Canal Road basically south of Arizona Avenue and north of Foxhall and it looks like Canal Road rather Clara Barton Parkway is basically north of Chain Bridge it does seem like you're able to kind of make your way between Chain Bridge and down near Arizona Avenue but only via 123 in Virginia so you have a little bit of leeway there otherwise if you're coming from say the Beltway you're gonna be forced to use Clara Barton, Clara Barton, Cabin John and then make your way over towards River Road or other roads that can make your way down towards DC. On three 95, still with the southbound work your duke street, it's going to be a left lane to get by 95 pounds still sluggish across the aka Quan river bridge and going through woodbridge heading toward Dale City the work zone between one 23 and the Prince William Parkway at the single right lane to get by. 66 coming out of the city of Washington through the roslin tunnel and right after the tunnel that's where you find the first westbound work zone it's going to be a single left lane to get by as you go over the top is about run Parkway and then right before the capitol beltway after falls church right before exit 64 for single left pass that works on. Outer loop of the beltway wide for some mobile work anywhere between one 23 and the Springfield interchange, it sounds like they're going along the right side maybe doing some drain cleaning or something just being described as a mobile work zone in any case. On the GW Parkway watcher in northbound work, it's going to be after one 23 all the way to the beltway single lane getting by on 66 inside the beltway the work after 29 roslin makes it 73 left lane gets by and then again to the left at single file after falls church, heading toward the capitol beltway. Outside the beltway, the westbound work is going to be near 29 Gainesville, two left lanes are blocked. The westbound ramp to go north on 28, et cetera, that is blocked. Southbound 28 year ramp to go west on 66, that also blocked both main lanes and express lanes. Eastbound work on 66 from nutley street to the capitol beltway, that's one to the right to get by. Maryland work on the capitol beltway inner loop from university boulevard to New Hampshire avenue between exits 29 and 28.2 to the left getting by. 95, the only flying the limit between the beltways will be near I one 95 exit 47 and then all the way to the Baltimore beltway with the left lane block. BW Parkway South Bend work near I one 95, that's a single right lane to get by two 70 watch for the work northbound after falls road blocking two left lanes. Then in Frederick county, watch for more work after the monocacy river and near Bucky's town pike at all the way to I 70 a left leg getting by single file with little or no delay. Avenue as you make your way on the southeast Southwest freeway, no worries, suitland Parkway looks good as you make way to and from the beltway, Pennsylvania avenue looks great. 50 from the beltway out towards the bay bridge is up to speed, but they're running two way traffic on the eastbound span. I 97 looks good, headed up towards Baltimore and between the beltway is 95 and the BW Parkway looking pretty good. Two 70, no issues, no work zones between Frederick and the bellway, beltway traffic, outer loop looks good. Northbound GW Parkway, there was a crash after one 23, but should be taken care of regardless, just be a little extra cautious if you're headed north down there. "Project of the George Washington Parkway between spout run and four 95 will soon move into its next phase. You may have noticed the speed limit in that section is now 40 miles an hour. Other changes are still to come. The project is very necessary, according to superintendent of the GW Parkway for the National Park Service Charles cuvier. The damaged sections of guardrail, deterioration of drainage infrastructure and stone guard walls that line the Parkway that all need attention. It'll last until 2026 and give the roadway another 50 years of life, but during the work big changes are coming and some big headaches sometime around April 15th, the southbound lanes will be completely shut down to be redone to help with traffic on the northbound side. It's getting a temporary third lane, which will allow for the center lane to be used as a reversible lane that will go north during the evening rush in south in the morning, but outside of those times it'll be closed, so only one lane will go in each direction. We're quickly approaching the July 1st date when recreational marijuana use becomes legal in Maryland, and just like alcohol, it will not be legal to drive while impaired by marijuana. However, that leaves some questions about how police will be able to determine if someone is high. Maryland state senator Jeff waltz striker thinks he has a solution. He is sponsoring a bill, which will allow the pilot use of a medical device that can test for cognitive impairment. Also today, lawmakers will hear arguments on a bill, which would stop cops from using weed odor as a primary cause for a traffic stop. "Service has shut down the northbound lanes of the GW Parkway between spout run Parkway and route one 23. Officials are working to recover a car that was abandoned below the level of the roadway near Donaldson run that car has been there since that massive snowstorm in January of 2022, the operation will require lots of equipment and a lot of time the park service hopes to have the roadway completely reopened by around four this afternoon. And this started as a TikTok prank, but now Maryland authorities say it's no laughing matter. The Maryland vehicle theft prevention council wants the owners of Kia and Hyundai cars to contact the automaker. Some of the ignition systems can be hijacked. A nationwide surge in thefts has resulted in at least 14 crashes and 8 fatalities for a million Hyundai and Kia vehicles lack what is called an immobilizer. The upgrade is free of charge for owners of the car. It is Back to the Future. They'll need to use their keys to start their vehicles. Dell waters WTO news. Now, north down on the George Washington Parkway, as we've been telling you this morning, all day today, the northbound side of the George Washington Parkway to be closed between the spout run Parkway and one 23 their retrieving a vehicle that went off the road in a snowstorm river a year ago. We'll continue in Virginia riding 66 from ronson through front royal with that incident. The National Park Service is shutting down the northbound lanes of the GW Parkway between spout run Parkway and route one 23 started about two hours ago.
