"The number talking about the the election results from last night and what if anything they portend for twenty twenty what if any take aways president trump in particular should have from the race for governor in Kentucky in particular and not just there not just there but also receive this text of this morning from a friend of mine up Pennsylvania way Chester County Pennsylvania suburban Philly complete suite for the Democrats for the first time ever my cousin or to polls to support local candidate she was supporting said it was anti trump huge turnout blind rage against from now that's anecdotal and we have some countervailing data included from The New York Times of all places such that says so concerned about the data from the New York times pulling this week Jonathan shade writing in New York magazine new poll shows Democrat candidates have been living in a fantasy world because the poll finds that in battleground states despite the brutalization that from faces on a daily basis and has for the last four years versus candidate then president these are pretty strong position particularly guess Elizabeth Warren but even against Joe Biden who would barely a glove has been laid on really yeah I mean not in comparison to the kind of pounding from takes basically in a statistical dead heat in the then in the half a dozen key battleground states pretty good position for a guy that the Democrats are wishing against a star wishing on a star really wishing against the star tell in actual it is that can be removed from office so I'm I and I want to make it clear I'm not running around with my hair on fire here but I go back to Matt Bevin smart guy quality guy good governor good policy agenda did his damndest to implement it as governor but his style turned off enough voters and engendered enough antagonism that he was the one Republican on the statewide ballot statewide the slate that lost and is that a lesson to be taken away Leon Cooperman the billionaire hedge fund manager click play from him on CNBC before the break supporter of the Reagan asked economic policies that trump has pursued and the results that they've produced but basically said you know he's gotta stop punching down that's my distillation of what he said he used the example Reagan when he was parity by Joe Piscopo once said I live call Jeb bush coupon so let's have a drink trump by contrast your tweets at Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep and says they have no talent in nationals rating stock and if you could just hold back on some of the punching down that you don't need to do it would pay real dividends that's not to say he should impersonate W. I'm not this is not Jenny flexing before the beltway conventional wisdom of of you appearing of presenting us presidential it's saying have more moments of joy have more moments that are political don't punch down and every critic that by definition are beneath you thus the punching down have a moment like you have this week with the Washington nationals at the White House joy enjoying and celebrating somebody else's accomplishment nice moments with the Strasbourg and simmer men and Suzuki and let the critics show you how small they are let them show you how small they are just worry about what you're supposed to do don't worry about their pettiness because you will look better by comparison is that a lesson to be learned from seven's Los at the hands of I think probably a lot of voters who agree with them but found him stylistically problematic and you can say all day that's not the way voters should vote and I'm telling you there's always a slice of the electorate that is going to vote on that basis she well in in Louisville Kentucky your own Dennis Prager show hello thank you so much for having me on your show today a pleasure thank you yes so we moved to Kentucky about fourteen years ago and so we were not teach in Kentucky policies and everything that goes back we met governor back in like you said a wonderful stand up guy I agree with you that he did not handle some of these things well and he did alienate a lot of teachers and some of my strong Christian friends who are teachers chose not to vote for him because of that and that was very disheartening and and as soon as I could to stop it for people outside Kentucky when follies it was it wasn't even necessarily the policies the idea we have to do something about these public sector pension liabilities it was the rhetorical approach right correct and more could have been done to share with the teachers gently and compassionately that Greg Stumbo the gentleman who was just beat out handedly by Daniel Cameron that he was one of the ones that drains the pension fund so it was a Democrat set set not backing up to do what he had to do so he was helping the teachers but he didn't do it in a very timely an amicable way excellent thanks so much for the night all I'm sorry sorry about that I didn't mean to cut you off a special gift giving your Louisville Kentucky perspective let's go to Joshua in Portland Michigan yes hello hi how are you I was curious if you think Hillary Clinton is gonna floor hat into the race or not I've been here and weird rumors in hand and would become the whole area if the DNC just gave a terror at the last minute even though everybody was brown and kind of like what happened to Bernie Sanders well yeah yeah thanks for the call Josh that would be a godsend if I she got in the race I think I think you know there was this moment at Georgetown University last week where Hillary and bill and with better Ginsburg or having a little confab in bill said you know I I don't know if Hilary's gonna run for anything again or not so leaving the door open as she continues to leave the door open the belief is that they're sort of behind Elizabeth Warren but I think they're only behind Elizabeth Warren so long as it's clear that she's viable and the bus the print the the pronouncements from pollution Democrats this week about the need to win you have to be able to win the electoral college what are some of these people thinking Nancy Pelosi said as Elizabeth Warren self immolate over her Medicare for all plan I think there's a strong desire for Hillary to get in I have a strong desire for Hillary to get in for different reasons I ultimately think that the the the field is what it is and that's why trump even despite some of his communication challenges that his approach that's off putting to some that's why he's in a strong position per that New York times polling I just referenced damn proft sitting in for Dennis Prager on this edition of the Dennis Prager show the Dennis Prager show live from the relief factor pain free studio right now when you come in and switch to T. mobile you get the amazing iPhone eleven pro on us iPhone tennis traded aren't these mountains majestic joke are you even looking I'm posting these amazing pics I took with my iPhone Levin pro it has three cameras whoa those picks are amazing and you have service to T. mobile their new single goes farther than ever before then you can look up whether these are.

"From the heart of the Carolinas challenging the smog misinformed there against the left the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant it's just that they know so much that is and so is the Vince Coakley radio program broadcast I have in front of me as well in fact this just came up on the feed a German I've gotten to know don't necessarily agree with all of his ideas usually posted on social media asked our Matt Bevin lost in Kentucky by insulting his employers since and being the embodiment of the characteristic tea party conservatives worked against in the Democratic Party candidates know it all ram it down your throat with personal insults the sound familiar folks we and his team for gods we the people consent to be governed I've said for years were replacing god with government in this will not work you cannot legislate morality this is a Republican speaking in this guy's not a liberal Republican either yeah I've known for years and he clearly saw some issues and problems here Hey folks we've got to look at ourselves this what we gotta do we've got to do some honest self assessment end of our candidates as well which it can't just be a rah rah you know our candidates going to win yeah yeah yeah you know it's it doesn't work that way you may have a very strong conviction about someone here's just a sampling of some of the comments before and after the election my friend Russ just voted Matt Bevin if you don't want to Kentucky Clinton's you have two and a half hours to do so this was yesterday evening he was referring to the bush years which I don't need to tell you about I think it's a ND Bashir I think is the son of a former governor this family is just corrupt they are corrupt to the core but this is what they've just chosen it liberally this is what they've chosen and get tacky also we have this from Hana Republicans lost the governor's race I wonder how many of us are going to run screaming and crying in the streets throw trash everywhere protests in death threats on social media to the other party my guess is way less than the Democrats do when they don't wind yeah that's probably true hi share with your bright spot from last night and I don't know if I told you this the gentleman you heard Daniel Cameron elected Kentucky's next Attorney General the first African American to ever win a weight race for the office of Attorney General first Republican do so in over seventy years guys only thirty three years old one fifty seven percent of the vote as I told you he got more votes than Matt Bevin did he beat out Greg Stumbo former speaker of the house who is attempting a comeback and your great Stumbo those not familiar is a I guess you can describe him as a very AT seasoned politician been there for years took about right away he's replacing and to be sheer who apparently is going to become the governor the one thing that I'm concerned about one of his jobs former general counsel for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell I know this is going to cause your stomach to turn that's the only thing that causes me concern this is Mitch is guy now I'm going to be watching to see how conservative he is he sounds conservative let's see if he carries out his office as a genuine conservative and is not just a campaign type we've had enough of this campaign service so I think we've covered this pretty well we should also tell you though a source close to the White House is expressing some concern that the elections yesterday evening are bad omen for impeachment there's a little bit of concern in the White House should be interesting here with the present self has to say today but I would love to get your comments your responses let's go first to Stephen Charlotte good morning Steve good morning thank you for taking my call yes Sir to watch the election returns last night and people around me that works out of you concerned about it and I'm a conservative god out was I like the tea party I DO but it does appear that Mister Bevin did not handle himself in a way that he would win Rubel from people in Kentucky but there's a couple of months of circumstances and forgive me if you've already said the Bashir is the son of the governor not last governor but the one before who was very popular served for eight years and as a matter of fact Kentucky since nineteen seventy one they said ten governor's aid have been Democrats sure lest we think that this is some kind of a backlash not totally sure that's the case I think you got a Republican that women and maybe he did some things and said some things that were completely out of place I oppose the media but you know what there's also a time where if you make rulings and you promote legislation there are sometimes people just ogle like you because you're getting in there man yeah our daughter was soon that Kentucky is not really a red state all those everybody that one in Kentucky last thought was Republican evil here's the thing and this one of the points that I mentioned the Attorney General candidate you gotta remember he guides tens of thousands more votes than Matt Bevin that's what you have to remember so the votes were out there to get but for whatever reason he did not get them and that's where it was a candid and and speaking as a former can it myself that's were also really you've got to claim responsibility it's all on you let's go out to Jasper in Gastonia good morning Jasper hi Sir arms for the property should resolve that you can't legislate morality well how big the deferred we legislate morality every day and every legislature every city council the things they do athletes absolutely promote one morality or another but what you can't legislate is virtually and the birds the desire to do what is right or wrong but the thing is you can change it and when you strip the Conyers first a teacher is in the schools but when you're young because that's when the heart is valuable enable except says yeah absolutely right and and you that's a really important distinction is important to have the character and the the virtue that you described this is one of the characteristics the founding fathers repeatedly talked about how important it is to have these character qualities to be able to maintain our constitutional system because if without these things you know we are ultimately doomed over on the tax line some interesting comments year thanks very much for your call their Jasper this dexter says Allen never Spartanburg stupid Kentucky libertarians just shot themselves in the foot and they're laughing hysterically go figure yeah this is all funny this person these Kentucky libertarians are so utterly stupid hypocritical in the election his approach to governing is closer to what they claim to be about liberty the Republican or Democrat whatever Matt Bevans faults maybe how delicious with their tears be when they see liberty shrinking and big government growing rather unfortunate events can you not be a never Trumper for just one week how would what did I say about Donald Trump what in the world this person have you already been hitting the bong this morning I don't know if it's the bomb or the bottle which one is it I mean I'm serious I mean it it's funny to me the the people who are so sensitive hi you know it mixed in with the orange Kool aid of course got it through the orange Kool aid in there sometimes I really wonder coming up a story that was thrown out by one of the networks and boy they've got a on their face and this one one of the reasons why so many people don't trust the media that story coming up this is the Vince Coakley radio program enter column supports the Travis Manion foundation in their mission to help veterans and families of the fallen my name is Max line Warner join the navy two thousand ten active duty mechanic transition into the Air National Guard and I am a character does matter mentor with the Travis Manion foundation recently getting out of the military I kind of miss that brotherhood and camaraderie little bit and that's kind of how I found the Travis Manion foundation I was looking for an organization that was not only of involved giving back to community I have the.

Daniel Cameron was eligible to run it as Attorney General because he claims that he had not been in practice. for eight years I guess the Kentucky constitution. is such that you have to you have to be involved in law for eight years. well apparently on election day he will have been in it he will have had his lot law license more than eight years he's only here at thirty two thirty three very young. and so Greg Stumbo always trying to them disqualified on a technicality. well the lawsuit is coming from a Nashville lawyer and some dude here in local but I I guarantee you but I can't guarantee you but I just I smell a stumble rat tally guy operates. he's old school good Ole boy B.. now back woods network type politics that's that's what's going on here I do what I think is going on here there's no concern over him being so young even despite it being a technicality that he did has the service in the Senate majorities office for like the last several years. he's he's been he's been the chief counsel for McConnell you think you think the most powerful senator in the country would hire somebody didn't know what they were doing to be their chief counsel. the dunes the dude highly qualified like I'm I'm not even a big of fan image McConnell but I'm a big fan of Daniel cameras I met him and I think I've talked to him before he I am I knew him before he ran for office. I don't like that guy is a sharp all some guys good person is now yes ma'am I don't think so I think he's got his own thought processes in his own beliefs and I think they line up pretty much with. I think that's what a lot of people think though what that he's too young or that he's a yes man for me yeah yes ma'am. what what is Mitch have to do with the state Attorney General. well obviously would be in this position if it wasn't for the well I you could say you could say but that that happens all the time in politics. that's what that politics is like okay you work for this guy he gives you a recommendation if you were of pine for college and you would work then senator McConnell's office do you think for a second you wouldn't have asked for a recommendation letter. right. anyway they're trying to disqualify him on this end actually from what I understand and I read the article in the current journal actually is pretty fair the the opponents of Ben Chandler who is a Democrat tried the same thing when he ran for a two Attorney General. abi is I think he'd been state auditor for four of the eight years that he has dropped his license and a judge threw the case out said look. now he's fine so that precedence already been set and it was the same thank you to all you know do well he hasn't actually specifically practice law we're all in our time well actually that is he's he's had his bar license he's good to go. so I don't think anything's gonna come of it but I'm just telling you this is this is the way they operate this is old school. you know back door politics this is this is good Ole boy network staff Stumbo is the past man. is the past there's just that that's not Kentucky's future it really isn't I know it's not because he's a Democrat I don't care about the polyp political affiliation so much as I do is just old school man that's not how we do things we shouldn't do things that way so get that nineteen seventies hair cut with the part down the middle it's all feathered has side. we got I keep expecting him to show up at campaign events in a station wagon with wood sides that would be perfect. some like Rockford files stuff right yeah nice hairdo dude I will continue news radio a forty WHAS..

"Structure in that we've seen what you'll do what what break stumble do if he's in the attorney general's office and I'll just note I mean I mention this the last time around I think if you're running for the chief law enforcement officer that working with the state and federal partners Greg Stumbo offered legislation in twenty thirteen that would have given illegal immigrants driver's licenses and then when I told our federal law enforcement community that you cannot enforce immigration law I think in many ways you forfeit your responsibility for your opportunity to be the Attorney General with that sort of thinking so I I don't think he's the right person for the job and I think I am and I hope they will make that judgment as well I only got a couple minutes here but let's say real quick scenario let's say you get elected your Attorney General let's say president camallo Heris our president Joe Biden or president Elizabeth Warren issues an executive order and and and maybe even get flood legislation passed by the legislature to ban assault weapons how would you react in the state would you would you challenge that constitutionally well you know we've got a strong second amendment culture here in the Commonwealth and I would certainly stand up our second amendment rights I can envision anyone of those individuals being president I hear out out of the mainstream I think they have gone so far left that it makes it you know it'll get it I think it be difficult for them to get to the White House but in the case that they did we are going to be ready standing firm here in Kentucky to protect the rights of Kentucky and then protect the values of conducting so we will stand up and fight for the second member right here Daniel camera thanks for replying I get back to me so quickly I appreciate your time and we appreciate you coming on we'll talk again okay thank you my friend topic all right Daniel camera not running for Attorney General by the way stumbles welcome come on Joe Germain he can also anytime you want to just so I have a feeling of go the way of John Yarmouth though I just have a feeling that that's gonna what's the matter there Kermit Marvin the Martian I will get did you I'm willing calmly newsradio eight forty WHAS getting close to lunch time and it's time to do lunch local if you haven't for awhile had a lots of pasta in the heart of St Matt these if you get those sandwiches at the national chains they're fine and they they do the trick but lots of pasta makes the bread homemade and then they have the Turkey and the hand that they bake in house and they make the sandwich right in front of me that I say homemade home made lots of pasta local you will love it every day there are three different things at the soup counter sometimes it's a stew sometimes Chile or soup and there's always something for a vegetarian so pick out your bread take out your meat pick out your cheese my wife brought home my favorite salad several pasta salads my favorite is the chicken chipotle pasta salad creamy not too spicy sun dried tomatoes cubes of mozzarella that she eats and grilled chicken it is awesome so much to choose from at lots of pasta and then a delicious food.
