"Both Granite Bay and Elk Grove. Now to the stories trending this Friday morning this morning, a new round of stimulus checks is going out to Californians. One time payments of $600. The money is going to people who earned $75,000 or less in 2020. So far, the state has distributed 2.5 million states stimulus payments totaling $1.6 billion this morning. Sacramento County Health officials are hopeful that the county will make it to the orange tear before June 15th. Here's health officer, Dr Olivia Siri on the delays. Some of that is due to the testing volume. The other also that we are monitoring is variants, and that could be contributing to the stagnation in cases. So Sacramento County still in the red here. After June. 15th California will still encourage people to mask up and get covert shots. There will be major changes to the Golden Globes awards. New audio it ate from CBS News correspondent Peter King. We think it's probably a combination of both. And this is what experts are finding and researching as we speak. So it is interesting because the prevalence of these diseases you know is probably a little bit more common, depending on the different types of illness or chronic conditions. Obviously, that is the wrong sound. We'll try to get to that report from Peter King. Okay, there is a a new explanation for rising gas prices, New audio and a from John Esparza. Who had the Texas trucking industry, he says the tanker truck industry is having trouble finding drivers to get gas to gas stations coming out of the pandemic, and the pressures of that is put on the business community. We will continue to see that be an issue for trucking into the foreseeable future. A new report found that between 20 and 25% of trucks are sitting idle nationwide because of a shortage of drivers. This year's donations for the big day of giving breaking records in less than 24. Hours. The big day of giving has provided nearly $12 million for more than 600 local nonprofit organizations, doubling the drives. Average donation total. Typically, the big day of giving pulls in about $6.5 million a year in the top five for donations was the YOLO County Food Bank. Oh, is that right? Well, that's very profiled them. He did. Or maybe we drove a few people there. That'd be great if you and if you did many, many things they do great work. Did you know it that food bank By the way, if you donate $1 that provides three meals. That's one for a bark. That's wonderful. I mean, that's better than any fast food joint. I meant yes, yes, it is, Or at least is good. Well, right as good. No question about it. So anyway, they did very, very well. 12 million was the take. And we spent a lot of time on an honor on a radio station yesterday morning for good for good reason, because It seems to be getting bigger and better almost every year and on that money, by the way, is staying locally. We have to keep that in mind that this stays in the local economy and these are very effective, efficient non profits with little overhead so Start a little bit about Presidential presidential politics. There's a we've got in our featured audio clip coming up right now, and it's from Republican pollster Frank Lunch, and he's predicting this morning that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for president in 2024. But he says that Trump will lose in the general election. Now, here's what lunch told the sway podcast. That's part of the New York Times operation. It is our featured audio clip this hour. And do you think he has a chance in the next election? If Donald Trump runs for President As a Republican, he's the odds on favorite to win the nomination. You could never win a general election, but I can't imagine losing I'm Republican primary. That's how significant he is within the GOP. Yet he's lost all of those crossover voters that would deny him the chance to win and in general election. So he will be the nominee but not win right At this moment. I would bet on him to be the nominee, and I would bet on him losing to whatever Democratic nominee there was so lunch did a big research project very recently says Trump becomes the nominee in 2024, but loses in the general Hey, will let's also did some extensive research on what's known as the big Lie. Um, yeah, probably read all about this. And essentially, that's that's Donald Trump out there, saying that the whole thing was rigged. Election was right, and that's why he lost 76% of Republicans. Are believing that Not Wow. And this, which is that That's a big number number one and number two lunch went on to say that this could cost Republicans In the mid terms in 2020 2020 22. Because what it does is it takes away credibility from the Republican Party that the hard core Trump supporters still believes that it was rigged. But that middle voter that moderate voters that he won over in 2016 I'm not buying into it. And if they continue to hear the quote, big lie line, it may push them away from the Republican Party that's launches thinking well, And if the internal polling that Donald Trump is doing in his folks shows the same thing that he would win the nomination, but not the election. You wonder would he be willing to step aside? For candidate who couldn't take the general election. Is there anyone strong enough? Is it Is it Christy Nome? Is that the Santis? Is it? Who is it? Does his ego allow that? Yeah, I don't know. I don't know either, right? A lot of people question that. But you think about look, if he runs Pence will not be on the ticket. There's no way they had a bad falling out. Yeah, I'll pick someone else I could see the Santis. You know what? Two Santas? I think I don't know He has designs of his own. Does he want to be on a ticket when his polling tells him that it doesn't have a chance of winning the general? I could see.

"Go to the Webinar. It's live and it's free at six o'clock. This coming Tuesday, the second of February. And we're going to talk about prop 19 and its implications on seniors. I'm gonna read some other stuff to you in a little while and we're gonna talk about some stuff. But I have been saying for a long time that the Legislature in the state of California I don't care what side of the political spectrum you're on. Really doesn't care about Older people. We'll talk more about that in a minute. Some stuff in l. A. That you should find outrageous. Some stuff going on in the state as it relates to seniors that you should find outrageous whether you will or not, I don't know. That's why people should always go to my Facebook page because I I post two or three links and sometimes a day on articles or pieces of information that every senior in their family should have. Period. And that's not going to change but prop 19 I'll be doing a webinar on that. On the second at six o'clock, go to my website, assets and aging dot com and you can sign up. It's free. It will be live and it will be free. Last couple times we've done this. We've been joined by a very large audience, so make sure you get in because we have a somewhat limited amount of people. We can sign up and make it all work. S Oh, don't forget to go to my website, assets and aging calm. If you're concerned about prop 19, there's not much time left because prop 19 goes into effect on February. The 16. So you'll have less than two weeks from the date of the webinar to do something and one of the things that we're gonna be doing. And if you want more information before the weapon are you can call me. Is I'll be doing zoom meetings, individuals. Ooh, meetings with my good friend Gary Lieberman, Elder law attorney on Wednesday from 9 a.m. till two PM first come, first served. You can wait to the webinar to get more information on that. Or if you want more information on that the private zoo meetings with the attorney, you can You couldn't give me a call again. My number is 809 998007. One of the things that people have been able to do. In California and other states for years. Aziz. Many of you know, uh, if you're my age and you have Children and grandchildren your grandchildren are gonna have your Children are already having a more difficult time affording real estate and being able to garner wealth because jobs or difficulty the you know. Um, things are just limited and covert is limited those even more well, one of the assurances that people had was they could, they would be able to pass on the home or the little piece of property. They had a vacation home. Their family so that their family could have a better life than they could have. The state of California and the state Legislature and the State California Association of Realtors have killed that dream with prop 19. If you've done any reading about prop 19, you will find that it's going to become very difficult to pass on your house. And whether you have a trust or not, has nothing to do with that, because of the reassessment of property when it goes to your Children or grandchildren. It used to be able you could. You used to be able to pass on a fairly healthy amount of real estate, your home or a vacation home or whatever to your Children. Without it being reassessed. Those days have come to a halt. With prop 19. If you don't believe me, go Google prop 19 and read all the stuff that's out there everywhere. Or come to one of my webinars. But it is going to effectively limit wealth transfer not between billionaires. Billionaires aren't worried about wealth transfer. This is going to affect people with a house in Santa Clara or a house and granite Bay or a house and other places. A house in the Bay Area. Ah, house in L. A a house wherever it is. It's going to affect their ability to pass that house on and the little rental they had or the cabin. The vacation home. To their Children and grandchildren. Because the property is going to be reassessed and in some cases The reassessment is going to go up by a factor of 10. So that your Children and grandchildren even if you leave them, the property are going to be forced into a sale, which is what the California Association of Realtors wanted because they want more inventory on the market. It's also going to raise the price of rentals to the middle class to minorities to people who struggle blue collar workers. It's going to make it much more difficult. Because rents are going to go up as a result of prop 19 mark my words, You don't have to believe me. Just go read a little If you've been following me at all For the last three weeks, I've gone into detail on this. There's all kinds of information available on prop 19, and you won't like it if you do research. I told people last year not to vote for this and they voted for it anyway, because you thought it was about wildfire victims and firefighters and all that, and it's not. It's about circumventing prop 13, which is state Legislature of the state of California. You figure out who they are did to you with this proposition. It's so poorly written. Even the Board of Equalization, which manages property tax Issues can't figure it out. Nobody can figure it out. Attorneys can't figure it out. CPS can't figure it out. For the most part, everybody's guessing what this is going to do to seniors, But I can tell you right now. It ain't good. And I know I used ain't I did it for emphasis. So if you want more information on prop 19 time is running out because it goes into effect on February. The 16. With almost no time since his passage in November for anybody to plan anything. So if you have a house of any value, and especially if you have any real estate other than your house, you may not be able to pass that under your Children without a substantial reassessment, which may make it possible for them to own. Especially. Let's say you have a vacation home. Let's say you have you've had a Cabinet Tahoe. For 30 years 40 years. Have a friend that has a cabin up in on the California side of the lake. It's a little house. It's a little two bedroom house. A two bedroom, two bedroom house I can remember is one or two bathrooms, a little living room in the back deck. Well, you can imagine what that house is worth. Now the family's owned it his father bought it 50 years ago. So you can imagine that the property taxes they're fairly low. When they go to leave that to their Children. The property taxes are going to increase by a factor of 10. They don't rent it out. It's just used by the family. It's used by the Children and grandchildren. How are they gonna pay a property tax that's going to go from a couple 1000 a year 2 10,000 year or 12,000 year. And that's exactly what's gonna happen to people all over the state of California. Not just here, everywhere. Families in l A. You've had a little cabin up in Lake Arrowhead or some place for you Know, 40 years, the property taxes, they're going to go through the roof. So if you want to know more about prop 19, your last chance is my weapon are unless you call me Your last chance is my weapon are this coming Tuesday? At six o'clock p m. That's the second you.
