had I will answer I Ryszard action that I struggle and you got to think of all of them to I pretty much know what yeah I think so yep so well no we never know mall because in remodeling we always run into things that we've never experienced before right fair enough yeah okay that's what's fun about this business so appreciably tuning in and hope you know might have a little fun with us as we have fun together because we just have a fun time working here only I absolutely love it yeah we have a great camaraderie and just a good team of people and we all enjoy working together yeah there a lot it was really fun to work with only four and go to work every day yep three more and if you go to our website and look at all of our employee photos you'll just see how happy everybody is is kind of going to get to work now about back to work at the all right so again thanks for tuning in today we really do want to talk about questions homeowners have about remodeling and I'm sure that here we are getting closer to summer and it's usually you know spring and also falls when people are thinking about doing work to their homes and I'm sure there's a lot of people it has been a lot of time in your home that are anxious to get some stuff done so we are having a lot of those people call us and ask about remodeling or with their particular scenario someone needs that they've really recognize that their family has now that they've been in the house a lot more than before and it's just brought to light you know maybe some of the shortcomings of homes and how they could be improved or if maybe some of you I think about the wonderful projects we've done in the past even now all these homeowners have had great living spaces to enjoy father spending more time at home yeah they they all the projects that we worked over the years that they really I've been trying to find the best way to make their house a place that they can just enjoy and love time and not have to go to the heartache of moving and stuff like that yeah so that's why we're here so Steve when people come to us some people are just very knowledgeable and maybe they've been through Molly before or they really researched a lot they know a lot of what they wanna do they know a lot of the products out there they have done studying and kind of know what the process is like so that's one end of the spectrum the on the other end is people have never been through all of them before they have so many questions and they're unsure about a lot of stuff they're obviously very concerned about the company they go with scissors somebody they can trust somebody that will help them through all the unknowns because if they're not experienced at this you know they're going to be trusting someone to make their help them make the right decisions that's right I mean yeah dressed as a big part of any decision you make as far as the model you choose yeah and that trust I think involves working with somebody that's really looking out for their best interests yeah actually the it's one of the first things they can ask about remodeler you know as you know how long they've been doing work and you know if they're gonna be doing work for you are they can't listen to what you're saying you know they are they can be like you said looking out for their best interests that's going to come down to really come and say listen the garage has been a lot more time listening than talking yeah as we said on the radio sure yeah and taking the stings that the homeowner says and being able to kind of interpolate in a get them the solution they really want even if they can't articulate well right because I mean they're actually coming to you unhappy the new diet now it's my job to make them happy yeah which isn't always easy thing to do gotta get inside their minds a little bit okay so how do we do that with what's are some of the initial questions you get from people well the list is long actually that people are typically asking usually when people are calling you know they really can't want to get done they greedy now how much is my side project and the cost and how how long does it take to do it and then usually right after those questions are why is it costs so much then why is it takes a long so it's got into question well you didn't answer them right well the one thing is is that you know a lot of it comes down to the homeowners just like said not not really kind of knowing what it's like and why it takes so long to do certain things here that maybe they built a home which you can take anywhere from six to eight months to build sometimes longer but you know control home but you know when you work with a remodeling project remodeling projects are much different imali projects has people living in the home and the contractor being limited on the amount of time they can be in that home a certain amount of time during the day and during the the weekend on the weekends so and keeping that balance mmhm and you know going into the questions that a lot of rumors get when I talk to about how long to prod my project and take you take a a a simple kitchen project you know how long while hello kitchen project take they'll take almost any range anywhere from nine to twelve weeks sometimes they can take longer how customary and when they asked that question that's always followed up white's takes a long and the one real main reason being is that you live in now is that the general contractors and subcontractors people actually working at the come into your home if the terror set up their equipment every single day they have to you know the house he would take a lunch with us that way for you to get out you know if you're there in the home they can't get there at six o'clock in the morning they had a way to like a reasonable time maybe seven thirty or eight and that the set up then they course take lunches and stuff like that too and then there but also at the clean up and tear down and put stuff away and I chops into maybe three hours of regular work day so again if you have any hour work day they only have five hours a day to work on your home every single day actually do physical work now for doing a new home model number nobody living there in get there at six thirty and bang away until you know five thirty six o'clock at night nobody's gonna there was a marked as sent away for modeling industry yep we're actually invading people's privacy we're going right into their homes where they live and that's a whole different scenario which means it's a different ballgame for hiring employees that work in those situations to yeah yeah I can't I just can't randomly bring in somebody that scat bad hygiene but has a foul mouth or no work around people their kids and something people that we want people they can trust and feel comfortable in your home exactly while you're perhaps I've been home there yourself himself yes mazing how may times we're working for people that might be here on long vacation or maybe their jobs taken them to a different part of the country or overseas or something and so we'll be working in the space that we can have all the electronic communications so we can keep them updated lots of like term communication now yeah that's for sure more than we ever dreamed of but that's the way you are so again got Steve know we realize that you were being a real deal with us we appreciate that street straight up that that's the type person I respect you know why because they admitted that they weren't right like it I'm not always right yeah I've been wrong I've been wrong sometimes right so I did this study I love this study I talked about on here before but I'm to bring it up again right our our past one hundred and fifteen listings that we've had on the market Greg right that we listed not the buyers and that we listed we looked at the amount of people that listened to what our advice was and how to prepare their home how to price their home how to keep the home like you know stage during the the showings how to keep it clean all that stuff right how to negotiate they let us do our job it was eighty one percent of our clients right okay so nineteen percent of our clients didn't listen they didn't take our advice on how to prepare the dinner take our advice on how to prep they took more than eighty percent of our time yeah right and they sold their properties for five five percent less that's twenty thousand dollars on forty grand five percent less with three times the amount of days on market now we're digging to try to find out how much money they lost during repair request I'm guaranteeing that these people probably lost about twenty five to thirty thousand dollars first the clients that took our advice that clients wrong okay so the question to you is why don't Sir in people take advice edit you know it's not even necessarily their fault right away it's because there's a perceived there's a perceived I there's a there's an idea out there that sales people are only in it for the commission right in in obviously like first off who the hell goes to work and doesn't expect to get paid so because you work at a restaurant in your shaft right that you're working on commission to because if you don't if you don't do a good job if you don't if you don't make good food you're gonna get fired right what is the difference you know what the only difference is the differences with commission professionals the simple fact that we show up to work and we work and we put in about forty fifty sixty hours and sometimes don't get paid right we don't get paid until you get paid until the job is completed and that takes a big set of balls it does take up a big circle yes it does it takes a big set of coolness and eight but the whole thing is is the reason why they have this perceived notion is because it's simple because they've been lied to they've been burnt we've all been burnt I've been burnt right yeah by people by friends by sales people we've been burnt but there's always there's always that select group of fine professionals in any any profession in any field that is going to lead you to the direct the good way I think and I was a big rant I would let me hear your thoughts well what I can say is that you're you're on the head you hit it right on the head you're given data I'm given philos philosophy you know thoughts thinking you're given numbers to prove my point that if you follow your professionals advice you're gonna make more money and the jobs going to get done much quicker that the data doesn't lie in the data may change time to time but we're gonna track it doesn't lie if you're a know it all and you know how to sell homes why are you calling in what's up sometimes they don't sometimes we find and call them okay in less than others Hey but that's the point is like if you're asking for help you have to accept all of the help yeah I don't think there's room to piecemeal like do this we do that way I like that that's good meme just asking for help you have successful writing that down on sept all of it I liked that worlds do it on your own I think when you try to do both it muddies the water and it just gets really sticky except all of Emilio's help on our end eighty six steps whatever it is or accept none of them zero I give tonight and I remember this I I regret this right and I appreciate use for still be my friend but by like literally caught myself telling Greg how to do his job and then he said brother you have such a calm demeanor is a brother we do this every day please let me handle it and it gave me a reality check like all my god like like I'm doing what some of my clients do to me and it's only human nature yeah it's not a bad thing but dude I felt so bad and and since then auto drive I let nexus handle it dude it's like clockwork I get deposit in the bank account every month sometimes not but you guys handle it yeah done the one less stress off my off my back she got let go sometimes like you're selling my house right now yeah I'm not getting in the way it all on Hey you haven't said anything to just if you could sell sell it great I'm not gonna tell you how to sell it I don't want to sell it yeah I don't know how to sell it so we're both on the same page and that's a prime example for the viewers we do it as well we're not just preaching to the choir here we're following the messages that we preach hundred percent we're humans were all humans we all need help in something yeah totally
