All right, Bridget, we're going to start by taking a look in Queens. We've got issues here over on the B Q E again this time it's westbound trying to make your way out into a story of Boulevard. "Rapids, confirming one more player. Seven more staff members testing positive. One player and three staffers had Koven 19 last week, postponing a match with Sporting KC and finally day three of the French Open American gem. Brady lost in three sets. 2 17 year old Clara Towson, second seeded Karolina Pliskova surviving in three here, guys, just a quick sports moment of forced unto a news. We've had positive tested Notre Dame all across college football. Now Bogus is mentioning Also the story with the Colorado Rapids and we kind of just move on. It's not a huge story. Notre Dame's game being postpones kind of a big story, but still there's so many other college football games that it Doesn't become this kind of overwhelming story. Do you think of an NFL team had positive tests that we would also just kind of like Russia away and be like whatever would it depend on? The notoriety of the player like it If it was a bunch of no name guys who wouldn't matter, even if he played for you know that the Patriots or something or the Steelers? Or do you think that football has a different attention on it, where it would be a big deal? No matter who tested positive. We'll deal right off the bat. I mean, It took me until focuses second update us. Even though the Falcons had a player in E. J. Terrell, their first round pick has positive and they continue the game and he played on. Yeah, he was. He tested positive before the game, right? He was a corner and they didn't play on Sunday. I believe on Friday or Saturday. He tested positive yet he didn't play. They did quick contract tracing. But if that happened, Major league Baseball has put up with the Moreland's. There would have been no games the NFL played on and it's seemingly been fine. And then the results of the report Saturday of even more false positives with the Houston Texans, and they played that game on with the Pittsburgh Steelers. So I don't know if the NFL is just doing a good job of burying this because their games air getting so much more attention where the other sports, it seems like the covert tests get more attention than the games that it's not his biggest story. Yeah, I'm sure If there was a starting quarterback on Saturday that had to miss the game like the Falcons corner did. It would be a huge story to your point, But I don't know. The NFL just seems like it's even bigger than having to deal with the backlash of playing through covert positive tests. Yeah, You might be right. I find it. I find it interesting. I mean, I kind of think that we're a bit at the moment now as a as a country and a sports fans where Positive covert tests. What kind of numb to it a little bit. It's not that big a deal, but I wonder if that would be different if the game itself was different was bigger and if the names themselves were bigger, right? All right on that note. How about we get stunned to a test done to a news here? It doesn't take much to surprise this bouncing baby boy. This is honestly the most stunned I have ever been on the show to a news show is stunned to a news So here in New York the day the Metropolitan Transit Authority has uncovered a secret man cave in the bowels of Grand Central Terminal. Internet: Old TV caused village broadband outages for 18 months
"It sounds like the plot of a SCIFI novel. In fact, it's literally part of the plot of a sci-fi novel. I read last month Hank Greens a beautifully foolish endeavor every morning for eighteen months the broadband Internet went out in a small village in Wales. Engineers ran a cable replacement program, but it didn't work every morning at seven am on the dut the Internet would go out for the entire village. The engineers were stumped into the used a monitoring device called a spectrum analyzer and walked around the village looking for electrical noise. Engineer Michael Jones said quotes at seven. Am like clockwork. It happened our device picked up a large burst of electrical interference in the village end quote. But it was not alien tech, it was instead a secondhand television set that an anonymous householder was turning on every morning at seven am and which omitted enough true `interference specifically a single high level impulse noise or nine to affect the broadband signal and knockout the Internet in the whole village. The TV owner has said that they were mortified and has agreed not to turn the TV on ever again. Quoting BBC Suzanne Rutherford Open reached chief engineers lead for Wales said anything with electrical components from outdoor lights to microwaves can potentially have an impact on broadband connections. We just advise the public to make sure that they're electrical appliances are properly certified and meet current British standards she said and quotes. which is good to know except most people probably wouldn't be aware that their device is causing any sort of problem i. mean it took them eighteen months to work this out I don't think that your average Joe would necessarily ever think that technology like outdated TV could affect modern tech like broadband but of course, it can and I do think it's interesting to see the interplay of older and newer technology and almost reminds me of how devices that run on electricite go haywire at hogwarts because all of the magic interferes with them, which was definitely based on a real scientific theory and not a convenient explanation as to why the characters didn't watch TV or use computers.

"A couple of local stories from my neck of the woods here in New, York City both to do with our subway. The first one is really making waves online, the Metropolitan Transit Authority or MTA who's in control of the subway here proposed a few new rules at their board meeting yesterday, one of which included officially banning pooping on the subway. Specifically. The rule prohibits unsanitary behaviors quote including limited to spitting, defecating or urinating except in facilities provided and quotes. which is all well and good except that there aren't really any facilities provided some stations technically have restrooms but most of them are locked at all times I mean the US in general in New York City, specifically really sucks at providing public restrooms. The primary public restrooms in the city are inside of starbucks is which I think says a lot about the role of corporations versus the government. But anyways from now on if you want to drop a deuce on a New York City subway, you'll have to pay a hundred dollar fine. But unless gross subway news, a secret party room was discovered deep in the bowels of Grand Central. Station. At the end of track one, one, four hidden inside a locked storage room only accessible via the locksmith shop three MTA employees secretly created a veritable. Complete with food ton mini fridge pull up bar flat screen TV. Amazon. Fire stick, and Lewd drawings on the furniture. When it was uncovered, the fridge contained a jar of peanut butter and a half empty can of log Anita's which tracks with the official complaint documents alleging the purpose of the room was to quote, hang out and get drunk and party. When a CO worker had a dispute with one of the men who created the party room, the secret was blown and all men involved were easily identified by stupid mistakes like leaving receipts for items purchased with their names on them in the room and Wifi. Connecting to their personal phones. The three employees have been put on administrative leave without pay interfacing firing by the MTA office of the inspector, General. At least go down in history alongside other secret underground train station hideouts, or at the very least in the history of fairly epic ideas poorly.

WOMEN SUFFER TOO
"What was I saying? From far away as in a delirium. I heard my own voice calling someone Dorothy. Talking of dress shops sub jobs. The words came clearer. The sound of my own voice frightened me as it came closer and suddenly there I was talking of not what to someone I'd never seen before this very moment. Abruptly, stop speaking. Where was I? I'd wake up in strange rooms before fully dressed on a bed or couch I'd wake up in my own room in or on my own bed not knowing what are our day was afraid to ask. But this was different. This time I seem to be already awake sitting upright in a big easy chair in the middle of an animated conversation with a perfectly strange young woman who didn't appear to think it strange. She was chatting on pleasantly uncomfortably. Terrified I looked around I was in a large dark, rather poorly furnished room the living room of a basement flat. Cold chills started chasing up and down my spine. My teeth were chattering my hands were shaking. So I took them under me to keep them from flying away. My fright was real enough but it didn't account for these violent reactions. I knew what they were. Right a drink would fix them. It must have been a long time since I had my last drink. But I didn't dare ask the stranger for one I must get out of here. In any case in any case I must get out of here before I let slip my abysmal ignorance of how I came to be here and she realized that I was stark staring mad I was mad I must be. The shakes grew worse and I looked at my watch six o'clock. It had been one o'clock when I last remembered looking. I'd been sitting comfortably in a restaurant with Rita drinking my sixth Martinian hoping the waiter would forget about the lunch order at least long enough for me to have a couple more, I'd only had two with her but I, managed four in the fifteen minutes I'd waited for her, and of course, I'd had the usual unaccounted swigs from the bottle as I painfully got up and did my slow spasmodic dressing. In fact, I have been in very good shape at one o'clock feeling no pain what could have happened. That had been in the center of New York on noisy forty second street. This was obviously a quiet residential section. Why had dorothy brought me here who was she? How I had? I met her I had no answers and I dared not ask she gave no sign of recognizing anything wrong. But what had I been doing for those lost five hours my brain world I might have done terrible things and I wouldn't even know it. Somehow I got out of there and walked five blocks pass brownstone houses. There wasn't a bar in sight, but I found the subway station, the name on it was unfamiliar and I had to ask the way grand central. It took three quarters of an hour and two changes to get their backed my starting point. I had been in the remote reaches of Brooklyn. That night I got very drunk which was usual but I remembered everything which was very unusual. I remembered going through what my sister assured. Me was my nightly procedure of trying to find. Willie, Seabrook's name in the telephone book. I remembered my allow resolution to find him and ask him to help me get into that asylum he had written about. I remembered asserting that I was going to do something about this that I couldn't go on. Remembered looking longingly at the window as an easier solution and shuddering at the memory of that other window three years before and the six agonizing months in a London. Hospital. Ward. I remember filling the peroxide bottle in my medicine chest with Jin. In case my sister found the bottle I hid under the mattress.
Bedroom not Boardroom
"Seems that we have all of our conversations either in our master bathroom when you're in the bathtub I'm in the. Or you're putting your makeup on and I'm shaving when we go to bed at night. Yes. How many people? Couples in this country, find that their bedroom has become the center of their home. You know I think for us. It's just the only tiny little space that we can actually have five minutes a privacy but what I have come to realise here in the last couple of weeks is that our bedrooms should not be our boardroom. Century. Our bedroom should be our sanctuary for personal time which you don't get enough attention tape. And Conversations that you and I want to have that is going to build us up. That's going to make better as a couple. Not. Dealing with issues with housekeepers or house managers are car detail. People are the nanny are the kids needs or whatever. I think our bedroom should be our personal sanctuary that belongs to us. I think you're right. I think you're right and I think because people don't realize how many people we have in our home at all times. Folks we have roughly thirty people in our home every day you know the crew gets to our house, they unload their gear, and then they start whether that's lighting whether that's needed to talk to me or you or the kids, and then you have chasing Savannah coming in, and then you've got Grayson and Chloe, and then you've got your mom and then it's a it's like grand central station Grand Central Station's probably not as busy right now is our house is or our bedroom and bathroom. Yes. When Savannah comes in, she's coming to the master bathroom because she has access to all of your makeup mirror. Whatever. So she can touch herself. And then when chase comes in, he's got to use my hair paste my Cologne. He and then go upstairs to my causing get. Yeah. So roughly get dressed halfway before they get to our exact. So you are I think you're exactly right. I just don't know at this particular stage in our life where else we can go because literally todd todd spins half his time just trying to find a nook or cranny where you can get and have some privacy whether that's a phone call or whatever I mean. It's just not there in this house no and so. I have made the decision that today I am ordering a digital lock to go on our bedroom. That, it will be fingerprint just like what's on my closets and no one will have code except for me Julie. And making a commitment to you going forward that we will not discuss business in our bedroom. We will not discuss anything other than you wanting to touch me improperly and the hush. So folks if your bedroom is turned into your boardroom, change the way you do business. Okay.

Redux: Should I Stay Or Go?
"We're going to be talking about letters that essentially ask that question. Should I stay or should I go and as we as we go through these questions today? We'll there'll be a sort of ever escalating build up to the harder questions. Staying are going as we know. Sometimes it's a fairly light decision other times. It's incredibly complicated. Well you're in the middle of this male storm because you and your big mouth you're kind of like Grand Central Station of ambivalence about whether people should you know stay with the status quo or get out of usually a destructive relationship because of that column. You wrote. That's right and there's a quote from that column was titled. This calm was called the truth. That lives there. I I also touched on this issue with my com tiny beautiful things quote from tiny beautiful. Things is that people have bandied about the Internet and wanting to leave is enough and I think that you know that. Certainly the heart of this column so I received essentially a chorus of letters from people who are in one situation and that is. I love my partner. I respect my partner but I just have this feeling that that there's something else out there for me and that I want to go explore other things now. Some of these letter writers had been dating the person for a few months. Some of these letter writers were married for years. And what I you know my answer was really I- I answered via story about my own struggles. When I was married to my first husband. I was in that exact situation. I loved him. What was so painful about my divorce is I had to break my own heart again. You have to be brave enough to break. Your is something I wrote and something. I learned the hard way because I kept waiting for there to be a sort of outside reason. Leave my husband. Oh he was abusive or he was. He cheated on me or he did this or that or the other thing and honestly. I think that that's ultimately why I t's on my first husband which I really regret because it very much my values but I finally you know I. I was so young that I didn't have the strength. Or the internal sense of of knowing that like it was enough for me to say I need to end this relationship simply because I feel like there's something missing in my life and I need to go seek it and I need to seek it on my own outside of the confines of a committed relationship and so to do that was revolutionary for me life. Changing a great decision and an incredibly painful one so in this column the Truth. That lives there. What I was speaking to is not the idea that the minute you have any doubts or struggles in a relationship. You should leave now sometimes. It's been misinterpreted in that way. And I think that's really unfortunate. I am all for grappling with your feelings and stain in those difficult moments and relationships and seeing what's going to happen on the other side of your fears your doubts so I don't advise people and I'm just going to say it for the record. I said not columbine got overlooked of course is that it is important to know that in every relationship. We're going to have doubts in every relationship. We're going to have struggles but in my experience there was also this burning core of truth and what I said to people is when you have that feeling. The only question left is are you going to do it later or are you going to do it now and almost always when you have that kind of truth. That is driving your decision. The truth lives there. You know the sooner that you can see to it the better off you're going to be and also the better off the people in your life. I wasn't doing my husband my ex-husband any favors by staying married to him. Because when I was in so much turmoil in doubt and the minute I cut myself free of that. We were both liberated essentially from the struggle and allowed to go off and have the lives that we've come to have and so many of the letters that we get have to do with that fundamental feeling. There's some forced. It's telling me I've got to change my life. I've gotta get out of a relationship a workplace whatever it is and yet and we know that even though the constant condition of life is change people are terrified and justifiably and they sort of crave as children do routine and stability. And that's our HOMEO- static mechanisms operates this war inside of all of us and so that's what we're going to get into going to battle battlegear on. Let's do it the first letter all right dear. I've been pulled into an emotional affair with an older married friend. He and I became close over the last two years. What I initially saw. His friendship has grown into intimacy. He has a troubled marriage. That's been on rocky ground for a long time and it has survived his infidelity. My friend and his wife have children and are trying to make their marriage work while. My intentions are not sexual. I care very deeply for my friend and I still crave the closeness and emotional intimacy of our relationship. Is there a way to salvage this friendship in a way? That's healthy and respectful or do I need to politely. Bow Out before I create more trouble in an already. Turbulent life signed totally in over my head What he thinks. It's a very complicated letter so totally in over my head. The first thing. That is really just confusing. It's unclear to me why you are referring to this relationship as an emotional affair rather than a friendship if your intentions are not sexual but there is deep intimacy there. Why wouldn't it be a friendship? Why do you categorize it as a licit and my suspicion is because as parole reminded us in our infidelity episode? There isn't this sexual alchemy necessarily but there's something that feel secret and covert and that occupies a space a kind of emotional intimate space. That really is appropriate for a partner and I say this all the time in the context of relationships. You know you know a friendship is over when you're talking more about somebody than to them and you know That a marriage is really in trouble when your partner isn't the person with whom you have the deepest most intimate conversations. It feels to me like what you're saying is that you are in a relationship with this guy that occupies the space and the emotional energy and attention that should be going towards this guy healing his relationship with his wife which is what he says he wants to do. I think if we apply Cheryl's complex rule of thumb. This letter is an expression unawareness that you are occupying a space right now that you feel really as appropriately belongs to this wife and husband until they can figure out whether the marriage is going to sustain itself and be re healed and then your friendship doesn't have to be something that's an emotional affair. It's what we need in life outside of our central partnership if we find a partner is good friends. There's suspicion that you're casting on yourself and I would think less about his life. Think about your life. I think this letter comes out of an expression that you know that you're in a relationship that's unhealthy for you at the moment. My Hunch. Is that your hunches. You need to step back from this friendship until he figures out whether his marriage is going to be he'll lable or not. Yeah I think that you know the answer totally in over my head. You don't sign a letter totally in your head. You're you're in a relationship that's not right. That doesn't feel right to you. And so you need to bow out. And we all crave closeness emotional intimacy and you can find that in a relationship that feels. That feels good. And so you need to let this one.

"There's one about Sandy Hook Parkland whatever the more recent one is. They both came out the same day. Oh really the Los Angeles Times. I'M WE'RE GONNA print outs that I found here is. This is all alien to me. Ceylan says he doesn't know we never got lost weight. We've done Kayla if you lost weight. What three pounds trained I? It's it's The Los Angeles Times op-ed where they're talking about arming teachers and how many people would save and so what if it saved. Oh I don't think that's what that is you know I. I'm saying that they know you another one because obviously math is also obviously the backbone of Statistics and when people cite statistics. I sometimes want to just run headlong into a cement wall. Because you can't even explain you can't even get to a basic like the high school statistics level with somebody to even comprehend. It's I well look math. Math is the opposite of feelings. It really is. They're two very separate parts of your brain and math if you do any kind of engineering and they talk about sheer load lateral load and in all just tensions and when you do building when you do like earthquake rehab. It's all one big math equation. That's turning into the train. Waste this much to bridge spans this this can you want somebody doing rehab on a on a property. Gut Rehab and so I've got to do the load. I'm putting pen pals on I. I wonder if somebody if you were given the choice. Would you rather win? You're sleeping in that penthouse. Have somebody who had feelings figured out whether the load was appropriate or would you rather have somebody who actually just sat and did them out right so we now had a job if you are feelings based person you teach kindergarten to special needs kids and or if you were math based person you'd be an engineer and you could. I'll give you I one of the most pivotal pivotal people in my educational career. Were two teachers. Mr Jackson who was an elementary schoolteacher. Who WAS BASE? A math teacher Fourth or fifth grade and then this doctor Marzak who was my logic professor in in high school and they were total math. I mean Rensselaer Polytechnic University Grad in the guy was Was Probably Caltech trained but they just sat there and felt. It was their duty to teach young minds how to do math and he would back. Then you could just he would wack wack Ma'am side the head with a slide rule if I said something but they they just thought it fourth or fifth grade. You should learn how to do math. Do Math in your head and do division though like I was just pointing out to the On the screen there if you see five hundred million over three hundred twenty seven million you should know intuitively. It should not. You don't even have to get to the math. You should know intuitively. That is not a million dollars. You know at first person. I mean I'll see to me. There's there's two sides of it there's an actual math side of it and then there's like a morality side of it because she's basically calling out old. Whitey you know what I mean. He could have given everyone a million dollars so you have to think. She screwed up the math but her feelings are very true. Well why do all the people deserve a million dollars? But they do with that million dollars. Why is it Bloomberg job to make everyone rich but it cuts across the entire spectrum? Because I was thinking about that. I'm thinking how is this a New York Times? I know who she is. I've read stuff. I've I've seen her before. She's incredibly smart and Brian Williams. I've I've always been kind of a fan of his delivery his use of language and Gee they must hate him in the control room. I'm that's all I can think of because somebody that you're not telling me that the entire NBC studio. Nobody saw that thing instead. A wait a second here. A million dollars a person not I mean nobody figured out and all I could think of what I was watching. I sat with the witness yesterday and had to go through. I put it on a blackboard. I'll send it to you. Gary you can watch it. I because I took a picture I said. Okay here's fifteen million. Okay the wire transfer got reverse right. Yeah Okay so then. They tried it again. In the wire transfer got reversed because why guy goes to large the next one. How much was that nine million? Okay what did it get reversed? Yeah because it was too large. Yeah okay the next one two million. Yeah so does that get reversed. Yeah do you see a pattern here? In a week from fifteen to nine to two guy goes well. Yeah they all got reverse said. You'd see a pattern here. He says Oh. No I said isn't the pattern that they try to fifteen. It was too large. They went to nine hundred ten million. It was too large. Then they went to. It was too large and the guy goes well. I've never really thought of it that way. How long have you been on this case? Two years okay. You never thought fifty nine to two. There was a better. I mean. That's that's America. That's what you're dealing with that I mean to me that's when I end and they wonder why they told me to sit down. Shut up and take a breath at the end of the day because I said I don't even know what a universe I'm in what I know of we need. I'll tell you what we need you and I and I'll bring a few of my friends you know. Nixon Torah maybe Kevin Hanson. Dr Drew. You bring a few your guys that are in our Democrat. We don't call it yelling island and everyone will think we're there to have sex with underage girls but really they're just to go. I can't believe it the voice over guy the other. Jesus Goddamn Christ what's going on? I came home. One of my friends are roller. Scam to my God Damn House because you remember when you were a kid over vending thousand roller skating. When his dad came home up she's eating fucking cheetos plates wiping her hand on the sofa. God Damn it. It's it's astonishing but I I wanNA tell you 'cause I can't handle it fresh books as an entrepreneur being good at your craft as important boys true but you have to stay compliant and boy. Mom-to-Beauty: How to Look Your Best When You Feel Your Worst
"Hey i'm amber and i'm ryan and this is art heartbeat. The real true about the fake so one of our segments that we are bringing back is talking to real women about things that you're going on procedures that they've dried products that they've tried and today's guest is really near and dear to my heart for a lot of reasons. I knew her when she she was a p._a. At box now over a decade ago over a decade ago and now she is a beautiful on air talent. She's she's a writer. She's so smart watched grow and blossom and she's a mom to be so. I'm so happy for her. She's just a really beautiful elegant woman and what's so incredible is and so unique about this is that for all of you women out there who are trying to become mothers or are are in a certain stage of pregnancy or maybe you just had a baby about. It seems like there's a lot of conflicting stuff out. They're out there and you know for some women she. She said that she got really sick at first yeah and she was feeling her where she's got great advice for that by the way so you wanna stay tuned for that but what was interesting is that she's also an on air correspondent so even though she was feeling like trash she had had to look her best and i think that some of the tips that she has here a really wonderful so it's my pleasure to introduce our next guest miss kelsey bowler. I feel like this is <music>. Are i like on the road show. I finally got you to d._c. To d._c. We totally got out of. I got out of the train like ryan. There's the capital oh my god we have to. We have to take a picture he's like are we doing this now but meanwhile as someone like drives by the cat calling oh god god indeed seeing these bad as new york the catcalls no although that i train station freaks me out more than new york transition he was really worried about. I don't know i mean it. Was it was a nation. I know but there's just a lot of grand central's better better but passion. I would take union overpass okay. I'll the i agree so kelsey. Thank you so much for having us here. First of all where tell us about the building that we're in right now because this it just feels old an old and all of the right waved preserved like it's had some good bo talks not like it needs a renovation. We're talking saying i'm really beautiful. What does the history behind this building while it did recently get some bow talks downstairs at the staff lounge where you got your waters and coffees when you walked in here but we are at the heritage foundation which is why working working as the nation's leading and largest conservative think tank. I have been working here for five years. <hes> i'm on the media side so oh i call myself conservative journalists they have a multimedia website called the daily signal and i produced videos. I write right and i do commentary for them. <hes> been here yet five years in in d._c. In it so close to the capital. I never take those views for granted. I have to say and i will throw this in. I met kelsey gosh. What was it ten years ago. At least we were working at fox <hes> at at the time we were working on <unk> slaving away there i that's how i met you guys in ryan right there too so oh. It is so awesome when i see you now on fox. It's just like a proud older sister. That's how i feel so congrats ball cause you were my older sister sure and so funny that i'm doing media now because i still get so nervous and i am not a natural like you were and still are and i still look to you for inspiration because you just like don't care what people think you will do. Stand ups in the middle of nowhere. Who's watching and i get nervous if i have like three people watching meanwhile on t._v. Millions of others could and they and they are but you know what you really. You pull it off so well. You're so eloquent and you look gorgeous. You really do i mean and with that beauty. That's your like one of those people who its natural beauty and i have to ask what are are you doing now because it was one thing when you were twenty five but now that we're not actually how old are you now. Let's say thirty wow the big three. Oh welcome welcome. Welcome welcome. I've only got what like another five minutes left. Hold on girl so tell us a little bit about what you do. Beauty beauty wise while it's it's an interesting question especially coming from the background where you know me from at because i did work very briefly the in the beauty and lifestyle world and i learned a lot very quickly <hes> but i also very quickly realized that moving to d._c. From new york was the the right move for me because i wanted to learn about how congress works how bill becomes law and really <hes> take my career in that direction. <hes> <hes> an beauty. I just have to say i'm very blessed from my mom and my parents i say my face and my hair i i get from my mom and my height and my good genes. I get from my dad. <hes> i don't over think it. I always loved natural beauty <hes> so i just i just tried to accentuate <hes> qualities that i already have i feel so lucky to have nice hair and for wild growing up i never wanted to touch it or highlight highlight it because i was worried that it would get stringy and unhealthy while she was the smart one sit out in the sun or good tanning beds either yeah i did go to a couple of dealing that you get your skin checks. Now not not too not too many but i did <hes> but you know i i. I guess maybe it worked for me because my hair is still in good condition and i don't do anything over the top now and i tried to only get highlights. <hes> maybe three times a year just so i don't overdo it and i do buy losch <hes>. Is that my pronouncing it right. No that's okay. It's i mean the tomato tomato tomato but at the end of the day you're not overlapping and you're not going all the way to the root. It's <hes> bellagio is the french term so it's just awesome. It's a technique. It's painting. Don't worry because i butchered you. Remember that time. I tried to say what was <hes> dr harass the e._m._t. No i turn a lot of things on here so you're in good company <hes>. I hope it's okay that i share <hes> you're also a mother to be. You're expecting <hes> congratulations with that. Thank you and so i was interested in how you're handling you know on the one hand you're on tv right which is a visual media and you. You have to be looking your best on your on t._v. On fox and on the other you know you've got to be concerned about what they're putting it or face about. Things things like highlights like have there been any concerns as a expecting mother that other women might be like <hes> absolutely <hes>. I'll get into that in one second but i just have to say with t._v. Makeup i've learned very fast. It's very different from makeup that you would wear every day yeah on. I'm very lucky that i can go over to fox news in have their professional hair and makeup artists <hes> do my hair and makeup when i go on t._v. V and there. I learnt some really simple tricks that i incorporate now like <hes> the how how much fake lashes can really open your eyes and change you. Hello she points to her. I have eyelash extensions. Ryan has gotten eyelash perm. They still goodbye amazing the things about that. I feel naturally too short to even work for naturally too long so everywhere i go people like your lashes great user naturally too long long. They are what what a terrible i didn't. I didn't think they were gonna look fake when i did it and they can. They know they don't don't look fake. They just looked phenomenal. Think yeah i had no idea and calculating but like you would probably not do this because the chemical anier i in be while you're pregnant right. Yeah i guess not. I'm trying not to be too crazy. <hes> you know i'm still using my same makeup and skin in care. I use kills love. Their cleanser love their moisturizer <hes> but the hair products. I was more concerned about and i didn't really have a way around this. It's actually something. I'm concerned about them out of hairspray. That's flying around the fox news green room when i'm there multiple times a week and i'm just inhaling failing that i'm like he's still be alive province. You're good. You're more than great. I mean our mothers and grandmothers than that al net honey you know women have babies who work in hair salons around chemicals and stuff all day not just the hairspray work until the absolutely popped the baby out to because it's you know what's up. It's that niche where like you have to be. You don't get paid if you don't work so they're working up until they can't so you're good nichols honey. I promise so i try try not to be too crazy and over thinking things and i just let the professionals do their job. When i go in there. It's amazing that i can <hes> go bare face jason half asleep because some of the hits are super early in the morning and they make me look awake with those big lashes that actually don't look good once. I leave fox when you're not used to wearing that makeup. It's very very heavy. Well they'll tell you they would never put this makeup on you unless you were going on t._v. It's not the type of makeup they do for even for your wedding right. It'd be very different right <hes> so when i come home absolutely my husband does not think i look amazing which is funny because when you're on t._v. You do look amazing amazing. They know what they're doing but in person it's not. I actually take it off very quickly because i'm also worried about <hes> breaking out. Totally i call it deboning. That's what i used to haul it because it was like oh my gosh you look like a playboy bunny but not in the best ways that said thomas now i think he's so used to it because he works at foxtail and sees all the women in in their lashes in their makeup that he'll be like no. You look fine but i think it's from a distance. What is it like a monet from a distant far far from good head. Yes crazy 'cause now at h._d. One thing that everyone can do at home that i learned from them is teasing teasing. Oh the backcomb right. You just need to buy that teasing comb which is like a couple dollars. Conair c._b._s. makes all the difference does so. Do you tease everyday. I gotta be honest. I feel like i will when i remember but it's never really got to get in there. Don't you ryan not really with the right comb you. Shouldn't you know when you back home. It's just a couple hits and you should be good to go and then spray it with a little hairsprayed and it'll stay back or does you're going i it's so i tried to do it this morning and i feel like it falls out by the end like my hair's not brea no not at homes night the yeah either dry texture dry shampoo apu or hairspray like anything to get gritty <hes> but i'm sure again you want to minimize be careful yet and there's there's a balance at fox their <unk>. Look you full but professional and not going overboard. I handed you hair extensions for your wedding my gosh i had no idea what i was doing. How did that go. Oh well. Did you see pictures. They were amazing. It was it was one of these crazy hot weekends of course even though it was in september over labor day the weekend so my hair was curled and luckily we got most of the pictures done in time and later on in the night my hair was like pretty much straight straight actually by the end of it was up in a bun because i stopped carrying and just got sweating on the dance floor fun <hes> but the extensions makes such a huge difference and it was i i know amber was the first person i ever met who taught me what extensions were and so she was the first person i went to one as i need extensions for my my wedding and obviously she hooked me up with the best of the best and i got so lucky that ryan now lives indeed so ryan is this is like three degrees of separation or two because the person that i learned extensions from was ryan so here we are at this happy circle of

NYC to Be First US City to Use Congestion Pricing: How does it work?
"On the show congestion pricing. This is basically the idea of taking one part of a city, you know, maybe the most crowded part of the city and charging people to go there today on the show. Does it work who's doing it and is coming to a city near you? Also, how long is it gonna take me to get across town? Okay. So we should try to hail a cab. Oh looks like there's some Cavs. Oh my gosh, right away. Hi. We're just going all the way across town to the west side. No. He just looked at us. Like, we were insane. We're like we're trying to get cross down. Here was like, oh, no. This message comes from NPR sponsor snowflake. The only data warehouse built for the cloud unlock. Today's indicator is to that is how many miles it is from one side of forty second street to the other so across Manhattan, the horizontally, so this is deep midtown. The beating heart of overcrowded New York, forty second street goes by Grand Central station time square port authority bus terminal. It is one of the most heavily traffic streets in the. Yeah. This two miles roughly twelve blocks is a treacherous stretch. So treacherous as Dr I discovered some calves will not even drive it. It's a nonstarter for some cabs. But we finally did find a heroic cabdriver who would take us Muhammed Sharif. He's been driving taxi in Manhattan for about six months. Now, what is it like driving a New York? It's. Restarting time, we're gonna see how long it takes us to get cross town, and it is four thirty five pm definitely rush hour. So this congestion pricing plan was passed by the New York legislature. But it won't be put in place for a couple of years. We asked Muhammad if he'd heard about it. What do you think about that? I'm not sure you would say would lectured us at fake or that like to make more money. How much? Actually, it's both. According to Bruce Schaller, he's a public transportation consultant here in New York. Do you think it's a good idea for New York? Yes. Reduced congestion the city because charge people some people will decide to take the bus to come in and said driving, and the Secondly, it raises very badly needed revenue for public transportation. We've had what we call a subway crisis for the trains are overcrowded. There's a lot of work to be done. And we need the funding to do that a lot of funding. It's estimated that New York will need to spend tens of billions of dollars to fix the subway system and congestion pricing has proven itself to be a really fast effective way to raise money says Bruce places like Singapore, and Stockholm do it London rolled out congestion pricing. And they've seen speeds increased by thirty percent checking in were just passing Grand Central station. We have been in. Cam for six minutes, not bad. It's been a nice, right? Honestly, making pretty good time. There's still plenty of details that need to get ironed out. Not least of which is just how much is this toll going to cost New York. Governor Andrew Cuomo suggested a flat fee per car per day of about eleven or twelve bucks and twenty five dollars for trucks. But there will be some exemptions. The state has already approved breaks for emergency vehicles for people with disabilities and other groups are asking for exemptions. As well delivery truck drivers, livery cab drivers motorcyclists police officers, and that could really affect how much money the congestion pricing plan brings in and at least in Muhammad's view. If all these guys get exemptions. It's not gonna help traffic at all or raise much money. Right now, we're in a very familiar part of town right by the new York Public Library and Bryant park where the New York office of NPR's high indicate high NPR IMP are. Yeah. "Meeting of the MTA money taking agency that it's the state agency that at times Andrew we've allies Cuomo king Cuomo the second the sun amount of your protocol. King Cuomo the I will decide each in charge of or not in charge of. But I think we're all any cream in the subways of falling apart the bus services a dollar short day late Long Island, railroad service has never been worse. But the one area that actually the services relatively good is metro north. So if you're taking it out of Grand Central terminal and remember the region, you call it a terminal unlike Penn station is that it stops all chain stop at Grand Central. They don't go any further. Oh, it's gorgeous. It's a beautiful. I mean Curtis when you go there. It's a beautiful place. And actually what I think they've done really. Well. At Grand Central is that and family, I'll visit them in Connecticut and elsewhere, and you kind of go and take the train you. They have nice restaurant. They put in some high end shops. So it's not like, you're like, you know, praying you know, that something's gonna escape you feel safe. Nice passing. I know you got a lot of homeless people. You got a lot of mentally ill. They're down in the food court area. It's a little scary bathrooms. Motto gulag ages. So you'll hold it in you, definitely don't go to the bathroom and that half of the urinals, broken porcelain palaces broken. But generally if you need the clock is center of Kranj, and they were like thirty platforms. Double the number of platforms at Penn station. Has you feel a lot more comfortable? The ambiance is nicer. It's a landmark building. So they maintain the look and the feel of when Vanderbilt I built it. Although it went through different transitions until eventually we see what it is now. Well, guess what the MTA which is always saying they don't have enough money. Don't have enough money to fix the subway the buses don't have enough money to do all the fixing that the Long Island railroad needs. They're they're they're frightening to raise the fares. Even though the services at an all time low. They've somehow found thirty five million dollars to purchase Grand Central terminal. And I'm saying why would we want the MTA to own Grand Central terminal? We see the disaster. Amtrak homes Penn station, it's a third world station. It's a complete disaster. Why would we want the MTA the money taking agency to own Grand Central station? They've been leasing the facility they've been leasing the Harlem line the Hudson line stations for like centuries. Actually, it's a two hundred and eighty year lease Curtis, and they say that this will help them to develop the lines the Hudson line and the Harlem line, the one thing I was surprised about Curtis. When I first saw this is that they bought it as you said for thirty five million. You're looking at grants were just sort of as as someone who looks again, I love the architecture of Grand Central. I think it's beautiful. I think it's I feel safer there. Because there are a lot of cops and other things too as a woman. But my thought was thirty five million dollars for that big location on the surface. It sounds like at not I understand thirty five million dollars is a lot of money, but for such a huge location, and you put it in perspective with Amazon and all the other monies that we're hearing it's a pretty good deal. Yeah. But what are you gonna do with it? Because it's a landmark status building you can't touch anything on that building. So you can outsource the running of the restaurants in the little Chachi shops and hope you make money like they claim they like to make money in Penn station, but they're losing money. So you say to yourself do we really want government running Grand Central station? Or would it be better off if a private entity ran or a private entity took care of all the stations along the Harlem line or the Hudson line had a contract with the government to serve them and take care of them. Because in my mind is like if you don't have enough money to run the subways. The buses in the Long Island railroad and the one line that gives you relatively good service the Harlem line and the Hudson line, you know, you get the red trains, go to Connecticut they invested. They didn't invest whereas new did invest, so it seems in New York trains. You're embedded shaped tend to Connecticut trains because every time I've taken a metro north up to Connecticut and you have to use the facilities. It's like the blue lagoon. Oh, yeah. I was gonna say you definitely don't want to use. And also after hours even though during rush hour. You know, you see lots of people in suits. You see, you know, well-dressed after hours, and there are some pretty scary. Go into the they put in these little porta into trains, you go on the New York side of metro north no problems. You take the Connecticut trains, which read, and it'll take you up to New Haven and other parts, you're Fourche. And then all of a sudden you look underneath the door. And it's like a blue lagoon. It's dripping right on. All the times I've been on the trains Curtis. I don't think I've ever I'd rather be blue in the face. Actually. Thank God about. Coming right down the line. And then everyone the rest of the way they gotta have their feet in the air. They can put the feet on the ground. Anyway, you think it's worth spending thirty five million dollars for the MTA the money taking agency to purchase Grand Central terminal and ruin that and ruin all the all the train service stations along that line one eight hundred eight four eight WABC that's one eight hundred eight four eight nine two two two and the other untold story because we're gonna be talking about all the subsidies. We are giving the world's richest man Jeff Bezos, and Amazon what are the richest companies three billion dollars in welfare to set up in Long Island city is years ago. You remember when it was Senate Alphonse D'amoto? Absolutely. He convinced the federal government to stay government to kick in monies to build what they call the Grand Central terminal link because people like our own Brian Mongolia, which was so insisted that they were tired of just. Taking the Long Island railroad from parts unknown out in Long Island to Penn station down below us. And I get it. It's a third world station down there. So they say can't we have an extension that takes us to the east side of Manhattan. So that we can actually take the train to Grand Central Amtrak and Jack has service from Grand Central. It. Also has service from Penn station, so Alphonse Allie boy D'amoto the US Senator at the time. Basically bamboozled the government. He give billions of dollars to this project. Twenty one billion dollars. Right. Was the total overall cost. It's now a billion dollars over budget. They promise it'll be finished in twenty twenty two. You know, Ma quantum is going to be a month of Sundays. They have no show jobs have unions, negotiate contracts with the subcontractors, and then they bring it to the MTA, and they say, this is our deal. Well, that's what always happens. It always gets ballooned, but I will say in the case of Grand Central terminal Curtis that it is. It's a I actually think it's they've done a good job refurbishing it. I remember, you know, years ago, you didn't really want to be there. Now, it's even with the holidays. They have that little holiday market where they have all the little who who. It wasn't the MTA. It wasn't. It was a private company. And and that's I agree with you. But I do think if they claim their reason that they say they took it over was that they can have more control that they can do more development issues. But I agree with you so far don't fix don't try to fix. What's broken? Right. We really want the governments have more control. No of this iconic statuesque building Grand Central terminal. And you know, the difference is I don't know if a lot of our listeners will like me in the sixties youngster. They used to be the original Penn station downstairs which had these eagles. These quarries eagles. The grace like the top edge is a Penn station and they used to fill movies. They're like, they didn't grant central and I would say Grand Central was always my favorite train station train buff. But the old Penn station was magnificent. And then they decided they were going to take a wrecking ball to it wasn't landmark status is no such thing. And this is when John Lindsay was mayor. He was the Bill de Blasio of his time. He ruined the shitty, and they took a wrecking ball, and they destroy this magnificent edifice in order to build this thinking Madison Square Garden of which were attached to where we're. Broadcasting from the page. No property tax Jimmy Dolan to annual Cuomo ought to the city, and after that, that's when landmark status came about. Because people throughout the city said how could they have destroyed such a gorgeous train station in edifice that was that was sort of symbolic of New York like Grand Central terminal and Penn station. And now look at it in station. I'm glad that they are keeping it at least for Grand Central. I am glad that they are keeping the landmark status because I do actually think even though it makes it very difficult for building as you talk about in for advancing. But I also think it is such a beautiful structure. And there's something to be said when you walk into a terminal that's a transport terminal where you can actually like go. I mean, I've had some great dinners there. You know, I I've met friends for drinks, you always kind of neat at that tower there as you talk the clock right there in the very. Now the accompanied by homeless people. Ready enough? I already see enough of them here. Sitting at food court, and they do have a lot of nice vendors down there in the food court. What you're sitting there. And there are I mean, dozens of homeless people and people clearly who have psychiatric problems, and you just don't want to eat you food there. And they don't mind it because they know you can walk away. You're gonna leave you Trey. And then they have some good gourmet food to eat that you got overpriced. Right. Because you know, they they charge. You prices are through the roof, but that takes away from that whole experience, but I like the market you're right because the the food court is sort of a whole different world from the regular. The under belly. It's like the two there's the tale of two cities right there, but the market areas, actually, really nice. It's kind of like a whole foods if I'm going to Grand Central terminal meeting visiting guardian angels this shadow a twelve noon right near the clock reminisce with all of you. And I'll take you on a tour. Oh, go ahead. If you actually show up I'll show you underneath a Waldorf historian. There's a gold door. Yes. And by the way, I have not been there. But I have heard about that. There's some cool little. It's seven levels down seven levels down there all the steam pipes to keep all the buildings in midtown. Warm and with hot water, and it's where FDR Roosevelt used to have a secret entry into Grand Central because. Yes, he had polio. And didn't want anyone to know. And so they would lower from the Waldorf Astoria with the president used to stay writing to a special presidential train. They would even lower his car in there. And boy if you've ever had an opportunity to be down there like me because it's a no go area. I think they call a track sixty one. Yes. Yes. I am. Actually, I have been to that scene. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. They also have Kurdish two they also have there's some very kind of high end locations where they do private parties to on the flip side that are up where there some secret doors that actually lead to sort of private rooms where they have some sort of fancy schmancy overlook like like Ted Cruz when he did some event or a couple like number of folks when they were doing some very soda, she private events, even during some of the campaign, some of the candidates did it, and you would never know you go buy these. Doors and one of them like you said goes down to that secret area where I've been and then one goes to another sort of the other end of the world, you know, high up well, the red Chinese now have access to platform sixty one because they own the wall. Lock stock and barrel. Anyway, let's go to Jack in Long Island. Welcome to Kurdish Rita. Cosby here. WABC Jack, Jack. Listen. Well, yeah, you're talking about the homeless, of course, those credence. What about the the rat? I'm not talking about the Whitey Sammy Proventil Iraq Kurdish member they were running all over the food after hours. Oh, yeah. After hours. I think it would start the donuts. I don't want name name Dunkin donuts. Aw. The vendors some of the finer restaurants because they've had a rat problem. I actually suggested Jack to the people who do maintenance it's it's an outsource company that they actually put some cats in Grand Central station and guarantee they had some catch home around. I wouldn't want that would eliminate picks the rats, but I don't think it makes for a really attractive eating experience a cat chasing a rat between having a little a little sushi. The rats will smell the cat, and they won't come out. But without a cat. They're not afraid to you read. It you're not afraid of me. In fact, it'll be doing the Harlem shuffle. They'll be doing the crypt dance in the middle of Grand Central station. Don't think that.
