself and Dr Deborah Berg's was the coordinator of the task force that that is something we really need to be careful about, because when you're dealing with community spread And you have the kind of congregate setting where people get together, particularly without masks. You're really asking for trouble. Now is the time actually to double down a bit. And I don't mean close when I say that. People get concerned that we're talking about shutting down. We're not talking about shutting anything down. We're talking but common sense type of public health measures that we've been talking about all along, so we're not in great shape to be heading into these colder months. You said no one's talking about a shutdown. But what would it take for you to actually or eventually advocate for one again? You know, I really would like to not go there because it causes so many collateral issues and problems. And when people see that, you know they're exhausted from that, and they're pushing back. So what I mean, obviously, if things really explode, you'd have to consider that. But we want to do everything we possibly can to avoid an absolute shutdown. In other words, get the cases of the control by the common sense types of things that we've been talking about all along those public health measures, doctor patching. We are nearing a very grim milestone nearly one million deaths globally from this pandemic, the World Health Organization says. It would not be impossible to double that number before we get a vaccine. What's your take on that potential predictions? Well, you know, I got to be careful with potential predictions because they tend to really sometimes inappropriately alarm people, But you've got to take it very seriously. The numbers globally. Very seriously. If you're going to try which you should try to open up the economy and get things back to normal. If you do it in a prudent way, and a prudent way means focus on the things that are important. You could open up businesses. You could do things like that. But when you start congregating at bars without masks or congregate settings where people are crowded together indoors without masks. That's asking for trouble. That's Dr Anthony Fauci, talking with a bee sees Amy Robach..

"Saying it's probably going to be the wanton endangerment. And if the prosecutor Mr Cameron, the attorney general, besides that homicide charge is appropriate, and I think it's going to be the manslaughter in the second degree against detective against the one officer out of the six who was in the hallway, firing indiscriminately 10 shots, but If none of those rounds struck Briana Taylor and none of them the fatal rounds, then what? Well, I think that kind of takes it out of the realm and of the homicide of I'll tell you. What if that happens, and I'm not Detective Hankinson drench lawyer. I'm all over that. You know, I believe it is closing argument to a jury. The ballistics you've shown that my client did not fire around into Miss Daler that caused her death. How could he be guilty of any type of Homicide events. It's It's a really tough one for Mr Cameron in this case is gonna be interesting to see Mike Allen, former Hamlin County prosecutor course a weekend host here on 700 WLW in talking about The grand jury in Louisville. We're expecting a decision and I heard maybe today, but it could be any time this week. Certainly this week, I would think it's going to come down and Louisville is bracing because the entire cities on lock down right now, literally a state of emergency, and it's Ah, It's terrific because you know, you wonder what is going to spark civil unrest there again. We went through that horrible episode down there and What is it that the community? Why, if it's anything less and murder one, which doesn't seem a possibility, Mike, I wonder what happens? Well, I don't know. I mean, they're obviously getting ready for it. And I do know that that In a situation like this prosecutor's When, when a announcement is imminent, they will communicate with law enforcement. Not not so much on what there. But the charge was or what? The indictment Wass, but it's pretty much along the lines of a God. You know, we're gonna announce this tomorrow or the next day, you better get ready, but you know, and that's what this looks like. Right now is what you're saying. And that's what this looks like. In Louisville right now, with all vacation cancelled, and the National Guard is standing by and all that stuff it looks like we're expected Announcement the next 48 hours. Absolutely and could come as early as today and they're getting ready for but this whole phenomena and it's kind of a recent phenomena of If a prosecutor indict on something that AH group of people doesn't like then to take to the streets and civil disobedience and perhaps other things. That's not right. I mean, that's not the way our system is supposed to work. We've got the rule of law here or at least we used to in this country. But you know it is what it is. And you gotta be ready for it. But This one, probably within the last 20 years slowly and looking at this. This is the toughest call that I've ever seen. That may, innit? Yeah, such an interesting case, too, because you know it's a no knock warrant, which was granted. Ah Ah court Now I think what's going to swing this and you know we could talk about this for hours. Mike is I hate to cut you off. I apologize, but is the fact that according to what they had 12 neighbors around and and no one, except one guy heard them announced police and he said he was very specific and said I only heard them say police once and it might have been after they kicked the door in and so in the grand jury gets to hear witnesses they can call witnesses. They can call all 12. All 12 neighbors saying, Hey, we didn't hear anything until all hell broke loose. No announcement. No, not everyone's all quiet. It's a no, not great, but I thought under the order, it said, Hey, you still gotta knock and announce If that's the case, and what happens if I did see in reading about this, that that prosecutor Tom Wine who I talked about who recused himself, he was quoted as saying. I think early on in this thing that he believed the cops announce themselves three times. So it's a factual issue, but it's not determinative. You know what? That what they should be charged with? I mean, if you think about it a year, the defense attorney, you look at it. From this perspective. The cops were shot at. I mean, Kenneth Walker, who was Brianna's Boyfriend did fire at the police officers. They were shot at. They fired back and plots they had, presumably or they were acting under the assumption that they had a valid warrant. Right. So I mean room. There's there's a defence right there so No matter what these guys were indicted for, if anything, and I think they probably will be for something, it's gonna be a top one prove beyond a reasonable doubt in court. It's so difficult because you know, here's the boyfriend, Briana Taylor in thinking that while this is my ex, who's a drug dealer kicking my door in Trying to get it minor me or whatever. And so he said, Who is it? Who is it in the according the boyfriend. He said, Listen, I didn't hear any of the neighbors back him up on that one. Andi, I wonder if that evidence is enough to go. Hey, maybe the police weren't forthright. Or maybe they Decided they weren't going to knock and announce and I get why we have no knock warrants because you don't want them running out the back or flushing the drugs down the toilet for that reason, And so the cops thought for sure they had on this is part of a much bigger sweep, too. Because that boyfriend I guess they kicked in five doors elsewhere in Louisville that night in Brianna tell us is the six because it was a You know, it was a coordinated effort to get this guy off the street because he was involved in five drug houses on graded those No problem. This one is like, well, we extended but he might not be there. But you know he's keeping stuff there. And Briana Taylor's boyfriend, Briana, Tender thought, my God, it's the boyfriend kick in the door. And so as soon as that door crashed in, he shot, the officer thought I were under fire. We returned fire. It's It's a horrible set of circumstances it is and you know you could. You could narrow it down. It's a cluster. You know what it really is in this situation. There's so many things to talk about. I mean, the scenario that you just outlined. You know, Mr Walker's there. I mean, he's not. He's not bailed. I not the guy they're looking for. You know, And he doesn't know. I mean, I think he reasonably could have believed that, you know, so well, and he was charged with attempted murder. But it was, I think wisely with with an option to pick it up later. You have a castle that I mean, you're in your house in an off that protects you from police entry, and you know.

Kentucky grand jury decides against homicide charges for police in Breonna Taylor's death

"Good afternoon. Thank you for joining us today. I know that many. In Louisville and across the Commonwealth. In country have been anxiously awaiting the completion of our investigation. into the death of Miss Riana. Taylor? Six months at the Briana Taylor was shot and killed by police in her Louisville apartment. Kentucky grand jury decided that none of the officers involved would be held responsible for death. On Wednesday Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced the grand jury decision to charge one former officer Brent Hankinson with first degree wants an endangerment. He's accused of firing into nearby apartments and endangering tillers neighbors. But Attorney General. Cameron. said the other two officers involved Johnson mattingly and miles cosgrove would not face any charges. According to Kentucky Law. Use of force by mattingly and Cosgrove, was justified to protect themselves. This justification bars us from pursuing criminal charges. And Miss Brianna Taylor's death. Twenty six year old Briana Taylor was killed on March Thirteenth when officers from the Louisville Police Department burst into apartment with a battering ram during a botched drug raid. Policy announce themselves but according to her boyfriend they didn't So he fired a shot hitting officer in the leg. Then, officers returned fire and struck Taylor Multiple Times. Till his family had been hoping for a minimum charge of manslaughter. But Attorney General Cameron was a Republican and the states first black attorney general said, the outcome was appropriate. The decision before my office as the Special Prosecutor in this case was not to decide the loss of miss. Taylor's life was a tragedy. The answer to that question is unequivocally. Yes. In response, the city of Louisville rose up. Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer had been bracing for this moment. When Tuesday a state of emergency was declared to prepare for potential unrest? Police barricades and the judge ordered federal courthouse closed this week in anticipation of a decision. On Wednesday, the mirror announced a nine pm curfew still protests spread through downtown Louisville, last night. In some moments, the scene turn violent to police. Officers were shot about one hundred people were arrested and protests spread throughout the country to to places like Denver, Portland, in Buffalo.

"I know you're somewhat garden your comments, but it was good to hear from somebody related related to Brent Hankerson and get his Perspective, But the experts have said this case is eminently defensible and others ones have said that he's got to be charged with murder. And somehow, lastly, LeBron James, who is not your concern whatsoever. Said that a wall receives justice but not Briana Taylor. That somehow the facts don't matter in this case is everything that Detective Hankinson dead throughout this entire ordeal was an authorized by law. Did he act illegally when hey, went there toe to have a a warrant to be served. It was not a no knock warrant. Despite the media intentions Brown did. Taylor's home was not breached. And that everything he did he thought he did. He did nothing criminally wrong. Is that fair to say that's fair to say. I don't think he did anything criminally wrong, and we will have a trial to determine that all rights to Matthews Once again. That is, according to both the police who made the raid as well as a witness who heard it all go down. And we were told those details yesterday again. The charges here by the grand jury were forjust one former detective Brett Hankinson, who was indicted on three counts of first degree wanton endangerment for endangering someone in a nearby apartment. This is Not a murder charge. This is not a manslaughter charge. Rianna. Taylor ended up dying in a shootout because her boyfriend first opened fire on police, the police responded. By opening fire in his direction in that dark apartment. Now, Of course, it's tragedy for anybody to die, especially under those circumstances. But that did occur and a grand jury found that the police use of force there appeared to be defensible enough to avoid avoid charges in her death. But that wasn't enough for the crowd yesterday. Immediately right outside in Louisville mob descended on a U haul truck loaded with shields and signs and water bottles all brought in In orderto arm, the rioters and that's what happened pretty quickly as we saw Windows smashed, inspires burning, and it all culminated last night in this cut 10 listen to this sound as darkness descended on Louisville. "I am very concerned about the safety of our officers. Obviously, we've had two officers shot tonight, and that is very serious. It's a very dangerous condition. I think that the safety of our officers in the community we serve but most important Most of the demonstrations in Louisville were peaceful, but police say there were nearly 50 arrests As of 11. PM, protesters said they wanted to express their anger and frustration over what they call the miscarriage of justice. Protests were sparked by the announcement yesterday that no police officers would be charged directly for the deadly shooting of Briana Taylor. Taylor was killed in marches officer served a no knock warrant on our home in Louisville. The warrant was for a drug investigation connected to her ex boyfriend. One neighbor reported hearing police knock and announce their presence before breaking down the apartment door. But Taylor's boyfriend said he did not hear police announced the raid and fired at officers believing it was a home invasion. Officers fired their guns repeatedly in response. One officer Brett Hankinson, is charged with three counts of wanton endangerment in connection to the raid, but that was for shots fired into other apartments, not Taylor's. Kentucky's attorney general, Daniel Cameron, explained that under Kentucky law, the two officers were shot who shot Taylor were justified because her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, Fired at them first. I know that not everyone will be satisfied with the charges we've reported today. My team set out to investigate the circumstances surrounding Ms Taylor's death. I did it with a singular go in mind pursuing the truth. Detective Brett Hankinson was charged with putting Briana Taylor's neighbors life at risk. He was booked and released on a $15,000 bond. Hankinson was fired over the summer. A federal civil rights investigation is still pending. The attorney representing Taylor's family called the decision another example of a system that doesn't value African Americans. Systematic racism..

Citywide curfew for Louisville goes into effect, one officer indicted in Breonna Taylor case

"Curfew has been in place in Louisville Kentucky since nine PM tonight. Kentucky's Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced that a grand jury has returned no criminal charges against the to Louisville police officers who shot and killed Brianna Taylor Grand Jury did return a felony charge of wanton endangerment against a third officer who was outside of retailers apartment building when he fired ten shots that luckily hit no one. Cal, Perry is covering the situation for MSNBC tonight on the streets of Louisville and he will join us in a moment what happened to Brianna Taylor during the police raid of her Louisville apartment that left her dead. From police bullet. was enough to get one of the officers involved fired three months ago. It was enough to force the city of Louisville to agreed last week to pay a settlement of twelve million dollars to Brianna Taylor family for the city agrees was the wrongful death of Brianna Taylor. But it was not enough to bring criminal charges against the two officers who shot Brianna Taylor according to Kentucky's Attorney General Daniel Cameron who today revealed the findings of a grand jury but was guided in those findings by the Attorney General. What happened when police fired their guns? That night is what happens most of the time when police fire their guns in the line of duty? Their target most police bullets miss their targets most of the time. And sometimes, that's a good thing. And sometimes that's a tragic thing. In this case, it was actually both the police were aiming at whoever fired a gun at them when they burst through the apartment door in the middle of the night bjarne tellers boyfriend says, they didn't identify themselves as police officers in the dark. He grabbed his gun and fired his bullet hit and wounded officer. Jonathan Mattingly when Mattingly Officer Miles Cosgrove fired in the direction of that gunshot they missed. Kenneth Walker they fired twenty two bullets between them. Between the two of them. And they missed their target, every one of those bullets, their target. But six of those bullets hit Brianna Taylor. One of the bullets fired by officer. Cosgrove was the shot that killed her according to an FBI crime climb crime lab analysis made public by Kentucky's Attorney General today everything about the police work I just described to. You was judged to be wrong by the city of Louisville and that is why the city settled the wrongful death lawsuit brought by Brianna tell his family last week for twelve million dollars the city of Louisville, and that settlement also promised police reforms to Bernardo tellers family. That is a formal legal statement by the city of Louisville. The killing Ron Taylor was wrong but was it criminal? That was the question for the jury. We don't know what evidence was presented to the grand jury. As of today, we only know that the grand jury did not find a crime in the killing of Brianna Taylor, but they did find criminal conduct at the scene by a third officer. The best description I've heard of what officer Brett Hankinson did. Is On the New York Times podcast daily which describes what he did after he ran out of the apartment building and was actually out in the parking lot outside of Briana Taylor's apartment. and. Keep begins blindly firing through Brianna window and her patio door both of which covered with blinds so he had no way of seeing inside The bullets from bread hang concerns gone. We believe are the ones that ripped not just through parliament but also through one of the apartments that was in the back where a young woman who was pregnant and her five year old child were asleep in separate bedrooms. And he got fired for that. And those were the shots that when they missed their target. That was a good thing. A very good thing because they didn't hit anyone ten police bullets fired into an apartment building where they could have killed a five-year-old child ten police bullets that could have kill bet, Charles pregnant mother, and those ten police bullets luckily missed everyone. At that apartment building today a grand jury in Louisville, decided that those ten police bullets were criminal. The grand jury charged Officer Hampton with the felony of Wanton Endangerment Kentucky Law says a person's guilty of wanton endangerment when circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life he wantonly engages in conduct which creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person and that according to the Kentucky Attorney General and the grand jury impaneled is the only crime was committed when thirty two police bullets were fired. After Lou police broke into Brianna tellers apartment in the middle of the night.

"For a little bit later on in the hour, will be joined by represented back Gates from Florida to talk about his new book. Plus, we'll be joined by Jim Caviezel is the star of Infidel and also The star of the upcoming sequel to the Passion of the Christ. He'll stop by to talk about those movies. But first we begin with the latest from Louisville. So Louisville Police have announced that basically the curfew in the entire city starting at nine PM in anticipation of riots. And Louisville grand jury has now indicted on Ly one officer in the Briana Taylor police shooting and that officers not been indicted for murder. Former detective Brett Hand contain was indicted on three counts of first degree wanton endangerment. Now the reason that nobody was indicted for murder is because this wasn't a murder. Meaning that there was no violation of of law. Implicit in effectuating a no knock warrant and then when you are fired upon firing back The reason that wanton endangerment was charged. It's a Class D felony. It carries a penalty of 1 to 5 years in prison. The charges, said that Hankinson wantonly shotgun into at least an adjoining apartment. So that means that really was not about Briana Taylor being shot because again she was in the apartment in fairly close proximity to her boyfriend who was firing on police. It was because The shots that were fired, were fired at I guess that other walls or something. Basically, it sounds like the prosecutors. Were firmly convinced they had to charge somebody or the city would burn. The judges in a $15,000 cash Bond for Hankerson award has been issued for him for his arrest. None of the none of the officers were charged over the actual situation. Briana Taylor, particularly Protesters immediately began chanting No justice! No peace because nothing says justice quite like a mob outside, baying for a particular result, and then when they don't get it, then they suggested they're going to do violence. The announcement came after Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's office presented his findings to the grand jury earlier this week. It seems been investigating the tailor shooting since May. As I mentioned, Mayor Greg Fischer has invoked a 72 hour curfew, effective Wednesday night from from 9 P.m. to 6 30 am Last week, the city announced a $12 million settlement with Taylor's family. It includes more than a dozen police reforms, including revision of how no knock warrants are actually used. Taylor's death have been show has been showcased in news reports in public statements by celebrities athletes. Here's the reality about Briana Taylor case. Police had a well Reason warrant to enter the apartment, No knock the reason being. They had information that she was operating, or at least her apartment was being used as part of a drug ring by one of her boyfriends. There was 39 pages of evidence to that effect. She's on tape talking to that man about His involvement in the drug trade. I went to effectuate the warrant. They apparently knocked on the door despite it being a no knock warrant. The the boy current boyfriend inside the apartment, then fired at the police officers when they came into the apartment. They fired back on him. They killed Briana Taylor. It's a tragedy. It is not a crime, so the actual crime apparently had really nothing to do with Briana Taylor. It had to do with this particular officer firing in wild directions when the door burst open, according to the study. Done by the Louisville police. One of the officers, the boyfriend man, and Walker fired a single shot from his Glock handgun. That actually hit one of the officers in the fi severing.

"Issue simply because it's so sad and I mean I really don't have any answers for it. It makes the police look bad. And and I'm tired of making the police look bad, but Michael Bauer's joining us now on NewsRadio 1000. Katie, Okay, He's our national correspondent, and Michael Louisville, Kentucky. I'm talking about the Briana Taylor case. And a grand jury has been summoned to look into it now. Well, yeah, though there is officially been if you will. The pulling together of a grand jury has been impaneled to investigate the shooting. Now there are some delays in getting that done and moving forward here, But we do know that yesterday, Louisville, Kentucky agreed to a historic $12 million settlement with Briana Taylor's family. We know the 26 year old was shot to death in her own apartment by police while they were executing a late night, no knock warrant in a narcotics investigation, got the wrong place and ended up killing this 26 year old. That said, We heard from Briana Taylor's mother yesterday to make a Palmer that this Settlement while fantastic and also by the way, she complimented Louisville for being a great partner during this entire process, because they've done a lot over the last six month time frame that there it's just the first step in getting justice for her daughter, who was shot and killed in March. During this no knock rate, now the city of Louisville. Has done things like they've created an established a housing credit program as incentive for officers police officers to live in the areas that they serve their using social workers to provide support on certain police runs and the requiring Police commanders to review and approved search warrants before seeking a judicial approval on any level plus the the City Council passed Brianna's law, which is aimed at banning these no knock search warrant, so they've done a lot over the past six months. But the question still comes into play here. The officers that were involved in the shooting specifically the one officer Brett Hankinson, who was the one who was fired in late June by the police office. For as they put it wantonly and blindly firing 10 rounds into her apartment. There have been no charges brought up on any of the three officers, including that one. So the question is Well, six months We've seen a city do a lot. We haven't seen any charges at all brought on by the attorney General Daniel Cameron, what's going on? Why's that happening? We know he's conducting his own investigation. We know the FBI is running a parallel investigation, and we know now that the grand jury has technically been impaneled to conduct an investigation themselves. So what's happening? And why is this taking so long? That seems to be the big question at this point. Usually when that happens when you are when it's taking a long time and not a lot of information's coming out. It tells me that the district attorney has a case. Yeah, yeah, possibly for sure. Look, if Let's say you're the district attorney. You've got all the evidence that literally probably hasn't changed in the last two months. There hasn't been much of a difference at all in the evidence that you had from the initial incident till then. If you're having trouble making that decision, you take it to a grand jury. Because of the stranger is gonna have 12 people there. At least nine of them would have to say that there was sufficient evidence to believe a crime was committed if there was going to be an indictment, So if you weren't sure or you didn't want to make that call. You could certainly that the grand jury do it. They could then make a decision on indicting the officers on any level of homicide from reckless homicide to murder or You can charge him with wanton endangerment, meaning that at least one of the officers knowingly acted in a way that created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury. Okay, you don't want to do it. Let somebody else do it, but Where Why is this taking so long? We're talking six months now. We've seen other cases across this country where there was a shooting and charges were filed within a month period of time or it's six months here, and that's where the pressure is starting to come down. Not just Within Louisville, not just within the family of Rianna Taylor and the lawyers for Briana Taylor, but also across the country. People are wondering why is this taking so long? This doesn't seem right well and the fact that a grand jury's been convened, it sounds to me like the D A. Wants to make sure he's being very thorough. Yeah, You would certainly want that to happen. Look through this all this very racially charged situation. We know that's the case. So you want to make sure that whatever investigation you're doing if you're bringing charges, or if you're not going to bring charges, you want to make sure you've got enough to support whatever that is that you're bringing to the table, and that makes sense. Six month seems like more than a sufficient amount of time to be ableto have ready to go. And the challenge here is what you don't want to do is not make a decision. That's the other part of it. You're right. It is so challenged right now is so racially charged but not making a decision may be worse than making the wrong decision. And the stars the officer that this seems to be the focus of this I mean, what charges could be brought? Would it be a MB? What is an involuntary manslaughter? Or or would would it be as as brutalism? Murder. Reckless homicide could be straight to murder if you wanted to go that way. Then according to what we are understanding and again, we're waiting to get all of the details on the case from the attorney general, But what we understand is that you know this This no knock you have that kind of Ah, warrant When you go in, it's it's It's a risky situation to begin with. A No knock basically says police aren't going to announce they were in this particular case. It was in the middle of the night as most of these are in the middle of the night, they broke into the apartment that they thought was of this narcotics dealer turned out that I was actually about 10 miles away. This wasn't the right place and also is a big mistake. But in that process, Briana Taylor allegedly heard the police breaking into her apartment was frightened and scared..

Let me summarize all you. You'll way of getting into the business is buying it not billing it, and for many reasons, of course, the number of hours that he can put on the business and then the business you rented evaluation x number of times kind of calculation. That's good and it of course, went through the natural ups and downs of the business and I think do if I could summarize. Where you came from your Ticky Guy Right and you bought a business that you could work on if something goes wrong as opposed to a purely entrepeneur person who just bought this business when the algorithm went down when the rendering issues that he talked about not working out that person could not have on the business is I right better said? Yeah I'd say the intricate is very tact dependent. So you know I even I keep contact a little bit with the previous owner had a huge outage maybe three months afterwards and he's like I'm so glad I sold to an engineer not. Product manager type because they would just had no idea how to fix it exactly, and then you have to spend money on somebody else doing it, and then that eats into the profits and all that. Good right. So let's other part of the business because I'm talking about the different aspects it's like somebody in a buys houses of real estate investment if. They're dependent handyman to do it. It eats the prophets, but if you can do the work yourself, then of course, it's it's more. That's funny. The the week that close on Inter cave. So I took last June off I actually we also had a tenant move out on one of my rental properties and so I completely redid the floors the drywall. Painted the whole house. While I did that during the day and then was working on intricate with the seller at in the evening. So I was doing both of those at one time twin destig-. Okay. So a will This is a fantastic interview. hugging people know more about you and which would they go and just wrap up the Ovadia cast off Casper that information. Yeah I mean I, think many male if you learn your ABC's which sounded cool in seventh grade when I made it at the time, it was hotmail announced g mail. So learn your ABC's Jamile Dot Com. "Hey this is a business that can make money Just sort of. Sit what i was looking for. Okay so intro. Dot com want you bought so what is intricate dot com. I know it said youtube. Intra maker so for somebody who who doesn't know much about it. I mean what is it about. Yes so huge. And it's continuing to grow Everybody you know. I think they've done Surveys with high school students and the number one job that everybody wants right now. it's no longer like astronaut. it's like you know gamer. Streamer or youtuber So there's there's constantly new people coming onto the platform you know if you wanna brand yourself or brand your business on youtube You may have a logo or tag or some sort of like alemi subscribe And if you don't know after facts or Apple motion or there's a couple of software packages that do this and you're gonna have some sort of like cool particle Logo reveal or announcement like title card animation. there's not really like an easy way to do that. The tools are very expensive and in there are quite a bit of knowledge to put something like that together. So intricate does is. It's got a library of about one hundred templates Some of them just have a logo. Some have like a logo subtitles. Some just text only you can go and pick which template you like upload your logo change from colors changed tax intellectually fired off to render server On sex so. I have a web server in a render service so far enough to the render server render a sort of crappy small preview for eighty to seventy back to you If you like it you can pay five bucks for seven. Twenty p or ten bucks for ten eighty p and it'll take about an hour to to to to render at an hd. Okay so how long is this intro. Video up to have some even up to thirty seconds that are really more like micro ad spot. But i'd say the sweet spot is probably in the four a ten second range. Oh i see so for ten seconds range in. it's so essentially. You're doing a setup of the video and that's how you're making money correct. It's and it's not like a perpetual license either. It's like a pay per render so it's not like you know some of my competitors are more like a subscription fee and you you pay you know ten twenty bucks a month and then.
