You mentioned antibiotic resistance. Were huge issue. So sorry please continue. But it's important. It is yeah and that what what i like about your statement jason that if we switched to that we just not doing good for our body which is taken care of the health all all nation and the health of the planet earth is extremely born as well so then number four is about physical activity and we have this strange mindset about physical activity. So it's either. I need to do a like a marathon. i needed to do. I need to become like our man or woman or just sitting at home doing nothing watching tv so we humans we tend to be like black and white we really binary and i do. Think ten thousand steps a day measured by your favorite wearable. Is i like that. I'd motion via my fit bit my aura. My work so so. I do the same i so i use orange to measure my sleep. It's just much more convenient Sleeping with apple watch. You didn't need to be gonna focus on apple. Watch your. I actually have in on a feed before the for two years and i miss my feedback time so my probably all switch and like you take whatever wearable you you like and then thousand steps they and the beauty of walking that. You just need to dedicate a lot of time to that. You can integrate into your healthy lifestyle and for our audience. I've seen the lord of studies about actually how many steps you can take so. It's not done thousand. It's signed from seven thousand. It's almost like a black tall. So you can easy to seven thousand. I tend to communicate them thousand because we just need to have like a little bit of the moonshot in trump's of the steps so weekend if we do like seven thousand is going to be great again and then on top of that you can add whatever you want for example. I love yoga. So i add yoga on top of that lie. In addition to stretching you obviously need to do cardio i make sure they really lazy with guardia. But you need to do like our in the call of guardia. Hopefully two or three times a week like thirty minutes or forty five minutes each to train your heart system and vessel system is so so that's a little bit more involved. There's been a lot around high intensity interval training these short bursts young. You talk about how were sciences on hit versus. I guess this is. I don't know how to find. This is a little.

A Special Breathwork Session To Help You Sleep
"What's up action trade. Ag year host and founder. Of my seven jukka. My seven chucker dot com. The place where we help you calm your mind. Relax you nova system and expedience. Deep states of bliss andres episode. I wanted to give you a glimpse into war responsible through work as many of you know. I conduct breath work healing circles on zoom every week on sunday mornings and wednesday evenings in these sessions have really been helpful in helping people cope with what's going on in the word right now but also reduce stress to calm their minds relaxed inova system and open up more possibility but there are so many more of you out there that can potentially benefit from these sessions but maybe a wondering waters breath work and whether breath for israeli as effective as people say it is right. That's why today we're going to do a breath work session with the music with the breadth with me guiding you through the process. But before that. I wanted to quickly talk about what breath work does for your body and a device that has recently caught my attention lately. There is helping me switch off my negative stress. And then we'll begin our session together all right so firstly stress. Activates your fight or flight. Sympathetic response leaves you feeling distracted overwhelmed and makes it difficult for you to get sleep. Stress also plays a key role in our evaluation sometimes especially to run away from a predator or to solve it challenging problem. You need the energy to make it happen. That's when your heart rate increases your cortisol levels rise and your blood shoots to your limbs but this is like stepping on your gas pedal of your car and it's not really sustainable because you need to at some point switch off your stress and start relaxing so their energy can be used for other functions like digestion and sleep and creativity when that switch off does not take place. Your body is constantly releasing stress. Hormones like cortisol making your breathing shallow and fast and sending your heart rates up and your heart rate variability down. What does hundred variability h. r. e. which is most reliable invasive biometric of stress measures the balance between your batta sympathetic rest and digest nova system. And you're sympathetic. Which is your fight and flight branch of your nervous system. A high heart rate variability gender lee indicates a strong guardia vascular system and low levels of stress being in a constant state of fight or flight makes it physiologically harder to focus harder to meditate. Relax sleep or even exercise because your body and your mind think that you are under threat and needs to be escaping danger and not sleeping not focusing on your work now like i said this does of abyss. But when it's left unchecked this chronic stress increases your risk of developing insomnia anxiety depression and chronic been and this in general makes you feel tired. Sluggish unhappy of causes. You've been and might even lead to some kind of illness. now breads workout. You switch off your negative stress and switch on your rest and relax branch off your system. And i'm going to show you exactly how to do that today. Now on top of that. I'm always on the lookout for other ways other devices. That will help us do the same so we can amplify this process of relaxation now. Recently company or apollo neuroscience sent me that device guard the apollo neuro which is a fascinating mention. Now this device. Which i'm wearing right now. Works on dutch therapy. And it creates these gentlemen waves vibration. That stimulates your rest and digest batta sympathetic nervous system response and it restores balance to your body. Now this is cutting its technology action tribe because this is the latest data about you but it's also influencing your stress levels at physiological level. This device stimulates touch. And i'm realizing the touch might be more crucial to our health and survival than we think it is in the midst of this crazy pandemic and social isolation you and me. We're not getting all the touch that we need and touch is a powerful sense from an evolutionary standpoint. It is the most important way that mammals communicate safety and love and assurance to one another different forms of dutch vibration. Heat gored a soothing massage along hug or even a pat on the back can change how you feel in ways that can be measured biologically now researchers found certain frequencies of are found to be soothing and significantly. Increase your better sympathetic dawn. Others can be more energizing and can increase your heart rate and other measures of sympathetic activity. So
Quim Torra, the president of the regional government of Catalonia, has officially been disqualified from office
"Last November in the build up to a general election in Spain Kim Torah, the president of the Regional Government of Catalonia hung a banner on the building in which the government sits demanding the freedom of certain of his colleagues presently in prison or in exile, and what we are going to ask Mister Sanchez. Okay. Obviously and of repression to sit together in these table of negotiations with no conditions that means that we are going to put on. The table, these referendum, these right of Catalonia to self determination, and we want to ask Mr Scientific for the amnesty for our colleagues imprison this week. This act appears to have caused cream Torah his job Spain's Supreme Court has upheld a previous decision banning him from public office eighteen months a consequence of him disobeying an earlier court order to remove the poster which was held to violate election laws against displaying political materials in were indeed on public buildings. He was also fine. Thirty thousand euros treated to a judicial wigging for his quote stubborn blunt repeated and obstinate on quote refusal to do as he was told. Others naturally be afraid of these magistrates if the Supreme Court would decide whether to disqualify democratic and legitimate president for having defended freedom of expression justice prisoners, coalitions, and the return of the exiles these traits today have in their hands. Something much more important than my political futures wanted. Not For any banner. But for banner that defended the fundamental rights denied I mean stylish kitchen. Inevitably given the nature of populist nationalist movements of the tight which Mr Tara leads he and his supporters will regard this damnation as a ringing endorsement. The practical upshot of this decision is that Catalonia has a new acting president, vice president and Economy Minister Arrogance and the Embassy of Catalan independence have been stoked once again with potentially combustible consequences. For Listeners who've been sufficiently bewildered by recent global events that decathlon succession crisis feels like something that happened circa the battle of Salamanca as opposed to three years ago a brisk recap is possibly in order. In October, two thousand and seventeen, the procession regional government of Catalonia through a referendum on independence. This vote had already been declared illegitimate by Spain's national government ruled illegal by Spain's constitutional. Court. and was widely boycotted by pro unionists within Catalonia. What they are pushing is not democracy it's a mockery of democracy travesty of democracy. Referendum do not equal or do not equate democracy. The result was ninety percent in favor of independence but on a turnout of only forty three percent. Nevertheless on October twenty, seventh, two, thousand and Seventeen Catalonia's parliament. Independence Solutia. The COLOSIO Delta repetant parliamentary get rather sit down. Though in Punta. The worst Zimba. Spain's national government was unimpressed by this and accordingly sacked Catalonia's leaders dissolved its parliament and instituted direct rule from Madrid Catalonia's. Can Preach Demont and a few other putative architects of the Catalan nation skipped the country. Wisely, it turned out those who stayed were arrested and charged with treason several received hefty prison sentences including Catalan vice president, Auriol Carris, currently serving thirteen years. President preached amount remains in exile in Belgium from where he has managed to get elected to European Parliament as a representative of Spain Vice? President John Carey has also been elected to European Parliament although for obvious reasons is yet take his seat. Absolutely none of which has caused the idea of Catalan independence to go away at least not entirely though recent polls do suggest dwindling enthusiasm for the idea from nearly forty nine percent at the time of the referendum to perhaps forty two percent. Now, President Torre has strongly suggested that regional elections may be held early in two thousand, twenty one, which he is already framing as a choice as he puts it between democracy and freedom or repression and imposition. The, difficulty with this argument is that in the present dispensation, Catalonia is not short of either democracy or freedom. It is the richest part of what is by global standards a wealthy country. It enjoys considerable autonomy electing its own parliament flying signed flag, speaking its own language, controlling its own police and many of the public services, including schools and healthcare. The Catalan independence movement often looks and sounds less like some heroic struggle to slough off a brutal imperialist yoke. The net does populist insurrection like Brexit, another self indulgent tantrum thrown by the complacent citizens of a prosperous and orderly nation rebelling against some imaginary tyranny door is breaking. Independent United Kingdom. The difference of course is that Mr Torah his colleagues and supporters do have a case on the repression and imposition front as well. The referendum of two thousand and seventeen was a stunt which all, but begged Madrid to overreact and indeed. Did Not just in its heavy-handed persecutions of the independence movements, ringleaders. But in the ham-fisted response of the National Police and Guardia Civil, which left hundreds of pro-independence protestors injured and Spain's government looking like exactly the authoritarian overlords that Catalonia's government was accusing them of being. Versus the cycle of Grievance keeps turning in firing president. Torres Spain might be about to discover again the folly of punishing those who want to be punished.

about thirty years probably longer right forty years that they never get done now they gonna ask red state citizens to pay for it but their dream wish list everything's free what's free deal Guardia airport look already is always under construction is the worst airport pretty much in the entire country and it's always under construction if I can't remember a time it has been under construction I mean and you get nothing in terms of of anything from the state of New York well maybe they should have thought about these things what it what is the mayor and his wife what would they spend nine hundred million one billion almost one billion dollars on her get healthy program and nobody knows where the money is a Charlene McCray the blahs yul's wife yet however they have never been held accountable okay then you got Cuomo spent seven hundred and fifty million New York tax dollars are literally on a on a solar project in upstate New York it failed its mothballed the got bought out by somebody six hundred million dollars on a microchip company that didn't go well either ninety million a light bulb this all new green deal crap and now he's saying that what the people that live in states that elect responsible legislators and senators and governors that balance their budgets fund their pensions live within their means have better infrastructure better maintained than all of New York and all the money that they get from taxes from from taxpayers in New York on top of the New York City they have their own set of taxes you know now you got dot com read the Blasi wants what he wants a nine billion dollar check it ain't happening says in corona virus related and on top of it all nobody in New York and even think of a way to open up new York safely I have no plan it's just a hodgepodge mix of everything you know thrown up against the wall and you see this all over the place all these democratic governors the Commonwealth governor of north of member him well deliver the baby and then there will make sure the baby is comfortable then we'll let the mother decide in consultation with our doctor what we're gonna let the baby live or die I mean that lunatic he's not wearing a mask telling everybody in the Commonwealth of Virginia to wear a mask you got the democratic New Mexico governor violating the corona virus order kept the business open why so she could buy jewelry the Michigan governor now we know our husband it was only a joke makes a phone call because he wants to get his boat in the water people in Michigan they can't even cut their lawn and then we find out that the governor governor shut down Whitmer said about her husband that he went to their second home to rake leaves in the northern part of the state and he came back right after he rake the leaves but when she ordered the the opening in some of these more rural areas in Michigan she said the people do not don't rush up there and overwhelm the area well why did her husband go up there yeah it's it's insane you know it is unbelievable I've never seen anything like this you know and well and another thing to be angry about CDC suggesting coronavirus fatality rate higher than the flu but eight times lower than the models and the estimates from the experts that you know originally were projecting two and a half million dead Americans you know you have the great doctor Fauci I respect for Dr Fauci he's dedicated his life to saving lives but he's he has a minute anywhere close to perfect in this you know early or mid mid March saying you don't need to wear masks now you say you have to wear a mask that he changed his tune now he's back to you know well the second wave now of cold it may never happen and mask wearing is symbolic respectful okay I would be my termite but you do what you want but they don't know what the hell they're talking about now a lot of it is because China lied a lot of it is if people made you know with the best gas they have this is so you know this is this is art is much is science sometimes when you're in the early stages of this you gotta go with your gut here they're the best person with the best got ended up being Donald Trump travel ban quarantines subsequent travel bans they were impeaching him at the time you know the media sensationalism what they've told the public that would happen it didn't happen and reality now look I've I'm pro life I believe every life is a gift from god and I want everybody healthy and and hopefully we're going to learn the lessons that I outlined yesterday on the show because of we look at the states that were successful we can learn from governor Disentis we can learn from governor abit and even governor camp I was critical of early on I thought the tattoo parlor idea opening up and the nail salon was little not so I was wrong on the nail salon I still don't know about the tattoo thing what do I know maybe they maybe they can cut out of an area where the guys just reaching under the plexiglass and do that I've I have no idea I would recommend getting a tattoo now wait and I don't want to put people out of work if you can figure out how to do it safely R. well I was gonna say we'll send Linda she'll go get a tattoo for everybody all my god never never now you know you don't do you want to hear the mean side of me is that my dad would kill me if I did that no I just told my kids I just you know burn it off yeah I'm like no that's not happening all right let's get tore it and by the way that the Bakul New York New Jersey Pennsylvania Michigan literally the single dumbest decisions in this entire pandemic and then in New York it gets worse because the governor sneaks into a budget bill legal protections so that hospitals and nursing homes a donated a million Bucks to him in twenty eighteen they can't get sued as a result of what happened here well putting Colbert nineteen patients in a nursing home was a bad idea from the get go all right let's go to Jim is in Illinois Jim hi how are you glad you called Sir John I'm just so upset this governor called Cuomo's absolutely culpable for the death of those people that he sent to these the nursing homes and the nursing home people the innocent citizens that were living there thinking that there are guys in your head some of normal life in their final days and then this guy census the all the days of his just saw anybody so full that is full of crap trying to blame the president who's who's done everything bent over backwards to enable these to give both these governors including him every tool kit of the available and he bypasses that system incentives instead of sending him to the facilities provided by our president he sent them to these nursing homes by the by his mandate it was not yet no no first is blaming the nursing homes that is all pattern of excuses here he lashed out at the nursing homes it's all about money on my one and then he said you are responsible for your own PP I'm Mike house I took my breath away because this is a guy that demanded everything from the federal government because he didn't listen it was own health task force and they had no ventilators in the city or in the state and they had two separate studies saying you're gonna need them and they didn't get them but trump made it work he got it done for them man the facilities built the hospitals it gave all the PP equipment I mean the biggest largest fastest medical mobilization in the history of mankind and thank god these manufacturers didn't shut down in the food supply chains that shut down a New York completely would have died I'd it's unbelievable I'm so angry about it I thank you words can't describe it and it is it is beyond any comprehension I have that was the one constant that always made sense the elderly those with underlying conditions those with compromised immune systems are going to be the most vulnerable they were last word Jim yeah I know and then the and I'm right there with your shot and I I don't know who's going to hold him accountable he needs to be held accountable these people cannot keep sliding and getting them just by passing the Buck off to somebody and somebody else for political gain and and not having any consequences for their for murder it's a socially murder you know what he did unbelievable it's it's unreal then you got the situation a bit I can't even watch this video anymore it upsets me so much that this is the I I cannot believe that this went on for between six and eight minutes it is full force knee head to the pavement no resisting handcuffed it's all over it was over when it started put him in the back of the car somebody stand up and say stop unbelievable I don't get it it drives me nuts all of the you know how frustrating all right let's go to Jim in Utah Jim how are you under our veterans and their radio greetings and so right now you're you're great the president's great Kaley is amazing song highlights wife is a nurse in a way that you know that your grade the president's K. Kaley is amazing okay keep going so if you want to hear a little stack going about Kayleigh McEnany led army rather she wants in turn on my TV show your amazing how that will that work for you a little later a little shaken up following no recovery Saudi Arabia is a real quick so what is the researchers in southern Utah does home care and hospice assisted living as a work for the state her sister is in the hospital administrator in southern Utah office they get one of the big hospitals the HMO down there asking my wife in the beginning of March when she got there like when should I worry once I get nervous I'll let you know let you know that you know March or April same thing may simply her sister's going nuts what's the shrink wrap the kids who grew up adoring kids should grow up the parents house the bureaucracy at the big game tomorrow is on like the sky is falling in what do you do and my wife's is reasonable for Tesla models are pretty much what's being brought to us is what's occurring as regular crazy so is it just goes to show you that even everybody's under the banner of the sort of the SADC and the organizations in the states that there there's information just flying back and forth and it's one of the other not one person or assisted living facility that you work for part time ever had any symptoms of one of the nurses that the positive character list for two weeks but you're right of course throughout rural areas always super busy look it I'm just give me on my anecdotal information about you know I think we learned a lot one of the things we learned is those that never closed the food supply chain medical supply chain you know all the way through the guy stocking the shelves they they all wore masks and they didn't get it and at least where I live every store I've been to I've been doing a number of men such as one I go to a number of stores I've been trying you know me I'm trying to spend money everywhere next on buying more food to put weight back on because of buying too much food.

"We recently spoke to frontman Samir Guardia about the breakout album in the new issue of relevant. Here's a part of that conversation. Talk to me a little bit about about MIR master when you try to make another album like, what's what are the initial conversations about like what we're gonna do different this time. How are we going to make things fresh and interesting for us? Yeah. I mean, I think more than anything what we really enjoyed for home in the strange not to say that we haven't done this in the patches at home of the straight. So like the most unique to our experience as humans in America in the world and having that honesty became driving factor for this record and more than anything. You know, we just wanted to share ourselves see would do the music, and and also trying get other people to share with each other about who they are what they are and have control of that that image. They put into world, but that honesty and trying to trying to just write good songs was was, you know, our absolute Quested, I think, you know, the tonal stuff was kind of some a question for later. Whereas, you know, I feel like with a lot of rock band than you don't mess in the past. Even you know, there was kind of concept of we were talking about the record. How we how are we going to make it fresh? It was more like a sonic thing that we were talking about like we're gonna incorporate these instruments because his what we're listening to and it did feel natural. But this time more than anything. I think it was just just like trying to be honest. Being honest is kind of it's it's going increasingly tricky, and you talk about this a little bit and in the bio, and I really resonated with the idea that, but the digital sphere and with the current political moment that we're in it just feels like there's so many it's so complicated to say, what's actually on your mind. What you're really feeling because it gets misconstrued. He gets taken the wrong way. And you feel like you get get sort of fractured and to a bunch of little pieces and split across different environments. So then you had this opportunity to come in and released kind of a very cohesive statement and put it out into the world is that does that feel more challenging now given up the light very divisive political cultural moment that we're in than it has with some of your past albums. Yes. And no, I think, you know, what's home strange hours record that we did before Trump was even an office. And before you know, we really kind of started. "Thompson today. Gary we'll be back Monday probably bruised and battered from his week fantasy baseball camp the weekend to throw some ice on those. Oh. Yeah. Absolutely. A former Trump adviser Roger stone says he believes his arrest in Bob Muller's. Russia investigation was politically motivated, and he's vowing to plead not guilty and fight those charges. We'll get all the latest coming up after the news at the top of the hour. But first this morning that alert that there was a ground. Stop at LaGuardia. Made me feel like the shutdown was going to be over pretty quickly. Yeah. That was absolutely. The the the word that we got and the kind of where we are waiting on that. There was going to be a problem at the nation's airports any one of them, and there were murmurs about ten days ago that that something might happen. But today, you're right. The the fever broke Mark Remillard joins us now from New York, Mark how are things going. Well, they've actually improved since earlier today where there were about twenty four hundred flight delays in total. They're out of LA Guardia. At least there were a couple dozen cancellations as a result of an increase in sick calls for air traffic controllers, particularly what we've learned is one center in Leesburg, Virginia, six call outs out of a thirteen total air, traffic controller. So that's all it took was six. Call outs about half the staff for thousands of delays across the eastern seaboard as a result. Right. And and cancellations of many flights and disruptions among the nation's air system, essentially, and there was a big concern that something like this would happen as the shutdown continued good news. We have word of a obviously a tentative deal that the government may reopen temporarily. But if it happens to shut down again, we might be back where we started. That really just put it in perspective, though, that it was just a handful of sick outs that or no shows or call them what you want that was enough to prompt that kind of ripple effect and that was enough to prompt a showdown that was resolved in just maybe three hours time. Yeah. About three hours we understand between the time that the president was briefed on the delays and the situation regarding air traffic controllers, and these increases sick outs or sick, call out to when we got word that there was a deal now whether how much that played in the decision making here, you know, remains to be seen. But that is a very close time line here and the union that represents air traffic controllers issued a pretty dire statement, they basically said we don't condone call outs or anything that would. Impact the national airspace, basically, and it's illegal for them to strike, but they basically said that they are at a breaking point because these workers have been having to come to work for, you know, more than a month now without a single paycheck and here, they are today missing a second paycheck, and so that's obviously impacted their abilities. And and put a lot of stress on them and their families, and you hit the nail on the head there, Mark. These are people who were not calling in sick or not showing up to work at the airports are at air traffic control towers because they didn't want to work. They actually need to go get other jobs in the meantime because without without pay for a month a year. Many households are just screwed really. And so Mike Mike concern. Now is yes, the government shutdown is over for three weeks. Now starting probably this afternoon, but that doesn't put paychecks in the mail tomorrow for these people are today. So what are they gonna do contingent contingency plan as we move forward into the weekend in next week? Yeah. That's a great question. And you know, the good news is they will get back pay. So obviously what they did miss for the last month sale. Get and pay going forward for the next three weeks. But you know, that may only resolve some of the financial problems that they've had to deal with and this is across the board. This is not just the air traffic controllers the TSA agents. We've heard so much about sick outs. And and other federal workers that are in the same boat, essentially who are either working without pay or simply have told that have been told don't come to work. And so it's a difficult situation. No doubt. And specifically with the air traffic controllers, obviously, they have an incredibly important job in maintaining a safe airspace above our heads. But on top of that the situation even in three weeks from now the overall issues that the air traffic controllers are facing is not fixed. The the union says that stopping for air traffic controllers across the country is that a thirty year low, and then you have a government shutdown for more than a month, which is force these people to work without pay and. Here. You are with the situation that we had today. And and fortunately, welcome news. There's a resolution, but boy we could be back in the same position in three weeks wire staffing at a thirty year low. That's interesting. Yeah. It's because of a number of different issues. But the the statement that I had from the air traffic controllers didn't necessarily specify, but we just understand that this has been an ongoing issue, Mark. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Yeah. Thanks. Mark Remillard, their ABC news. I mean, I I don't think it's a gig. Everybody's angling to get don't get me wrong. But I was surprised at the staffing. Thirty. To thirty hours and the stress and that job. I forget about it. That's why I say that some people think that President Trump was picked off the apprentice as an entertainer and just run for president willy nilly a couple years ago. When in fact, there was one man who met Trump in one thousand nine hundred seventy nine and declared this man is going to be president thirty years go by forty years go by and that becomes a reality. And it wasn't with a lot of work done in the weeds by this political operative to make Donald Trump, the president of the United States that man's name is Roger stone friends with Trump starting back in nineteen seventy nine and friends to this day knowing that politics is all about chaos in combat and showmanship. Roger stone has been able to work behind the scenes to make Donald Trump president it started in the eighties and it ended with the coronation in two thousand sixteen. Now, he is in trouble with Bob Muller in the investigation looks like he had something to do with the fall of the Democratic Party in the summer before the election. We'll tell you all about the indictment of Roger stone. We come back, Gary and Shannon. Mark Thompson in and Amy kings. Got the.
