"Paris masters were imminent so he showed up in paris and tennis. Tv atp tour their social media they were just carrying on as if nothing was amiss. Nothing was going on. Oh here's alex. He's he's practicing. Oh wonderful joy. The paris masters are happening. And he's one of our favorites. The tournament starts. He's asked about it impress. He gives blanket denials. He issued a statement on instagram on october. Twenty ninth where he says. The last days were quite challenging for me. I will be a father at age. Twenty three and i'm very much looking forward to the child. Even though brenda and i are no longer together we have a good relationship. And i will live up to my responsibility as a father together. We will take care of the little person that is about to grow. But i don't want to say more in public about this private subject. I am sure that brenda. I can manage without the media involved. The statement had two paragraphs that was the first paragraph addressing. The first big news because remember these both came out on the same day and then the second paragraph begins then they're the unfounded accusations of my ex girlfriend olga shirt povo which i read in the media today. They make me very sad. We have known each other since we were. Children showed many experiences together. I very much regret that. She makes such statements because the accusations are simply not true. We had a relationship but it ended a longtime ago. Why olga is making these accusations now. i just don't know. I really hope that the two of us will find a way to deal with each other again in a reasonable and respectful way. Frank there a lot of things in this statement along that. Just piss you off the first being contradicting brenda immediately. The mother of his child is unborn child because she said explicitly. I do not want have anything to do with alexander's verve and do not want him raising this child period. She said they are currently not in contact. And she doesn't plan to share custody so when he says we have a good relationship got his well questionable. But that's a private matter right. Like actually in front of rancho yet right there pregnancy. Whatever is not really something that i feel the need to comment on. This is what you choose to do in your private life. Whereas escalates is where someone is being allegedly abused he says of sharapova. We had a relationship but it ended a long time ago a year ago. Is i get that. Maybe when you're twenty three a year feels like a long time but that is not a long time ago you had a whole ask girlfriend and had a baby since then or yeah. The thing that sticks out for me here is that. This is a poorly crafted pr message. I wanna know who you know. Who and his management team approved this if anyone he doesn't display any sensitivity to victims of domestic violence. No he doesn't. I mean in his effort to completely reject those claims. He comes off as extremely callous. Because one could easily say. I condemn acts of violence against women period instead of saying than there are the unfounded accusations. Then there are the serious accusations letting folks know letting your fans no of which you have many many fans that you take this seriously. Domestic violence is a serious issue. That was just the start. We then get a series of statements where he is dealing with this in a very glib cavalier way almost laughing at though the situation yes so it does get much worse than paris. He said to the media quote. I know that there's going to be a lot of people that right. Now we're trying to wipe the smile off my face under this mask. I'm smiling brightly. I feel incredible on court. Everything is great in my life. The people who are trying keep trying now. This statement has gone far past oblivious. Nece into defiance or you just read. Were his statements on court. After the final in paris he made the final losing to daniil medvedev he then impress followed up by saying there's always going to be people who are going to try to put you down when you are in top and it's up to me if i'm going to let that happen and i feel like i'm doing quite a good job of not letting that happen am still enjoying myself through this. There are a few chuckles as long as you still have a smile at the end of the day. I think that's the most important in life. This is quite frankly. If alexander zverev is guilty straight out of the weinstein playbook straight out of the playbook of so many men who have perpetrated domestic or sexual violence against women over the years and they can count on their status and their privilege of being a man and their privilege of being believed by default to prop them up. He's saying essentially all have to do is stay on top and i'll be fine because i am impregnable. Up here you can say whatever you want there but i am alexander zverev and as long as i am who i am i will be fine a dare. I say this is a trump response it is. I mean it's damn near sociopathic because it displays absolutely no sensitivity to the issue of domestic violence. It paints him as the main character in his story as anyone who is making allegations against him are simply haters who are trying to drag him down these very serious allegations from someone you were intimate with whom you were friends with from when you were tweens you purported to care a lot about and so if these allegations are false this is not the statement that you give no if the if i were accused of these things in his position especially if i were innocent i'd be making much more sensitive comments. I taking much more seriously. And also if i were in his position of having throngs of fans around the world a lot of them young woman. I'd be taking great care to let them know that. I take this issue very seriously but this this as it turns out is all about him. An incredible level of narcissism and. These statements are simply brush offs during that tournament. We saw a couple of really atrocious social media postings from tennis outlets it put them in a very weird position because normally there would be a barrage of social media posts for the players. Who are doing wellness tournaments. Sasha may the final and the paris masters. You're going to see tons of tweets and instagram posts about hyping. The final and you saw remarkably fewer or the day of the masters final. There was very really very little talk about it on twitter at the start of the tournament. It seemed like those who are in charge of the socials weren't really grasping what was going on or not really caring because there were still doing that stuff but after a couple of days we saw a lot less but they were wiling in those first. Few days after sasha's win over film that all in paris tennis channel tweeted how many players can say they've just secured their second straight win over roughing it at all. not many. But alex vera of certainly can after today's semifinal like a. Okay do you. Have you heard about what's going on here. Do you feel the need to promote this person at this. Very moment after his opening round match against katzman of which in paris tennis dot com tweeted amidst domestic abuse allegations and finding out. He will be a father very soon. At alex's verve is remaining calm and composed on the court the world number seven needed just fifty five minutes to dismiss kids monitor which expires masters now in that tweet. Their conflicting impending fatherhood and being accused of domestic violence as one in the same hardship as essentially rites of passage. That young men need to go through in order to grow up in a real boy and that is concretize by this little video segment on prime video. I believe they cover the tour in the uk. A little wrong table video thing where daniela hantuchova was there. Greg rusedski was there to his credit. He remained silent maybe not to his credit because he could have said something to like disrupt utter garbage that was on display. There was another gentleman. There i don't. I'm not familiar with him. But you know what they said. Hunter cova said quote given everything. That's happened in his personal life. He deserves even more credit to be able to play like this. And then the gentleman the unidentified gentlemen falls up by saying because perhaps he's being forced to grow up we often say out of adversity comes good things..

"Can say in my career. I never got there but I had a shot. Let's move into our fourth set. We call this the ten wall scramble that we do not do a deep dive. I just say something and you say what comes into your mind one word or to any man you can do. Whatever you want favorite tournament I would say. Women most disliked tournament Anywhere I lost first round on clay favorite court. Oh that's a tough one. So many great courts. Can I do by by five points the Centre Court Wimbledon? What else give me another one? Indian Wells Center court. Us Open Center court. Those are probably the three great players like the great big courts Lake Court like Hamburg and spitting rain on the outside court freezing cold now. It's nice because it's warm out was just just nasty claim that event big entourages or lean and mean linen main. Y Too many too. Many ships Iraq. The cooks in the suit exactly. But you know we talk about on. This brings me up to kind of an interesting story with dominant team this year. And he brought Thomas Mr the team midway through the Australian inside okay. Too many cooks there as cooks in the kitchen many cooks in the kitchen and what ended up happening was he made all the way to the finals. Beating the Dow shot lost a Jock which and five. And that's what I mean. Great champions do they know when they need to cut when they need more when they need less coaching from the player box happens all the time on court coaching. Why not favorite player growing up? I'm John McEnroe favorite forehand That's a tough one. Actually Depends favorite four. And there's so many in the list that you go through. I quite liked watching Godse just because it was sheer crazy power. Fernando Gonzalo is a lot of a lot of our guest. Say that favorite backhand well. It depends if you're one or two handed so if if I was going one handed I'd probably go stand the man. Just because the sheer power he can get on to say jock itch volleys McEnroe serfs Serve I would say Sampras I'd have to say is the greatest that ever existed. If I couldn't take my own I quite like mine Craig. Shout to Pete who Tormented and tortured Greg from time to time. The only time didn't touch being the Chamber. The only time he didn't talk to you was It was on clay. Where do you keep your trophies? Oh all over the place. I don't even have that many of them have few in my sitting room. Maybe two or three and the rest. I don't even know. Half of them are come on. Man. You don't know where your trophies I don't. Actually I have the one in Paris master series and my sitting room of the BBC Sports Personality. And then my my. Atp Finals the season finals. I ended up getting to but then a few of them somewhere in storage summer. My parents did you see your credentials throughout your career. Didn't save my credentials. Few Pass my kids save. There's whenever they come to the events these days. How many rackets do you keep in your house? I don't have that many left only special rockets for special memories so maybe about ten ten left and then the ones. I'm playing with at the moment. What racket did you keep those special for example? I have few from the US? Open finals. I have a few from when I won the Grand Slam Cup because I was last man to win that one and then I have One of the Dunlop's I one with my last events in Newport Rhode Island. Did you make a bad mistake in Switzerland Wilson to don in the middle of your career? Do I remember that I made a switch? I don't think it was a.

"Busy. You just gotTa be smart with your money and have good people around you. Let's move into our second set. This is our on the court report. Yeah let's talk about English. Tennis firm in it Dan You got. We got to start calling in British tennis. Because you'RE GOING TO SALT. All the scots the wealth over ever apologies. Apologies to the to the Empire Number Ten Evans. He's had a great year. I mean I think you know you had the whole situation. We had to go through from the drug banned. We all know about and then fell really brought his game up to scratch and got him playing some great the old coach. Tim Henman then. He parted company with him for our for our listeners. David fell ye was to greg. Just said it was the longtime coach of Tim. Henman Donovan as well. Yeah I mean this is Again one of these one of these tried and true long time. Pro Elite player coaches on the circuit. He knows he knows he knows what he's doing. So he took Dan. He worked in back in well. He worked back in from the drugs ban and brought them all the way back up into the top fifty in the world. They parted company and now he's with Mark Hilton who's Managed to this year even take him further and keep on improving. Because he's had five top twenty wins this year. He's got to a career high of twenty eight. He's playing here. Twenty nine in the world you know wins like ru hatch enough phone Nina then after that dinner no as well and Goffin. Let's not forget as well. He beats for our listeners. You know at tell you Dan Evans also has one of the most beautiful back hands on tour. While he's a complete player you know models as game and looks at the data Roger Federer having spoken to his team and so he looks at what he's doing his court positioning and tries to put some of those aspects into his game and he's all court player with one added back in a slice and that's a rarity guys willing to come forward so. I think if you play a little old school tennis is I like to say it's still works in this modern era. Do you have a fluid relationship with him? What kind of guy is he? He's a nice guy. I just interviewed him. That's why the light for your your podcast today. Because I sit there and interview. Would you have to see for himself? Gives US something good? No no he's just there. There's all the talk about a new sponsorship deal coming up in the clothing line You know he's talking about his game. Getting down here. Spent a little bit of time at larrys place here In San Diego. Because there's another British Guy Milton. He used to play with. Juniors. Who's working out of there as well. I think that he was actually working with. Dmitrov off down. There was my sources. Is that true? And there's rumors about that. I'm not so sure about dance. Preparation I think. Demetri off and Dan were practising in San Diego at level of Valencia a level. Nc or something like that but the other thing is which is great as the consistency for Dan. 'cause he's not always been the most consistent player. Three-quarters one semi's and coming in here on a good roll. I mean he's got he's got he's he's making money move. I mean he's got top twenty potential. Well he's always had top twenty potential but he would like to enjoy himself too much off the courts and I'll put in all the work seriousness and I think sometimes when you take a step back and the ban is actually the blessing in disguise for him because it's it's forced him to realize how lucky was with his lifestyle. He got banned for cocaine. He must have just gone out and rock the House one night. And that did him in What what are you hearing about Andy? Murray well Andy Murray. There's rumors he might be back for Miami He's talked about his hip having a growth. Where the The metal plate was put in so that's been causing him a little bit of problems back on the practice courts last week video. We didn't he looked like moving. Yeah it looks like it's moving pretty good but it's one thing to see See A two minute video. It's another thing to see a match. We all hope he gets back on the court but you know so hard last two years the Stop Start Stop Start and then winning and for was unbelievable result last year beating. Stan the man. What's your relationship with them with them because he ever said. Listen I gotTa shut. This down by HIP is too much. I don't think he's I think Andy's achieve so much in his career. He can do whatever he likes. The only person that can make that decision for himself and you know whether he wants to stop. That's gotta be choice whether he wants to continue. That's got to be his choice because he's been our greatest British tennis player in the Open era bar. None at the moment with his accomplishments. Is there anyone on the men's side that we need to? We haven't talked about well. I think the youngster. We're looking for youngsters for futures shock draper trees. He's the one who you know obviously played well in junior Wimbledon. He's one of the highest ranked juniors in the world at his agent. A top three hundred and a world lefty as I'm always biased to a left handed player. He's the one to look forward to from a British perspective in the men's game agreed. Name Jack Draper. He can't get better David that yeah and also you cool in it is. And he's working with Ryan Jones who worked with Kyle Edmund for a while as well too so good coach behind him as well That's who I forgot what's going on with. I mean I think Edmund he won New York Yup he added. I mean there wasn't a lot of high quality wins in there but pro. Tennis is tough. Man a wins winning. There's there's a lot of good players out there who don't actually win a tour event in their career hundred percent so it doesn't matter. What the standard is you? Have to win whatever's in frontier. But for me he's had a pretty good year he's nine and four Franco Dean's been added to the team as well as calm beecher Franko Davina I believe the Argentine. Yup exactly we patrol with Fanini. He's had many world class players with them. So you know. Last year we split. He split from Freddie Rosengren. You know there's a little bit of concern. He didn't replace him or out on a world class coach. And I've been talking about that and I'm delighted. He's got Frank Dean in his in his side. And you know the results are starting to show. It's interesting how important these coaching relationships are success of the player. Well it's all about relationship you're spending more time with that person. Then with your family usually has a professional tennis player. Because you're always on the road also that you've got to feel like you're getting value for money and improving all the time and you know there's so many factors that have to be right and you look at the average of coaching relationship on tour. It's probably about a year year and a half so the ones that go longer than exceptional. And if we talk about coaches making a massive change we just have to look at this event. A year passed with Dominic team. Did with the Nicholas Masud. That's been a revolutionary to his game. He's he's become a complete player since that partnership that's a great point on the women's side. Heather watched in just one tournament in Mexico right. She went out she wanted to POCO. Yep and you just shared a second ago that you're going to practice with her. Or what can you tell us about Heather Watson? Well I worked with heather for a little bit of When she lost to Serena up to breaks third-set at Wimbledon a few years back and she's a great girl fantastic athlete. You know is great competitor. And she finally got her Mojo back again winning Acapulco what about how she plays. Where would you say about her her her tennis? Well I think you have to play the style that you're going to win with you know. She's a fantastic mover around the court. I think she counterpunch as well. She always wants to put more aggression in her game but she has to find the right balance between the two. And that's the tricky thing you've got to look at what your strengths and your weaknesses are. You cannot make yourself something. You're not. It's like if I was going to say I'm GonNa make myself a baseline when I was pure serve volume. I might as well just give up. And this is where the player has to believe. It's the right way to play in the right way to win and I think with Heather. Sometimes she wants to play a little bit too big and that's where she has to get the balance and when she gets the Balance Right. That's when her best results happen. What are your sources telling you about? Joe Walsh a good week. This This past week. Monterey to the semi finals should be clijsters in the first round. Came hasn't had the greatest of comebacks yet but some tough openers against Mugabe ruth as well as Konta then then conto this week starting to get her field back she has a good season and then it's the season after which is more challenging one so coming into into Indian Wells. I think it was huge that she played so well Monterey Does she have the game? Dish Dessert is her game. Still holding up on tour as a as as the kind of game that could make some moves in a slam lost season. I mean she could have been files the French Open. She's one match away in a hurricane. Blustery wind so And then she's got semi's Avaz e Semi's Wimbledon number four in the world. So she's she's class. She's dangerous one. She has that confidence. And things are flowing. She can beat anybody She very streaky. Yeah she's streaky but streak. He's not a bad thing streak. He's dangerous when St comes out is dangerous so I mean for me. I'm fascinated to see how this week's.

"Has always been a minute. Well I was happy. I ran into you on the grass at the US. Open that interview even my Oli. Yeah exactly it's it's been pretty busy. You know just working some tennis doing things. You GotTa do. You know how it goes so for first of all we are sitting Under the trees on the grass at the B. M. P. Pari by Indian Wells tennis garden. That's what this is about. This is I mean. This site now is spectacular. I remember in the old days when we used to play the Grand Hyatt champions which was a great event. And then Charlie. Pasarell bought this place redid it. And Larry Ellison from Oracle has made this place Sensational Gentlemen. You hear former world number. Four Englishmen via Canada had an unbelievable career In an old time friend of mine. My Man Greg. Rucinsky in town for Amazon prime has called prime video prime video sport right now so they have all the rights. Sorry English TV. Uk basically. What happens is we have? Uk and Ireland so they have the exclusive rights for the WTO and the ATP tour as well as the US Open so it's all about streaming these days and and How are you man? I'm really well? Thank you really really good. Let's get right into this. We do a five-set format. Our first set is our off the court report. Should you live in London? I've been in London now for about twenty eight twenty nine years now so most of most of my life. They've got two kids. I'm married life. Life's changed now. It's much more relaxed and it was when it was on tour. Time flies when you are a ten this luminary. I don't know if I say I'm GonNa Luminary VICI now. Time does go quickly and I'm very fortunate. I'm still involved in the in the game playing on the champions tour playing exhibition events coming to great events like this so I it's kind of a sport for life. So you're you're broadcasting. Yup and that Amazon just switched over we BBC or were You Sky Sky Sport but Amazon started in the in tennis in two thousand eighteen. So I was part of the original tame that started up with it. And it's a it's all exciting because they will always try to do things and add new dimensions to the sport so it's a great company to work for and now we don't obviously in the United States. We don't see the Amazon feeds that you guys are doing How many matches are you doing? Say at an event like this. Are they grind you out? You know we see Alex Corretja Yours morning tonight. Are you morning tonight morning tonight? We do we do every match and you can watch every match with the great thing about streaming as you can watch the Center Court. You can watch court. Ninety can watch court ten. They've got every single match. And then you get the replays fifteen minutes so they basically have more tennis than anybody except for the tennis fan I think it's the ideal medium and Who Do you broadcast with? Who's your partner? Well the Right now Catherine. Whitaker leads the desk. We have Daniela Hantuchova. In the studio with me teen joining the Martinez Rat's Love was also joining us as well. Daniela Hantuchova You know obviously the check. Great Player Catherine Whitaker has the tennis podcast as well. Which is the she david. Lie in Matt Roberts to a terrific job Friends of the show or at least I hope they are but Catherine's outstanding I mean. Do you enjoy working. I enjoy working. Plus also we have Marcus Buckland. Who's on the team to work for? Sky? You know we have so many names and faces coming into the team and you know just getting stronger and stronger with all. The pundits and people are presenting. And there's no channel like you don't go to channel seven or eight you just gotTa go on the Internet. What happens is if you have a smart. Tv You basically go onto the prime video or you get fire stick and plug it in so I mean that's that's the future if you think about it if you get prime deliver you get all the tennis for free. You can't beat that. No listen I did when I do my research to get ready for this. I read that you writing some articles for all those all those British papers the sun the Mirror daily Tiger would not tell the truth. You really writing or you just phoning it in someone else's writing it now. What happens is you have somebody who writes it with you. Then after that you read it to make sure everything is put down correctly and you change to what you're liking is. Some of the articles will do myself and others. I'll have someone who goes to sit with me kind of stuff. Do you write about Greg. Well right about the game or what's happening you know. Obviously there was the big Serena Gate when Osaka won the title. So we talked about that situation and writing. The views of those situations with the public want to know about so it's usually during the Wimbledon period or during majors or when there's some big story in tennis happening and I also read. I learned that you have been on some game shows. Some reality shows. Is that true? I did a few reality shows. I did a dancing on ice show which is basically learning. How do I figure skate? Which was challenging. I got out of ten out of twelve weeks so it wasn't too bad I've done it a little bit of acting in episode of Miss Marple where the Danish guy who was directing didn't know I played tennis and he said Jeez. You play pretty good tennis there when I was playing with Greg. Wise is the Heisman Emma Thompson there was a scene where you had to play tennis. You didn't know the USO and had no idea 'cause there's an old old grass court club with wooden rackets going back if you've ever seen Miss Marple it's quite an old series textually interesting the Bozos that get. It's not even that because I think it was greg wise who was also helping produce it so he kind of invited me and I just I just laugh at it. I wouldn't even say it's Bozos or anything like that. It's it's a little comical. How serious you take yourself have to say that. I'm saying I didn't know you pro tennis player and playing with rocket old school And I mean what's the story? Do you make a fortune. You still have a ton of money for playing. Do Roll around in limousines everywhere you go. I'm not a flash person flashy now that's not me. I'm lucky I I live in London. I've a few properties around and I have a few things outside of tennis doing as well so I think you've got to keep yourself busy. The hardest thing for anybody when they're retiring his finding something to do. I've fortune I've gotten to media. I've got into few other projects outside of Tennessee and that and that's kept me.

"The young defensive players that they had in that front seven last year I think they have a chance to have a really good defense I think they probably will bring in people that you know. They have a lot of need on offense. They need to tight ends at least You know and maybe left tackle At some point but The Eagles are are iffy. The cowboys are iffy and the giant avenue coach. So I think I don't I think the NFC is there for taking for somebody. So I think they will. No do I think they could yet. Okay well the answer is do you think they could that the question? I'm sorry is do you think they could? I don't think they can got. It's funny because I was expecting I was expecting your answer to be emphatically no I don't think they can this year and I'm GonNa give you two primary reasons one. Is that what you spoke about is true. They've had a coaching change but a coaching change in a culture. Change are two different things. The redskins need to undergo a culture change organizationally and that doesn't take one year you can. You can have a coaching staff. Change in a good organization and be like Oh this staffs much better than the one we just had. We're going to be much better. And I do think that Ron Rivera obviously is a much better coach. Stan Jay Gruden in the Jack Del. Rio's going to be a much better defensive coordinator Greg Rusedski you know. And and hopefully Ron rivers hired staff. That's first rate in much better. But they've got a culture change. This is going to be Ron Rivera. You know involved in this place this this place that we know that not everybody would want to be a part of Bruce Allen's gone. That's a great sign that this could be a new day but he still got owner may still got you know a lot of people in the building in a lot of different areas of the building that have understood. They've been working in a dysfunctional place for a while. There is a culture change. It needs take place I think it takes longer than a year. Secondly and this is just as important. I think is that even though I believe Dwayne. Haskins has a chance to be a good quarterback in this league. It's still a major question mark. So you're not sure about the quarterback and the culture change takes more than a year. I don't think that they can win the NFC east outside of the typical if everything breaks their way and they hit the inside straight. I don't think that they can win the NFC East but okay. Let's say the coaching changes were to win. Automatically that gives that puts them five win. Let's say a better personnel. Roster is good for two more wins. That puts them at seven. Wins if you're seven and nine any. Nfc East you're within a game or two breaking your way of winding up winning the division. That's how you're going to. This is where you're GONNA get to. They can win the division seventy nine seven nine. If you're if you're seven and nine maybe one or two games go your way. That shouldn't well the one or games that go your way to. Shouldn't you've already given via the coaching staff. Now your way to nose automatic concrete.

After Coronavirus Outbreak, Protective Masks Are In Short Supply

"Masks are starting to sell out all over the country. As fears of a potential corona virus pandemic spread searches for masks online at local pharmacies and hardware stores. Were coming up short and many of the merchants. That still have masks. Are Jacking up. The prices planet. Money's Greg Rusedski. Has This report last month. Daniel Tomasi decided he wanted to take some extra precautions against the Kerr virus. He's got a pregnant wife and a two year old. He started searching for masks on Amazon and he found that he would have to wait a month to get them so I went to the owner stores of basically every major pharmacy. Cvs walgreens target and certain places right and they were all out of stock so Tomasi colden drove to stores around Saint Louis which is where he lives still no luck so he tried Ebay. You know when I'm buying clothes you base as good enough place but for my medical needs. I never really thought about Ebay as my bill to place so we searches for masks and they were crazy. Expensive the cheapest Massey could find on Ebay. Were four times their standard sticker price thing. I've got fifty masks fifty bucks. It's not going to break. The bank. Was like better safe than sorry to. Mossy story is now the story of millions of people around the world. They're scrambling for masks and it's hard to find them and sellers like on Ebay and Amazon. Have Been Jacking up. Prices according to the online price record keeper a thirty pack of three popular N. Ninety five mask was selling on Amazon for a hundred and ninety nine dollars and ninety five cents on Tuesday normally. It's about fifteen bucks even major. American hospitals are reportedly running out of these masks. Here's the George Mason economist Tyler Cowen while the actual practical concern here. Is that healthcare professionals in hospitals and need to get enough of the masks the US Health and Human Services Secretary Alexander as our says the government wants to buy three hundred million additional ninety five masks to protect Americans. He's urging domestic manufacturers to ramp up production and that's the point there's not enough supply and that's the reason why prices are surging all over the place and obviously that's not popular well when human life possibly is at stake. I think the intuitions about fairness become sharper and stronger. Amazon for example has a policy urging fair pricing. This week told some sellers mass on its marketplace that they could be suspended if they jacked up. The prices. Too Much Amazon doesn't want people to resent masks are a very small share of their overall business but if people get upset at Amazon the whole company could be worthless in other words. It's in Amazon's economic interest to not look too cold hearted as a reputation to protect as for Dino Tomasi. He paid fifty dollars for a box of the wrong masks. I later found out that these might not actually be super effective coronavirus the CDC says on its website the most effective mask against Krona virus is the end ninety. Five or higher respirator mask. But at this moment it's recommending them only for Health

"Is an indictment on the former staff or former mindset to to not play guys through their strength and we saw like what's the point of making norman the highest paid quarter in the NFL. You're not GonNa let him do what he does. Best and they never did that and and I'll never understand. Well I mean think about the origins of two deals in particular actually three. If you want to go back to Donovan mcnabb but Josh Norman. Alex Smith in recent years were two of the big deals that Bruce Allin initiated. You know Because remember this was a guy that lived on. Bargain deals for subpar players. Like hey look at the contract. We got for this very average player. The redskins were the opposite of what they were from. Two Thousand Two thousand nine before Bruce Scott here. It wasn't any better this way but the two big signings that he went out and made noise with worked total misfits Josh. Norman didn't fit the defensive scheme that Berry or Ultimately Greg Rusedski was coaching and Alex Smith wasn't a good fit for Jay gruden scheme you know so it was. It was sort of ill-conceived from the beginning. But my point on Norman is this. It would not upset me if Ron Rivera said I know what this guy is. I know how to get the most out of him. He's a veteran. He's smart. He's got ball skills by the way the thing that I've always liked about Norman. He's he's always been a willing tackler. You know for a corner and a bit about playmakers tackler as well and if Rivera as a fan of the team if reverse in. I know how to play him. I know how to put him in positions where he can succeed and if he doesn't get a big deal with guaranteed money elsewhere. We'd we'd be happy to have him back on a one one to two year deal. Maybe a second year option team option for team friendly money because we don't have any corners are we have very few and be. I know what he is and I can make it work. That wouldn't bother me no. It shouldn't.

"The supporting cast offensively ends up being better than we think but it has to be or keenum won't be effective effective Cole McCoy won't be effective actually would probably have more of a chance to be effective just not playoff effective in my view and Haskins would clearly as a rookie probably struggle without a supporting cast but don't kids yourself case keenum 2017 had a great supporting cast a great supporting cast they ran the ball they had weapons offensively and by the way they had dominant defense something that Minnesota actually didn't didn't have last year in part because of injuries aren't fourth reason the redskins could make the playoffs in two thousand nineteen this one's easy all right and to me maybe the most likely and that is that they improve again defensively offensively and part of that improvement is consistency. You know they don't become easy to figure out which I think was part of the issue they had late last year. Remember last year that the injuries were mostly on offense not defense but the defense regressed from a first-half in which it was very good especially as a run stopping team and then all of the sudden. It wasn't very good. What happened can't really blame it on injuries? I think the regression of the defense in the second half of the season last year was something that the organization and maybe even Jay Gruden blamed the defensive staff for more than anything else that's why they tried to replace Ace Greg Rusedski. If Greg Williams or Todd Bowles had decided to take the defensive coordinator job I'd be so much more optimistic about the defense and the team this year but at a minimum you do have Jon Allen who is a terrific talent entering year three doron pain who really played well as a rookie in year two mad I and Nitis who's a very good player signed to a contract extension and hopefully you get big time contributions from Newcomers Landon Collins and and Montana's sweat in particular glass half full you end up with a defense that is nuzzling up against the top ten area that is to me of the five reasons. I'm going to give you the the most likely or the thing that I most optimistic about that. I don't think that that's a significant stretch to think that the defense will be improved from where it wasn't twenty eighteen and in twenty eighteen it was significantly lately improved from where it was in two thousand seventeen but it has to make another step and part of that step has to be consistency. It's gotTa play the way it did in the first half of the season for the whole season and maybe it can and then here's reason number five at the redskins could make the playoffs in twenty nineteen. It becomes a team that doesn't beat itself which is exactly what it was last year over the first nine nine games or certainly in six of the first nine games last year in old sports talk voice in this town <hes> really the first significant sports talk voice in this town. Ken Beatrice used to say all the time like more games in the N._F._l.. Or lost not one that is what he used to say and guess who agreed with him. Joe Gibbs Bobby Beth `red Charley casserly the Redskins made a living whoa not losing games. It's a big difference all right. The redskins have not been able to out dynamic teams in recent years outscore teams throw the eighty five bears defense out there to win games all right last year for the first time in a long time through those first nine games are in six of the nine they were the more disciplined team the Redskins by the way finished plus seven last year in turnover margin for the first half of the season they were on the better end of penalty yardage. They never beat themselves during those first nine games and they won six of them because of it they weren't dynamic offensively. They weren't dominating their opponents with unbelievable defense and when they arrived at key moments and a lot of those games the other team made the mistake the other team fumbled or missed a big field goal and the redskins didn't do that if you don't beat yourself with turnovers and penalties and missed kicks..
