"Wasn't about that. I was doing something. And what I heard was an s fire like that sounds about right for well, it would not surprise anyone in 2020. I say everyday. I'm still waiting for the aliens to show up. Oh, my gosh. Take me to their leader, their feet. I would go with him. And I think I would I'm bored yet Assigned me a puggle first, even if I even if I only last in their atmosphere for 20 minutes, I'm like I'll do it. Yeah, Let's do this. So I was looking through social media and hey, please, if you haven't followed me on Instagram, if you would At Fork reporter at Fork Porter on Instagram. I may even do my brother and I are not going to do our quarantine speakeasy Tyco's 4th July, but there's a good chance when I'm grilling off and I just go live. Honey Instagram just hang out with other people that are doing stuff. So I may do that tonight. And the fun thing is, you don't know if I've had a couple pops or not. And, um Both are entertaining. I think Might get me fired. But whatevs, so follow me on Instagram at Fork reporter, but I was looking lately at some of these Videos online of the flood in Newport. Yeah, for beach. So I was like Okay? So it's flooding everywhere. There's Kobe. There's a pandemic. On we are dealing with, you know. Racial issues and equality, issues and all these things, and I'm going okay on s fire makes total sense. It just is like, figure that and then I think Frogs from the sky, I think is the next one. These those killer bees something, But where did they go? I don't even know. Don't care. Don't I just keep moving on like jumping from rock to rock. It's like no So that's why I think I filled in the blank because it made the most sense to me. Yeah, that's fire. Sounds about right right now. Plus, we had that. You know, the big dust plume from the Sahara that from you know, the ancestors were speaking from Africa. They were coming. Hi. This is Steve Gregory reporting live from an S fire. Back to you, Steve Gregory. A lot going on. You don't talk about Steve. Steve saves the day every day. Oh, I love my boy, Steve. Or you kidding me? Yeah, He's the MVP around here. Oh, you could call me any time, day or night. He's on a story where no jokes, no jokes, and I've driven with him. Ah, like we'll go from point A to point B or you think that's what we're going to do? Add He will have to stop the car multiple times because I'll get called into a stories. You know we were out to eat or something. He's like, Ah, Come back from meeting goes. Hold on. I gotta pull over and why they found a dead body here on DH. Itjust came like great. I've gotta wait in the car while he investigates a dead body. Griffith Park. That's its non stop, and I think he's actually out there in Lancaster. He's probably working. Yeah, I mean that He had a story yesterday from out there, so I'm sure he'll get the update. So I did just updated. Yeah. Wow. Wow. All right, Steve. God bless you. And and your work ethic. He has been there He was in a chase once a car chase. Alongside the PT And then it broke out into gunfire. And it was all live. I think on his show at the time. I know it's crazy crazy. Think that's covered by workman's comp? No, I don't even know why. I don't know what we'd do. I don't know if that ever happens. Thankfully, he's smart enough to not get in to close. But he gets in too close for comfort. That's for sure seemed Gregory Chapman, whose alright myths about grilling so first let's cover a couple things. First. Grilling and barbecuing are not the same. Think. Okay, here in the Southland. We tend to grill grilling cooks food over high heat for short amount of time. Ah, barbecuing uses low indirect heat, cook food for a long period of time break down all that tissue and things like that. So what we normally do is we normally grow here in the South Land. Now some people do barbecue. They smoke and they do things loan slow, and that's wonderful. But for the most of us when you're doing burgers, even stakes and hot dog stuff like that it's high heat. On doing things quickly, not really letting the low and slow, which is super fun and super delicious, But I like the name implies, takes a lot of time. So the other thing is you need to coat food in a bunch of oil to prevent from sticking. No, no, no, no, no, no. If you clean your grill And ah Season. Your great that's gonna be enough. Now, if the food deserve some oil, that fine lawyer you don't want so much, and this goes for veggies as well. You want to put some oil on veggies because they're mostly water and you're the high heat is going to start. Trying them out. So you want something to buffer that and add that fat, which is also moisture into them, but and sometimes on stakes. I'll toss in a little olive oil and salt pepper. Um, but If you keep your grill clean. Man you season it with a little oil till it starts to smoke off. Then it's going to be just fine. Now I know And I'm again. I'm speaking to you Do't because women are smarter than this. Guys will tell me all the time. They don't clean their greats because it adds flavor. Which to me is like someone saying, I don't clean my forks, knives and spoons because it will add flavor. That's disgusting. Clean your grill. Season it and that's great, but you don't want stuff from the last thing on there. That's just being lazy. All right, we come back. We'll talk about gas versus charcoal Open versus closed led different ways to clean the grill and and more so go nowhere. It is the fork report on Fourth of July. I'm you're well, fed host Neil Saavedra. Now, let's get some news with Layla Mohammed in the cave. I newsroom firefighters have put out the brush fire on the side of the 10 freeway,.
