"He wants to get another big contract with all the money. Lost in with the raiders. And all that stuff he probably. I'm sure it wants to get his name back in that group of elite receivers. What are you expecting from him. You know him fairly well. I don't know if you've talked to him. But what do you expect from him this season. I'm expecting a lot. His role is gonna be increased But he's so humble to just be back out there and i think It's it's gonna be season by season. And i think every team moving forward is is kinda looking at this as still you know. Antonio brown is being that model citizen right now. And he's being the player that he is because of the relationship and the leadership skills of tom brady And just that that relationship that has been built. But i expect him to have a really really productive season Because he's not a number two guy he's not a number three guy but he has taken on that role and embraced it and he is going to get the second and the third best defensive back and that just doesn't go well where you are antonio brown you cross a defensive coordinator like are we don't have another guy that guard new. Yeah he's gonna he's gonna get so favorable matchups all year. Greg i will say people should take about five hundred shekels and bet on the texans against jaguars. And here's my reason. Why quarterbacks selected first overall in their debut since two thousand three you know what their records those quarterbacks. I don't know you better tell me zero twelve and one. Wow zero twelve and one greg. I want you to tell me. Why is it so hard for quarterback you know even even always the number one overall pick or for those teams to win. Obviously the teams are usually bad because they are number one overall starting there but it's a transition that takes a little time doesn't it does but it's it's the latter. It's truly the ladder like you are what you mentioned when you're selected number one overall you're not going to a great situation by not and so to be able to turn your individual performances into a collective group of wins. It is a challenge to do because typically the culture is not conducive to winning right away. You're trying to create that you're trying to establish the winning mindset the winning ways and in order to do that you need a guy at the ham and unfortunately for these teams. They don't have anybody typically after that. Now having a chance to watch jacksonville last season. I don't think they're going to be a great team. But i don't think they're going to be bad. They fight to the end. They have they have some solid players. And i think he'll continue to grow but just a curve. The learning curve is is just so bad for young quarterbacks Especially we got to equate. The we had put. This is the equation. Now you gotta young not only a rookie quarterback but you got a rookie coach to help. So like their grueling in learning and taking every step is their first step together collectively in that just gonna be challenging in another cell in there. I'm taking texans. In that game. Greg jennings we appreciate the knowledge brother. Obviously we'll be talking with you all season long and antonio brown just caught a deep with twenty twenty five yards something like that..

You could start by role that somebody ours over. Go about okay. This is like eight hundred eight hundred but you know when you really got money you stop stunned it bands. You've been there before can go starting early on because they just came into success. I think now they've been humbled now on the khakis and a polo every day on the state. And if you ain't gotta show and you're rich when you're trying to be rich show it right there. What's i'm rich. I coming up to one hundred dollars. "The NFL buffalo todd in Green Bay. Welcome to the couple. I gotTA agree with Mr Wrong Sir. Momentum listed. Are you ready. Russell Wilson. Last year with a minute left in the San Fran game to win the division to be the number one seed and to put my packers at the number one seed and put San Fran and number number five seed. Let's the play cocking hits I and and one at the one yard line and let's employ TACO. You heard it here remember and then Cook in the end zone. Yes, he has. Spoken like a true leadership spoken like a true packers fan who's who who's upset that his team got vote raise the debt is a mistake I. Look I love Russell. I think he's under value Russell a little bit the caller but that's a fact and it's also a fact that he threw interception in Super Bowl. It'd be just saying. That was already. In the history of Super Bowl I'm with you bag call I get it. It wasn't a bad call. It was the album. Nose back the they throwing the. based. Upon the call came in from the sideline, they were in eleven personnel one tied in three wide receivers and and a running back and and I'm sorry and New England was blitzing everybody they were in a goal line defense. You can't out run against that. You can. You can argue I don't play more was bad. Men at the line of scrimmage see executives. A basketball guy how they work out it was the correct call based upon. Throw no no, it wasn't a band with. Know. Were they bad travel it was a bad route. To the next caller. Shack in Richmond. Welcome to the I'd couple. Going on Jordan going. On. Rather. Not much not only thing. Russell Wilson the Mozell underrated quarterback in the League I can make behavioral them. As threes with the hundred touchdowns and twenty three interceptions as by far the best last threes. Always been consistent. He doesn't have anybody he lied on his team out of him, Jamal Adams or Bobby Wagner. Receivers a young and up and coming but you know every mahomes is the sexy picking I. Love. But I. Mean. He has lead everything you know what? I mean coaching..

"W. R. I D. H. S. t. e. r., and then at the podcast writer or wrong. We got our man, Greg Jennings friend of the show super bowl champion Fox NFL analysts and. Becoming a world renowned bodybuilder as well. He joins us at the bottom of the hour a George. Let's go to the NFL obviously you've got a big game tonight, the battle, the State Championship in Ohio, the the Hapless Cincinnati bengals against the hapless. CLEVELAND Browns but. They'll be going tonight. We're not to go to that game. Let's go to something that bill belichick. Said as they prepare for the Seattle seahawks this weekend. He had all sorts of praise. Lead. Do we have sound Bella checker not? Okay. He he gave major praise. Now this is not unusual. Check likes to heap praise on his opponents but he he really just threw flowers in and corsage. Years in all types of stuff at at. In a minute. Yeah. All that. Here he is. His guys a tremendous player. Honestly I think he's you know in a way maybe underrated by by the media or the fans I don't know. I don't really see anybody better than this player. He can do everything. He's got obviously great leadership playmaking skills He plays very well in the most critical situations in the game was decision making you put them up against anybody since he's been in the league, literally anybody or any category. Really. Alright dairy is he's talking about Russell Wilson I'm GonNa. Let you at first crack at it. George is Russell Wilson underrated and if so why? Absolutely. Yeah. He is under underrated like last year. He would have won MVP going away except for Lamar. Jackson had one of the best seasons of any quarterback in NFL history. Deserve VP last year no. No. Okay. Morrow Lamar Jackson that argument no no no. I'm saying I mean I'm just saying is that is that In the years that Russell Wilson would would or could have won MVP somebody does something like stupid like like some somebody has such an outrageous season that they've been a unanimous MVP or close to it so that that's the reason for him not getting an MVP vote and he has Gotten vote yes. Oh so he's going to be a unanimous like first ballot hall of fame quarterback and he's one of the best quarterback quarterbacks in the last in this Jenner generation period and the fact that Bill Belichick went in like like of this I didn't believe that this was his typical..

"Where there's like Patrick runaround? Until Travis Kelsey Elsie finds an opening and I feel like that's going to be the game plan here. I think Kelsey not necessarily because he has the big explosive play. You're out from tyreek Hill. But they get inside that red zone even the gold zone inside the five yard line will three are vast travis Kelsey maybe one or two of those who drove skills I in super bowl fifty four. The forty niners defense will have have the tall order of slowing down. Patrick Mahomes army killed Travis. Kelsey Sammy Watkins. Greg witch forty niners players most likely to wreck Casey's offensive game lance will sue sitting in this yesterday listening to our friend James Harrison. He was he was for sure. Certain that Nick Bosa was that guy life so he's been a super bowl. Mvp He's made some super bowl. Plays Bolsa I like his matchup against conspicious. I listened very well and my eyes. Tell me that this is a great player going up against an average player and I think nick both will have a great day. I liked Kyi Alexander the way he was able to come back at the end of the year and really be a spot to the defense said. A couple of games in the defence wasn't the same but like like you said Greg complimenting of Vosa and what default would be able to do as far as fresh loans pushing them up. I think you'll be the wrong from sideline to sideline he consistently ranked the Games. Those are both great answers and if if someone is going to wreck the game I hope one of you guys is right rather than me. I'M GONNA say for Ford heard who was three inches off side. The chiefs aren't the defending super bowl champions. I'm already having nightmares that somehow some way Devi Ford is not offsides. The chiefs are driving for the game winning score. He comes around. The I don't even want to speak into existence. It might commitment to take integrity. Says I have up to give my honest answer D. Four. He's the one I'm scared of. Because he's the one I won't ever get over it happens Ford's a ton of outspoken is on both teams in Super Bowl. Fifty four and the media presence is always tightened during Super Bowl. Week Greg witch player is most likely to provide by bulletin board material. Your we're looking at right there. Frank Clark I mean and it's not so much that he's GonNa say something that's outlandish just. He's so passionate hashing it and he. He fills in a way that that defense has been disrespected that they've been overlooked. And when you've gotten this far you have obviously obviously done some things right which they have and and Frank Clark might give us something. Give give them forty nine or something to talk about Richard Sherman now wow and mentor ceremonies so company. He hears and sees everything nothing gets past him. So I think the Kansas City chiefs guys gotTa Watch. They don't say too much during the median day and and You know watch off Richardson because we like fields his can be one of the most dominant defense players in the game. Yeah I'M GONNA go with Gregg with Frank Clark by the way all the folks who've and telling me for years bulletin zero can give it to him. Give them awful quiet after frank. Clark says we're GONNA SHUT DOWN Derrick Henry he ain't that good.

"In the NFL. Facing off the many mess ups to watch Jimmy Garoppolo and Patrick Mahomes Greg who is most likely to win. MVP OF SUPER BOWL fifty fifty four will be in that. I'm picking the forty niners. I gotta go with a forty niner. Sorry Nick Raising Bobby. Yesterday I'll get yours Kitto KITTO. I know we've been focusing on the running game with the forty niners but George was everything for this offense. Both in the running game as world is passing game and if he can have a couple of opportunities that's all he needs to be special Georgia. I gotta go Apache Mahomes on the biggest stage two biggest game. I cannot see this guy not showing us what he's showing us for the last three years. MVP caliber player steps up to the challenge and He does everything that we expect to. I agree with Michael Vick thousand percent. He is in the as he is right now. According to pro football his face face having the greatest playoff ron up to the super bowl statistically for quarterback ever the chiefs have one way to win this game. Mahomes be sensational mahomes. We'll also play a monster game. Unlike you I am picking the chiefs so of course. Picking Patrick Mahomes Saloon Super Bowl. I moved on Super Bowl. Fifty four features for APPs that you best offenses in the NFL and a lot of explosive offensive players on both teams greg which players most like most likely to for multiple touchdowns tyreek Hugh. I mean. Even though I'm digging it I understand what they're faced facing in offense in Kansas City and tyreek hill is a huge reason why they're so successful and when I look at the forty niners in how who they can cover and who they can. This is a guy you just can't cover you just can't cover. I like tyreek Hill Ryan. Most of the way he dismantled the Green Bay packers. He's fresh. Josh is young. Doesn't have a lot of tread on the tires. And these guys that has been used all year. They got three good back so he was able to be used sporadically likely in the running back and I think he has a lot to prove based on the way he had come through the ranks and NFL. I WANNA go Travis Kelsey because I the chiefs as great as they've been offense the last couple of years once they get in that goal line situation. They actually haven't been great. They've struggled a bit until these playoffs..

"How many of you ever met your roommate Greg Jennings who now is a professional body builder and I was like man before we started this interview a man just pulled out a Tupperware bowl full of chicken and rice what in the world is going unlike what brings you to the point where you are now packet lunches do you know what I do I do I am ready it's all about a meal prep is that it is all about in the more you get acclimated to doing it the easier it gets and so that's where I'm at now but is mandatory like I knew if nothing else when I was here today I was going to have my food really so tell me about this because this is kind of interesting because we have so many people in Colorado like most of America who is under the the idea that this year is going to be a great deal a great year for them because of their fitness level and they're going to eat better and it is just started was this something that you have been doing for awhile because as a pro athlete it's kind of a it's kind of crazy to see a guy walking around with his meal when when meals are always available in the facility yes so it I've been doing this now for about three months on and honestly I was inspired by my wife brand recently ran her first marathon not a runner hates rock hated running in she does want to do something she thought she signed up for a half marathon up and got the open the deal and it was a full marathon and she said well I signed up for some doing it in so she did that my my wish would I need to do something and so I started looking at men's physique which is there's levels to categories about a billion misses the classic dizzy and actual body building where you know Mr Olympia and all that and man I started doing it and started training not like a functional athlete the more high purchase fees style training in my body has never felt better in never responded the way that is right now because that's what it is was he played ten years in the National Football League you know you've got your Superbowl ring on you trained hard you train hard I mean it's been a world class athlete this is a hold this is a whole different thing and it's a whole different structure I mean how many calories you haven't put down today four thousand now women with a total a total four thousand total four thousand well let's see this is this is what's crazy no to the calories eggs that that's what we do four thousand calories I think I have four thousand calories with my five dies yesterday went to Burger seriously though like I was just talking about this on the way in people can consume that amount of calories easily pending on what you're taking in and if you're a chips or candy and soda like you can get that immediately where it takes me like over the course of five six mills to literally consume those calories because they're calculated their clean up called clean K. like clean carbs my fibrils card my protein is all little league calculated like I'm literally six and a half ounces of protein every protein that I every male in Dan I'm three hundred fifty grams of carbs three hundred twenty five grams across so everything or yeah everything is kind of calculated in structure to where I know exactly what I'm taking in so the moment I start to cut which right now I'm in a caloric surplus so that means I'm trying to put taking in more calories and I'm burning not really trying to gain a lot of weight just trying to gain more muscle mass in so that when I going to prep weeks I can start to strip by just taking eliminating calories I got is not going to be a whole lot of conditioning and running side about this matter look at the smile on your face I get generator go to training camp never seen I've never seen anybody excited to go to training camp but you look like you are right about this next bit Sir in your life I am it was exciting is the way.

"There's a wildcard game going on right now. We're taping this Tuesday night and let me see. Oh my God three nothing brewers I went nats run line and I went this is great I went nats or online and I bet under four and a half home runs in the game which was even and the bruise to its great grand. AL homered good job by sure about. That's another first extending homerun style. Did he really yeah as I five. I thought he had a good first five or something I was like. He hasn't really been good in September but he's shut down. The Moore's a mess. I'M GONNA lose this all right but there's other games than there's the raise AIDS tomorrow. Then the established series Atlanta's Saint Louis later in the week the Yankees twins then dodgers will play the winner of the National League Wild Card and the Astros win of the American League wild-card now. These astros are a two two one favourite to win it. All that's as low as it gets right guys entering the playoffs but said one hundred seven wins they they really do seem like they have the arms. They have that one stat with balls and play which is lower than anyone the lead in the last decade or something. It's crazy I'm GonNa give you you guys a chance who he got the best bet you can go to Beaune. Go World Series. You can go nationally American league. You can go series and one of these established matchups. Let's start with you. Paulie kit well. I'M NOT GONNA play around here sal and for as much as I would love to see he my Yankees and brother Bras the Yankees advanced to the world series. I just don't think they can get by the Astros so I'm taking the Astros and dodgers as the world series matchup at plus two seven kind of an interesting number right there but yeah I mean I I think so look. I'll give you the reasons for not taking the Yankees because I'm a Yankee Fan but Brian knows this if they're fortunate enough to get through the first round which I think they they will defeat the twins and I think the ash will take care of business on there and Yankees just have too many holes in their line up in terms of strikeouts and what these power arms is that the Astros are going to throw out you. They're just the most well rounded team right now the Yankees if I too many injuries to overcome they just lost their You know her mind and they're winning pitcher this year. Due to the domestic violence issue which obviously well-deserved on his part to be suspended I and and they bullpen is tiring right now for the Yankees this ashes team has they have they've gone through any type of Haven't they've been peaking. I think towards yeah the Yankees I think a little getting a little tired I think with all the injuries catching up this asa team is still surging so burland go Co Cranky this pitching staff I and batting average against third and they are a second whip and look at the same formula for the dodgers with their pitching staff the second in batting average against I in whip second in the IRA to great staffs. This is what it comes down to the the playoffs both these teams kind of on a mission to make it this year to the world series plus two. Oh seven still like the fact that I'm getting some some decent odds there. I I think this is the match up. Let's take all right. That's interesting because it's a almost the same odds as the Astros just to win the world series so you could take the astros hope I hope they get by the NFL team and not have to worry if the dodgers get upset but on the other hand you think dodgers could maybe beat them in the world series right. Is that why you would take that. I think I think they're the one team because they can match up with the arms. You know their arms can match up. I still think the Astros would be the favourite in that world series. That's for sure but there's anything that can go with the dodgers right Harry. You tried to take the nationals today. Eh and I was like no don't do stupid. We're going to be doing a podcast during that game. They might not be around and you're not going to get eight to one odds anyway. Anyone who's listening because the Jim Cunningham is GonNa put this up later tonight and all right but I'm telling you now. They're down three nothing anyway it doesn't it doesn't really matter then you switch gears. You went back to your old roots. The Atlanta braves aged yeah. The Atlanta braves four to one to win the National League pennant. I'm last year. Brave did get a taste of the post season. Listen three games to one of the division service to Los Angeles they only batted one fifty four team then they only had two home run now to get to the dodgers in the National League Championship series area something the braves can do a lot. This year is a lot of home runs remain at thirty eight hundred twenty one are easing the Kunia junior at forty one Donaldson Jonathan at thirty seven and I love this matchup against the cards. The cards were twenty four in the majors and Homerun while the braves were eighth. cardinals twenty third in the average when the braves were at nine and the bridge also seventh in runs scored cardinals nineteenth. I think this is the sweep of the braves against the cards and then when they get the dodgers if it turns into defense at the dodgers at twenty five more errors in the braves did and I know it's a long shot because the dodgers I just are rolling everywhere except maybe if you can keep it close and get a couple of home runs these games close killys. He'll for the dodgers really is closer. Oser Count Kenley Jansen I mean I don't know if he's GonNa. He's no guaranteed so do you go to Medina instead. You know what that certain juncture in the eighth or ninth inning because Janssen. There's no guarantee right all right. Br You hate this. Pick you hate this braves. Pick we were all over the cardinals ride around mid season right we had them the win the division and and whether I would would we love them the win division right well to make the playoffs there. I think midway through the season they were forty four and forty four. They finished up the cardinals finished. It's a forty seven hundred twenty seven the second half but there were like three to one to make the playoffs at that point in time. I'm not even I can't even remember what they were to win. The division was probably like five to one five or six but can I say what is it with Harry between it's like I know you say he has quirks in terms of what he picks between like upstate New York Arizona or Atlanta you. I knew as soon as you told him he couldn't pick the national tonight. I knew it was gonna be the break. It's just something about Atlanta. Yeah you know what I know. You're right. I should just let them take the nationals and then he talked his way out of it. He would have had a hype up the nationals who were down on three nothing now and that would have been the way to go to the watching the dodgers. Aren't we bored of it. Come on let's get somebody flushing there. By by the way the braves also at the same record on the road of the dodgers so they won't be afraid to go to Shabazz Rabin steal a game like the cardinals you can find them to find the cardinals against Atlanta. That is in this year so you can find them. I was looking for value. I didn't really love value in any of the first round matches. I thought this this is the only one that gives you a little bit of value anywhere from Plus One plus one thirty like we said second after year they've they've played great forty seven and twenty seven they had they were the top five year eight for starters and relievers this year which is going to be key in the playoffs. Um especially with the League relievers. They get clarity for two of the five starts and he's been one of the best pitchers in baseball so far. I just think they're veteran bats while they have been so inconsistent. Throughout the year I think between Goldschmidt Uzun ah some some of those guys are going to get some key hits in this series and I said the cardinals Wenden five and Brian I saw the cardinals at seven to one to win the National League and it's not bad because they they played tough they played the dodgers toughest Chavez Ravine and at the swap them when they went to Saint Louis. I'm pretty sure that was the case so they're going to be. I I think they're gonNA be around the knee and now parlay kid. You did something I don't know if you meant to do this but you put the Yankees in the Al Cs against the Astros that I'd say not so fast yeah I know they won four six against the twins dad. That was a crazy series in July fifty-seven combined twenty home runs but I I think that this is being played in the first week October before it gets cold and the bats die at that favors the twins a little severino played this team start against them in the wildcard twenty seventeen. He got one out and he was out. I just can't believe the home runs. I know it doesn't matter late October but it might still got Nelson Cruz cruise Kepler Encino. There's one hundred resign another thirty one. I think like eight players hit twenty or more home runs you can have happened. Sobat the could end up in the bullpen they have trouble against righties you brought up all the problems with Paxton and can RCA on what's going to be with these guys. I think there's going to be a million pitchers used in the series. It's GonNa be a crap absolute. I'd rather have the plus one forty five you little you have to be a little nervous about this twin steam rights yeah. I'm very nervous. I think you know the Yankees. It's hard ought to say when the Yankees overachieved you know sell like because nobody wants to hear that there's still a team with a big payroll and but I really do think they overachieved this this year the twin remarkable. Nobody wants to hear that with the twins. The twins of have had a remarkable year for themselves. I think anything less than the Yankees wanted to get bounced out of this around. against the twins. I think it would be be termed the disappointment for the Yankees. I think they'll just find a way to get through this. Here's I don't buy like well how the Yankees have owned the twins and the playoffs. This is team has nothing to do with any teams that have beaten the twins teams over the years really and vice versa for the twins teams as different. Work Ball Delis done a great job job as their manager over there for the twins yeah I'm worried about it and I do believe that season Kinda turn be a bust for the Yankees to not get through this round. I you know what was it you or was it..

"His cadence on let them show what they're gonna do. And what they're what they're going to as far as coverages. And then Lau him so work. That's where he's been on his best throughout his career. But specifically now because there's no creativity. If you're not going to be creative. Okay. Let's let's go. What we what we do? But let the guy who can get you in the best situation do it and right now horizon. So what would you say to those who who are somewhat critical of Rogers play right now that he doesn't take the easy throw. He doesn't check it down when it's necessary. How do you? How do you say? Okay. I I agree with that. When when you look at the situations that he's an most of the time he feels as though he has to make that big throw or that that big play which is getting them in trouble. Because right now, there's been no aim that they have just flat out in out of the last their road losing streak right now. And when you have an arm like Aaron Rodgers possesses is hard. It is almost impossible to not. So case that on like, you just you want to you can't take the check and become that quarterback. But I feel like in all for them to be successful with Mike McCarthy calling place. He has to do those types of things to sustain. Is not throw the ball out of and throw it away. Just take the check down moved the chains during four yards in and go that way. But if they're if he's only to do that, which he has shown that he's not willing to allow the offense that way, we can say, okay. Is it is it or is it there? And if it is last one for you on this subject. Greg Jennings here on the rich Eisen show. Do you agree that the it is time for the Rogers McCarthy marriage and? Man. I've I've been wanting to say, no. But the more I watched him it's like the more. It's like a growing frustration every time they're unable to come away with a big win, which is every week from here on out. They must win in look at that. And I look at how they they perform on all since his numbers. Although they are great when it comes to looking at them individually statistically, he he's putting up great numbers. But he also is putting up some of the poorest that he's ever put up, and I think that has to be accredited to number one his health number two the play call. Well, I mean, I'm just at least glad for you, Greg and for Packers nation that at least you've got that ring. Right. I mean, but but that said. In any Rogers McCarthy era, just in terms of that dozen years just having the conversation about what other goat quarterbacks have been in the league. Rogers in McCarthy kind of lead the league in needing to run the table in order to save a season to make the playoffs and go on a run. I mean Brady and Brees. I'm just going through the Big Ben, even maybe Philip rivers is the only other one right now that they've got to go on a run all the time. It just seems that they're always in the relax or chill out mode or whatever. And so my question for you is that if McCarthy does go who do you think would be the right fit for Rogers as he approaches his dotage years in his final window of opportunity to try and bring another one at title town. You know that that's that's interesting. Issue with a guy like Aaron Rodgers is you have such a talent in in a guy who who really is. D'auvergne being wants to do it his way he's kind of bullish if you will but in so you have to have a coordinator head coach guy that can challenge his not only his his intellect but him on the football field. In. There's not too many guys out there that can do that that I feel like he will respect enough. Like, you know, there we were a few weeks ago talking about the percents if they were to swap like in Aaron would have that relationship that have been with one another would it have been as great as Tom Brady for sure I believe that it would or better, but you have to have.

"We'll discuss both subjects with Greg Jennings. Will be joining us shortly. He's kind of our Packers expert. And Jeff Schwartz. Former giant now that's Espy nation. Lots to talk about with him. He's an hour number two. But speaking about putting final nail in the coffin. Let's get to it. My alma mater at opportunity to put that nail seems to be in urban Meyer's coaching tenure at Ohio State had that opportunity to go into horseshoe. And show that the revenge tour that had been building was going to exact its final. Pound of flesh serve up the coldest dish that could be served up had that opportunity with one of the top defenses in the entire country at its disposal at its disposal. The best quarterback that Michigan has had with all due respect to others that have been playing for Jim Harbaugh over the last few years, and you know, I love Wilton Speight. Had a running back that run for thousand yards had a defensive coordinator that was playing a very hot hand despite Indiana being able to move the ball against Michigan. My alma mater. My team my school had the opportunity to win the game that it should have to win the game. It was expected to win. And finally give all of us what we want more than anything else. And that might be. Our problem because it's the national championship. It's the ability to look every Buckeye in the face and tell them. Shut up. Don't take in it. We're done taking. And instead, what happened was an unmitigated disaster. Monumental proportions breakdowns on every side of the ball. Every phase of the game and to give up sixty points. Was a true. Absolute nightmare to watch. I don't know what else to say. I have no retort. There is no retort. I'm retort Lewis. Is that a word? Can you look that up? Okay. It is normally I would rely on my Michigan education on that front to know off the top of my head. But it's except there's no retort. There's no answer. There's no like, yeah. Well, your coach was suspended or anything. Like, there's no we can't even go there. And I'm not doing that just to be passive aggressive to even mention it. There's no answer. There's no response. This was the should win. This was the half to win. This was the win in which one more game after it and the big ten championship game. And suddenly Michigan's got the chance to play for all into fall apart. And I understand there were some. Injuries of note. I mean when Devon Bush goes down. That's that's that's when all those runs around the edges opened up. That's when the roof totally fell in. There's no answer. There's no response. Now, I understand everybody's going to be level. What do you do about Jim Harbaugh? He's family now that may be part of the issue as he is family. His DNA is woven almost damn near literally into this program. But four years in he even he would admit no wins against urban Meyer, a split regular season big east. I mean, big ten east division title is just not what we were hoping for when he came off of San Francisco sideline begging him from to do it. I know of nobody who I'm friends with or know from Michigan who wants this guy fired. I'm not one of them either. Okay because Michigan is relevant again. And the fact that I got to sit down and watch your game where there was so much on the line was dammed refreshing until you know, what's the word Ford. Kickoff happen. You know? So I have no answers anybody who might be calling for an answer. I don't know what the answer is. Because there are talented kids wearing. The great helmet. They're talented in there. They're not getting from what I can see understanding in trouble. There's no there's no shame. Except in the fact, you give up sixty points to urban Meyer when you have the opportunity to maybe send him off the sidelines at Ohio State, which he may do anyway. It's just a nightmare. It absolutely sickened me. And then I go to work and game day morning for our show and mariuchi and Kurt and Irv. My buddies stuck at to me. People are texting me like a member of my family passed away unique unwanted you wanna text me,.

Brett Favre: 'Mike McCarthy is an excellent coach'

"Brett farve came out in support of Mike McCarthy this week. Oh. La pressure on Aaron Rodgers earned. Unlike him Brett says he is an excellent coach that might hurt. The I think Mike is is an excellent coach they have to win. And I think when and hurry or something may happen there earns playing outstanding. And really keeping them in games. Their defense is really at times looking really good opportunistic aggressive, but I don't see that. I see a lot of potential. I just think that they're underachieving little bit right now. Okay. Of course farve connects with Mike McCarthy, first of all the personalities old school. Little stubborn their cut from the same cloth. The other thing is McCarthy saved Forbes career Mike Sherman was a bad NFL coach Green Bay was four and twelve McCarthy came in and turned it around in two years. They went eight an eight and then went thirteen and three. So, of course, farve loves him. He read I'd love a boss to if he resurrected my career ours loves him. The second thing is never forget this McCarthy use. Used to be in San Francisco and his Greg Jennings. Told us the former Packer he didn't love Aaron Rodgers coming out of college. The thing about Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy that people miss sometimes who's the number one overall pick the year Aaron Rogers came out Alex Smith who was his offense coordinator, Mike McCarthy. And it would just be so random in Aaron we'll take a shot at Mike like, oh, yeah. Like how you picked Alex Smith. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So listen farve is gonna love McCarthy. Same personality cut from the same clause resurrected his career. And there's no question that Aaron Rodgers is a different dude. The McCarthy he inherits McCarthy McCarthy is farve guy and McCarthy wants passed on him. I I'm not a grudge holder. But I don't forget stuff, I forgive. And I don't forget about I'm not a grudge holder. But if Aaron Rodgers is like can come guy. He's right McCarthy's kind of afar of guy and so. Farve comes out and says I love Mike McCarthy. I totally get it completely absolutely explainable. I do think McCarthy and Rogers twelve years in time for divorce. There are always hear horror stories about bad divorces McCarthy will get under job, Aaron we get a more progressive offensive mind. It will all be good Aaron have after this year. Another good for years. I'll be last physically Khalil Mack twice a year. Biking's defense twice a year. But Aaron's going to have an ice for years after this year. They're not gonna make the playoffs this year.

"Weekdays at noon eastern, nine AM Pacific. All right. Let's go via the cower global satellite network. The former Packer Greg Jennings is now joining us. Okay. It's another road game. And it's another struggle. I want it. I want to I'm not going to blame. Anybody? All I've ever said is Aaron deserves some of the heat even Troy Aikman said it last night on that final drive. He skipped ball. I Don I don't think McCarthy's Sean McVeigh the defense. Let him down at the end. But let's just be honest, Greg. He did not have a great final drive. Is that fair for me to say on presented fear and a hundred percent accurate? We all witnessed that game in that final drive. And it wasn't the Aaron Rodgers that we thought we would see in. And I think this is what people have to understand about a guy like Aaron Rodgers is. He great, absolutely. Would. I take him as one of the best quarterbacks. Ever play this game. Yes. But he thrives on off schedule plays. Yes. That's always been who he is. So when you have a as as simple as that one two three step out route was he never that's never been his strength. He can do it as best as all the rest of the guys. But he doesn't do it as frequently. So sometimes you are going to get those Aaron throws because he that's not the way he goes about his business. He's an off schedule guy who who enjoys in likes to extend plays get which adds pressure or won't defenders and forces them to cover a little bit longer which rates a higher opportunity for penalties down the field into passing game. So it wasn't shocking. But it isn't it isn't a little alarming. If you're the pack to issues, and I've said this. Aaron gets hit a lot the two quarterbacks in the league that takes shots a lot Cam Newton and Aaron but Cam has built for those collisions six six fifty five Aaron six to fifteen he's going to be thirty five. He just got done wearing a brace. There were three or four times last night. You talk about unscheduled place. Is it time? I understand it's cool to drive a motorcycle. But at some point after the third rack, it's time to buy a car is it time for Aaron to be a little more of a pocket guy going forward because last night he got smoked three or four times. Well, he talks about playing until he's in his forties in. I just don't see it happening. If he remains as mobile in outside the pocket heavy as he has always been throughout his career as long as he wants to play. He's going to have to start when finding his game in fine tuning his game to where he can stay within the pocket, and he can literally dissect you within the pocket when she is. He's fully capable. Yes. Absolutely. Yes. But he just he does not like to stay within that for whatever reason. He's more comfortable more, electrifying. More exciting outside the pocket. Yeah. I think it's great point. We had somebody on this week that said and they love Aaron Rodgers. They said Brady's one Super Bowls with these like death by a thousand cuts drives would Aaron Aaron be patient enough in a Super Bowl to do that. He is so great. You know, it's almost Chris Carter. Chris Carter, the great Chris Carter said this wants to me. It's almost. Biblical if you were born with a great singing voice, you're gonna wanna sing in the shower in your car, if you had an arm like Aaron Rodgers, Greg you'd wanna show it off wouldn't you one hundred percent, again, this is I remember playing with the Packers in hearing some of the comments from opposing defensive coordinators and their mission was or their game plan was keep everything in front of him force him to take it down the field, dating and donkey taking check down taking the ten yard hitches and all these passes that you can live by but you you can bend. But not break can't will continue to do that. No air is going to want to throw the ball down the field show off that aren't that's his strength. Yeah. But he also I think he what he has to understand that he knows this is that as long as the ball is in my hand and..

Philadelphia Eagles, Vikings and Kirk Cousins discussed on Skip and Shannon: Undisputed

"Kirk cousins made his Vikings debut on Saturday and Denver, and look, radio only played one series, but when a perfect four, four, including touchdown, pass to step on days. Last week we should report put the Vikings number one in their preseason power rankings, and we are now joined by vox NFL analyst and former Viking, Greg, jenning. Thank you for joining us on this Monday. This is an easy question for me, but I like your opinion, is Minnesota the best team in the NFL? No, they are not. No, they're not. Philadelphia Eagles are the best team in National Football League. There are most recent Super Bowl champion. They have not done anything that leads me to believe they did not get better. They did not improve going back to the Vikings. However, if if I were to rank them, I would rank them one to somewhere around there. The NFC is so cluttered at the top right now. There's there's so many great teams that have great potential vite the Vikings being one of them. Obviously, we saw where they ended up last year. But here's why I say that they're not when you take a quarterback in case keenum who let's say he was a b to a b, plus quarterbacks his with his performance with this performance. Then you, you take him, you remove him and you insert Kirk cousins. You don't gain that much. You get better in my opinion, but you don't gain enough to where I can just automatically say you're the best team. Now, when I look at the way they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in that NFC championship game, if they have Kirk cousins, do they win? I don't think so. So I don't give them the throne just yet. They have to prove it in their schedule will let us know real soon whether or not they can handle being one of the bullies in the NFL right now they have a, they have great depth. I love their coach. Probably one of my favorite coaches in the NFL right now and Mike Zimmer. I think his mentality, his approach his his way that he has shifted the kosher there. It's permeated through every single player. Only the players, but the people within the organization, just his approach to the game in his approach to winning. And I don't think that you can just dethrone the Philadelphia Eagles with the moves that they made in acquiring Mike Wallace lowly, NADA, Michael Bennett. All these other guys, acquisitions, let alone they get Carson wins back at some point this season. And that last point. This is why say yes, gift, because I don't know the health status of Carson Wentz currently, and you look at what Minnesota's done with this. You look at their delight limb Bill Joe's Everson Griffen Harrison Smith Kendrick bar. They're loaded defensively offensively. Now they had they were, I think, pro football focus. Bleacher reports. They had the number one receiving core with the day. Rudolph bring down and cook back down and cope with having an unbelievable year before he went down. Now the the thing that separates them that a no break. Owner, if Phillies line is good, as we got next Dallas, they might have the second best offense of land. I believe Kirk cousins is substantial upgrade over case keenum substantial.
