On DH 63 right now 700 WLW Speaking of things, weather related And at some point I'm gonna work my way up the lake Michigan and dip my feet in some cool water. Did know how cool until this notice come out. It could be the height of summer. It is August for the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids. Issue the public a warning about dangerously cold water temperatures in Lake Michigan. You're saying, but it's August. Well, nature doesn't care. Notice released yesterday, The National Weather Service said the low temperatures be present along the lakeshore over the next several days. Thing, the northerly flow will actually pull water away from the shore. Which causes upwelling along the coast. In other words, this stuff from down deep is going to come up and we'll drop beach water temperatures dangerously cold. Well, it does sound like fun. Temps from Lovington to South Haven. But I still haven't looked up on the map will be in the forties toe low fifties when you get in the water forties, too low fifties. High winds also expected to cause active waves and rough waters while it was throughout yesterday afternoon. That's in effect for several more days. I remember another time when they called water. We weren't white water rafting in West Virginia..
MLB Marks The 100th Anniversary Of The Negro Leagues
"Baseball is marking the anniversary of the Negro leagues created 100 years ago. The league's showcased black baseball players players who couldn't play on the major teams because of the color of their skin. Only a few members of the leagues are alive to celebrate the centennial Michigan radios, Doug Tribute spoke to the only surviving team owner and others about the legacy of the legendary leagues. In 1920 owners of independent black baseball teams from the Midwest gathered in Kansas City, Missouri. At that meeting they created the Negro National Leagues had no idea they were making history. They didn't care about making history. Bob Kendrick heads the Negro Leagues Baseball museum there, he says. Faced with segregation, black owners and players kept pushing for organized baseball. These athletes never cried about the social injustice. They went out and did something about so you won't let me play with you and I create my own And they did today. Stars like Josh Gibson, Buck Leonard and Satchel Paige are enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame, but thousands of black and Latino players endured bigotry and racist taunts. It was Tear before the players at that time. Many Forbes owned the Detroit Stars from 1956 to 1958. She lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that players try of them. They had nowhere to stay because of the discrimination, so they slept in the buses. And they couldn't go in places to eat so one person would go to the back door. When get food for all the players. Pedro Sierra pitched in the Negro leagues for several seasons in the 19 fifties. He grew up in Cuba and says it was tough to adjust to segregation and racism he saw in the US It wasn't easy to see all the problem with the raise. I know all about it, herb artist. But I hadn't experienced today. Sierra lives in New Jersey In 1954 he signed with the Indianapolis clowns at the age of 16. His salary was less than 5% of what white players were earning dollars a month a month, $100 a month. And I look back and say, Oh my God. Jackie Robinson played briefly in the Negro leagues. Then, in 1947 he broke baseball's color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers in Cleveland, Larry Doby became the first black player in the American League. Coming seasons brought many more signings. But many Forbes sympathizes with the many athletes who were good enough to play in the major leagues, but never got a shot. Unfortunately, some of the good players by the time the time Came. They were too old to play. The last league folded in the early 19 sixties, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum estimates there are about 100 former players still alive. Forbes is 88 worries about being one of the last left to tell the story. And I just want a if I'm worthy of represent and speaking about the Negro League because When I got involved, things was easier for me. Then it wass father one before me. Many Forbes will keep sharing her stories with younger generations and others will to Major League Baseball has a day to honor the league's set for next month. The museum has pushed back its year long celebration of the centennial to next year and renamed it Negro Leagues. 101
New Trump Campaign ad Looks Bad For Trump
"Donald Trump is in a lot of dead, so it's very unlikely that he actually outright owns anything, but he does love to own himself, and that's the case with the latest campaign ad you put out. Let's take a look. You have reached the nine one one police emergency line due to defunding of the police department. We're sorry, but no one is here to take your call. If you're calling to report a rape, please press one to report a murder press to to report a home invasion press three for all other crimes. Leave your name and number and someone will get back to. You are estimated. Wait. Time is currently five days goodbye. Now if that adds scares, you and you wouldn't WanNa live in the type of country that would have those types of scenes of. And Destruction! You should probably vote trump out of office because all of that footage happened under trump's watch. In fact, all the footage used in that ad was from March and I'll give you. Those details I'm sorry may of this year and I'll give you those details in just a moment, but also one of trump's campaign advisers Boris. Epstein also shared a similar video. NOT THAT AD itself. But in that video you see the violence and the destruction, and he says this would be Joe Biden's America. It's a very scary place except it's happening right now, and it's in trump's America. And I want you to remember what he said during came action. Because if you say wow, I, mean look. They're protesting. The saints that have happened recently police abuse. Yeah, well, trump had four years to fix it, and he didn't. He actually loves when police abuse African American citizens. Why after George Floyd? Floyd, but let's remember to protect the real victims here the confederate flag. And military bases named after confederate heroes so. Yeah he? There's a reason why those things are happening. Even the worst of most of them are overwhelmingly peaceful protests. Of the rioters and looters are because of Donald Trump's complete and utter indifference this issue, so that is trump's America but back. Then when he was accepting the nomination, he said the crime and violence that today our nation will soon. I mean very soon come to an end beginning on. January, twenty twenty seventeen safety will be restored. Saying. Let's let's go to those images and like some screen shots of the video that was used in that campaign ad, which again were from May of this year and we can just obviously. Rebut that ridiculous statement, so that's from Minneapolis. In May of twenty twenty twenty may twenty to be specific. It's an image from the night when a Minneapolis police precinct was burnt down. Okay, let's go to the next one. Another screen shot from trump's add This is a shot of liquor store that was set ablaze on the same night. Again this is in Minneapolis. May Twenty twenty-eighth Twenty twenty when the president of the United States is Donald Trump? And then let's go to one more. It's an image of a window being smashed at a bankruptcy court in Grand Rapids Michigan. And, it was taken. This photo is from May thirtieth twenty twenty so looks like he's by way. He's a criminal himself. I mean defrauded students with trump. University used his own charitable foundation, which had to be shut down because he was utilizing the funds from that charitable foundation to enrich himself. He has violated the emoluments clause of our Constitution over and over and over again he loves crime. He bathes in crime. But he he uses law and order as a dog whistle and a lot of ways. No no way since one hundred percent right and so the slogan is no justice, no peace and that's almost exactly what's happened during the trump era, there's no justice at all the real criminals. The top Roger Stone and all the others have been released from the jails. It's like a reverse Bain. Vicious release all the white collar criminals, and all the crooks of the. And all Donald Trump's friends Michael Milkin. Blagojevich Democrat doesn't matter nothing matters. Okay except Donald Trump's France so did and then at the bottom. Did any of US get justice? No, the police abuse continued, and and what Donald Trump has to offer us more violence and violence begets violence. So that's where we are today and I'm going to go back one more time. Do speech a twenty sixteen while he was accepting the GOP nomination, he said. Nobody knows the system better than me. Which is why I alone can fix it. Okay well. You've got four years to fix it and apparently only one who could do it. So why are you waiting for? The protests are larger. Also different issue violence is on the rise. While you're not fixing it. Are you holding back? Are you holding? America hostage until your second term, and then you will magically fixing who could believe such preposterous things? He obviously is in over. His head doesn't know what he's doing and everything is done has been counterproductive and led to more violence to. What we see in that ad, which is trump's America? Want, they mentioned rate there in the beginning punched out word to scare people even more. If you're reporting a rate, we will not be responding. Who are you kidding? The reason we're a have deep on the police. Responding, anyway, only thirty percent of rape cases across the country are ever solve by our incompetent police. We WanNA defunding partly because we want to build a better police department that actually solves cases.

Stolen Lives: The Skelton Brothers
"On the day after Thanksgiving in two thousand ten ten years. Zuber's reported her Three young sons missing from her home in Miranshah Michigan. Her husband was supposed to bring the boys back to her on Friday morning but he never did. The couple had been living apart in plan to divorce Andrew. Nine Alexander. Seven and tanner just five years. Old had spent thanksgiving Thanksgiving Day with their father. John Skelton Win Tan. You tried to get them back the next morning. John told her that they were with a friend of his. John then turned up at a hospital. Following an apparent suicide attempt in the years since family and authorities have searched for the skeleton. Boys is without success. John Skeleton has refused to disclose their whereabouts. As time passes the chances that the boys will be found alive continued. Can you to dwindle today. The quiet end. We're discussing the details of the Skelton case and the possibilities of what happened to these three young boys in stolen lives. The skeleton brothers will go over family history and the timeline of events in an effort to better understand what happened and if anything can be done to bring these boys home. So we've got a Nice Michigan Beer for you today. From one of my favorite breweries. This is is K B S Espresso. KCBS stands for Kentucky Breakfast Stout and it's got coffee in it hence the Espresso. This beer is is an American imperial stout clocks in at twelve percent alcohol by volume. So you and I will be splitting our twelve ounce serving the beer is from founders. Brewers I said located in grand rapids. It's a black coloured beer little tiny tan head but did leave a little bit of lace on the side it is a glass and when you get the aroma. It's boom coffee just smacks you in the face. Ladda coffee little bit of chocolate taste. I follows the nose big hits of Espresso followed by some chocolate and the end of the SIP. You can get a little bit of Vanilla. This is a big bodied beer. Little bit on the dry side which is fine with me very nice beer. Let's open it up. Then you got it and off. We go to the quiet end where it's pretty quiet all right. That's descriptive descriptive. Well why don't you go ahead and start the story. I mean it's it's a difficult one it is and you would like to think that the kids are you're still around somehow and all their father has to do is tell us where they are exactly. That's the frustrating part. But I don't think they're around anymore. The skeleton family lived in Marinsky Michigan in two thousand ten and Miranshah small town populations about three thousand as located near. You're the Ohio border. The father John Skelton was raised in Jacksonville and he is thirty nine years old when his three sons went missing when he finished high school John joined the army a move several times he lived in Washington. DC worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland it also spent some time in Alaska and California and eventually he became a truck driver. He and Tania Nia married in two thousand and two actually Tan Ya. I know that doesn't seem right. But that's how she is said that she wants pronounced. Excuse me we'll start over John. Tanya married in two two thousand and two now they had both been married and divorced was previously tenuous first husband filed for divorce from her after she is charged with criminal the Middle Sexual conduct more on that later. According to many people including Tanya John knew about this conviction now John worked for several years and Tanya stayed home with the three kids according to tenure the problems in their marriage began after John Lewis is job job following a Dui yes so Tanya filed for divorce from John Skeleton Back in September of twenty ten before that attenuates say that their relationship was pretty good but Tang you did have history. Tanya had two older daughters from her previous marriage and and she did have a large support system of friends and family nearby but she was far from perfect years before her sons went missing before she even knew John Skeleton. TANU had sex with a fourteen year old boy and she was convicted of fourth degree. Criminal misconduct for this in the late. Nineteen he nineties. But it's believed they. John knew all about her past before he became involved with her but still he would end up using this as ammunition against Hanya claiming naming that she had been sexually abusing his sons when he abducted them. And that's where he took them. He wanted him out of the house right. That was his claim. It's very difficult to believe John. Skelton will find out because he has an ever changing narrative. Yes he does so in September of two thousand ten and John Thiel Tanya that he wanted to move the family to Florida. His parents still lived in Jacksonville where he had been born and had recently gone to his high school reunion there so he had as we said lost his job in Michigan after his Dui conviction and in Florida he told Tanya he could get a job. Bob and the boys could get to know his family now. Tanny didn't WanNa live in Florida and she also had that felony conviction on her record. which meant that? You'd have to fulfil oh specific requirements with the state of Michigan before she would be allowed to move. It was Monday September thirteenth. Twenty ten when John said that he he was leaving for work but that afternoon he signed the three boys out of school. The school called and left a message on Tanis home phone and the school schools secretary had called because she was confused. Tenure had brought the voice to school that morning and dropped off their medicines and lunches and everything but John came in that afternoon said that the family was going on a vacation to Florida and sign them all out of school early. So tenuous confused. She called John After after speaking with the school secretary but he was very vague claiming that he discussed with her taking a family trip to Florida and she had said she didn't want to go with them but Tanja said wait a minute. We talked about maybe moving to Florida and I was looking into it. There was no talk of a family vacation. So it's not really making sense. Let's not sure doesn't bear we've got two divergent reports here. So a friend of ten is called the Miranshah police and spoke with chief Larry weeks weeks offered to mediate between Tan. Yan John so he contacted John and he learned to John and the boys were still in Morandi. John had also set up a meeting with an attorney. This didn't make any sense at all right. And if you supposedly going on vacation in Florida why is he doing all this stuff. Exactly exactly. He's up to something joined told chief weeks at. He is taking the boys with him to see the beach and they were being Florida for three to four weeks so this just this wasn't right. Tanya s John he was taking the boys out of school when the school year had just begun then. He said that he would enroll them in school down there which was even even more confusing. I mean the entire situation was raising some red flags. If this was a vacation why would the boys be getting enrolled in the Florida schools. Also she knew. He couldn't enroll them without their birth certificates and she had those so she tried stalling him for time as her adult daughter's met with an attorney on her behalf and the attorney told her daughters that the only way for tenure to stop John from taking the boys to Florida would be for her to file for divorce divorce from him and ask for emergency custody of the children so things escalated quickly. Where the sure did could it would sound to me? Like he was planning Dan taken into Florida and staying Florida absolutely now. He's going to enroll in school and stuff so share. That's the worry very much so so at this point. John's been driving around town with the three boys. Tenuous stalling him and she said I'm going to look for the boys birth certificates so Johndroe back to the house. Once he's at the House tanny pretended to be looking for the birth certificates. You know she knew where they were and she was stalling until daughters could return with the legal paperwork and then an officer was prepared to serve John with the papers which would make it illegal for him to leave the stay with the kids. Yeah but coincidentally it ended up that both Tan Yan John had met with the same attorney. But because Tanya's daughters had met personally finally with the attorney and paid him before John did Tanisha was the one who retained his services so unfortunately the attorney's office called John and told told them that they couldn't keep their appointment with him because Tanya had hired him and this set John Off. I mean he was furious now he felt like she was trying to trick cam so John left the house angry of course but he did leave without tanner the youngest boy because tanner had come into the house and was kind of hiding behind behind Tania's legs so John Yelled at him to get in the car because his mother was lying to him but he just cried and didn't go to his father Tian her friend protected checked tanner from being taken by John but the two older boys Alexander and Andrew were outside playing and John was able to order the older two boys into his van Tangy told him he couldn't take the boys but he ignored her. The papers for custody were prepared. But you know John hadn't been served with them yet so. John sped out of the driveway in his van. With Alexander and Andrew tenuous sister happened to be walking up the street toward the House and John Nearly hitter hitter with van but fortunately she was able to jump out of his way but John Actually left just minutes before Tana's daughters arrived with the divorce papers in hand the end so John was able to escape Michigan with his two oldest boys and he drove all the way to Florida. The next day he allowed the boys to call their mother. It was her birthday. They actually and they told her that they were swimming. And staying at their daddies friend's House Hillary but ten. You didn't know who Hillary was. She was actually one one of John's friends from his class reunion which he had recently attended down in Florida and he talked to Tanya About Hillary after he'd returned from that trip so Tanya was able to find Hillary's address and contacted her attorney and he gave her papers which gave her exclusive. Custody of the voice Tania Tania's mother intangible. Two daughters drove to Jacksonville to pick up Alexander Andrew and to bring them back home so by that Friday they met with a sheriff's deputy to accompany them to Hillary's apartment complex and the deputy was able to serve papers to John and take custody the two boys the local district court and the sheriff's office were involved so they had to meet with the judge before they could return to Michigan with the boys. What a mess? Yes so they actually had to hang out in Florida for a bit. She's so the following Monday tanny and her mother hired an attorney in Florida and John also also hired an attorney so in front of the judge at the hearing. John immediately brought up tenuous previous conviction for having sex with a fourteen year old now. This was quite a shock for Tanya because John had never indicated any problem with her past admitted that he had known about tennis history since before they were married he had married her and had a family with her and had never before raised any issues about it. So the judge called the court back in Michigan and this is a court familiar with the scouting's uh-huh case and it was determined. The TANNIN would return to Michigan with her sons. Then was the crossed. The line in Michigan tanny would have full custody rights so finally things seemed to work out correctly and after returning to Michigan the boys were back with their mother. John asked Hanyu if there was any chance that they could could work things out and stay together now. Tanja would later say she felt she was really done with the marriage but she agreed to counseling in order to help with co-parenting the boys and keep John Happy so to keep John from becoming angry. She did pretend that she was still interested. In repairing the marriage to John they were working on the marriage when he was anxious for things to get back to the way they were but Tanja felt she'd never be able to trust John Again. She and her attorney made the decision that that it would appear more favourable though to judge if she allowed John to have some time with his kids so instead of maintaining the exclusive custody that she did have a right to you and keeping the boys away from their Father Kanye decided the best thing to do would be to allow him some time with them and she said at this point she really really didn't fear that John would take off with them again because when he'd done it before she'd followed him to Florida and brought them home so he should have known that she wasn't GonNa to let them get away with it again. UAW Strike Against General Motors Enters Its 4th Week
"This message comes from NPR sponsor xfinity some things are slow like a snail races other things are fast like Xfinity X. by almost fifty thousand General Motors Workers Begin this week still on strike it is the auto industry's longest strike in decades and the union the UAW says talks with management over the weekend left the union further from a resolution. Michigan Radio's Dustin Dwyer is covering the story from Grand Rapids Michigan Hey there dustin temporary workers this is essentially tempts who are being hired in a way that they're actually permanent workers but they're just not paid the same and not protected the same way as as a full-time bills for many of them they're in a tight spot financially but most people I've talked to are still very committed to the strike say that this is something that needed to happen good morning what went wrong over the weekend well the information we're getting as you said comes from the UAW specifically comes from UAW vice president Terry did for GM basically didn't respond at all it just reiterated its previous offer and didn't address anything that the UAW had brought up so they seem to be at a stalemate it seems US said this time that in fact they had taken a step back and the Union could not be more disappointed in GM and what he explained happened was that there was an offer on the table scene and heard when you go out and talk to workers well workers are now being forced to live off of two hundred fifty dollars a week in strike pay that is not enough to cover many of their would make and temporary workers can basically fired at any time they don't have long term protections and so what the rank and file members that have that have more permanent status have higher wage than contempt for two years or more and that's really what the rank and file members are fighting again and said listen we just need the flexibility yeah the auto industry is changing everyone it's like things are not going well right now okay so we have the unions version maybe a little bit less from GM side but in any case no doubt that they don't have a deal and people are still on strike so what have you they say they want protections for temporary workers and they're willing to hold out at least for now And so that's what I'm hearing on the line I WANNA make sure that I understand this argument about that Zayn you know the strike is dragged on for three weeks going on the fourth week now and this was one of the first signs that there had been progress but by Sunday had completely changed and Terry does the things are changing and they just WanNa be flexible so that they can change as well dustin thanks very much for the update really appreciate it thank you Steve That's Dustin Dwyer of Michigan

"Experience, you know, lack of support maybe want to advocate for a more equitable educational system that was going on in my life for thirty years. So that a lot of the Trump election and the healthcare problems and just the whole tone of what's going on in this country has made me want to run for congress and Whigs actually in Michigan is the third district. It is not quite to Lake Michigan. But it's on the west side of the state from Grand Rapids north of Grand Rapids to waste out. The battle creek. It's actually four counties and a little bit of another county. It's a very gerrymandered district. I read that it went when it was gerrymandered in two thousand twelve after the census that it was the second most Republican district in the state of Michigan. So, you know, obvious. Asli? I'm not favored to win in this district. But we just read a CNN evaluation that I could either lose by up to ten or win by up to six so. Really a race that I need to keep running. And you know, I think that the votes are there if we keep going here. Yeah. And it doesn't look like there's been a new real pulling in this district. I would say not real poli. I mean, it's hard to to get a poll unless you have a ton of money on. So I think the polls that have been done have been mostly landlines and small samples. So it really I think I have more of a field day on the ground at talking to people every day knocking on their doors. And and I'm feeling really good about it. But you hearing from people as you talk to them, what are the issues that are really concerning them this year. I would say the the most talked about issue is healthcare almost everyone has a story to tell me about either themselves or someone they know very close that is going through or has gone through a problem with nut getting care and time. To catch something in its early stages or not or losing a lot of money trying to pay their bills, and they're in huge debt trying to pay off a hospital stay or something like that. So I believe it a single payer healthcare system, unless somebody teaches me about something different that would work better. I think that we could save a lot of money twenty five to thirty percent. Perhaps just looking at what other countries are doing by negotiating lower, drug, prices and regulating medical procedures with a standardized price. In fact, I read about a study that was done in Wisconsin where the average knee replace that is fifty thousand dollars. So someone did some research for eighteen months. They they actually track the real cost of may replace that. And it was ten thousand five hundred dollars. So we have a lot of work to do to get to the bottom of wire healthcare so expensive. And then of course, the limiting of. Bureaucratic.

Precision components could put because he's a serial entrepreneur. We don't even know what business he's running currently because there've been so many of them what we do know. For sure is he's the chairman of this west Michigan policy forum. Welcome to the Paul W Smith show, a WJR, John. Thank you. Thank you. Good morning and congratulations. Because so far, I know it's just the beginning. It's going to be a long day, but a fruitful day, I can tell now at we're really excited about the cavern and discussing some of the priorities and how we move our state from good to great. This is the beginning. It's only seven now eighteen seven eighteen in the morning at the end of today. What will it take people saying to you to make, you know, this is Penn the success that you're hoping it will be and I'm pretty certain it will be. But what will they be saying to you that will make you happy? So awfully we'll have obviously continue on the two things that we really have sat out to get done. And haven't addressed yet, which is a term limits and unfunded liabilities in terms of dealing with those with our local governments. And then obviously hoping hoping we have one or two things that we could do to help the talent pipeline in the K through twelve system because the last half of the day is about trying to find workers for today. Tomorrow and twelve years coincidentally following you on this very program. Jeremy hinges will be here chief deputy director of talent in economic development for the great state of Michigan and the Marshall plan for talent that we'd been that we've been talking about. And so we're all in line and online with everything the way it's supposed to be. I did get a an interesting. I guess press release from the west Michigan policy forum that mentioned that and we know that the attorney general Bill Schutte is here because he was just here dripping wet in shorts. I commented on his legs, by the way, because he just came in from a run we said, go take a shower, and you can come back sit down and visit with us. But the that that the Royal candidate on the democrat side Gretchen Whitmer, according to this press release it says in big bold, letters Whitmer, declines business leaders invite what's that all about? So we always invite both candidates for governor on the year prior to the election or right before the election because when our conference is scheduled to try to hear how they think about our agenda. And so we made an approach to try to get. Senator Whitmer to calm, and she wasn't able to obviously do whether schedule. I have you endorsed Bill Schutte or made an endorsement at all that might now you wanna come. We will not make any endorsement of any candidates. I noticed in a story from the Detroit News the other day from Paul the Detroit Free Press from Paul Egan that in fact, the Grand Rapids area chamber of commerce endorsed, the Republican attorney general Bill shooting in the governor's race. But not to be confused with you guys. No, no, not at all where we are totally disconnected on policy, and we will never endorse. Gubernatorial candidate what we try to do? Here is get them to talk about our agenda in terms of our policy objectives and talked to ask them questions about how they view our policy objectives. So that the business leaders here can make a choice of who that who they want to support. I know we're talking about this event. But John what? He working on next as a serial entrepreneur why actually run another business that I started in two thousand nine it's called, okay, medical. Oh, okay. So not to be confused with or is that the same as Cam precision components group. So that was the automotive company that I sold in September. You're confusing me. The low fifty seven answer showers continuing a Monday tomorrow, the high close to sixty six for the Weather Channel, I'm meteorologist Jeff marr on news talk seven sixty WJR. All right, Jeff, and we've got a very nippy way to start a Sunday morning. Fifty nine degrees. The average low is fifty eight hour hovering right in that area. But it'll be warming up through the course of the week so plan accordingly. Now, let me see if we can get all these stories in so much to do between. We've got tickets to give away to Frankie Valli and the four seasons we have to somehow someway, squeeze that in because they have one of the great shows. But we'll we'll talk about that. Momentarily but back to the wizard of Oz and Danielle being the resident millennial here you've seen the wizard of Oz. The yeah, you know, about Jesus got these slippers anyway. So I discovered I didn't know what the story broke last Tuesday. The FBI announces that they have found these ruby. Red slippers that were stolen from Judy Garland's museum in Grand Rapids. Michigan Grand Rapids, Minnesota. And I said, I I did not wasn't on top of that particular story to be sure. And so I needed to know more about that. So I was watching I don't know one of the one of the news programs was talking with the director and the CEO of this Judy Garland museum there in Minnesota. And he was talking about. About all sorts of things like when it was announced in what he thought what he thought when he heard the FBI had found these slippers that belong to this museum. Right. Startling news early in the morning. It was all over Twitter and everywhere of the first thing I didn't stop into the local Grand Rapids police department. This wasn't another job as you can guess the thirteen years there have been many pranksters and things like that giving us false hope. So and we found out immediately that this was in fact, the real deal and the actual slippers. We know that they were in the mobile. There was four pairs this. Of course, the most important to us because it was here in Grand Rapids. And why there are four pairs. Why? Is it here posted these pictures on the Warren Pierce show Facebook page, and I was wondering about this. But because it was early this morning. I was doing this one to two o'clock. I posted a picture that asked about where is the pair of shoes. Or where are the pair of shoes? Danielle as our English teacher. It would be is a pair of shoes. Not are a pair of shoes. Right. Where is the parachute? Yes. I posted that well is a pair. A pair is a pair wouldn't be are. All right. Well, we gotta get this. So here you have the the CEO of the Judy Garland museum there in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. And the question is why are they so valuable? I mean, we're talking listen to this now, maybe five million dollars, maybe more because all of us across the world. No matter where we're from can connect to the to the ruby slippers. What they stood for what they symbolized which was the ruby. Slippers took Dorothy wherever she desired, and that's the dream. We all have all right? And I want to expand on that Mr. CEO, but so the FBI during the sting operation, they get the ruby. Red slippers back for the museum. The question is will and his name rain nickel. Will you get them back there in Minnesota? Well. We're working on that. We hope to someday. Have this lepers back in Grand Rapids, Minnesota here, as you know, Judy Garland was born in Grand Rapids. Here. We have her home original house here, Judy Garland museum. And so we really want to work hard feeling this pair of slippers should end and at home. Judy Garland's hometown. All right now, the key is for those of you who are maybe even big fans of the wizard of Oz. You couldn't have known this. I don't think unless you did a lot of reading a research. But these ruby red slippers that were at Judy Garland's museum. We're the ones that were on the that that that which was when the the house fell down and the wicked witch one that's green goes over and sees them and discovers that somehow, someway, they do you. Remember this in the scene? The wicked witch is an envelope in smoke. It's like, I don't know red smoke and then flames come up then flames come up, and then when the smoke and the flames die down, the wicked witches gone and the song that they sing. What? Along. So.
