What's up you love that that just energy to where he wasn't even called out on no-one like mention his name or safeties in general about these titans or what these titans can do just like. Oh here goes top. Listen jimmy wards at all right. Let me turn on violence right now. Because i'm gonna go out these guys necks and that's exactly what he did. And the only one. I could realistically say okay. That one could probably put up. Fifty would be travis kelsey because patrick mahomes throw fit the ball in any bucket and he will force that window he will force that throwing window Even if it's not there. Darren waller i think is a hell of a tight end but derek carr is not gonna throw on jimmy ward if he sees jimmy award guarding him man to man and then the other tight anti those would be the only two i would be worth debating about The other one like zakar. When did he do last year. He was not good. George kittles obviously on jimmy ward's team so that's a benefit there Jimmy grams really. Old gregg olson retired like east. These titans thurgood but they're not anyone's that you're gonna wanna debate when it comes to jimmy. Jimmy ward may not be a household name like a tyron matthew. But i do think he should be in that that spectrum with tyron matthew because he's a hell of a safety and i'm glad he finally got a home with this team in. They gave him a home in stop putting him at outside corner and let him play that free safety and the reason why they honey badgers because he does play that. Honey badger role toward sometimes. You'll see him up high. Sometimes you'll see him in the box. Sometimes you'll see him in the slot Sometimes you'll see him blitzing he may not blitz to the amount of honey badger has with kansas city. But maybe that changes this year under d'amico ryan's and now we're talking about jimmy ward the blitzer So i don't think his his ceiling. His potential is fully tapped yet. And then like tj hopkinson He's flashed bit like he. He's a good tight end. Whose quarterback now jared goff. Jared guy i don't think jerry goff's really gonna wanna test jimmy ward. Yeah that that's the one that may be able to get jimmy ward this year if there is a one byte coalpit saw so like a receiver more so than a tight in true i. I don't know if this is true or not. But it feels like the forty. Niners have to play the falcons every year in december and just like it drives me nuts and i always get nervous about that game i. I'm still nervous about that game for some reason. I don't feel good about it. Leo there one of those teams. That's always going to be a tough out for the forty niners You know when they had. Then no he's he's not gonna win But they have talented receivers. Like calvin ridley kyle pits their backfield's a little more of a question mark. But mike davis did look really good in carolina last year. Forty niners legend. That is mike davis. So we'll see what happens is definitely going to be tough. They got the oc from tennessee. Now they're so they'll be good Hopefully they're just not good when they play the forty niners in december. I mean i still have. They beat the forty niners twenty nine. And with this tight end camp obviously came the question. What about Tim Tebow? And they admitted to Bo's not invited to said. Camp here is all said, and Kittles explanation. I wish nothing but the best for Tim to and I hope he has a fantastic season playing tight end, But it's hard for me to not invite like a backup tight end on Let's say the New York Giants, as opposed to inviting a guy that just started playing tight end position because things we do have limited spots. I wish I could make it a brand every every NFL title. It could come ever. It's successful to everybody. Like what we try to do this year is we, uh, we wanted like to pay for everything for all the titans that come to kind of make it a special like event for all tight ends. And so we booked up an entire hotel like they're completely out of room have every room taken. So hopefully in the next years to come, we can make it like open and available to everybody. Here's what used to piss me off as a tight end in the NFL, and maybe George feels the same way. But like There's one position in the NFL that gets all the I never played the position or even played the sport of football before right. I played rugby. I played basketball. I played Australian rules football. I played right like there's all these guys that never played tight end let alone football and then when they want to make the transition to try and in the NFL. Like, Yeah, Let's just make that guy at tight end and I always used to take offense to that. You have to be good at everything like you can't just like you. Can you can you can be an elite route Runner. You can catch the bar. Really? Well, you can run really well. But then if you can't like, hold your own in the run game, and you can't like taking a hit in the face by £300 defensive end Then, like you kind of have that kind of like, um, call plays around you instead of like you being able to be the focal point, But you have to be very good at pass pro running routes, uh, setting the edge being able to crack on the safe to be able to ship block a defensive end like Like, Yeah, You have to be in the backfield for protection, like running back like you just kind of do everything. So the first part of why Tebow wasn't invited a tight end. You makes total logical sets. They wanted to pay for everybody to be able to be there. So they couldn't afford it. Everybody who wanted to come or he didn't plan for everybody, obviously every tight end in the league. So it was selective and you can't put Tim Tebow 1/6 shrink tight and playing his first snap to the position to tight end you, instead of a backup on a legitimate team made reference, like the backup tight end of the New York Giants, so that makes complete sense. It's not meant to disrespect to Tebow, etcetera. It's just that numbers would suggest that He can't make it this cut. They did go on to say that. If he plays this season at tight end he would absolutely get the invite next year, So I don't think it's any type of grand dis on. Tebow makes perfect sense. The second part, though, of that. Is the part that's most interesting to me. And that Greg Olson makes a really valid points. When Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez are playing basketball. The idea is, well make him a tight end. When Tim Tebow wants to come out of baseball retirement. They say, Well, make him a tight end. When you have guys coming from non football Desai Prinz And they want to bring them into the NFL or college. They say, Well, make up a tight end. And if you're Gregg Olson or you're one of these other tight ends, I could totally understand why that would bother you. Totally understand. I think it makes total sense. What Kittle was saying. There are all of the reasons I have poo pooed the Tebow decision. Why I have been critical of the Jaguars decision. It's because of all the things he just brings up. At tight end we get lulled into thinking well, it's just an easy position to pick up because, like former basketball players do it. When in reality, it might be one of the most difficult because you've got so many different responsibilities. You've got responsibilities in the run game. You've got responsibilities in the past game. You've got responsibilities as a pass catcher..
