"Can T here in Tucson. It's a big deal. I love my city, but I want you guys, you know, this show expands to even way further than that. Because we were we represent a lot of people within the national border patrol council. Amongst those people we have agents throughout the northern border throughout the southern border. And we have different locals where presidents are elected to run these locals to represent their membership in that area. And then we have regionals and stuff on the national level. But right now, I got someone the line, and I'm pretty I'm pretty excited to have him on. I've known him for quite some time. I think it's a good deal to have him on here. And I don't think they get enough love. That's what really upsets me, and they don't understand how much they do. But we had somebody on the line before from the northern border. "The tone of test range in Nevada, and what they have recently uncovered. But, but if they did, well, then you know, that would become the new Roswell. I'm kind of happy with the old Roswell. And I'm very grateful that we have a chance to talk to who need a Jennings who joins us on the phone on coast to coast AM, good evening. Juanita. So one Nita is the director of public affairs for Roswell, and she promotes Roswell is a travel in a professional opportunity and people move to Roswell all the time. But this is that time of year where you get a lot of tourists who come in for the Halloween festivities. So I just wanted to ask you what your plans were for Halloween. What do you do if if Roswell kind of Halloween all year long in a way for some people with the discussion of aliens and invading armies and all of that. If if it's if it's a Halloween all year long. What do you do special for Halloween? Most people go out two graves farm, which is a local farm and ranch community just about seven miles out of town where they participate in the corn maize the green family. The corn means together like the hieroglyphics that were supposedly on the UFO spaceship that landed in nineteen forty seven they change it every single year. And it's just a great opportunity for people to go out and really try to experience you know, that haunted feeling of getting lost in a field. Like, you're crash in nineteen point seven other people go out to bottomless lakes state park, which again has a mystery bottomless, and it is I'll ten miles from Roswell beautiful late great place to RV camping and things like that. But again, more more of the stars. And the telescopes and people get dressed up. And they feel that they become one or they may come down. And you know, it's just that that theory of there is something here that landed and they're trying to connect with them especially around Halloween and during the UFO festival in July. So I I'll be traveling through Roswell. I'm I'm moving coming up in a couple of weeks, and I'm I'll be driving up through Roswell on my way to my new position. I'll be teaching it. Kansas state, it might my older, my younger, son. And I always wanted to go to Roswell. Right. So we we we mapped it out from Phoenix. Even though we have to go a little bit out of our way to dip down to Roswell before we come back up. Again. It seemed totally worth it to us just to be able to see it. But how much can people tour when they're out there? If anybody were interested in in being able to go to the crash site or to go to any of the other locations that are linked to the famous story of the crash in Roswell where what can they do? So they can go to the Russell international year for museum and research center, which is a great opportunity to really dive into their historical and the research part of the crash definitely would check out the library for those who are really the seekers. And do you believe in addition to that we have a USO tour that is done by a local researcher? He's been doing research on the crash and your foes for over twenty plus years, and he will take you to the exact locations of cool priming of the incident and on top of that during the festival not next week. But during the festival for the first time last year, the Bogle family where the crash occurred allegedly they will take you out to the crash site where MAC Brazelle ranch houses still kind of in in place, and you can see where the crater landed in in the land. And so those are just a Cup. Couple of of things that I would definitely recommend that people check out, and, you know, search for the truth themselves. Okay. So one either use the word allegedly in there, which makes me suspect. You're not a true believer of what happened, you know, something we don't know. I do believe there are some still are kind of on the fence. And so we invite people to come and find out for themselves. We you know, there's a lot of research. There's a lot of local people here that people can talk when you go into the Jeff oh museum. The locals know who the tourists are because this sticker, and you will come and walk down our main street and go into area fifty one. Which is a great store. A bring your camera took pictures. Stop in the Roswell visitor center, we have two amazing aliens that we decorate for each Holly. Especially now for Halloween. On a big fall festival with our police officers and things like that for the community. But these there about six foot aliens and people love to take pictures with them, and they'll hear the story of our employee of the month. His name is Bob and Martha alien, and you know, people really come here searching for the truth. Locals we we don't want to say one way or the other. We want them to figure it out for themselves and your research. Well, that'd be great. Thank you. I appreciate that. Let me let me ask you. How many people show up every year in Roswell for the Roswell festival for the for the crash festival that happens in the summer the UFO days? So our population has doubled in size. We're we're account about forty eight thousand and especially on the big anniversary of the festival, you know, we've hit close to doubling our size on average per year for tourism. We see a little over two hundred and thirty thousand visitors that communism. UFO museum and research center. Good pretty good and pretty close to what they get in Salem, Massachusetts. And so I'll I'll bring in our next guest next. But thank you. And if I'm if I'm driving through town. We'll get a chance I'll say Hello. Okay. Yes. Please do. Thank you. Honey, the Jennings is the the the the director of tourism public affairs in Roswell New Mexico a season with the witch J w Oscar the subtitle is the magic and mayhem of Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts. J w let me just tell you very funny book, you have great sense of humor. Really enjoy all the comic asides on a serious subject because and we'll get to the second. This is this is a very unusual place in America. But it has an even more extraordinary place in the timeline of American history. That I thought it was interesting. You mentioned that in Salem, Massachusetts. They do about a quarter of a million people that come to visit during the month of October is that about right? Yeah. That's exactly about right. There are a city of about forty thousand usually and eat on Halloween. Just telling me about one hundred thousand people come over the course of the month the quarter million. So the massive amount of people for that small city have within an orders. Well, I love this idea. So this is one of my favorite kind of books. It's a deep drill down on like a well. I mean, it's not it's on a narrow subject, but you picked Halloween in Salem as the subject. So it sort of you use that as as a sort of a lens on all of what happened in the implications of the the Salem witch trials. But it's it's really informative, and we just did a guest a couple of weeks ago about on the popular opinion on how historians have been shifting their views on Salem. And I learned a lot then too. But we'll learn a little bit more tonight. For example. I didn't realize that. The the there are other places around the world outside of Salem that had massive hangings and burnings of of witches before Salem, Massachusetts. Did. Yeah. I always try to tell people that stayed on wasn't the first ever which trial wasn't the last wasn't the witch trials wasn't the biggest wasn't the strangest. Wasn't there are, you know, the I I wish trial in America that yielded a victim was in Connecticut and Europe, they're reaching like thousands of victims injuries. But we don't really hear about that. Which is really I mean, I know that there are some festivals in Europe that they keep that alive. But still that's an extraordinary number of which is killed it is. And it's honestly it's really a problem today. Even in the lesser developed countries are still being people being executed for being witches. The strange thing about that to me. Of course, is that of all the cities on the planet that have had this problem, which is pretty much every city on the planet. There's only one which city and that Salem, Massachusetts. That's which city USA. So we'll get to that a season with the witch. We'll talk a little bit more about Salem and Salem at Halloween. On the way. I like the rob zombie story in there in the book to and then coming up next hour on coast to coast AM, a truly amazing saga of the most allusive serial killer in American history. And you've never heard of that either. That's coming up next hour on coast to coast AM..

"Now, listen, we are we are not in any way, shape or form going to sit here and tell you that we agree with everything Tanya says. I am not going to do that to you. There will be no lies told. There are plenty of times when Kanye west is wrong and has been wrong was he wrong when he said, George Bush doesn't care about black people. Of course, he was did anybody question his mental state at the time. No, at least not the celebrity culture, not the celebrity apparatchik, not the Don lemon of the world. Wait till you hear what I've gotten for the popcorn moment for Don. Lemon. That's coming up at seven fifteen. But now that he is supportive of President Trump, all let's question is mental state. Let's let's call them. Crazy. Let's let's attack him for not being black enough. Or or as Don lemon said. Let's let's go even a step further. What we are going to be supportive of here. What I am going to support is the idea that he's allowed to have his own opinions and his own thoughts. And if he gets a meeting with the president he gets a meeting with the president I would like meeting with the president. I've spoken with him. Once I'm sure I'll speak with him again. But the wheel anger and outrage is that Konya is actually talking to the president. What these so-called liberals who are caring and loving and kind and decent and wholesome actually believe in is not talking. They don't believe in quote, unquote, normalizing. They don't believe in humanizing because their entire objective is to dehumanize. I only asked this question is that what you want in power. People who are thrilled to dehumanize and are ashamed of you for actually humanizing ashamed of you for reaching out. And we've seen it not only with Connie and President Trump we've seen it with actors and actresses who say, hey, I this person's a conservative we disagree about politics. But they've always been very nice to me. And then they get attacked Scott Kelly, the astronaut quoted Churchill, and then got attacked by Twitter Ma because he was an imperialist Churchill saved the free world and anybody who doesn't think so is not somebody you should associate with they'd be a science denier there a flat earth. They are. So completely daft. They don't think Tom Brady cheats. That's how completely off base. They are. We're going to get into more of Connie. I wanna get into Brian Bosma the governor coming out Eric Holcombe. The story at WABC dot com by Eric Berman. He says he's not going to judge speaker Bosma on the basis of the Indy star report. The Indy star report. Is that they had heard rumors of sexual impropriety from speaker Bosma? They went looking. They reached out to this. This woman. Candy green. That's who they reached out to candy green makes the claim that she engaged in oral with him in a hotel parking area. While she was an intern for the Indiana House Democrats in one thousand nine hundred ninety two. She says and his report is the in the Indy star that it was consensual. Now, she says now in this interview that he was in a position of thirty. She was worried for her job. She said it was consensual and is now saying she was worried about her job. So she didn't feel like she was able to say no that's the claim. She makes now. Well, the Indy star. I I guess was looking into this and either they reached out to Brian. I think it was they reached out to to speaker Bosma, and then speaker Bosma hired a lawyer Linda Pence no relation to the vice president after that. The claim is that the green family. Was starting to be asked questions via an investigation through the the lawyer. And threatening to reveal unfavorable information if her account became public. So is question of intimidation. The governor is not commenting on the Indy star story. And there are there are sixty plus Republicans who have signed a letter sixty Republicans supporting. Brian bosma? This is what we know. So far. So I take a look at this because you have. People like John Zoete who is the chairman of the Democratic Party. Says this appears to be tactics used to intimidate and. I'll come should call for an investigation. I I don't know what you're going to investigate here. I do not know what you're going to investigate here at all. Now, the I think the conversation that people are focusing on is the idea of intimidation if the green family claims, it's intimidation what would actually make an intimidation. If if if someone said to you, hey, we're we're looking into this. Hey, we're asking about this. Hey, are you sure? This is what you said here, that's not necessarily intimidation of someone says to you. Hey, if you speak out, we're going to do x y and z well that could be I only hope somebody has an audiotape somewhere anywhere. But I really do go back to the first part because on this Indiana cannot wait. They have to answer the question quite literally today. Twenty six years ago. This allegedly happened. Brian Bosma says it never happened. She says it did happen. It was consensual. Don't know what you want me to do with that. But if let's make the argument that had happened, and she says it was consensual twenty six years later. Can she say, well, you know, what on further reflection? I was kind of pressured into it because I didn't feel I had the right to say. Now, can you do that? Is that the way we work? It is that the way it's going to be handled there'd be done. Now. Maybe there's some allegations. He made earlier on down the line. Maybe there's some police report somewhere. Maybe there's some conversation. She had with someone in the place that could further corroborate at least your story. But it's a question of do we allow this in society? Do we allow twenty six years later to say, you know on reflection. Maybe he didn't treat me, right? I'm asking because quite literally the fate of society. Depends on it. I don't condone rape. I don't condone condone intimidation. I don't condone threatening. I don't condone physical violence. I don't condone, you know, psychological warfare on someone. So they're too afraid to leave which happens. Don't get me wrong. After being contacted by newspaper, the conversation becomes maybe. That's not enough that will never be enough the intimidation conversation. I don't know what to make of that. They want to do an investigation as we often say can't start an investigation. Can't stop an investigation. Whatever you guys want to do. There's another part to this. I'll get to that coming up map air traffic on.

"But scholars have many questions about those artifacts where they come from and if some were even real lizzy wade visited the museum ahead of its opening to look at the scholarly side of this place welcome lizzy hey there thanks for having me so what are the goals of a place like this a museum of the bible and arther a similar facilities elsewhere yes so there are a couple of so the goal since start with a goal the goal is on its changed a little bit over the years physically because the museum is funded by the greens family who own the craft store chain hobby lobby in they're very very wealthy i first heard of the greens spin i think many people for heard of the greens when they challenged the affordable care act birth control mandate in the supreme court in that was the requirement that employers provide health insurance plans that bright a birth control and the greens felt that that was a tone to their religious beliefs even joe christians in they didn't want to have to comply with that requirement they are could well wellknown in religious fears and also now secular spheres as even joko activists basically in there clearly very invested in the bible in spreading what they feel is its message so that's the goal of the museum of the goal of the museum has changed a little bit since it began which is part of the story at the beginning when this museum when the museum of the bible was founded as a nonprofit.

"Forfeit thousands of ancient iraqi artifacts the american prosecutors say the antiquities were smuggled out of the middle east and intentionally mislabeled when they were imported to the us to find out why the owners of hoppy lobby are interested in antiquities from iraq we reached candida moss she's reading a book about the hobby lobby owners the green family from oklahoma city and asked her to tell me about them the green family is a devout christian family and we all i heard about this with a very famous supreme court lawsuit which they won and they are devoted christians david greene the founder of hobby lobby came from a very religious family and the actually donate 50 percent of fat profits to charge double organizations with christian evangelical nisshin's so it's not really surprised that they would be interested in christian related artifacts in general and their most involved project is something that is about to come online in washington dc it's the museum of the bible tell us about that that's right the museum of the bible is opening in november and this is really the brainchild of the green family when they started collecting audifax they did so with the idea that these artefacts will be housed in this museum and it's this billiondollar museum that they have primarily funded themselves and steve green who is the president of hobby levy defense about half of his time to museum of the bible new reported that from two thousand ten and two thousand sixteen the green family collected about forty thousand that local artifacts what are some at us artifacts and the collection well those affects relieve and the gamut from ancient cuneiform tablets which was swap a seized by the federal government two scraps of pyrenean that have early versions of the new testament on them to a lot of colonial era bibles and american christianity related objects the rest of the museum is the story of the bible and that has a very proud a stent and also american sent issue it and before it was known that federal authorities were investigating the process of acquiring these artifacts you interviewed steve green he's president of hoppy lobby what did he say about the acquisition of these artefacts while we asked him is it possible that you have illicit antiquities in your collection and what he said to us.
