"Going to join the four o'clock. It is ready for the game. Who's playing? Who's not? Over the weekend? It came out Jason Peters would move to right guard toward my Lotte. Your new left tackle. Um, now this Ike and this is from Adam Schefter via Twitter. Oh, despite having a broken dislocated toe that will require surgery after the season. Eagles veteran offensive lineman Jason Peters will play tonight against the Seahawks, though he will be moving to guard to help make up for the lack of mobility. For a source. Jason Peters, battered through battled through the injury last week, but playing guard tonight will help him better compensate for it. So if you want to know everything that's wrong with this team this year, right like that, like that, right there, The fact that they have a guy that's probably going to get his number retired, and he's going to go in the Hall of Fame is an eagle that feels it necessary, probably through his agent through Adam Schefter to go out there and say that, Oh, he's moving to guard. Help make up for the lack of mobility. Because he sucked It left tack on by the way, his toe is broken and dislocated. That will require surgery. After a warrior like you have got to be kidding me on a game day s O pork, Jason, broken, dislocated toe that requires surgery. He's moving the right Guardo to make up for the lack of mobility. Man. Wow! Where which asked he battled through the injury last week. But playing guard today will help him better compensate for it, Like really. This is what you need to do. Right? Unbelievable. It's torched for one game. Right? Livia burnin burnin torched him all game and now this is the next the next door because he's being moved in his ego. At least like like publicly couldn't couldn't face that. He had to go to right guards. He wasn't good enough so they make sure they put it out there. Oh, no, no, no, not because of that, because he was because he's need as a toe injury and needs surgery and it's broken and dislocated. That's why he's moving because of the mobility and he's trying to play through it. Also you think this is also works is probably look good for him moving forward in case the team wants to sign him that some reason. Yep, Absolutely. But when this team re signs, right? I mean, what? When Jason's healthy again jacket back to being an elite left if they re sign him next year, I'm out. I will not. I will not refer the Eagles next year already gets them. That's the move. If he's on this team next year, I'm out. I'm out because this is the problem and I was one of the guys that were once part of the problem. Don't it is it is like you bring this guy back. He gets a raise because he's got to move the left tackle and then gets hurts like he always does. He comes back. They put him right back and left tackle. Even though Jordan by a lot of looked really good and promising over there Now he gets hurt again, and he's moving the right guard. And he's gonna let the world know it's not not because of the way was playing. It's like all look at his warrior playing through it broken and dislocated toe. That's gonna require surgery. So the only way Tonto keep him on the field is to move him because of his lack of ability. Right. I mean, Schefter tweeted that stupid video of him out running up a hill back in when you didn't have a job, Remember that? Yeah, do right, So he's he's clearly mean. The agent is clearly saying, like, Hey, schefty Here, put this out there maybe didn't bear Come on, give me a break, they might care. So one person out there. That cares. Jason Peters, this is happening is gonna move the guard and and this is shame. And because JP sort of did this to himself like I that that report about needing more money to move over the left tackle, man at that. That's not what you do, man. That's just that's just not something you do, man, especially in this town. You just don't do that. And if you're gonna do it, you'd better be there available. For 16 games planted a high level I mean, if you if you want to raise you better play like you deserve a racing God love stones to go tell, you know for all these people, If you in order for me to move over to left tackle to help this team out there, by the way, brought you back at 38 years old has paid $100 million, Of course, each $100 million In order for you to move the healthy team. Now you need to be compensated for it. That wasn't old. That was not gonna play well in this town. He needed to play it a pro bowl level night man Pro bowl level here and played it any plainer to settle on this level in one play the starters level this year and it is really unfortunate man because He's a guy that doesn't say a whole lot and kind of have benefit it like the mystique of the bodyguard, right? You don't say a whole lot. When when Jason speaks, you listen. Everybody remembers him telling when Jake when he told Jake Elliott to stop missing field goals and go make it and he made the 61 yard field goal. I believe it was that game like so, JP is one of those people like you have hunted when you speak, you listen. But this year Man. He just threw all that down the drain. It's unfortunate for me because I only know if he they probably got the wait awhile to celebrate him because I don't think Eagles fans are in the mood to celebrate. All time great of this franchise because of the way these last couple years have played out, particularly this year..

I can't guarantee how long I'm gonna be able to be with Tom on the show today because I could get kicked out of the bridal suite. Any moment bridal suites. Have you been thrown out in your lifetime? Come on. I could only think of a couple but still add to the list. This probably know that. Let's see. No, Debbie, let me stay in our so Yeah, I think, yeah. Uh, 855935 talk is our phone number. We're here to help you navigate what can be a very, very confusing world of money And it's something you need. So give us a call before you make a big mistake, which most people make 855935. Hey, 255 and Mary, you're up. Welcome to talking real money. Hi, Mary. Thank you. Have. Thanks for telling me I have money and two different retirement savings plan. One is a forum three b with my old employer where I loved it. And the other is a 401 K with my new employer where I have a 4% match. I have the feeling that the fees on these plans they're not great. And one of you. You can tell me whether or not it makes sense to roll over my first plan. Into an IRA and whether I should Contribute more into my second plan or simply go into an IRA. So my first point let's talk about your second plan. What is your second plan? In what investment vehicles do you have? It's an American funds target date. So it's a small company. I'm guessing Yeah. Yeah Capital Group. Capital Group. Yeah, American funds a year, probably getting the American funds without Commission, which I hope so. She should she be, She should be getting the break points. It's but expense ratio. Tell you what the commissioner. No, that's different. Oh, no. But actually, that helps, though what's the expense ratio? 1.45 What? Oh, my mouth just dropped. He hasn't even platonic. Get one of those handkerchiefs that they used to put around the jaws of dead people Back in the old days, I my job actually hurt. That that's way too much money. No, do not. Do not do not. What do you think, Tom? Do not put that forth through being? Um, I was gonna ask how much is in the first the 403 B. How much money is in that plan? That has more of my money. But give us an idea. $10.10 million 171,000. Okay, So that's 171. I would not Take that and rolled into a plan where you're paying fund expenses of 1.45. No way. I would put that in an IRA where you could get far less expense. And by the way, here's the other part we don't know about. The second plan. In addition to those fund expenses, you're playing somebody to manage the plant. In other words, there's the cost of the administration. There's a record keeping all that stuff. We can't tell you what that runs. So, um, But did I think I heard you say, getting a match in the second plan? Yeah, We're getting a 4% match. I would save at least up to the match. Get the free money in the second plan and then do the rest of it in another vehicle. Yes, but I would take the first one moving into an IRA. The second one. Get the 4%. And again I guess I'd look at all the funds in there to see what the cheapest What's Because 1.45 is really, really. I totally agree with Tom on the always take your match. Of the 403 B. If you're gonna transfer that, that should be transferred to unaccounted, Vanguard Fidelity or Schwab. You should put it in a really well diversified portfolio based on your risk tolerance and then over and above that, 4%, even if you are putting more money into your 401 K above that. You might want to consider making that eye on IRA or a Roth IRA contribution. How old are you, Mary? 51, OK. And how many more years you're gonna work? Probably another 99 years. Good. Well, you're gonna you're gonna do well. But don't put it in that account with American funds. No Yeah, that's crazy, high expense ratio, so they're rolling. The rolling some of the some of what they would get paid on the commission into that. You're exactly right that they're they're saying thank you. We'll take that money from so s Oh, yeah, I'd like don advice there. We wish you all I will say one thing before you go. We have expanded and we mentioned this briefly. I mean, it's just apparatus less than that, less than that, because those fidelity funds are less than 1/10 of 1%. But we always try to answer it in the what's best for you. We want what is best for you. Not for us. Yeah. This came up recently where I talked to someone who has been a decent saver. I've been a teacher, and she's already in line to get so security benefits and a pension. Shut up, a kind of she could either take a lump sum. Or put it into the Washington State Tap annuity. And frankly, sometimes, it just makes sense to go ahead and put the money in the annuity because I know it's a dirty word. But in them, but it's a different kind of annuity. We the problem is there's so many types of annuities. Immediate annuity is a different beast. Than a variable. Yes, she gets a decent She gets a pretty good hunk of money every month, Remember? As you pointed out earlier, Don, you're getting some of your own money back, but that's okay. You're in your sixties. You're going to get somewhere. You're spending some of your principal. That's okay. And in this case, I think for somebody with a low risk tolerance Absolutely makes kind of sand, and that's the key. That's the key, though, if you have a very low risk tolerance, and by the way, if you want to find out what yours is, go take our free risk Quiz at talking real money dot com. And to follow Guardo poll says 3% up in Michigan. I think we're going to win. I think we're not gonna have a Y two k. I think we're everything melts and we have problems. I think we're going to win by Better margin than last time. Not a lance like maybe, but I don't think so at all. I just think we're going to win by Biden went to Minnesota today. That was not on the docket. He went there because he's like Holy crap. It's too close. Always the way but I went there today. Okay, so Yeah, nobody points. He's going there. He's going there. So He was supposed to go there. He's going there because right roll RRR Astro. Remember all we need to win. He is either Wisconsin, Michigan or Pennsylvania. Any wins assuming hold the other regular Republican states. If you wins Minnesota, then it's like then it's going to be more of a landslide. I don't necessarily think it's going to Mondale, um, where he wins his own home statements it but by the way, remember Al Gore lost his home state? I love that. You got. I'm from lax tight. My daddy was offender of the air. I'm in a hell for male. Yes, By the way, I heard the great one earlier. These people really do hate us. I mean, they really do hate us. And I think that the country with the whatever I'm guesstimating, 30 or 40% of the country, still not voting it. By the way, you don't vote if you're on the side If you don't vote early, if you're undecided, understand that That's there's no question. It's unequivocal. So don't worry. I'm telling you the truth. Don't worry. There's 10% undecided. Not too not the 5 to 7%. They are not going to want to go with Joe Biden with the whiff of the investigation with Hunter and him and 33% 33.1% GDP in the lowest applications for jobless in seven months and didn't come home. I got this. I got to say this because this is like this is it? This is the one thing that stuck in my head that you've gotta hear, Biden says. We're going to build back better, right Bill back. How you gonna build back better after there's no higher record in the history of this country and 33.1% growth. What do you do, Joe? Gonna make 50% GDP growth 7500% GDP. Oh, how come on. Build back better. You don't know how you've had 47. But you understand you understand You can't get higher than 33.1. It's never been done. It just happened. And he's going. I'm going to do it the better. No, It's if the poor guy the poor guy. The poor guy. So I think he's we're having we're in a real problem for this poor guy. And I think we are gonna win 802 a day We had two lines open 800 to 8 AP 800 to 889227 Mark in flower Mound You're on w B A P high marks. Hey, Chris. How to go on that answer a list for years Band. You're entertaining will listen to you. Thank you. Hey, The question I have is last election back in 2016 with Clinton and Trump. It seems the polls shut down around midnight, one o'clock and never figure out why My brother lives in Michigan. And that's what I was watching to see What is bitch again. Gonna report their final numbers, and they never seem to until the next day. Did we ever find out what happened there? I don't know to just be direct with you. But I will tell you this. I think the key is here's why, I think we're not gonna have the problems with Pennsylvania or Michigan. Because I think the the percentage of the vote count is going to be so high. You know, you and I are sitting here and I guarantee you, you and I both have no idea how this happens. I guarantee because I'm not gonna pretend we're sitting here like 1% of the vote counting and then I'll suddenly they check it off is one right. What the heck? How did they? How did they know went from one or 2% toe like that way a win? Well, there's obviously some kind of a mathematical equation, right? I don't know what it is. Based on the numbers, right, Like like, okay, there's no way numerically that you can win. Right? So I think that's gonna happen at a certain point, and it might be very late in the night. But I think a ce far as you know, 10 11. I don't know what but I think it's going to be too high. And I think, knowing the math on the electoral college, I don't know it intimately, obviously, but knowing the math on the Electoral college and then if he just wins Pennsylvania Or if he just wins Michigan and holds the other normal states. And, you know, I mean, the only ones one of the three in the Rust belt are in the Midwest. Then it's over on DH, so you could see it earlier than you know, Midnight. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I think it's I think we're gonna have a winner. The night of may be a 12. Maybe it one, maybe two. But I think we're going to have a winner and I think it's going to be because he wins not by 40,000 votes in Pennsylvania or 44,000. But he wins by maybe 250,000. And you know they're putting the ballots air coming in from male from the idiots who respect because Senate passed the deadline there, actually putting in a separate pile. So the thing if number one, if which is smart, because if the court Get involved, You know, then they have a separate pile of knowing what's what in number two. If the numbers add up where there's no way those that pile extent can over extended then that you won't have to worry about going into overtime with the votes that arrived after the deadline that they arguing about, you know that the courts ruled that Khun stay in saying I know you're right, man. I don't know. Why is it that he's bailing balance going later date? They could return them by if they had all this time of early voting. Why is that? Mercer. That's it. You know why? I don't know. You know why the Supreme Court stood down. They stood down because it's too close. They don't want to mess with anything went to this close the rule afterwards. And who knows? Maybe a little throw out the ones afterwards. I don't know, but they just don't want to meddle with anything, no matter what, when there's six days left. And so the Democrats pulled a fast one late enough on DH. I'm sure I'll freak out if it doesn't go the way I'm telling you, but nonetheless I'm okay..

Why did you leave? Yeah, it becomes so, so terrible And the situation went out of town. When the military listening they came in on when they came in. It thought we thought they were China, you know? Guardo's, You know, but all of the saddle in the open fire on a little people saw such enjoy about this morning about 52 people. We shut down so it was soaked arable and you can see the puts off the light so that we could get a clear shot off what was happening on the area and also understand the the security cameras that might have provided images of what was going on. Also got taken down now. Didn't that That gave you a warning, didn't it? You and the other protesters that something was going to happen? That was the one but you can see the food That was for Vita that it was very, very peaceful. We will hold no weapons. There was no where person, So we only have been a drunk like you see, people were sitting down on the ground because then first on Was not a fight. You understand that, and that's a very important point to make, because elsewhere, the authorities have said some of these protests have turned violent or violent elements have tried to take advantage You're saying at lucky last night, there was no violence offered a tall Can I ask you about one particular thing? I'm sure you have seen. The army on its official Twitter handle has been saying this is all fake news. The army was never there. You saw the army. How do you know that They were the Army. The issue. No own uniforms. The killed are very close. And it's very difficult to get to the bottom of what's going on, particularly how many people were injured. You. You mentioned the figure of around 50. Now That's the first time that I've heard that figure. What What are you basing that on? Is that what people are saying at the moment before saying that life was put on After I left yesterday, but on you consider people were you know down on this truth, reason why you're not getting the actual father of budding stories because the government is involved. They are trying. They are trying to hide his story because they need what they have done. This is really evil. This is bad. The kid's on citizens. This is suddenly I wasn't able to get those politicals people school so terrible a slight but when you see when, but when you see what happened to demonstrations. Are you going to go back to the street? Will you carry on protesting? You know, for now, For now, we have two weeks before the officials on what to do, because we don't know now how this situation is going to be because we can't trust nobody in the government of females in this country. We don't like that coming. But if people go back on the street again, so wait have We have to settle down. I really thought about this carefully because this is a question of Marchal. Just a little different tohave that off even if it's a travel day. Decompress, Ah ball and no strikes to Taylor's two for 14 80 LCS swings and misses at the next pitch. Peterson, the runner at second two, Nothing Braves to on Swinging, fouled out of play off to the right. One thing that's taken place in the early going From a Dodger perspective is making Ian Anderson work. He's about to throw his 45th pitch of the game. Anderson leans over. He looks in and now he steps off the rubber, takes off his cap and checks the scouting report inside his cap. He also might be checking to see What the sequence is and what signed they're going with think that's the more likely scenario there. He took his cap off 10 to 2 down 2nd and 3rd 2 outs. "Minelli along with Jason Column or John Cooper. Is speaking to the media right now, Of course, Tampa Bay wins this afternoon 3 to 1 in Game four. Let's Listen to it right here on news radio wfld on letting Bartlett Thanks, John. It's Lance. For me. The Toronto Sun just talk about staying on tax today after what's happened the past two days, and also, you know the coming together of the announcements and before the game, how you guys got back with your competitive edge and played a really good game. Yeah, that's ah, One thing I can say about that is both teams are in the same boat. And everybody in both bubbles is in the same boat and You. Consciously as a coaching staff. You don't want to take the focus away from what's happened in the last two games, and that's what we did, and we meet as a group. The night before each game, and, uh we didn't. We didn't do anything. You know, really hockey related. It was Like with a lot of just Staying on point of what's gone on, but keeping in mind that we do We do have a game and I think that noone start probably helped because it's You're definitely there's no turning the page and what's going on, But you have to refocus. Because Game four is going on, and we are here for a reason, and that's to do our job and Two. No. When you win a playoff series, and so it was a delicate balance by we didn't wantto put the game ahead of what's gone on until This morning and and that was our You know, our message to the guys is just make sure when When we come to this rank, it's hockey and I thought our guys did a really good job focusing Next question. Media Center. Hey, John. Definitely with the fourth period with respect to the Nik Richie had AH, on Johnny Gord burst. Cassidy called Gordon. Clever player. And that got him that got you guys five minutes on the power play. Just curious. Your response to that. Um, well, he is a clever player, So there's no doubt about that. But I think You know that was a league reviewed hit, so they didn't just make up. The five minutes is a lot of people involved. That goes into that. So I would know my response would be. I thought you always battling for your guys take myself being head Coach Lightning. I thought the late I think it was late. And You know, it's it's hitting an unexpected Unexpected opponent. And so I think those are the hits that If you're going to hit somebody, not respecting you hit somebody from behind there. You hit somebody in the head. Those are no nose down league and Richie checkoff bunch of boxes there. So I think of its regular season. I'm just guessing so don't hold me to this. Nobody's talked to me. I have no idea what the league's doing, but I'm sure it's going to be reviewed. But it's ah A regular season for sharing suspension. And so clever, not its would be a suspension playoffs. Um, I I shouldn't say that I shouldn't say regular season. I think the fact that they gave him a five Probably takes him off the hook of being suspended. So that would be my guess. It's playoff Marquis. It's Ah, It's top. I'm glad, and and the fact that Gordo came back, Um so we didn't hold him back. He was Guardo's A tough kid. We were trying to err on the side of caution. Zagato come back. He's like, not a chance. I want back in this game. And so I would say yes, He has a clever player, but he's also gutsy player for coming back. Next question. Joe Smith, the athletic You're still protecting too early in the game you season. The place that coup Trump makes defensively. How much that just an example of the bite the whole group. The last couple games like you really? Played well defensively against a really good team. Yeah, Coach. It's eye. He's a wonderfully gifted player and When he gets all the accolades because of what he brings on the offensive side of things, and they're oftentimes players that Clay. Just offense, you'll see them. You win heart trophies and and get their front page here the picture on the front page of the paper. Then there's much players that play the 200 for game and you're seeing some of them tonight. You're seeing on their end. They've got You guys in that top line that That play 200 ft. We've got guys are team that they'd get accolades for playing 200 ft. But in saying that You look at these offensive gifted players. The reason they play all the time is because they're smart, and they know how to play in their own end. You can't throw offensive players over the boards for 20 minutes tonight if they're not going to play in their own end. The growth of coach in that in that regard, Ng Ah It has been Well, it's the reason why we're having a lot of success were having because a za coach, you gotta trust your players. But he also players over the boards because the name on the back of the jersey throwing over because you can trust him. I trust her, which in all those situations Next question. Diana Nero's Tampa Bay Times. John. We've talked a lot about plot and what he brings on that line. But his shot has been very successful last few games and just looks like he's shooting with a little more confidence. What are you seeing out of him and his shot specifically. While I can cancel your own question. Players that shoot a lot of confidence, and that's what he has. And, um you know, we put in some physicians to Be ableto to take shots, but he's also got two pretty good players that are ah. Are given in the park. And so you know, you got some Guys that could get.

Wheeler's should have been back on his team. I'm sorry. Willard Willard to me should have been back on the team. Yeah, You know, I'm trying to remember where I was in mind set when they let out Guardo Alfonzo go right. Okay. Well, history shows the Mets made a good decision. They were right. Did they let him go? Because he was cheap. I don't know if I thought that at the time it was a different world. It was pre made off. We didn't love the Wilpons, but it was different. What did we say at the time Because history has shown that they made the right decision to let Fonzie go and get that big contract from the Giants had a back issue. He was never the same. So just goes way back. You know, this goes back to even like, you know, trading Kevin Mitchell. Let Darrell walk me things like this. I mean, you know, you don't mean This kind of thing. I thought that he was gonna have him humongous here and unquote but happened so obviously the status will be diminished. But I thought he was gonna have this impressive year because he always plays good in the contract year, So I am. I'm like, even more taken back behind. Oppa. It's just very meant like owls. Can I say it? How else can we say? We've been saying that all that? Yeah. Well, here's another met like aspect of this. Anthony the Cuomo tweets that Brandon memo says he and his met teammates heard that Yolanda suspicious menaces You NSS but is his agent actually informed the Mets he was opting out before Sunday's game. Really, That's according Minimo. He also heard the Mets official story and the team was blindsided during the game. Nemo said he doesn't know which is true. Wow, that's not good. Could you imagine? Seriously if if you would get No, we killed cess pit is and and you know, rightfully so. What says, but it's actually did it form them Saturday that he wasn't going to be with the team on Sunday, and let's come out and say that they went that all telling God Oh, my God, is that look? Well, the statement itself still doesn't look good. And what does it say when guys on the team Well, what do you think? If you're a player on the team, and you're here in two different, you know things, you know what's real? What's Yahoo account of this? That's its affairs. Why is there two different? That would kind of bothered me a little bit? Absolutely. I mean, think about what Brandon them always saying. As compared to what The Mets have been telling us. The Mets released this statement. What time was it at around two o'clock, probably in the middle of the game early, relatively early in the game. You let us wait a while We don't know where he is. And Nemo is saying that hours before that. Met players heard your witness was opting out. How could that disconnect exist? Or noti lied? Or he released a statement to just try to make us look bad baby and didn't let let everyone know how I know Maur than what I'm actually giving you in the statement. Maybe they maybe they did, because you know you want to Maybe, you know, he's probably was ticked off about, you know, maybe he thinks they were trying to hold him with the incentives. Whatever. And they're trying to make him look even worse than anything. He looks, you know? Yeah. Which is why, if that's the case, that's that's really bad, and it looks terrible for you know, guys on the team like Brandon. Well, wait a minute. What's really going on here? And Brandon is in a tough spot because Braden's an honest guys being asked a question. And so he's admitting it heard before the game, the guy was opting out. They heard before the game of Brody had no idea. Abroad. He was clueless. Brody No, I I don't know where he is. G gullies and that statement. Here's what's so wrong about that statement on another level. The first thing I thought about which is something. Did something happen to the guy, right? Right. You know where I didn't want to say some of the thoughts in my mind the worst thoughts. I hate to think the worst. But you know what? I'm a dad. Now I start to think the worst Unfortunately. And so the Mets released a statement that would allow those thoughts that go into people's heads. And they probably had an idea that it was just simply him off the council. But they were so ticked off that he was opting out. They decided to do that. The Mets took a situation in which they were never gonna look bad. If you win. It's just opted out and imagined. Awaiting Your Highness would be the conversation. They have to make him look bad. He was leaving the team. And the Mets managed to somehow make this worth Why unbelievable? Don't believe the new ownership can't take all the fast enough from seriously..

"On Michelle Martin. Last Monday, the Trump Administration announced changes to the student visa program that would require international students at universities to take at least one in person class this fall. That means students have to physically be on campus or leave the U. S. The changes could jeopardize the status of hundreds of thousands of students. So we've called on Dwayne McKay for more perspective on this. He is the president of the Florida Institute of Technology, known as Florida Tech. International. Students make up about 1/3 of the student body there, and he's with us now to tell us his thoughts about this. President McKay Welcome. Thank you for joining us. Oh, I'm very happy to Michelle. Thank you. What's just mind telling us a bit more about your student body? We said about 1/3 or international, you know, where do they come from? And what do they study? Well, you know, we're technological school, so the bulk of them study engineering or science and ah, it I couldn't describe where they're all from because it's close to 120 countries is the norm each year. And we have, you know the same kind of loads from from some of the major countries that supply the US with with students like Saudi Arabia, India, China, etcetera, but we have students from all over the globe. Aside, mentioned Ice announced this lifting the exemptions for international students, an online learning. Basically, this means that they're applying pre covert rules to student visas in the fall, meaning they have to take atleast one class on campus in order to retain their status. So do you remember what your reaction was? When you heard this? It was a positive about I'll tell you that because I had gotten to the point. You know, we've been doing planning for how we're gonna handle fall now for several months, And as you probably know, Florida's a hot spot at this point for For the virus has been growing fairly rapidly. The last few weeks and up Until then, I had almost certainly was gonna open try to have a normal opening of fall semester. We were closed for the summer was only online for the summer. We finished the spring on Lee Online, but we decided that Mariah decided from listening to all the input. We could open fairly safely. And then we began to have this growth of of cases in Florida, including in our county. And it seemed prudent to me that for the safety and health of everyone, which is of course, our number one concern. We probably should even run fall fully online and I luckily for me, I had not made an announcement of that or a final decision when this ruling came out, and at that point, I reevaluated with senior staff and and we decided that we would Ah have to because it's such a huge fraction of our student body. That are internationals that we had very little choice but to at least have some major love some level, maybe a major level of on campus courses so it had on our planning staff. It had a had a huge impact. And you know, because we cannot survive. To be honest with you without our international students. They why's that will survive financially. Well, fine. You know, we will and survives too strong a word, But we will suffer significantly. You know, we're a small school and we're tuition driven as many small private schools are And the international students pay a significant level of tuition to attend here and so being tuition driven if you take you know, if you actually lost those all those international students, you would lose close to half your tuition. So you know financially they're important. But in addition to that we get some of the best international students from from all over the world. And so our international students raise the level of the ability for each and every class and each and every project to accomplish more than they could have. Plus you've become an international citizen of the U know become a citizen of the world without ever leaving your classroom. And it's that that's a big emphasis that we have is that we graduate good global citizens. And what about the faculty and staff? How How are they taking this? You know they're they're concerned, I mean factory or a little older than the typical college student and the college students do not fear this disease. Because in general, it's not that severe for them in their age brackets, But our staff in our faculty aren't in that age bracket so on and they're going to be trapped in a classroom. So we're we're putting a plexiglass shields between them and the and the students or having facemask, but I did not anticipate the level of fear. That would the prevalent amongst faculty and staff. I really didn't. We're trying to make sure that we can accommodate as many of the faculty and staff they do not want to be on campus during this period. As we can, but obviously, if we're going to conduct on campus classes, some of them have to be here so that that that's a major juggling act that our academic people they're doing and and I don't. I mean, I feel sorry for them because that's I mean that that's the one job that I'm glad I'm not having to personally do at this point. You know, Speaking of a juggling act, one of the issues informing the decision's a lot of people are making is if the K through 12 schools are closed. There aren't some kind of Hybrid schedule. What people who have kids in that age group supposed to Dio I don't know how much of your staff and faculty are in that position, but You're you know, the decisions of the K through 12 schools make influence the decisions that the adults can make right. Well, how is that all getting sorted out any of the people that had serious issues with the guard of their family with Guardo homeschooling some of the other things that everyone had to do over the end of last school year. We worked out ways for them to work remotely, so a huge fraction of our workforce. Has been working remotely now for for several months, and depending on what our school system does here in Brevard right now, they're planning on opening. But if they don't open if they change that, then we're, for example, the buses or not, are not going to be run almost of for most of the schools, and maybe all of them. I'm aware of several and so the fact that that changes the schedule of the parents Fairly significantly because they have to transport their Children to the school and we're doing everything we can to accommodate those things. But this is a difficult time. Luckily, you can work remotely into the evening. If you have to. We have. I've been amazed at the level of commitment that I have seen from so many of our key staff members. That are contributing. You know, I get emails now and text 11 o'clock 12 o'clock at night from people that are trying to finish their work. My last question, though, for today would be Do you have any insights that you can share from what you've experienced so far in trying to figure out what to do that you might be willing to share with other education leaders. As they're trying to weigh decisions for their schools. Well, the only advice I can give is flexibility. Ifyou're not flexible, you're not going to survive. You know, I I know I can't remember the who It is that they quoted. But someone changed their mind once and they said, How could you change your mind, he said. I got more data. When I get more data. I might change my mind. What do you do and and that's and that's sort of what we did where we got more information. The conditions changed the The boundary conditions changed. Then we had to be flexible and make a new decision. That's plain McKay. He's president of the Florida Institute of Technology. Florida Tech. Mr President. Thank you so much for talking to us. I hope we'll talk again. I'm ready when you are, ma'am. Parents of younger school age. Kids are also making some tough decisions after President Trump said last week that he would put pressure on governors and other officials to open schools in the fall, So with no clear guidance on how to reopen safely, school districts and families have been scrambling to figure things out for themselves. For students living with extended family like grand parents. The question of returning to school even more fraud because of age or pre existing conditions. Those family members are most vulnerable to the most serious effects of the virus. Some 2.4.

And this is why I love tips till today, you know, run everything through me and I was averaging 20 at the time when I got traded. When the when the fun office saw that I was averaging 20 obviously, Now everyone wanted to pay me more money, eh? So they decided that it was better to trade me before. You know, they used me for nothing. So I was called into the office and I was given two days to take 30 million for three years or you know, or else. I decided to go with or else So that was Lou all dang, and there's a couple of things that cut that really bother me. And one of them is A love that all the players had for Tibbs, and then apparently, he couldn't get along with Garin Paxson, and then they got rid of him. The best. This team the Bulls have been over the last 2015 20 years is when Tom Thibodeau is their head coach. And You heard right there. How? But he says he because I still loved him.
