Ultraflex Football
A highlight from 49 - Week 8 Recap
"Welcome to the Ultraflex football podcast where we have fun with our friends while we talk about football. I'm your host, Anthony Sutton. With is me Rob Green and Ryan Wheeler. I skipped right over your intro, Rob. We got football to talk about. What's up? We don't need to say what's up anyway. Rob, we've been talking for like five, seven minutes before we even started this podcast. Did you cut your hair? No. Oh, oh, you just got it. Oh, wow. I was like, dude, it looks like your hair's cut. Oh, never mind. It's tied back enough. You can't tell. All right. Well, uh, speaking of haircuts, I got it for any bald guys out there listening to this podcast and those guys who, you know, should probably go bald. You know who you are. Uh, shaving with conditioner is the way to go. I never knew it until last week. Started shaving with con dude, my head. It doesn't hurt after I shave. Cause like when I use shaving cream, it kind of burns a little bit. My head shave every day. Soft. Yeah. Every day. It makes sense. Right. I use conditioner to the hair and it gets soft. So shiny, looking smooth, shiny cover your eyes. If you were watching on YouTube, but anyway, um, yeah. Shave with a conditioner for all those who are bald or should be bold. So did you try it on your face? I don't shave my face. I just use an electric one. Trimmer. Yeah. Anywhere else in the body? Uh, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I honestly don't know. I, I've never tried to use conditioner anywhere else. Shave my legs next time. I don't, I don't know if we've officially announced that we have, uh, a Tik TOK that we do put some shorts on shorts. That's shorts on. That's what shorts on. Yeah. We try on different shorts guys. Like, is that, I guess that is like the right, is that the right media verbiage shorts, right? And that's, that's for YouTube. I don't know if that is the same thing. Either way. We have a Tik TOK. So check it out. I did see on there, Ryan, a lot of people are saying. That you sound like an owl who cracks me up every time. Um, but all right, let's get to, uh, let's get to, uh, Ryan, what, what albums are we doing today? Oh yeah. Okay. So today, um, my wife gives us the albums. So today she gave me Gwen Stefani to, for us to do this. And I was like, well, do we do Gwen Stefani or do we do no doubt because Gwen Stefani is both. So I decided we're going to do both and we have love angel music, baby. Her 2004 album. That was Gwen Stefani. And then we have tragic kingdom, the no doubt album of 1995. Such a good album. If you guys haven't checked it out, you definitely should. I want to run through our songs real quick. I have what you waiting for. Rich girl, holla back girl, cool from her album. And then from no doubt I have spiderwebs. Excuse me, mr. Just a girl, happy now and different people, Rob. Yeah. I'm choosing to skip the Gwen Stefani album. I'm going to do just the no doubt album. Sorry guys. Hey, you, the climb 16 Sunday morning and don't speak. I'll try to sneak in the four from the other one. You can see if you can pick them out. I'm not even gonna say what they are. I've got, you can do it. We're all go around and it on this traffic kingdom, the real thing, serious danger zone and long way to go. So speaking of a long way to go, we're halfway through the football season. We've got the second half coming up here soon. So let's talk about football.

Police: Louisville shooter legally bought gun a week ago
"Police in Louisville, Kentucky released details on the weapon used in yesterday's mass shooting at a local bank. Police chief jackal and Gwen Villar Royale says bank employee Connor sturgeon bought the gun last week. He purchased the weapon legally from one of the local dealerships here in Louisville. The chief also says a rookie officer who was shot in the head while responding to the scene remains in critical but stable condition. Mayor Craig Greenberg says so far this year, guns have killed 40 people in Louisville. That level of gun violence is beyond horrific. And it's beyond anything we can and will accept in our community. He wants changes in gun laws. This isn't about partisan politics. This is about life and death. The mayor says they need help from state lawmakers in Kentucky and help from Washington D.C. as well. "Gwen was born in January of 1935 and Culver City California. As a toddler, Gwen developed rickets, a disease that causes softened bones in bow legs. She was often bullied by other children for the special shoes and corrective leg braces she wore until her teenage years. But Gwen's condition did little to dim her star quality. Her mother was a dancer and she encouraged Gwen to pursue the performing arts. Gwen started dance classes at two years old. A few years later, she was performing in theaters in downtown Los Angeles, and was hailed as the world's fastest tapper. When she was 17 years old, Gwen's path to stardom was temporarily derailed. She married James Hennigan, a writer at The Hollywood Reporter. They were married for 5 years and had a son together. After their divorce, Gwen left their child and her parents care so she could return to the stage. Guan auditioned for Hollywood dance coach, Jack Cole, and began working as a choreographer with him on film sets. She taught steps to starlets like Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable, and occasionally appeared as a dancer on screen. Gwen made her Broadway debut as a dancer in the musical alive and kicking in 1950. Three years later, she earned a role as a featured dancer in Cole Porter's can can. Gwen's talents quickly attracted resentment from the show's leading lady, lilo. She pushed for Gwen's part to be cut back. But on opening night, Gwen proved too bright a star to conceal. In her much diminished role, Gwen gave a stunning performance and then left the stage for her quick change. The audience wasn't having it. The people were so enthralled by Gwen that they wouldn't stop applauding after her. The show couldn't go on. Eventually, a producer had to go get her from the dressing room. When rushed back out to the stage wrapped in a towel to take a second bow. The role in can can earned Gwen her first ever Tony Award, and a reputation as a triple threat, with strong chops and dancing, singing and acting. Gwen's next Broadway role was as the seductive Lola in damn Yankees in 1955. She earned another Tony for bringing down the house with numbers like whatever Lola wants, which featured a now iconic striptease. Whatever Lola wants. And be too man. A little low once you was a perfect encapsulation of her uniquely comedic, yet sensual style of dance. Damn Yankees also marked the beginning of Gwen's partnership with legendary choreographer Bob Fosse. Their work together with Gwen is fossil muse, became one of the most celebrated Broadway partnerships of all time. Gwen's legacies inextricably tied to Fosse's choreography. But he praised her as a singular and individual talent. He once explained in an interview people ask if I created Gwen and I say she was hot when I met her. That alabaster skin those eyes that Bantam rooster walk. Her and the leotard, I will never forget. The pair worked together again as choreographer and leading lady in several Broadway shows throughout the 1950s and 60s. Gwen earned two more Tony Awards for her performances in the musical's new girl in town in 1958 and redhead in 1959. The duo also worked together on sweet charity, which ran for more than 600 performances and has become a Broadway cult classic. Through their many hours working together, Gwen and Fosse also formed a romantic attachment. They got married in 1960 and had a daughter Nicole three years later. But their marriage was troubled by fosses and fidelity. In 1971, the couple separated permanently, though they remained collaborators and friends and never legally divorced. Around that time, Gwen's career as a dancer was drawing to a close. But her final Broadway role would be one of her best remembered. Roxie Hart in the first ever run of Chicago. The show opened in 1975 with Fosse as director and choreographer. Though Gwen's performance was praised by critics, the show's run was ultimately short lived. Chicago would not become a real hit until its revival in 1996. After her onstage career ended, Gwen continued to work with bossy behind the scenes on his projects, including his 1978 musical dancing, and his 1979 autobiographical film, all that jazz. Gwen was by his side when he died of a heart attack in 1987. It was the same night his revival of sweet charity opened in Washington, D.C.. Gwen would go on to serve as artistic adviser for the dance review Fosse, based on her late partner's work. The show won the Tony for best musical in 1999. Gwen died in her sleep in October of 2000. She was 75 years old. As a widely beloved leading lady, she was honored by a ceremonial dimming

"Barry, I just thought I want to talk to you about so many things, but the main reason you came to New York obviously to be on this program is to talk about your brand new book, ignite your life, defeat fear with effortless faith, where do we begin? I mean, you got to understand something. When I interview somebody like you, this happens when I talk to pat Boone. Like whatever it is that we're supposed to be talking about, the history that you have. I mean, I want to tell my audience, you know, or knew if they've passed into heaven, some of the spiritual giants of our time, including your best friend for 40 years, David wilkerson. Can you believe that? Yeah. And we were nazarenes. We didn't know from nothing about the move of the Holy Spirit, anything like that. We moved from passing to California and Ezra in church. To Irvine, California, there was a nazarene church down in Orange County where he had to find a church who were hungry for a year, became church buns for a year. God let us into some reason church had we known recently to guide church we would not have gone there because they got that speaking tank saying I knew that was the devil. That kooky stuff. Who needs that stuff? And we walked in so hungry and all of a sudden God just confirmed he walked through the door. We sat there and we were just flooded with the spirit of the lord ministering just we soaked it up at the end of that service. We were introduced to Gwen wilkerson, David wilkerson's wife. What year was this? That was 19 that was September of 1970. Wow. Taking back 50 to 53 years. We met Dave a couple weeks later. We became friends and then for the next 40 years, we traveled with them all over the world, crusades everywhere, I got to tell you for a guy had never seen the move of the Holy Spirit and then being with this prophet who just he was the same off cameras on and he just this godly man.

"Exploring the Controversy Surrounding Cultural Appropriation
"I want to talk a little bit about cultural appropriation. Nowadays in the era of woke and he woke woke stupidity, there's this idea of cultural appropriation being a bad thing. Meaning that you are taking someone else culture as your own, I guess you admiring them. I don't know. The woke people are completely retarded when it comes to this. But let me reach you this daily wire our daily signals, article, 'cause I think it's invaluable to understand this and we're going to move forward and I'll give my explanation of what I think this means. At the beginning of the article it says, can white people enjoy the fruits of another culture to the moderate modern leftists, the answer is simultaneously yes and no. On the one hand left to say white people should be subjected to endless skin deep diversity in the media. Every TV show movie and video game needs to have the mathematically precise percentage of minorities. Or else it's advancing white supremacy. But dean on the other end, when a white woman says, you know what, I think that culturally braids, cornrows are absolutely amazing. And I want to wear them because I think they're gorgeous. I think they're beautiful. I think it's a great hairstyle. And then some people, the same lunatics that want everything to be precisely equal in their eyes, they'll tell you, oh, she's cultural appropriating. That's crazy. Gwen Stefani, who else was one of the Kardashians. I think it was Kim Kardashian. Think she had cornrows. I don't know. I don't even call the cornrows. They call braids. Where I'm from. But and they say, oh, she's trying to be like a black woman. These people appropriating black culture and then taking our culture and they making money off of us and it's stupid. Because you don't want to go down that path as a black person. Because straightening your hair is culturally appropriating white people.

"On spending a lot of my time with them. Obviously, I want to take my time, but I'm very happy and very content and it's such a good feeling just to be at peace. She was like, I am thinking about how not to piss off Kanye and wake him up again. Oh my God. Happy in a relationship girl. I mean, she clearly is. Like, she meets someone. She gets married. So in person. For sure. But. You don't want to be married a hundred times, either. By the way, I think it's fine. I actually want a hundred deeds. I want if I feel like, I think a lot of times, do you guys listen to Joel osteen? Sometimes when I drive to work, I turn it on Joel olsteen radio. And I listen to because it's sorry. No, it's soothing. It's soothing. It's kind of sort of like the word of the day. You know what I mean? Oh, gotcha. And he always says things about how people come into your life and they're supposed to be there for seasons. And the seasons mean something. So I often think that relationships, man, it might not be a 50 year marriage. I agree with you. But if it's a, let's say you were married for ten years. When Kanye, like, that's a success. I agree with you when people say sometimes I'll be at a show, and I'll see a comedian, a lot of times, like, talk about like, this couple right here, 50 years together. Oh my God, give it up, and I'm like, I think they just like, sometimes I just think that people just say, 'cause they're scared to leave. And I don't know that that should be celebrated all the time. Like, sometimes when people get divorced, I go, congratulations, because that is very hard to do to know that that was over. And I don't think that if a marriage ends, it's necessarily that was an unsuccessful marriage. I agree. It doesn't mean that you have to have a 50 year marriage to be successful, but I do feel like she gets married very quickly. Yeah, but I think way to beat. I don't know. I think that she married Damon Thomas. She was young, divorced him, was single for a many years, merry Chris humphreys realized holy hail. This is not my jam. Oh my God. And then was best friends with Kanye and didn't want to wait. She had had a baby, but this form. So there was no waiting. They were best friends. They were soul mates, and I just, I believe, that whenever we criticize people for getting married, it just makes other people not want to be that person. And be criticized for loving love. Yes. I think Jamal got 7 rings. Good for you, girl. Do your thing. That's where I want to be. Elizabeth Taylor. Let's do this. I just like to simplify things and it's very complicated, getting divorced. Yes. And when you have that kind of wealth, it's a business, right? A lot of ways. Your combining to businesses together, essentially, right? So it seems like so difficult. You know what else is difficult? Waking up every day and pretending like you're happy. Oh my God. That is difficult. Try being in that play every single day for 16 hours a day. Yeah. And only having a break for 8 hours when you're going to bed and you're thinking about strangling. I mean, it is what it is. I just think that if the law says there's no cap on marriage, hell, if you want to get married once a year. Totally. Okay. Do it. But I agree with you. Like, I sometimes go, do I want to get married? And I go, no, because I don't want to get divorced. And I know that sounds crazy, but no one getting married ever thinks they're going to get divorced. That's never the plan. So I just don't assume that I'm going to beat the odds, you know? I think that there's just, I'm scared of getting married because I don't want to be divorced because it seems like such a painful process. But Nicki, how many times have you gotten on stage and you had fright about, oh my God, I'm going to bomb this and then you get in it, and it's fine. Yes. Or how many times have you woken up, you go on to do something, and you vomit, but the feeling is not as bad as you thought it was. Right. The regret is not as bad. I just truly believe the reason why we're so afraid of divorce is because we were shamed out of it. If your parents were divorced in the 90s, you know, it was the whispers. Mom's getting a divorce. You know what I mean? I didn't have that 'cause my parents were never married. So one by the never put me through that. Right. But I just remember the shame around it and there shouldn't be shame right now. There should not be. I'm just worried about the paperwork and having to like get to know a lawyer. And wear something to court. I don't have anything. I have to go find a pencil skirt that I don't have. Come on. I think he's gonna get you married. Like today. Girl, I'm three behind. My third marriage right now. Speaking of somebody who almost didn't get married, Gwen Stefani, almost got a job that would have changed Hollywood couples history forever. She told Ellen about it, plus the wildest rumors that she's ever heard about herself. What's the weirdest rumor.

AJ on Odd Couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani
"What's the deal with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, opposite tractors or cynical moves to boost their careers? You know, no, I was close to these two for a season and a half coach in football. And I coach Gwen's son and our Gavin rossdale was there as well. On the other side of the field, most of the time, but Gwen was always the good mom. And Blake came to the games, and man, they were stone cold in love. Like they couldn't stop touching each other and look at each other and they like high school kids. Must be terrible for Gavin rossdale to look across the field and see that. But I know the kids all love Blake. He doesn't have that dark energy Gavin has. And the first Daven has that background of dating a guy for a long time and trying to act like he didn't know. It's a famous story about an English an English person that he dated that was kind of a trans character. Forget the name right now, but it's got a dark history with rock and roll. You know, and Blake is not that way. Blake is a down home. Southern rock guy. You know, he likes to do his thing and drink his beer and have a back barbecue. I don't see there being anything cynical about it. It just really Gwen needed a breath of fresh air and, you know, sometimes marriages just get stale and I'm not saying I think they look good together. I think they're a little weird together. But I think this will last the test of time for a long time. I don't think once the fan will be alone again. I think Blake stays with her. Yeah, I

All of them have gone for chelsea to score two goals in this game and come out as winners when we talk about goals. A strike hit the ground running. That's why even out and paid the big bucks could l. afford to you know how slow style to the season. Then be playing catch up. So i expect them to start well. She became ghost spider into go spider. How like the fact that she actually made peace with her and managed to actually have a good relationship with it and this was just assume. Yes i loved it and i love. Love seem concerned like little tiny spiders around and how it's creepy an awesome and i love that about her and i like that was like a unique thing. They did with her to kind of set her apart from the spiders in the main spider universe in six one six so if they've changed that i'm struggling disappointed when i get to it but they because i wanna. I think you're to have to read the comics from last year. I had read yet. So you've gotta task before you so. But i do think that going on costume looks really cool but i like that. It just became her own costume after a while to that. It's still the symbian but it was like the white costume. Yeah the whole idea of like making peace with it and like not feeding its rage was really fascinating and the whole storyline spider gwen where she went to jail and like faced up her own crimes. "Have Sergio Eric Gwen. Yes, we are to talk about one way that we find homes for our listeners. That's part. Of are guaranteed Dream Home Finder program or that just looking option And thanks for coming on the show today, Sergio Absolutely. Thanks for having me guys. I'm very excited to be here. We're glad that you're here. So you do something a bit old school, and it's kind of unique, and it's a unique way to connect with potential sellers. And that is door knocking, right old fashioned door knocking and ringing doorbells. So how long have you been doing the store knocking to get To talk to and connect with potential sellers. 18 years going on 19 years now, so just getting started just getting started. That's a long time. Let's talk about that. So, Sergio, what do you like most about the strategy? What I like most about the strategy is you're able to plant the seeds to build the relationship to actually have the potential deal come to fruition over time. It's not gonna happen overnight, but you plant the seed. Sometimes you could take a month's intoxicate. Two months 345 months, but you plant the seed. So if you obviously 18 years, that's a very long time to be doing this. I'm sure you develop some amazing relationships. Can you give us some of the examples that you've kind of developed along the way? Absolutely. Absolutely. Just gosh, in 19 2001 of my biggest success stories. My daughter was home from college. She didn't have a job for the summer. I had her come out door knocking with me and we met a client's and he didn't have a need at that point in time, But a year later, he did, and we said, you know, Through that year we stayed in touch with him developed a relationship, a trusting relationship. Asked and answered questions throughout the time that you know I followed up with them are here to reach out to me. And ended up listing his house found a buyer for it and transitioned him over for me Sacramento to Arden Park, and that's one of the great things about that is that you just built report over time. So what areas or even neighborhoods do you focus on so I'll focus primarily on the tone. Miss is my farm in college greens? So Sergio? He's in the minority of real estate agents. That is doing what he's doing, because most people can't even get the nerve enough to go on Knock on doors. I told him he's a rare breed, so I mean There's a part of this program. I respect you tremendously, because that's how I started. My career is door knocking, so I bet you stumble onto some pockets of some buyers didn't even know about it. Does that happen? Yes. Yes, it does. It does. One example is Taco Park Tahoe Park is a very hidden gem in Sacramento Hot market. It's a very hot market. You're not going to find a lot of inventory over there. And it's a very prime market for door knocking. It's a very prime market to utilize this program for finding sellers and creating that inventory, planting the seeds with sellers meeting them building the relationship building the trust in the report, and at some point they will reach out to me because they put the name to the phase. We shook hands and they will come back for that deal. Absolutely, you always to keep in touch with them. Some of these people that you're developing relationships and then they're coming back to you when they're ready. Could be six months could be a year. But you know, the year there, guy because of you know the time that you put into that relationship. Well, yeah, it's that And you know, I mean, in this in this day and age, you know, in a world driven by technology, the human element is more important than ever. So many companies out there that are just in agents that are just trying to utilize technology to find the cellar and you know you hit it on the nose when you introduce, you know we're out there with the boots on the streets, and people want to see the name to the face. They want to see the smile they want. They want to meet somebody. They want to know somebody's out there working hard and, you know, oftentimes I'm finding buyers for these cellars. And I'm finding sellers for these buyers. Well on that note, That was gonna be my next question. So obviously with our summer programs that just looking option they don't meet might not see What they want. That's on the market. So with you meeting homeowners who are thinking of selling how many times do you kind of connect the dots with admire who doesn't see what they want on market? And now you have a cellar who's ready to sell? How often would be able to connect those dots? Yes. So one of one of I think One of the biggest selling points with this program here is that when we meet a buyer, and we are able to identify what they're specifically or looking for what the price point is or what the square footage is air, the bedroom amount of the area and specific You know, getting out there and knocking doors and meeting sellers and letting them know that we have buyer a buyer, not buyers, but a buyer for their home. It kind of strikes a chord with them because often times and I think you guys would agree. Sellers wanna easy transaction? Sure, you know, in this market, it's a seller's market. But not all transactions are easy, You know, for sure, there's a lot of lot of obstacles and a lot of underwriting conditions and just a lot of A lot of obstacles. And so with the cellar that, you know, find a cellar and and, you know, we knock on their door and we let them know. Hey, Sergio in the area specialist here in the area, and then you know, I just just just might have done the deal around the corner for them and, you know, Gosh, I just wanna let you know I'm out here didn't know if there was anything in the world I could do for you guys today. And you know, they might say yes or no. Okay, I got you. You know if they say no. Okay, I got you. Fair enough. Fair enough. Well, listen, I do have a buyer who's looking specifically in this area, You know? Gosh, if that were to change in the coming months or the coming year, you know, would it be okay if I stayed in touch with you? And at that point, you know they're going to say yes or Nos 75 To 85% of the time they're gonna say yeah, that's fine. And then I'll get their contact information. I'll give him my card, and then that's going to go into our database That's going to basically allow me to follow up with them professionally on a timely basis and continuously let them know that we do have this buyer. And deals do come to fruition that way. I'm impressed. Absolutely. For sure. So, you know, Sergio, That's exactly why we're discussing are just looking option or that guaranteeing Dream Home fighter program and strategies like this, because in a market like we have today, it is key to help buyers get the home that they want and help sellers sell their home for a premium..

TED Talks Daily
A NASA astronaut's lessons on fear, confidence and preparing for spaceflight | Megan McArthur - TEST
"Talks daily. How do we leave fear behind. It's a crucial question in this time of so much uncertainty. Well who better to address this question than a nasa s rinat megan mcarthur. She talks about risk ambition and how spaceflight is a family business in her twenty twenty conversation with ted women curator pat mitchell. Welcome megan although pat thank you for having the let's go with the question that i think is probably coming up for many of us. This is unusual husband and wife met during your training and and the year that you got married. You both flew into space separately. You on the hubble telescope mission and bob on the mission to construct the space station and ironically if your mission had gone awry or needed help bob was assigned to be on the rescue craft. You know launch day for all of us at time of great excitement but also anxieties about the risk and the fear. We might feel inside just watching. How do you prepare for launch day. Well one of the most important things to focus on for me was really preparing my son and making sure that he was ready and that he enjoyed the experience of watching his father launched and complete this mission that he'd been training for really for most of our son's life so when we walked out onto the roof of the launch control center and we could see the rocket off in the distance and were lining up against the rail ready for the countdown. And of course. I got my arms around him and we hear three two one liftoff and then and then we see the rocket carrying his father. Know jumping off the launch pad. And for me. It was this moment of of just an outpouring of feeling and emotion that had been with me for such a long time. And and you know this. I'm crying and i'm laughing. And i'm just shaking and so i had to let go of my son who was fine by the way he was completely fine and covering up my mouth. Because i don't know what kind of sounds i'm gonna make with. You know this this complete terror and this complete joy at this moment and thinking about what it took to get there my husband. You know an accomplished astronauts experienced air force flight test engineer. He he'd formerly been the chief astronaut. And i've watched him launch into space twice before and it's been terrifying every time Why is that so. Of course i love my husband but it's more than that. It's that i love my husband. And right now i can't do anything at all to impact the situation. I'm i'm standing on a rooftop. I have no job. I have no way to contribute. And so that's where for me. The fear comes from is that feeling of helplessness. And so over and over in my life. I've seen of course that training and preparation can get us ready for an event like that. But it's it's having the input having the ability to impact your situation. That is what removes the fear and balances it. It balances it for you. So the education the experience. That's a you have to have that but also having a voice Having an input having a seat in the cockpit is what allows you to leave that fear behind but what about your son megan He won't be there. He'll be on the ground watching. Mommy take off into space. Just as he watched his dad who returned safely. But how have you taken special. Preparations for him. Disea- mommy doing the same. Well his his first reaction when learning that mommy was going to go into space. I he told me no mommy. You can't go That was his very first response and then as he got more comfortable with the idea. You know his dad went up and came back and then he said well. Okay you can go for thirty days but one hundred and eighty days. That's too much you can't you can't go for that long He's also obviously seen his father. Go through all of this and so it it for him. It's become this normal thing. This is a normal thing that mommy and daddy do. We'll read stories back and forth while i'm here in russia over over video conference And i was given the idea to fill a jar with chocolate kisses and then he can have a kiss from mommy every day that i'm gone so he likes that idea very much just to be clear. It's a great message that this young man is getting about mommy and daddy doing the same job isn't it and i just want to bring forward a quote from the space x leader gwen chartwell. Who was asked about. You're going your husband's going and she was questioned about you're flying in the same pilot cedar spacecraft as your husband and here was part of her answer. I'd like to point out that you know. Megan is first and foremost and astronaut. When it comes to our perspective will. I did want to reach through the screen and high five michelle when she said that. I very much appreciated That remark you know. It has changed for me over the years the first time i flew in space I was married. But i was not yet apparent and both my husband and i came to nasa s people and we met and married of course At nasa at a different Thing to take on as a family that you're doing this thing that's for yourself Kind of for the greater good. The the notion of exploration and discovery is is something to engage in. And i think that that example You know for my son to see that his parents are engaged in this thing that yes it takes us away from him. But it's in those. These are important things to do and you were in high school. Megan when the challenger space craft tragically exploded and the whole world confronted the reality of the risk that you and your husband and other brave women and men are taking. I remember that moment. And i still hold my breath every time tearing each and every launch. So how do you find the balance between knowing

There have been a couple of a the biggest the worst one. I've ever had these where. I just ignored my guts. You know and i i you can only understand if you kind of go through this process. You're having this conversation with somebody they're saying all the right things on this this i can be described by you. The guys on the one every time of a node. My guts ends eight yet. Just wasn't a great working relationship. And yet things kind of riot between always from day. One and i soldiered on for i think about a month of side amid i said to him i said look. This is really not working because you will work in this style. I want to argue that style and wait are caught seaway. That will meet in the middle of he said. I need help No you need help. So i know a couple of the as you will more suited the way that you were putting in touch with a couple of the visa compensations and he has been cool. Yes ranger he is still with us. Seem thirty as he's about Built that about a person. It's just wing while you call. Put a round peg in a square hole and date was on the fact that these are the va now raves about him The best client said or me. Just say a the in the relationship between elizabeth bolden onoda background. Is that this a lot. Better offer announced Really really nice but it is by talk. Shit partake will one of my top kitchen with never ignoble. You'll gut absolutely totally agree with you there. I've done it to my perilous oil. It's always rights without fail. Always feels really painful. When you're going to china because you're sitting there thinking i'm merely Wanted with of I'm going to business to be happy to enjoy ourselves. And if there's something that's not quite riots. Just be penan and small to coney sunday. It's one of the reasons why when you touched on a little bit earlier about networking within the industry so that when these occurrences happened there is somebody Client he possibly would be better figured an impassable the at least hominy when you do make that decision to pass the america. Yeah yeah absolutely i. That's really where the k. Hasn't really happened to me recently. It a training context although it does happen. When i know that i've underpriced That's another one where nine days training session and usually is myron folks that i haven't set the boundaries up correctly or haven't made it clear so for example iran a team training session for d. company and didn't realize after. It was all book that they were going to have. Twenty four people on the other end of it are go which actually it was a brilliant session but i should have charged double what i did so and then you feel resentful because you know the value that your client is received and you haven't necessarily equal coovadia about it has to be equal doesn't it fit for what to be valuable to both parties no matter what industry or in iraq. So yes that's really important. So that's really really important on i. Completely gone hates my granddaughter's for beth day today and we're having zoom birthday party. I was telling joe earlier. A bit lace on sixth lissi. Fajita the eight thirty here right. I think my brain is in four-year-old mode today well as perfectly acceptable. It's been quite busy. I mean i actually wanted to come back to you. Mentioned networking We've had a few on the podcast. Who have been exposed network. Because we've had michelle ibbs. Eric including by jackie ground sold from the twelve thirty club and recently. Although it hasn't been out yet we had alemi hand from costa women or costa woman. Who runs a big network. Can spain and i. It made me think about something that happened to me just this week. On friday i attended an online networking event. Wasn't gonna go. Go go bain once before and had something else too. But i decided Alcohol app for my call out pop in and out was one of those you can poke into nap and somebody contacted me through the network said we got five minutes to chat and i said i'm really sorry. Gotta leave for client cool in about five minutes. Contact me afterwards. We had a chat yesterday. It probably will lead to a hokey but the the point is that you just don't know she'd had somebody one of her clients she's a an hr company and she had one of her clients who wanted to make south training Do that and then she saw minor aiming she sold us something that i do and made the connection so network king is just another reinforcement of of.

"Fairly recently. Didn't hear yes. Liked it s. That was a result of lockdown. Really and i. I sat down kind of reassessed business. And how i was gonna move forward and branding is something i really wanted to go. Full i was very lucky. Because i was entitled to some of the government funding because i have my own office And i used that to to get someone really awesome and to today. The branding and i was not disappointed. Plus you'll running is so it stands out and it's it's frankie it's just beautiful Wow that's fabulous. It's very me and that. That was something that i kind of said to hate. It needs to be me. 'cause we will have our own quirks and what we like. And what have you and she really did. Listen to that site. that's brilliant. So when he started. You gone out down the branding route. No i mean. I made my own logo. I built my website Up pretty pretty much did it was all. Diy really So yeah i hadn't asked certainly haven't gone a lot. I didn't have my in branding tellers or anything. That really was kind of. Take me as you find if you like. Yeah but i think. I think that's indicative of how many small businesses starts out you out with what you have awfully on a shoestring you don't know if it's gonna pan out. Do i wanna spend the money on it. Before i get so i think you recently we his world louder yes yet on made quite a few significant changes to the way i do business on who and target. It made natural sense to kind of rape position that with new bronco. Jane nba's sort of thing so it's quite it's quite an interesting process for somebody who's a brand unboxing. Did you find that gwen. Yes did they the lady the did it for me. I mean she was great she had a lot of zoom calls with me just to really find out who. I was how i worked. What type of work i j. what type of clients. I have And actually it was really helpful. Process the somme as well as her kind of onto those questions and and establish things that you know. Maybe wasn't aware of so. Yeah definitely catching process when it's done quickly i'm back in about twenty eleven or twenty twelve I went through my first proper rebrand. My first website and logo. I'm i had my training. Company was sold the training surgery at that point. And i'd gone rafic designer and i said i need a logo or money to build a website and Unbathed come up with this sickness blue. He said i shore by lancet. Yeah it's it's good. There's no question is blue and he presented me with. finally lego. Won't say done on the imagery but he didn't present me any nice blue options because he didn't think he was blue. You didn't ask me realistic. I i ended up with a pink like yours but much more magenta than than that really. I now call it violent pink but it just wasn't really me on not pay person that wack pink doesn't suit me at all and after cookie. This website. look at this anymore. It's just not me. am i. Had a brand lady called with the edwards hunt news. I mary jo and it was quite a index process and at the end of it. That was a brief forward designer which was amazing so So yeah and you're right. You do cover all kinds of things that you maybe not aware of not took mind anyway Oportunity to really think about what is my business field. Joyce have said on all of those types of things that say. Who does it appeal to. Isn't that a man of very kind of specific target audience in its specific in my head. It may not censor sipping the people. But i know won't and that's the type of branding that would appeal to them absolutely. Yeah absolutely do you have a discovery cool when when it's a funny word isn't cool so i want to work with you Do you vet me sources at that. If i don't give you the right on so you're going to either put your price up so high. I wouldn't or you're going to say i need somebody that's better i have done that I've certainly done that. I mean normally. Yes i would have a discovery call so You know i would encourage anyone who wants to work with me to speak with me because you know you need to get on with your va. You need to have a relationship with them. It's not just a case of here. Type this up. Send it back for the most part. I sometimes it's like that. Would with the audio. I think vile but for the most part you know you really do need to communicate and build on that relationship and so therefore we need to get along so you know if for example. We are polar opposites with with our personalities than it is probably not going to work and that's no reflection on you will may It's just not how we work. So i mean the the beauty of having networks in the industry for so many years is i know. A lot via is I know a lot of People who are of different personalities and who would work and who offers such and such services and so on If i failed that because i got a few associates. And if i failed the one of those guys would what to with them. Then i would do it that way. But for the most part if it really is a bit of a clash or If i just feel that it's just it's not gonna work. You know you have to love what you do at the end of the day and so yeah i would. I would probably pass them onto someone else. You've got to go to to help the person you're working for you have and i did learn that the hard way to be fair You know one of my Second clients. I think it was he. He wanted to work with me but he just wouldn't communicate with me You know i. It's like working with somebody who expects to be psychic and you know unless he tells me what's in his head. It's you know. I now know how to get things out of people's heads. I.

"So that's why use the the The views metric. But that you'll you'll find kind of evens out a little bit it into four percent of your overall world. Watch time is about you. Know comes out to ouch. Having your unsubscribe us being double your subscribers which ever way works. Best for you. Both are very valid wasted. Look at actually. I'm just going to repeat it for clarification. You should have a about twice as many viewers that are not subscribed nazar subscribed or your okay. Let me see if i can get the straight. Your total amount of minutes should be from subscribers. Should not be larger than about forty percent of your total amount of minutes from a given time period. Correct okay okay. Okay okay go on go on thank you for going so if you run through that question and the answer is yes. It's low there is a couple things you can do to gear your content to get them in front of more eyeballs. The number one thing you do and this is always my favorite go. To's gone to your data start looking. Look at all the videos you put up which formats tend to get you more you eyeballs so when so when you go into your youtube analytics. There is actually a tab that is called yours that is called for me. Start that again there. When you go into your analytics there is a tab called subscription source when you open up the subscription source tab. It will tell you. How many unsubscribe eyeballs. Not unsubscribe viewers a specific. Video is pulling in. You should go through that and you should look for the videos and the formats that tend to bring you in these new eyeballs. And it's not always going to be the same consistent Videos as your subscribers are like really into and you just need to be making sure that your spring those formats in if you're only doing videos that you're super fans loved while you don't want to alienate your super fans. You can't expect to grow if you're not putting up formats that you know bringing those new eyeballs. So what we're talking about here is traffic sources. Correct that that are like browse features suggested videos search. Is that what we're talking about. Well actually you don't actually. It's a separate tab called subscription source in the new youtube studio. Okay great and it will just listen. There's just two lines in that tab. And it's literally unsubscribe us and subscribe views. And that's where you can tell like which of your content is a real boon for your super fans and which ones are really good at polling in these new new friends. What i will say is you will likely find. I've seen fairly consistently across channels. Is that the formats that are more. Let's say your signature format or very nishi or channel those are superfan contents and the ones that may be more universal if the formats that are more universal shared across a lot of different channels are the ones that bring in more. Fresh is your content mainly because they know what they're getting if they see a fridge tour on your channel. They know what a fridge tour is. They have to make one decision. They just have to make the decision of whether they like lake. What you look like in your son now and you look interesting. I'm going to click on it. I'm to watch their fridge door if you have a special format called les danes variety show that is. They don't know what they're getting. They have to make decisions they have to say. Does that topics sound interesting and b. Does dane look interesting so if you can take one of those decisions awake from them and just be like hey. This is a cool format. You know you like. I just happened to be doing it. It's a great way to get new eyeballs in. That should not be every video..

"Well by now, you know that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are engaged to be married. But you might not know how Blake proposed to Quinn. She was on the Tonight show last night. I was talking to Jimmy Fallon about it. And I mentioned that before he proposed Blake kept this very expensive engagement ring in his pickup truck. A disgusting gross dirty, you know, utility pickup truck full of other stuff that with Brad all over the floor, I guess he kept it in the pocket of the door and just left. There, but the moment he proposed, he didn't keep it in his truck. He put it in the cabinets pretty magical in any ways out of nowhere. He just has this ring that's like in a Cabinet when I opened it. He's like, Oh, get the fire starter and I'd like open the cabinet. There's this bring there and I'm like, Yes, it was pretty. Like what? And we both start bawling. That's how would hell happened for them. So Now you know how they propose or how. L Blake. I could believe you can expensive. Bring like that in a pickup truck. But Georgia is they? I think maybe they're going to step up elected. Which one Democrat out of this? Um, let's see. Carl Bernstein has weighed in on Donald Trump calling Theater knee general of Georgia. He, Carl Bernstein said that this phone call with Georgia secretary of State Bread Rapids Burger is criminal. It is worse than anything Richard Nixon ever did. How would he know? Carl Bernstein said CNN's Fredricks. Whitfield spoke to Bernstein on Sunday. In the midst of world wall coverage on Trump's phone call, and he pressured where Trump pressured the attorney general to help him overturned the state's results from the 2020 election. When asked if this reminded him of breaking the Watergate scandal, Bernstein said. This is way worse than Watergate. Are you kidding me? Way have both a criminal president of the United States and a subversive president of the United States at the same time in this one person, subverting the very basis of our democracy and willing to act criminally in that subversion. Bernstein called the audio of the phone call the ultimate smoking gun tape and proof of Trump's attempts to undermine the electoral system and illegally improperly. India morally trying to investigate or instigate a coup. Carrie, you said, you listen to the whole thing. I am unclear. As to So I assume the attorney general in Florida. Taped it. Yeah, well, there is he the one who also released it. I believe so. Yes. Because he was gonna e thought. I read that he taped it. He knew that Trump was gonna lie about it. And he said, I'm only going to release this if Trump lies about it, huh? And, of course Trump can't do anything but lie about anything. And so that's when they released the tape. That's that's past trump tweeted because what happened was Trump tweeted about their conversation on then. The secretary of state tweeted in response to it, saying, that's a lie. That is not what happened. And here is what happened. What did Trump Tweet had a nice conversation about the election and Oh, no, no, Don't tweet. You're gonna make me find it.
