"Shoulder and arm. Is that from that? Is that it connected? Yeah, I was funny, 'cause I was at the reunion for my biological father. This is before I had any tattoos. Yeah, I've been thinking about this. On my half brother, I said, do you have a tattoo? Greg, I'm salon. And so I was like, okay. And so then I said, okay, who would you recommend for me to go to? Because I wanted to have something kind of tribal family ish kind of thing. And so he introduced me to our party because he's doing a lot of my nieces and nephews. Yeah, because it's tradition. And I'm learning about the somnolent Polynesian culture because I wasn't raised in that. I was raised Greek. My name is Greek. So I was raised in Greek church and those traditions Easter, all that stuff. Oh, with your parents who adopted you. Right. So I grew up with. Yeah, and it's funny 'cause like in the Polynesian culture, it's all about the elders and so I was staying with my brother this one Christmas and I was observing some of this there was a little bit of tension and I realized, oh my God, I'm the elder. And I was like, okay, Malcolm, look, I always wanted a big brother. And I may be older, but you're my big brother. I mean, and he's a big guy. He is. I mean, he was like a pop world champion powerlifter kind of guy who was on the police force. I looked at him. He is my big brother. He's that family. I'm learning. You know, I'm just a kid learning. Oh, you're learning about your family and your culture for the first time. Right. Yeah. I mean, I don't want to tell you this, but right now on the podcast we're doing a whole series on LGBTQ elders. Oh, wow. Is that like weird to be in that group? Oh my God, yeah. I mean, because you know what, if that was probably the weirdest thing for me, finding my biological family because in the family that I was raised in, I was the baby. And then now I'm the elder perceived and it's like, oh my God, no, no. I don't want to be the eldest child. I know how to be the baby. I don't know how to be the oldest child. Going back in time though, you won those four back to back gold medals and then retired. And you'd work for so long to achieve this one goal. I kind of wonder what does a person do when they work for so hard for so long to achieve something? And then they do it before they turn 30. What was it like to have to figure out what you wanted to do next? Well, I didn't think I'd see three. Honestly, because I was diagnosed in 88, generally they gave you two years. And so I didn't think I would see 30. And then we would go by, you'd go buy your goodbye. So now at 62, it's like, wow, now what do I do? I got to get a job. So did that kind of stop you from planning? For your long-term future. And financial decisions because you didn't think you'd have to deal with those things? Yeah, there was a point there. It's like, oh, I'll do whatever I want because I'm not going to be here. And then all of a sudden I probably around 40 as soon as I got to figure out what to do here. Figure out a means of living and being my bills. So reaching forward, you've seen firsthand the evolution of HIV aids met from AZT to where they are now. What was that moment like when you found out that with the current drugs that you could even like no longer transmit the virus yourself? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, that was that was huge. You know, if you're a viral loads and a technical, then you're on transmittable when that information was like, oh, wow. It's really. A game changer. Yeah, I mean, it's like, okay, this isn't definitely not what it used to be. But I still go to a couple of doctors appointments, young men who recently seroconverted because it's still frightening. You know, you don't know what it is, what it looks like and how it's going to be managed and all that stuff. And I probably have been on just about every HIV aids medication that's out there. So I know side effects and all that stuff. When you found out you were undetectable, did that have a noticeable effect in your mentality, like how you went about life at all? No, I mean, because what I was conditioned to in my early diagnosis, I go to my doctor's appointment, get my numbers, and then they put that file back in shelves. Filing cabinet. And that's why I would put it because like, okay, I add my marching orders. I've got to do this, this. And take care of myself and then go about the business of living. So I really didn't focus on it all that much. I didn't know if there were more medications coming down the pipeline. I wasn't really that stressed over all of that stuff because I knew that it was going to be what it was going to be. I see. That's healthy. Yeah, I mean, because I didn't have control over it. I mean, a lot of my Friends were like, oh my God, you know, this is, this is the last combination I can do because I'm resistant to all of these drugs. And I just didn't, I didn't focus on that. So early on in the diagnosis, when they put the file away, I put the file away. In your 30s, you thought that every birthday was going to be your last one. When did you stop treating birthdays like that? Well, okay, so my 33rd birthday, I was wasting. I mean, I was clearly losing weight. I wasn't doing well. And so I thought I was saying goodbye to all my Friends. I agreed to have a surprise birthday party and all the people that showed up. It was just amazing. I mean, the areas of my life that weren't supposed to meet. It was like, oh my God, all under one roof, but I did think that I was saying goodbye. And I went to Florida to see.

"The moment being in the moment. And so when you shared with the world that you are living with HIV, this is in 95. And that's kind of when the contrary started that like, oh, he's bleeding the pool, even though we know now, there was no way to transmit through pool water. However, was any of the coverage also like, wow, this Olympic athlete has HIV hit his head and still won the gold medal. I think initially it was a lot of finger pointing, a lot of accusations, but then I think it was like, oh wow, God, you got back up there. How'd you do that? I used to meet that timing is remarkable where it's 1988, the aids crisis is unfolding, act up is acting up, right? Yeah. Even though you weren't out at the time in the Olympics, in 95, when you did come out, that it was still an incredibly dark time for HIV aids. And so you coming out as living with HIV and as being this gold medal winner, to me, that's like a huge PR moment to help combat stigma. Yeah, I guess it kind of turned into that. Yeah, that wasn't my intent. I was doing Jeffrey. By a Paul Rudnick. Yeah. So I was able to live out my fantasies and fears on stage, because Darius is out and proud, and gave pride marchers and he also, I felt the liver is the most poignant message to the lead character Jeffrey when he turns to Jeffrey and says, Jeffrey Kate a it's not life. That was a big part of it because I did. I felt isolated. I felt alone. And I was thinking, you know what? Chances are I'm not the only one. So if I come forward with what I've been dealing with with my HIV with all of that stuff and open that door up and I would hopefully be letting people in to maybe feeling the same way. To let them know that they're not alone. And your life for so long revolved around diving. It took up all of your time necessarily. Reading your book, it seemed like, because of all that time spent, you weren't able to invest in or be a part of a gay community. You didn't have like a circle of like gay friends. Did I get that wrong? No, that's pretty accurate. I think I was totally immersed in my diving. I kept everything separate. I mean, everything my entire life was compartmentalized. I had my college friends. I had my social friends. I had my diving Friends. I had my theater friends. When I was doing Equis, Jimmy Puig, who played doctor dice art. He turned to me and said, I know Greg louganis the actor, but I understand your dive as well. And I.

"Well, I'm trying to think of there's got to be something else bad that happens. It's only. It's only Tuesday. I know. There's got to be certain. I might have slept through it. In any event, but the trip to Florida, of course, Billy, you know, Billy. And by the way, he sends his very best to you guys. Awesome. He's a great guy, and I played some golf and had a good time. And I figured out too when I was down there, which golf clubs I want to get. I rented a couple of sets of clubs. I rented some Callaway golf clubs, and I hit a beautiful. I mean, I looked like John Daly out there, with these like I didn't play like him, but I looked like him out there. New clubs. They're beautiful. Yeah. And head over to golf galaxy and natick. Framingham. Yeah, I'm gonna get some callaways. 'cause I had callaways in the past, a Big Bertha as I was really, that's when I was at my very prime of my golf life. Yeah, there's nothing like being in the prime of your golf. You know, where you can just have confidence, it's going in the hole. You don't golf. Have you ever? Well, no. Well, look at it this way. My short game for some reason, I'm good at that. I'm pretty good. That's what we heard. But I can't hit the. I'm sensitive. I'm sensitive God damn it. But I can't hit the ball off the tee. Listen, man, if you got the short game, it's all about that. But if I hit the ball and goes, I told you I was standing at a. Go to the driving range with me. I'll have you hitting him 303 150 yards by the time you used to be a driving range in Marlborough, and I'm standing there and there's this guy standing behind me, just so that's a big one on route 9. An older guy, yeah, it's gone now. So he's standing there watching me and I had a bucket of balls and I'm whacking away and occasionally I get one, it would be that perfect hit. Straight and just start low and then go way up high. And I said, do you want to because there's nobody there, but he's just watching me. I said, do you want this bay here? And he says, no, no, no. I watch. I watch. All right, so when I was all done. I said, there you go. It's all yours. He said, oh, you. You good golfer. Where is he from? I don't know. For some foreign country. I remember, yeah, yeah, 'cause he was using a very distinct accent. So far, he sounds like a Filipino. You good call fire. I said, okay. Well, thanks. He said, yeah, you'd be great golf. If green over there. And then he points to the right. What's it called a hook or a slice? Yeah. My hook is a left slices around. Okay, when I was I'm a hooker. Holy crap. You're a lefty, you know that, right? You should probably golf left. I do like that. Oh, you do? Oh, that's different than it. If you're left, you just slice, it goes to the left. I've never golfed. If you're lefty and you hook, it goes to the right. By the way, you know the four worst people to play golf with. You know who they are? Yes, please. Heidi fleisch. She's a hooker. O. J. Simpson, slicer. Slicer. There's Ted Kennedy. Can not hit over water. I should say, can not drive over water on everyone else. And the fourth one is Greg louganis. Greg, why Greg would he doesn't know which hole to go for? Okay, so now we have all kinds of stuff going on here today. Let's talk about it. Okay. Don't forget our podcast is called 15 minutes of shame. One of them, we have two. No. You know, I think we should have like a hundred podcasts. Yeah, that's a good live down here. We just get together once a year and do all hundred of them. Once a year, have a big vest. And then take the rest of the year off. It's haptic. Saint Patrick's Day. Now, raise your hand if you're at least partially Irish. Okay, that's everybody but you, Ben. I am not. You're Swedish, Ben cock. Yes. You know, his name is sweet. You know, Ben kitchen's name and Swedish is. Yeah, it's gone. It's a cocktail. It's misspelled, but it's cock. Ben cock. KO Koch. I think you should just change your name to that. For the radio show dude, you still do that radio show? Mark and cock. Is that why you wanted to be? I think cock and Mark would sound better. Cock and balls. That's if I do a solo show. Mocking with cock. All right, so anyway. So I have Irish jokes a couple of them. I like that. It's pretty good. There we go. That would catch on. The cock of the walk. These are three little Irish jokes to honor our Irish Friends. The wearing of the green, all right? Any of these take place in a church or something. How about Aaron go braless? I knew a girl named Aaron I worked with at Anna come and I used to have telling her to Saint Patrick's Day. She should be Erin go braless. Oh, Erin. You know who I'm talking about? Oh, yes, I do. That would be interesting. That was his stack of treats. All right, now,.

"And you'll get in touch with our volunteer team who will try to match you with a schedule opening, all right. She is the new deputy director of the Food Depot. Jill Dixon, D D. Bill Dixon, which is the same initials I had before so All right, um It wasn't your cooking that killed a squirrel wasn't it was not my cooking. It was a lack of oxygen brought on by a sudden plunge into a polar pool. Well, that's a shame. I don't think his acrobat game was on point that day, so Yep. Wasn't prepared for that back. Gainer. Um, no, no. Didn't ended a little like a Greg Louganis. There. I am like, yeah, dating myself with that one, banged his head on the on the diving board. All right. What else is going on The food deeper. I mean, this. This is a year round. How our you know the distributions on Thursdays. We have sort of Seen things settle down a little bit, which is really a huge relief and what that's letting us do as an organization is people are settling in, you know, getting back into the workforce really able to provide Again and getting back on their feet. What we're able to do or the launching these programs like kids Kitchen and the food Mobile and making sure that we're delivering hunger relief services into pockets of the community so that we are meeting people. Where they're at with what they need and offering choice in dignity in the process. You know, I had on recently the owner of Santa Fe Place Mall, and one of the things he is proudest of is working with the Food Depot and offering you know, like immediately like here's the parking lot, use the parking lot to to hand out food. I can't say enough about what that partnership in so many other partnerships meant. I mean, if you look back on the miles long lines that we saw wrapped around Santa Fe plays, especially at the peak of the pandemic in the late fall last year. It was really crushing, but it was so inspiring to see that people were so giving of their time the space that they had to offer. Um Their financial contributions. Just their general support of the work that we were all trying to do together. And I think that Jim is a really great example of that. Or somebody who immediately stepped forward never hesitated and said Yes. Please hold it here. We're here for whatever you need. Gotta love that. Uh, it's a bit in, um Interesting year and a half seems like it's about five years or 10 years long, but all everything that's transpired in the last year and a half, Uh and it's still with us Still there. Um, I I would imagine. I mean, you guys have been recording back vaccinations for a long time. Correct. We are moving to. We do have a vaccine vaccine requirement in place. It took effect yesterday. The people who are on site at our food distributions or on site in our building need to have at least one vaccination. By October 27th visitors and volunteers as well, of course, as their staff will need to be fully vaccinated. Which, of course, means bull shots if it's a two shot regimen and two weeks post final vaccination All right. Last question. The toughest question of the day. You're ready. Yes, sir. Who's your NFL team? Oh, my gosh. There's there's a lot of shame in this. I'm sorry. You know here you can. You can pass. You can take the fifth if you need to. I I don't need to take the fifth and I know I'll get all the haters. You guys can definitely email me about this. I'm going to say that I, uh Don't have a favorite team. My favorite team is whoever is playing the Cowboys. Oh, okay. You're an anti cowboy. I'm an anti cowboy. That is my claim to fame in football. Two o'clock today, we had a gentleman by the name of text on from Dallas and I asked him and he said no Cowboys all the way by a touchdown tonight over the Buccaneers you're taking the bucket are really good at losing in the fourth quarter. So so it's kind of a pleasure. Your hopes will be dashed again. Text and he said. Watch it, dude. Anyway. Don't give in my email address your website for the food, DIY punk. The food depot dot org. It's a great place to get connected with us. You can always find different ways to contact the different folks. But definitely there's always a way to get involved. If you want to volunteer, we have lots of different opportunities. Lots of different days of the week times a day. We welcome you. We definitely want to see different faces participate. We have a really fantastic advocacy committee that's working on long term solutions and policy change that will help improve food insecurity. For the long term. There is a great way to get involved. You can find that on our website, the food depot dot org. Um everyone has something to contribute, and I hope that everyone listening, we'll get involved with the Food depot in the way that fits best for them. You know, food insecurity was a headline on a number of websites today about how it was combated during the pandemic, and it was just because of places like The food depot that stepped up, you know, and dealt with the food insecurity, people who are hungry Food Depot. You guys are our heroes here in Santa Fe, So if you have some extra time, some extra money, some extra ideas Energy, Whatever you guys will take it right? Absolutely we will. We want to be your place to come and be a part of your community. Jill Dixon, the new deputy director at the Food Depot, thanks as always. Thank you. All right, 11 minutes until forward..

We'll get to more phone calls coming up poll question and then we'll get to our next guest on if you win a golden a niche sports. Here's what we've gosh. Nisha archery paulie be happy about that. Leads with twenty eight percent judo at twenty percent and then badminton water polo valley. Not for third. At twelve percent kirk bulls is on vacation. But that doesn't stop him from working. He is a sports columnist. For the austin american statesman co host of on second thought his podcast. He tweeted out the following today. Prominent big twelve source tells the american statesman that the texas oklahoma moved to the. Sec is almost done quote. They've been working on this for a minimum of six months and the texas am leadership was left out of the discussions and wasn't told about it. Move could become official in a week. Kirk kind enough to join us on vacation from minnesota kirk. When did you start to get the feeling that this was real. Well actually dan. I go back to a week ago last friday ahead. A tip from an sec source that this would maybe in the works. And i was trying to nail down before vacation able to do that. In part dan because When i talked to the oklahoma eight he joked to stick leone. He kind of pooh-poohed the whole thing to be you know. There's somebody rumored out number. Go on your vacation. No problem and the texas president. I talk to him to go on last friday and against so many rumors out there. I can't. I can't talk about all of them. So kinda went on the back burner but it sure heated up. That's for sure. Where are we today. where are we today. we are on a runaway train. then You know start. Teaching motto is all gas no breaks. And i'm not sure any breaks on on this story either and just kinda kinda riding an angry or something a lot of pissed off people. I'll say well you do mention in the in the tweet. The texas am wasn't even consulted on this out. How is that possible. That well okay. Should they did. They have to consult an emo on texas and oklahoma leaving. Put it this way you know. Every league says okay. Fourteen team members in the sec. They're all equal partners. The problem with that is summer more equal than others. You know and i don't think a and m's equalness You kind of equates to some of the other ones in quite frankly ain't them has been very upfront. they wanna kill this whole thing. They want to watch it. You know they're in the sec reason. They wanted to get out from under texas shadow. So you know this. This is their worst nightmare right now. I think and so. I think they're moving heaven and earth to try to stop this at the last minute but i just don't like their chances. Okay explain the game plan. I mentioned if i'm oklahoma. I could stay oklahoma in the big twelve. And i'm guaranteed a playoff spot. Every single year the texas you're being dominated in the big twelve you know. How do you like your chances in the sec. So i'm just that's from you know a million miles away applying logic to this take that apart. Why is oklahoma joining the sec. Don't let logic getting away. It might be okay. We know what the driving force by college. Athletics is and all you gotta do is look at the labs few changes with transfer portal and name image and likeness intermediate eligiblity. And and. so you know. I'm not gonna say this is an out and out money. Grab but they would get so much more money they would get so much more prestige. It is the premier conference. We all know that. There's no denying that the and as much as anything dan. I think it's a lot has to do with football scheduling and even though texas has i mean they've got series home at home with alabama georgia florida between now and twenty thirty one but the problem is the big twelve. You don't have the tv draw or the ticket drawn that you do in the sec. You know they can look at and m they every other year has a alabama lsu coming in auburn. Here comes a florida georgia. Texas is trying to sell tickets to no disrespect. You know kansas kansas state. I was stayed and those teams. Just don't move the needle team. So i think that's as big a function of this. You know they remodeling the south. Endzone war memorial stadium that that'll be ready for the louisiana game on september fourth and they're building a brand new basketball center moody center. That will be ready in like a year and a half what happens to the big twelve by i mean i just. I don't see how they compete. I mean you know. They made thirty four and a half million in a covert year. That was there. Sure a tv revenue you know while sec looking at forty five million. I've heard it might grow to sixty million a year per school in texas and oklahoma. Join but you know. If i were them i throw out the liferaft and knock on the pac twelve door and see the big ten's interested but our the acc but you know so many of them. We're going to be left behind when we went through this last wave of expansion in texas and oklahoma and others flirted with the pack twelve right to the eleventh hour so but i think they're looking for any liferaft In the ocean they can find. And i would be putting out peter's the houston and smu. Cincinnati uc Maybe byu in boise state even so they kind of becomes every.

"And it's the responses, a shoulder, shrug or or radio silence. That's not necessarily the response you WanNa, have either so another one of those binary that we reveal with the book. Is. You know we're. We're making this argument. The media that this is a big deal, and it's worthy of being on the cover of sports illustrated, and it's worthy of leading off these sports news and regular news programs, and we're also saying Oh, by the way it shouldn't be a big deal at all. It should be no deal whatsoever. Why does anyone care at this point? And so it's very hard to navigate a lot of these contradictions. You know what's interesting also is the fact that there are a lot of people that probably would like to have an African American living next. Next door to them or in their neighborhood, the same could be said for somebody who was gay as well, but there is something that brings about some degree of equality, and I'm trying to understand why that is and what it is, but if they happen to be somebody who's well known I don't think anybody even if they had the feeling that they wouldn't want to have an African American next to more in their neighborhood. If they found out that Lebron James was going to be in their neighborhood. I'm sure it would have nothing to do with them being black. Would you agree? It tends to be these become household names, so you become comfortable with their celebrity with their personality. In some way there, we're always scared of the unknown, and when you picture someone who's different than the way you've lived, leave grown up You might have some reticence, but but really with with anyone you've met or had exposure to. You tend to find more in common than you have that that really. Is that different? You find way more things that you can share with people whether they have different sexual orientations, different racial backgrounds, whatever it might be once the dynamic of the gay athlete. Athlete coming out and the regular person coming out because I've always found when I've talked to athletes who are gay and who have come out there was a reticent and I can understand that because there are a lot of things attached to gayness particularly in sports particularly in Male sports that you just don't find generally speaking in life. What have you found? Well well, there are a couple of key things. Number one is way different for individual and team sports. We ended up focusing on the team sports because. Those are things that get the most media play, and also because a lot of the proposed fear of this comes from what's going to happen in the locker room because I disrupt the locker room. Is it going to hurt teen season in some way, so yeah, we've had athletes who've been at the top of their profession for decades whether it's Greg Louganis in diving or or Martina Navratilova in tennis but those individuals sports while they certainly have their own struggles and things to bear. Those function differently. Than the team sports where lots of times you say well, even if you wanted to come out its you. If. You knew what's best for the team. You don't want WanNa rock the boat. You don't want to disrupt the locker room. There's the visual notion of of this is a place where people be various stages of undress, and that will make me uncomfortable in some way there, so so that's one thing, the other thing, really There's many, but the other major thing we found was. Of course. It depends on the sport. So. a male figure. Skater is presumed to be more likely to be gay a male football player. Now what we're that gets interesting is because we try to figure out how many people are clogged in sports, and so we'll apply or national statistics whatever you WanNa look at somewhere between five and percents. of the general population is gay, and you apply that to sports and one side says well. No, no, no. it's likely not that hot because people are repelled by it because they see sports. That's hostile to anything. That is non hetero normative. But the other side says many people and make people. We spoke to sought out sports as a shield Ryan O'Callaghan for instance playing the NFL for eight years, and came out after his career was over, and said he sought out footballs specifically, because no one would question that sexuality if he was a big. Hulking football player. so so it's hard to really say what those percentages are, but. The individual person's team as well as what kind of sport are playing. Different stigmas that you're playing. What do you think the next breakthrough will be when it comes to gay athletes in sports in the media? My best sense of it. You know so you, can you? Can you know optimists pessimists? You can look at it and you can say how much progress has been made in the five major team sports in America. There's a grand total zero, and there's power of zero. that are openly gay in those major leaks right now. the other way you can look at. It is you know. We have seven college football player who are openly gay and playing. That's an all time high. we have more at at the junior, high high school and college level. Coming out lay more. Than ever before about double as many as five years ago, so let's most likely to occur as a person who's been out for quite some time naturally percolates up to that professional level. And then they don't have to do that. Formal press conference or Oprah Interview at least not as much because they've already dealt with. Hey, I've been out the media's known out for years, and so it's not this huge on flocked so I think you're gonNA start having people who might have been the. You know the gay running back on the football team. Who worked their way up through merit there there? And there's. You know all of a sudden professional team looks and says well. There was no problem with a high school or college level. I can't imagine there'd be a problem here. You know as well as I do that. every sport..

"What type of game it was the importance of it? It would have been awful James harden saved everybody. Yeah. Kevin Durant was basically in San Francisco was trying to save those in the new stadium already probably inbounds. But in the new stadium trying to save the morning show guys were saying it was he took four or five steps. So it's going to get longer and longer stories retold. And yeah. I just this hockey stick legs or have you seen the picture here? Greg Louganis Benji. I mean, those do not look like human feet. You know what they do? Look like honky, right? It's unbelievable. Exactly razi. And it's after a team USA practice misshapen. Speaking of team USA Dwayne Wade's going on the all star game. I hope so let's start it. Yeah. Get him there. He was actually technically already there right now. Yeah. He's gonna make it. But let's keep them there. So right now, he's number two right behind Kyrie Irving amongst the guards in the east. And so who are all the guards that are salty right now. Like who are the ones that are mad that they're gonna fall victim to this one last dance retirement, then Simmons while I'm just seeing these this feat picture God. Sorry. Yeah. Do you guys now for for mockery leg? Combo looks. Yeah. Hi. He looks weird wearing slides because like there's so much foot. They don't sex so much, but I usually refer to big feet as being canoe like, but I'm going to have to change to honky stakes after seeing that photo. Klay. Yes. He's definitely got to be a starter. Even like, obviously, it doesn't deserve it Artor. Yeah. He may be that the way he's gonna get in. Now, he's going to get a pity. Even if he doesn't get in as a starter. He should he deserves. He is on that level of the guy that should just get to go and all star this year. Sears question is you and also this year? No, he's not enough. You must be the sixth man of the year. No, he's not even that. I mean, he, but, but at least that's a category where the category where somebody's going to say. Should I include him in my top three? Maybe I'll give them a number three vote. I I'll give you that. Especially by the end of the year. If you know, if if you put together some pretty good performances, but that's that's the interesting part like so not everybody who's been great announces during before their season that they're going to retire. Right. And so when do you allow for this sort of, you know, what what would you call that just a ceremonial spot on the all star team like first ballot hall of famers? I famous served to get that lasts all star game and has and so you have to announce before the season that it's going to be your last one right has Dirk Nowitzki announced officially that. He's retiring after this year. I don't know. But that's that's on Dirk Wade's doing it. The way it's me way deserves to go to the all star game..

"Or like, my friends who are thirty. And they can only do mills porn now. I'm sure you did listen to the butterfly effect yellow. Yeah. Talking about what's in it. Yeah. Does he? Yeah. Yeah. John John consulted with John a lot for loan related, prog people that don't know. I think is a Muslim born in St. about paying people in how what's his name Julian? Yeah. The guy who kind of figured out porn hub. But this kind of goes into like, you couldn't do that for TV and film, they stopped that. But because it's porn people are like. We total. There's so much self aid. And shame. Yeah. And there's so much mystification around. How it works that nobody can really talk about. So. Yeah. John, and John is John is really awesome. That's actually one of the only maybe the only thing about porn by an outsider. That's good. Just there's almost nothing. So he really did a good job on that. But I remember what I was gonna say he talked about the gap of girl can either be like a teenager. Right. A mill. Yeah. So like when they're shooting when she's like twenty eight. Yeah. They're just like well, see you when you're thirty four. Yeah. Whatever it is. And it's like no one so flipping gymnast or any like outta here. Grandma. You just fifteen helped me realize I sort of feel the same way about the Olympics as I do about foreign joking. I'm like, you have someone like barking orders that you getting you up keeping you in shape. You're right. There's weird moves super athletes thought it, and then there's a time when you're no longer relevant. Yeah. And of course, there's like Greg Louganis. And so even the sexuality gets into the pick sometimes of the pool. Into so. So what was I saying now? Oh, so this. Yeah. Like, I spend probably eighty five percent of my time talking about stuff talking about sex and sexuality doing activism to convince people that sex is no big deal. Meaning like, it's just like anything else, it's constitutive of being human. So you like, we don't we literally don't exist without it. It's part of us just like eating talking like eating sandwiches more like playing more like having a conversation. So like I'll come back to that in a second. But then you have to go through that that total normalization neutralizing of sex. And then you can see the things that are distinct and interesting about it. But until you go through that first part, you don't really have a right to talk about the second part. You have to sort of reduce it down to something. That's really no big deal at all. It's not really even special or even some ways. Interesting. And then you can start thinking about wide is interesting. It's interesting because someone raising a daughter where like what are we going to tell? Maybe law about sex. And obviously, I want to be very positive and not give her the baggage that I that. I was given through my church, and yeah, it wasn't really. It wasn't my parents. My dad was always like, you sink, the Bismarck, yet pita generally even know to me still. Still it's a submarine. And it looked like a day. So it's like did you submerge the submarine in what in World War who? Oh, yeah. Yeah. China's are watery grave, and I. I. And he remembers that from when I was born. So my parents, and my mom was not anti sex. But I so you're thinking, okay. And I really love for you on pack this. Okay, I'm thinking. Okay. Well, you tell her sort of like the modern version of prudence, which is sex is special as I'm going against what you did. And I know that I'm just like sex is a gift it's a special thing that you share with people that you care about. And so, but even there there are hints of so don't be at trowel up. Right. So there is some sex. Shame even in my. We haven't done this yet. She won't we don't wanna this conversation tomorrow filter afternoon. In goo goo Gaga. But even I'm realizing my own sort of agenda in saying that it might kind of sound a little bit woke. But I'm really saying like well don't. But then you don't want it to get pregnant. There's always that sort of well, Well, you you know, know. are you friends with Moshe casher? Okay..
