"And i get that but that defense even before that but probably going to be back i i have some hesitation here because of the way the dolphins play. It'll probably be close in the fourth quarter and there. There is some positive news for the raiders. Are getting back probably this week. Henry ruggs jalen rashard cleveland. Feral damon are net and jonathan abram. I mean that's a lotta. That's a lot of the lock. Angle but the raiders. The raiders are cooked. They'll they'll find a way to lose if they found a way to lose that game last thursday. What makes me think miami. A well coached team. That's gotten the ga- got done a week. After week is going to now. I'm starting to get a bit nervous about this. But for now i'm going to hang with switch off of it. I don't like be on the same pick. anyways it gets boring. You're on my pick your online. Exactly there's no guys working out. Okay all right. Let's move to the sunday and monday. Primetime games all right now. Now we're talking now. We're talking some football tennessee. Titans at green bay packers. I dunno i was gonna say al chris and michelle but al michaels unfortunately came down with the rona. And that means. Mike rico's been getting a lot of minutes this is a great game is a tremendous game tennessee. Titans and set it on last sunday's podcasts. I'll say it again tannen hill. What he's brought that organization. It's unbelievable they. I looked it up. 'cause i knew it wasn't a lot but i did look it up just to check. And the miami. Dolphins sent tanna hill to the titans. A was tannahill and a sixth round. Pick and the titans setback a fourth round pick and a seventh round. Pick that that kind of tells you where tannahill was at that point in his career and now you look where he is. Now he's gonna to end up this season with close to forty total touchdowns and everyone looks at derrick henry and rightfully so. Because he's a stud and he hit two thousand yards this year. He's having a hall of fame. Type run these last three years. But it's amazing. What tannahill is brought offense. And now he's up. Against a greg aaron rodgers and the green bay packers. Who continue to win. They look like they're going to be the number one seed in the nfc weeks. At least it hasn't exactly been a dominating team this feels like it's going to be a good game. Yeah and if they don't win this game you know they're gonna have to play week seventeen to try to get that one. I'm i'm excited. And it does make you think about the relationship between henry and tanno. You mentioned the the rushing yards that henry had. I read this week in the two thousand. Six games without tannahill before he arrived is fifteen hundred yards less than what he's got with tannehill in in the games so yeah he has thirty two hundred yards in twenty six games with tannehill. Seventeen otherwise so. It's it's a symbiotic relationship. He was disappointed tannehill not to make the proble disappointed for him. This is one of those years. There won't be alternates. You remember. Andy dalton would make it every year is like the seven the time timeframe roller deserved for because everyone who has pissed tannehill then make it and then i looked and it's like okay. Do you take josh allen. Mahomes or watson out. You could take watson out if you wanted He certainly had a better season. Then kyle murray. But that's an it's an nfc afc thing or even russell wilson. That's how good Tanna hill's been in rushing game rushing matchup in this one is awesome. I love that. They've been using aaron jones as a real primary back. They didn't do it all year until the last two games. He's been splitting work. I think they saved them up for december. And now he's getting seventy five eighty percent of the snaps and that makes them a lot better. And also i mean you look at the titans the thing more than any other team when they are on and we've talked about the high floor of their offense they have broken people by halftime. So i think this is fascinating. Because i don't entirely trust either defense. Wouldn't it be amazing. Tennessee could do something to affect our. Make the packers uneasy. I don't trust that to happen. Aaron rodgers sacked five times last week. That's not been the case with that offense. Carolina made them real uncomfortable early later on in the game. And i don't know if tennessee can do that but the tennessee titans. When they've been good to your point dan they've been balanced. It's not just derrick. Henry like they've couple of these games when they've been up thirty five whatever at halftime. It's been a split between their air yards in their ground yards so if they can achieve that this will be the game of the week. I never trust game of the week. Slow something always goes wrong. So i will wait and say i mean if you are somebody who loves points this this is pointing toward should shoot out. There should be two teams that are going up and down the field. I have no doubts. Tennessee is going to move. The ball. Against mike patton's defense. Just think they'll be able to run it. And then i think they'll be able to throw it and score three or four touchdowns at the very least and then it just becomes a issue. Can the packers keep up. While they have aaron rodgers. But i watched the game last week at the packers played when they went totally dry in the second half did give me some pause like could that happen in the big spot in the season or am i being a little have become spoiled by aaron rodgers success this year he. He deserves the benefit of the doubt. That that's not gonna happen in a game like this big spotlight game with big ramifications for both teams big. Mvp i think game two for rodgers if he had two straight. I mean i'm sure he'll do. Well it's it's how how well but he needs to light up the titans on national. You know the these games shouldn't matter are but they just do and in the packers it. It should matter more for them they. It's not their fault. The scheduled they've played but they they someone pointed out they have as many wins the season over winning teams as the jets. Do right which was the lois ago. So lowest strength of schedule in the league by a decent amount the second lowest strength of victory which is just like the quality of the teams. You beat In the league..

"With a variety of things. The job loss being one but do take us up on that and John. We'll give us details here how to contact us you a phone. Call Away if you'd like to talk to counselor. We'll set that up if you'd like to get a copy of this great book by Greg and Aaron called reconnected. We do have that and we'd be happy to send a copy out to you. Our phone number is eight hundred a family and you can also click the link in the episode notes. Greg Aaron let me move to another topic. you call it bids for connection again in this context. What does that mean? Anytime our spouse or even our kids anytime they ask something. They request something like yesterday with with Anne Immune. She was frustrated with her math homework. She came down. She was actually making a bid for connection underneath. Her bid was dead. I need help in in all those. She didn't handle it. Great it's still a bid and I had an opportunity. I could have made a hand motion to Shishir to leave and get out war. I took five seconds. I told my colleagues. GimMe a few seconds here and I said. Hey I really do want to help you. Let me have thirty minutes to finish this up and then I'll come up in help you. This is the kind of thing that happens. Constantly throughout the day in we have a choice of what will we do? So when our spouse ask for something or or makes a comment or share something? How are we going to respond? Because there are several options we can acknowledge it and say it's really cool or we can resist it and say well that stupid or we can completely turn away. Yeah Hey Greg you alluded to this but I wanna I wanNA resurface it. Where your daughter? She didn't accept your counter offer for thirty minutes. Give me thirty minutes no way. I can't wait that long. And I I just WANNA raise that up to the marriage level if they bid for connection is made. But it's not the right time like the fourth quarter of Broncos football game or whatever it might be how does the person receiving the bid handle that wisely You know obviously with your daughter. It's going to be a little different but I would think with Aaron and Aaron. You could speak to this too. What happens with rejection of your bid for connection anytime that someone gives a bid. Yeah we have a choice in with Anne. I told her this is what I could do. I acknowledge that she gave a bid. I hear you. I know you want help. I just need thirty minutes in the same with Aaron. If Aaron walks in and I'm in the middle of something even the fourth quarter of a broncos game I can always say hey I I hear you just give me ten minutes in. This is going to be done and then I will come find you were responding to it. I mean she's restart. I'm saying I hear you. This is what could work in. We can go from there. But there's also moments that we're not going to handle it well that we're GONNA be irritated annoyed and snarky comment back but if that happens and you recognize you. That's what I did the thing that I encourage. My couples to do is to go back and just say hey. I didn't handle that well. That wasn't my that was my b-game Jimmy try that again. I want you to know I care. And I want to hear from you. And so it's just revisiting it and all. This is kind of wrapped around that communication issue. You mentioned four key. Conversations couples should mention. I think this is a good takeaway right at the end here. What are the four and highlight a couple of them yet. Some of the conversations just naturally occur was what we call small talk so it says hey. How's the weather? What do you got going on today? So we have to do that. We just you know we're we're going to have sort of this small talk and what it does is it. Creates a small connection without sort of a deeper emotional vulnerability. Yeah and then. There's work talk that we've gotta look at schedules and who's doing what and you know dealing with tours and on and on so we're talk again happens naturally in often. We spent a lot of time there. Because we're trying to navigate life together. You know we have to talk through problems so one is just problem. Talk in we've gotTA deal with conflicts. That come up in. The dog chewed through my cord. And now I'm mad and so we'll have to work through that by tell you the thing that we've learned is small talk work talk in. Problem Talk. Those will all happen naturally. We just got to deal with that stuff. There's one though that can make such a big difference in our marriage that will never happen on. Its own we have to be intentional. And that's the heart talk talking at that deeper. Inner life level that were really connecting heart to heart. Because I know for me personally. That's something I long for. I long to know what's going on inside of Greg and I longed to share what's going on inside of me. I personally did not get married to be stuck in an eternal business meeting with Gregg. You know talking about finances in conflict. Would I really long for is to know that he cares? I carried hearing. What's really going on? But that will not happen intentionally unless we pursue it in. What I've learned to do with Aaron is I asked her one time so if I'm going to find out more of how you're feeling and what are you dreaming about. Would he fearful about? I need to like what would I ask you like? Is there some questions that I could ask? Instantly she goes. I got four and I went. Whoa we'll think about it for a second. I she goes out. Come up with ten. How many do you want if I think about it? I'm like I can handle four in. This is made such a big difference for us. She said ask me. How are you doing emotionally? Ask me how things are going between me and the kids. Not FROM A business standpoint. Relational her Thanksgiving between me and the kids as I said as an extrovert friendships are so important. Her so she said asked me our things going between me in my friends and then asked me. What's one thing that God's been teaching me lately in so I had memorized those in so when we're maybe at the dinner table when we're you know driving someday when we get to go back to a restaurant or go to a theater you know on the driving? Those are the opportunities where I can ask her. Those because it's all about disdain. Current you know Erin is constantly changing in if not pursuing her just to find out what's really going on on the inside. I may miss something something might be going on that. I'm not aware of. I love my favorite group journey member. The old group journey they they have a song faithfully in there. They use the words. I get the joy of rediscovering you in. That's the goal that I wanNA rediscover earn over and over and over and the only way that's ever GonNa Happen is if I intentionally ask kind those kinds of questions. Yeah let me ask. Maybe the hard question. Why is it within marriage that we tend to trigger each other so easily? We're kind of tolerant of people outside that intimate relationship and will take a few blows. That's okay that's just how George axe or you know as just what Susie does But when it comes to this relationship husband and wife we we tend to have very short fuses. We light off quickly when Were triggered with our spouse. I guess that is the question. Why are we so temperamental with the closest relationship? We have on this earth. Well you're you're saying exactly the reason that it is the closest relationship we have on this side of heaven and it's vulnerable. There's a lot at risk. What if I'm rejected? There's much more there than that's at risk with a CO worker or a friend you know we can give grace there but it's looking at this impacts me more. This is vulnerable. This could hurt me more into its recognizing that we do have the opportunity to give grace here as well and were much more likely to give grace outside the home especially in this season Jim. It's important that we utilized giving grace. But we're only gonNA give grace from a place of fullness in from God's grace it's given to us so it's important that we are connecting with him. Each and every day knowing that spouse will more than likely pressure buttons because at this level of connection there's a high probability you won't know how to ground beef properly a sore spot when that happens recognizing I have control of me and I can choose how I react to that or I step back and then I can give an open hearted response to that. I get to choose. And then the communication and coming together and really talking heart to heart about what went on is key. Yeah now I really appreciate that and I think that's where a lot of people live. We don't extend grace to the person that's the closest to Jesus said love your neighbor will guess what in this context particularly with sheltering in place. Your neighbor is your spouse for love right there. Yeah it's so good and there. There is so much here and I'm looking forward to coming back and talking. More about reconnected. Maybe in a different context. Not a corona virus context and really. Let me turn to the listeners. This is good stuff One thing I'd like to do John is go ahead and post those four discussion topics online. So if you want to see those again. Go to the website to get that. And I didn't get to this question but I would assume the answer from Greg and Aaron would be. What's you know one thing? A couple could do today to change that trajectory. It's go to those four discussion points and put them into practice and that will begin. Change that relationship in your outcome and also that extension of grace to the one. You love so Greg and Aaron thank you so very much for being with us. We so appreciate it. You guys are so gifted and you're doing a wonderful job here. Focus on the family helping marriages in this country and literally around the world. Thank you thank you and will encourage you to get in touch with us You can look for those four topics for every marriage to really consider having on a regular basis along with the full book by Greg. Near and smalley called reconnected. We mentioned earlier. We'd be happy to set up a time for you to talk to a counselor if you're really struggling and kind of in a dead end spot and not sure how to kind of restore the relationship to what. "The NFL. those receivers our garbage now God bless them they end elite but they shouldn't be plan with Tom Brady and that was the embarrassment Yeah God bless you I mean they in the league and they wanted to sixty eight hundred best players in the world but hey listen now this is all kinds of manure in ocean now you've got some deeper than the other this there in the league he shouldn't have have to be subjected to playing with guys like that and you can't do anything about the offensive line that's no one's fault suffered injuries it's not like they said Hey Brady got you know offensive Lineman this year which is GonNa be injured they spent a first round pick on his Asia win he's been hurt twice they had an excellent center he got hurt for the first time that this happens the white and the wide receiver situation they have tried to address it now they they got him a good wide receiver. Once upon a time recently brandon cokes they use them for a year and then if we can we we bought at this price we insult price even if we maybe should hold it this is going to be an issue for them and we have talked all about the offense this is they faced as far as inflating their defensive stats it should be noted they face no great defense is all year long except for Buffalo and Buffalo was right there with them but flow APPs I mean he was a one score game that they won because of a blocked punt for a touchdown the Patriots are obviously the best coach team in football obviously the best defense in football and they obviously have the his quarterback of all time when the roster no dispute that but they're passing game is going to be limited unless the wide receiver room gets substantially better and it got a little bit better twenty four hours the difference during a little bit better than substantially better to get a little bit better or did it get substantially better with Mohammed substantially. Bill Mohammad said knew these guys can't wear Muhammad's new shoes he can play up he's been great as a role player since he's been in the League when he was second fiddled Aj Green Julio Jones and you know what they did for he was so good and Atlanta they drafted another received from Alabama to move him to number three you never heard a peep about him he's great on and off the field Tom Brady should be excited because he is so much better than what they had the first things I had a good time with two time? NBA Champion eleven times or Chris Bosh Good Morning Chris route to announce something by the way Chris Bosh officially now for into the show third appearance makes you officially day it was a great this title love it all right let's talk men be opening night Chris Bosh friend of the show. What was the key to the clippers win last night I mean I'm going to say the bench sixty two thousand nine hundred ninety scored or mantras arduous and And Lou Sorry mantras narrow narrow and Louisville coming off the bench I mean mantras he's just a monster and the nice twelve Portland bench on me. He has a lot of flavored yet but I think is the main thing was the bench you saw the Lakers come out swinging hyped up gain a lot of excitement I do disagree with Lebron it is rivalry anytime you're in the situation since we've been in middle school and high school I will release Your Cross town team nine times out of ten if not all times but you have to give credit to the bench the stars did what they need to do everybody's trying to figure things out but when Louisville comes in I mean he gets into that rhythm that's what's GonNa make La very very dangerous the clippers I'm speaking of well and I disagree with Lebron the point where he says you know neither one of us did exactly what we're GonNa do I'll tell you right now the clippers they will sign up thirty from sixty from the bench you got ninety how many you need you he'll non George right you only need what tweet in that situation he what twenty five points from the rest of the starting five and the way they play defense how many points you gonNa score that that's the another aspect of it I actually thought both teams played really well defensively in this game I thought Lebron was more engaged defensively than I'd seen him in a regular season game in vary time we'll see if he's able to sustain that over the course of the season but the story was to me the Lakers they came out great and they had a flurry in the third quarter led by Danny Green who had I five is unconscious aside from that they were casual with the Basketball Anthony Davis who clearly was going to have a huge size advantage all night long after the first half was not able to reestablish that was not able to take advantage of that and the clippers just kept coming there was no there was no break you could see for the acres when they went to their bench unit when all of a sudden my pal jared Dudley an case EPA and Troy Daniels and quaint cooker out there were three of those four. That's that's an opportunity for the clippers great some separation when the Clippers strength is their bench unit and those guys are out there without quite can't rest when is out there you can't take a break then you're not gonna be able to take a break Lou Williams is cooking when mantras getting a rebound Patrick Beverley is just annoying everyone is he does every game of his NBA career like the clippers were relentless Lakers we're not able to match that and at the end of the game the clippers clamp down on them they stop foul in which they did the first half assisted to Lakers with free throws ad get proud that much two second-half Lakers didn't out and they shut them down to seventeen points in the fourth quarter neither one the stars from the Lakers had enough energy or juice to bill take over the game because that's what you expect we're going La la La let's get to the fourth quarter one of you guys take over the game typically Bronco do it last night he didn't do it into me the typically especially post play post players more taxing on your body then parameter play so you could see them throwing the ball into them the first two quarters he was gas at halftime all posting up all that wrestling so for me I believe that part at the end the game he will be in condition and be ready to handle that so to me how you close out these Games game was very very even this is going to be a rivalry even before Lebron James he's going to be late to get there but it is going to be a rivalry I guess Lebron feels like he he controls everything it's not a robbery until I say so right okay okay yeah there's a lot of intensity for these two teams would be the first night of the season and neither one of them repeating champions Lakers hadn't been in the playoffs in a minute Chris let's talk about in stay with the clippers for a second how good after saw last night could this team be once Paul George gets back I mean you know the goal should be NBA championship for these guys. I mean if you look at it from top to bottom you know they're well coached on their staff is great Got Great Ownership Steve Bomber has been very very vocal in in his ambitions to win they've got superstars you know without too much pressure on one of those superstars we'll be coming back yeah it's always pressure when you come back but they can take pressure off of each other and and Paul George P maybe not feel like he has to come plug in right away and start averaging twenty or thirty points right away I know it'll be better for them to superstars you're right about out but I think the mix of their personalities Paul George is accomplished enough in this league he's got him and co I decided to play together they were supposed to be together talk in the last couple of years but was like I'm not going to the Lakers y'all need to call Paul George and Paul George like Whoa really that's the first time outs publicly someone said UNAPOLOGETIC LEBRON wanted him in Cleveland but they couldn't get him from the Pacer so for me with a shoulder injury type of player Paul George is you know what you're going to be I game locks on one up you couldn't have needed that last night his three point shooting he adds to their offense so to me their personalities if either one of these guys was coming back from an injury because they are the two superstars with less ego than the other groups of superstars that we have because every player does if some ego so I'm confident that they will jail quicker and bad shoulders man guys come back from bad showed especially perimeter players and one of the reasons I think the offers looked as good as they did last night was because when you watch them last year this was that team they this team didn't go through a reinvention the way the Lakers the Lakers got three guys from last year that played last night Lebron jail in case ep everyone else that played is brand new as far as the clippers guys that were notable players notable guys last night zoo bots he played no started center but he barely played he's new heartless who you mentioned new and of course is new but what you inserted Inqui- was maintenance superstar who's going to going to take over a scoring load and be the best defender on the court at almost all times so everyone else knows how to play with each other in Montrose Heroin Lou Williams know how to be the leaders of one of the best bench units in basketball because that's what they were last year and to me you saw some of that familiarity last night with the clippers and that will serve them well even when they add another piece of course Paul George and a month or so it'll be back here first things first we're joined by Super Bowl Champ Greg Jennings hey greg great to see this morning Ambridge we are talking. MVP ODDS in the NFL according to Fox Bet Greg Aaron Rodgers and Russel Wilson are now tied favorites plus two seventy five to take home the MVP honors both quarterbacks have carried their teams to great respect of starts this season that means odd man out becomes is Patty Mahomes who's better bet to win. MVP Rogers are Wilson combating. I'm going with Aaron Rodgers I like what he's been able to do team has a better record and he's doing it with not his number one guy they've established a running game he's he's entering into this season with the new head coach new system All these odds were against whether or not it would work or shouldn't say the odds myself in others probably questioned or had questions about whether the relationship with work and working phenomenally and it's all predicated on his demeanor his posture towards everything and it's been unbelievable his his stats he's putting up the two interceptions that he has on the stats sheet they really don't even belong to him he had the one against Philli tip that at the goal line he had the one choice they got dropped and then intersects a goal at the goal yeah so I mean he he would be intercept list if if it weren't for those two in the way he's throwing the football right now ventas Aaron Rodgers he's not what's been most impressive is he's not I'm doing it in a manner of I have to be everything for my team at Liberty yes Orlando unscheduled he's he's doing everything that that Matt low-floor could ever asks for him to do and more I love what the defense is doing they gotta get better for him and not giving up the big plays like Aaron Rodgers both of these quarterbacks it's hard to to be able to how am I going to going down the stretch because it's based on how the team plays yeah I believe Aaron's going to have more help and with more help he's got more established running game even Seattle has more running culture. Aaron has the more talented running backs I believe Aaron Jones can be a special player continuing to use him in the passing game also devante Adams is better than any receiver that Seattle and Russell Wilson will have so I believe the defense in Green Bay a lot better than the defense in Seattle and those types of things right there lead to having the MVP type season the slow start by Aaron Rodgers offense being expanded through weeks three weeks seven you could start to see oh wow and they're doing that without their best receiver so for me Aaron Rodgers in in the NFL MVP at least in recent history it's been part and parcel does with the quarterback position but with your team having an extraordinary record yeah av look Ludi go thirteen and three and Seattle's likely to be a wildcard team if they assuming they get in that that speaks in Aaron Rodgers favor now I should he doesn't beginning before the year I picked to win the MVP and I still think right now then being dead even as ridiculous I this is up until last week nick Rogers was not in the conversation at all he had eight touchdowns to those two interceptions even though those two were not his fault agreed Russell Wilson at fourteen wants to no interceptions up to last week Russell Wilson Given the Andrew Patrick Mahomes was the runaway leader in this category now Russell as his worst game the first bad game since last December eras has one of the best games of his career and they're dead even what one week can erase the margin that Russian built up over the first six weeks I think that's unfair I think Russell has been the best player in the League up to this point this season I think he's still should be if we were awarding it right now he would be the league MVP can he sustain it that's where the odds come in and I.

Call eight six six eight seven five two nine one five or hope restored dot com. That's hope restored dot com. Aaron let me ask you what you think of the term soulmate. You know? I really feel like soulmate is really kind of pure fantasy. It's an illusion because really spiritual connection between a couple Israel. Well, the soulmate is used so often, it seems and there are a lot of different perspectives about it. We're an unpack what it might mean in how you can have a close intimate relationship with your spouse and be more spiritually connected in the way that Erin was just saying this is focused on the family with focused president and author Jim Daly, and I'm John John. I'm looking forward to the program today because this is the tuneup kind of program where we particularly in the Christian community need to think about our marriages and need to pay attention to them. And I'm guilty of sometimes letting that go, gene. And I we get on a pace assertain track where we're busy. We got the kids go in different directions. We got the boys doing their sports. And you know, we accept a little bit of laziness when it comes to working on our marriage, and I think many many of us are in that boat. And today we want to just remind you that it is important to work on it and put some tools in your hand. So you can do it in our guests are. Greg Aaron Smalley. They're both on staff here at focus on the family their authors and speakers about a variety of subjects and one of their specialties is talking about marriage, Greg and Aaron let me welcome you back to the program. Always joy, thanks for having us. Okay. I wanna start with a funny story because this is one I remember you guys have so many good stories, but you were just married, and I'll have you fill in the blanks, not very long, and you had a sinement that Aaron had given you Greg to do the laundry what happened with the laundry story. He's looking a little red for the listeners. We have a minor arguments. Right before you earn was leaving to go out the door out to work in the morning in his Saturday. How long have you been married? Six months. Okay. Good. So we were very experienced by in we were bickering picking at each other. And I got to the front door with my work stuff in hand. And I took one step out the front door and my head back in and made one more smart comment enough. I went okay. So I'm just standing there and our little parts after she is now had the last word is dated me because I had so much more that I was really ready to say, but she's gone. So it's getting all of our laundry together in the way that I did it is we lived up on the fourth floor on the first floor underneath of the laundry room. Why hated carrying that big basketball laundry? And so what I did is. I just bought a big mesh bag put all our laundry, and then I just would. Wag it out put it on the railing, and then just drop it to the ground. So I get this all stuffed in dragging it outside. I'm so mad at her in his a put it up on the railing. I see her walking on the ground floor. And what did you think about? Well, I thought wouldn't it be funny? If as she walked by dropped it near her in. She would kind of, you know, jump in look up at be like last word that, you know, thought it was a great idea. Good icebreaker, it made its think you see all made sense. All made my mind. So when I let the laundry bag go my aim was honor off to ping on your perspective. When I hit her literally. Not not at all you wouldn't want. And what did you hit by this flying bag laundry by your inflamed husband upstairs in that season of our marriage? It wasn't super surprising. Sadly, and I mean, I I fell back and looked up and he was looking down inside jumped up and I ran up the stairs. Because I was going to maybe throw him off the Belkin to literally never seen her move fast. You have grown a lot since then this was many years ago. And the reason I like that stories there's a certain real nece to it a grittiness some people even those of us that claim Christ live in that veneer. If I could say it that way, there may be a lot of good things going on on the outside. But we close the door there's laundry bags flying use the metaphor. But let's talk about that spiritual connection now that you've grown, and you have really gotten over those obstacles earlier marriage, and you can certainly. Refer to that. But that spiritual connection in the importance of it talk about that. Why is spiritual connection the ground-floor for everything in your marriage? There's so many ways that I think people misunderstand this idea of spiritual intimacy between a couple in for me. It's more than reading the bible together. It's more than memories in scripture together is more than going to church together. Those are doing. Exactly, you know, we're human beings. We're not human doings in. I think it's that were being that that really is helped Aaron, and I'm more than anything understand what it really means to have a spiritual relationship. I believe that real spiritual intimacy means that we understand that Christ is the cornerstone of our marriage a love that verse and efficiency to twenty that with Christ. Jesus himself has the cornerstone. So he's our cornerstone he is our foundation, but built upon that. I think it's really about connecting all of your being your heart, your soul, your mind, your strength with your spouse as we pursue God together to me. That's it. It's not a bunch of these things that we do. It's offering one another all of who we are. You know that the deepest parts of our heart, our soul our mind, and our strength in that his become the thing that we pursue together. How do I live that out versus just think? Well, as long as we pray together as long as we go to church together. I don't think that's what it's about. Let me ask you this again for context how many years in your marriage. Did it take for you to begin to understand that? And for the both of you. Did you kind of arrive at that point seven years in ten years in what was your situation that way, I can hear it and maybe a plight to my own. I would say that for us. It it became that. We started to pursue God individually, you know, wholeheartedly and then that really for me impacted my marriage relationship. How what were what was going on spiritually for you that impacted your marriage in the in the material sense because what's happening was that? I was expecting Greg to meet so many needs in need that really? He wasn't created to me that really those were things that only God could be doing in my life. So as I grew in my faith in the Lord, then was free to love, Greg without these unrealistic expectations. And I think many women because we get so much from. Relationships in people and places and things that you know, that we're looking to all these things to fill us versus allowing God to fill us, first and foremost, and then we come together in when he's doing that. I'm doing that we come together. And while I appreciate what you're saying. I'm trying to get a handle on what in again normal is what as Patsy Clermont says it's only a setting on your dryer. But I'm trying to launder.

"Said is true, Greg. I've had long long relationship long before he came to work here long before he signed a nice free agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings him, and I had an association long before that. And both of those relationships I felt like I played a key role here at FOX and getting him here. We had a list of people who we wanted and I've outs for Greg Jennings. As far as credibility. Who the man is what type of football player how we're already worked and studied in everything. Minnesota sign into a big deal, I vouch for Greg Jennings there. So Greg Jennings is not one of those people this trying to elevate his career. He's not trying to sensationalize stories. Greg Jennings is only telling us a more. So of what really went on? I I was going to Greg. I think has actually whether feels like this or not I think Greg would be I don't want to say he's hurt his broadcast and curb Greg could've Greg could be in the headlines a lot more with how often we talk about Aaron Rodgers, and how many things he won't say on television. Absolutely. And it should be noted. And I'm not saying this because we know Greg Aaron confirmed Greg story about the niner's thing about that Greg said during a game when it was yet walkie or that Aaron said to a player on the other team, Carlos Rogers. I think he said it was you guys should come get Greg in the off season. Aaron in that interview yesterday admitted he said. Now, he said he was joking that he thought Greg took it the wrong way. But it wasn't at no point. Did he could have said there that was false. Go ask the player. He confirmed that part of it. Greg's not in the business of making stuff up, and he he did sign a very nice raging contract Vikings. I'd only Greg necessarily needs to be doing broadcasting. I think he enjoys doing broadcasting and he's not trying to hurt relationships by doing it. He's just giving his honest opinion, which is actually still somewhat protecting Aaron at time. The other part of this is going to be now the relationship between Aaron Rodgers and new head coach Matt leflore moving forward. And we're gonna talk about that coming up a little bit later on the other side Antonio ground to get another shot at juju Smith Schuster here. This person. This weekend. "This only helps them out. No, I read it independently. I have a lot of Aaron Rodgers information talked to people who've played with them talk to people in the organization. So this was I looked at it independent of everything else. And I didn't believe everything to be true. But I know Aaron Rodgers at this point if he's not making some type of adjustments in what type of teammates he's going to be how much football he wants to learn. Learn the different how he wants to play football to close out his career. He's not going to another Super Bowl. So for me. He's the most talented quarterback that we have. I don't believe that the scrutiny that he's is unjustified. I mean, he is often a special place in Green Bay. And I believe that the NFL and being in Green Bay has helped protect and Rogers how much of everything that came out. And what we're now learning and generally where there's smoke. There's fire some of these stories and his reputation we've heard for years, it's not that. This is the first time we're hearing it. How does affect what he's going to have to do when he walks into the locker room this year with a new head coach and team that's going to be looking both for as a leader. And to get them back to where they once were. I think that there's always similar to remember the course of one story and the cards short that he needed to people like Nick foles more that wins was aloof and approachable exactly that you said at the moment, whether it was true or not all the details. Carson could take some nuggets from and say I need to improve at least slightly my relationships with teammates. That's the part that for me Aaron Rodgers should take to heart. He is at relationship problems. I think throughout his football career at the very least we can say that. And even if he thinks this was a hit piece, what do you call smear? It's at e-, even if it was that there, even if it's just to anonymous teammates that feel that way try to make zero try to see what you can do to adjust because you're play on the field is almost on impeachable. Like, nobody criticizes you for what you do on the field or very little in comparison to your contemporaries at the position. So see how you can do it. When you have a first time head coach when you have a fresh start and win. There's not Mike McCarthy as a fall guy there anymore to lay the blame on if the Packers have disappointing. Sees one thing that I can verify from the report everything to Greg Jennings. Said is true, Greg. I've had long long relationship long before he came to work here long before he signed a nice free agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings him and. Had an association long before that. And both of those relationships I felt like I played a key role here at FOX and getting him here. We had a list of people who we wanted and vowed for Greg Jennings. Former state Republican party chairman, Chris Vance has left the Republican party, and he blames the president for the shutdown and blames Democrats for moving too far to the left. I think this could go one of two ways either Trump has been chastened because the shutdown did not go as expected, and he won't want to shut it down again. Or the he's unpredictable and he does extreme things next time. He will if he doesn't get what he wants him three weeks you'll declare an emergency, which will cause a whole new constitutional crisis. Shows that the Trump campaign was involved in some way and trying to spread the emails that have been hacked from the DNC. But what the indictment doesn't say is that Roger stone's interactions with WikiLeaks illegal or that the Trump campaign engaged in a criminal conspiracy to make that to make that case as the New York Times points out today, they would have to show that the Trump campaign knew about the hacking in advance or that Roger stone knew about the hacking in advance because to quote, the article knowing about the fruits of what Russia's stall was not enough. I believe this is a politically motivated investigation. "I believe is cap numbers twenty six point six million next year, and they don't wanna pay that. And I don't blame them. Well, the reason it's that much though is because they gave him a contract before this year. So that's what Tara that's what bad franchises. Do. They pushed money into the future to save some cap room in two thousand eighteen because they're like well Tanna hills are guy for at least a few more years. And now he's not in that article. If I'm dolphins fan was very concerning because you did not have to read too far between the lines to realize it was ownership that wants tannehill out ownership that says he's out and the coach in the front office. Like, we're not even sure who that's going to be. But basically the owner that was how I read it you're making a huge tannahill fan jaylo. I believe it's the owner Mark Anthony above no yet. You don't really hear rockets the hard rock that sort of the Williams sisters they randomized? Realized how bad it seemed that the owners were bunch of celebrities like someone wrote an article that was like, yeah, they popped in twenty thousand bucks each like it was like they were so odor sound machine. So the rockets have decided they basically got a three line very box called of an owner strange move. I will ask you this because tannehill will be elsewhere. I think there's a chance he will be Parker too. This is probably his last game. But channels interesting to me, let's just say there's a scenario where drew Brees retires after winning the Super Bowl this year. If you took Ryan tannehill added a debt of mediocrity that is Miami. And I understand you could make the case that Tanna hills. Indeed a debt of mediocrity and the quarterback world. But if you took him out of Miami and put him on a real team with a great coach. Do you think the saints that have really good offense with? Ryan tannehill. I think he might be better in a better situation. He's done these stabling established principles of mediocrity. I think the saints with them become mediocre. I think they would be better. They he would be better though. I see what you're saying. Like, I I wrote an article this week for QB next trying to figure out who you would want this off season. Like, so who would you want? Brit Bridgewater foles than there's tannahill. Maybe James Winston ten. I dunno Tanna hills. I don't think he's field Lara behind the guys as a group in that group here. Laco one of the same questions. You would have a teddy Bridgewater. Canny stay healthy tannehill has not been healthy for a long time. And he takes too many hits. Because I think he has that same spatial awareness thing that more iota has Tanna he'll take entirely hasn't gotten any better. So I I answer my own question. I'd rather have teddy and falls because I do think that Tanna hell's the same guy. He was as a rookie which was pretty good as a rookie. But now it's like six years later on the east change. And also think this might be Leshan McCoy's last game. Yes. He's had a falling out with head coach Sean McDermott the bills, I would think would win with that defense at home. But that would mean dolphins finish seven and nine not eight. So that's why I feel like the dolphin that game ended three different quarterbacks. Careers in Jacksonville. Miami, Cody Kessler, Blake Bortles and tannehill. We're all costly moving on the Detroit Lions they too are finishing off a disappointing season after back to back nine and seven years. Under Jim called all their five and ten entering week seventeen and they have a tough assignment going to lambofield face the Packers. Greg Aaron Rodgers who has not been quite Aaron Rodgers all season looked like Aaron Rodgers against the jets and they're fad defense. You think he finishes the season out strong here? Yeah. I mean, he he's throwing as well as he has all year says healthy and move in as well as he has all year and he's playing a team..

"He might deliver on that value, especially in the back end, the contract. But the only approval that we saw from him last season was permettre shot three, three point, six percent on three hundred forty two, three point attempts that maybe is becoming a foundational skill. We'll see finally played almost exclusively at the power forward position. Anyone percent of his minutes there per basketball reference the magic or the worst team on the defensive glass. And frankly, I'm not. I'm not shocked. So air Gordon should play at the four. But this is a situation where you've invested a young player. You can't just say, okay, we believe in him, we believe in this talent, he hasn't really kind of shown that he can be impactful player at all. You don't really see him having big moments in the games or just having consistent impact across the game. He just kind of blends in so far this career, but. Still young, and he's a wonderful athlete. But let's talk from Greg, Aaron Gordon. You got to put the guy next to him to help him, you know. And so what he needs is a really, really strong if it's a center strong rebounder maybe will become that. But this office only had last season. They inherited a roster and financial situation at cetera. And so when I watched this team play this year, I watch is Aaron Gordon getting better. It's not really just me watching Aaron Gordon isolation. It's a front office coaches, putting the right fit around him, the complementaries players around him to help him. And I think, well, mogambo rookie unite. Both like his physical profile don't know really fees about well player, but Sacremento help critical. It is or Aaron Gordon to become what they hope to be for this organization to put the right players around him to complement what he's not naturally good at. Well. I guess I'll start with my analysis of where Gordon is right now. He's one of these guys that the college level was just a freakish athlete, not really a very good shooter in college, but able to be an impact player just out of, you know, his size and his athleticism speed. Ability to just beat people to the rim, make plays on the office of glass, etc, etc. So almost like sometimes you see something happen to NBA where a team gets a guy late in a certain round or the first round, and you in says, yada cigarette example, this Jaanus was freakish profile, but but the skills were big question. Mark and Milwaukee picked him, and it's really paid off them. And it's almost like sort of saw Aaron Gordon in a similar light, which is okay, the freakish profile, but the skills are the question Mark, but we think we can coach him up and the skills area and he's gotten better. He's a better ball handler, he's a better shooter. He's better more skilled player, but there's one thing that you can't necessarily coach up is almost like this x. factor and that. It is, can you he put all of that together. When he plays against NBA defenders and Ken, he make the tough finish at the room consistently. Can't he score against an MBA defender. Consistently kit. He be an efficient office a player, and he's a high, right? We will type player. You'll see him make some big finishes dunk, some pope bikes and stuff like that. But it's really about efficiency. So so far what I was seeing Aaron Gordon, he is he hasn't, he's good player but to the level of what they've hoped he would be. He hasn't been able to just put all those skills together and create a fluid efficient basketball game. I guess to the question you asked, which is really the question is who they put alongside him to help him sort of be that player..
