"And he still can't drive. We got him. We do what we had to do, but like I just wanted to race there at the end and just, you know, he's just terrible. You know, we talk about all the time. We want drivers to show their emotion. Obviously, Denny Hamlin was very displeased, showed his emotion after that race by preventing Alex Bowman from doing his victory burnout. Were you okay with what you saw from Denny Hamlin? I didn't love the altercation on the front stretch for more than the reasons I think everybody assumes. It's not so a little bit is, I believe, hey, the winner is the winner, and you have to kind of respect whether you completely disagree with how he got there. It's kind of this moment that the person has earned per the NASCAR rule book. They claim human as a winner. The second part of perhaps more importantly for me is I think his actions in the race car diminished his actions in front of the microphone. And I believe that Denny, when he got out and said what he said about Alex, I actually don't feel that was a motion fueled. I think that was a calculated Denny Hamlin, giving your opinion about another race car driver he drives with that in Denny's opinion. He isn't as talented as his teammates, which is amazing, thinking he has four wins this year, but I'm just going off what Denny said. Me reading Denny's comments. He doesn't feel he's as good that he felt like he got wrapped not on purpose, but it felt like he got wrecked because the guy didn't have enough talent to not reckon. I mean, that's kind of how I read his comments, right? It's a hack job. That isn't, you know, that jerk wrecked me. That's not what he said. He said it's a hack job, which basically, you know, if me and you or golfers and I say you're a hack, that means you're not any good. Man, don't play with Nate. He's a hack. He can't hit the golf ball. It's not fun. When you call someone a hack, that tells me that you say you don't have the talent to try to do or to justify what you're trying to do. Those are the words that I expect Danny. That's how I take what he was trying to tell me. The problem is, after the shenanigans on the front stretch, I'm kind of like, does people rather even listening to what he has to say? Right. That's why I wish that wouldn't go on. I wish it was done because I love sports. I love rivalries and I love disagreement and we don't have to agree on which side we're on, and I think he has every right to say whatever he wanted to do and you can liken boo cheer. That's not the point. He has every right to say it and I think that was diminished because of what happened on the front. So you love the emotion, just save the emotion for just the interview. Don't necessarily do it in the front stretch and unconventional. I'm going to stop your burnout stop your celebrations. Yeah, I mean, there's a lot that goes into it, right? And there's a burnout interview. There's people in the front stretch. I'm not gonna defend any of it. I've never been a race car driver, so I don't know what it's like to sit in there and how they see this car as an extension of themselves and they feel it's fine to put this whatever. That's their business. I Denny Hamlin in his race car on the front stretch is Denny Hamlin, the race car driver. Danny Hamlin out with his helmet off camera in front of him, face on screen is a NASCAR superstar. The fan can relate to the driver they can see. The fan can't relate to the guy behind the wheel. So I think for the good of the sport and for the good of the fans, get out and say it. It's kind of like sometimes I feel like drivers behind the wheel are kind of like people behind a keyboard. It's a lot easier because you've got a helmet on in your hidden. When you're willing to take all that comfort away and double down on your comments, those resonate more with me. So let's talk about what Hamlin said and ask, I want to frame this in the most respectful way possible to Alex Bowman, but ask if Denny Hamlin has a point. And what I mean by that is I'm not saying Alex Bowman didn't deserve to win this race. He had a very fast car. He put himself in position to win it. But a lot of people I saw on social media were asking, you know, why didn't Denny Hamlin just allow him more room? And I think Jenny Hamlin's answer is I did allow him more room. Like I was watching the replays this morning, it looked like he gave him a lane, maybe lane and a half for a few laps there, and then when Alex Bowman made the move, he couldn't hold the bottom, he slid up and he took out the 11. Does Denny Hamlin have a point to some degree that Alex Bowman didn't make the past the way a driver should make that pass? So he didn't. And I don't think he made the past the way he intended to make the pass. So yeah, he did say that it wasn't until my analysis of what I saw on the racetrack as a guy who's never driven Martinsville, but watched, we'll call it tens of thousands of laps there. Denny Hamlin races Martinsville with the scalpel. Pre calculated what he does and where he puts his car. Reminds me a lot of Jeff Gordon, who I was fortunate enough to win there. I've seen him do it. I believe that Danny gave Alex Bowman an ample amount of room to race with reasonable contact for a race win. I think Alex Bowman lap after lap after lab was unable to make the pass and eventually purely a mistake that over the limit of his car under braking, car gets loose. You have to turn right and that carries them up into Denny. He spends Dany out. So it's really, I don't think there's a debate on what happened. The debate is, is it okay for a non playoff driver? To take his car to such a limit that he can cross over and rec a playoff guy or any driver for that matter. Where is good hard racing? Is it, you know, like he didn't hit him in the rear bumper. He didn't reckon. On purpose, but he recked him. So it wasn't malicious, but does it make a difference? If the result's the same, I mean, that's really the question. Everybody has come up with their own answer. I don't have an opinion on it. I mean, it's fascinating to me. I believe in my heart 5 years ago, a non playoff driver does not contend that spot. Now we see non playoff drivers there. Dale junior and I won, there's a non playoff driver. But we were never in a position to never race anybody where we had to contend the spot. We had a little new tires by Tony Stewart. Matter of fact, Dylan, I had this conversation on the ride home. Jeff Gordon was closing. And Dale said, one reason why I went by Tony with such force. By flaming.
Bowman wins as tension builds ahead of NASCAR title race
"Alex Bowman celebrated in Martinsville's victory lane while three others advance to the championship for having a shot at the title in Phoenix Denny Hamlin Martin Truex junior and chase Elliott joined Kyle Larson who locked himself in two weeks ago Bowman's win with his fourth of the season and his first at Martinsville in twelve tries which we're going to Phoenix obviously with a chance to win a championship and has been painful to kind of go through the playoffs where they've banned but it's awesome at least you know start to end the year on a on a strong note the final four features two drivers each from Hendrick motor sports and Joe Gibbs racing Stever **** Martinsville Virginia
Hamlin holds off Elliott, takes first NASCAR win in Vegas
"If you're going to take a gamble Las Vegas is the perfect place to do it but you should understand as Kyle Larson found out the gambles don't all pay out his fuel mileage gamble backfired and then handed him his first win at Las Vegas motor speedway we've just done a great job working on this racetrack in getting a lot better for me over the course of my career after fourteen years of not really being not that good here so Chris and the team the whole facts terror teams has been a great great great ride with them and obviously just had another trip for the character of the case and I will get to go and worry about the next round Hammond ended up leading ninety eight of the last one hundred and fifteen laps and held off a late charge by chase Elliott for his forty sixth career win Brett McMillan Las Vegas
NASCAR Playoff Pulse: Analyzing the Field After Richmond
"Opening up the nascar cup series season with three wins in the opening. Twelve races martin. True ex junior went through a long dry spell when the weather warmed up. Well he's got his mojo back again. Winning the playoff race at richmond ending his summer slump a lot of tough lock and auto crashes and got caught in the rain a few times and some crazy things happen too so i felt like we brought goodspeed all summer. We had good cars for the most part other concrete tracks. Really kinda whipped us. But you never know how things are gonna go to x. Now joins teammate denny. Hamlin is around one winner. Who's locked up a spot in round two. Also clinching on points. Kyle larson trying to be one of the other nine drivers who are going to move on chase. Elliott is currently ranked seventh and fortunate to finish fourth at richmond following a problem pitstop when the reigning champ thought he had slid through his pit box so i just kind of took it upon myself to back up. Tj already hit the right side. Jack and at that point. I should know not to but obviously i wouldn't have broke the jack if i knew it was going to break the jack so i just didn't want to stop over the line. I thought that was just gonna make problems even worse so try to be cautious. Ended up hurting us. Worse after problems. At both darlington and richmond. Alex bowman is currently tied on the cutoff line. With kurt

"I I would leave for 50. I'm just saying I'm a bargain. Woohoo. Okay, although, you know, I don't sadly, look there she is even the story in the store. Here's another celebrity gossip mystery to solve this, barely their celebrity offspring is learning what the last barely their celebrity offspring learned after several painful years. The only thing that matters to this part time reality stars himself. He's always on the lookout for the next 18 year old to screw over. Okay, this is Scott Disick, Scott Disick. And the barely their celebrity offspring would be Amelia Hamlin, who is the daughter of Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin and then the other. The other one that they're talking about is Sofia, Richie. Yes. Showtime, Everybody. You just have to keep all of your Scott Disick. X's straight. It is kind of grow. It's disgusting. So creepy. Dude, you've got like three kids and ex wife. Why are you like looking for Because he's a nurse. Assist? Yeah. Why are you Why are you got Disick period? I don't even need to know what comes after that. No, So let's fill in the blank. So Amelie Hamlin learned what Sofia Richie learned after several painful years is that the only thing that matters to Scott Disick is Scott Disick, and that's got to stick is always on the lookout for the next 18 year old. So Scott Disick watch out for him to quote unquote. Rebound from this, He's going to need to date somebody his own age to redeem himself getting wanna that's the other thing is like true, I I think the people who are his own age are onto him, right and the people who are too who are super young. I mean, I'm going to be honest. There is a certain level of visibility that you get by being attached to got Disick, and it could probably be attractive to celebrity offspring who have not had luck. With their own career careers. Well, because what doesn't Amelia Hamlin do? She just familiar? Hamlin's He's a model, but who knows that? Yeah, She just needs to be Amelia Hamlin. Yeah, in this moment, and he can enhance that and we now and half in hands, and we are talking about her in a way that we would never have talked about her. "We're about to play america's favorite games too right now. Green flag black-flag redesign statement. And if you agree with the statement our panel will give it a green flag. And you'll hear this now. This agree give it a black flag and you get this. All right can start with hermes sadler since he drove so far. All right all right at least to pass. Champions will be eliminated in round one. A green flag have to elaborate is just because his that kind a year. It's just been crazy. And what you see and i just got this feeling that this year is gonna be different and strange and upside down and Surprise after surprise a green flag me. Right alexis ericsson. Yeah i'm gonna go black flag actually Certainly could happen. But i don't see it happening especially at around one now round two. Perhaps that could definitely happen. But there's just some other guys Down at the bottom of round one that are that are not past champions. I think are gonna go up. I all right. What do you think doug rice. I'm going to agree with her. Sadler and say green flag. I could easily see a couple of past champions stumbling over the next couple of races. Kabua's all but said he's given up on his team so he could be one of them and who else could suffer that same kind of fate. So i agree to to one so far. Brad gilly what do you think. I think the gentleman to my left and my right are crazy. One pass. that's true. Look i think kyle busch goes out You go back and look at his history and he has melted down in the first race of several playoffs before and that literally just set the tone for him not even be able to compete for a title. So i would say one but not to all right. Alliance is having my back here you go. You're you're up next on this. When alexis darlington will not be the last attrition race in the round of sixteen. Oh gosh yeah green flag. I mean we're going to richmond and we're going to bristol in those are racetrack. Second call is high. High attrition High tempers high everything. So yes i say green flag. I do not think darlington. We'll be the only one that will see multiple multiple playoff drivers suffering. Ill fates. I'm gonna bet doug agrees with you. Do i do agree wholeheartedly. Green flag. I thank the folks up to bristol need to order a couple of extra records and maybe a backup role black. Because there's gonna be some torn up sheet metal there brad geli oh green flag all the way we look. We have nine hundred laps of racing still left in this round. I don't know that it's necessarily gonna be richmond but stranger things can happen to doug point. I think speedway children's charities is going to have a lot of sheet metal auctioned off after bristol. all right. how about her me. Sadler black flag. Whoa oh woo. You know the reason. I say that number one i want to disagree with everybody else because it makes a good radio and television and all that but number two these teams and drivers that have dubbed themselves. This whole at darlington. They can't race aggressively as much as they. Maybe would like to so. I think we're going to see not trying to not sale tickets for these tracks. But i think you're going to see drivers that are trying to come back or dig back out of that hole to be a little bit more conservative at richmond and bristol. Maybe so then If they could just take the reins off or they might have to be desperate at bristol. Good point but that's not part of my narrative bristol baby all right dirt left meredith. Love that all right. Let's go to doug rice. I on this one. After not winning a race in the regular season denny. Hamlin will go back to back with a victory in richmond this weekend. Good that happen. I wanna say green flag. Why not yeah. Let let the guy go ahead and that takes away another race from somebody else that needs one guaranteed to advance. I like i like that to use hermes word narrative. How about a brad guilty. I will say black flag not just disagree with doug but i don't think he goes back to back. I think there are people right now. Who are way better on short tracks denny hamlin even though this is his home track and i know he's won a lot of raises here. I'll say black flags can be someone else saturday even her me. What are you saying Black flag. I said earlier matt narrative earlier in the show was dinnie. Is he's good richmond to stats. Say that they don't need me to say but he's really really good at darlington how he can take a fifth eighth place. Car may be win with in richmond. Not as much. I think he. He's always hit great cars. They are anchor drive them. But i think I think somebody just goes to victory lane this weekend alexis. What's your narrative mind is. I've got dogs back. I think.

"You video game mode. And that's exactly what he did. And you know what you have to love that about. Kyle larson arsenio for a little while. It seemed like kyle. Larson was going in play in the points a little bit. You know when we're talking about the regular season championship and who was gonna win that. It was very odd to hear. Call larson's say that he didn't some risks on the race track because he was really looking at you know trying to make sure he gained as many points as possible. You can definitely say that. He took every risk that he thought he needed to take on the race. Track last night at darlington to get that win and try to secure himself into the next round And you know what he made a great for the fans it didn't work out unfortunately for him he had a really Roughed up race car when when it was all said and done. But you have to love that Competitiveness about him that it was just when it was all on the line it was just about winning and he did everything he possibly could do. It just didn't work out chase elliott. Maybe nascar's most popular driver for time immemorial as long as he wants to hold that title. But i ask you this brad. How popular is any not denny hamlin. How popular is cow larson going to be. And how much is his popularity grown over. What is basically three quarters of a season. I don't know that we need to underestimate. Cod larson's popularity right now. Because yes while chase. Elliott has all of those people in georgia who did a great job stuff in the ballot box. Name bill elliott most popular driver for so many years. Well deserved honor for sure kyle. Larson has literally the entire dirt racing community on his side. And they've a lot of them have come over to nascar to watch what he's been doing and see the success that he's been having and as long as he keeps winning and as long as he keeps representing and still has firm grasp of grassroots racing. Kyle larson could actually take that. Thrown chases count the darling. He was anointed debt crisis. Who was from. Bill elliott dam today. Oh junior down to him and you look at larsen he is. You know those of you know personally. He's a very kind laid back. He's not but he's got the maverick vote he's he's yeah he's the one that everybody's on his side now because of what he went through and the people he connected with and go into the dirt track but people that right. I don't like nascar. They like kyle larson because you know he's he's he got not down and he bring himself back. So he's he's i. Call them maverick fans. They're they're wrong. Kyle larson said but he in cows not even that kind of personality would as which is unique by the way you mentioned. Bill elliott their little footnote on denny. Hamlin's win just forty fifth career victory and you know what folks that puts him one past the awesome bill. Eliot is that is that he was a huge bill elliott fan growing up. I mean that was danny's guy growing up and now he's able to surpass them. That's got to be really cool accomplishment. So forty fifth win for bill for denny hamlin moves in one passed. Bill elliott. We'll take a break when we come back. We will look at good times and bad times from the lady. In black the pitches moving up the day antonio's animation studio needs a three d designer to day someone who's artistic as they are organized. How we're gonna get all this done. Doug rice robert oppenheimer often known as the father of the nuclear bomb apparently uoted hindu scripture when he finally saw his device used for the first time in the new mexico desert. He said i had become death. I am the destroyer of worlds with all apologies. To mr oppenheimer could be said for darlington raceway as destroyed or at least put a big dent in the title hopes of a lot of contenders sunday. Night welcome to fast talk. I'm doug rice along with brad. Gilly alexis ericsson and hermes sadler and hermes. Since you had to drive to get here. we're going to bring you up. I rough night for a lot of title contenders it. A lot of carnage and That racetrack is always had the reputation can get out and get you at any time. Just a tough tough racetrack and you look at some of the issues. I was thinking about it coming down. You know driving down kyle. Busch william byron chase elliott. Alex bowman blaney all of these drivers that nail have a little bit of a concern moving forward. They've they've had a mulligan a little bit later on. We're going to do a segment just devoted to who is in the biggest hole. After just one race of the ten playoff races but alexis with all the carnage that army referred to denny hamlin finally scratches w on the season. Were you impressed. Yeah i mean first of all anytime you go to darlington you think of denny hamlin but for somebody who Up until this point throughout the entire regular season was running well obviously was was the points leader for quite some time. but then the lost at takao larson. It looked like okay. Well maybe could. We go an entire season without seeing denny hamlin get to victory lane But you know in in pure denny hamlin fashion he did it at the most opportune time was able to You know best the rest of the playoff contenders and get his number eleven at toyota and victory lane and now be able to breathe a little bit easier as we head through the rest of around one brag outside of denny hamlin. Who's locked into around to. Who else do you think came out of. Fleet darlington mess in relatively good shape or maybe surprisingly good shape. Kevin harvick you know. He went from literally being sixteenth in the standings in east climbed his way up to seventh right now. More than plus twenty over the cut. Line and i think with a A fifth-place finish in stage. One two and three harvick and crew did exactly what they needed to do in that playoff opener short of winning the race to actually solidify where their spot is in the playoff standings right now. Her brag gilead has been the voice of reason throughout the year. Pains me to say that saying that denny hamlin is actually had a pretty good year that he's led a lot of laps and he scored a lot of points now that he's got a win. Does this make him a legitimate title. Contender i'm not ready to say that. Just yet i mean obviously a big win at a big time but dinnie if he just watched the way he lawrenson for that matter. The way danny drives. That racetrack is very very unique. Elliott was sitting there watching the race last night. My brother is like the way he enters the corners high up in the a lot of drivers. And i'll try to explain this dive down. Low in the corners at darlington didn't slat up to the wall in the center of the corner. That's an abrasive racetrack is like you tie run across a cheese grater. Couldn't that rubber off the tires. Denny hamlin and kyle larson to a certain degree also have that ability to enter the corner at such a hot. they don't take that slide every corner and it may give up a little bit of speech sometimes on the short end of a run but on a long of iran. They've got more tire and more car. Danny makes a difference with his car at that racetrack. I'm not sure there's any other track on the circuit that that he as a driver can make that much difference. So you're saying that. The uniqueness of darlington place to his advantage. No question it. He just got a neck. A lot of people elliott said last night metoo as it. That's why i'm sitting on the couch. Washington i can't do that in elliott. Said he could taught parrot back in the day when elliot was driving for robert gates testing. Daunton with todd parrott in todd on top of the trump elliott. You have to enter higher to save your tires in work to throttle around the top of the entry. Elliot's he got me. Elliott was pretty good at darlington. Got it better. But not to the point of denny hamlin. He is just so good at that race. Track away he's able to navigate navigate. The corners gives him more tire and more car at the end of those runs at darling. So how is your brother. he's great receives still have a fleet of dogs. He's got about seventy walker hands. That the they get a tractor trailer load of dog food every week. Wow to feed them in between deer. Hunting and coach travel baseball and softball. He's never been happier and by the way. Never been busier. But i will say not having the rigors in the ups and downs as we've discussed of big time nascar racing. He's much more pleasant That's gonna be around as a brother. Telhami missing. I will all right alexis. Carl larsson didn't let the race without a little bit of drama on the last lap. Now he's shipped it I mean he you know he he said i think is radio communication..
Denny Hamlin Wins Southern 500 to Open NASCAR Cup Playoffs
"The first of ten NASCAR playoff races saw Danny Hamlin hold off a hard charging Kyle Larson to grab the checkered flag at Darlington Raceway one of these playoffs together was no room for error and you now to fund your ticket to the next round we get to go out there and focus on getting to the second round which I think is probably the most dangerous Larson made a valiant effort on the final lap bumping Hamlin's rear bumper and then as if he was playing a video game banged his car off the wall trying to make the pass seven of the sixteen playoff drivers had issues including Kyle Busch and chase Elliott who suffered wrecked race cars Ross Chastain finished third followed by Martin Truex junior and Kevin Harvick Steve Richards Darlington South Carolina

"Here serious. I'm just glad you stood up for yourself. You deserve all proud you know. I think that that means a lot to chase. 'cause tony stewart had. He said it's one of his idols. Once again tours. So i guess. Take me into briscoe and danny and let's pass the penalty now. We're talking about the contact and the spin. Okay let's let's tony stewart's comment. I'm sure that has a lot to do with tony stewart. Probably i talked to him. But i would imagine tony stewart feels like number one chase ramwell all day number two. He drove into turn one in position to take the lead and got run off the racetrack. So if you're the car you're like what is my job. Yeah he's got a right. So i don't think tony's defendants spinning him out. I don't think sony him out. But so i think that's what tony's comments about right but backed up back to hamlin like if i'm denny hamlin like i didn't do anything wrong like i drove into turn wonder somebody on the inside of me i i what am i going to do. I can't run him off the track. If i'm doing hamlin you know. I'm mad because the race got taken away from me from a guy that's getting. Yeah i think he. I'm surprised you didn't expresses anger a little more. I think he did later. I think i think your comment on that. That was all starting to come out but dinnie handling they. They call that race perfectly. They didn't work fast enough to win race and they called it perfectly to put himself in position when race and he's sitting there in great opportunity win race did a great job taking advantage of all that and he just read. There's no chase briscoe team. I mean. I don't think we've right risk race. A lot not known did it on purpose but again when you're that young guy that win is right in front of you. You tend to push a little harder than maybe you should've and that's what happened there so i won't lie i in my mind as i heard denny's interview i just kept seeing him. Run into chase martinsville and spend an amount when he sounds like my my point is i don't know if it's a more mature danny if it's car owed any it doesn't really matter because in the end like he gets its control it and have it whatever comments he wants but any of the brickyard that's three of the last five that he has been i mean but you know what all doors i think about and as we as we set here and i'm listening to what you guys were saying too i think chase and any both and we talk about dinnie being a little bit more upset after you had an opportunity to think about it i'm betting. Aj was more excited after he had to think about it. You know what i'm saying. I think everybody. I think everybody was just stunned. I i i think i think dinnie stunned did. He was spun from the lee from a guy who is going to be penalized. How do i process this for risk. Stunned you know because he spun danny and he was going to be penalized. What about done right. That's right and then you got. Aj standing in victory lane thinking. How did i end up here. So i mean those.

"Hamlin. Chase brisk on the outside are we. Okay with denny's move and are we. Okay with briscoes evasive. Acco right so so to me tastes briscoe. Did a great job got a great star. Now he gets out in term one and there's nowhere for him to get back on the track. Now i can't be mad at denny hamlin for that. He's three he's he's too wide. Briscoe tries to come back on the racetrack they're free. Why what's hamlet gonna do to the outside of all right so now here's briscoe through the grass and those at home or like. He's got us urva penalty right. Who knows but you're in that car and you're gonna serve a penalty. Does somebody tell you to serve penalty like you're going to drive. That's important because i'm not a race car driver. You wanna ton raises in your mind. You're going until you hear otherwise hundred percent behind. I agree with that one hundred. So if i'm at talladega and i'm coming to the white flag the checkered flag pass by below the yellow line. Not gonna just say. Oh well i asked the line. I'm going to make them make the call right. And so and on top of that and you not situation back when we were young. Here's a kid. A young man this trying to get his first win in his hometown in indianapolis indiana at the brickyard. All those emotions are real and so to sit at home and say well you do head served penalty like just serve the. It's not gonna happen and it shouldn't it chased briscoe in my opinion shouldn't have served apparently till he told deserve. That's my opinion. that's that's turned one. Yeah yeah and listen. I and i'm not so sure. I'm i'm just going to throw it out there and say if i'd been chased briscoes place and i had heard that audio. I raised them all the way. The checkered flag race. Run them all the way check and made them do something to me. Made them put me somewhere. You know what. I mean for the burger. They did put back on the last lap. Mama pull over. If you're going to penalize me or you're gonna part you're going to put me back there anyhow.

Let us know you thought about it. Jeff okay let's before we get into briscoe terming everything. Let's start with a weekend. I didn't think i would ever see my lifetime. And that is nascar and indycar. Happy to be at the same track together on the same weekend. I was bravo for the race fans. Bravo for the weekend. I thought it was a great step for motorsports in the us. It was a fun weekend. The added energy in the end. The infield was big. It was real fans liked being there. That infield energy reminded me of a little bit of what we used to see there. We didn't see you know. Obviously full stands but that energy and infield was real. It was fun. It was fun. We saw you know indycar drivers drivers and vice versa. It was it was just a fun weekend all the way round. I know we had some issues but but that will that weekend. We'll have to be done again. Saturday was interesting. Because you have fans that had come to see leo and dixon and all those guys and all of a sudden they're watching harrison and these guys are like man. I like this race. And then you've got guys that came to watch the xfinity race and they're like never been to an indycar race before what a great day. This is so. I agree with you. The energy level and the excitement of what they were going to see. They weren't sure what they were gonna see but they knew they were going to see something different on that saturday. Kind of like when we first went there with the brickyard. They didn't know what they were going. They were going to see so selfishly. Um i got to do the indy. Five hundred but we don't get to go to indiana car races. We work right nascar races every weekend for the second half of the year. So south ashley. I was excited to to attend to rate. And i want my brain krant a little bit watching big vinnie cars and the indy cars on the same thing. I just couldn't believe the grip those indycars make and how easy they make the switch backs transitions. Look but look. It was a big weekend for sports but the race itself was smooth for two thirds of it and had a pretty chaotic last five or six. Lattes let's go back and relive the fanatic of the final few laughs from the nascar raise. We'll be six laps to go when they get the green flag. This has been an intense race. They're going to be some gods trey side-by-side through turns five and six back in the air. They're paying into the grinding cars. Coming out of number six all that contact between the two leaders allow twenty twenty-five spanning but twenty bars. There's a wall here. We got caught. William byron is reporting that the curb came up. He hit the curb in the twenty. Four th robos cars destroyed to laugh to determine who will be the first ever to win on the road course indianapolis and there's four from avenue on the back straightaway. You jump right there once again. Hard on the gas across the yard of bricks. here's frisco to the outside. But he's off against prisco will come back onto the grass. And now he will be side by side with denny hamlin. He leaves them in the senate prisco right on his tail. Let's say the court car. He don racing's for the win. That put all the league. Bristow will have to serve a pillory. Another chapter written into the anti history. Ha all the bigger cross yard of bricks. Who winter ought to be in. This is unbelievable. I in my wildest dreams could never imagine the way that just played out. Maybe i love you so much mom and dad all my friends and family. Oh my god. That's just wanted to indy. Not.

Is NASCAR's Next Gen Car Safe? Some Drivers Have Questions
"This has got started with with the nascar drivers talking about the reconfiguration of atlanta motor speedway and the and the car. The next gen car and safety concerns with it now. There's a lot of rumors flying around twitter. Which obviously don't don't take anything you see on twitter. Tell me series lead a dummy. Yeah in a crash test. Yeah with the new jenkins died. Yeah so not good good good. We're going to leave the leave that to the twitter rumors because who knows what's true. What's not all that good stuff. However the nascar drivers specifically denny hamlin have been very vocal in the past few weeks about the sanctioning body. Not being communicative. Is that a word communicative not communicating enough to the drivers about. What's going on with the next gen. Car kyle busch was very said very similar things and a few other drivers that were interviewed. Kevin harvick said

NASCAR at Dover: Top 10 Finishers
"All right. Let's run down the top ten finishers at the monster mile at dover. We've got to call customer last week's guest on the program. Yeah and that's a second top ten in the season and he's like twenty fifth and points like oh my gosh. She's having such a horrible season. he's actually ahead of where he was last year at this point and if you remember correctly he went on to be in the playoffs. Last year this point he had one top ten and now he has to this year. So maybe maybe just maybe you turn it around daniels whereas with a top ten. That's pretty cool. Yeah and that track team has been really good for an upstart team. Obviously they're bringing in a lot of equipment from our cr and stuff like that but still there's still getting it down with with what they're given so that's a top five and top ten this season. Lots of top fifteen's they're sitting twenty second in points that's not too shabby it's The dovers not easy either. This is not any no he said. Piece a cake track so now and he was holding off. Hamlin there for a while at the end of this thing. Yeah yeah how. Many top ten tyler. Radic had now. It sure feels like he's been top ten every week flicked last eight. He's been up there. That's interesting to find out. Here william byron but still no but man. He's up to six this season and he only had nine all of last year so now it's one two three three in the last four. I thought so in the last five eight and then of course Born last six you got denny hamlin who basically lives in the top ten. Yeah that's what he does. He just doesn't live in victory lane. This is a problem. There's it's it's been cordoned off with crime scene tape or something. He's not allowed in there. It's sponsored by eps or something. Right and then. Kevin harvick showing signs of life in the last few weeks to so. Yeah so maybe get ready for a return. Victory and for kevin harvick caps. Perhaps maybe Fellow for driver joy lagana at number five.

Darlington Raceway Throwback Weekend 2021 is on now
"Is darlington throwback weekend where you're going to see paint schemes or vinyl wrap schemes honestly from many eras of nascar racing. The place is called the lady in black the track too tough to tame and drivers race each other instead of the race track. They will most certainly earn a darlington stripe on the side of their car. it's race number twelve. We've had ten different winter so far in eleven races. On a one point three six mile oval the cup races two hundred ninety three laps or four hundred point two miles stage. One is ninety laps stage to ninety five laps. final stage wing it at one eight. They ran three races at darlington last year. And they were one by kevin harvick's denny hamlin and kevin harvick yet again. All three series are in action cup series sunday three thirty pm eastern on f s one xfinity series saturday one pm eastern on f s one and the truck series seven thirty pm eastern friday on f s one. We went backwards on that. Ross chastain gets a setup for darlington this weekend darlington's tell in the cup series. Is the toughest adapt in be able to hustle these cup cars in a way. That's that sufficient. I think i found pretty good balance so that last year with extended cars in the cup. I just haven't found that at last night. I thought we had a good shot run top kansas. If if i get a good start there towards the end so same at darlington just you're down.

"You even saying here? And, you know, but that's good. I like that. I like to have the opportunity. Sometimes I listen to what she says. Sometimes I'm like, hey you know what? I'm going to tweak this around a little bit but sometimes I'm like, I love that. She can or should I say it this way or this way? I like it this way. Okay, but you know what? This is the way that resonates better with me and so I'm going to do it this way but I always I I do like to weigh in but at the end of the day I feel into what I I want it to be and what I want it to say something. You gotta there's a balance there. Well, the one thing I really appreciate about you is that you are so calm and grounded and you're very easy to be around. And the fact that people don't realize is that your your fricking badass, like you're a strong powerful woman. Like, you know, if there is your I visualized you some times where, you know, there's a burning building and you're walking out in your cowboy boots and just like your white T-shirt and it's like, you know. Yeah, I blew that shit up. You know, a lot of it. I loved that visualization. You just gave me so yeah. So when you're so there, I know if you could play that one part, where your twangy of when you with the band, well, you're in that kitchen and you're walking through that, oh, I can't play that. That's okay, that's okay. I started love to that's okay well really tell me what it is so scattered melody song. Okay, so I've been in this band for about eight or nine years. It's a band here in Arizona and it's really it's a great console. So it was two buddies. Three buddies of mine were in a band. Well, the lead singer left and there was a bass player and a drummer left over. And they were like well we're going to do a community project where we were going to bring different vocalists in for each song on this album. So they created this album and this concept and the first one is called a Collective Agreement by scattered Melodies and each track has a different vocalist. So each track has a totally different sound. It's so great. It's awesomest thing ever. And yeah, awesome is can be your word is? And then they've done several more albums since then. And it's just like so rad. So if you like a whole kinds of different music, great checkout, scattered Melodies on Spotify and you know, Apple music and all the things in the song that you were on is called that's called oh great. Vibe check the nearest one, he was single and it just came out like a month ago and it's called Vibe check and it is awesome. I look at totally funky. It's it's cold to ride song. She's a bath. She's a total. There's a video. See your videos on on Facebook, isn't it? Okay, you can check out her Facebook. So Laura, Hamlin it's definitely, super, super cool. So big question for you is what is your why like, why do you get up every morning? What is your why? Okay, that's great. I hate to be stereotypical but this point in my life one of my biggest wisest, of course, my son I want to, I want to be truthful with myself in order to inspire other people to be truthful with them, so I want to inspire. Yeah. Truth truthfulness honesty. And following your path because what else are we here for? Really I, I agree with Jim. Yeah, so I get up in the morning and I it's kind of like a I'm going to do my best today for myself and to to satisfy myself in a taking care of my family and raising my son and cultivating my relationships with my friends and the people that I love and my musical buddies and continuing to make music because I'm so expired by the music that I love, I swear I have my phone, it plays music all day long so I just kind of carry it around and then I'm in the car facts, I want to inspire, I want to do my best so that I can Inspire other people to do their best and to find happiness while doing it. You know, you don't want to work with, you can't just work. You know, you gotta do things that you love. Like, I like to Garden. I've got these beautiful tomato plant. These baby tomato plants right now, and tomatoes. Yeah, I live tomato. They are abstract I've got a bunch of different ones, but yeah, I do have some heirloom. I'm gonna have a ton of them to when they're ready. Is, I'll bring some over for sure. Balsamic vinegar. Oh, the whole mess. Tomatoes, are the best in the world, especially when you get them yourself. I know, my dad, my dad had this beautiful garden when I was growing up. But yeah, I love to cook. And, and spend time with my friends and my family. We sit around, we play games together and women, I get together with my musical family, and we play a game together and we get to perform for other people and it's just, I mean, life is great, you know, and it wasn't always so satisfying for me so but now absolutely 1000 per month is and it doesn't mean that everything is easy, but simple, but it's simple. It really is. When you get down to it, it's like, okay, this is what you do and this is why you do it and it feels good. You know. I love it. Yeah. Now you have to take a deep breath. Ready? Five years from today. Oh wow. What's happening? Five years from today. So if I said it's five years, so it's a 2026. Wow, may may say goodbye. So I like his question you have five years from today. So it's May 5th. Okay. 2026 and I say, hey Laura, how was your day? I haven't seen you in a while. What's going on with you? This is going to create it. This is going to create so fun. Yeah, okay. So hey Rob, it's great to see you buddy. It's been a minute, I know so things. A great, my band is doing great. We've got like millions and millions of listens on Spotify. We put out three albums at this point. I got to sing and record with Alison Krauss. It was like the coolest thing ever. Kacey Musgraves won't stop calling me to like, write and record with her. It's like so crazy and me and Miranda Lambert or like Entourage. Other right now. So and you're not going to tell me about the platinum record that I just saw. I just I just got my second platinum record and it feels amazing and people are responding to my music and my words and my experiences and I'm moving them and helping them and providing Solace and comfort. And you know, toe-tappin situations for them. And that's that feels great. Feels great. Rob. I couldn't be happier. I love it, Laura. Thank you. You gotta one last song in you just one more. Okay. All right. I sure do. Ye, all right. This one is on. You can find it on Spotify and look up Laura. Hamlin. Yes, please. Laura Hamlin fountains called waiting for. Like this, it's waiting. I.

You're going to do rock and roll sometime. I'm worried. I've done some rock and roll, I know yeah, yeah. Oh yeah. And you have that twang about you. Yeah you texted me a little hey Darlin. I'm like, oh darling, Grandma Kentucky. That's so cool. All right so first of all thanks for taking time and you're very busy schedule. I want to say that you really are incredibly off our cable and all the things that you've overcome in your life, just just spectacular and you're so inspirational. It's like really a joy to have you here. I think you're going to inspire so many people and I'm just really humbled that you hear today. Thank yep. So much for having me. I'm honored to be here and I got her to bring your guitar, which is so cool. So this would be like a VH1 inside the music. All right. Choice, you became a recording artist and gotten your musical chops going later in life. Yeah. And there was so much more in your life before all that happened. Yeah, so we go in the way back machine and where'd Where did this all happen? How did Laura Hamlin? Become Laura, Hamlin. Well, my mom's got video of me when I was to singing Twinkle. Twinkle Little Star song, my little pigtails and really my whole life. All I ever wanted to be was a singer and I knew it from a very young age but I wasn't really around musical people. So, for them, for example, the only live music I ever saw really is a child was like country music dinner theater, right? Okay. And and then, every once awhile at a family cookout wage, You know, somebody would bring a guitar and they would sing some old country songs, but I was always, you know, sitting there cross-legged and starry-eyed every time that that happened, but it wasn't very often. So, I did take piano lessons in junior high. I didn't really like it. It didn't stick, I was in chorus and stuff, but I don't know. Just I didn't, I didn't really have anybody to follow behind or a buddy who was encouraging me that much. And so at age, twenty-nine, I still hadn't, you know, taken up an instrument for reals. I hadn't really done any actual singing karaoke terrifying. Wow. Yeah. Well I'm going to take you karaoke singing Because That'll be amazing with like it's pretty now. I love it but you know it's funny cuz karaoke was so terrifying to me when it was the first thing I had ever done a it's still mentally. Like I get more nervous singing karaoke than singing in front of like a thousand people. I bet you blow some people away doing karaoke. It's pretty fun. In fact, I remember the first time I went to the legion up in Heber Arizona, a little Country Town up north. I didn't know anybody and I walked in on a Friday night by myself. And before I knew it, the keg G host were like choosing songs for me and like, kept giving him. I went back. Yeah, it was super cool, but anyhow. So, yeah, at age, twenty-nine, I decided I'm going to take guitar lessons and it just started up there and I felt really silly. I felt silly. I was, you know, I'm like to my teacher and my the oldest student that you have is this ridiculous. I was practicing all my little Mary, had a little lamb stuff and I, you know, I felt really silly but I just had to do it and I'm so happy that I did. Yeah. I'm so glad you did too. You really like when I first met lower I'm like, why aren't you like really famous? And the fact is people just don't know how great she is so the right person hasn't discovered her yet, but I'm going to do everything within my power, to let the right people meet her because her music is so incredible. You don't want, you just play just a little snippet of something. I want people to just get your Vibe and just how amazing you really are. Sure. This is a, you know, in honor of transformational radio, I love it. This is the song. Can you hear that? I can hear it, man. Sounds good. That I wrote called.
Why Is Bubba Wallace so Confident?
"Bubba. Wallace is on. And he. Rates the season. So far driving for denny hamlin and michael jordan in that twenty three car. I had high expectations going in the martinsville because the success there and how well i've run there in the past and how well twitter has run there. We just kinda miss sometimes going into these next fourteen races in a row that we have Let's see what happens. I know we're going to run top. Twenty hopefully fifteen and start breaking down the top fifteen barrier and and consistently get there. Then start so people are way there. It's only a matter of time. We're we're hitting all fall ciller. Cylinders aren't firing at the same time. But we're getting all they're all kind of sporadic so it's like once we get that doubt and there's a lot of potential of his team act. Continue to say that like that's that's one of the most exciting things as can be this weekend. Yeah finishes could be a couple of spots or overcooked it all together. We're figured out what we need to secure those fox earlier in the race and go five something much greater than what we have been so You know we're only increases in and no one's right. The ship yet for our team in they still have our kinks ironed out and little things that are holding us back you bunch of little things. Add up to one big thing. So we'll be just

NASCAR’s Short Track Swing Wraps up at Richmond
"It's time for richmond. Guess bill short-track season about the conclude. Here for nascar. no well. I love short tracks. I love richmond. And i love richmond during the day. I think it's a great race during the day. I think the groove widens out the drivers have options with the crew. Chiefs are gonna love because there's still no practice dj so you're going to have to hit the ground with what you think. You're going to run in the race and if you miss it early you can get laughed. They're pretty quick. So i liked it. My dry options to move around with the warm racetrack. I was anxious to see martinsville under the but obviously that didn't exactly happen so But it turned out to be a tremendous race. And i just love. The fact of watching different drivers go about navigating short tracks. And i'll use martin rex junior as the example. That only a couple of years ago that we wondered with this guy ever win on the short-track and now he's like fifty or sixty percent on these but what was the most impressive thing. Hardest thing that that driver comes up against is trying to pass teammate. Lead in the race for the win. You know not wanting to other people. You can be a lot more aggressive but he did that. That was textbook. If you watch the way that he worked any hamlin then made all of that happens. Fundraising watch and i agree. I love richmond and the afternoon with it hot and slid

Finding it 'cause it's a great social distancing. I'm sure motorcycling boating is the same how packed or the roads of motorcycles and the lakes of boats these days. Pretty pretty busy a lot busier than they used to be. We used to leave for like an overnight trip to aspen her or a veil or something on. Thursday afternoon to be trapped. Just get on with work at about noon and get out of here and we do that now and it's like you know we can traffic starting on Wednesday. The boats by Chatfield were my votes atn it's. They, they reach capacity by like nine in the morning on the weekends. So if you're not on the water by nine, you're waiting kind of a one on one off. The and but people are tied up in the League zones having fun and just trying to Trying to have some sort of like semblance of normal life. It is crazy salutes. I don't know where to start if we WANNA start with energy strong or we're going to start with. The merger that you did seven engineering. Why don't you you? You take the mic and you you start where you WanNa Start Lord have mercy okay. All Star with the energy strong thing that's Kinda. We'll go chronologically here. Energy strong with was Kinda founded out of A lack in the market that we saw oil and gas has always been pretty historically terrible about marketing itself and Really. Engaging with people that aren't involved in oil and gas to help them understand our industry and the products and services that provides so Kind of spawned out of Senate Bill One or prop one twelve, the the setback measure. That's where it spawned out of a Dustin case was was the founder of energy strong and recognize the. Hey. Like. We're losing this this fight. And it's not a lobbying fight. It's not the traditional political fighting. It's an online social media battle that oil and gas industry had no idea they were. They were running commercials on TV. Yeah. The typical mechanisms to try and get message out you know someone running along the creek senior love Colorado in why gas was great but it really didn't. Put any sort of semblance to what what oil and gas did for the? Everyday. person. So you know being on social media, I was on facebook I'm not anymore just couldn't handle it anymore but yeah. Let's say we'll talk about that after this. I mean everybody knows I mean all the sudden everybody. He became an expert on setbacks fracking and Blah. Blah. So. We were there to like there was no place with oil industry got together. It's very tribal. You have your upstream midstream downstream field engineering, everybody's kind of segmented and you've got these groups like GPA, pipe liners and. COGAN API and all that but nobody really orchestrates communicates across the industry wavelengths to to have a unified message a but our opposition does and they primarily did that through social media they said this is. Concerned. Parents. On the other side. So people that didn't understand oil and gas. Concerned they don't understand the facilities. They don't understand how safe pipeline has XETRA. They hear the talking points that you know oil and gas. Polluting going to ruin climate and and so forth. So. Put together energy stronger than we got together and formulated a loose business plan on like, Hey, we've got to get to other states in Colorado in the middle of its let's focus here first and then everybody assumes places like Texas and Wyoming Safe. But they're not as we've seen some recent A. Kinda of town hall meetings they're saying same story is here but yeah, I grew up in Colorado I've watched it be really safe oil and gas to now kinda looking over your shoulder when you talk about it so. We got this online group on facebook primarily going reach forty thousand members there were able to to really. Get people out. To. Town this another didn't. Twelve that that all went through right? As we kind of accumulated people. Then Senate bill one, any one came right on the heels of that, and that's when it was Realize like, Hey, we need to get down to the state capital. We need to go to these town hall meetings when he saw the at the go go OCC. And that was kind of were energy strong spawned and we've got it's totally grass roots to combat a grassroots effort against us. And we're just trying to educate advocate for the industry using you know kind of what you're doing and what Alex Epstein is doing is trying to use. A lot better you know. Really. Eloquent speakers but. Trying to just get as much data out there we can whether that's through publishing a newspaper article or getting on facebook and posting articles, get people aware and understanding what's going on. With me so tell me about the learnings that had because the key phrase that I heard that you said was grassroots and you know I mean obviously the end of the energy industry in Colorado put as I understand it between twenty five and thirty million dollars into fighting prop one, twelve and prop one twelve comes to an end, which was a significant capital expenditure lots of energy investment was. Put into that and immediately on the back that was one eighty one, and we'll talk about these grassroots efforts but but in your experience, are you finding that these that the the opposition oil and gas does that feel grassroots to you? Does it feel like it's just concerned citizens who are building a book and and building out talking points or what was that experience been like? Yeah, that's been. Great Question. So it's been. Really really frustrating. So there is a component of of concern people and I'm not going to try to diminish that I've engaged people that are opposed to oil and gas industry at various town hall events and at the state capital to try to understand with what's their purview wire they really they drove the state capitol after all, it's heated with natural gas to keep us warm from this the storm outside in February how could they be against something? Soaps so great. Deal is you know it's in our backyard we see pipes and pumps and process equipment flares, and we don't understand it and it should be here. So they are concerned and they're concerned about the kind of gas lighting that goes on around Elevated. Emissions or whatever. But then yeah, there's a very being where I really realized that it was beyond grassroots and really started to get orchestrated was the Irie townhall meeting I worked a full day.

I agree so wh when was the moment that you you're starting to have second thoughts. What what was the like witch cove in nineteen announcement is making you second? Guess yourself on on releasing or the band I guess the you know the band reconsidering possibly moving the date. Well you know what to be honest man. God I I wanna I know that I have my facts right on this before going down this path but that the creative community is kind of frustrated with what Netflix is doing because what they do they throw this giant money at Chapelle to get people over there for stand up stuff and then what they do is they do nothing but cheap stuff off after that they're doing nothing but cheap stuff. The comics can't get anything once. They've established it and that what they're doing to creativity is the throwing big money at big big things but when it's popular. Why do you keep throwing away that money that way? Well I actually got me a great Friendship and partnership with the Jordan brand. Hey are you not know it all Kinda works out. Well friendship with Jordan himself right. I I've read you telling the stories about being I don't know if it's weirded out but super super surprised as I am that Michael Jordan is a huge racing fan. Yeah no doubt He said that You know 'cause I was asked him you know how how he knew. He asked me about a ratio going on two weeks ago and this has been ten years ago and he says I don't understand what happened there and I was like. Wow you watch racing man and I've been ever since I was a kid. My Dad used to take me to the races all the time and just last wanted ever. Since so he'll he'll be down here Miami and GonNa come support me again and The last time we were in the final four was two thousand fourteen. He broke the family down. He's going to do that again. This past Jordan going to dance wedding. Oh my gods So he travels with you he travels around with you to support US specifically but how did the friendship. How did it form? What was the starting point on it? It really started at a Hornets game. I mean I was Obviously he sits kinda right there by the players and where I have to walk out During Halftime has to go You know pick up a couple of Coca Cola's is Right there right past where the players are at. So I'm walking by and he I guess he's just Kinda grammy or hey you know. Of course I'm looking at him and he he struck up a conversation. We kinda exchanged phone numbers. And we're Texan kind of for the whole second half of that game and they say that that was you know he's he's been great religious. A A great friend of mine and you know messages. Need on the regular saying good luck or good job or man Dan. You you you stunk there. Did you think to yourself the while. You're texting him. The whole second half. What the Hell's happening here I am I was I was? I had my friend with me right there in Obviously he's like wait a minute what what are you gonNa like. He's I can't believe this is looking at and so of course I was saying boy Dow but breath. Yeah he's just he's down Earth Guy. Obviously we both share a lot interesting golf. I come out came down to Florida for them. So it's been it's been a good fun on friendship way. Do you text him like. Hey Michael let's go fix the damn team. No I I know my boundaries and in one is to not talk about the orange. Okay well are your boundaries do include and again this is Denny Hamlin the Nascar Cup series championship. Homestead Miami speedway Sunday three PM EASTERN ON NBC. Do you have an indoor basketball court correct. Correct Yeah So have you been tempted to invite him or is that outside the boundaries. Well I mean I I've not. I may have invited him at some point. You know his Charlotte's main residents obviously mostly down here in Florida but Yeah I mean I know my limitations. You know. We don't look we don't like to look foolish. So why would I volunteer. Look Foolish and and have him over there just an embarrassing. I gotTa Tell Ya. Friendship with Jordan seems very stressful. You don't want to send the wrong thing or else it's over. No doubt it out to do you have any good Jordan gambling stories Well not none of the stakes that That's been in the media late later but We we like to have a friendly wager for sure. Can you tell me a little bit about what happened with you. Enjoy Lugano a couple of weeks ago. You seem like a reasonable man eve- even tempered but those things happen sometimes when racing. That are problematic. Correct I mean you know from my standpoint I made a mistake on the racetrack Got Into the side of them where it was at the end of the race where everyone the role was pushing and shoving and it was really tight quarters this at Nascar short track And it basically cut his tired out and and it was upset about it. Wanted come over and talk to me We were having a very civil conversation for a while but I don't think that I probably was giving him like the You know man and I you know I'm so sorry I'm so sorry type attitude toward them I was you know I apologize. That I wasn't over the top. And he I guess he just Kinda took offense to it and then he'll shovel the shoulder but as he was walking away not not as he was standing there and so I was like no you. Can't you can't do that so you gotta are. You gotta stick up for yourself and and essentially go after the guy so what level of sorry where you actually though like did did you. You were sorry yeah absolutely I mean I knew that I messed up I told him that I just misjudge the situation. And if that answered just good enough you know for him and I think that yeah really I think he you know. He's stated that he would do things differently. I don't know that I would. I mean you can't just let someone you know you kind of shove on the way on the way out the door and not doing anything about it so I think it was handled the way it needed to be any Hamlin. Once you've got a baby we got my kids here and they're starting to play with each other langer my lap so I just yeah. We're down here in Media Day in Miami Getting Ready for the last race and I want to enjoy it with them and spend time with them. During the time Roy for some reason dumped the baby a baby was not cursing. It was just a baby. I got scared thought it was occurs denny any handling with us the NASCAR Cup Series Championship. Homestead Miami speedway this Sunday three PM Eastern on NBC. When you look back so you've you've been very steady is is the big memory? If you have to choose one victory is it does it have to be Daytona. Because because of the tradition there. You've wanted twice another one. It's the biggest race by far as far as the prestigious side of things. You know one two of them One of them in two thousand sixteen was on a final passed. We had the closest finish in the history of that race You know that was a big one. But I'll be honest us with is probably the one I had last weekend was the most significant one of my career because we were in a win or go home situation we had to to win and we you know we. We didn't win. Essentially were out and we work can be part of the championship. Four in Miami and we stepped up to the plate and we knocked doc it out Denney put us at the post race celebration after winning your first Daytona. It was major. I can tell you this. I was not prepared for the the media. Day that that ensued right after Daytona in two thousand sixteen. I learned my lesson two thousand nineteen though I definitely did not go quite as it's hard at it but man. It was a tough plane. Right up I was sick for most of the day and between interviews it was just. It was a tough one. Well how much did you drink like. What was that nightline? Did you sleep at all. Well I don't know you know you can't you lose cam at some point right so you were throwing. Oh you got you got sick that yeah I mean you guys are once in a lifetime opportunities and he just you know I was able to have my team around and so most wins After the races are over the driver you know gets an in the plane. He goes home the teams in the plane and they go home and they're never together but with Tony. No no you guys use media the next day so you have to stay overnight at the track. Well as you know in the city so it'd be able to like go out that night and celebrate with them essentially like a championship. Mike Ryan is staring right. Now at your home on the Internet We're doing this to us so you're not bragging about this but can you sort of take. Take us on a tour fewer trying to impress somebody with your home. What what would you show them? If you were trying to impress somebody. Okay all right. That's a pretty easy easy. When I mean you can either go to victory lanes where there's putting green and a bowling alley and all that stuff and or you can go upstairs stairs? My favorite room has always been my media room Where we watch movies and stuff but it has a glass wall that looks into that two thousand Sixteen Daytona five hundred car with the trophy right there next to it? So it's it's like victory lanes you know. We have the confetti. The car dirty still right off the racetrack. So being able to have like that car. That's significant car. My biggest win sitting right there in the living room is very cool. My grind is just sitting here staring at this. How did that go over? Were there any objections putting it there anywhere else in the family. No No I had sole control of the building of with that house So I kind of did it in is oddly enough you know when I was In the middle of doing all the plans and all that stuff I knew knew that I wanted to have this kind of glass show room of of cars that are significant to me and my career But never knew like what would be that that. That's let's showcase car like I don't have a showcase car An oddly enough right before we moved in. We want to five hundred and I'm like well we've got the car now at school Denny Hamlin with us again Nascar Cup series championship. "Lineups for the NHL. Stop. Yeah. I I I do well tonight. C thunder. Would you would you? Do you want some money tonight? I'll let the tears two games still going on. But I had a piece of the eight seven insane Chicago Ottawa game in and in Chicago tonight. I would say normally folks this is the first sign of a problem if you're betting on the NHL and filling out fantasy lineups with west coast hockey game. You Daytona five hundred yesterday. You had the Denny Hamlin. No, no. I didn't have any Hamlin Riddick. The last the last ten an hour and a half five crashes, and that's why you can't get into the sport. I tried to get in. I watched the Daytona five hundred. I'm not locked in from start to finish every year. But when it's on I'll watch it each year. I think it's a big event. And I like watching it. I think they do a great broadcast. But you tried to get into that final ten laps. You can't. There's crashes left. And right. They can make a left turn like either. Learn how to make a left turn. What are you doing betting on that? Well, draft kings has a system where they do it. So I I get involved in that because it's good value for me. And I put a couple of bets on who to win. Now. I bet Kurt Busch. Kyle Busch finished second. How do you know anything producer Paul do? You know, anything about the stages in said, I have no idea because stage one stage one stage stage around that, you know, anything about the is less than zero. Okay. Mom, I mean and most people probably around here. No less than zero about a two, but they had the different stages. Couldn't even they must have changed. I don't remember that you have one winner. That's it. But it's a loses the drama loses the build up when you have the final ten laps would should be the most exciting part of the race there marred by multiple crashes. So I had a rough time Napa producer, Paul. Have you betting on it? You'll get in. Anyway, you get the NHL going on you got NASCAR going on. What's next will golf you been golf? Of course, are you serious? Get a bit on that dog show the other day he would have other big dog show. I got asked by Tim and by Bob draft kings for the Westminster dog show, which I'm a big fan of watching for about twenty years. Wait a second. This is a joke right now. I mean, come on the guy's behind the other side of the glass used to be the man dog shows and Taylor swift hats. What's happening? Let me into that. Oh, that's old school right there. Dr. I love dogs. I love my dog a dog show..
