"Have breaking news from john. Solomon of just the news that will be very very impactful to our capacity to actually wage was even when the generals done what they're doing john. Welcome back to america i. What is the story that you sent me. Just literally seconds before you came on air literally just broke so we have talked to lawyers and a minister representing several hundred navy seals. The most elite special operators are military trains in fact that caused a half million dollars just to train single seal so these are people put a lot of investment and trust in and they deliver with extraordinary courage and all the operations we know about there being told that if they don't get the vaccine the covert vaccine they will no longer be able to play with their seal team's essentially they will be sidelined and their seal cares will be over. This is very important because some of these sales already had a covert so they believe they have natural. And you don't need the vaccine and others of them have a religious objection to they. Do not believe that there's enough data on the safety to inject it into the body and they're asking for more time they're not anti vaccine because they take lots of vaccines as part of their deployments. They're just concerned about the safety data on this particular vaccine and re pentagon's response according to two lawyers and one of their ministers is that if you don't get it you're not going overseas again well. In van case capacity to deal with terror threats will be drastically diminished. We don't have unlimited supply of seals. John so this. This is a very serious on Impact upon our capacity to keep americans. Safe

"We advise our clients on all aspects of their wealth, including, of course, their investments, but also tax planning and complaining estate planning and a multitude of other issues. Now, often people have been focusing there. Lives on their jobs or their businesses and their families, and they're not necessarily planning on their financial futures. And then all of a sudden they start thinking about how to generate income or minimize taxes or Leaving a legacy and they're not sure if they're being completely efficient. And there aren't completely confident they want to become more confident, right? I mean, if you're not confident you want to get confident. So what do you do You call an expert who specializes in that type of planning because they're hoping to become more confident. Steve. What's the first step in helping a client become more confident? Well, the first thing that needs to happen is that both we and the client need to understand their current position and their goals, hopes and even their dreams. You start to uncover that the first thing we do is utilize our proprietary vision Quest process. What we do is we help our clients visualize and articulate to us their vision for their ideal life. It's counterproductive for us to start advising our clients and their money until we understand the big picture and what a client really wants out of life for them and their family. That's right, and we do spend a good amount of time on that. And when we meet with new clients, we helped them gain clarity on Vision for their ideal life and they had tremendous value from that Now. Once we have understanding of what they're trying to do, we can start analyzing their current situation and help them make smarter choices and implement better strategies. Now one of the areas We do a lot of work in his tax planning. So let's talk about that, As you know, it's always important to pay less tax. And there's a window of opportunity probably to pay less tax on your IRA. And if you want to convert part of an IRA to a Roth IRA, there's some compelling reasons to do so. Well, Roth IRA is a tremendous tour. Let's assume that you have 500,000 in your IRA and you are in the 22% tax bracket. If that IRA even earned 6% and you have to take out required minimum distributions. Each year, you'll be paying tax on those distributions. And even if you reinvest those distributions in a taxable account, you're going to have to pay taxes on the gains of those proceeds. Over your life expectancy. You could be paying over 500,000 in taxes and if that tax rate stays the same, and they are currently scheduled to increase in 2026. So it could be even more taxes that you would have to pay. However, if you convert over a few years that IRA you would be paying only 110,000 of taxes. So here, let's analyze that. You have money in IRAs half million dollars and you're kicking the can down the road. You know, the IRS is your silent partner in that account there waiting to get paid, and you either have two choices. You can Kick the can down the road and whatever amount they get as you take it out, and when you leave it to your kids they get or you could be proactive and strategic and say, how do we dissolve this partnership to pay as little tax as possible? And what Steve just brought to our attention is that I raised a tax on withdrawals, and so if you're pulling it out Paying taxes, but what everybody is still in there is still growing and all that growth is going to get tax as well. Okay, if you are able to convert that to a Roth than all the tax stops, it's it's like ripping off a band aid. And you'll pay a lot less by doing it that way that continuing to pay and all the growth, obviously, um, we want to make sure that we don't do it all at once and getting a high tax bracket. That's why we have a few years to do. We could. We could be doing 50 7100 a year and paying 12 15 2022% taxes. On that money and your kids are going to save a lot of money. And you're going to save a lot of money because they're already planning to raise the tax rates by 2026 right. The brackets are going up. That's right. I mean, right now, If you look at taxes, they're on sale teeth. Right. So these taxes are on sale and another big factors. They change the rules like it used to be. Your kids could. When they can hurt your IRA. They could continue to defer those taxes for most of their lives, right? They can't do that anymore. The new law is is that they have to take all the money out within 10 years. So think about this. What if your kids are doing well, right. What have you have a kid that lives in New York? They're making money or they live in a state where there's a state income tax. And they raised taxes. They could be paying over 50% taxes on that money they had heard from your IRA, so if we can dissolve the iris partnership 10% or 12%, and save your kids 50% and save you in the future. Even higher taxes. That mean might make sense. Now, now is the time to do the analysis because you can see what tax bracket you're projected to be in and a lot of cases. You're able to convert some of your Roth for only 12% tax. So to the extent you can convert part of your IRA to a Roth at a low tax bracket, I would strongly considered you do that. Now, if you want us to crunch the numbers for you. Show you how much tax you and your family can save by doing a partial Roth conversion costs at 866 wealthy. That's 866 wealthy. This is something we need to be analyzing every year when we update our client's income plan. Yes, Steve talk about what goes into our income plants. Well, having a written income plan is very valuable. Each of our clients have a certain amount of savings.

"Weekend speaks for what happened on then. You know, as we approach Memorial Day, I think from a historical perspective. Uh, but but better to prepare for the worst, and then then, you know, not be prepared. Now the police sergeant Union released a letter saying that they are overworked and that they need more time off criticizing the superintendent and the mayor's WG and Shawn Lewis is covering that, Shawn. How are you doing? All right, Happy, happy Tuesday to you. It is so far OK, so they wrote a letter. The sergeant union is saying that the conditions are demoralizing. But they didn't send it to the mayor, or they didn't send it to the police superintendent explain that for me. So, Jim Covino, who's the president of the sergeant's Association, said Just this morning. You know they've had Face to face meetings with the mayor and with the superintendent. So this is more of a public call. Kind of a warning warning alarm for the public at large saying, Hey, you know what we've way have these issues We want you to know about it right now. They say that they are about 100 sergeants down from what they are. Staff should be staff to have And the issues are that they're overworked. Yeah, you know, with the canceling of days off, some of these officers are working 67 days a week, sometimes two weeks in a row on 12 hour days, and Alderman Ray Lopez. I talked with him this afternoon. And he said that you know what, Once in a while. You can see that happening, especially when we have civil unrest like we had last year. But he said, when you're doing this time and time again, what that tells us, he says, is that we're not adequately staffing the department to meet the needs based on the regular salary that we already have. Have you reached out to police. I mean, what have they said about this? Well, we've we've questioned Superintendent David Brown, now three weeks in a row because you know this last weekend was the deadliest weekend after Only 21. And the weekend before was at that point, the deadliest weekend of 2021. So we're seeing this violence ratcheting up in the city and the police. Department. Publicly, at least acknowledge is that there's this issue and says This is what we need to do. We need to get these officers out on the streets now the police union, the sergeant's union. Even a mental health expert who we talked with a clinician who used to be a CPD officer said. That's not Where we think that should go. We need more officers on the whole, not more officer hours. While these police officers, they're getting big overtime pay checks. It's also taking away from their physical health, their mental health, their families stability, and that's not a good thing on the whole for the city of Chicago that investment on either end, I guess if we're paying the sergeant's overtime and also putting them in I mean, just in eight hour day, I would imagine in the conditions they work in a pretty grueling situations. Make that 12 6 or seven days a week that stuff exactly. And when you look at the numbers 2020 alone and you could say that was an anomalous year. Originally scheduled and budgeted for $95 million for Chicago Police Department over time, the actual cost for 2022 this taxpayers of the city 177 and a half million dollars That is a pretty amazing So where. How does this I mean, it sounds like this is a situation where each side is saying what it needs to say, But I don't see any movement on either side, right? And we're talking about attrition right now. Now, David Brown yesterday or last week was actually asked about the attrition. The number of people leaving the department of retiring are going to Suburban departments instead of being in the city of Chicago when he said they looked at the numbers, and they are right in line with normal operating procedure. I talked with that clinicians Dr Carey Steiner, a clinical psychologist who specializes in first responders, and she said, that's not the case at all. There is another mortar than the average number of people leaving CPD because of the stress because of the overtime. And she sees that there needs to be a wellness aspect to this CPD more than just words, but in action as well, W G and Shawn Lewis on the story for Shawn, Great to talk to you again. Thanks, Steve. We'll talk again. You're listening to the afternoon news. Hey, this is the time of the day. Do you guys ever use your phones for payments of things? You know, like apple. You can just scan your phone over a credit card thing. I only get cash when I'm getting a haircut, So I'm going to get cash from a haircut on Thursday. And it'll be gone in a week or two. And then I go. I haven't had more than a dollar in my wallet in six weeks. So you like touchless payment or not? I don't know where you're going with that. And I'm sorry. Did you ask questions? Yeah. OK, so all about Apple pie. I love it. For those who love touchless payments. A Japanese company is working on a Hey, there touchless payment method via ring, So it's a ring you wear on your finger. It's gonna be called the severing a smart ring that can act as a wallet and a Keith so the ring is made from zirconia. Either way, the company's working with visa for an initial run of 3000 rings, but I think that could actually be pretty cool. But you'd have to have a password somehow, right? I mean, when I use my phone for Apple pay It reads my face I put in my pass code. I'm not sure. I mean, maybe that will be part of it will be like an app slash ring slash something. Some people don't like the chip on the shoulder. I think a lot of great men and women have done things with chips on those over $500,000 as a nurse. Yeah. In one year. Yeah, Yeah. Oh, unbelievable Three jobs. I mean, she went to text you went where the work ran into the fire. That's what I like about where the money was. The work was more black. Crazy. Wow. For 12 14 months and their homes getting foreclosed on because they lost their job at the hospital. Because we're not doing the electric surgeries. Same exact industry. Same exact economy, same exact pandemic. And one goes and makes a half million dollars. Another one loses their home. It's just that's just human nature is amazing. "And he's making. I think ten or eleven million dollars so i i think i've been for a while because we can have been bashing ben a lot and you keep bashing been if you want to. That's up to you. But i'm going to back off on bashing ben because i hope that this move to center going to help him and you know maybe realize its full potential. He's seventeen better seventeenth. What salary okay. That's still pretty high. And he is the highest paid dallas. Start knowing it might actually like a hundred thousand higher. Okay so but still i. I think a layoff jamie benn for a little bit and i think he's played excellent the past two weeks especially he. He's starting to contribute offensively more yes. He only had two goals and two assists in thirteen games. But we talk about the cap hit in. That's always focused on we. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes in how he's leading this team or the other things that he's doing you know physically. He is dominating. You don't have to pay. I'm million dollars for that. As you say your head. You're not paying nine million dollars for that. So i'm saying need. Let's tom galati on here and see what he says. Hey tom we're spending nine and a half million dollars on a player on your captain feel about that. So i'm gonna jump off of that for for a little bit but anyways Like we started on face off in. We somehow ended on with demon. Been anyways back to face offs in this game Tonight the stars completely dominated the face off circle even better than the blackhawks did on tuesday. So we won fifty eight percent of the faceoffs compared to forty two percent for the chicago blackhawks so that that needs to be a staple in the stars game and especially when You know we're on special teams either in the offensive zone or in the defensive zone and that showed in this game.

Philadelphia Eagles Sign Super Bowl 47 MVP Joe Flacco

"Big news coming out of philly. Yesterday joe flacco agreeing to a contract with the eagles. It's a one year deal. Three and a half million dollars. Guaranteed the opportunity to win. Four million more in incentives. Now what does this mean. As far as the eagles and their draft plans remember. They only have one quarterback on the roster until this and that's jalen hurts and they have the six pick in the draft and as you see mel kiper junior and his latest mock has been taking the superstar receiver tamar chase from lsu which would be awfully knife or any quarterback that they have there but so does this mean mel again. It is not your expectation mel with us field. Yates as well here today. It does this mean and again. You're you're mock has them taking chase anyway but the signing flacco does that in your view. Close the door on any possibility that they draft a quarterback at number six. I think they would even going in before flacco. You think about. Joe flacco wise ian eagle thinking about the baltimore raven connection with the philadelphia eagles. Joe douglas and joe flacco who drafted where the want super bowl with the baltimore ravens. So there's that always that connection you can always go to. Guys are picked up later in their career. So for joe. Douglas bringing in a joe flacco you think about what he was doing with the jets in terms of the situation there. And then you've got the philadelphia eagles their same type of thing that raven connections. So i think when you look backing up jalen hurts right now. I don't think he's a threat. I think jalen that guy get jomar chase and go four with him and help jalen hurts and then reassess after the year's over that's what they will do that influence with the raven organization in philadelphia as a factor. I think it's a factor throughout the green and there always is joe. Flacco is a good backup came in the league. Same your matt ryan did and that ryan slow playing great football of course super bowl but Joe flacco did. But i think it's a good situation to have joe flacco there behind. The jalen hurts. Jalen hurts gets hurt. Your season's not over joke and still play. But i think this is jalen team right now. I thought it was carson wentz's team that didn't work out. But i think if you get your march help jalen hurts and then you make your decision air to this year whether in the twenty twenty two draft you have to think about drafting. A young quarterback failed. Same question to you. Does this mean in your mind that the eagles are out of the quarterback market at six. It does not greedy in. Here's a simple reason. Why i agree with everything else that i'm going to double back to that in just a moment. I just have long believed that if you are convinced. A player can be a franchise quarterback that if he's available at six. You have to at least consider it. If you're philadelphia. Now that being said all the indications this offseason from the previous reporting from more about the eagles plan to build around jalen hurts this year plus the signing of joe flacco which at least gives them a veteran option at the very least relatively modest priced by the way three point five million dollars. There are so many signs at the plan. This year is to find ways to make jalen hurts better so i still believe that ultimately the eagles are gonna be in prime position to land one of the best pass catchers in this year's draft a quarterback should not be entirely ruled out. And that's just me having seen the league long enough to know that sometimes teams do things the catch us by surprise even if they should not have caught us by surprise

"Thirteen ten. Kfi k thirty nine minutes after the hour. Welcome back to the show. Well our power to play sports. Poll question of the day did have a safety in it. Which position would you like to see. The broncos draft at number nine inside linebacker quarterback or safety well every single day. Almost it seems like a position of need gets eliminated and another one just did because kareem jackson signing back with the denver broncos zak stevens of dvr broncos joining us now zac days march madness and the broncos are like a completely different teams since thursday. Yes they are brady. The broncos are having a little march madness of their own tournament got rolling on saturday. George payton goes out signs all pro. Cornerback kyle fuller than today goes in has all pro safety kareem jackson and the incredible thing is one of these guys potentially could have got fourteen and a half million dollars combined or ju just themselves on the open market. Wouldn't have been surprised to see kyle fuller go get that but instead george peyton gets both of these guys back for fourteen and a half million dollars. Both on one year deals but only gonna cost the team fourteen and a half million dollars in fact brady just cream jackson. If the broncos would have picked up his contract option last week and kept him on the team on his original deal his cap that would have been thirteen million dollars. Now you get both of these guys for fourteen and a half or izzak. We're getting a lot of listeners. Texting in about the about the one deals. You're seeing this throughout the nfl. But that's that's because the salary caps going to be moving around after this season correct exactly. Yeah and the veterans especially guys that want to still cash in one more time. Don't want to D don't wanna take take a discount for multiple years now. So that's why you're seeing korean coming back for five for five million. Seeing kyle fuller only signed for nine and a half million dollars because of these It's more prove it years when instead of getting a long term deal this offseason which you would typically from a veteran with because of the covid and the salary cap going down. It's because of that interesting. all right. So kareem jackson zach. I gotta be honest. When they didn't pick up the option. I thought kareem was gone. I was arguing on on twitter and social media about the fact. No no. he's not coming back. This is over because they're going to try to go elsewhere with his money. But the way george peyton is made it a little bit easier. Was this ever in doubt or was this kind of like a shelby harris situation from last year. It was exactly that it wasn't shelby harris situation from last year and it wasn't it was in doubt now. The broncos always kept that line of communication open. But said you can go test the market. They tried to negotiate with corinne before they declined his option And tried to get a restructure back but kareem didn't wanna take a discount so the broncos said you know what cream we really liked you but why don't you go see what the market is like for yourself just like shelby harris. Last year he found out the market wasn't as lucrative. He knows vic fangio system he's probably going to have the most success for a one year deal in vic fangio system now getting to play nuts to simmons again and now have a pro bowl cornerback with him to pair with With bryce callahan and ronald darby. This is something where all of these guys can look really good this year and then kareem's that'll only help him and his value for after this season..

George payton george peyton bryce callahan last year five million kareem jackson Last year five saturday thirteen million dollars kyle fuller cream jackson twitter thursday one year Both kareem nine and a half million dollar ronald darby last week

"Our guys bang bang. I have demand himself. He is back jim. what's going on. Man here's what's going on. You made me a ton of money. I had to keep out the experts there. Because when someone's they'd be as much money as you have. What kind of peppered with the authentic language. I did exactly now. I know you probably hear a lot of people say you know what i did what you told. No i went and called my cfo. All right. and. I said listen. I just talked to this guy and i went tomorrow and i said i want hoping to get trouble. I said i want a half million dollars in this and you can buy over a couple of days but i don't want anyone who's this guy was your. Thank you and i studied before it wasn't just like you know i didn't just off the tournaments but said this guy is compelling i even use and i don't know whether you have any but the brokerage you suggested and i mentioned the money because it's never happened to me before i bought a lot of stocks in my life but i wanna thank you. Some the reason i called is it. Can i please come on your and thank you because it happened. It happened just as you said. It also happened much faster than you said. But i'm very grateful. Grateful mike kits so thank you very. Well listen as as many people who watched our first episode together i think noted The most compelling piece of it was how open minded you were and how intellectually curious you are on. I think that is something that people forget is important in the investing world. So i can yell and scream from the rooftop all. I won't but it takes courage and conviction for you to do something about it. So it doesn't work invoked by the way i mean you can say well i'm sucking up sucking and just a tremendous respect. A lot of what you said to me. I of course told others and is there things that you would say. I mean i always do the door. So limited number. I always knew that there should be protection. And i regard it as an asset class. But i i have for years said that you should have go and i think what i had going for me was the recognition. That what you're saying is what i really searching for with gold. All but gold media goal is that is subject to many vicissitudes is subject to a mining issues. It's frankly are subject to fail in many cases. Where do you think that's what's going to happen. Do you think that people are gonna drop gold by bitcoin. Or what do you think's gonna happen now. If they listen to me going to drop goal. I've been saying kemper senegal since one thousand nine hundred eighty three and now say five percent gold piper centric and. I did not say that before. I talk with you. I had thoroughly research. I was skeptical on our skeptical. Frankly because i said you know what. I thought okay with my goal. This is the dog new tricks thing that i want. I run up against with the web with the wall street. People like they're constantly saying. Oh listen you know. You're old baby boomers forgotten. I guess to do with how young your mind is. And i listened to you a friend of mine go said i heard you pop a cup hops. The smartest damn straight and do what matters is how old you are. It's whether you're young enough in hearing someone who knows more than you and gonna love. What you have to do is accept the fact that someone who's more now we did in school. It's funny you chemistry and you guys were juice chemistry. And you're going to get blown. I walk into a bitcoin class. What do i think more than the bitcoins i. It's different from chemistry class. No different from an engineering class. I will do the progress. M when i got not schooled but talk by i said what am i doing not protecting myself in what i have been saying. That people could be hyperinflation. But even if there's just plain old inflation why not get in and i did. The thing that have is confused about was was this notion that help your currency versus asset class. Because i think that i am. I'm conflicted and i'm conflating. You can help me say what it really is is. I think that there's three things people are using it for right now right so you have people who are using it. As a medium of exchange people are using historic value and people using it as a speculative asset right. Those three things serve different uses for different people. But i think that a currency obviously historic value. It's hard to deny that people are storing value. I think that's pretty. Well accepted the digital whole narrative. And then when you look at like on chain transaction volume right in some days now. It's ten twelve fifteen billion dollars in a single twenty four hour period of transaction volume. That's putting it into trillions of dollars on annualized which know visas. These guys are eight to twelve trillion dollars in annual volume. So you're talking about maybe twenty five to fifty percent of the largest card networks in the world Super using it now. What they're using it for is very hard to determine but they're using some sort of medium of exchange and then i think the third one and probably the one on focuses on is the speculative nature. People are absolutely in some cases buying it because they think it's gonna go up in us terms and they're going to sell it at a profit later. It's i think that what we gotta figure out here is what's the dominant use case or. Most people speculating or most people using it as four value or most people using it needham of change. My guess is when you look at the data. Sixty percent of bitcoin hasn't moved in the last twelve months. So that tells me that the majority is being used as a store of value over everything else today. Now what happens in the future will find out. But that's how i kind of think about from a use case perspective is it. A currency is an asset. will technically. It could be both right right. Well you know for me because of my my here. Something is all dog. I always said the people. Listen if you could ever ever ever be a situation where you can play with the houses money you take what you put in then your blast and you never have to touch it. And that's what. I'm don neurological may have only took. That took out the money put in. But now i've been i'm never going to touch upon. I'm not. I may never because you traced data scenario for those of us who those of you that watch it you chase down scenario. That doesn't stop at one hundred thousand and a lot of people laugh. I didn't it. Was the twelve thousand. And i started thinking i've gotta get in before it got to fifty and i went home and told my wife i said lisa. I'm doing this thing. And she said why described there since fiber talk. You sound mesmerized. I said no. I i sent. Educate these are two different things. It's not been as rush. It was educated and the course that you laid out made me think you know what it isn't just a car. I borders currency. But i realized it was the store value and a better store value i was using and did i have the belief that it could grow up. Go and i did believe that. It could be speculative staying power but more importantly what i realized is ideal with the company square and instead of saying that they arrive this way. I knew that this cash app people kids are buying a little business. Schnitzel is gone. They're buying a slivers of bitcoin. And i said to myself you know what i want to be with them because they represent future but i also recognize they may be doing for whatever reason but i can be part of that way too and not feel that we've is is a boss. It's not was speculation. Not after the way that you late young you laid it out. And i am sure that you can lay it out for just in one minute. You've gotta just lay it out again or capsule probably not fair but why you know exactly what may be portrait.

Top 10 players signed by Patriots

"Talk about the Patriots. The the Patriots grabbed everybody's attention by making move after move after move after move. Like we're watching it over agency going off. How many people are going to bring in its kind of unbelievable how many starters they've added? And so I count they added ten players that I think are very very significant to their team next year. In fact, I would say pretty clearly the Patriots are back and a lot of people saw this coming, you know, but they are going to be a force in the NFL next year here is my list my nerdy list of the ten players the top players. They added that are very significant to their roster next year. The first two are massive. It will reshape the entire Patriots offense. They added two tight ends Johnny Smith and Ed Hunter Henry. To Johnny Smith signed from Tennessee. He signed a four year deal worth up to fifty million dollars. That's Thirty one point two five million dollars guaranteed and he's only twenty-four years old. So that's Monday. That's a really gigantic Marquis franchise player. He cited the reason why it came to New England is cuz he loves Bill Belichick. He's got great respect for him. And I want to point out of all the everybody I'm about to talk about these shows to be in New England Bill Belichick got his kind of guys who sought out New England wanted to be there and wanted to work hard and win a Superbowl. I think it matters. It's very very exciting. These are not with Josh Gordon's or what's the other example Phillip Dorsett who they made a move for and they're not really like that. You think they fit they don't work out know. These are guys who all chose to be in New England who wanted to win a Superbowl. I really want to win a Superbowl. These guys went out of their way to be New England now the other tight and they brought in With twenty-six-year-old tight end Hunter Henry from the LA Chargers got a three-year deal twenty-five million dollars guaranteed. It's worth up to thirty seven point five million dollars total if he meets all those incentives. They also added two wide receivers the Patriots brought in Nelson agholor to a you got a two year twenty six million dollar contract East twelve years old. Now a lot of people do not like this move and I I get it Nelson agholor is not the most flashy player in the NFL but I think if it's very well with Cam Newton, he's good at he's not going up and getting the ball. He's got good hands did some stuff of the Raiders that I think deserves your attention go watch what he did with the Raiders and I just I'm like, huh a lot of good plays. Okay. I understand. I see the potential Bill Belichick and the Patriots would see and Nelson agholor go will give the guy a good contract, especially considering the Patriots have like our desolate at wide receiver. They need help. They got home. Who is awesome but he can't do everything by himself from the slot. They have n'keal Harry who n'keal Harry. I I think he's going to pop. I think he's going to progress and keep getting better. But she's not a number one right now. So on top of the page where it's also added Kendrick Bourne guy from my local area actually went to Eastern Washington University 25 years old. He's coming from the San Francisco 49ers. He got a three year deal worth twenty two point five million dollars. Now another thing the Patriots did they also added they signed Center Ted carriages and they traded for tackle Trent Brown. So this is the new Patriots offense right now. They've receivers Nelson agholor, Julian Edelman Kendrick born and kill hair is its own nuclear Aguilera. I'm doing my best. It's a hard game to say. They also have Sony Michelle running backs for any receivers Sony Michelle at running back and improved offensive line. Cam Newton at quarterback who I get why people doubt Cam? He's a former NFL MVP and with when you put cams Talent with a lot of weapons including two outstanding tight ends Hunter Henry Smith, right man. I'll tell you what I look at the Patriots offense and think two things immediately number one. Everything is going to run through their brand new Titans. Their entire offense now is probably going to drive down the seams of the field right up the middle. They're going to use our tents heavily lot of play-action again. I am scheme wise things will look a lot like the page words did back in the day when they had drunk and Aaron Hernandez together to start tight ends. Now number two. I feel very very confident with Cam Newton as the Patriots quarterback and it surprised me but I want to remind you that two years ago. Tom Brady was the page word starting quarterback and did basically nothing and the reason was there were no weapons there. He kept running into the same brick wall. His receivers weren't good enough. So, how can I think you and I would both agree. I like Cam Newton Tom Brady's a better quarterback than Cam Newton. So my point is if Tom Brady couldn't make it work with New England's roster. How was Cam Newton supposed to succeed? He was set up to fail will now Cam Newton's being given weapons is being set up to do. Well, I'm excited man. He's a former NFL MVP, he's hungry. I I personally believe Cam Newton's going to have an awesome year and it really is going to make extended one-year deal with like it was like three and a half million dollars with a bunch of incentives. I honestly think we're gonna look back at his contract at the end of next year and go. Can you believe the deal they got on Camden he played so well for no money. I really think he's he's a guy who can didn't play well enough wage. Last year to earn a new gigantic contract. So he's going to have to show what he can do this year and maybe earn more money next year but I think cam is poised to do very very well and make a lot of money and win a lot of games in New England

Vaccine withheld from hospital that gave Trump Tower shots

"Have to move on to this bombshell story. That blocked club first reported this week. Loretto hospital in austin before we get into all the impropriety here today. They said that they are reprimanding their coo and their ceo for these improper. Vaccinations kelly bauer. Do we know what reprimand means. In this case. I have to to politicians who are on the hospital's board of directors. And all they would say at the time was that we put out this statement. We're not going to elaborate on rep. What it means to reprimand so we are still trying to figure that out and see what could be happening to the ceo coo. Okay so the first story that you published here was that they the coo. Dr notion med has an apartment in trump tower about two and a half million dollar apartment and the hospital. That has these vaccinations for folks on the west side. Improperly administered vaccinations to trump tower employees. Is there any evidence of some sort of trade-off or exchange or how how this came to be well. We spoke to leto hospital and their ceo. George miller says that it was actually him who helped set up this event but what we found is that right or workers at trump tower told residents that it was loretto hospital that reached out to them now. Loretto hospital is saying that its workers who reached out to them. So it's very much a. He said she said situation. But the city's department said they are looking into it and investigating why these ineligible workers were able to get shots. Before other people and also ineligible were cook. County judges and guest preach judge that also got vaccinated. And there's some different answers onto how that happened. Even though those were not allowed in the current phase as well amanda vindicated. You look at the board of this hospital. As kelly mentioned there's to state lawmakers that sit on the board There's a state lawmaker. Camille lilly that works for the hospital. This is a hospital that gets tens of millions of dollars in reimbursements from the state's medicaid program. Is there a conflict of interest. Here that there can be this much clout on a hospital board. I mean those are certainly questions that were all asking. What sort of favors might members of the war getting terms of the vaccines employment whatnot. We're we're not saying that there is merely that these are the questions to ask in. This gets to something that we've talked about a lot as there's been a lot of corruption of course in springfield and that is that there are really lax economic interests statements conflict of interest rules in then again to place. Where have devil's advocate there. There are those who say it. Is it positive when you have. For example he state legislator employed by hospital because that brings along a expertise. This is a citizen legislature. It is technically a part time job and the reason for that being was because you want to bring in farmers dentists doctors people with all different sorts of knowledge so there are certainly two sides to that point but given kelly's reporting the trump tower. I think that's what it is. It's just it's it's the who got it because these are. There's a lot to look into here and kelly bars. You mentioned that the city's health department is investigating. They've halted vaccinations to that hospital. What do you anticipate. They're going to uncover in their probe. Well we've heard from multiple sources and people questioning why workers at trump tower who are able to get vaccinated and not other hotel workers now. We've also seen that. The ceo's church was able to get vaccinated. This doctor arwady. The head of the city's health department said today that they are investigating they will not be sending doses to loretto hospital until they are confident. Those doses are going to be appropriately.

There it is a two and a half million dollar deal with some incentives tied into it. That's injury presumably would be the other scenario. He gets beat out for the backup and he's the third. Is that one. maybe it gets cut. It's a there's a chance he'll be the backup. Let me ask you this question though. Because it's easy and it's if we're making fun of mitchell way or mitchell and that's worthy of being made fun of i think but not this. He's okay right you know. He's making more than a lot of hardworking people. You know literally do in a lifetime in this bad year but they are in the end of these players these reaching the pinnacle of their profession. And it's a billion dollar profession. They make money. They're supposed to make. I mean to me. The beauty of the nfl's rev share agreement. Is they're saying okay. The players contribute fifty percent the infrastructure. The all legacy to have the trademarks team. You know however you want to think about that fifty percent we take the money in. We divvied up and go. I mean to me that means that you can't even debate if collectively that you were jones but collectively with the players deserve their millions and millions and billions ultimately. They do that said we can. Because they're making so much money. We can have some fun with it. But i gotta be honest. I think that trubisky getting resigned by the bears was closer than we thought. Because i would make the following case. Let me ask you joan. What you would have made the odds. I don't we didn't do it at the time but right when this season let's say the regular season ended and those that remember obviously foles got her trubisky came back in play statistically significantly. Better at that point. I would have guessed about thirty percent chance. The trubisky would've had been rinse we signed in some significant way. Not like a five hundred million dollar deal but a real deal. I think the odds weren't worse than thirty percent. What would you have guessed. The is debate. I yeah i would have said probably about the same because that was a lot of the discussions i know in and around chicago that day. Did he play himself back into consideration for the twenty twenty one quarterback job and when i see him getting beat out for the job. I don't mean that. As a slight m i actually think. He's a much better quarterback than people give him credit for. I think for that kind of money if somebody comes in and outplays him buffalo's not gonna be tied to that contract like if he would have signed for seven or eight million

Washington's number ultimately according to multiple spots is essentially after the sheriff. Deal heading into free agency. In with the alex smith reduction Or cap savings is going to be thirty. Dallas Cowboys Reach Multi-Year Deal With Star Quarterback Dak Prescott

"Salary cabin number for two thousand and twenty one is going to be twenty two point two million dollars all right now. Head dak prescott. In franchise tag again this will happen in a procedural sense but had to cow tried to go at this with dak prescott on the franchise tag for the two thousand and twenty one season. We've talked about this a number of times. That value would have been thirty. Seven point seven million dollars so the fact that the cow is now have him onto the books. We're talking about the value that is on the books in the books. However you want to look at the books whether they're e books or physical books whatever the case may be that value is now twenty two point two million dollars now. I know that we have all said some things about the dallas cowboys but they are not complete dummies. They surely budgeted for the franchise tag value. Because let's be honest. They came about twenty four hours. We think you know. Close to having the actually placed the franchise tag and maybe carried out with that prescott. So the cowboys have room for the franchise tag at the very least so you look at that quake matt that adam schefter was kind enough to do for you. That is fifteen point. Five million dollars that the dallas cowboys suddenly have because they've got this long term deal with that prescott. This is something that we've been saying for two years now. If you do this you can. You can kick this down the road. You can prorate it you can extended you can whatever term you want to put on it. You can spread the impact of the deal out of the signing bonus of the overall guaranteed money out over the lives of the contract so it doesn't hit you all at once. That's the one killer about the franchise tag is that it is fully and completely guaranteed in franchise tag is a one year deal so the value of it last year and dak prescott was on the tag for thirty one point. Four million dollars. The two thousand twenty dallas cowboys had to absorb that value all at once and they would have had to have done it again. Here in two thousand and twenty one but because they have adjusted that they now have fifteen and a half million dollars that they were seemingly budgeting for dak prescott that now they can apply to different areas. Maybe it is a safety. Maybe it's a defensive end. Maybe it's a defensive tackle. Maybe it's you know an offensive tackle. But they want swing tackled death whatever the case may be. We know that the cowboys obviously hold the tenth overall. Pick in the draft. They could go a number of different directions there. They wanna cornerback kayla farther patrick's retain do wanna take one of the tackles and rashawn slater as all this is. This is setting up and this is an important thing. I want you to hear me here and watch me here. You cannot waste this money. If dallas cowboys the whole point and getting this done with thac prescott besides obviously establishing having the best player on your team for the foreseeable future the point in doing this is to alleviate the salary cap space now. And i don't like the term when now if you watch us often you know that but you look state of the nfc east. It is by sudha. I mean the philadelphia. Eagles are a disaster. The new york giants doping daniel jones is legitimate. The washington football team has a great team but is void of the most important position of the game and a quarterback. Maybe they'd get somebody this cycle as we all expect quarterbacks to change teams at a higher rate than usual but the case in point is at the dallas cowboys are now. We're going to see this all day on tuesday by the way and we'll talk about it of course but they're going to be overwhelming favorites to win the nfc streit and you think about the conference that they plan is really a contender in the nfc. And i mean that with all due respect to the reigning champion tampa bay buccaneers. But you've got the bucks you've got the green bay packers and then who scares you. May maybe the rams you believe in matthew stafford but the point is thinking about the afc. I mean the. Afc has the bills and the ravens and the chiefs and the titans and the steelers and the browns. I mean you could go. A number of different ways. Did the colts have carson. Wentz ends up getting his act together and so the cowboys play in the weakest division in the weaker conference and so now they have this opportunity to really kind of take their future in the here and now they have fifteen and a half million dollars that they weren't necessarily planning on having use it and if they don't use it it is all for not so i mean we are all imploring the dallas cowboys to ultimately use this salary cap space. This is a very very very luxurious gift. That they now have been afforded that they didn't previously have so shattered of course to the dallas cowboys. Let's see here let's move. I'm i wanna talk of course about the bonus the dak prescott because well. It's stupid large. I mean it's amazing. Dak prescott has now the largest signing bonus in the nfl. You look at joe flacco. Once upon a time. Got forty million. Dollars matt ryan forty six and a half. Remember if you're on the fence about this value. We've talked about this before as well. Matt ryan became the first quarterback in nfl history to average over. He had thirty but to average at least thirty million dollars per year with his new contract that he signed with the atlanta falcons in two thousand and eighteen. That was three years ago. Dak prescott signed a four six year. Deal whatever you wanna call it. That was three years ago. They matt ryan signed that he was the first quarterback to hit the thirty million dollars a year. Mark prescott just hit forty but the reality and we've been saying this forever is that there are so many deals coming around the bend. Josh allens gotta get paid. Lamar jackson's gotta get paid. Baker mayfield's got to get paid extra calories. He's going to get paid the year after that. It's going to be time for joe burrow to finally get paid and when all of those players get paid this forty million dollars a year. Mark the dak prescott got this one hundred twenty six million dollar. Total guaranteed is sixty six million dollar signing bonus all these things that are currently the top of the nfl. The most in nfl history. That's the verbiage in determining that you're hearing associated with this and it's all literally true but it's all going to get pushed down because all of these players on this list. Joe flacco matt ryan matthew stafford at fifty million signing bonus. Aaron rodgers fifty. Seven and a half russell wilson not going to be a dallas cowboy now by the way sixty five million dollars. Dak prescott topped that all of these quarterbacks in all likelihood we'll top that that's the reality of the nfl things are always moving in one direction. It is up

Houston Texans' Deshaun Watson Could Lose Millions if He Sits Out the 2021 Season

"Okay. Let's start our. Nfl news with shawn watson. This thing is getting uglier. Who is it ever so they just let him go all right now just break up. Well he's got the no trade he just can't okay so as it appears to shawn watson is never gonna play for houston again obviously and if as it is also appearing the texans. Do not trade to sean here. We go with a holdout right so different numbers have kind of come out. Regarding just a huge losses that watson would incur. Okay so we're gonna try to go through this piece by piece the full scope of these consequences if he exercises his right under the cba and not playing twenty twenty one. So i if the two thousand twenty one off season has a mandatory minicamp and if to sean skips it he will be popped with a fine in the amount of ninety three thousand dollars. K secondly if the sean skips training camp he'd be fined fifty thousand dollars a day. Okay so alleged. Day day day day with forty days in camp and six mandatory days off. That's thirty four. Days that sean would miss at a total fine of one point. Seven million bucks crews k. Thirdly sean would be finding amount of the regular season game check for each preseason game that he misses so at a base salary of ten point five. Four million bucks. That's about six hundred twenty thousand dollars a game. If as expected the twenty twenty one season has three preseason games. He would lose another one point. Eight six million bucks okay. So totaling up for the entire offseason including training camp and preseason to sean would incur just over three and a half million dollars in fines if he does not show up. Now if the sean then skips the season and if the nfl like they've been throwing around are going to be rolling seventeen games for the regular season. He'd lose another just over eleven million dollars in base salary on top of that calculators out guys because this is just racking up skipping the season would also allow houston to recover to sean signing bonus allocated for twenty twenty one. That's at five point. Four million bucks in money that he would have to basically just give right back so you do the math correctly. Skipping twenty twenty one would be total financial loss of over twenty million dollars for him

It's gonna be a minute before the doses end up in cover. Douglas County's anticipated that we may not see an uptick in on vaccines until about March or April. The second dose is because we don't have a solid vaccine supply. We don't even have enough to do many first vaccines this week and so we were on a day by day basis. Yeah and if if you're a new general manager there's no better way to make a statement then to immediately come in and get a franchise quarterback that still in his prime. Yeah just ask the question. What would you trade for. Deshaun watson and i will make this easy for the both of you. I will go ahead and give you my answer. Whatever in the hell houston basically literally. I would trade them whatever they want you can name player a draft pick or a combination of the two and i would agree. I think from a team building perspective. That's the way to go.
