"Hi this is. Sandra ann taylor and this morning. Meditation is setting your emotional intentions for the day. Your ongoing intentions are important. Because they focus your energy and very specific directions and since your life moves in the direction of ria predominant emotions and thoughts setting emotional intentions is powerful tool in the process of achieving your goals. In fact most people think intentions are only goal related but there are many different types of intentions including emotional and energetic which are actually two of the most important ongoing intentions you can project since the universe returns the prevailing emotional energy in your life. A powerful positive ongoing emotion can be a game changer for you not only in creating truly happy life but also in achieving your deepest desires one really dynamic way to create this ultra attractive. Vibration is setting your daily emotional intentions. Of course it's helpful if you do this every morning but you can also do it at any time for any activity big or small even for such mundane things as doing the dishes or driving to work when you consistently intend joy peace or personal power in all types of activities your life and your attraction level will expand in the vibrations and be utterly irresistible. Today's meditation will program the emotional intention of joy which along with self love is one of the highest most magnetic vibrations. You can project. Many people don't think it's possible to have joy in their mundane daily activities. But this is an important choice. The meditation we are going to do now will allow you to see and feel and sense yourself having joyous experiences throughout your day. No matter what you may be doing. There will also be a time during this meditation where you can choose another emotional intention. Perhaps you want to program something like confidence. Self love appreciation peace of mind or self discipline. You can choose any of these emotions or any other emotional intention for any reason and at anytime simply insert the name of the emotional quality you desire and add that to the joyous intentions of this meditation. The more you use this process the more you will take control of the kind of energy you project and the more you will align your own life force with the resonant power of joyous universal forces. So let yourself relax. Now as i count backwards from six to one with each descending number you will feel yourself going deeper and deeper into relaxation getting ready to set a joyous peaceful and beneficial emotional intention for all your activities of the day ahead six. Take a slow deep breath now and if you haven't already done so close your eyes let go of all concerns as you relax your forehead and let your shoulders drop five. Let all of the muscles in your arms and baco loose limp and relaxed let all of the tension drain away completely for take another slow deep breath and as you inhale yet let your consciousness gently drifted down into your heart center. You can feel such peace and tranquility there three let all the muscles in your legs go loose limp and relaxed let all the tension drain away from your lower body your legs and your feet feel yourself going deeper and deeper into tranquil relaxation to you. Feel a warm wave of relaxation moving gently from the top of your head down through your body also way down to your feet and toes you feel so peaceful so calm and so relaxed now one. Just let yourself continue to remain calm and relaxed as you. Now start to visualize sense and intend joyous and peaceful feelings for the day ahead. Just let yourself relax in bed in the morning and before getting up take some time to bless the day ahead and affirm your emotional and energetic intention for the day such as i intend to bring joy to all that i do today. "Hi. This is Matteo Persona. Your Guide for this mindfulness of breath meditation practice. Arrange your body in a comfortable and stable. Posture either seated or lying down. Sciences now proven that whatever you do in the first thirty minutes of your day determines the trajectory. Of Your Tang. and. So if we can connect to the stillness and silence that rests within. If, we can open our heart. If we get clear. On the direction that we'd like. To move throughout the day and then there's a higher likelihood that all those things will unfold as planned and will live the day with grace. And greater ease. Manifesting our dreams and desires. So. Let's get comfortable. I'd like to share with you my morning practice. "Hi Nancy Welcome to the House Meditations podcast. I'm so happy to be here. Thanks for having me Yeah it's Nice Nice Nice to bring you on You recently wrote this book that I have in front of me setting boundaries will set you free the ultimate guide to telling the truth creating connections in finding freedom. So I've been studying and reading this book over the last week or so and I'm struck by how the name of boundary setting it seems is about empowering ourselves like really in a sense learning how to reclaim. Our personal power and freedom maybe. That we've lost a number of different reasons, but it's sort of in this in his reclaiming that's what I'm sort of point a lot out from the book. So today, I'd like to I'd like to unpack boundary setting with you I and then discuss how boundaries and meditation practice can inform each other. Grade K. how's that sound great. So so so I like you know logistic Andries I wanted to get get to see the if I understand it correctly. So can you tell me just like straight what you mean by setting boundaries or boundary setting? Yeah. So The L. I define. The way that I work with the word boundaries. So I boundaries are the limits that we define for ourselves that we determine for ourselves around what we will or will not do not tolerate Miller will not accept. So boundaries are very, very personal. and. Boundaries. My boundaries are always first and foremost between me and me even if they involve another person. And so this is where the empowering piece really gets anchored. You know. So often I hear my clients say to me something like you know I set a boundary, but they keep crossing it. So. that. They the day right. So you know one of the really fundamental pillars of my work is to. Look at the way that if our boundaries are being crossed, we're actually the one crossing it. So from there. Since my boundaries are between me and me. If my boundaries crossed I'm crossing it and it's not anyone else's job to uphold our honor or respect my boundaries. It's mine. So that moves me right out of blame victim into responsibility and empowerment

The president has instructed us to come up. On the amount of stimulus they're willing to pass. Come up significantly, so we have come up from the $1 trillion deal. Wow. He also told Fox business he sees the stimulus bill costing between 1.5 and $2.2 Trillion. He also said that he and Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, spoke with the president before they had their meetings on Capitol Hill and Trump has already said that he's willing to pay up to $1.5 trillion to pass the paper pass a bill that big and also remember the Democrats. The Republicans Trump Mr Mnuchin. Larry Kudlow, the White House chief economic advisor have been talking about Let's do some targeted stimulus. This country brings us right back to the airlines. Why This is so highly visible. What It seems to be the element that is putting the pressure higher now for them to do something. Maybe this week.

Actually, it's only like three years ago, I would say when I was living there every morning, there was another thing, which was absolutely impossible to imagine the day before music concerts. What? I knew somebody who was trying to learn an instrument. He had to drive to betrayal every week, 500 kilometers to get one lesson. And then when he came back, his family criticized hip to say what you wanted to do Music. I mean, people who do music. They also do other bad things. Like meeting women or drinking or other things, which are Haram Haram, meaning forbidden. It's so yes, on this person now is one of the hay started. A great career is a musician. Matteo Pistono On How To Meditate
"On today's meditate episode, our focus is going to be on our posture how we arrange our body so that we can comfortably meditate. The two most important aspects for settling into a formal meditation practice are stillness and comfort. A motionless body is a conducive container like the most conducive container for meditation. But allowing the body to be absolutely still can be a challenge for many of us and isn't always comfortable for sure. Still if we arrange our body in the most comfortable position for us either seated or lying down. Once, we find that position. We can just let our body be without fussing adjusting is just absolute stillness. And with a little effort and perseverance, we can find comfort and ease in that posture. We cultivate stillness in. The. Body in meditation. Because when we moved the body, it tends to stir up thoughts and thinking which may lead to this tract mine, and while we're not trying to block thoughts while meditating, we are trying to minimize distraction. We have all kinds of experiences mental and physical in meditation and pain will sometimes arise in the body. And while we're not looking to have discomfort or pain when we meditate oftentimes, pain provides the context for us to learn about our reactions and ourselves I'll discuss this a little more just just a little bit later. One of the most common meditation techniques in the Buddhist tradition. is known as body scanning. It was one of the very first methods I win which I was introduced to meditation. Body scanning that is through scanning, the body gathered our attention, which is so often scattered outwardly chasing after sights or sounds or scrolling on our screens or our thoughts we gather that and we redirect that attention. We collect our attention, bring our mind into our body, and then slowly scan the body to feel the physical tack thousand stations that are happening right here right now. This technique tends to release the body from tension and the mind from stress, and for this reason, it's often a preliminary to a person's meditation practice. But body scanning can also be a complete practice by itself and. The nuns and Burma and Thailand, and elsewhere who have used this this method as their principal meditation practice for their entire lives. The method or technique of body scanning is actually quite simple. We place our attention for few moments. On different locations on the body. So, in where we place it is the size of it is sometimes they say it's about the size of the babies handprint right so so quite small location on the body, and then we feel whatever tactile sensation is present. Tingling numbness maybe warmth coolness itchiness hardness, or softness. then. We move our attention to another location. Continuing like this in a set pattern over the entire body. And what we do is we observe the sensation in a raw and direct manner. We aren't thinking about the sensations or questioning what we're feeling. We don't have to even name or label the sensation were simply witnessing or observing sensation in a very open. And relaxed manner. At, the same time as as we're observing that the tactile sensation. Were also noticing how they change how those sensations change, how they shift, move, arise, and then dissipate. and Ask for observing them. We may notice unaccompanied sense of a like or dislike. Like right some sensations may be pleasant others may not be so pleasant some sensations may be neutral whatever the case is. We just observe each tactile sensation. and. If there's an accompanying pleasant unpleasant neutral feeling we observe that too. So we're not trying to push away sensation or trying to change it. But. We don't have to ask ourselves is this pleasant or not? We just observe in a very relaxed and attentive way. So sensations change moment to moment our our day to day. We don't have the same sensations all the time. Perhaps we feel our foot throbbing one moment and then served transitions into a soothing feeling. Even even the throbbing feeling itself. Is an example of change. So so the idea is, can we watch this process of change happening?
Breath work to Heal Our Heart
"I want to introduce you to the breath work pattern that we are going to be using during this journey. Remembering that this breath is for transformation it's for release for letting go. It's different from relaxation and it is more continual. It is deeper and it is more profound. So find yourself lying down on a yoga mat or on your bed wherever you find it is most comfortable for you. Keeping your legs stretched out in front of you and less you struggle with lower back pain. Then you're free to bend them up. Having your palms facing upwards. And just let yourself. Be At feel into the ground. Having. Your eyes closed palms facing up. So important before. That we just check in with our hearts. Open our hearts. I love to say to myself before I breathe. Thank you I love you. Thank you I. Love You. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for showing up and doing this work. And I love you. It's amazing what happens when we speak softly and gently and kindly to ourselves it's so beautiful. It's so nourishing. So. What we're GONNA do is we're gonNA start our three breath pattern. So this breath is done through the mouth only. So the technique that we use is through the mouth only. So WanNa take one hand place your left hand on your belly place your right hand on your chest. When we actually go to do the patterns were not going to be putting our hands on our body. They'll be at our sides, but I just want to get you familiar with how it feels. So it's a three breath pattern and it sounds like this. It is all through the mouth not the knows. The first breath is when we suck in the air from our belly. The second breath is when we suck in our air from the chest. And the third ex hale is all through the mouth. So, what are you ready just come along with me Just keep breathing. You may notice your. Minds, getting a little busy. You may notice yourself getting dizzy right away. That's totally normal. Just keep breathing. Now. Place your hands down at your side. That's it. Just, keep reading you are safe to breathe your safe to feel. Today. We are working on opening up our hearts vase for healing. So, often, we have a closed down hearts potentially we've experienced so much heartbreak so much pain so much stress in our lives where. Sometimes. You just don't feel safe to be in our heart and live from our heart. And I just want you to take a deep breath right now. I just want you to feel in your heart space. Feel into the power, the frequency the love. That is so abundantly there. Everything becomes so much more clear when we are living from that heart centered place.
How the North Bay Became 'Wine Country'
"To answer Michael's question about when wine country got start and how it became. So popular, we brought in reporter Christopher Beale Hey Christopher Hay alluvia. So let's start with when wine grapes were first planted in the North Bay. When was that all the way back in eighteen twenty three the Spanish created a mission in Sonoma's. It's the first place where grapes were intentionally planted in wine country but the wine made from these grapes was Sacramento Kinda like alcoholic. Grape juice used in church, not what we would recognize as wine, and then in eighteen thirty s some of the early European settlers in the NAPA sonoma valleys would have grown some basic wine grapes as well. Now, when does the wine country that we think of today start to take shape for the sake of the story let's start in eighteen forty California is ten years from entering the Union and this guy named Charles Krug arrives in San Francisco. Crew was a German after the revolutions of eighteen, forty eight in Europe the comes into San Francisco. It was the editor of a German language newspaper in San Francisco. That's Jim Lapsley he managed agricultural continuing education at UC Davis for more than thirty years with focus on wine-making. Now, after a few years in San Francisco Charles Krug gets married and ended up as a dowry getting quite a bit of land. This is the area just North of Santa Lena where the Charles Krug winery is located considered. It'd be the first commercial winery in Napa Valley. The wine country story is really one about marketing and innovation, and this Guy Charles crew gets credit for a lot of the early innovation and wine country including being the first to use a cider press, which is kind of like a slotted barrel to press wine grapes before that grapes were generally crushed by people's feet. When California entered the union, it was a place where we could grow grapes because the climate was quite similar to the southern Mediterranean. It was dry during the summer it had wet winters and differ grew very well here in California. For, is a species of grapevine. It's used to make wine after the early success of pioneers like Cruyff people began to plant grapes and produce more wind and the NAPA and sonoma valleys. But this was still considered low quality table wine and it continued to represent only a fraction of the US market mainly because it was still cheaper for east coast consumers to import wine. From Europe by boat, then from California by train. But that all changed in eighteen, seventy five, the US government stepped in and increase the tax on imported European wines to twenty cents a gallon which leveled the financial playing field for California's wine producers, and as a result, the wines dig it imported from Europe can be much more expensive wines and oak wine that was everyday drinking. That became the from California. Now. It wasn't a linear march from this moment today. The wind industry suffered a few major setbacks over the years but one way or another managed to survive them. Here's a few of the important ones I wine country was almost destroyed by bugs in the eighteen seventies. This is a microscopic bug that eats the roots of wine grapes. "So, welcome onto the podcast. Samantha thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited. Yeah. I'm really looking forward to talking with you about meditation and in particular breath work and I thought that we might want to do it in that order as it seems to be the trajectory in your soon to be released book hungry for happiness, stop emotional eating, and start loving yourself that that book is coming out at the end of September. So let's begin with with hungry for happiness this the book I I read it It's it's part healing memoir. Can Apart guided introspection and meditations and and also this sort of. Part can a best friend encouragement like you're like this not really a coach like this like your your girlfriend come on. Let's do this. You know so. Can You? Can you tell us about your healing journey that we read about in the book? Absolutely I love how you explain it like that you know my my intention for Reading For writing that book was to write it to just my best friend you know that that felt sense of. I understand you I get it. I was there I know how terrible it can feel when you are in a battle with food in your body. So I'm grateful that the final product came out like that. So I grew up as a dancer and actress when I was quite young and dealt with all kinds of body image issues growing up. I can remember being very young in the bathtub just feeling. This. Felt Santa, feeling, discuss it in my body, which was a feeling that I felt often when I looked in the mirror at at young age and that then manifested into an eating disorder emotional eating restricting overeating all sorts of things when I was about eighteen. And I entered into this period of my life that I. Call My Diet Depression years where. I was on over fifty diets in less than four years and. Truly had no idea how to just eat like a normal person like that was a impossible task for me at that time, I can remember waking up some mornings thinking to myself like a hi, can I just can't wait to go to bed because the thoughts in my mind were so just honestly abusive and just my level of body image. The the severity in which I hated my body was just through the roof and so. I began trying to try to heal my my emotional eating through dieting. So I was going on all sorts of different diets, and of course, just making the making things worse. What we need to realize what I needed to realize that time is emotional eating and and disordered eating is all in inside job and the Maury trying to manipulate and control and mess with our food the worse it actually gets. and. So I can remember about ten years ago reading eat pray love and. It was a story where she went to Bali and she right? Elizabeth. Yeah and he liked poker with dicks. He she found this healer in Bali. That poker with East Dickson and Blah Blah Blah Blah long story short. So I'm like, all right that's what I'm going to do. So I bought a one way ticket to Bali I flew to Bali and I found this exact healer that she wrote about in her book I drove this I I got I got on a scooter scooter got on like a taxi scooter and drove to this man's home. And he barely spoke any English and he started poking me with his sticks and. He, then just has to be your brains broken. And I was like Oh God. Okay. What's going on here? And so he goes you think too much. You have too much thinking and I was like you're so right I really do. And so this was a point in my life where I I couldn't tell the story I had was I couldn't meditate. And I would say I would sit there and meditation and my brain would be going a million miles a minute. And thinking of all sorts of different things I would get up after twenty minutes and. Feel more stressed out than when I initially sat right because a lot of people's experience. And I know you're a pro meditators I, could've used you back in the day. So for me meditation was a challenge but everyone in their dog was telling me that meditation was going to be the path for me to heal my disordered eating will that mean such an interesting position because here's this thing that apparently has all these amazing benefits which it does and I know that now but I couldn't do it to save my

"Which was a classic. Louise had cancer herself. And she had used visualization and meditation as part of her healing as well But anyway so a like a year or two later we We one of the authors that we started doing live events and so we would have different famous authors. Come and speak with Louise. These live events and and some of the others that gave more Wayne Dyer and Joan. Borissenko was another person that game and she She had studied at Harvard and other places and she was in charge. I think of the mind body education things at Harvard and was seeing how meditation could be beneficial to people and so like I went to Boulder Colorado where she lived and audiotaped or doing meditations and including a beginner's guide to meditation teaching people how to do it as a learning. By osmosis. Right exactly. That's kind of my whole. Hey how's journey is I learn by Osmosis. I always say like. I talked to a waiting Louise. Every day for twenty years and somehow like people would ask me questions. I was answers from them and I didn't even really realize I was getting a but anyway so I went there. I recorded these things but I really like hadn't started try myself which is so weird like I was just learning about doing different things and an would say to Louise like all my meditation is like what I take a shower in the morning. I I gotTa Relax and get all these ideas and she goes to say you know you gotta like do like just try to do it and she would tell me all different times like. I traveled all over the world her and did all these different things at different times. She would say to me like oh you should try and like I might of black listen to the morning and evening -tations but did you have some resistance trying or I don't know I think I was so busy. Like of course would have helped me the most. I just did lane dire he. He's the meditate every day. Be around him. And we went and recorded like years later this this one of the most famous meditations meditations for manifesting and. It's it's awesome and so I used to do that like what he did that. I did that for a while and I was there when he recorded the and like I think. A million people bob that CD was a CD by that. That's like without unlimited up to but that's helped a lot of people like mad of us what they wanted in their lives and he used to have out his lectures people. It was a guy named Brandon. Mercer has so. He came just alert as a student. And so like we. I connected with them on the trip. Got To know him. A little bit and then About a year after that I went up to Portland Oregon to meet him where he lived him. And his wife. Denise lived there he has published yet now published so that's a whole nother story. I which I'm not going to hear but So when what we were up there meeting up. They're relying two or three days like we are staying out as he has like house outside of town and Oregon on the Columbia River. Really Nice Place. And we're helping each other with our businesses and talking about different things but each day he would go. He would say okay. Look I need to go out of date like no matter what we're doing or whatever as a okay? I'M GONNA take my thirty minutes. You know you can go do whatever but I'm Gonna I'm like wow like he like he does this and he's and and maybe. I should try this again. You know so. He was Kinda by motivation to try it again. And so I came back after that and I started off with my iphone here but I would do the Tiber thing and one of the things that Wayne Dyer used to say when he meditated before he went on stage he just his kind of mantra was how may I serve like. He always think of that like when his mind drifted away and started thinking of everything else. It just come back to how serve so. I said well if it worked for the unites of do that so I would set my iphone timer for like five minutes to start like five minutes and it's amazing like five minutes is a long done the five minutes and I'd be a and I'd go dry not think of anything and relax. I do like when I think of everything. Go How may I serve and five minutes seemed like eternity? Forget like if I did that for maybe three months or six months and then I did like ten minutes and I did fifteen minutes like six months later now I do like fifteen to twenty minutes and always do it a hundred percent of the time when before I write my newsletters. I always do it like for like it gives me like I duNNo. Inspirations ride them are open this sort of space for your creativity to arrive exactly so I try to do the twenty minutes every day now. I'm not like you for sure but I do like most days. I'd say like five of seven days. I do talk my twenty minutes of Meditating and actually I haven't really tried so much with the guided meditations. I was thinking with the new APP. A easy way to start doing so. I'M GONNA try more with the Guided Meditations. Some people very much resonates with people can really get in the flow. They follow the instructions and sort of it. It truly is a Guy. Through a kind of journey some other people found where they have the instruction and they want to just do it by themselves. They want to retreat into their own mind and they're able to sort of almost have that guidance within a within their mind and it just there isn't one better way or the other you know it is. It's just that it just depends upon the disposition of the individual. And that's what's so interesting. I find kind of so rich about Hey House. And our authors is that we have this entire library of knowledge systems of methodologies of techniques for so many different kinds of dispositions of individuals. So if you're really into affirmations I mean we have the Queen of affirmations we have Louise Hay and all her lineage individuals like Gabby Bernstein today right but if you want somebody like straight up a little bit more traditional meditation maybe they see David g or something like this. But so that's what and that's what we're GONNA be offering on. The podcast is is many different techniques. We're not saying you have to do this one. Yeah for sure I know like later like Wayne did is I am meditation. And the game popular with the special music design for jams. Lima and So a great big selection of different things for people and it was something seemingly The history. Perhaps you could clarify that. Brought with there was the guided meditations. But then there was using soundscape using this sort of music or even just buying your obese or all of these different ways of using sound to have people enter a space. Meditation like we still allow them the subliminal ones Sunday people just like they rather not even hear the words and have the music and some people like that and we. We did a bunch of different things with that. So I think it keeps involving you know as we get different people with different expertise and there are so many different ways what Jerry you know. Like how many different meditation techniques have you learned over the years? I mean literally hundreds if we count the techniques and also breathing techniques that. I'm very interested in. Is this sort of yoga breathing. And it's amazing because.

"There are so many aspects of the Armstrong case that seemed to be lifted straight out of the pages of a nineteen twenties. Who done it that it can be difficult to remember. Sometimes that the whole tale wasn't constructed by a novelist for our amusement. Tropes that we're so familiar with from detective fiction just keep surfacing probably the most obvious of these is to be found in the character of Armstrong himself as well as being a solicitor. He was a church warden. And a freemason a well known and well liked addition to the town of hay-on-wye he was married and a father of three as neighbours strangers and journalists alike said after his trial. It would be hard to find a less likely murderer. Armstrong's unlikeliness was even discussed by the characters in a real life. Detective novel detection by Georgette. Hair published in nineteen fifty. Three alm. Strong was a respectable little man. No one ever dreamed would murder anyone but he did so. It's no use saying the motive isn't strong enough. One says to another in novels at least it's always the person you least expect it? They were perhaps a few clues. Armstrong's background to his eventual fate. If one is willing to play armchair psychologist for a second in the best tradition of the amateur sleuth although by nineteen twenty one he appeared to be immortal of middle class prosperity. He didn't come from financial ease. He was born in eighteen. Sixty nine in Plymouth to a colonial merchant and his wife and grew up there and in Liverpool. Where as far as I've been able to find out the family's fortunes were decidedly on the wane by the time. Herbert was old enough to think about a profession. The generosity of two aunts enabled him to go to Saint Catherine's College Cambridge to study law and from then on he worked taught to achieve the kind of stability and social position that he hasn't had as a child. Armstrong was also quite small in stature even as an adult standing just over five feet in height and weighing around seven stone both court reporters and later authors made much of this suggesting that his lack of height and overt masculinity helped to make him into a murderous somehow but personally. I'm not sure there's a lot of concrete evidence for that he moved to the Hail Y era in nineteen. "If it is cold, we can choose warm cozy fabrics to comfort us. Think of the miracle cold walking. How wonderful it is to be able to get up and to move to another place by walking. Thank your feet for taking you so many places in the world. Then look at all the other forms of transportation. We have to choose from. And be thankful for. There are a roller skates and skateboards and bicycles and buses trucks, and automobiles and trains and aeroplanes and ships that sail upon the waters, we have our choice, and we take them. When I speak about the other person, I want to include the government big business. The boss or co worker Internal Revenue Service, foreigners. The school husband wife, mother, father, children, etcetera, anyone other than ourselves. We don't want to change, but we want everyone else to change. So our lives will be different. And yet, of course, any changes that we are going to make it all have to come from within ourselves. Change means that we free ourselves from feelings of 'isolation separation, loneliness, anger, fear, and pain. We create lives filled with wonderful peacefulness where we can relax and enjoy life as it comes to us where we know that everything will be all right. I like to use the premise that life is wonderful. All is perfect in my world, and I always move into greater good in that way. It doesn't matter to me which direction my life tanks because I know it's going to be wonderful. Therefore, I can enjoy all sorts of situations and circumstances. Someone at one of my lectures was going through a lot of turmoil and the word pain kept coming up in the conversation. She asked me if there was another word she could use, and I thought about the time I'd smashed my finger by slamming a window on it. I knew. You if I gave into the pain, I was going to go through a very difficult period. So when it happened, I started to do some mental work right away and referred to my finger as having a lot of sensation viewing what happened in that particular way. I think it helped to heal the finger, much more quickly and to handle what could have been a very unpleasant experience. Sometimes if we can alter thinking a little bit, we can completely change a situation.

"Stockpile grazing that we did and the less hey fading that we did we were actually maintaining better cow body conditions who the winter and conventional wisdom at that time has oh you try to graze in the winter you're going to lose a lot of body condition and then you'll have to bring him back on hey we found exactly the opposite and surprisingly we in the west year now we have clients who have quit making their alfalfa and behave and they're swamping it and their grazing swaths all the way through the winter and basically they have the same experience that it gets february march and their cows are actually in better body condition raising swath outh than they are when they're being fed hey and the difference is really market if they have been feeding hey you know in dry lot as a lot of cows you know they get dry lauded in the winter out here and fed high quality alfalfa hay jus the confinement and not having animals moving around getting exercise being in a more open clean environment their health gets better also so besides the cost savings we see improved animal body condition and also general generally more improved health sure so in we've kind of talked about a little bit of the culture of hey and how hey has been part of our culture for a long time you talk about in chapter number two of your book the high cost of making hay was there appointed history where the cost of making hey made it worth made it worth your time or has it always been kind of a something that would have been better if we were grazing.
