Operation Julie

"The dates was friday march. Twenty fifth nineteen seventy seven. The location was lens. Brace sports and social club house. Teddington greater london uk. The police briefing was being held in a small room in the pavilion. The was tense with excitement. The officers present had been working toward this moment for almost two years and it was time to raid the suspected lsd laboratory at twenty. Three more road hampton wick kingston-upon-thames a short drive away from the briefing location. The rate had been brought forward because it was known. The suspects at seymour road with flying out of heathrow the next day detective inspector dick lee led the briefing and all present hung on his every word. Small writing group consisted of several operation. Julie detectives including stephen bentley and eric wright who had been undercover in rural wales on the wider inquiry. Also present were a small group of scenes of crime officers who were going to search the house in gather evidence. The officers left the briefing and took up position. The raiding party had split up some went to the front door while others went to the rear of the house. That was inductions. It was eight. Oh five pm exactly and detective constables. Bentley and right in the groove that clambered over offense at the back of the lodge detached house as the to approach the french windows stevenson to greenwich his mate and colleague. Eric who was alongside him. There was a cry of geronimo. In eric's unmistakable gloucestershire ebba. Then one of the offices sworn garage bar breaking the glass windows. That was shouts. It police stay still. Don't move but officers could hit people running scurrying around like giant mice. It was mayhem for one. It was a little scary. what would they find. Would there be resistance. Oh violence what would happen next for detective constable stephen bentley. It was a life changing experience and it all started with a phone call. He received from detective inspector. Dick lee the operational commander of the newly formed. Secret of julie squad back in april one thousand nine hundred seventy six. The following podcast is brought to you by true crime investigators. uk but who are they. Joan was a police officer for thirty years working locally and nationally as detective. Sally was also a police officer. For twelve years and then retrained as a lawyer and practiced in criminal law now both retired and review cases of interest. Some sold some undetected throughout this series. They'll discuss the cases. They're reviewing and interview relevant parties including police officers suspects witnesses and experts. The next case for review is counted drug investigation operation. Julie which took place in the mid seventies and an interview with one of the undercover agents involved in investigation steven bentley. Just like say welcome to everybody and all of our listeners. Whether you'll new to his own not and we just wanna say that. We're really pleased with the progress of the series. We've been so well received without a lot of interest and with hudson good reviews as well. So what do you think of the response john. Well we're absolutely astounded as the worldwide coverage that we received and the fact that we now talk into all the podcasters in the crime community. Australia america all parts of the world in fact. And we're just can't believe how we've taken off and mainly because of the lockdown of course technologies sort of come to the fore everybody's now on skype and other types of media which is fantastic. Doesn't it it has. Yeah i'm we've been am dragged into the twenty first century whether we like it or not so with within our podcast series. We want to cover all kinds of serious crime. Not not just the murders but in particular. We've got an interest in undercover police. In way we're interested in the work that undercover officers do when the pressure that that brings and then potentially the danger that that brings with that kind of work and with that in mind. We decided to bring operation. Julie to the podcast. Both of us had read a book called undercover operation jubilee. The inside story and that was really fascinating book written by one officer who was involved in operation julie and his name's steven bentley. So we sort of conducted some research around. That didn't wait. What we found was that there was a detective inspector. Dick lee in thames valley drug squad and he was putting together his sort of annual report. That a ba- late nineteen seventy four and he realized that there was some kind of anomaly in the his undercover officers. Were very active in the pop festival scene and regularly they were being offered amounts of ls stay and considerable amounts of lsd.

Hampton Lintorn Catlin Co-Founder and CEO of Veue, 'It's So Much More Than Gaming'

"I'm curious. What are your ambitions with view view. Sorta it is a live video. Commerce company so sort of focusing on a lot of these companies are doing sort of like. Qvc from home kind of thing. We've actually sort of. It's turned into more of a say in art form so it's a live video platform so think twitch or something like that and trying to make it much more than gaming so you know my my ambition that people can connect around their interests around the world and feel like they are sharing something together even though their remote is the world becomes increasingly separated and i really want to sort of build a positive feeling. Yeah glue is. The word used to bring people together about the things that they love. And so that's what. I'm trying to do with view it's video streaming which is a the wild west to be honest partly cargo cult. I could talk about that for a long time. But on the other side of the product rate video streaming is coming in the maturation business rules around logging in or comments or test. I wanted to to make those as you know. The the risks should be on the things that are different about your business or your technology so obviously the rails app is not handling the video streaming. Because that's not what it's focused on. That's not one of the powers of rails but everything else all the business logic all the rules and moderation and all that all those things you have to build in with the platform. That's that's where. I think rails once again really shines. So what does the tech stack look like. So it's rails for the web sort of layer using stimulus. Which i sort of i've been doing a lot of people react for many years now and decided to give stimulus to try and have definitely more. I've really enjoyed it but it it is. It does have its quirks. I guess would say and you know really what we're trying to do is use. The power of web. Ep is so there's been an this. Were stimulus comes in. One of the strengths is that like react. Tends to have the opinion that it wants to isolate you from the browser as much as possible. Like even when you're writing. Html you're not writing html you're writing a representation of different down that gets you know computed and dipped in kind of trying to isolate you from from the browser. And i think it's interesting about stimulus and specifically take on. This stuff has been. The browser has good stuff in it and he kind of missed that whole train. Which i don't think this really good but coming out the other side like i think these things all come in swings almost like of fads. I usually browser no the browsers. Great come back to it. And i think we're definitely gonna swing back. I think i've been discovering just how much you can do in the browser web amazing audio context and you know even css these days horrible anymore or still a little bit. But you know it's much better than it's been in the past. I think there's just you know just even the video like web. Sorry the power of web components. The video tags and i just indian is filled with so many presents that the w3c's been regular for years and browser vendors have been working on all pretty stable. And if you if you want to target the ninety seven percents browsers that support all these things and you don't care about the three percent as much. There's just so much cool stuff to do there so honestly the stack is rails with post grads pretty straightforward these days. We're using a service called mucks to help with the actual video pipeline itself and then mostly stimulus controllers and a whole lot of cool stuff going in the browser.

Did Alec Baldwin Know about Hilaria?

"Did alec baldwin really know and i. I don't really know. I really. I think i think he's a weird guy You know he was awful to kim bassey basing her his wife he was. You know awful to the daughter. When she was about thirteen is the famous. You know voice message that he left her. They were going through very very contentious divorce. And a lot of lawyers involved a lot of custody battles between alec and kim. And i think it was about thirteen and i think either she flaked on their time alone or didn't wanna go over to the dad's house which happens a lot when kids are about that age and their parents are separated and he left her. The message saying your little pig. And i guess kim did submit it in her divorce findings and it went public. And i mean there's even a youtube video of door the explorer like with the voice of it. I remember my sons went saw. It went very viral since then ireland. A very pretty girl also very popular and instagram. She is an adult now. kim has really not been acting. I haven't seen her in much. She's sixty seven years old. I did not realize that she was actually older than alec But i don't know what she's up to but when this story broke down a couple days after christmas who was the girlfriend. That is like kim coming over with a bottle of wine and let us fuck and talk even if she didn't care about hillary under five kids and that you know because obviously she was nicer daughter ireland. But there's just got to be some satisfaction in knowing that your ex husband's wife is been proven to be full of shit as far as this still doesn't mean she's not a nice person. A charitable person. But this is weird in a nutshell. She grew up in boston. She went to high school here. Her parents are white her. She's relatives all the way from like the revolutionary war or whatever. There is no spanish in her blood at all. The dad got into teaching some spanish studies. The data and the mom who are still married moved to spain in two thousand and eleven. And i think the brother might have gone there as well and visited or whatever and she went on in so many interviews so many things to say that her family lives in spain so in one interview. They're like now wait. What happens like i came here. I came here when i was nineteen to go to school at nyu. And the two female interviewers are like. Oh from spain yes. My family lives in spain. now. She didn't say i was born in spain and then she tried to say in correcting that when she didn't think it was going to be a big deal like the first day this broke. She did an instagram Tv like right to camera and then she took it down and that's when she said What i meant was. I moved from boston to nyu when i was nineteen because all these people went to high school with hillary in boston so i thought that was really interesting now. They met her and alec met. According to. everything's been researched. Is he walked into a restaurant. New york was there and she was there and she was speaking perfect spanish to a waiter and he said i must tell you and she said you must know me now. I think he just was like loved that little sexy spanish. You know much like a selma hayek. Who was his love. Interest in thirty rock for in two thousand eight two thousand and nine. He met hillary in two thousand and eleven. And i think that just was kinda like hot. It's like it's like the couple. Let's see we're here. They are getting married. I'm looking on my youtube for those of you. That like to watch on youtube all the photos from their wedding and she kept very much with the spanish theme. She has this long traditional spanish. Veil that covers your head. It's very you know it's from that type of style and they. I think they had a spanish speaking priest. They found eight. Spanish church catholic church in in new york to get married in and she did interviews forty people from my family over from spain so it was crazy. You can imagine how crazy it was with the spaniards here. Well those people are just people that live in their vacation home that like retired there and came over and then she said oh my god and my relatives there like how do we say your new. New name is baldwin baldwin. They don't their spanish. They don't know how to save baldwin. I mean it just continues on alec. Baldwin goes on david letterman and starts imitating his wife spanish accent and he goes and it's not being racist because she is from spain and she you know and so he's doing he's playing into it and i just think people sitting back loved it and the more that they loved it and encourage it. I think he just went along with it. I don't know that he ever really asked her about her high school life. He might be one of those guys. That doesn't really ask. I don't know. I ask a lot of questions. But you know. I just interviewed emily simpson from real housewives of o see and. She said she's never really asked her husband about his mormonism and they've been together twelve years so i don't know how other couples work but i think he loved the package so kelly just said what do you think when he met the parents and they didn't have an accent. I don't know that he really cared to get to know the parents a lot of you know there. He's an older guy. He has his wife. She's popping out babies. She's really sweet to him. She's down to boehner many time she can whip up a nice meal. I dunno and you know he has to. He's one of these guys that works a lot and he kind of has to. I don't think he's enormously wealthy as a star you know. He needs to take the. He does like a show with celebrity. Some game show. I forgot the name of it to the truth or to tell the truth. I don't know what it and he said. I take paycheck like i. There's jobs i take straight up. I need the paycheck. I've got you know six kids including ireland. And you know home in the hamptons home in new york i think he has really expensive lifestyle and But i think he totally loves and loves what she was. and i don't know i just. I don't know that. I think she was kind of used to presenting herself. Like that was starting to get into it and then like on their first date you know she said oh for the first five weeks we just held hands and then you know five months into the relationship. We got an apartment together and so it's just fascinating. I want to see a movie made about this. I really do of when do you go. When do i stop. Or for some people like madonna. Who picked up an english accent. When she was living in england did she just become so used to it that she kind of forgot her old way of speaking. Like if i had to do an impression of drew barrymore war. I could do her for an entire week and then i could. I do for a month. Yeah could do for year. Probably and then. Maybe i'll just forget if it was part of my life if i had to do this just like when somebody became becomes an actor in a really intense movie. They sometimes say i'm not going to get out of this character the entire three months. I'm doing this movie. I'm going to be like this one. It's break time at lunch. I'm gonna. That's what i'm gonna do because that's how i do it so i don't know it just fascinating and then at first ireland defended her and i'm so sick of people bullying you know and being cruel. What do you care and stay at people's lives. You don't know well. I think it's one thing to be an actor and you put yourself out there as an actor but in this day and age. If you're an actor or television personality that also goes and makes a huge presence on instagram. Then i really think you cannot bitch because if you're going to open your life on instagram if you're going to profit from instagram than people do know you those nine hundred thousand people that follow you do feel like they know you and they feel deceived

For whom should TC Williams, Maury schools be renamed?

"Public School students have until January 8th two turnover, essays or posters with their ideas for new names for T C. Williams High School and Matthew Maury Elementary School, which are being taken down because of their links to racist pasts. Student suggestions for names will be posted on the school board website. And then the community will vote or offer other names. Director of the Alexandria Black History Museum, Audrey Davis says there's no shortage of candidates. There's certainly I think wealth of people that they could consider whether they're educators are civic and community activists. Davis thinks of Mary Peak who illegally taught slaves and later helped found Hampton University. Also Henry Bailey, a man sold into slavery in Texas, who walked home to Alexandria and later established Northern Virginia Church's name. Suggestions will eventually be paired 23 per school for the school board to vote on in April,

Flawed Facial Recognition Leads To Arrest and Jail for New Jersey Man, New York

"So this is, uh, issue that I think is something that has because here has been so busy with so many things. It's an issue that has slipped by most people, but it's not slipped by Cashmere Hill reporter with The New York Times We've spoken on Cairo nights. She is now joining us here on Seattle. Morning News Kashmir DYNAMITE Story in The New York Times about facial recognition technology. Can we let's start at the beginning of the story. Can you tell us a little bit about who is Nigeria Parks? And why does he matter in this big discussion about facial recognition technology? I feel like you're part that he's in New Jersey. Man. He's 33 years old. You started a grocery store. He now works making kitchen cabinets, and last year he was arrested. Um, for A crime he didn't commit on. See there was Where do I start to know there was a shoplifting incident at a Hampton Inn and in New Jersey, and this guy came in. He stole some candy. The cops were called When the cops got there, He apologized that he would pay for the candy. He gave the cops a Tennessee driver's license and when they ran it in, turn out to be fake. He, um Tried to handcuff him. He ran to his car. He pulled out very quickly. He hit a police car hit the calm of the hotel. And when the officer said he had to, you know, dive out of the way to get cannot be hit by the car on they found the car a mile away, abandoned into the only thing they had for the crime. Andre were this driver's license and You know, there was a problem today. There. There's fingerprints, but they decided to go with his driver's license, and they ran the photo through facial recognition technology and they got a match to night here, Park. And arrested them. And he ended up serving 10 days in jail on at the time that I've I've never been to the Hampton and I've never been dead to that town. You know, he just also happens was in New Jersey. We're talking with Cashmere Hill technology reporter for The New York Times. All right, so, so they arrest Mr Parks Based on what who? Apparently they were told by facial recognition technology who had committed this shoplift against subsequent potential, I guess assault on a police officer. When he was arrested. What was his response? What he was was he surprised that the police showed up two to arrest him. He actually went to the police station to say, Hey, you guys have the wrong guy. This isn't me. Um this is a case of mistaken identity on, do they? They didn't believe him. He Hey, did have some prior convictions in his youth 10. Years ago, he was arrested for selling drugs and he had spent some time in jail. So I think for the Costigan said, Hey, this guy said face matches. They've got prior convictions. He's our guy. Um so yeah, he went to the station. They arrested him. Um, at his Hearing. Uh, because he had these prior convictions. He New Jersey has a no bail system and so at the point system rather than cash determine if you're released before trial. The point is that he had to stay in jail. So he was in jail for 10 days. Well, I got transferred to a pre tile laundering program after he hired a private attorney, which ended up costing him $5000 on then for the you know, the next year, he was Battling this case, you know, he was offered a plea deal. You could take six years and in jail instead of going to trial, and you consider taking it just because he was afraid that he would lose it trial and because he had the prior convictions, he could have gone a very long sentence. It was really scary for him. On and Yeah, it's hard. The police the police always have told me have reported a lot of facial recognition. They say we've never arrest somebody based on Leon facial recognition. We just just the clue in the case. And we do other investigating, But this is the third case for somebody's been wrongfully arrested based basically just on a facial recognition match with very little additional investigation.

Regina King Imagines What 4 Black Icons Gathering In 1964 Might Have Looked Like

"It sounds like quite a party for African American icons gathering after a heavyweight championship bout in 1964, New champ Caches, Clay joined by three famous pals, fullback Jim Brown, singer Sam Cooke and activist Malcolm X, which had been a fly on the wall. Well, critic Bob Mondello says the movie one night in Miami grants that wish It really happened at the Hampton House Motel on February 25 1964 in the film's imagining of how things went down. Malcolm, who had been flown in by the soon to be Champ Asses, spiritually advisor suggested they get together afterwards for friends celebrating the man of the hour on his big night catches. She's very pregnant. We wish her all the best. So here I am filling in on the phone. I have Hunter Jenkins with me. He is the vice president of Viper in Good morning, Hunter. Good morning. Thank you so much for joining. I'm sorry, actually couldn't be here and I'm sorry. You can't be here in person with me because that's what we normally do. We love being face to face, but this darn virus Yeah, It's kind of kind of messed up everything. But we really do appreciate the opportunity, and I hope everything's going well with actually awesome. Awesome. So let's just dive right into it. First Question. 100 Jenkins Hill, are you Well, I'll let you said I am the vice president of by brain grabs our rescue. Um I've been doing it for about six years. So it's really been fun opportunity and get to work with some amazing animals. Okay, That's great. So now does that Segway into Viper? Thank you said, Is that the same organization or is this a different organization that you're representing today? No, it's the same. So it's viper in could short for Virginians interested in protecting every reptile. Oh, wow. Okay, Very cool. So that's how the name came about. What is the mission and the goal of Viper Inc. So our mission is to help in multiple ways, so we help with educating our local communities. We do a lot of visitations that schools Um, and also help with rehabbing animals. Um, we get a lot of different animals in so it's our goal to help find these animals. Um Proper homes. And you guys are five a one c or non profit organization. So you know, do community members. People give you a call? If they see an animal out about like, how How are you involved with the community beyond just the educational part? So we work with state and local wildlife. Um We work with also with some rehab or so, So the actual wildlife we get calls from rehab is if it's something that they can't handle that we take it on way. Also work with Department of Gaming Inland Fisheries. Um they reach out to us. If they have something, we actually have an American alligator. That's one thing that Woz, Um you have to have a permit through the state have on that We were. We were given one of those, and she's absolutely anyone. We also get calls from Are local. Sorry. I'm trying to think of it. You're fine. You're fine. I know it's early. It's early. Yeah. But our local wildlife will call us and say, Hey, we have this animal of we've taken and bearded dragons say we found the bearded dragon. Inside a trash can outside of an apartment complex. Can you guys take it on? Oh, that's incredible. So I mean, you know a lot of people myself included. You think reptiles And you think like scary alligators, snakes? Do you also try toe? Educate the community on these are animals. These are pets. They are in people's homes. You can love them and find as much joy and pleasure from a reptile as you can. A golden doodle. Absolutely there are these animals are Not really given the respect that they deserve. Hmm. Then that's kind of our goal is to help. You know, we have one of our big ambassador Animals is a 30 ft. Burmese python that is £75 on and she is absolutely a sweetheart. Most people would say something like that and run and scream. But our goal is to help not have that reaction. She's a puppy dog. She actually came to us. She was stabbed multiple times. Wow. And, uh, like I said, she is actually one of our biggest and sweetest on animals that we have. Well, that's that's I'm scrolling through your Facebook page right now, looking at pictures. I'm just extremely intrigued again. If you're waking up with us this morning. Have Hunter Jenkins on the phone with us is the vice president of Viper Ink and again. Viper. I love what you guys stand for Virginians interested in protecting every reptile. So do you guys, you know, even though Kobe is going on right now, do you have any events coming up? Are there current events happening? A chance for the community to get involved. Maybe somebody out there listening is a reptile lover, a reptile enthusiast. Do you have any events on the horizon? Um, for the end of this year. Unfortunately, no covert really has kind of made things difficult for us. Um, next year. We are hoping that we will have some Coming up. So to help us out we are still doing, um In person adoptions, okay? So that is the way that we can do it and also, um, any donations are always accepted. And it's not just, um, financial donations, but Supplies. Ah, things like that. That's always welcome. Okay, So when you say supplies if somebody out there because I know my mom personally collects like newspaper bags and drops him off at the Virginia s P C. A so they can use it for the animals to scoop the poop. So what kind of donations you guys accept? Well, we'll take anything in these type of reptile supplies, so actually even newspapers because that's really our betting. Hmm. We can use um, You know, we've had donations from pet stores that have called so we have light. Mm hmm. Most reptiles require a special kind of lighting. So we have special lighting that we get. Um Anyway. We had a lot of the local reptile community will also donate. Thanks. Wow, for us to be able to house the animals. Wow. So this is really cool. So what? What kind of reptiles do you personally own? If you don't mind sharing, I'm just interesting. Um, I personally keep a lot of bullets, boas like Bella constrictors. Yep. Oh, yeah, They're they're kind of there. That's not passion there. I love them all. But I've got I've got some big takers as well. Black and white Argentine takers, Hmm. And, uh, I'm actually sitting here staring at her now I've got a big 6 ft. Green going on 6 ft. Green A guana. What is her name? Well, her name is actually areas. It was a funny story that we ended up areas was actually a boy and we found out areas as a girl..

"Hello this is Jonah and I've come to Hampton Court palace by the River Thames to get into the mood for Halloween Hampton Court Palace belonged to England's King Henry v Eight in the sixteenth century and as you may know he had six packed with history and I can well imagine a few ghosts I'm going to be walking around the state apartments with Sheila who leads the ghost tours at Hampton court Sheila's kindly agreed to tell me the spookiest stories of the palace so Sheila thank you very much for agreeing to show me around this wonderful palace where to most of the stories come from will most of the stories Jonah come from our grace-and-favour residents they were special people that lived here from seventeen six eighty who the done some great service for the crown and they could live here rent free life and they became known as Jason Faith residents looks like a wonderful place to live but can be very scary there lots of ghosts stores here attributed to Hampton Court Palace and yes I can testify to working here in the day and a lot of strange unexplained and frankly scary things do happen a wonderful that's exactly what I want to hear where will you take us I well I think we should start in the famous Tudor haunted gallery a wonderful I'm excited so in the famous gallery is quite dark and it's famous painting that must be Henry the eighth over here sheet of what does this mean all this is one of Henry's face Mus galleries where he would basically walk from his private apartment alone here and you see we've got two doors to either side off the wall these doors lead to Henry the eighth and his queen whoever she was at the time their private praying rooms the top the chapel and Henry used to say most of his devotions in this private room next to where I'm standing and he very rarely went down into the body of the chapel the ground floor was that he just preferred to be alone while he said his devotion so people knew every morning when Henry was at Hampton court where he was going to be an even one eat broken away from the Catholic church he still said his prayers in here every morning so how does Katherine Howard fit into that are good question now Catherine Howard was Henry Gates fifth wife and by the time she married the being the king was about fifty years of age Catherine was eighteen she was basis she was pretty she liked all the things that a young people like music closed dancing and in fact she made Henry the eighth feel young again but Henry was far from the which is man that you see in that painting just to your right hand side Henry had a waste of fifty one inches he was grossly fat most visit teeth or rotting in his mouth and courtier said before you heard him coming along the corridor Odia you could smell him why did he let himself go so much and he was fifty he was fifty years of age well he'd always been quite healthy but he had a fall from his horse when he was twenty eighty five he couldn't do as much exercise he had an ulcer on his lake and all the sort of medical conditions slowed the king he ate a lot because he could afford it yet he partied and that was the price he paid thank you for that why is Katherine associated with this gallery right it was fifteen forty one and Henry and Catherine had been married for six months they were here at Hampton court to St the over and celebrate Christmas but what Henry didn't know was this lovely queen of his had secret past she had two boys friends before she married the king and his she'd probably been honest and told the king he would have still married but she kept this secret they find out I mean how do the king find out when he found out later by chance because Catherine was here at Hampton court but what Henry didn't know was she'd started a friendship with a gentleman at court a man called Thomas culpeper and they will round about the same age the time the king was in his apartments later with his ill health a lot of time Catherine was young she wanted fun and she spent her time with colpepper dancing playing cards giggling having fun like young people do and soon evitable happened and friendship turned to love now catherine sat down and she made the biggest mistake of her life she wrote Colpepper a letter in his letter it said how much she loved him and how much he wished she was his wife and how much she regretted marrying the king he was old he was smelly he was no fun she didn't want to have children with him in fact he repulsed her misselling later this was all in the lateran giveaway isn't it what a silly goal she was an inevitably the letter was found and taken to the king who I denounced at all it's a pack of lies in fact he left the letter on his desk in his private apartments and did not open it for two days ace but when he did the truth bore upon him and he cried like a baby and he was very angry genuinely loved her so he jen new in love and now he gave orders that Catherine beheld under house arrest which meant Yeomen of the guard on her door so they would watch her every move while investigations to these allegations were going on courtiers came to tell Henry that indeed his wife had had to the boyfriend before she married Francis Theorem who was a cousin of hers and Henry Mannix a music teacher so colpepper Ron System and Henry Mannix hold off to the famous tower of London the interogations Catherine was held in her rooms what kind of interogations asking them questions really not so much interrogation but torture to extract the truth from them did they tell the truth didn't matter to Henry whether they told the truth or not these allegations had come to light and they were probably guilty sushila how did the story play out in the end will catharine with young she did not want to die. she had to have a plan and legend has it that while she was under house arrest one morning she managed to escape the attention of gods she tip toed down this famous gallery and when she got to the store just to my left hand side it was closed Aspen Normal Henry was on the other side saying his morning devotions and when Catherine got here she gently knocked on door and probably said something like Henry it's your wife it's Catherine please could you come out I do need to speak to you you see she had to be polite she was fighting for her life Henry on the other aside heard her please do you think he was gonNA open that door well I always assume that love with prevail but what happened Henry was a broken man he'd seen that letter and all the detestable things that she'd written about him and the funny thing was and the sad in was they were all true but he thought he had finally found the right wife for him so henry resolved to keep the door closed and to keep on praying to God maybe praying that if he married a gain he would find the right one however the more that does state housed the more desperate the poor girl became until after a minute or two she was crying begging the Henry to come out he never did Harry Unforgiving Yeomen of the Guard solway she was and they dragged her literally kicking and screaming back to her apartment she put up a fight she did not want to go she knew if she didn't see Henry Her fate would be sealed or a tragedy does her ghost Doc if you seen her ghost I haven't personally but many grace-and-favour residents particularly in the Victorian period of toll owed the dead of night of hearing the earthly shrieks and screams of a gyro where we're running along this guy ellery glimpses of the young queen in ghostly form or cold or seen regularly up until nineteen hundred when this Korea was painted it was spruced up and it was open to our day visitors now it's often said that ghosts or permissions do not like change and although strange things still happen in this gallery the ghostly form of young Catherine Howard had is not been seen since should I tell you the conclusion to the tail yes please yes now February time fifteen forty two do it was deemed that Catherine Howard after thorough investigations was guilty of adultery having other boyfriends and Tree site met her is three heads on spikes front system Henry Mannix and in the middle her beloved with Thomas culpeper they all been hung drawn courted and their heads would stay on traitor's gate for three years so to deter anyone else from crossing swords or doing anything that would upset His Majesty King Henry yea Geeta that was a fascinating and spooky story thank you very much I've become a degree colder actually listening to that.

I was good when i was younger because i was this is faster than everyone but now i can't get away from it. What were your tag rules tags or no tag backs. Oh you can't take me back but you have to give me some time. You can't just like oh. You can't just do that used to play like quick tag. You can't tag in tag bag. You know what sucked freeze tag. I liked freesty- didn't like it because because if you got stuck somewhere far there's no way you're getting on frozen. Some will come after you see. I like to be a hero in freeze tag because again. I was fasts s. so i wasn't really worried about getting pegged up unless i was you know you catch me slippin. I was you know doing something else. What would you say were the top three jim games of all time kick balls one right e- easy number basketball too basketball but like still like girls didn't like it. I feel like a fuck. Did i ever tell you this you. Her birthday was on nine eleven which was weird. It was sad all the the army because you're like she was crying. My birthday israel yeah. She was crying so those the only funny part of nine eleven but it was robin williams on nine eleven. Can we talk about seeing that is genius. You started watching family guy like now ish like i mean i've seen episodes. I'm watching it like in in right order right so like i've watched every episode of south park in every episode of family guy yeah <hes> set mcfarland arlen for him like do you think he goes too far which it no. I don't think you can far. I think if you set a president you can't go too far. I don't think so you can go too far as far as comedy. I think stuff is just funny then like i get like i'm on the fence about like the whole thing when it comes to comedy because i'm totally against it for me. See what against the p._c. Yeah but i think you're crippling people's creativity when you do that yeah of course because anything's funny i i would never be offended at someone when making a joke about something that happened to me if it was funny right if it was just like not well thought out and just like mean. That's one thank. There's there's like shock value comedy that i don't like hate that then there's like so there's funny ways to push it together to give you an example so i think if it makes me laugh. I'm called it yeah if it doesn't make me laugh and it just comes off like you just wanted to put this in there because you wanted wanted to seem to seem like a brave comedian yeah if that's if that's the case that i'm like fuck this guy like he's a loser you know or whatever i also wouldn't mind though like if it was after after show and someone that was offended came into being in told me and there were like i don't really fuck with that. I'll try to have a dialogue with them to be honest all right. So what bothered you about it. See i like like i if it's different in the middle of your act like that's not funny now. I'm gonna ask you this. You know but like if you came up to me after show and you're like hey hey listen. I didn't like the gay material that you did. You know or i didn't i thought it was. I didn't like <hes> you know..

"This is maybe a an Easter egg for some people. But today, we are exploring the life and times and untimely end of a very young man named Fred Hampton today. Most people would not be able to point out Maywood Illinois on a map it's relatively small. It's a community of at the closest estimate a little more than twenty three thousand five hundred people in cook county's proviso township shortly after World War Two now. Was this kid? His name's Fred Hampton. He he went to. He was born in summit, Illinois. He went to a high school in Maywood in the area. He was great at math was he was a great athlete and for time. He was a pre law student. He died. Spoiler alert when he was twenty one years old as bonkers to me every time I look back at these. Whether it's like musician musicians the dies has nearly age like Kurt cobaine. I forget they're like twenty three twenty four years old. I still think of myself as a relatively young, man. But it really makes you puts things in perspective. You just just getting started for at Hampton was. So what happened to look at this? We will have to start with some some social context and background. So here are the facts Fred Hampton is today. Most widely known for his association with the Black Panther party or be p p officially the Black Panther party for self defense. This was founded in Oakland, California in nineteen sixty six by Huey Newton. And Bobby Seale originally these guys wanted to protect local residents of the Oakland community from police brutality and this information crime and just as a like a local defense forces sensually a self-governing community, right? We don't we don't need a we don't need the law enforcement industry as they saw it to further repress our community. There's so many things. That could be solved the reasoning goes by by just talking to kids because these are teenagers just saying, hey, don't cause trouble. Or, you know, it's it's like you hear the stories of young kids who maybe get pulled over for something. They get caught drinking underage or smoking pot. And then the officers up to their discretion. They can they can book a kit and take them to juvie or they can do something that is scarier more. Frightening for some of them, which is called their mother. It's interesting in the movie black klansman. I don't know if you guys have seen that yet. But it got some Spike Lee finally got his first Beck's best picture and best director Oscar nominees first nation in thirty years since do the right. That's right. I watched the plane. Yes. But there's a scene where Stokely Carmichael who's the leader of the Black Panther party. Is speaking at a university and one of the organizers who's a college student who's got this. You know, college group that organized this event is very abusively pulled over by the very racist, local Riley's and just hassled for being the person that brought these people to this town. I believe in Colorado the city in Colorado. So I kind of stuff was happening all the time. And that was the there was absolutely need to have some kind of protection within this specific community to keep stuff. Like that from happening ednid- need is key. These people were making these decisions for fun, right? They weren't like, hey, should we go bowling or should we should we start a political party and? And then rock paper scissors for it. They saw a need and as the BP evolved its goals expanded. They recognize this was not something that needed to exist only in Oakland, California. But in the continent entire right, especially the US, but also also Canada and the group eventually called for nationwide changes meant to combat. The racial inequality in the US which still exists today. Now by the late nineteen sixties this organization had over two thousand members two thousand minute members..
