That's right, simply click on the Let's Talk link to request your complimentary financial review. And if I were to describe to you the process, so you click on it, you say you want to take advantage of the complimentary financial review, please understand that I do ask you to participate. send I'm going to you a questionnaire that's going to help you get yourself organized and then I'm going to after ask some supporting documentation. Why do I do that? Well, I think a true fiduciary is going to go through this process with you. A fiduciary just can't or is it in the business of off selling you something, offering you something, right? You get the distinction there. So I need to know a little about you in order to really have an opinion. I mean, obviously, you can always call me at 866 -496 -2300. If you're on the you website, can always double click on the blue box at the bottom of the right hand side of the website and request a 15 -20 minute conversation with me and we can start to dialogue the conversation that way. But I'm going to ask questions of you. I tend to believe asking questions leads to better, better guidance, right? I can't give you advice unless you're, one, a client, and two, know I something about you. The Securities Exchange Commission has a rule, that's right, has a rule about knowing one's client. Again, that's one of those important distinctions between a subsidiary and someone who's just trying to sell you something. And we talked about it in the first hour of the show today about the salesman trying to sell a product, but was it necessarily appropriate for the individual partially because they weren't aware of all the facts he didn't ask, they didn't offer? You know what comes first? The cart or the horse or a hoarder or pulling you up, whatever. 866 -496 -2300 is the number. Well, here's one for you. We'll spend a couple minutes talking about real estate. Obviously, I am a real estate broker, I am a mortgage broker, have had those licenses, I've had the real estate license since 1987.

"I'm not saying he's greedy or materialistic. But he likes making that money. I think they all do fair. I also think my theory on this with not just pop with any of these guys. Why does Larry Brown keep coming back, right? Like why did George Carl go coach the kings? Why did Phil Jackson when he was not physically able to coach nevertheless decide to do something that he had really no basis for doing in running the Knicks? It's an addiction, Jay. I think they can't walk away because this is so in their blood that they just don't know what to do with themselves without it. And like, yes, the money's great. And yes, Phil Jackson was paid handsomely to, you know, to run the Knicks and pop us being paid handsomely to keep coaching the spurs and George Carl was paid handsomely to go take on the king's disaster and whatever. Like, I don't even, I'm not dismissing that at all. Millions of dollars are not easily dismissed. I think these guys just can't get it out of their system. I think they don't know how to walk away. Also, you'll never be the best at something again. And a lot of those guys you taught me, Larry Brown, even with only one NBA championship. A lot of people thought of him as the best coach out there. I mean, a great coach did great things. I always say the fact that he had a winning record with the Clippers. You know, at the time that he was there with the Clippers, is to meet a great investment to his abilities. You know, we saw what Tom Brady, that's why I don't begrudge athletes when they waffle on retirement or keep coming back after we want them to retire is because they'll never be able to do this again in their lives. And with coaching, you can continue to do it. Even in your 70s, so how do you walk away from something when you're the absolute best at it when you're as successful as Greg papa chats? And when you enjoy it and we talked about the grooming and the instruction and the influence that he likes to have, I get the sense he likes these young he's kind of been invigorated by taking this new team after he had that great rhetoric core for all those years. He likes to challenge of turning these guys into competitive NBA players. Absolutely. And we're back with breaking news, Coke zero sugar might be the best Coke ever. That's right, Jim. Make sure. Oh, yes, this tastes like the best Coke ever to me. We're on the air. I need to try it first. With zero sugar and refreshingly delicious, is Coca-Cola zero sugar the best Coke ever? On the other side, Jared Goff. Alright, you take a look at what the day was 38 for 57 338 yards, three touchdowns but also an interception and it went back to the house because that's what happens when he plays the 49 ers. Three pick sixes in his last four games against San Francisco. Detroit had some offense just came up a buck short. The San Francisco wins 41 to 33. For Seattle. The trip to Indianapolis today meant that Russell Wilson had yet another opportunity to well. Show what he could do, although last year what they were saying more than anything else was less let Russ cook, let Russ cook well last year Rust cooked and did so to the tune of 4200 and 12 yards. That whole let Russ Cook thing was a little bit of a problem for everybody in Seattle, or at least for the head coach Last year, he's got a new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and Pete was happy to give Shane all of the credit. The day to me, It really goes to shame. I think his first time out a chance to show it and, uh, really, really proud of what he was able to do, because he went for it the whole time, and we did exactly how we've been practicing. And how even preparing and, uh he handled was such such a cool, uh, overall mentality and all and, uh and he addressed We're just cooking and so Oh, I'm sorry. I said that just came. Scratch that dog on it. They were. They did really well together. That's out there. Parts out there, And in this world, it's going to come back at you again and again, Pete put Seattle does walk back to the coast with a victory indeed does not Their new quarterback Carson Wentz, through a couple of touchdowns, had a fumble loss. "Find a way to make it work as long as those things hold up. While the Giants were playing yesterday, of course bags we in the in house feed and NBC Sports Bay Area we can see video of, uh Wilmer Flores and Donovan Solano, both running sprints and Solano is just coming back from Covid. I think he's gonna go on a rehab. But the floor is one was really encouraging to me because I had read and kind of thought that you know this is a hamstring injury that, he said for months. This goes back to earlier in the year, they really never quite healed. But he looked like he was busting it. And what a cab Tell you guys yesterday. He may be available at the end of this this road trip. Yeah, they're thinking Sunday. They're targeting Sunday to activate him and, you know, obviously they're going to have some some questions because Cairo Street has been playing great. And and he's kind of been the Solano on this team. And, uh, you know, Stephen Duggar made a huge difference, in course, and he's kind of been the Alex Dickerson on this team. And Kapler was pretty adamant. We want these guys back who are on the injured list. We're not necessarily going to just, you know, go with the hot hand we want. These guys have done a lot of for us, and we want them back on the roster, so it's going to be tricky Math and then whenever they get around to a post season roster, that's going to be tricky to, um, but but you're right. Flores has been a guy who's been just a great weapon against lefties and pretty good against right handed pitching when they've had to use them, too. So I'm sure they'll welcoming backed on Sunday, assuming he doesn't have a setback. Thanks. Thanks. As always, We appreciate it. Enjoy Chicago and we'll talk to you next week. Okay, we'll do have a good one. You behave nice, So he's uh there's a There's a trail where you can work off the food. Sure. Bring an old style. Okay. It's not to eat with it, but they just wrap it in the paper. Yeah, you wanna do the pain is not like the price of Pittsburgh, where they throw the fries on two brothers. No, it's not that, but still, it's like, so the first thing you do is you get to Chicago and you just bite into this dog with like the sport peppers and green relish and all this stuff. And then you got these salty fries and like, then you're there, and I wouldn't even unwrap it. I think I need it right through their happy There was a smell so good. It was a place walking distance right around the corner for my grandparents house. That was the first thing my dad would drop everything. He was a big beer guy, and he would we would we get it. He'd get an old style. Just not because it's good beard, because that's what you did. Chicago, Chicago and we get an old style and he would get a dog and we'd sit out there and like some rickety table, you know, with a basket, and it would that that was our like within 20 minutes. That's what we're doing. That you've got. George George is all that he doesn't need you on Halloween. You make 1 49 trip this year Soldier Field following. Oh, October 29th Friday. These guys, these guys, I mean, Jean and George. Eddie's is the bigger I wasn't that impressed with that, But there, he knows he's from there. He's got to check this out in his muscle car that he's always Oh, yeah, crowing about So he's got to do. Yeah. You got to make that trip. Jan. October. 29th got to make that true. Yeah, that's done. Just decided. That's done. All right. Uh, 10 minutes from now we'll give you the foreplay. Included in that we've got some Kyle Shanahan yesterday was a spirited in the the first. Uh It was before practice, but we do have some information on the quarterbacks and other things, injuries and such. It's boy, It's really pretty. That's it's that simple. It really is. And you know the thing about it that I love is that And I really is that I've seen people that wait a year or so. And they listen to me and they listen to me. And then they finally call and they send me an email and they're like, Oh, man, I wish I listen to you earlier and I go. No, no, no, no, Don't look at it like that. You finally did it, And now now you have savings each month. If there's even a close if it's a close call at all go with these dynamic young players. They can get you all those yards. The grand you just told you about, and they'll grow into the job. Think about the best place in the league beat. Obviously the defense in Chicago, But you have a Super Bowl Ready team with Trey. Lance. I mean tree. Let's get him on that mean this team is going to the Super Bowl. This is the guy that they gave up. What five times in history that teams have given up three first round draft choices ever. How could you be speak more loudly? You don't want Virginia Garoppolo than to do that. So I mean, of all things to Trey Lance. He's got the best spot to land it and no question. I do want to talk about what Steve Young said. But I'm just crank it up. What Steve is saying, John, It's just a shadow way. That's right. Yeah, I started that deep, valuable. "Looking for copes, you could listen to intended to Filling in for Greg Papa joining John Lund. Plenty of Giants baseball talk this week. And this morning, John is preparing to welcome the Chicago Cubs to town cubs are red hot, really looking forward? Setting up that series tomorrow. I do. Anticipate as fun is the ballpark was when the Dodgers came to town and giant sands were out in about We saw more than 10,000 crowd consistently for the first time. Jazz lost all three of those games that they beat the Cubs this week and I do anticipate it will be a fun. Syriza's The atmosphere will be a lot better. As we go throughout the month of June. You more texts. 415 20 out that you know Mark Willard and I have that little beef about what is today the segment that he does each evening. You wanted to point out that today is nationally National Rotisserie Chicken Day National Rocky Road Day National Leave the office early day. Like I said, Willard will find any excuse to talk about what is today. I will find any excuse to avoid it altogether. So thank you for that text. Exactly. Six rivaled Schyman in for real. I can't take one more Matt Whistler appearance. We've seen enough. And look, I do think that we've reached the point where the Matt Wisler experiment the giant have had with the right hander who's really only had one good major league season. I think time could be running out here. I don't know this for certain. But I do know that the Giants have job Rabia rehabbing and Triple a Sacramento Very good former ST Louis Cardinals reliever who they believe can help them. In the middle of this summer middle of this season. So far, the rehab appearances have been good. They added. Dom Leone to the roster. They've already brought up Nick Tropeano. You look the last week and save for Whistler and save for the three run home run that Tyler Rogers allowed at Dodger Stadium. That really shouldn't have happened if you remember Play that took place that Marie Siobahn couldn't feel the double play ball. I think the Giants bullpen has been a lot better over the last week, and there's just been some scenarios where it hasn't quite played out according to plan one thing that I did want to get to before Murph and Mac joined me. To preview their show this morning. It's Lou Gehrig Day across Major League baseball for the very first time. Major League Baseball. Celebrate Lou Gehrig Day on June 2nd, and it carries historical significance because it is that day in 1941 80 years ago, the Yankees legend passed away. Ls. At the age of 37. Disease for which we do not have a cure, and many across Major League baseball are working for a cure. So one of the most famous speeches in the major leagues Luke Eric, today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the Earth. But I might have Thing given a bad break. I've got an awful lot to live for. Thank you. Course, that is a speech that transcends generations. And one that I am glad that Major league Baseball will recognize on June 2nd. Because LS has robbed us of so many lives. And has taken such a toll on society. And it is important that Major league baseball and Many other visible organizations step up and work to find a cure for this terrible, terrible disease, and so The Oakland A's or heavily involved in pushing for Lou Gehrig Day across major League baseball, in large part because Stephen Piscotty lost his mother. A last Remember a few years ago, when Stephen Piscotty was traded from the ST Louis Cardinals to the Oakland A's well he came home was able to spend a little time with his mother. Mother Aggression who died of a LS in May of 2018. And Stephen Piscotty was asked about his feelings about Major League baseball implementing Lou Gehrig Day across the league. And this is what the Oakland A's outfielder have to say. I'm not sure how I'm gonna feel from gonna be emotional whatnot, but I imagine all they'll be a lot of thoughts about my mom and Um, you know, really excited to celebrate Lou Gehrig and the man he was What a role model for for so many and somebody young, aspiring ballplayers..

"For Adam Copeland, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. If you're looking for your man copes well, he got the promotion to the big leagues, folks he's filling in for Greg Papa with John Lund. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week, so I will be in and when I'm in this seat that Adam Copeland usually sits in We almost always open the show talking San Francisco Giants baseball. There are first place team right now it is the most exciting. The Giants have been in at least five years and maybe more here in the Bay Area. But after Tuesday's clunker of a loss 81 to the Angels were to save our Giants talk for the next few segments, and we're gonna go into what I thought was really the most compelling sports story. Of the week. Thus far, it was Damian Lillard performance against the Denver Nuggets. On Tuesday night, Damian Lillard. Folks. I'm sitting in the press box and Oracle Park watching the Giants get trounced. And I have this new tradition where Ever since fans have come back in the ball park, one of my favorite things to do around the 2nd 3rd 4th inning. Let's go take a stroll around the stadium. Go check out the bleachers. Go walk behind the arcade. Look, look into McCovey Cove. See what's going on around the ballpark. I cannot get enough of it. It is tremendous have all the fans all the energy back inside Oracle Park and so The vast majority of home games this season. That's what I've been doing in the early innings going to say hi to people checking out the sights sounds scenes around Oracle Park. But I did not do that on Tuesday night because I was glued. To this Blazers Nuggets game. And for good reason. I think many of us were Lakers and the sons were just unwatchable. Last night is the Sun's won by 30. Chris Paul LeBron James both coming out of that game early for different reasons, although maybe LeBron James will say it's the same reason Paul was out with a shoulder injury. LeBron just disappeared during the fourth quarter, nowhere to be found. But again The Lakers and the sons were not the game that the entire national basketball audience was tuned into. It was Damian Lillard and his 55 points his NBA record, 12 Three pointers in a postseason game. What was most stunning about this performance was not the fact that Dame Lillard went off and the Blazers lost. We're accustomed to that we have seen Dame Lillard put a team on his back on Lee to lose many times. In fact, his postseason record again, Steph Curry. Oh, in 10, so we've seen it a lot through the years. What was most stunning. Was the way that the Denver Nuggets defended Dame Willard at the end of this basketball game. Michael Malone, head coach of the Denver Nuggets, is extraordinarily lucky. With the way that this game played out because He not only left Dame Willard Covered man to man at the end of the game. With a three point lead in the opportunity to Fallon, sending the line for two once he did it twice. He got away with leaving Daimler and open at the end of a basketball game. Regulation and in the first of two overtimes. His team picked him up. And that happens when you have Yokich the M V P That happens when no one else on the Blazers is showing a pulse in overtime. My goodness. How do you let that happen? To me. That's the story of the game. It is as much about Dame Willard scoring 55 12 3 pointers, one of those deficient shooting performances you will ever see in an NBA postseason game. 55 on 24 shots. 12 for 17 from three One of the best big game shooters in the history of basketball, or the best big moment shooters in the history of basketball, and you've got M P. J on him. At the end of regulation of the end of overtime. At least double him, at least for someone else to beat you. C. J. McCollum was having a terrible game got dribbled out of bounds and double overtime. How was he? Not the one with the ball in his hands. Damian Lillard 52 minutes on the floor. 55 points, one turnover. How? How does the man who is on the floor for 52 points? With the ball in his hands nearly every single play. Dish with one turnover that is on coaching. That is his much of Dame Lillard spectacular performance and superhuman effort. As it is on the Denver Nuggets, just saying Come and beat us. We're gonna stick to our own defensive game plan, and it did not work. 140 points, folks. It's a bad game. But the Nuggets have enough talent to overcome the Nuggets air really deep. They've got guys out there bench coming on and scoring 20 points. Blazers do not have that. Blazers have Lillard, sometimes McCollum and that's about it, C. J. McCollum postgame said. It's a shame that we wasted one of the best performances that you'll ever see. And, yeah, It is everyone in that Trail Blazers locker room. Should feel that way. Even Yokich on the other side of the floor. After watching what Littler did. His coach, getting away with an abomination of a strategy at the end of the game. Yokich tipped his cap. It was a pleasure on the court to witness that. I mean, how often does an opposing player admit that it was a pleasure to witness That type of a performance. Well, when your teammates score two points on one for four shooting in overtime and double overtime, that's how becomes a pleasure. No gets new. The only player that could hurt the Denver Nuggets their chances of going head 32 in that series was named Willard. And yet the Nuggets were still able to survive in advance there. Steph Curry tweeted at Daimler. That's all I have to say. Katie. Was just tremendous on social media As he has been for much of his NBA career. Kevin Durant tweeting I had like four tweets. I wanted to write to describe this All caps masterpiece by Damian Lamantia Ali Lillard Sr But I am seriously at a loss for words. That's pretty awesome when you've got one of the best pure scorers in NBA history. Using Damian Lamantia Ali Lillard senior in a tweet. That tells you what kind of night you had at the gym. Kevin Durant..

Kevin Durant Damian Lillard Michael Malone Damian Lamantia Katie Steph Curry Adam Copeland Greg Papa John Lund 55 LeBron McCollum Dame Willard Tuesday night 52 points Dame Lillard LeBron James Wednesday 20 points San Francisco Giants

You do know, but the devil's always in the details and a lot of this. You don't know. So for this whole debate of whether they were in on Mack Jones the whole time and switched to Trey Lance, it was basically they were in entree lands and they were in entree land so He gives a John Lynch gives us the details when they knew when he spoke with Kyle, where Chiyo was what guy was doing what they were doing. When they went down there. Just a lot of really fun. Good details. This is John Lynch this morning on with Cris Collinsworth on the Collinsworth podcast. Take a listen. It was like a Sunday night I had misspoke earlier. I thought he was in Cobb. Oh, easy there in Kabul or in San Diego In the off season, he was in San Diego near me. Actually, we're 10 Miles away, but him calling me and saying, Hey, John, this tray Lance and I was really excited because I was a fan of trays, but he's like, I can't stop watching it. I think there's a natural rhythm and time. Mean to his game as a passer, and he talked about all these things that even talk about the running element to his game for 15 minutes, And then he says, and on top of it, have you seen this guy run the ball and I Yeah, I have and the natural running instincts and so I could tell he was excited and he had made a cut up and he sent it to me that night, And then I couldn't go to bed because I'm up studying his cut and the cut up to have its comments and all and I'm reading the comments. I could tell. I know Kyle well enough. Now he was super excited Now, after that, we kind of committed to look, you know, we we've got to see this process through. We have to look at all the options. We've never seen trade myself for Kyle in person. He only played really one year and I never went out and watched him We hadn't gone to a pro day or anything. So we said, we have to let this process and give the process it's do we have to hear from our old scouting staff, but You know, it's not like us because we're usually incredibly inclusive in terms of asking everyone's opinion and all that we wanted that, But we usually you know, somehow tip off, everyone kind of what we're thinking on this one. We felt it was really important. Like No one can know what worth making because otherwise, we're not going to get their true opinions, and we respect a lot of people in our business. So Kyle and I kind of said this is our deal, and we were in entree early, but we like a guy like Mack Jones. There was all kinds of talk back played out of his mind. I mean, his year last year, it was near flawless and the way he played the position, and I know a lot of people had thoughts on. You know that's way too high for a guy like that. But You know? Did we give it consideration? Sure. We gave all those guys Justin fields. There's so much to like about his game. But trey from an early early on in the process Kind of was the favorite. But we wanted to hear from everyone. We did that. And, you know, when Carl said that far be it from us to stop the rumors, you know, And there were people close to Kyle that we're saying it and so I think everyone just assumed it was true. And it is pretty incredible. You know, in today's day and age. I'm just I'm not passing judgment. I'm just making a comment. There's people have no problem just making stuff up, you know, because they wanna be first. There used to be something called journalistic integrity, where you check multiple sources, and there's no consequence for being wrong these days. Well, you know, we took a shot. It's kinda like in broadcast are married. Goran used to say, you know. Called, you know. Take be bold Call a play. You know if it doesn't happen, no one will ever to remember. Well, that's how it is. Gotta be like with breaking news, social relationships and people were taking shots and we weren't going to stop it. And so this kind of moment, Um, came and people are saying it was coming out of our building..

Joins us courtesy of the room. A guest sign. Hi, John. You ever try avocado ice cream? And would you know if you okay? I like them separate. Yeah, you too. That's a good point does not sound good. Let's start with this. You've written some great pieces talking about the rules. We know. Seven inning doubleheaders is back. Run around. Second is back. But what do we need to know for the for the 2021 season as far as the rules Wow. Gosh, Where do we start on? Feel their off field. I mean, on the field. You're right. Seven Indian doubleheaders. Theo Extra inning rule where you go? I just Appears out of nowhere, and there's a second base to begin the 10th, 11th and 12. Old calves. No Universal D H for now, Um, which is really weird, Because when the last time any of these pictures have picked up a bat, and in spring training, how much time will they get in the cage? Probably none. You're going to see a lot of just standing and walking back to the dugout. And that's a bargaining chip. I mean, the reason we're not having a universal Dhmh last year, they said it was for health and safety right because you know that they wanted to limit the amount of time people. Hung out at the ballpark well, Pictures to hit. They have to get there early. So let's just wipe that out entirely have a universal B h. Plus, it wasn't about, you know, West teams playing in all West teams. It was about West Coast teams playing West Coast teams so Uh, there were no leagues really, until the very end. So there's there's no D H rule. And right now there's no um expanded playoffs. Oh, that hurts the Giants in a number of ways, because well, eh? Last year. They benefited because they were in the race all the way down to the final day, even though there were 29 31 because there were 16 playoff teams and now until further notice, there are 10, which in a division with San Diego in L. A Uh, doesn't look good to put it. Mildly with with with with DHS. I mean, hey, they got four second basement so they would have loved to have the extra man in the line up to it so we might see a trade. With one of these guys or I mean it was a way to put Wilmer floors in there, Darren rough guys who aren't necessarily elite defensive players. All right. I think the last to the first two that you mentioned is seven inning double headers and the runner at second that's already been agreed to. The other ones are obviously negotiating chips because, two weeks ago as you wrote, the owners proposed expanded playoffs and the universal th table the Universal G H over here for a minute. I think they expanded playoffs is really key. And I you know you're you're mentioned it. I think it's essential for the Giants chances to go to post season. If you go back to five, and you have just one division winner and two wild cards last year was two teams in each division plus two extras. So it was 16. Eight in each league. And what I read is 14. Howard 14 work, John. And would you just, You know one wild card? Why would it be configured differently? How would that work? And ultimately, what do you think the endgame is? And when do we find out? Do we find out by opening day? What's going on here? Yeah. Probably be three wild card because you have Six division winners. Um and you know, three plus three. Uh, that's uh, well, that's only 12. Yeah, the two the two 6 12? Yes. So maybe one wildcard in each of the top two teams, you know, either way. That's what the owners proposed, and last year was 16..

"Greg Papa and John Lund continues. You're among your Google home Smart speaker by saying Play K NPR Here's the pitch. Stella with the walk off when he was of the Angels moves over to the A's, and now he crosses the bridge and he is a member. Of the Giants, and Tommy joins us, courtesy of the My guess line. First of all, Tommy. Thanks for joining us. Welcome. Well, you've already been in the bay, so welcome crossing the bridge over to San Francisco. My first question is so when spring training starts do you go up to Trevor gotten? Go Sorry about that, bro. Or is it just It happens, man, You've got some great stuff, and I'll be honest. All I was trying to do. There was not bouncing. You don't play with Mike on deck so Lucky You got one in the air, but, yeah, he's got a great stuff. Congratulations to you. And welcome to the Bay Area, And we remember that fateful Monday night. Well, when you hit the walk off, and that was a pitch, you know, down a little bit in the strike zone. I do want to start with your your contract and mainly The annual donations you're going to make to the Giants Community Fund. I mean 10,000 his first year 26 250 and 2022 57,500. Right away. And like your contract, it does stair step up. Just tell me about why that was important for you to do right out of the chute, Tommy. Sure. Yeah, well, the team approached me with it. Um, and I knew immediately have something. I want to be a part of it. Maybe I don't have all the details yet is Theo you know where the funds are gonna be going, But I am looking forward to being involved in Um, connecting with the people who are going to be spearheading these efforts and learning more about it. Formula. Stella joining us one of the newest giants, so it must be nice for you, though you did come over in a trade, obviously, from the angels to the AIDS, so I don't know how settled you got, But then all you have to do now is is cross the bridge. How nice is that? Yeah, that's great. I love the area. Um, unfortunately, last year didn't get to see as much of it is I would've hoped, But you know, coming over here over the years being the National League always really enjoyed the area. We'll get an opportunity to explore it a little bit more, but, yeah, I'm really excited about No ace fans were crushed. That whole week is Marcus Semien and just last right around the same time to go play for the Blue Jays, and I think the A's fans were hoping because they enjoyed what you did there and saw you Against them with the Angels in the American League West. Did you have any conversation with with Billy and a force their bars far customers coming back to the ace? Um During the all cities and, you know, I left that just tol my agent, But after the season had ended with spoken briefly, just be a text. Um they thanked me and You said that they would love to have me and you know that we would be in touch as far as you know any offseason contact Now, that was pretty much just left my agent. So tell me, what do you envision is as your role with the Giants. Yeah. Hopefully, a little bit of everything. Hopefully somebody you can play multiple positions. Um, get on base. Oddball little bit, Um, keep the ball in play. Keep the strikeout slow, I think His party. You guys in the lineup who have been around for a long time. Got a lot of success, so hopefully something of the table center for those guys. Firing was saying with the Brandon Belt surgery on the hell he may not be able to make opening day and he mentioned your ability to play first base. You can play obviously second base and you can play. Third. How much shortstop have you played and your your career and is second base your best and most natural position. Um It's tough to say I I really feel comfortable at 1st 2nd and 3rd. I hadn't played My short. Um, but, yeah, I'm comfortable with the other three positions. On. Do you know, flipping over the first base? If friends not ready to goes, certainly won't be a problem. Formula. Stella's Jonas News giant here on the SportsCenter. So a couple of things Farhaan Anxiety, definitely said that he was absolutely obsessed with your strikeout to walk right, which he absolutely loves. But he also said yesterday that you and Gabe Kapler hit it off so well that he's worried you're going to cut into his phone time with Gabe Capital. So what was what Z? What was what was the reason why you would engage got off so well? Man. He's Ah, yeah, I really enjoyed talking to him. We had a couple lengthy conversations, um, on a number of things, but He's very thoughtful. Um, he's a progressive thinker, which which I like and Give you something a little bit differently And ultimately for me, it was You know, some of the I felt like I could learn from and that was important in this decision for me. Hey, not sitting really Well, if your times I've interacted with him, he's really impressive that way, So he's gonna help you as a hitter, But you're already a really good hitter. And John mentioned the strikeout to walk ratio is just really impressive. You don't you know the modern game is just let it Let it fly. And you don't worry so much about strikeouts, But your hand eye coordination. Your ability to put the ball in play is so impressive, but you know, a few years ago in 2019 with the Angels you did hit 16 home runs and you know when you add it all up last year, double digits as well. So do you feel like, you know, being around Gabe and the way that they teach hitting here? You're not going to lose any of the you know, contact ability, but you'll be able to drive the ball even a little bit more. Just give me your thoughts about that. That balance between not striking out putting the ball in play but still having the ability to strike back and hit the ball out of the ballpark. Yeah, I certainly hope so. I think for me, I kind of let the flow of the at bat dictate my approach. Um, and also the guy on the mound and the situation. Um, it doesn't always feel like every That is a time to try and drive the ball. Um not that I'm not trying to do that. But I do like the count and the game situation kind of dictates What? I'm going to take a shot like that, Um, guys out there. He's got good stuff. I don't see the ball particularly well out of his hand. You know, I don't see it benefiting me to be taking on a swing and trying to drive the ball. I think the likelihood of that starts toe to go down in those situations. So in those instances, I'm more looking to put the bat on the ball. Barrel it and hopefully find the outfield grass somewhere. But I also think that you know an advantage counts being able to pick my moments and get my a swing off and you know, being able to play every day over the last two years has allowed me to get back to that. I think you know pinch hitting for those four years in Chicago was definitely a different approach. But Being able to be out there every day getting 45 babies. Had had help with that. We're speaking with Tommy Lowe. Stella signed with the Giants officially yesterday. What was it like out there in a pandemic being a free agent, and then I would assume you want to get things going. Obviously, there's discussions of may be pushing things back, which, what's your view on on one baseball is gonna get going. I mean, also, we were on track. You know all that stuff about my pay grade, but, you know, hopefully we're good to go. I'd say you know, this offseason was Difficult just with, you know all the uncertainty,.

Giants lefty Alex Woods going to join us at 12 30 make an appointment for that. We just finished up a conversation with Sarah Bar shop. She was She covers the Texans for ESPN, and we're gonna have some more just on watching. I know you've been talking a lot about him lately. And this just comes across from Adam Schefter, Speaking of the NFL bathroom homes cleared certain steps Monday, quote unquote some big steps, but he remains in the NFL's concussion protocol with what is considered a concussion. It's too early to say he will definitely play in Sunday's conference championship, versus the Bills per sources. Because they they're they're not going to postpone this game. I mean, I heard this morning The people were saying, Well, you can't play back home. So of course you can. I mean, that's just the way it goes. If you're hurt, you're hurt. Doesn't matter the year if he couldn't play. It wasn't like it's not like they wouldn't play the game. But look, I give a ton of credit to Chad Henny without a couple of plays that he made. Kansas City probably is not in this position, but Look, I'd like to see him play. I like to see all these guys playing full strength. I know in Kansas City beat San Francisco last year in the Super Bowl, but I want to see Patrick Holmes play He's playing. I'm almost I'm almost sure of it. The fascinating side of this to me. Is kind of a Vegas angle where I was confident that this would be off the board when when things launched yesterday because we didn't know Patrick would play. Obviously, that's a that's a point spread mover. If he's playing or not, Don't you think the bills would be favored if you knew he was out? And if he is favored or if he is playing, aren't they favored by Maura than how it came out? It it it opened it. Three. It's moved today to 2.5. I feel like they just probably knows what's going to go on on dwelled. We sort of don't the indications are that he'll play but isn't it if he's going to play and the numbers 2.5? Are we saying on a neutral field, the bills are better than the chief's. It's a weird dynamic right now, but Kurt Warner came out today said he texted with Patrick Patrick told him he's good to go. The Chiefs are planning him for him to practice tomorrow. He's already cleared the first stage. Of concussion protocol. We're not even sure if he has a concussion. That was a really weird, weird injury, whether it was a nerve concussion. Apparently, there's a foot thing, too. But anyway, whatever is going on It sounds to me like it's tracking tour playing, and I'm with you, like, Let's see it. Let's see Mahomes versus Josh Allen. This is what we signed up for. Yeah, yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I think both games gonna be great this weekend. As far as the Shawn Watson again. I know that Everybody's talking about it. Everybody wants to put him in a 40 Niners uniforms in the Bay Area for a great young quarterback who's 25 years old, and she put up a great point. Which was? Look. Does the Shawn Watson want to go to another team? Yeah, this to Shawn Watson don't want to go to another team. That then has has given up so much that maybe they're not in contention. Because my first thought is look is great is a nick Bosa is if you wanna throw Nick in and the number one. I do it. If you want to throw in Fred Warner and a number one. I do it. That's how big the quarterback position is. Because if I'm Houston, and this is why I laugh again betrayed when all these guy all these teams like, you know, Houston gets all these pics back because of James Harden or okay, see, gets all these pics when the trade that they made Those are lottery tickets. And if you're at the end of the draft, they're not even good lottery tickets so you could trade to Shawn Watson for three number ones. But I'm not trading a 25 year old quarterback for three lottery tickets. You got to give me somebody back. You gotta give me a young, great player back. So let's say I'm calling the 40 Niners. Nic Vos is the first name that comes out of my mouth and a number one pick or Miami is the one that makes sense to me because they have the third pick. They have a quarterback that would come replace my guy and they have a 2nd 1st round pick this year that you've got to get something. In addition of two lottery tickets So the dish on Watson's that good, he's 25 years old. He's one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Well, I agree. Now remember a few things in this dynamic aid to Shawn's got a no trade clause. So he's gonna have some say as far as where he goes, which is really, really important, and we've already got one report that maybe he's got eyes for Miami. I don't know what Miami really thinks about two, a tongue of my lowest, so that's That's part of the equation as well. But you said it if I'm Houston, I'm not only looking for picks and players because by the way, remind her they've got no first and no second this year. Their first pick is 63. If you're new regime coming in, don't you want some pics? Especially with the salary cap lowered? You're going to need that cheap labor. I think they'd love to have some pics. But my number one question is Wolf. We destroy it if we tried to Sean, who's our quarterback? Well, this is one of the reasons I've been on this so much. Their new GM is Nicholas Ario. He drafted Jimmy Garoppolo. He's been the Patriots player personnel guy for 12 years. If I'm the 40 Niners. I don't know if this is enough to get it done. But if you call the taxes and you can offer Jimmy and your next three ones I would do that I would do that. And I I wonder if they might be, um, wooed by that, especially if to Sean says Here's three teams I'll go to in the 40. Niners are one of them. Which might be the case. So look, there's a lot of ifs in there. But to me, that's realistic offer. I do start to clam up a little bit. When you mentioned the names both on Warner, I agree with you. It's not that I disagree with you. But That would be hard. It would be really hard to part with either of those guys and I agree with you 100%. But I guess what I'm saying is, if I'm Houston, I have a situation that is so unique and that I've got a 25 year old who's not even in his prime. He's exactly what everybody is looking for. Now. He's got every trait you could you could possibly want. He's not a bad guy. He just doesn't like the situation which I don't 100% respect. But he is, by all means from what everybody says A good guy is a good word, right? He's 25 years old. He can throw it. He can run he can get into a shoot out. He's has playoff experience. This guy's gonna be your quarterback for the next 10 to 12 years. I love Nicholas. I love Fred Warner. But you've got to have a quarterback you trust in the building. And I think with Kyle, you look at that. You think cheese, but what you pointed out. It's perfect. Because if if for some reason they loved Jimmy, they said, Well, jeez. Then we don't have to take a quarterback. I know it makes Jimmy tick. And the nineties give up three number ones, then to Shawn Watson saying, Okay, I go to a team that's still a Super Bowl contender because look during the season I got told to say injuries, injuries injuries, But the reality is it's injuries. Now look, and this offseason they have a ton to do to sign guys. But I have confidence in this front office, and I think they'll bring the right guys back now. It does hurt that solid gets that job of the jet because they don't have a full back is just gonna go there. You know, there's certain places he'd go. You know that That's gonna be problematic..

These offensive lines are really good. So Something to look for tonight for? Yeah, There's so much talent on the field tonight. I'm excited. I love that. We get six games over the weekend, and then we get a national championship on Monday. It's amazing. I think it's shit without question. The three best days of football viewing ever. I mean to have three Playoff games and Saturday come back with three more on Sunday and then on Monday in a roll out a BCS national championship game, College football and I'm the college football season's weird but these clean chemical the argument. These are not the two best teams. Especially after what Ohio State did to Clemson. So in Alabama's just every year, you think that's the best Alabama team I've ever seen. And now this team with Mack Jones a quarterback, and now she Harris to run cross check with a huge piece on him over the weekend in the Chronicle. D telling him and he's got his far is yards from scrimmage. He's passed him all. Shaun Alexander, Bobby Humphrey, Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry Trent Richardson T. J. Yeldon. He sees the He's the best running back in the history of Alabama. I'm not leaving, you know, getting going back to when he was younger Chess. Jacobs was a better player out of the adult translate into the NFL. But natural Harris is really matured and becoming a big part. So we'll be watching him. He's a bear you guy from any act. Last game, Chris Babcock and the money Vista Mustang. Shut him down. Kinda. They beat him, but it was it was a shootout, but anyway Um So did you watch the Nickelodeon broadcast it all? Yes. Did you get slimed? You know my seat to watch. You know what's interesting about it. I didn't have any idea. Error. At least I had for gotten, and then George comes over and he was watching it on his phone, and he was laughing. They said, What do you watch? And he said, I'm watching the broadcast on Nickelodeon. So we threw it on. And first of all, I thought that no eagle And especially Nate Burleson were so good because obviously it's a totally different audience and make references. So when something happens, it's pretty elementary. What you say, and they're making references like well, It's like it. Recess or it's like when you have detention or like and then the slime touchdowns and the little Sheldon coming up When you know, though, it's offsides. What does that mean? I mean, I think it's genius. I don't know how much it'll help. I don't know what the ratings will be on it, but you know for for kids teaches them the game. I don't know if it'll end up working, but I thought it was. It was a pretty good idea. And I thought it was kind of funny, too. Who was the young lady that was in the middle of no ego? And Nate Burleson? She on the entire game, or just the one part that I watched, you know, she was on the whole time except for half time in the you know, they were kind of breaking down what was happening, But I think she was probably some Nickelodeon personality that they some of the kids relate to. I didn't mean she obviously didn't have much, but it was. I mean, I thought it was pretty ingenious to give it a shot, Would you? Yeah, they're trying to grow an audience there. Which tells you that the NFL is worried about you know, young people aren't playing football out of high school programs getting scrapped and Because of the concussion situation. It's just you got to reach out to him in a younger way. If they're not going to actually gonna be playing it so that they talked about it a lot. And you know, Sean Payton got slimed after they won the game, and there was a lot of fun elements to it. The bottom line is I don't know if you saw the numbers, but NFL ratings were down. They were down a lot this year 7%. Some of the shows were down more. The only time I can recall the ratings going down was the 2016 year, and it also spilled in 17. The presidential election was a big part of that, Colin capper, Nick and him demonstrating of like it or not, people, the ratings went down. I don't know why they went down this year. You would think that they would go up. In light of our all you know, quarantine, less people. The stadium I don't know why I'm in the N B. A. You could have an understanding why the numbers went down. Baseball stood well compared to the NBA, but football's got to be a concern. My football one down the one thing I would ask Mike Pereira..

"And finished with 2097 on Lee. Eight yards, Dickerson and then I know for a fact. Polly, I can joke, John always get Terrell Davis. Did Dave got? Hey, copes. As far as I'm concerned, we're almost done with this. This is like you just be like Draymond. You just feed the ball to Steph. Yeah, Don't Don't look, Don't come off your picture will just stand there. Four of the eight Eric Dickerson. Adrian Peterson wanted to use like that said he was gonna do it. It isn't there. O. J. Simpson, number eight. That's three. And then you also not too Terrel Davis, number six, So there's there's four left, and one of them is very obvious because it's yesterday. Right, Right. Okay, So so their cameras, Eric, and now we're down to three guys. Who's that other dude? Jamal, not Jamal Anderson. Maybe not. You know what? I can't remember that Jamal Jamal Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens said he was gonna do it like cold, and then he did it. 2066. He's actually third all time. The last 21 is obscure, and one is an all time Hall of Famer. That LaDainian Tomlinson. Well, one is in all to some would say the greatest running back of all time. Very Sando. Sando department is the other one. How about this? Sanders, the other one of Titan. Dude you copes Finished. Johnson is a C J to K is home. Hold smokes. Wow, What a great That's a good one. Chris Johnson in 2009, Tennessee. Time. It's a great list. That's a very good one. Adrian Peterson to Jamal Lewis three. Barry Sanders for Derrick Henry 5 12 Davis. Six. Chris Johnson, 70. J. Simpson ate the two that I think would always get people would be Chris Johnson and Jamal Lewis. We should go. One school. I think I remember that happened 2009 for screenwriters in 20 or three for Jamal Lewis. I'm gonna take a guess here too, because we're just talking a rap sheet about great running backs and they don't usually get the M v P even if they deserve it, like is the juice the on Lee M. V P on that list. Great question did very different. Everybody he must have. He must have. But I can't be real quick if you want. I know we're late on the clock. We could get to the city you have to. And I'm just assuming that O. J. Simpson was the m V P ants, everything. There's no way he couldn't have been a VP and 73. I mean, he had to have been 1973 0 J. Simpson was the MVPs you had to have been otherwise toward a world that was truly BP from 73 Peyton, one in 77, Earl Campbell and 79, Marcus Allen and 85. Thurman, Thomas and 91. We go, Dammit Smith and 93, Barry Sanders and 97, Terrell Davis and 90 eight's. That's two right there. Marshal Foch in 2000 and Shaun Alexander in 05, Adrian Peterson and 12 piece of three of those Peterson Uh, Peterson, Davis, Sanders and O. J. R all But Dickerson Dickerson did not get it Dickerson and get it. So four of the eight For the 8. 48 came. Yeah. There you go. Great stuff. Yeah. Congrats. Derrick. Henry. Good. Thank you Cope. Stouffer nail on the names on the list. That's what I'm talking about. I want to shake your head copes culture inspiring a segment with the horns and the Murphy back Show is Come on its 2021. You thought this guy was going away? O'Donnell Financial. That's right. Oh Donald Financial Group, because planning is a process for loans, insurance, investments and retirement. "The recognizable boy of Greg Papa twenty one years. On the Oakland Raiders radio network Why, do you care why are we playing, the highlight of a marshawn Lynch. Touchdown well because this surprising news drop on Thursday, this actually caught me by, surprise there isn't a whole lot that does. In sports especially not in sports media but this one did the Oakland Raiders dump Greg Papa as their radio play by play voice the signature call touchdown or eight hours In his place they hire Brent Musburger Brent Musburger I mean we all know the. Voice of Brent Musburger The guy seventy nine years old And he left to college football to start a channel on. Sirius XM that's sports betting channel it's. Called Vegas sports and information network It's about sports betting which. He generally did work. Into conversation on pretty much every broadcast He spent seventeen years at CBS twenty-seven years at ESPN he did NFL as well as. College football also college basketball before retiring in two thousand seventeen and going to Las Vegas Oh I guess he's bored Because now he's back as the new play by play. Voice, of the Oakland Raiders This is This, is amazing and I don't mean amazing as an I just mean amazing as in what a turn. Of events Two decades Greg Papa and the raiders usher I'm out now. I don't know if it's because they really. Wanted breath Brent Musburger and convinced him to, be part of, their network or if they found out Musburger was interested I have no idea which domino dropped I Only that Brent Musburger is. Back And with. The, raiders soon moving to Vegas oh That seems easy meeting. Tidy I hope that Papa finds another job in the NFL. Or in play by play Quickly hope it ever to sit out, the season I mean we're close right we're close, to the beginning of. "Do anything with him I think when he's one hundred percent and he knows he is that's when you'll see him on the court that could be. Halfway, through. The season yeah, exactly I think we're I think at best we're looking at maybe the end of December and I. Think warriors team again he's really just gravy to already a historically. Great team dominant team so if they have to wait all the way till after, the all star break. They, will do that now if, you, get boogie, cousins even let's say fifty to seventy five percent of what he was, that is extremely frightening thought. Even Seventy-five percent boogie cousins is fantastic especially in the postseason, I get. You but seventy five percent coming off an. Achilles I think that's a lot to ask for as well so we don't know exactly what kind of player we're going to get with the Marcus. Camby, are. Is the number, so yeah we're going to be talking with karnal attornal coming up in just a couple of minutes. And then at the end of the hour we're gonna talk to. Matt maiocco I do want to at some point get to the Mark Davis statement, he made about letting. Greg, Papa Gautam floors was let, go as well, so the entire broadcast for the raiders games going to be very interesting, next year As a raider fan and talking to raider fans that away Cambier isn't. It Mark, is Mark making it a little bit difficult for you to root for this team as. They have their last little bit here in, the bay area is making it. Difficult to be a raider fan because, I think he is for me. Anyways as much as I do bleed that team and I love the. Raiders since I was a child when they came back in the mid ninety s I mean What do you want me to? Do Mark you're giving away home game so they can go play across the water. In London I mean just the way that you've you've acted in Las Vegas Why why why can't you go get? A guy that's yours why do you have to go get, Brent Musburger a name if you wanted to get rid of Papa which is going to irritate the fan base because irradiates me and Flora's why can't you bring, on a guy and go through tapes of play by play broadcasts then have your guy instead of Musburger who I don't even? Know has has he ever. Even done in a on the radio and I was really. Frustrating it's, we're going to be really frustrated root for this team This year I'm going to of course but I? Just want to know raider fans away can't? Be are is he may get difficult he's not make I, don't think he's making it easy for me to go out and buy my ticket to a raider game it really is not I mean again the way that, he acts when he's in Vegas and the what what he says was in Vegas we've waited so this is so great this? Is this is slap in. The face tussin the East Bay I that's how I feel Roll around you. Stupid, bubble bubble top van Got it drives me crazy let's go to a nightgown Oakland before we get to Connor What a night now you can call me dragon Hey dragon how are you man Wasn't a Nighthawk stepbrothers. Who's, Nighthawk, was Nighthawk and? Jade It's night. Out okay yes, no, your night out yes go ahead I'm night Al hey, but I on the on. The raiders, and the whole Greg Papa in that, deal you know this is just another club by them but anyway The reason, I, called is to tell all athletes that are you know, thinking about dating a porn. Star during, all star week when the dentist week, in sports Think again man you don't think, we would, be talking about this if it was I don't know the middle of the NFL DS No You do it during, the, hey, Jimmy g. when the warriors are in the, finals take her, out Kostanic won't be you know top.
