"Even though he hasn't said it before. I think you've said it before how that transfer hasn't really worked. He still been more Loki crucial for bastard than a lot of people giving credit for. And here is another example of that. Watching him combine with Messi in the Copa del Rey final was like, it was a really beautiful moment of like, you know. I think, you know, like, you know, that thing will always have Paris. It's like we'll always have athletic club in that Copa final for him. The way that him and messy combined, I saw that and thought that that's the future. That's the future for Barcelona if they keep that. And that honestly, at his best, even the Barcelona in an unfamiliar sort of tactical setting or an unusual tactile setting he is spectacular. The sad thing of course is, as you say, right, with biscuits like Chavez, there's just no real way that chavi can not start biscuits the way the biscuits has been playing in the setup that he likes. And there's also no way you can keep a player of the quality of Dion in the shadows for too long. It's of course he keep them on the field because he gives you more on the field than off. But this is a funny one, Barcelona might need to have faith in their own processor be like that will let him go because we're going to get the midfield configuration which will work for us. We will have midfielders that will do the job. We will find players moving on our ranks that will deliver Nico and Pedro all there. This is the thing. Anything else in the league you want to search on? No, that's good, actually. I think we're good. I'm good. I'm just very quickly in the women's Spanish Super Cup final. Barcelona beat at leti 7 nil hat trick for Caroline Graham Hansen. But there was a lovely moment after the game where bar suppliers circled around Virginia Tori killer. It was their first appearance for Atleti since having surgery for a brain tumor. So despite having won the game at full time, faster players all went rounder and lifted or up in the air and threw up in the air like you know how people players do with coaches when they win a toy. Yeah, the pep thing. Yeah. It was just a really lovely moment. Just a really, really nice moment, but basa. This is revenge as well because this time, I've made beaten last year on penalties. So this was like a real kind of light. This was a payback. And Barcelona like Graham Hanson particular. They're going to regret this respecting Barcelona with all these like team of the year awards and like individual awards. Because here's the thing. I think those things matter, weirdly enough, I think that the disrespect by those awards not being given. Galvanises the players more than the respect by them being given. You know, the way that Barcelona had been disrespected by team of the year awards is just come on. Graham Hansen's coming for everyone. But I got a hat trick here. I think a hat trick and three assists actually and just ran the show. Anything else in Spain you want to touch on, should we? Take a break. Nothing. We're good. We're good. All right, man, let's go to the Premier League. Let's do it. Where would you like to begin? We could begin at the bottom. I think we should. Yeah, so.

"Seven seasons are readily available and the show stars Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu and it's an interesting modern take on Sherlock Holmes that was produced around the same time I think they actually crossed over with each other at the same time the Benedict Cumberbatch was starring in the Stephen Moffett Sherlock it was more like a ninety minute episodes that they only get like three quote unquote season or series so this is a different mark for long longer farm you know John you're talking about the the twenty four episodes seasons this shell falls into that category especially when it started out first quite a few seasons were about twenty four episodes long so if you want a little more of a longer haul with rich character development this is an excellent recommendation from the dive into the mystery side of it I'm about the land mass and I think by our listeners three one two says where can I find the series sledge hammer and I had never heard of sledge hammer I did a quick Google search I believe it's on Amazon but the truth of the poster alone makes you want to see it Blake have you ever heard of sledge hammer the complete series eighty four to eighty six I have heard of sledgehammer I have never seen flood I'm familiar with it it's a it's it's an action comedy series yes eighty four yeah it was I wouldn't call sure let me have a couple seasons will fight but at the same time if you're looking for it I'm sure if you can find it on Amazon prime it's probably gonna look a little remastered which is a huge plus because back then you know TV was four by three aspect ratio right if you want to want to really go back in time a little bit there pre HD and everything see that good eighties action comedy cliffhanger chairs right up your alley and you know what I mean I'm a pledge that I will watch a little sledge hammer yeah always good so I will I will you get a little homework yeah like we get about like well maybe another minute or two you got any other quick recommendations and why people should watch some of the things that they're looking for something different that they haven't seen before somewhere in one of these streaming services to get through all this stuff yeah I mean you know I'm always one to recommend that you know if you want to watch a comfort pick there's nothing wrong with that especially given the circumstances but I also like recommending things that I love the people and things that I love John you know I'm gonna say because we haven't spent the entire time we were on the radio I would say go watch just absolutely especially from the mayor from Charles's been needing the last couple of weeks on just about every social media channel if you're one of the unfortunate souls out there who has not seen jaws commit to watching that at some point over the next week I would I would recommend not having kids under thirteen watch it again we used to go to my grandmother's house and she had the only Betamax left on the planet and she would pop that in and we watch jaws of the age of four that's what we grew up with she never stick around out of her mouth and she be having or orange juice screwdriver at nine AM in the morning making us watch jaws only went over to Graham Hanson's house and sees a lot of things for yeah maybe call it mine all right what else I commend jobs you know recently I re watched John carpenter's the thing about it a very special remastered version of that there was a home release and I was thoroughly impressed with it if you can find that streaming on on any service or rent it for you know three or four box definitely do if you've never seen it it's been a while the special attacks from any movie out of the early eighties you've ever seen Kurt Russell gives an excellent performance in it as a sort of the the alpha dog in a herd of researchers at an arctic outpost where an alien force and taking over and you know honestly it it's a movie that age far better then when it was originally released I wasn't exactly super well received but it's picked up a massive cult following it if you're going into that little phase of isolation over the next couple weeks I want to watch a movie and a bunch of people isolated check out the thing I mainly if you haven't seen it but also revisited if you haven't lately great stuff Blake are always great to chat with you thanks for stopping by we appreciate it absolute pleasure thank you guys for having me as always blockbuster Blake Stubbs with some cool things to stream after the break we're gonna talk to someone here locally in the film industry they're going through tough times our local productions all shut down but one of them and one company in particular things that they've got the tools to be able to help combat the corona virus and help out some of our people in the medical profession to it's an interesting conversation will have that after the break and.

"Neville, told us all the stuff, you said yesterday, you thought maybe with some gamesmanship and turns out the two players wanna down the two centrebacks outnumber, right? Were right there in the starting eleven. Yeah. I think it's always smart. I mean not. Say that they didn't. They weren't question marks and Mushin is how big are those. Like what was the font on those Russian marksman knows like nine ten or was fifteen and really doubt when you get knocked on the ankle it hurts in the movement. Like, when it's, it's not a sprain, like you had to play through the pain. So I'm not surprised at how and played the illness. So, you know, Milly bright, she was that said she got she got put a tough test today. It looked like she was told to shut down Graham Hanson, from Norway, and she definitely harried Hanson enough. The Hanson, probably had her worst performance of the World Cup. Even though she stills on the bulletin to just wasn't as effective with the ball. When we saw the Norway lineup is soon as it came out. We were know if it was in the green room or in one of these hallways here, you kinda hinted that you knew what the plan was going to be as soon as you saw the lineup. What did you mean by that? And do they get it wrong? So at lend they like to play a four four two. So when uplands not in the lineup you know, that's she come. She comes in the second half as a forward is one of the two, you know. That they're going to go more defensive because then they kinda still play or save now comes in for outland and she plays that right wing bat. Right. Mid and she does a lot of defensive tracking because what they're trying to do is shut down the wings. But on she plays more on the right hand side. So today, you could just tell it was more about Mindy, like I just think the, the ball movement was so incredible from England, especially Lucy bronze on the second goal Ellen white starts that. So this is what's Ellen white had a great game. But it's not just because we're finishing or even her dummy that she might say done that we all know she was probably trying to shoot it. It just went through a legs. But what she did is she got that ball off the back played it quick to Lucy bronze continue to run. And then Lucy bronze played that beautiful ball into parachute. Then let it go. I mean, it was just so worked that it was impressive in the Jill Scott. Right. That was another player who's played in three World Cups, and has now scored in every World Cup. She's played in, but it's really Hurley riding runs and the timing of those that's impeccable because. Offense. That's really tough to pick up and the midfield from Norway very similar to do their game against Nigeria could not keep up with the pace, not baseness early on, like overall quality or what I think of their careers. But if I had to pick a full were left in this competition right now based on today's form. I think I'd take Ellen white, and I include Alex Morgan in that. Do you think she's the best forward left on form? I think her ability find pockets of space and quickly released the ball and the accuracy that comes along with her being so composed. It's almost like the game slows down for her in the box because her ability to skipper, footwork right to hit at one time. And also, it's a quality of service is getting some excellent service, and then other times, she isn't she needs to take that a second touch, but that I touch controls the ball so well. So I think yell abra Bush wrote this, and she said, you know, the one thing in the always does. Well as it strikes the ball really, really. Well, there's the technique on the ball in terms of passing and straight driving. The ball is just so good. And I. You can see that Ellen white her on the half turn her with her back to goal. She just knows where to be, and she's calm in those big moments to put away. So right now, she is, as full Noah put droppable, and I think that's a really good adjective for. So we.

"You know, Tony do then we'll play but the wingbacks for Norway our concern, they don't have a ton of speed. They like to play this total football, and they can do the quick transition, very, very effectively. So it's just a matter of how they line up and on. This is a Norwegian team that has set up differently in terms of tactics, depending on who they play we've seen them play a four four two and a four five one and it all depends on the weapons of the other team. I imagine they're going to end up the same way that they did against France and Nola fi the wing areas, and make him go central. And if that's the case then Angan was huge in that game. Graham Hanson, my goodness. Hello world. Superstar coming your way. Youngster something creative something different. Best position is out on that right hand wing, but they may need to move or centrally. But this, this is going to be an exciting game. And I think Norway will do. Well, if they can test those centrebacks from England Graham Hanson, just signed with Barcelona from Wolfsburg if she plays as well as she did in the last game. I'm I'm a little worried for that games on Thursday, the winner of that game will get the winner of the US and France in the semifinals. Let's go to the other side of the bracket, then Italy, and the Netherlands, up this to me. That's so good. It's so intriguing right for Italy. It's a first World Cup since nineteen ninety nine Netherlands didn't qualify for single World Cup until the last one two thousand fifteen and yet you have these countries with amazing footballing infrastructures that if finally kind of turn. Learned that infrastructure towards women's football and for me what we decide here is who's come the furthest. The fastest I like how you said that upset. Good job. I think also the other layer is whoever loses out of these European teams doesn't go to the Olympics, because so far, all the European teams are winning. They don't get to send. They don't have a Olympic qualifying like we do in cook, Catherine. It all goes off the world club Cup results. So this'll be fascinating. Another Lund's was not impressive after the first twenty minutes today, but they got it done. So the back line is really good for Italy. There centrebacks are incredible. How do they handle minima? How are they going to handle the middle right now? I'm more impressed with how Italy's playing than how the Dutch applying. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. I, I think the Dutch have some worries at the back, I think we saw that today for Japan. Again, my one concern with Italy would be, what kind of shape are they in, because they haven't used that many players. And if you watch their game today they were they play they play. Today. Right. Yes. Yeah. They're the they're the last those two are the last two games. Okay. You can't recover that quickly. I mean we used to play every other day. We'll get you. You kids these days with no Santa but that also. But what comes into play though is the age. So I don't know in front of me, who has younger team of the starters that does your recovery does play difference. Because when I got to be in my thirties and playing on World Cup Olympics. Then God, we had an extra day. It was like every third day, we played now it's like every fifth day. It's awesome because that's what the men get in recovery. I it it's fantastic. It limits your chance for injury and allows you to play to your bus. So it actually improves the game. But that's gonna be key for me on watching that when if you're talking about the fitness because they did look slow today, and that was a bit shocking. So the winner of Italy, Netherlands, will then get the winner of Sweden Germany in the other semi-final. And now these two teams if you think England and Norway, have some history. These two teams have some history, it is very, very, very one sided this history..

"Kate. Both these teams finished second in their respective groups there was an injury doubt before the game. Caroliina Graham Hansen had an ankle injury from group phase. Maybe she would play she did play. I would say she played very very well. We can get into that in a little bit just a crazy game knowing scores. I thirtieth minute. Australia gets an equalizer in the eighty second minute. That's a I would describe as accidental goal olympico, which I think is. The most unique you can score soccer right from the soccer kick with from the corner. Kick without necessarily intending, it, we get drama at the end of regulation Graham Hanson hits the post. We get two extra time. It's like I think like an extra time everyone's just like let's go crazy, man. It's just like it's end to end. We get the one hundred fourth minutes straight red card for Lana. Kennedy real quick Kate read for you. Yes. Yeah. Centreback saying it's a red folks like a saying it's biased because I get angry like I get angry, when coaches know there's a problem, but refused to change things. I think bec- due to injuries in due to other issues. This is a team that didn't have many options at centre-back night, but you cannot play a high line if you have a slow back line, and they play a high line and they got burned in the first goal because Highland because I can tell you I played against her slow than I played against slogan when I was thirty two and I think I might have been pregnant with twins and I was playing through it. I think we played them then, but I definitely play them that you're there before I was pregnant, which are supposed to like glance over the part where you say you played through a pregnancy twin you can play through I private star, but. But I can't. No, I can't remember if you put him a victory tour before that I've played against Slovan many times, even on my slow for Norway. Slowest day. I'm faster than her. And I think I'm probably fastened her. Now as mid forty year old she is. She's got average speed is what I'm trying to say like nothing like that. So the fact that she was still able to beat to centrebacks. She was sitting in the same with the beautiful ball and I'm going to mess up her name by save. It was one of the prettiest balls. I've seen all tournament through the seem. She gets beat once the second time she puts her arm with earns a red card. She even though Oatlands initiates it, she puts her arm it, right? Your job sling to try to get in front. But then she continues the arm right and because she's not fast, she can't. He doesn't if you're fast, you can do a little bit of the arm. But then you just cut in front because you get on, like by the third or fourth step, even if you're even you'll be able to get in line between them and the ball. The fact that, that even happened because they didn't read it really enough to drop is a sign on her, and it's also on our coach. This is a problem. We have highlighted. I have said they're overrated, not because the caliber of their frontline or because a Sam, Kirk because she could've taken them all the way, but had they played a different system had they'd been more solid on the back and look to counter attack because of their leaky defence, this would be a different team that would have a chance of all in the finals. And because you're stubborn and you're stupid as a coach. I'm sorry. You just are. This is what happened. So the scapegoat is millage. I loved them. They love the training sessions all that, but to not adjust your game. It's a red card all day long. I'm sorry, you're out so onto milch the manager for Australia. How much of that, do you think has to do with the fact that he was hard, five months before the world matter?.

"Poorly, but Graham Hanson is good. She's solid real quick on South Korea. They do finally get a goal about twelve minutes from the end of their tournament. The number thirteen mingy scores. Great great assist. Yeah. It's a nice goal. You were kind of like, well where was that the, the whole tournament, I guess, that's my takeaway on the South Korea team, just a really disappointing toothless performance from a team. We should remind people made it out of the group phase in the last World Cup and did so with four points. So got multiple results on their way out of the group. And I thought this time just really let themselves down. Yeah, it wasn't impressive from them. They didn't have any bite going forward, and it was surprising when empty so young and she'll in there. So it was disappointing from them. I did not have them going through though. Right. Except I had Nigeria because things Nigeria with Thomas Donner be the former Swedish national team coach taking over bringing over some organization, I thought Nigeria be the most poised to make a run. And now they're gonna have to wait for others. A wonder if with South Korea, there was some element or shades of like Scotland mismanaged that, that approach. And no, I think they're game that they could have one was Nigeria. And I think they were mismanagement that was poor coached selection. In terms of the players, and how he was lining people up and how they were playing. Just not effective in the box at all. And they member they did have a goal called back for offside. I think. Yeah, because their head was a little bit off side. So they this the team that underwhelmed, and it wasn't good enough, and they were in between this and the Japan group, they don't have that. You can't have that margin of error. It's not like the United States group-group group baffler, you can get away with some stuff. All right. Thank so groups a and b are done and dusted, France. Norway Spain Germany China or all going through to the round of sixteen Nigeria's, maybe they're going to have to wait to see what else happens part of that. What else that will happen that will affect Nigeria's fate is what goes down on Tuesdays games as we put a bow on groups, c and d Kate. Let's start with group c the standings, currently are Italy. First, Brazil second, Australia third Jamaica forth. It'll be Jamaica. And australia. And then Italy and Brazil. Let's start with that. Jamaica, Australia match real quick on paper. It seems like a pretty obvious Australia. Low out to make a gut stretched really easily in their last game. I think Australia will be organized enough and more importantly, they're confident they're coming into this game. Sam Kerr had been attacked on social media, homophobic, rants on her. And she came up even though she did not touch the ball in two goals. She caused two goals. Part of that she was big reason why. So here's a team that's looking now has a mission to just basically say we they've been galvanizes group. They've been whether their style, whether people are coming after them with personal attacks. They're like, I think the way they started the tournament, also some criticism, losing to Italy..

"So just something to note that if you Francis gonna lose renards can be part of that loss, is what a lot of us are thinking because she she makes mistakes, and big moments green geogra- made four changes to our lineup. Our last lineup. France had already clinched a spot. Do you think that's what we saw on the underwhelming French performance? Or did you see some actual cause for concern for this French team? Now, I saw for changes in the lineup. I saw resting some veterans and to find out how good their death really is that death had a hard time against very well. Organized conservative Nigerian team that was focused on getting a point. This team had won change for Nigeria, I came in at midfield, and that meant that they going to sit back a little bit there, of course, going to try to unsettle France with using their aggressiveness, and it was so fun. Watching more data go against Magyari, and that was such a fun battle. But if they were it was kind of a catch twenty two if they went for in got exposed, France could convert, but they had to their would they were trying to go for a draw, and we're going to need some help? Right. We're going to four points and get in. So they decided to go for the draw. Yeah. And they almost they almost worked. Yeah, it almost worked. And I think really also the fact that they lose in the end by only the one goal may end up serving them. Yes. Well in that in the math. It ends up deciding which of those four third place teams will advance the final match then Norway, South Korea. Norway winds two to one over South Korea. Norway gets two penalty goals in the first half caroliina Graham Hansen scores the first she drew the second. It's airlifts then converts it, but maybe the bigger story than is Carolina. Graham Hanson, came off after that second penalty when we look at Norway, this is a team that has won this tournament in the past. Yes, you gotta go way back to nine hundred ninety five they played very well at moments throughout the group phase, Canvey make a run. Once we get to knock out play if this injury to Graham Hansen keeps her out of the lineup or is in. No, it's straight. It's that strange. Graham Hansen is a special player and isn't she? Only special player. No, no, that's super impressed. Angen. In a different way, in a different way, in terms of coming in two years, or coming in there, inverted wingers. I our into, but I would I think like real difference makers. Maybe it's only different. You're right. She sees the game differently than everybody else. I just don't think they have a ton of depth Joe and then add, someone that has that she rolls her ankle though. So if you're going to really rank, you're gonna be really stuff tomorrow, if too high ankle sprain, you're going to play through it, but it's going to be brutal. Hopefully it's not a high ankle sprain, but it's still going to be tender. And once you get moving it'll be okay, but once you stop it. That's when it hurts. So she will not be as affective or she will be feeling pain, every time she plays if she if she if she can go on. And that's a huge huge, that's probably the biggest one you don't you won't you don't want to go down on one injuring has been wonderful. Good. Alright hand. I ain't good has was better against France. Not so much against Nigeria, I thought played poorly, but Graham Hanson is good. She's solid real quick on South Korea. They do finally get a goal about twelve minutes from the end of their tournament. The number thirteen mingy scores. Great great assist. Yeah. It's a nice goal. "We're seeing these teams kind of evaluating on the go, so maybe I'll save kind of the answer of that question. For, for, as we get further into the group final match of the day, France Norway, France ends up winning this one to two one there's some controversy at the end. Of course, we will get to that. But another big picture question. When we had these two teams in the same group, I think people thought there was a pretty big difference between France and Norway, then after the first round of games, France and Norway were two of the more impressive team. So then I think people are like, oh, maybe these teams are are more on even footing. Right. So then it became this thing like, oh, this is going to be a great game. We've got two very good teams. Then I saw people on Twitter during the game like this is the best match to the tournament. Did you feel aesthetically? It was the best match of the tournament. You I thought I thought both teams had tactical plans that were interesting in that. And that force the other team to to fail is out why with different things the best game I thought well after seeing France basically dismantled everyone, but Germany, this year, I didn't know how I don't I was like I wonder, how Norway is going to stop them with the tools that they had. And I tweeted out, I'm worried about north ways, left side, and again, Norway's left side was weaken vulnerable in that first half I almost want of DA cry. Does this. I think if she purposely just goes down there left side, and this is Johnny and Torrens right side. And then the second half, you know, suits, they totally switch when the other side. Yeah. And so either that is a tactical change, or that is a purposeful change. Where it's like, okay, you guys remember. We are better side. France is our left side. We need to use Magyari and we need us loose mayor. So I thought Norway's tactical plan was amazing. I was texting with my friend that is doing Norway commentary, and she wasn't calling this game, and I was like, how do you beat them and she's like I have no idea. But what they did decide to do is they, they gave up their attacking strength. They gave up their attacking players and drop them deeper made them play Graham Hanson deeper role Angan stepped up and played a much better game than she did against Norway. I mean against Nigeria, and they played more defensively and, but they did it in a way in which the midfield pressed..

"Looks like she's like an air traffic controller put her arms up playing like trying to make herself big Ashley PK second one so far came back ruled at a p k her most says able to push a stick it in the back of the net put Spain up. You could see the relief wash down, her Moses, like whole entire buddy. And you saw the coach you know celebrate on the sideline like oh, dear God. I I'm gonna get in big trouble if I lose, you could tell that was a relief like. Fist pump that wasn't a fist pump like, hey, we're awesome. That was like, oh, thank you. And then the second one came, which I don't agree was a red card nor in expulsion. I think it was by happenstance. It was by accident. Listen, South Africa plays on orthodox. They kicked the ball, an orthodox. You don't know what to expect. She went studs up honor follow-through. She hit the of the floor the player for cell phone. Yeah. So she gets a red card and other PK game is done, Hermosa goes the other direction you just to be clear. You didn't the second one you didn't penalty, Okinawa even close. Yeah. I just we talked about this on ESPN NFC. It's a foul. Most other places on the field case. She's in the attacking position at that point. And she's following through. Agree to disagree. Question is, whether or not there's an ex little extra to because she leaves you put up for longer video. It's really hard to knock anything on slow motion looks horrible something to keep in mind, too, when we kind of assess these, let's move onto the final game of the match this is of group. A and that was Norway in Nigeria, we spent so much time talking about knowing the context of outta Hagberg outta Hagberg outta hangover hired of that name. And man, they look like a team that a is totally galvanized over the fact that oughta Hagberg isn't there and be maybe doesn't even Mr. from a football standpoint that much they're up three nothing in the first half hour, a little bit more than that against Nigeria team that even though maybe we didn't think they were gonna win the group has a long history at the women's World Cup and should should be better than what they were today. Nigeria showed glimpses on the break of being impressive. They're end product was shocking. Right. Especially Osceola, who we were talking about data who spent some time with the wash. Kirit now plays in China. She was dominant using her blistering pace on the wing. Their front three was so fast and direct, but they're crossing like they were forced out wide. And when they're forced out wide, they had to shoot it cross it into the middle and just the end product on it. They're box organization as well as their skill in the bucks was completely locking.
