"Whenever I hear the sign mentioned before when we played, But one of those moments that like if you're Chicago sports fan and you go to a bears games, the Oh my God! Let's all stand as one. And let's watch what this dude's going to do Right now He's dancing. He's getting the crowd into it. Ready to go kick off for catch Aponte. He was must see television in Chicago. Sports. Yeah, no doubt. Yeah, And then like on the poll question today, then I'm going to introduce the contest. I brought up my number 18th rated Cobb of all time. I'm doing this on. We've got to give out the great clips. Gift card. I'll do that here in a minute. As well. But every Tuesday and Thursday, courtesy of great clips. I'm going to name another player on my all time. Top 20 cubs waste. This isn't my favorite. This is who I deem the top 20 cubs of all time by doing some research and everything like that, with some obvious bias is that I'm admitting upfront like today at 18 I put Jake Arianna. It's like I left on. I did not put pragmatics in my less Greg Maddux did win a Cy Young But so did Jake and Jake pitched less for the Cubs, then Greg Maddux, but Jake Areata was dominant. Like more dominant than many cubs players have ever been over a year span. Wouldn't you agree? Watto? Oh, gosh. He was That's the most dominant stretch of baseball. I've seen anyone play. I don't care if you're you're a first baseman. You're a fantastic relief pitcher or stop. That's the most dominant performance over a stretch I've seen in baseball, probably in the last 25 years. And then what? I was thinking when you were just bringing up Devin Hester about like campus stuff. Other than Michael Jordan. Like what? What is what we've been given? What is we always talk about money on the table time? So money in the bank. What is money in the bank? Money in the bank is Michael Jordan at the end of a game? You know what I mean? Like, Hey, the Bulls are up against it. Michael Jordan time money in the bank. And you knew Michael was going to make you win and live happily ever after. Like other than that. Can you name any thing else in Chicago sports history, then that was more money in the bank than that year and 1/2 stretch of Jake area. You could say like I know Patrick Kane's had an awesome career, but we've had many post season runs where we've been like. Hey, dude, where's Patrick Kane? You know, he's in score next amount of games, and he's been awesome on Hall of Fame player, one of the all time great players, but I'm just saying every fifth day new in that period, the Jake areata was goingto win a baseball game for the It was crazy. Like I said, I mean, it's not an exaggeration to say he was the modern day. Bob Gibson for a stretch. Yes. Oh, we remember to continue to file that the top 20 greatest cubs of all time presented by great clips right now, Let's give away to call or 20 A $50 gift card to great clips that I have to do is be called 20. "I told paulie if he googled Greg Maddux on the mound getting excited, then you understand. I don't think I've ever seen that from another player on the mound or on the baseball field wasn't wearing a Cup. No. He was not and. I just can't imagine what Greg Maddux would have been thinking about on the mound during a game. You went from six to midnight. Hearing a game. Yes. He did. Yes. He did. I couldn't find any pictures. And also, I didn't want to take too much into my computer. Mark Gracia good looking guys. Not that good looking paid thirty grand for fritzy's computer, fixes over the we'd want to do mine. Yes. It's like the adult version of being in middle school calls you up to the blackboard or and you're like, oh, no right now, you're climbing a rope in gym class. Oh, no right now, I have to go can bring my trapper keeper my trapper keeper. Have you had the conversation with your son about the birds and the bees? Oh, yeah. He knows. Oh, you have to. Okay knows everything. He knows right now. He's about a year in now. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Although he did wake me up one morning few years ago. He got up and my wife sleep in a little bit. So I use go downstairs and make coffee, and he's there in his underwear. And he's like dead you ever have it. Where your peeps doesn't go down. Yeah. Money happens all of us. Really? Yeah. Paul the worry about it. I remember my wife kept saying, you gotta have a conversation with our son. You gotta gotta have the conversation. I said the you reference. Greg Maddux on the mound and eighty seven. Now. I go down. I said, hey, come on we got downstairs, and then we go downstairs in any. He goes would we're going to have the talk. And he said, yeah, he goes I wanted to just say that you gave me the talk. And then we'll go back upstairs. All right. I said, well, we got to spend like fifteen or twenty minutes down there. So we actually were in the same room. But we were on our phone like we were doing different things. And then all of a sudden got together. And then walked upstairs, my mind could go I said great. Yeah. It's great. He's he knows what's going on here. Yes. He my son one day. There's this. Ed Sheeran song that says last night you were in my room. Now, my bedsheets smell like you. Yeah. And he said sort of under spread this is a dirty. Song and my wife, and I were like, what do you mean, buddy? And he was just like do you know what they're talking about. And we're looked at each other really know, we'll what do you think they were talking about and he made this hand motion. And he goes, you know, they were. And it was kissing and we're like, okay. So big deal. He's not that in about a year later. He was just like you guys really know what they're talking about. What this song because he heard it again. I said no what and the hand motion changed more to like a writing away. And we were like, oh, dear. He's in it. He knows what's he's like jets elder brother told us. What it really means? We decided to have the talk with them right there in that moment to make sure he wouldn't get in bad information. It's it's always somebody's older brother that starts to tell you. They can ruin it. And then all of a sudden, they tell you things, and then they don't even have their facts. Correct. And then you grow up going..

"Remember, Greg Maddux, Tom glavin Chipper Jones. And I remember Chipper Jones and the show you how the money in. That was unbelievable then like, okay, get ninety million dollars guaranteed. And so we're gonna we're gonna celebrate all come on. What I have to pay anything. You just gotta guaranteed contract. You know, what's crazy? Then you get into conversation. You know, having fun that what you sign that contract, and you show up and you participating that you game can go to pot. I mean, you could strike out the rest of your life make era after era and Bryce Harper still getting that now you have too much leeann tweeden, you have too much pride and ego. That will never happen. Here's the deal. Bobby these I understand baseball the economics make it work when you're signing this long, and the regional television contracts, but these deals usually end up being no good for the teams that sign them. Whether it's Robinson canot or Alex Rodriguez, Albert PU wholesome either I mean, those those are the best players in the league has it. Never. I think there's a mixed bag there. I think some teams have bought a championship the Yankees. If you look in past not saying, no you could. That's why I always cheer for the Kansas City. Royals underdogs payroll matters, absolutely matters. You always cheer as the Oakland A's do something because I think you truly have the haves and the have not. But if you had the ability, I'm outta Toy Story before by Brian Jordan. It was Brian Jarman all pro safety Pro Bowl safety with Atlanta Falcons and under Glenville he was trying to get like a million dollars a football player. And I think it was right under nine hundred thousand dollars a willing to pay him. And then he was like God. I don't know what I'm gonna do. But the Saint Louis cardinals. We're gonna give them five million. I'm like why even playing football? What you trying to support your family was like, oh, well, you know, I'm in right field base. Baseball's kind of boring. Any love football. He loved the aspects of it. But then it's a business to me you get to that point. And then come on you weighing any said, you know. This is crazy. I probably would've came back to the falcons of Glenville and the falcons would have given me a million dollars. You know, why this is in baseball. And we made a big deal last year. What is the eighty four million the Kirk cousins got fully guaranteed with the Vikings one hundred million? I think somebody eclipse that was Aaron Rodgers somebody clips that for one hundred million dollars guaranteed again. That's a third of what these baseball players signing. But it's an international sport. It's just different economics. Right. Right. And it just you know, it's amazing. Were you look at a baseball player the top baseball players, and what they're getting paid. And then you have some fans in his elbow. Drew Brees is being greedy. I'd say look at a value of a drew Brees brought to the saints in stability since he's been here, greedy. He's been underpaid. It's not the players responsibility to take less money. Now, the I'm not going to criticize anybody who does Tom Brady I've gone over on my show a lot. There's a lot of nuance to that that Robert Kraft might have been doing some shady stuff investing in his businesses. Which is why is able to take less money. The NFL likes that franchise. Didn't plan. Elias him go read about it. Yes. It seems like it's true. But the people asking drew Brees or any NFL player. Take less money is just silly to me. Looking at his Texas. This is a lot of fans would believe this and even some players, but I guess if you're in the thick of things if that was your kid that was your kid or yourself. You're not going to take the money in this tech says, you know, bottom line this from fifty one seventy one bottom line. They're all overpaid. Okay. But are you truly do you believe in the free market are capitalism? Okay. Always say this people that serve as a community, whether your firemen, a schoolteacher policemen shouldn't even getting paid more money. I mean to me it seems like the good that they do. But it goes back to when you can't put sports like entertainment, and the regular workforce is like when Frank Sinatra school are Mick Jagger. They go sing they're fun hour, and they get a million dollars for one hour. So it's hard to put like pro sports and entertainment like in the regular workforce. And that's why they all overpaid. But but as the market, it's the market and free market. Well, I'm really free market, but his control. Listen to TV revenue and owners the owners in bidding against themselves. You you've seen that now innocent this year a little step back until this deal. Now.

"Other thing Greg Maddux. I had a chance to talk to any said, dude, I was throwing eighty six and I got drafted in the second round way back in nineteen eighty six. He goes I'm coming out today. He said, I'm not convinced. I'm in the top ten rounds because people will be like he doesn't throw hard. He's got little movement. He slight it's not real athletic. He said, obviously, I'm in the hall of fame. I knew what I was doing. But he goes, I think scouts today would overlook my qualities do you agree with that? Unfortunately, I think that that probably would happen. I think we're we're starting to dive into things a little bit deeper just metrically and with analytics and track man and sex information that allows us to see maybe this elite movement leak control the type of contact at pitcher's getting. So we can maybe look a little bit harder. And maybe maybe push him up the board to speak though. But in terms of Lhasa de the attractiveness, it's still out there. I think you know it. Players are excited about throwing velocity scouts likes to see it. They're getting rewarded for it at the college level certainly still in the drought. So it's it's it's a bit of a fight this being locked in on velocity. But pitching is what really it's gonna make you successful at the major league level. And Greg Maddox was one of those guys that was able to do it with whatever velocity had. But yeah, I think if he was pitching in that there are right now at the amateur level of fortunately, if he might just go in that second round, and maybe even deeper man appreciate all the knowledge that keep up. The great work SOX fans are really really excited of what you've gotten to this point. Thanks for having me. You have a great day. You too. Have a great day. We'll see. There you go. Chris gets from the Chicago White Sox had a player development and interesting. They've got a long list of really interesting prospects. But again, can they take the next step to getting things right where they need them to be? So that that team on the field can handle the pressure of the Chicago market that is totally different than playing in Tampa or playing some of the other smaller markets. It's just a different deal. If you ask players like to come to Chicago. It's totally different. It is. And it's funny, Dan and see players who are if you're not around, and they trust you, and you've got a relationship they are clamming up more than ever. They don't wanna be. Quoted have whatever they say misconstrued in today's times where it ends up at social media. It takes on a life of its own interesting stuff. Three one two three three two three seven seven six. "How you doing tonight? Good, man. What's going on? I agree with you. Let's just said about the D H. I'm not obviously, Pittsburgh area. Growing up. I remember a handicapped kid whenever I played against him in little league. He's still batted. However, I don't think I don't think the players union will ever let the DHL away. And one thing I do like about football is NFC game or AFC game has the same rules. So I can live with universal D H, even though I don't like it. All right. Pitch in the three battle minimums. That just sounds like nonsense to me. I think they're trying to speed up the game. That's what you just said. A few seconds ago away to speed up. The game would be to expand the strikes out. If you notice a ten nine games takes about four hours supplies. They're saying game that answer the final score of. Three to four Bari extra inning. Takes two and a half to three hours to finish. That's a great. That's a great point a great point and baseball wants thirteen to twelve games. Now. Two to one games, even though two to one games. His you better baseball. And I love Greg Maddux is not shop. But I would love every pitcher to have that. Greg Maddux strike zone. He's strike ring him up it was probably two inches outside. But that's movement of the answer. He's out. I don't know. I agree. They're also talking about lower on the mound. So they wanna do is that you want to make pitchers pitch. Three two three batters. Minimum. You want another offensive guy in the lineup every day in the National League side and you're going to lower the mound. You're gonna fifteen to twelve games to take just as long I'm gonna get. I get a rash about changes of baseball. All right. Do you wanna talk about? We'll do it. Eight five five two one two four CBS. We'll keep it rolling. Taking your calls on the proposed possible talked about changes major league baseball here on righter than you with me. "Insurance. You're going to hear from both managers about how their teams got to where they are meeting. The dodgers down. Oh two and the Boston Red Sox up two in the World Series. We're real quick Linden. Michigan a triple eight say ESPN, eight eight eight seven two nine three seven seven six Linda what you've got to say. Good morning, gentlemen. I'm wondering if part of the reason we don't have good ratings is all that. You have alluded to earlier the fact that we don't have starting pitchers going complete games. And it all the time that everybody is yellow. I mean a four hour game. I unfortunately fell asleep and does talk for a little bit. Not because I didn't like the game was very good. I'm a baseball fan. And I also think that as far as may trout and people like that the Los Angeles all the Los Angeles, California, the west coast because of the time change, they don't get exposure. I wish they would be able to put more games on the west coast teams, even if they're in the eastern time zone like an understand or it's hard on. Work night on of five or nine start out there. I mean, let's face it. Everybody's just going to be getting out of work. You're going to have to try and get to the ballpark and good grief. So that's a little challenging. You're good Greece. Great term in terms of getting into ballpark in having those first pitches because I've always said I pitch in the eastern time zone should be at seven o'clock or no later than seven thirty. But here's something else to her point about the stars of the lack of stars. Especially when it comes to starting pitching starting pitching superstar gone the way champions in boxing. It used to be that of a guy one twenty two twenty three games. You knew who that was you knew what he looked like. And it didn't matter. What team he played for how many people can name a guy that won twenty plus games American League this year. Come walk coach. And who that person is? And what team he played for me a handful tops. If you're not maybe two people would know that the man that had the most wins of anybody. It had the most minutes or twenty game winner when it comes to major league baseball plays with Tina the did not even make the playoffs. I mean, go right ahead inform us 'cause I was twenty one and five Corey kluber was twenty seven other than people who follow their teams. They had no idea. None in the American League Bloomberg. Twentieth. Win twenty seven. Blake snow was twenty one. Three and a half knows twenty five twenty game winner in the National League. Fire away. You got it in front of you zero. Zero. None. It's not just starting pitching. It's ever it's everything. And look, I don't think in watch twenty games this year. That's probably. Maybe twenty five. Ceiling during football season zero. I remember a die-hard cubs fan. So you can watch them. What are you nuts a mom lives here? Now, you kidding me? I mean, come on if you didn't. Zoned many cubs games that you actually fiftyish this really, okay? Oh god. Yeah. Absolutely. My mom any reason to lie to me though. What are you nuts? I mean, how many you're Mets fan was about one hundred Mets games this year. I suffered a lot during football season me full. Disclaimer, you know, I mean, look, I'm on the road nonstop, you know, for college and pro football word, would you be watching that much baseball? Oh, yeah. No. I look I love base. I mean, I'm a diehard baseball fan. I'm a die-hard cubs fan. I mean when you when you're growing up in as a Cubbies fan and nineteen Eighty-four mean your hearts, broken eighty nine your hearts broken we leave it dead armed, you know, Mitch Williams in for some stupid re scan Greg Maddux in Mitch Williams sitting there ready to come in. I mean, that's that's one where but ninety nine. Hey, you take it because we dead last in in ZIM and the boys, you know, I it looks phenomenal things that you're Jody Reed and crew. Yeah. You mean on Wiki going? I mean, I'll I'll I'll. I love my Cubbies. And two years ago. My mom can leave this earth because the saints won a Super Bowl, no nine and she washed her beloved Cubbies when it all right? How we had her on the air that was fantastic. But it's you know, this is one where we're talking about TV ratings and everything else. I mean, I have no explanation for it. When it comes to football season is my job is calling college football games. And pro football game stars matter more than ever before. Then is it has nothing to do with starting pitching. Right. It goes back to Mckee Beck's to me, Mike trout. The guys can walk down the street in major cities. And nobody would be able to recognize to me it still comes down to having that starting pitcher that you look for the circle every fourth or fifth day. You wanted to see that guy pitch? No matter what you thought about Roger Clemens. No matter what you thought about Tom Seaver. No matter what you do about. Greg maddux. No matter what you do about John Smoltz whenever they pitch you circle that you wanted to see what those guys were going to do. You don't have the now major league baseball Clayton Kershaw at the best pitcher major league baseball. He's not an event pitcher. We talk more about his lack of postseason success, which does well to me. That's a that's a product of the society. We live in today because you really look postseason numbers. And what he's done. I mean last season, right. I mean, he wasn't that bad. At all. Three three ERA Clayton Kershaw. You can't just be that bad. If you're going to be a superstar pitcher, you gotta be better than that. According to how things have been the parameters that have been set in front of him. And he did something that only Madison. Bumgarner is done. Right. I mean, it's he he's not. Has no personality that doesn't sell with people more in this day and age Jake's great Matic's and have a personality. But he he did those commercials chicks. They the ball that shows the siding. He and Tom glavin that was it. But how how much the people still Greg Maddux behind the scenes is hull, Larry as he did that commercial and it helped him out, and guess what? How many rings does he have one one one one zero fourteen consecutive division titles? But he was must see when he was pitching great. You'll make Ryan has. Yes, he has one from the Mets sixty nine nine thousand nine hundred sixty nine. But when he was on the mound. He was must see what he was going to do. You don't have to Clayton Kershaw. Right. Everyone talks about rings and this and that man he's been he's not he's not the same guy. He was three or four years ago. Fastball isn't getting up ninety five ninety six anymore. It's now ninety two ninety three. But he's still a marquee guy. Noisy is no he's not. Clayton Kershaw you walk him down the street in Chicago. They will not know who he is. I disagree with that. They would not know who he is. I think Kershaw is barely be known in Los Angeles in the city. In the city. He plays maybe barely known in Los Angeles. Especially now, LeBron on the scene that Steph curry Clayton Kershaw walk down the streets in Los Angeles gets more tense was going to be Steph curry that's never happened to a guy in his own city that never happened. That's part of the problem with baseball. But I think I think Clayton Kershaw is a household guy. And maybe it's because I'm I live in Dallas. And he he's from here. Maybe that's part of the reason. But I think Kershaw is one of those dudes, I, Nope. I just watched. I I just watch him last year when the Detroit Lions are playing the Cowboys and he's being just bombarded in the state of Texas right now. There you go because he's from that area. Dallas. I granted you that. No. He's not a marquee guy. In terms of no one says, I get the most casual baseball fan. Hey Clayton Kershaw. Okay. Any time. You heard the Roger Clemens going to be on the mound. No matter what you felt about him with thought about you're gonna watch that guy pitch. Same thing with Thomson. Now, I'm not disagreeing with that in this day and age. In this day and age to meet there's no market people circles say I wanna see that guy pitch that guy doesn't exist. Was this conversation's going around in circles because when it comes to starting pitching, you know, David price got a standing ovation after going six innings is he a marquee guy, though. I mean, he's getting paid over two hundred million dollars to see a marquee gouge me's not there you go. But he's standing still getting a standing ovation after six innings because they've lowered the bar for starting pitchers and success. And to me that's not the problem with baseball. The overall problem with baseball is that these guys don't market their marquee players in Kershaw to me is a marquee player. Trout. Trout had like the eleventh most popular Uni. Yeah. He's doing things. We haven't seen since Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle I get. It makes that that's that's a baseball problem. I mean, the ratings last night with even with no football or. Dropped what what what was the percentage from the lowest viewership for major league baseball game one of the World Series since two thousand fourteen. And I make an effort during football season to watch baseball games, and it is an effort, but. Now's the effort. You try preparing for two three days man and a talk show. You know what? World problems by this. Right. That don't give us a combat stories now. Travis when it came on the air saying, I don't watch baseball. I mean that's his game two of the World Series travels to disturb, and I'm not gonna use the void. Or that? It's this is a major problem. And right now if they don't get a series if the dodgers don't win game three major issue. It's a with these two marquee names. That's the biggest problem going right now for baseball. They don't actually get a series. They need to go six if it goes. I feel like it's not like it really is especially when they got the matchup that they wanted. The Yankees dodgers probably would have done more been Boston dodgers. We'll never know one eight one b that that's very fair. That's very inter-. I want to give somebody give me the numbers for Troy and south Alabama last night. I don't know how much of an effect. They have on game one of the ratings between the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers guest is by Freddie Fitzsimmons. They're here. Thanks to shell Pennzoil performance line. We promise you the managers what they had to say about game too and going forward you hear what they had to say.

"That's why those authenticates have jobs greg maddux rookie card for the chicago cubs let's see rookie cards kinda hard here baseball's like one for four hundred dollars on our forgot the tour rookie inherently do that but yeah was hundreds of dollars and rookie let's see p when did a one was maddox was i know i remember maddox obviously the eighty nine season him diving in the no lights season eighty eight eighty eight eighty six i think he was a twenty year old rookie bright eyed bushy tailed sorry greg maddux is one of those guys i loved as you know the cub and then you know he went onto he all his great success with the braves for all those years and they came back for a year or two with the cubs the cubs pretend like all those years in atlanta never happened like you really wasn't his hall of fame self when he was pitching eighty seven that changed yeah signed rookie card is only about seventy eighty dollars so that's surprising thirty five cents and a knack gum out of it to come out of the deal too so that works out yeah get ready to easier at page picker both on facebook and twitter three one two nine eight one seventy two hundred what do you want to brag about swap meet stay with us rogue show with anna detect people have gotten a hold of the underwear world and their their marketing all these new underwear host no scratch they have underwear now that protects dads who have little babies so that the kids don't welcome you could wear underwear for like a week at a time now no no you can got bad news written.

"Umpires have the greg maddux circa nineteen ninetyfive strike zone then you're going to have a lot of low scoring games so it is something you can't use to your advantage i tend to look at it in terms of you know when you look at catchers who are very good pitch framers yawn gums is one of the best in the league this year yes bonnie grondahl is another one austin hedges is the best in baseball based on the numbers as tracked by baseball prospectus wilson romo start in tampa bay's doing very well as well so you got it on fire with a big zone those are some catchers that can really take advantage wellington casteel wilson contrarius francisco survelliance drew buteera these are the guys who aren't doing as well with the framing metrics so if you've got an empire it's got a small zone with some of those guys could be a long day for their pitchers and a long day for those catchers so you'll it's not a huge impact in terms of framing strikes it it's you know it adds up over time the aggregate winds up being a few runs or more over the course of the season a lot of it is more of a mental aspect you'll pitchers think that they should have gotten a call they don't get it obviously they're upset about that maybe inning kind of unravels a little bit so there is that element to it and and for me that's not necessarily quantifiable so i don't dabble in it too much but again the most important thing is the first based on fire will move behind the plate and if you wanna handicap on pires you can do it based on that at nate tommy nine dime asking on twitter here this morning more of a general question obviously different for everyone but from what you see how long until someone will pull winnings from their bankroll is it a month is it two months maybe after winning a certain percentage of your bankroll banks and absolutely loving the baseball content i appreciate the kind words there at nate tommy nine time.

"In the last week back to back starts now he shut down the giants in that start on april dante what five and a third gave a five hits three runs but remember some of those rents tacked on in that final inning against them there he was dealing against the giants then had nine strikeouts to walks that night last night eight strikeouts just what walk for the big lefty and he almost all boast not only did you almost the no hitter but he owes greg maddux the giants those things are becoming impressive man when a guy can can strike out eight like that walk one and throw a hundred pitches flat by the way had a key sacrifice but in that ninth inning and a ten well if you're not gonna hit you got a pitch but all the pitching in the world doesn't help you if your team can't hit tony walks in the eighth inning guy the giants are expecting to to be that lockdown guy until will smith's back or until milan's back and they can fit somebody else into that role sam dyson not going to be the guy to take it right now josh osage not throw the ball he just not getting guys out right now corey jared had a bad walk last week and then gave up a home run and then last night tony watson fell susceptible to the same thing a leadoff walk to gerard dyson the one guy i mean one of two guys in the lineup you couldn't afford to walk dyson the fastest guy on the team so you sacrifice put him over and then a base knock up the middle and that's all she wrote david peralta wins the game one nothing for the zona diamondback similar takeaways from the game i don't wanna overlook johnny cueto we were worried about him coming into the season we worried about him coming off the disabled list johnny cueto absolutely brilliant last night this guy would be a number one on i'd say half the teams in baseball the twin the giants went out and they spent a hundred billion to get him gave him that up because this is a guy who thought he might get another hundred billion dollar contract little banged up last year dealt with the blister have the the.

"Compare greg maddux as postseason at david price they're not even on the same planet there are other guys playing period gets crucified being i mean this is an all time great nobody gets ripping up pitcher i understand his postseason number is not even that bad right it wasn't like he pitched in the regular season max is career playoff areas it was three point two seven same sex same thing but a lot of that and you're i wanted defend your point though because greg maddux kept pitchy held on and from age for the last seven years of his career he was a mediocre pitcher and that's his choice but why his career era is three point one six meanwhile he had soap to we are as multiple times right right right but he he was in the postseason the most of those games postseason was in his heyday and here at some of your as that he had in two point one eight two point three six one point five six one point six three two point two zero two point two those are some of his ear as fight ended up at three point one six but his postseason was not as good as world series starts greg maddux pitched to a two point zero nine world series two point two and three so he thinks yeah i mean he was he wasn't bad right to point something is good i think he was still better in the in the i'm not arguing that john it's it's more and joe's right to why compare and david rice there i really was good it was very it's always bothered me that greg maddux this rap is a guy that was bad i think and glavin where we're good in the postseason just not spectacular and smoltz was born it to another level in the postseason smoltz david wells l do schilling those guys that really bring and brought it to another level in the postseason and that has a huge and value.
