"I jump in here real quick. Say so. I wanted to say this at the beginning. Can't and i don't mean to to hijack this but this is i'm a kind of person So i wanna say this because for anyone listening you're arrowhead pride That's been listening or been a fan or a member of era of pride for a long time. I want you to know how cool it is for both craig. I from when we first started at probably like eleven years ago he was kahlo phoenix. I was bajour that just wanted. We just did this thirty hours a week. Writing articles just trying to converse because we enjoy talking with other chiefs fans. We didn't do it to be right or to have the best analysis before that was a thing order to break news. We just want to talk about the chiefs with other cheese fans and to know where we were dude when we first started doing this and now to know that we're to do a live show and a place like jack values our opinion enough to carry on the conversation not to be right not to break news and not to be that media person but just to have the conversation and people care enough to establish value for that and now we could eat barbecue and talk football. Are you kidding me looking back at that. You and i have never lost that. And i don't think anyone on the outside will understand like how long we've been doing this long before the chiefs report. I did this for five years for fined for not a lot of money because my friends were doing it and now to be here like this is awesome dude. Yeah no if. I went back those eleven or so years ago and told myself that the first thing i would tell it is threatened. Cherish the hair that you have on your head because it's leaving you right now and then the second thing is eventually this is going to turn into something that people are going to want to listen to to be a part of jeff allen is going to join you every i mean seriously. That's in getting drafted like right there. And that was the first thing that we were talking about. Yeah yeah but it. It's just amazing. We appreciate all of you for listening and all of you for doing this but yeah no it really has been phenomenal. Okay with over. And understeer ride the bj kissel craig's doug gravy train. So there's only one well for training. It's not greg style enough room forever where he can all be part of the conversation. Say that greg A lot a lot a lot. let's talk about. I wanna hear because we're going to hear lots of stories. Like i said from like jeff like he's going to tell us plenty of raiders stories and he's got good ones wanna hear story from you by what a story that. You remember the raiders. Something that sticks out in your mind other than maybe not necessarily the terrible field conditions like the videos used to post of rain coming down on the mine. Yeah yeah but i mean. Do you have stories like that and other stories something like that. Yeah i have some random ones a lot of like just the emotions coming back flooding back. It just seemed like for the first two or three years that we went out to oakland with chiefs. There's some sort of primetime game but it was always rainy or wet at. He was just the field. It just happened to be raining like three years ago but then mentally for me by like only experiences at that stadium particularly early. We're just like wires hanging down the tunnels and just water coming places is not supposed to be in the wires or like smoking and then the players like dodge. The wires as they ran out to the field. And you guys think i'm kidding. I've taken literally take video if you go back and find him or just like smoking. Wires were like millions and millions of dollars worth of like say like asset like these athletes. Like they don't have enough safety to protect these guys from livewires so that was bad stories. Like marcus peters first. Game back in oakland. I'll always remember that. Because the emotion that he displayed after that game with a gain that he had and i remember talking to security guards that i was following marcus after a warm up so just following. I was slightly stalking him from a distance on lock it up and he went up and like other the security guards as he ran into locker but he was one of the guys who stands by the field. The dude is like six seven like three twenty so it was like a backup guard just in case but deuce huge. I remember going up to him afterwards and i was like. Hey do you know like him like why did this guy just randomly that much emotion. He's not gonna everybody and he goes. No i was one of high school coaches marcus. Since he was a kid so like just to know that would he came back. There are multiple people that worked for the raiders who grew up in the same neighborhood so it wasn't just that he was going back playing for his team the people on the sidelines. He's known since he was a kid. When you go out there and look to the sideline it wasn't just you know the jerseys in the stands and that kind of stuff. It was more personal than it's always. Remember him shaking after the game when we went into interview him beyond the rest of it was just. Yeah just young people with a lot of bad makeup on and just yelling and screaming really bad trash talking. There were some who were good but the ones like in the black hole or they make like there's the black hole just as fans in the nfl. It made sense to me was like day. Just those are the people who want to be on. Tv being in the black hole as opposed to people that.

"So is that how much of that is like you like because it sounds like you you now fully know how to inhabit Greg and is that was that? Was a lot of that in the writing like had. They thought that Greg would talk this way or is that something that you've sort of like brought into things you know? I'm pretty sure it was in the writing Well, that's pretty sure. It's it's there because in the pilot I remember there's this scene in. Did stay in the pilot where. I'm sitting with Brian Inbetween Brian, and he I'm in the car and saying. You know if if there's if there's a way for me to scratch your back right when you scratch mine or not my you know. Yeah. Something I used the word perspicacious amazing. Yeah. That's the word I use. It tells you a lot about the way. Jesse Sees Greg totally is that he is scrambling in his thoughts and Appears maybe. But has this vocabulary weirdly a riot or or maybe he just thinks around rich. Smart people he's supposed to use the the big words he knows. He's trying to it's like it's it's the code he's trying to fit in. As if like and the irony being that the last thing in the world that that Logan is would ever use a word like that. You know he's like when they're quoting Shakespeare to him, he's just like you know fuck off. Totally, keep it as simple as possible. Just say what you want. Exactly like, why are we here? It's interesting too because it feels like you I mean, you know I. I've been I've been working on succession, but I'm a fan of all of your work and and I feel like the you know all the characters all the actors are inhabiting in such a deep way and it you know. So like you were saying before when you're talking about preparation and immersion, do you find yourself even are there certain? Obviously Greg has a sort of. physicality in his way to like do you now sort of naturally kind of like if I were to say to you you know like, okay, you're you're greg the egg right now. Do you do you naturally sort of does your body feel that really I'm just curious like how you know or would it take time like you're saying does is it sort of like give me two hours and I'll be greg kind of a thing you know. I. Think that's It would be in the wardrobe and putting putting Greg style suit or outfit Okay and then it would be yeah. The posture kind of changes I think the voice changes a little bit and then there's just an energy that kinda takes up. That's a like a little bit more hyper aware of the room, the key players in it right? That's a good point. Actually, it's very greg's very sensitive to the room, right but also like one of the things I I love by Greg to is sensitive to the room but also like oddly self-centered as well. You know like the way like I still remember that moment where you say like it's it's it's Gregory. Midst of this, you know like lion's den you're still like well, actually please call me Gregory. Demanding something exactly for his identity. Respect for some. Yeah exactly. Exactly. Yeah. I know I think I think that's totally the balance. He's like I got to do the right thing to do the right thing but I also got a really do what I WANNA do right now go for what I want. Exactly. which is remarkable because it's such a you know in that environment there's there's also the fact that Greg does have these ambitions you know in his actually incredibly ambitious Willing to walk in, you know in the bathroom and be like I'm I'm out of here. I'm Outta. Here, logo. He's trying to negotiate with him like even at his his his big night. Exactly I. I love that part of him I think. That for me is one of the most exciting parts about Greg is that. All the things that were the sort of ambition that I, myself sort of put a dampener on and I'm like, no, don't. Don't go up to that person and say right now don't. You know. Just read. Read the room. The Room Gregory's it and he's like everything is available. Where do I want to go the most right now? and. So there's just kind of freedom of like instinct and excitement and saying thoughts that are inside your head that most people don't say out loud. Yeah, and and I. I love that I mean that's a fun day to get to have. lost. It's awesome watching you and and and also I think you know I'm curious to like. It seems to me like the whole cast. You know you all have gotten to know each other so well, do you feel similarly to preparing yourself do you how much time do you all spend together because from from what I can tell you know it feels like this real family to me you know and and the way that you all interact. It feels like you have almost like a second nature where you just know like you respond to each other. So naturally in those roles. Yeah I. I don't know how but I think it just got built really quickly. I think Adam probably set us up perfectly and just sort of throwing us into these rooms and. Saying, say whatever you want to each other Karen you try something Nick, you start the conversation, the table and Everybody be basically gets permission in that way to embody your character see what happens like will use it. Maybe we want maybe it helps me doesn't but. But when you're put into that kind of initiation with a group of people. And you know in the pilot phase, it's all a mystery. You're. You're all buying into something that isn't a sure thing. Yup, and it's it's it's like. Well, let's just go for this. All right. Let's see I mean. Felt good that felt funny. What is this show? Like? Is this a drama as it a comedy? Am I? Doing this right I mean everybody's just wondering..

"Arlington sent me an email and copied me on it a listener of the show wrote him and said I listen to you this morning on inside automotive he listens to the website I thought I heard a special on the Mazda five which was actually a C. ex five I thought I heard you say twelve thousand nine ninety nine is that true I went to the website didn't see anything I later heard and say something about trying to correct you but you said that was the price I also heard all the dealers would honor the price did I misunderstand it in fact it was two different conversations I was talking which mark said you misunderstood it was referring to a price on a Mazda three that one of our former General Motors GM's gave out years ago on the show the incident was about six years ago the pricing on the twenty twenty C. ex five sport was thirty five hundred off MSRP I have nine thousand off on the twenty nineteen C. ex five diesel well mark corrected him but it shows that sometimes when you're listening to the radio you cross two different conversations I was talking about when they had I said don't Berman us about having Adam Berman on the show years ago and he said on a Mazda three he was gonna do twelve thousand nine ninety five a Mazda three sedan and I immediately knew it was thirty five hundred dollars back of his cost so I actually talked to him to try to back him off as a boy don't you mean fifteen nine ninety five which would still have lost money and Adam double down on that well he did not sell one that day but David Gomez who was running one of their other stores sold three and so they said yeah I don't have Adam do that anymore on the show and I said try to get him to stop but sometimes when you're on the radio you cross conversations I was making fun of somebody on the deal of the week making a huge error of judgment and then when I tried to let him back off of it he got more adamant about it sometimes it happens here's a stunning part Adam still didn't sell any of those that day is apparently people didn't think it was a deal of the week only three listeners bought one and guess what David took that thirty five hundred dollar loss on each of the three because that's what you do you make a mistake you do make a good let's go to Rick in Arlington Hey Rick well that was a great I got the email I just got the email as I watched your your deal on the screen okay I actually set up as a segue very good great Mr dealer round table this morning yes I heard a caller called in I think you had mentioned to him that Meretz Dodge had a deal of the week on a the eighteen Wheeler crashed beside them back into the top and while it was parked she was inside and all that kind of stuff and yet we are one I'm ultimately will have to classic and things like that "Dialogue and the animal activist sensibility. It has helped fuel them and and a portion of that should be laid at right at the feet of those internally in the sport that have fed into that momentum. So we'll see that Matt Discuss not just that topic I also have to fit in what transpired. Starting on Friday in Arizona and you heard yesterday Caught up in the Maelstrom of the signal fight. The signal dispute in Arizona Involving the OH. TV's and and the the two interests involving Arizona downs and Turf Paradise Dice and you know this has been a just a awful ongoing rancor that monarch dark the signal company owned by Astronomy Group is caught up in volved with because of how the Arizona Arizona Commission the Racing Commission should probably reach Greg Styles about this they got the legislature. In Arizona to pass a a mandate that the signal has to be available available to all outlets and monarch who has sided with Turf Paradise in the turf paradise versus Arizona downs standoff. They're caught up in it and because they're not offering they weren't offering the signals to the Arizona. Downs outlets now the state mandate prevents it from being offered in the Turf Paradise outlets so as a result players in Arizona which is already an awkward and convoluted you know. State situation for eighty W and Arizona's disaster but but nobody was able to watch her play the monarch content over the weekend so people that arrived to watch and bet on the races from Gulfstream. On Saturday there was no signal. That included the Hamiltons. Terry Hamilton went to go watch spooky channel. And that's what that's what was being you referred to by. Brian Lynch and I'd heard about this on Saturday afternoon from from a player in Arizona as as well so matt can report on that and Matt has significant Arizona ties. Actually so he's and he's been up on this whole situation Asian and there's a whole bunch of other things. I don't know if we'll get to all today. Matt also reported last week. I told you about the CHR. Be Testing training our testing as well whole bunch of things and there was actually a story that slip through the cracks from about ten days ago. Two weeks ago Equa Bass bought the American. Tell a timer and this should long-term turn should lead to better timing of races and more consistent in Equity base track master looking to expand their their there. GPS tracking systems. "I had a guy that was working for that used to tell people that he played it. Oh Shoe and come to find out. He he didn't play. Osu I had a real problem with this and no oh. I'm not gonNA tell you. His name coach after we get off and found out that he didn't really play form he just practiced with them a little bit as an extra. And it's like do you play form Rome. Just tell well forty INC magazine. Eighty five percent of candidates lie on their resumes so not shocking to me. Maybe shocking. To the thrive. How many candidates? It's you have to look at before you find a higher coach. I've heard you say ten I would say we probably interview twelve thirteen people before we find that one agrees like those twelve or thirteen as quickly as possible. Don't meander with guys at. You're like well he's not just right. It's you know I mean maybe we can coach him up. Yeah may weaken teaches. He didn't know he had to wear a shirt to work And maybe how about the basketball coaches that come wearing flip flops and shorts that were they have to show all of their boxers when they come to the interview. At least have the look of coach. At least have you. You know where you're using Deodorant Cologne or how about the women. That show almost bare-chested to the interviews. I had one that did that. And I don't even know what to do early local law though what's funny is my wife laughs at me because she'll watch and I look at a woman. Here's a bag over his head. Yeah but some people think that's a strategy and serious. It's like immediately turns me you wait until I turned the group interview of Richey one time. There's One lady who came and Ben could tell you she's wearing these crazy buttons Yay. You brought this lady heard about this profanity. She wore buttons and one of the buttons. He said something crazy. Okay and the buttons she had around her waist. said that says. Ask Me and I'll tell you how to do me or something like that. God Oh my goodness and so I was like because if she says anything to work here anything like character going hey. Why don't you take the tour? We'll call you interested. No I'm serious now. Like Oh that was her strategy and this only happens about every three weeks. It's crazy Andro what are the questions. Do you have for Calvert before for Nick Bombards Coach Calvert so we talked quite a bit about a lot of the hardships that you've been through but I've seen you have quite a bit of success now so I'm curious what is what is what do you do as your goal like. What's your fun? What is your what do you enjoy doing? Now that you have some time freedom and some financial freedom you'll find this interesting. I am a firm believer and I know Clayton owes us about me that I think you're supposed to give and so right now. My motivation is giving and so one of the one of the things things I'm involved with is my sister and brother in laws charity that they have been in Uganda which I went to in August. Uganda is a talk oh high-class Taco bar been town there. Oh never mind sexually real ministry my bed so we've helped to one hundred twenty five kids get off the streets. That's a real thing though. This is a real tank heroin. Yeah we're done so they're We we are building a school which is impossible. You can't get school built there. We are funding. All these kids. Were trying to double and triple the kids we help. There's these people called the box where people and their pygmy people and they're totally really not taking care of. They don't have shoes clothes anything we've taken over those people. There's all kinds of things that we're doing now to take care of these people and If you're interested in go to only two roads DOT ORG only two roads dot org. It's a tremendous every dime and that's given ghost directly to these kids my brother-in-law's brilliant man. He invented those machines that dig underneath highways. Here we've had on the show and tell tell listeners is names they can go find the show his name is Greg Stone Okay Greg Style and one of the more giving people you'd ever find in the world just sacrifices life. What he does is he does work for people when he comes back to the states to earn enough money to go back to Uganda and then he gives every dime he can to help take care of the people? We have five employees toys now in Uganda that worked with us. It's a town called Kabali and it's just a tremendous thing. The other thing that we're doing that comes from my the loss of my son is we have a farm now with twenty acres. Klay supposed to come out to a day now about this real quick here. I have five kids uh-huh and it's like this weekend. We have cheer thing over here In a cheer thing over there you've been through this and the next week and we have a cheer thing as a reward for doing this. We have more places to go so my weekend. It's like my agenda during the week. Seems calm by comparison of what my weakens. My wife's become a taxi service for the charge of US didn't didn't Aubrey did KNOB. Rehab his own little he had a DJ job the DJ Jami go back to school bash. This weekend we had like Thirty fifteen year olds in the backyard pool. So you have to have the back. It was a great event by the way so now nick you are not yet a coach but you find job managing people so little context. You went to Oral Roberts University. When did you graduate? I graduated May Twenty Nineteen You've worked with me for how long now since June. So how much have you learned about business. And since you've when working with us since June versus your time spent on the AH beautiful campuses at Oral Roberts. That's a great question. Yeah it is. I can't wait for you to answer this. He loaded that question. I WANNA I WANNA know. Hi this is sincere question so I have. I have a bachelor's degree of science in marketing. You know it is a BS degree for a reason. Okay yes yes yes exactly. Yeah so I've learned more from June up until what's it is the thirtieth and September but I've learned more in these past few months than I have in. Yeah then I have four years ago or you some of the things you've learned just firing off some subjects of figured out. Seo Search engine optimization see off the bat management off the bat right there. There's two two things I've learned how to just organize and create a time management scheduled for myself import things that you'd think they would instill in college and Being A. And Marketing you'd think people people say all the time they say clay. How can a coach who's twenty five years old? Teach me. I'm fifty. Now here's here. Here's what I found out one. They don't have to unlearn usually because they had twenty five years of doing it. The wrong way to I used to chart arch. Before I met coach I would routinely charge three to six thousand a month for every client and only ten of them. Because I didn't I didn't have a team it was me I'd sold the company and so my move was this I would meet with a client. Go to their office. Find out what they wanted me to do. I would personally edit all the videos personally to the websites personally personally. Do the flyers personally rattle the content in charge people three to six thousand so I was working with like Maytag Hewlett Packard huge companies. WHO had no problem paying six grant and I kept going to conferences and recognizing that the guy the little guy the average guy the average American person is a small business owner? They don't have they don't have six grand a month. So I'm like I gotta find a way for at that point exactly so I'm like I gotta find a way for like under two thousand was my goal. I came up with that number because I thought if my hire someone for ten dollars an hour after taxes it's like sixteen hundred plus taxes about two thousand a month so I can find a way to do that. I think most small business owners could tell me. If you knew you you can hire guy for ten dollars an hour that would change your life. Would you do it and most of them go. I could find a way but if he could you hire one hundred thousand dollar a year. Coo who doesn't do anything but tells as you want to do. Could you do that no I need to find a way to do the back. End The support and the coaching on a month to month basis. Now that's what we have fresh faces like nick here so nick. What questions agents would you have for coach Calvert any coach? I do want to start by saying man you're adversity and the things that you've been through powerful it's that something and I've actually never heard someone going through and that's it's deep and I respect every bit of that so thank you for being here and let me ask you these questions That's really goal cool. I do want to ask you though. You've you started this in the nineties and obviously you didn't always have klay there to help like coach you up with all of these. So when you're hiring on your first set of team and your your hiring on like your first set of coaches in your your staff that you think is like your team here I go around. What was like your the biggest upset when you realized that that wasn't your eighteen? Well the first thing was I didn't have an employee until two thousand seven and the reason I got an employee was I couldn't walk anymore my left leg working and how it was. That's why I got an employee. Employ was I was in eight years without a wheelchair at that point eight years and most people out there listening so much to take notes. Do you own a job or for a business if you own a business. It's a system that can work without you doing it. I would say that of those people. Those thirty million people we mentioned earlier. WHO START START A company every year? Alright those specific hard number is nine point one percent of our population. The thirty point two million small business owners per year. I see a lot of people where it's like my my name's Ron Manager. Iran's LLC IN TILE LAWNS LLC tile. WHO's Ron I'm Ron Ron? What if we want more of Ron? Can we get more. No because I can do one job at one time and I do the accounting and I do the sales so I do a built themselves a job and no shame even the game. There are a lot of people. Most people coach. Wouldn't you say most people get stuck there. Yes and one of the things that happens is in life you become very insecure and you become very afraid aide in. You're like I can't change your I gotTa keep going and you know and so you're spending ten or twelve hours a day in your in that rat race and you can't get out of it. The difference between a a lot of people in me at that point was I had decided. I didn't want things to stay the same and I started praying. I knew God that I had a great business us. I knew I knew what I was doing. I had a guy one time who had two sons the NBA who was an NBA coach. Tell me I was the best instructor you had ever seen naked. It ever watched instructs. I knew my bill. I knew that part of it was really good. Yeah I knew my business partner was bad and the reason I did because I was chasing checks I was doing everything. Myself Self I think as you bring for me. I was praying for you. Because here's my issue Andrew. You're in the meeting this morning. I think Julia said there was twenty. Five people. Making a mission was twenty people that reached over the weekend for twenty five last week. Yeah last week. twenty-five reached out for help one on one coaching and she said how many of them are good fit. I don't remember the exact number but it was a lot less than twenty five. Two member. Nick was less than ten to remember guys like one or two as one. Yeah Yeah and the reason why is because I'm not interested in helping the team. Now I I try to talk like this on the podcast so maybe not you you the listener you get it but some people don't get it you know so vape shops shop so reach out. All I mean a lot of shops a lot of they built on a hookah. Things lendvai casino gambling. Lot of that fun one. My my favorite one would be the one in Vegas. We had a one of those legal brothels reached out before we've had Viagra pusher. We had a guy who sold testosterone online to anybody. Anybody who wanted it. We've had a lot of various people. Most people that reach out are like Oh man I see the success stories. He helped me. But you don't realize I have purpose purpose and my purpose is to help magnify good people help the good team threat. Which is why we say no to most people? So when coach which was referred to me by a banker I told Vanessa. I'm like this guy and I can. I never lose excitement. I get fired up this this Sky Babe. He's got a back issue. Heard from the banker that he's gone through a lot of personal stuff. He's a Christian guy their scriptures all up in his business this sky. He's my guy he's dude. This is what I get outside. I get it out every single time I got..

"I think that's what we're as a whole not. Just me expecting for twenty twenty and then you know me personally Just continue to be consistent. I just want to continue to you. Know not not lose this game and keep in games and and Be just a rock and a calming consistent influence at the back and I think that helps me grow as a goalkeeper in general. All right well I skipped one thing. I was going to try and hammer you and get you to agree he like Gimme tickets to MLS Cup. If you guys made it. I won't do that to you now. Not On air. I'll do that off air but the the US presidential team experience silence tell us a little bit about it so you you hung up on the on the US team A lot of fans have done the same thing But you got called in. What was it like he was Was it like a dream. Come true Was it just sort of like okay. Well now I know what it's like and you know from here. I want to go further or the ladder. I think it's more of a a step in the direction I would love to go and getting that experience was so valuable for for me I I I really had no idea all into this this camp so I was Kinda home. It was Halloween. Knows you know in Cookie Monster onesie ready. I live in the neighborhood of my school getting ready to get candy and And so I I get the call and and I'm pretty much have to drive up to Boston. Because all my soccer stuff was off there to go up there and Get my stuffing and flight onto Florida and just to be able to have the experience of of Being with the team seeing what You Know The coaching staff expects from their players on and off the field learning the new style his style greg style of play How so you know certain guys on the team cheese and and I think that was just so valuable for me like moving forward and just you know? I don't know this but hopefully I made made a good impression on on the coaching staff and the players like my teammates. That were It was with for I three and those are probably my biggest takeaways and AH obviously you know for next year. I hope I'm involved in. That team is as much as possible and GM playing a role on the team. But I know I still have a ton of work to do you know I. I still like I came so late to soccer. You know how I kind of bench bench that my technical awareness technical abilities behind. I mean you can imagine that even still twenty five minutes lot of room and my Game for improvement so I got a long way to go. You know long way to go still well. You don't think about goalkeeping is you. Don't have to do a lot of running and you don't have to do a lot of like You know real physical exertion so like you could play till you're forty five we'll get like Some of those guys in England. You know you're you're just you're a young buck you got decades of of plane at even for Dell right your your boy Brad he played till Gosh she was forty forty. I think or maybe even more and that's another thing I was so grateful for with with having him as a coach is to be able to learn some of the stuff he did to keep his body from the performance such a high level for so many years you know and and just tally of how he approached every day as a player and as a coach. Those are some things that I really will always value from my talk with him. Nice well Everybody this has been matter letter Matt can't take enough. I've kept you forever so yeah I appreciate Beirne with me. Yeah absolutely absolutely. We'll have you back on. We'll have you back on when when you guys. Are you know tearing shit up in the in the League next season Looking forward to it looking forward to it so really appreciate it in writing hopefully can To be a recurring guest. That'd be great absolutely absolutely the only trait office. MLS List Cup tickets as we're pretty much you know Perfectly able we'll have you back thanks again and Take Care Good luck in this in this offseason. Thanks Take Care Okay we back. That was matt. Turner Great Guy We've been Internet fans friends forever. been meaning you have on the podcast gas for for months so glad to finally get him on now. We will move along to weaken preview so we got a we got to enrich people's minds and And their wallets so they can be pre predictions right that they can absolutely fade and you actually should fade mine We'll start with We'll we'll start with England per usual and will go with the the headliner. The clear headliner. The weekend is Manchester. Watery close close. Close the outskirts. The suburban London Derby that will go with the Go with the Manchester Derby city united city. The city is. I think he's going to turn into a wagon right now. He thinks I I do think so. I do think I'm in the minus. One and a half looks tasty. I think it absolutely does united looked shockingly competent against them like I was. I was promised that we were gonNA play early. This horrible united team. WHO's GonNa come in the bed? And they were GONNA be terrible and they basically played tied him off the field for the first twenty minutes. What the fuck is going on here? Which is UH eight fifty in this game true? The money value the value is there value is the value. Is definitely there there. It's going to it I you can see it breaking either way really. I don't see united better. But that's what happens in these games like I know sitting united always plays city tough off no doubt about that and if they get an early set-piece like Daniel James Hits one or something it's like Oh shit like then you can see the the money going but like this'll be one to watch the live line. Because I give united scores early you can hammer city the win at like like you can get on it early. I don't ought to be an interesting one to watch. It'll be interesting. Yeah I agree with that. I think that I would go like four to city would probably be my aren't gonNA throw the scoreline. There's a lot of injuries. A lot of injuries forced to yeah. I'm going to disagree. I mean cities defense it is is beatable and united's defence is united seafood. I'm thinking through one city but like it's a ridiculous prediction ridiculous but yeah I didn't go right. We'll go over and city. I you know united always play city. Tough they're are GONNA be without Anthony. Marcial believe city's going to be without a raft of players Aguayo and I think obviously Saturday and I dunno debris debris back feel like he gets every single game but I think he's back The you know there's going to be a lot of injuries. That'll that'll that will play into this. Just think that city is rounding into form is the sense I get and I think they're going to be a I think they're going to be a bit of a wagon. You going forward Actually so there we go now we will go to the the destitute vagabond. CRACKHEAD meth doubt homeless homeless friendless. windless London Darby. That is our snow visiting West Ham. Her how do we feel right now. Going into this let's see. How do we feel about arsenal at the moment is it? He's proving appoints. Freddie is he's playing the most popular vocal locker room guys to shut the to shut the fans up. Well not not not on this show fans of I think they're shutting them like he's coming in his first thing is like okay. y'All WanNa play here you go and look at what's happened and I think that now he can. I mean I'm being optimistic mistaken all costs but I think now he can at least look at these guys and beg. Hey by the way it's like you're not playing well like shut the fuck up Moustapha. Offi you're not one of the two best centrebacks in the roster. Please shut the fuck up Oziel like soccer peppy and even reese Nelson should be preferred to right now but you keep running about like and we lost like so even a guy like shock. Willie was bad objectively bad last couple days. But I don't know Oh i. I'm really struggling with how to feel about this team. I'm fixture wiser miserable but I'm just trying to find a way to like you know. Get keep going here because because it really fucking really fucking dark you're looking. You're looking for a silver lining. Yeah I mean the the that first half against Brighton I mean in you know. Listen I love nothing more than I saw your tweet talking shit about Arsenal i. I wanted to talk shit. I I felt so bad watching that game. They were so bad I was just like I. Just don't even feel like talking. Should what are some rates so sad. This week we passed four thousand three hundred days so that is I just want it for a while. Well I guess Audi Cup is just nothing either okay on the other hand end west. Ham's not much better okay. West has been terrible they did come up with a huge literally inexplicable win over Chelsea Chelsea last week. So maybe they're going to go to for to in in Taken down and they actually came back and Spurs Spurs three zero. You you look at the roster is I'd rather have West Ham's wow really you know not not funny scanning and I'm like Felipe Anderson. Well well I guess. Just basically by Anderson Declaration Creswell Fabian. skivvies healthy maybe sleep Anderson Lindsey Declan Rice cresswell's. That's why these are all very very good players hilarious even very good They have an identity. At least you know they they are they are very basic team. I'm wondering what you want to get back to basics. You want to get back to basics you know. They're in fifteenth right now. They're hanging out one point or two points I think ahead of Everton in the zone and your and your yeah I was GonNa say and you want to switch places with them you know. I actually saw a not to go too far off topic but I saw a stat from the the five thirty eight nerds or whatever where it said Arsenal have A. I think it was a five percent chance of getting relegated this season. I just couldn't help but laugh. One in twenty twenty five five thirty eight. You know the New York. Times stance nerd people and Clinton's the president. Yeah it's just fun banter just one banter. Ah Just bantering Mike. You of a five percent chance. I don't do that. Don't do that. I need you here. We we still got a couple of games ago. uh-huh so by the way okay the scoreline for that. If you've gone your head fuck needed One one one. I'm going to go to one arsenal. I was GONNA say that too but I can't like I don't want ought to well if you said it absolutely wouldn't do it so move on your share So I got to a couple of games. A couple upsets to throughout. They're you're going to go with the Waterford over palace. So what foods at home on paper this is not a bad match matchup for WOFFORD. Yes I get. They've been terrible. I think this has been terrible. We'll see Arab been terrible It's not actually real upset. I believe the bookie's have them as the favorites slight favorites over over pal. So it's not a huge upset but it's good money good value. The second one is an absolute upset. I'M GONNA go with Everton in over Chelsea and yeah that's that's really out of field So they they finally got rid of the Anchor Marco Silva. He's he's a good looking handsome awesome acre but he's an Acre right. I'm not sure I just know that. He's a good looking man. I'll give marcus. I mean he's a soccer zacher dude so he's not going to be tall. Let's be honest but I think that he he whatever. He was not not good so I think the team there too. Good to keep playing like as Shitty as they they have been. They didn't look. I mean they did a good against Liverpool. Let's be honest but Liverpool is is You know and it was as liberals be team. We should put that out as well but they did look actually quite good against Leicester which is pretty impressive. So arguably Oy and so I think that I think Everton's GonNa come out of nowhere with the I've been saying this a lot lately because managers are getting fucking bounce left and fried but You know dead cat new new manager about. I don't even know if Everton have either. It's really not but I'm going to Chelsea let's see Do you disagree with you..

"Understand the reliability and reproducibility ability of the methods that is that the foundational validity of the field had not been established. That's right. There's no foundation to the validity of this forensic field because there is there's no sound statistical evidence that firearms have their own unique and reproducible fingerprints and even if there was evidence that guns do indeed leave unique fingerprints. The theory explicitly states that conclusions are subjective in light of the two thousand sixteen councils report. Nicole Bhai distinguished professor of Law David Kay entitled Firearm Mark Evidence Looking Back and looking ahead early courts like really early in the first half of the twentieth century early. I actually didn't allow conclusive. Firearm Identification Testimony Horse allowed evidence comparing bullets to a weapon to be presented to a jury so they could decide but they wouldn't allow oh expert opinions on the subject to be entered into evidence but by the nineteen fifties courts were allowing expert testimony on firearm to market defecation which then wasn't really challenged until the nineteen ninety s it would take another decade or so before courts began limiting the expert testimony related to the certificates technique some course allowed examiners to testify to how many features matched and didn't match and their comparisons other courts allowed testimony the projectiles have been fired from particular weapon. TWAIB labe reasonable degree of certainty but did not allow testimony that there wasn't exact match professor k notes in his article that the courts have put limits and such testimony or unfortunately only quote exceptions to the normal uncritical acceptance of firearm mark testimony so yeah most across the country firearm to market indication evidence is readily admitted and juries eat it up thanks to CSI effect and Tennessee. This evidence has also still admissible in the case Tennessee versus Gerald Davis Thomas a two thousand sixteen appellate case the defendant challenge the state ballistic examiners assertion that he can determine to a reasonable degree three of scientific certainty that keesing collecting evidence had been fired from a specific weapon the defendant relied heavily two thousand eight and two thousand nine National Research Council reports that you mentioned earlier arguing the truck worship of limited the expert testimony but the Court of Criminal Appeal is dismissed the claim holding quote the expert testimony regarding ballistics matches is is permissible another case that same year the Supreme Court of Tennessee also found another defendant relying on the same National Research Council reports had not demonstrated the methodology dodgier science underlying ballistics evidence is unreliable so yeah. Tennessee is pretty broadly pro admission of firearm to market education evidence which is too bad but it also leaves open the possibility of future legal challenges because it greg style. This was the exchange between the prosecutor and forensic scientists Terry Arnie regarding the bullets found the clinic our property pretty were you able to identify those to the nine millimeter weapon. Yes they had all been fired through this nine. Millimeter firearm those exhibits the bullets and the cartridges were all fired that gone that's correct. One of the bullets from the body of the victim was conclusively fired the weapon which is exhibit seventy. That's correct and this is the exchange with regards. The boats founded confirm. Did you perform examination on those bullets on on that. Shell casing to determine if they were fired from the same weapon. Yes ended the murder weapon. Yes the bullets had all elven fire into the barrel this pistol. The fired cartridge case have been fired by this pistol. The investigators were ultimately successful in matching bullets and casings found booth at the clinic property inherent farms the tech nine. There were still struggling with something kind of major. They've been trying to figure out if greg lands could have access access detect nine from the national guard armory long before any weapon was found in Manhattan's farm when they checked a week after the murders of the National Guard regret was assigns they we're told that a thorough inventory of guns been done and that nothing was missing furthermore. Greg's officer-in-charge Jackie King stated that Greg had never been seen with a weapon at the armory or asked to be lent one July of that year was the last time they had drilled into gun range and it just so happened to greg admits duty that day and as for the tech nine they couldn't connect naked gun too greg. They felt what every lead possible to track with a gun could have ended up after being shepherds auto sales but try as they might became empty as was duly noted in one of the arson investigator investigator Philip Gentry's reports which read we used Ats Canine and looking bullets on a rural farm in an adjoining county. These bullets matched ones from the murder a weapon. We feel we have exhausted. All leads miss case to match them are weapon to the suspect soon but you may recall gun didn't stand alone. The murder weapon itself was rigged in while a pretty unique way about a two foot length of green nylon rope the kind you can easily find at Walmart or home depot or maybe even the dollar store was immediately tied onto the rusty heat shield that wrapped the barrel of the gun up towards the front of the gun by the muzzle. The other end of the rope was loosened frayed and that was the end that Bohannon tied the gun to his fence with strapped. The top of the gun was an ordinary small black flashlight with black duct tape wrapped around in two places holding it secured the barrel of the weapon. It was not in any way shape or form a fancy set up. It was a cheap homemade modification to turn the gun into a weapon that could be used in the dark mark and it explained how the killer could have crept in on Victor and Allah without turning on any lights yet shot them with some precision and the rope while maybe that made it easier easier for the killer to carry the heavy bulky weapons into the victim's home whatever the utility these lowbrow additions may have had in the Clutch Nakao murderers. They certainly came came in handy for the investigators. That's because they realized tracing the murder weapon back to Greg was an impossible task but tracing the rope and the flashlight back to him proved to be much easier next time on undisclosed Greg lands has been in prison since nineteen ninety nine if you'd like to drop him a note of support or card or anything to let him know that.

"Now his mentality is usually more score in attack, and, and Greg style. But then also, I think he's an elite work ethic and we saw his jump shot this year, only thirty point eight percent from three on two hundred thirty seven attempts, but I think he's an elite worker, and I think it's, it's an area that he's going to continue to grow. I know he made some adjustments to shot mechanics during the pre-draft process in a scene, so some success on it. So those are the strikes in terms of the weaknesses. It's really the consistency is a long range shooter as I mentioned, then the lack of wiggle off the dribble. I think that's certainly an area that he could he could improve on. But I think you could make a case that RJ Barrett is NB, ready NBA, ready as any guy in this draft. And you know, I it's I Williamson doesn't win rookie of the year. I think you probably make a case. It RJ bear. It would be right there to be hundred percent. Honest with you. I think RJ Barrett is probably the most NBA, ready guy in the draft. When I look at this top ten he's the only dog. I see. He's the only guy that I think you look at him and you go, this guy could change a culture and you know what the Knicks need they need to change in culture. This could be a situation where the Knicks could end up. They wanted Zion. They one of the number one overall pick, but RJ bear to New York could be the best fit for him because they need a culture change and RJ bear. Could be that lead dog to step in there. With the third overall pig? Just Jason Tatum was the Boston Celtics. He wasn't the first or second pick, but he was the right fit for that organization hundred percent agree. I mean if you're a knick fan, you're maybe upset that you didn't win this. I on Williamson's. We've stakes but getting RJ Barrett at three, I think, is a big deal. And as you know, we've discussed before this is a pretty top heavy draft and those three prospects in my. Mind are clear head and shoulders above the rest. So if you're next fan, you gotta be pretty happy that you've got J air headed your way. Oh, you got to be likely like I said, I, I can't think of enough great things to say about this kid from everything that I've heard and seen from him. He's going to be fantastic at the next level. Now let's move on. Number four prospect, the guy that you just interviewed in the first half of this podcast, dairies garland. Yeah. No Darius is in you guys just heard him. And he's. You know, he's one of the kids on this list that I've been fortunate enough to be around quite a bit. And what an awesome kid actually, let me rephrase that three to one young. Fortunately, the world didn't get to see much dairy garland during this collegiate season play just five games at Vanderbilt I know his game. Well, I've been watching him forever. I went to Vanderbilt pro day in the preseason where he actually didn't shoot the ball. Well, but I thought he was absolutely tremendous in front of just about every NBA team as I mentioned, he played just five games, but the numbers he put up in those five games extremely impressive over sixteen points. Game nearly four rebounds and nearly three assists in forty seven point eight clip from three on twenty three attempts. I think when you're talking about strengths with eareas Garlan, one of the first ones would be shooting ability in his potential as shooter. Not only from three but also from mid range, I think he plays with great pace. He's got tremendous touch on his runners and floaters kid that has developed a middle game and can get to that area. And I just think he fits the NBA in the way, the point guard position has gone in the NBA, which areas and I touched on earlier and what I mean by that is just his blend of of being able to score from the position. But also create decision make play in pick and rolls. I think he his game really fits nicely in the NBA in terms of weaknesses, he's gonna have to get stronger..

"And when you've got Clinton on the schedule we've got the team that they have to play that's gonna he has Alabama Georgia and Clemson in the top three teams in the country on this year. Exactly, it's not really fair. You know, if he's not great the other guy. I I'm not gonna play a hot tea terms of getting fired. But in terms of just guy who's got to win and win big. Now Ryan day. He's he's coming into a situation. We'll how state could it be the best team the big ten again and the expectations are there that if you're at Ohio State, no matter who you are. It's college football playoff. Or bus is Lincoln Riley is shown you can step into a legend and almost take the program to another level, which definitely a whole lot. But it's Ohio State. They've got all the NFL talent in the world. And you can't lose to Michigan. So all that pressure on his shoulders. It you cannot do anything wrong about the way. You just you just gave me the next question. I if Ryan day polls that one now what about Jim Harbaugh? My comic Jim Harbaugh on a hot seat in terms of getting fired. What else are you gonna do? I mean, he's well pay. Let me let me move movie down the field. I believe this is his fifth year. Is that correct? Let's say he loses to all house. He he would be Owen five to Ohio State. So who who are you going to get that can do better I can do better than I can do equal to Owen five equal? But the thing is. I don't know why I've been an apologist maybe because if you look at the gains, maybe because Michigan is just irrelevant. I haven't they wanna half a national championship in seventy years. So why expect them to do anything up there? Or maybe you'll Hayek states gets been one of the elite program. Maybe you're just crack crack in your head against the wall year after year kind of like get the teams have to do it Alabama Carnegie's DT's after Clemson right now. And you've got a house states. It's just maybe just Bennett an another level. They just can't get over that hump now to be fair. Michigan state was able to do it. Then state was able to do it and get to a big win a big ten championship. So you're right. If you're Harbaugh get get there any it get completely blown off now. But they were there. They had the puck on their stick with a chance to beat. Oh, how state and they would have beat northwestern, and they would have been the college football playoff. But that's it coffee's for closers in your right is daily do it yet. But you had the program wait there, and it has to be the year. They've got this. Quarterback in shape. Patterson? He knows the system they're going to speed things up a little bit. You're gonna go more to a high octane passing attack. They got the receivers that defense is going to be when the best in the country. Now, he's got to do the job done, Greg style. Paid thanks for dropping. And I hope you'll come back saying, please any type I would deal with PT tuck fantastic conversation with him. We'll get your reaction to that more. He has to come. We are taking your phone calls next on this. Winston to listening to the Paul finebaum show podcast. I can't believe it. That Philip brought his little brother on our mission into orbit. How long until it?.

"Mark make the right choice. And know what's below the two and a nice job waiting two points on battle on meet doin mortgage been able to do some good. Thank you can't forget about the best player on the court for Wichita state mcduffie, averaging eighteen points. This season is now four or five from the got ten points early in this. And he's going to the line shoots him more. And he knocks that were down. He's got his eleven point of the ball game. And he has a chance to raise the lead. Dow. Full voice. And does exactly that. And now he could make it eleven. As he was fouled the act of shooting three by Justin Smith who picked up his first foul. Second one all the way. Thirteen points now in Indiana suffering its largest deficit against any of the teams leave. In IT, thus far twenty four thirteen is the scoring eleven point advantage for Wichita state and the hoosiers can't afford to be in this kind of a drought against this team. This morning. Gone looks down low to Ron Davis is back in just the devante. He lost the handle pulls it back outside. Tricks to a right stops inside forces up shot this one bashes. Devante grades war. One thousand four hundred fifty. State. Leads Burton brings it up across the time line. The dribble works to the left down into the lane. This in nobody came over to help Burton picks up his first basket of the game. We're back to what twenty six fifteen eleven quarterback. Now, Indiana's rob Betsy with the basketball works one dribble. Gives it up to Dow jobs it outside of the box with the ball between the circles comes left with the pastor. Rob. Venezia now. Worship to the right side into the lane. He goes tried to force it up. It's blocked away by Dennis who went out of bounds. It or blog. Indiana was seven on the shot clock. Little hesitation move. I like to move by rob a little undersized getting into the paint got to create more contact. They're trying to draw foul. Nice defense there which state. Rob will inbound he it into the Rod Davis who feeds it out to Jon Morgan. He works on Dennis down low. He tried to put it up and there's a foul call. Nope. Touch last by Dennis out of Bazan. There's two on the shot clock second collection by Dennis. He's a although only a freshman who's a very strong physical freshman averaging about eight points per game for this Wichita state team. He's come up begging here. The last two tries for the hoosiers will inbounds you've got to give it to somebody could shoot it. And he gets it into July two ways they missed him and gets his point, Greg. Styles down to nine twenty six to seventeen Joe up the burden on the left wing. He feeds by Duffy. He pulls up MRs airborne welcomes into the hands of fantasy brings it down the floor. Rob gives the Doron Davis. Looks at inside a Jew born. He works puts it up a little. Roy moore. Now Indiana's fans there. Here is a drive-by burden down the baseline throws up a quarter and a half hangs jobs. He dumps it into border guard is back in the game and a traveling violation. So that'll be over number five for Wichita straight. Indiana has six but in the end to get the ball back things like that happen when this gets into the game. It starts getting really loud the energy picks up. And then all of a sudden a guy from Wichita state catch the ball. Aw. Madam turns in Blake. Points. All of a sudden this back into the game was only down by seven mid guard heads to the sideline back in. Forebear Chandler that Indiana wall the hands rob benefits. Right side, drives the baseline. Tried to put up a shot blocked away. There was no place to go about. I don't know why tried to shoot it. Now. Hanes Jones out he penetrates into the lane throws up a shot. No Doron Davis comes away with the rebound. Back comes in the end. They push it here. Citizen driving down low. He tried to get it inside a Java. They call. I'll call we'll be May Day Dexter Dennis. That'll be his first the same way by rob has the last possession except this time he used as body contact. I before he went up for that layout be aggressive going to the basket, go north and south forces officials to blow the whistle. Nice move there by rob. And he is he is limping up there. I don't know what he did. But. Testing that. Now, he goes to the free throw line looking for his first points the ballgame bit ac- fires the first this first part of the night sixty five percent growth shoot around the season. Rob will try to work this out with that still kind of stretches out there. Every once in awhile fires up number two. This is I watched the contest. Has got its own one going now. Six twenty one. The ball game comes Eric Stevenson who went down earlier we're gonna injury. He's back out there now burdens sits down. And. Fall where the ball comes age five. Oh, five left here in the first half Indiana's down just five they were down eleven earlier. Now, here's a of slipped out of the hands. He drives into the lane blocked away. Again. I'll tell you what Indiana's gotta stop trying to go inside. Against two or three big guys. I don't know why they can't just pull up and hit a ten footer. Nice little dribble down to your point. That's one on four there eventually which states hustling back able to get the block from behind. And these guards have got to be able to understand that they're drawing the defense down to your point. If maybe a ten footer or draw the defense and kick out to interact teammate. Here's inside a Jon Morgan. The left hand couldn't get the role. Rebound comes off the champs he pitches away to Stevenson. It. Back cubs toss straight Stephen some of the ball slides it to the right hand with the hands of Hanes Jones. Canes Jones directs a little verbal traffic out there, then rebels into the top pulls out the Stevenson for a three try he hits it and Eric Stevenson comes up with his first three pointer is one of the ball game. Right back up. The league goes to a twenty nine twenty one. Four twenty three left in the half. Here is the green ghost Jon Morgan top of the cage Awan fakes the hand off and drives down low against Dennis takes it into the grabs will push shots. No, go to the rebound. Tipped away may die Ford on the floor. And what do we got out of bounds? It goes. What's the cost of putting the basketball while he was on the the sideline they're both guys? Go for the basketball yet credits, ROY Moore in great hustle. But as he dove continued to slide out towards that sideline. Cuts the ball while cutting the Alabama. Come away. By four minutes left in this first half got to do something back into this game. Here's Hades jobs up for Wichita straight. He gives left side to Dexter Bennett. He pitches it out the champion champion top of the key back left sided mcduffie for three. And it's short and the rebound. Devante. Great breaks it up variety. You takes it gives an opt-out Durham, he dumps it inside a Joon mortar Morgan. Mcduffie down. Low turns around feeds. Davis lost the handle got it back and. Ron davis. I parts of the ball game. Fortunately, he stayed weather. Twenty nine point three and Indiana's lead or rather there? Down to six now page go to the ball. Takes the top. Is it back out? Stevenson takes it for the right of the circle down on the corner to my Duffy for three dry. He hits. Guppies spent red hot here on the first half. He's got sixteen points his third three of the ball game. And it's thirty two to twenty three and mcduffie has not been able to stop by anybody out there defensively near as. Because Davis Davis holds turns around yesterday Monte green. He takes it into the lane forces upper shot wouldn't go. But he does draw the foul. And a foul is whistled Salonge. Hanes jones. The second of this. We have time out on the floor to fifty to go here on the first half. And right now, it's Wichita state leading thirty to twenty three on the cephlon. Deanna Honda dealer's scoreboard..
