Even used stevens last name though they were not legally married. Despite her protestations barbara was arrested and police began their investigation. But perhaps barbara's protests weren't as far fetched as police had assumed a cursory internet search revealed. That barbour stephen were active members of an online cult. The woman behind a virtual reptilian kalt will explore her troubled childhood as well as how schreiner used the internet to cultivate her following sherry. J. schreiner was born on december eleventh. Nineteen sixty five in cleveland. Ohio into a devout god fearing christian family. She attended private christian schools and went to church every sunday. Surrounded by discussions of jesus and religion. Schreiner never remembered a time when she wasn't thinking about discussing reading the bible while sherry was a very private person of the information that's known about our comes from her self published books in one titled bible codes revealed the coming. Ufo invasion sherry claimed that she was proclaiming. God's name by the age of two and she was reborn by the age of five however also at that time she developed horrific haunting night terrors which she described in vivid detail sherry wrote. A figure would stand at the foot of my bed and stare at me as i lay trying to sleep. Fear and sheer terror with grip every muscle and bone. I had it was at least seven feet tall dark and evil. I would shrivel under my blankets and pray for it to go away. I did not know what it was other than feeling it was some evil being straight from hell and i certainly did not know what it wanted. Vanessa's going to take over on the psychology here and throughout the episode please note. Vanessa is not a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist. But she has done a lot of research for this show. thanks greg. The national sleep foundation explained that night terrors can have several causes including extreme tiredness lack of sleep or stress. It is quite possible that stress of her family's devout contributed to share his night terrors. As a child though. We don't know the specifics of the situation. Perhaps sheri's family put pressure on her to adhere to a specific code of conduct prescribed by their faith sheri's terrors continued to haunt her well into her adolescence as the years passed. She had a revelation. These visions were not some anonymous shadowy figures but evil demons sent by lucifer to kill her. She proclaimed herself lucifer's arch enemy. Though she hid this title from those around her by the age of twelve sherry had read the bible from front to back and was particularly interested. In the book of revelation the final book of the christian bible known for its strange imagery and apocalyptic predictions schreiner was fascinated by the concepts of the end of days and the arrival of the anti christ but despite shriners deep immersion in biblical studies. She hated her religion. She disagreed with much of christianity and brandon herself a nonconformist becoming the black sheep of her family but sherry shifted her biblical prophecy studies to the side while she focused on higher education she dreamed of pursuing a career in television news broadcasting

Cults Daily: "The Manson Family" Charles Manson

"Hi I'm Vanessa. Richardson and this is colts. Podcast original this is the fourteenth episode in our Daily Series on the strange prophecies made by different cults and their leaders throughout this month. Were taking a daily look at the myriad of apocalyptic predictions to try and uncover. What makes these revelations so appealing? I'm here with my co host. Greg Paulson everyone today. We're examining Charles. Manson a failed musician turned cult leader. Who CLAIMED TO BE JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF? He called his followers. The family in promise that they'd rule the post apocalyptic world after a massive race for destroyed civilization in the nineteen sixties. Charles Manson was an aspiring musician living in Los Angeles but unlike other music Aficionados Manson didn't just love pop for its beats and lyrics. Rock and roll hits spoke to him literally. Manson reportedly believe that songs like the Beatles skelter contained hidden references to a coming race war. Although the tune is actually about a whirling amusement park ride Manson took it to mean that a war between people and white people would destabilise American society. The fight would culminate in a vicious slaughter. According Manson black people would kill every white person in the United States except for him and his followers. Who would ride out the combat in an underground bunker? At the end of the battle Manson's cult called the family would emerge and rule over the survivors. Atlantic says all this sounds. Manson was a master manipulator. The family fully believed as claims about the coming war as well as his assertions that he was. Jesus Christ unquestioningly. They prepared for the prophesied apocalypse. Manson insisted that the fighting would break out any day. But by the summer of nineteen sixty nine there was still no race war in America hoping to get things moving. He ordered his followers to murder. The white residents of one zero zero five zero Cielo drive. They did so just after midnight on August ninth then dressed the crime scene to make it look like the militant black. Panthers had committed the homicide the next night he ordered his followers to kill Lino and Rosemary Labianca a couple living on waverly drive after the murders Manson pocketed rosemary's wallet hoping to Lebed in a predominantly black Los Angeles neighborhood and point suspicion toward the People. Who lived there but the police weren't fooled. They were aware of the family and rated Manson's compound numerous times for thefts by winter. They've made the connection between the Doomsday. Cult and the spate of Los Angeles killings in December Manson and several followers were arrested and tried for the Tate Labianca killings on January twenty fifth nineteen seventy-one Charles. Manson was found

Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God

"March seventeenth two thousand. The Movement for the restoration of the Ten Commandments of God held a huge party to celebrate the end of the world. The party was scheduled to last for two days as the leaders had roasted three bulls for feasting and acquired seventy crates of soft drinks. Hundreds of men women and children had arrived to join in the festivities and prepare for Armageddon yet. Armageddon came much more quickly than any of them had anticipated as the members gathered in the chapel at the primary complex in Congo. Uganda the doors and windows were boarded. Shut THE CHURCH. Building was set on fire. And at least seven. Hundred congregants were burdened ally. Hi I'm Vanessa. Richardson and this is colts. Apart cast original this is the thirteenth episode in our Daily Series. On the strange prophecies made by different cults and their leaders throughout this month. Were taking a daily look at the myriad of apocalyptic predictions to try and uncover. What makes these revelations so appealing? I'm here with my co host. Greg Paulson pyeryone today. We're discussing the beliefs of Christiania. Marin Day she convinced member cult the Movement for the restoration of the Ten Commandments of God. That Armageddon was imminent after predicting the world would end on January. First two thousand. The cut leadership killed their own members for reasons that are still not entirely clear. It's very likely they didn't want members to realize their doomsday predictions. Were wrong the Movement for the restoration of the Ten Commandments of God began in nineteen eighty nine. When Cronje Morandi a bartender banana beer brewer and sex worker claimed that the Virgin. Mary had appeared before her in the vision. Mary commanded Cronje to clean up her life and spread the news of a coming apocalypse. Cra Dona claimed at the world would face awful tribulation from God if people did not turn back to him and follow his ten commandments to the letter most people looked upon CR- Dona with skepticism. However she brought her predictions to form a government employee. Joseph Kibera Terry. He had also claimed have seen visions from God and when Cronje came to him he believed God had brought her into his life. Cuba Terry's endorsement of Kunia gave her story. The clouded needed together. Cronje and Cuba Terry Spread Their Doomsday message. Luckily for them Uganda was in a state of total chaos. Making Armageddon look highly plausible. Even the most sceptical Ugandans of the day the entire nation had been embroiled in a civil war with atrocity after atrocity being committed on all sides in addition HIV and AIDS had torn through the country at a rapid pace killing indiscriminately to make matters worse. The Roman Catholic Church one of the only pillars of stability in the region had become embroiled in its own awful scandals. People were desperate for safety and answers in could dona. Morandi was all too happy to provide. She called the people of Uganda follow her and promised to shelter them through the coming wrath of God. This message proved effective over the course of eight years. The movement's membership grew to over four thousand and built several dedicated living complexes throughout the region. Yet for all the cult successes Cra Dona had never decided on an official date for the end of the world to maintain control. Cordona stated that the world would end on January. First two thousand. The Colt was prepared to die. When the day finally came but as January first came and went so did CRA donas credibility. People began to leave the movement on mass in order to save face. Crony announced a new date. For the end of the World March eighteenth. They would have a grand party to celebrate starting on the seventeenth when over seven hundred people showed up to the Kananga Complex Cronje provided the apocalypse she had promised by burning them alive within the chapel. Some believe she died in the fire while others believe she escaped but more horrific revelations were still to come as the Ugandan government investigated the movement's Bases. They discovered mass graves at each and everyone in total. Three hundred ninety. Five additional members of the movement had been shot stabbed and poisoned by their own leadership sometime before the fire overall the Movement for the restoration of the Ten Commandments of God had proven to be one of the deadliest cults ever created when her doomsday prophecies. Failed CR- DONIO. Marinda made sure they would never fail again by killing more than two thousand of her own followers whether she died with them or escape to safety is unknown to this

the mouth water and bile is your throat the urban legend known as book cooked baby the story of the cooked aby is exactly what it says on the tin or oven or microwave in the case of mistaken identity a newborn is could worked in the place of some kind of roast meat the reasons for this unsubtly error range from the overconsumption of Scotch to tripping our st to John I needed the baby to stop crying but no matter what there's always a child and no matter what they're horrible fate is never Apple Gills was not the babysitting type what she needed money she tried to get a job in a few rest brought kitchens but they told her fifteen was far too young to be showing such an interest knives so she'd started hitting the babysitting circuit it was the enough play but some kids eat some pizza but it was also mind numbing work each kid blurred into the last the houses all look the same there were only so many re watches of frozen she could handle before she started scratching the walls but this time she got to choose what they watch because she was taking care of a baby the baby had cried for hours his little lungs practically bursting snot dribble down his face he was a nightmare Jews wanted to rip off her own ears and then the baby's she taking care of literally everything and the kids screamed and then suddenly with absolutely no warning the baby stopped falling asleep in her arms jules carefully placed him in his crib and headed back downstairs but jules was bored so bored so she took a tabby acid sure it wasn't the most responsible choice but the kid was already asleep and the parents would be home soon enough she wasn't planning on driving being or operating heavy machinery she just wanted the world to get a little more interesting at I felt like nothing was happening jewels was still on a boring suburban house with nothing to do but watch television then slowly things started to change the characters on the television turn to face her addressing her directly they reminded her that she needed to make dinner gills auditor ahead even though she was fairly certain that she'd already had dinner the wallpaper started to drip down onto the floor in front of her a series of break pink polka dots dropping from the ceiling and splashing down on the floor the pink eight at the Hem of Jules pants it made her giggle she stood up her feet sliding slightly through the brightly colored mess jewel scrambled across the living room to reach the kitchen there was some reason she was supposed to be in here but she couldn't remember what that was two feet away from her was the largest dog she'd ever seen it was straining tied to leg of the kitchen table his face look cute this distance but as she got closer she realized that the liquid dribbling onto the floor was foam and not drool she kneeled down on keeping your distance the dog snarled at her it's is fell from their sockets landing on the tile floor the furred dissolved patches along its body part of its job began to come unhinged it lunged at her again and Jules threw herself to the side accidentally crushing the dogs eyeballs beneath their feet it yelled and pain like it could still feel them she scooped the wet fragments of what used to be as is up and pushed it towards him the dog sniffed them for a minute before looking them up off the floor it's irises is look back at her from between it's jagged teeth jewel shivered glistening string between the dog and the table it looked sturdy enough so she crawled farther into the kitchen hand over hand the floor was quoted something sticky but she couldn't figure out what it was she stood up and looked around everything looked as it shied what is she doing like a beacon the shiny chrome of the oven glowed against the dark blacks of the kitchen it was a beautiful silver going green and gold and purple old and green again she walked towards it skating her hand across the soft shiny finish it was colder than she thought it would be ovens should always be hot it told her so Jill said the oven preheat at four hundred degrees she left her hands on the outside delighting as ambient heat started to creep into the metal she wanted to put something inside the oven marsh Mello's or meet something that would sizzle turn Brown get a nice crispy skin on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside they would be glorious it would be the most brilliant idea anyone ever had she dug around in the pantry but she couldn't find any marshmallows somewhere a baby cried jewel sent one lingering glance towards the oven and then followed the sound she trailed through the house until she came upon a room with a small vibrant blue door jewels opened it slowly declined another dog but she counts something better Turkey she tried to pick the Turkey up but it was the bre- flailed in her terms making loud noises distress this wouldn't do she needed to sit quietly in the oven jewels wrapped her arms around the Turkey tighter and tighter it seemed to like that the sounds quieted down and she danced with it into the kitchen she had never seen a live Turkey in someone's house before she figured it had to be there for dinner but it wasn't humane to keep it alive before you cooked it jewels new all ma lobsters and spent a few minutes thinking about their freaky antennas finally in the Kitchen Gills shifted the Turkey into one arm and pulled roasting pan she sat the Turkey in the Pan but it kept rolling out she didn't have another pan big enough to trap it so she would have undo with what she had it was time she had never made a full Turkey before but she knew what the process looked like from years spent hovering near the kitchen during Thanksgiving gills couldn't find ending string but she found some tape she had no idea if you could put that in the win but it would have to work it would be worth it she taped the wings together behind the birds back then she did the same with the legs now it looked like a real thanksgiving Turkey she grabbed a knife and cut at the shoulders of the Turkey pulling the skin away just too little to create a pod hit for steam to pass through but Turkey squealed but she kissed it saying it would all be over soon she really should've named it that would have been respectful the light pink meat was littered with dark red splotches from her comments she took the Dan and put it into the sink the Turkey seemed confused now about its surroundings she turned the water on the blood started to wash away changing colors as it swirled down purple black read it made her dizzy to watch next she rubbed butter all over the Turkey skin jewels picked up the night again and took a deep breath she hated the process spatchcock king but the thought of that crispy skin gave her confidence she brought the knife down cutting half the skin and hitting hard bone she kept going whacking the night against the bone until it finally gave way she spread them out flat making an even surface for the heat to hit then she put the Turkey in the oven coming up dinner is served guys we've got some he big little news Jimmy Johns shocked introduced the three dollar "Doesn't apply to us at night? I don't understand why we need this transition. We get all screwed. Anyways. I was talking to John Lund about jewel because we were just having that conversation back in my early radio days of two thousand five I worked for radio station called one hundred twenty five zone, Sacramento. And we used to have this thing called the zone lounge member that F P. Yes, I did nights on I did nights and afternoons on that station and had called the zone lounging jewel jewel came into perform zone lounge. And I thought she was kind of a debate to be honest with you wasn't big fan. You said her drink needed to be submerged every time an artist would come through to these zone. Colder riderless, and this is the things that they requested before the show after the Wayne's world. I need every Eminem separate. Exactly, right. That's exactly. Correct. So I remember specifically her riderless was that all the drinks had to be submerged underneath the ice water. She couldn't have it like sitting out in the in the in the bucket, that'd be underneath nice and cold you wanted one or two drinks chilled. Franson that's all she needed to say. She did live in Alaska. That's right. Yes is very interesting time iced coffee in Alaska. Does explain the grill for sure? She didn't use like would toothpicks the igloo. Icicles like this. Exactly, right. You know, what I think I think prime is actually a fan of jewels, and he's irritated. We're making fun of her. I mean, she's got a great voice. Great voice. Okay. I'm not going to get too far into the jewel thing because we can go for an hour on. I really could about how awful she is. I don't like her music at all right ready for that. Your your taste of music sucks. You're going to say that, sir. What's going on tonight? We got a lot of things coming up shortly. I mean, less than less than ten minutes. Greg Paulson from dude w JFK Washington. DC hop on with us, obviously, we'll talk about what's going on with Reuben foster. And then towards the end of the conversation talk about Bryce slow bit. See what the update is on that front. But I'm excited about that. I want to see exactly what's going. I wanna hear exactly what's going on from somebody. Who's there in DC? Multiple stuff ha Clinton Dickey out today and said all these former teammates or say, they never came to us and said anything about it. It's such a silly situation. But it doesn't shock me one. When you put in a claim, the you don't have enough time from the time you putting in a claim to being granted the claims, you don't have enough time to get to everyone. It'd be like, hey, we need to be all on the same page. Should they should a coaching staff? Do that. Because I mean, we situation like this. Yeah. I wouldn't fabricate anything. Yeah. I wouldn't I wouldn't like this story itself is not need to be fabricated. You go outside the lines a little bit with this story. You're right. You have to be straightened up front, and I don't think they have been it's been quite a spectacle. So far, it's pretty disappointing certain aspects of it. But I want to hear what grants to say from actually covering the team. We gotta asked about the Alex Smith stuff that changes everything there. We'll see I told I told him I went on with him during the all star game. You did before the all star game was in studio with them for for quick little sag and. I'm not gonna live said, hey, Alex Smith. He's not great. But he's a damn good football player and you'll win. They're very skeptical at the time. They were first place when when when he got hurt. Not anymore. No, not at all, man. It's going to be it's very interesting locker room. I may have Reuben foster does iguana tonight big Monday night for boy who is it light. Who is it bigger for is Monday night football this week bigger for the eagles or the Redskins? That's a good question to ask him. I think he's a really good question. It's really really good question. My money right now as we sit here on the twenty eighth. I would say it'd be the Redskins, but west grant coming up in a couple of minutes time now for the.
