Florida mass shooting suspect killed during police pursuit

"A man suspected in connection to a drive by mass shooting in Central Florida last month was fatally shot by police after a chase. At a news conference Monday, Polk county sheriff Grady Judd says Alex green, a 21 year old with a long rap sheet, was under surveillance in eagle Lake Florida when he fled. Bad decision. He won't make any more. Lakeland police chief Sam Taylor, says investigators think Greene was involved in a January shooting that injured 11 people. We are very confident that he is in fact involved to what extent we don't know yet. Judd says green crashed into a business in Winter Haven, ran into traffic, dragged an elderly woman out of her car, and then tried to run over Lakeland police captain Eric Harper. We didn't choose to shoot him. He chose for us to shoot him with his conduct. State attorney Brian Haas says a task force will investigate, I'm Jennifer King

How Did Russia Gain Access to Iranian Drones? James Carafano Explains

"Iran. I just mentioned Ukraine Jim, we talked to Jim carafano vice president heritage. Can you just for the sake of those who aren't national security wonks like us? Just walk us through this thing that Russia is using Iranian drones to bomb civilians in Ukraine. Can you explain how that happens? Well, I'll give you one better. Go ahead. How did those growing get to Russia? Get to Russia. And the answer is they were put on commercial Iranian airlines, and they were thrown through airports. Some of them like Heathrow. To Russia. So there's a big hole in the sanctions regime here. We're letting the Iranian commercial airlines funnel weapons. To Russia. And the other reporting, which is kind of mind boggling is there are Iranians in Ukraine, operating these drones. And some of them have already been killed, which essentially means Ukraine is a party to the conflict. And every single sanction that we're committing to the Russians, they should be committed to the Ukrainians. So

How Do You Not Have a Defense Budget Two Years In?

"Reason we have the federal government, originally it was only meant to be for interstate commerce and defense and foreign affairs. How do you not have a defense budget two years in? Well, how do you spend literally trillions of dollars in unprogrammed spending? Inflation reduction act, infrastructure thing. COVID thing, right? You add all that up. That's several $1 trillion. Not a nickel in there is for defense. And then of course, the impact of inflation is that you're actually losing defense funding because the 10% inflation. Right. And this is while we're actively supporting operations. In Ukraine, China is building out its military every day. Iran is as dangerous as ever. Russia, okay, maybe it was a paper Tiger, but if Putin survives, it's going to be just like Germany's defeat after World War I. The first thing that Germany started to do is how can we rebuild and come back better next time? So Russia is dangerous. Iran's dangerous North Korea is probably tested nuclear weapon by Thanksgiving. China is getting more dangerous. And we are basically funding important things like drag queen shows on bases. Training in the gender pronoun training in the navy gym. Yeah, right. The important stuff. And not even just in the military, you know, the State Department, they just report $20,000. To fund drag queen shows in Ecuador. That'll go down. That's what your tax dollars are going for. Not buying uniforms and ammunition, not your children, volunteered for military service and going, and we will find money that if your daughter needs an abortion, will pay her travels. Get your best friend that picture, it's on your phone and send it to bob and cherry dot com. We didn't have time and more on some of the news for this story, but we have to bring it to you. Like today's more end of the day, it also happened in Lakeland, Florida. Lakeland, Florida appears to be competing with Port St. Lucie for attention and more on the news. So this is the story of a pregnant woman who was not mclovin, the service she got at McDonald's. We have some sound for you, bob. Good afternoon, everyone. I'm Josh Benson. And I'm Stacy scheibel. Thank you for joining us. A pregnant Lakeland woman is wanted for criminal charges after a ten minute temper tantrum at a McDonald's. Sheriff Grady Judd says after she became enraged with the amount of time her order was taking, she stormed behind the counter and made a mess. Justin schicker is live at that McDonald's in Lakeland to show us video of the outbursts, Justin. Josh and Stacey, good afternoon to you, both this major mc meltdown happened at this McDonald's yesterday evening, the suspect has been identified as 22 year old Tiana Jones. Let's have sheriff Grady Judd explained in his own words why deputies won a book her in the county jail. This is going to be Mick interesting. Look right here. She's a pretty lady. But she was a McMahon. There was no commoner down. She was in a McRae. I don't know if she was like two fries short of a happy meal. Or maybe it was she was short of a happy meal completely. But she created a McMaster. And she acted like a mcnutt. But you know what she ended up burglar. She didn't get her happy meal. Or her sandwich or a chocolate shake, or a sweet tea, but she managed to get herself into a lot of trouble. And we're not going to give her any golden arches, but we are going to give her a pair of silver handcuffs. And you can make money just by helping us find this lady who went crazy for no reason. And there's one thing that you need to understand in Pope county. We don't put up with that Mick junk. And sheriff Judd tells us this McDonald's had to shut down last night for the cleanup and witness interviews with deputies coming up new at 6. We'll play for you some of that angry customers call to 9-1-1. Anyone can help locate Tiana's Joan should call the Polk county sheriff's office or crime stoppers. Live in Polk county, I'm Justin sheker. 8. Bob sat there with his face in his hands for that entire story. That was like a peak moment for that guy. He got to do it all. He got to use every McDonald's joke he did. And he never broke. I'm just wondering how big is that market? How big is that TV market? That was a lot of time to spend. I think that's Tampa got mad at McDonald's. I think that's Tampa, WFL. Is that a big city? That's a big market. The news director evidently knows what's going to attract viewers. Eyeballs these days for local TV news. When the McDonald's employees asked her to leave the videos priceless, we'll post it. When they asked her to leave the McDonald's, I mean, her twerking is amazing. She said, I'm 5 months pregnant. And these people don't know how to run a leap in McDonald's. Listen, when you're 5 months pregnant, anything's possible. You could go completely nuts at any time. She went crazy. She would not leave bob. And instead, and the whole twerking thing was that like ten minutes long where she was like yelling and twerking, that's a long time to twerk. Especially when you're 5 months pregnant, I'm going to just say it I'm a little bit impressed. I really am. It takes. How did the twerking sort of coalesce with the anger? You know, I just don't, I guess the pregnancy must have had something to do with it. I think she was working off some nervous energy, perhaps. I've just never seen that combination before, usually the twerking, you know, at some place that you expect, like in front of the orange juice section at the supermarket. But I've never seen it. Do you know what I said a coupled with anger? Twerking plus pregnant plus rage plus McDonald's, this woman is a legend, seriously. Now, did you notice that that TV station they opened up with something on your side? I'm Brad so and so and I'm Stacy such and such. It was such an ultimate local news little snap. So we'll get this, we'll get her post it. Mama mik torquing at the McDonald's and becoming the Mac burglar, according to the sheriff. Straight to head, we're gonna take you down the rabbit hole. Nicholas cage answering the most Googled questions about Nicolas Cage. It's next. Bob and cherry. Bob and sherry, with the people's movie critic Lamar. You know, it had a little balcony and kids moved up the balcony and they'd get the candy and they'd throw it. At the price of candy today, I hope they're throwing it. Hey, Lamar. For $8 a bag, I eat the M and ms and then I eat the bag. I try to burp up the taste a couple of times. I mean, you know what? If you make us mad, there's no speak to each other in the liquor store. You should have seen us avoiding each other last night. I mean, for me, Bill Murray's life. And he didn't like bacon, okay? I mean, they're both comforting. They trigger wonderful memories, and they both make you feel really, really good. It's like to see who's cheap is the best performer for people that are cheap ing exactly the the last year we capped at two thousand jeep. Awhile when it's it's eighteen thousand acres and we use the vast majority of it and it's different trail rides so you can have everything from a ride through the woods to little hill to bigger heels. Do actually climbing structure so it's every level of jeep bill. You know what's interesting about that. Okay it's a compliment but you can't get that many best friends together without problems. Almost seven thousand people that showed up. You know how many we had to put out what that's great. That's good well. You got four best friend. Best friends on this show and we have more problems than that. We're putting one out of four so the end of the day. I mean you could bring your kids there. They can't they. They come from all over the united states. We we had said we kept it at two thousand jeeps this year in about six or seven. Maybe eight thousand people but it is so much fun and it's cheap. I think it's like a hundred bucks jeep or something like on a cheap but it's got a new car and you throw a little sheriff star on your jeep juicy. People new though there was no confusion. When you're on your show that i never had a jeep. Although until this happened. I thought well i have to go out and buy a jeep and i did and then they should have given you a jeep right. You know what there. There's ethics problems with the my second my first g my wife said i. i'm not gonna shift gears. Because she's the real boss you know so ball be and it was automatic and i thought it was really cool. We put we put a big kind of military star on it and it was totally awesome and it was automatic. Tough at the station. Come showing up an automatic cheap. Are you gotta you gotta admit that. That's tough showing up and seeing the boys and saying and it's it's an automatic. Yeah and then. That one wasn't good enough because she didn't think she could get enough of the grandkids in it. So i'ma third jeep l. k. So if if if you don't want to be addicted don't ever start it because it is really cool and a lot of lot and with this this year we raised after we paid the bills. Almost two hundred fifty thousand for our charity. Wow yeah and what is what is. Gp with judd give to notice. It was a charitable organization to the pope sheriff charities which is our five. Oh one c. Three and then we disperse it right back into the community for those. That are less fortunate that need help. Nice nice that's fantastic and sheriff. Thank you for going to dc. And we're gonna police reform bill. That's one thing that's been really erkin us on this show that it's been over year coming through on it so it's where you went up there to to help move it along. We hope that we can move it along quite frankly..

"I was a sergeant with the mother. I'm sorry with the sister. The guy who was elderly. Because i was a young sergeant so elderly could have been anything over fifty at the time gray hair and the yes and and the guy pulled a handgun and told them to leave so the deputy call for me. The deputy retired out of the military so he been to war before he told me he was actually older than i was more experienced retired marine said. Look i think this person is just mad. Just mad with a sister. I think you. And i can talk him down us in wall okay. That sounds cool to me. You i write for. We walk around the edge of his house and he set in on the front porch. Will you know what he put that pistol away but he got him a dadgum rifle. Spotted shoot laddis. Well i could hear the bullets. Flying past me and through the trees grew bro. She pep at that so we ran and the good news was he. Missed flow parameter set. And why we're waiting for swat. Will he continued to shoot at us. So this same. Deputy that i was telling you about the other story about the negotiator. He's coming to help set of parameters. And i'm telling him do not approach from the south cleaner with us lives up from the south and the guy starts shooting at him and you hear him the thinking the same guy you here. Hey let me make this stuff up. So anyway we got him out of the way for he got shot full of holes and then the swat team came and finally the guy came out of the house and charged at the swat team with a gun shooting at us and of course that was the end we we bought him for much. You could read a newspaper through cheese in that in that kind of a situation maybe The other officer was correct. At the time he was so mad he was just good to go out. No matter what what he determined he had reached age in a judge in life he was He was a veteran of of world. War two or the korean war. I can't remember which one and he had you know after we find out later. He shot his gun. A lot shot at people was control and he was not going to the hospital. He wasn't getting help. He was done and do suicide by cop. Unfortunately he thought it of wedding I'm glad he missed demystify. Cloudy miss to glad You mentioned you're elected which you are just anyone run against you at this point because it seems like a foolish well today you know. I say my prayers. I think the people polk county as well. I was just elected for the fifth term. The i share in one hundred sixty year. History to get elected for five terms and i was elected wishing gold six shooter or something very which was political year so if anyone was gonna draw opposition you would've thought it was last year so i'm grateful but i i work. I work hard every day. Know but the excitement of this is after all these years. I still wake up most mornings before. The alarm goes off to come to work to a christian community. You don't campaigned us. We'd vote for sure. But i think that's interesting. I feel like you're you're branded justice Transcends partisan right or partisanship. I young people just know that you're gonna take justice very seriously and you're going to execute that justice In a way that's fair and that's a that's exciting to me as a guy that loves justice. Not as much as you. You're passionate but man. Well you know. I i i meet with the democrats. I meet with republicans. Sometimes democrats disagree with me sometimes. Republicans disagree with me but none of them can disagree. That i don't always operate in their best interest. Because you know what we're all americans you know. We're all good people we. We've let this republican democrat way out of control and that's unfortunate all's people have a right to be. What do they want to be. And people have a right to have opinions. And you know just because your opinion doesn't coincide with my opinion doesn't mean we're supposed to put a hate on each other and the reality of it is there. There is no difference in a republican sheriff or democrat sheriff or an independent reshare for a nonpartisan share. If they're doing the job the right way it's just how they get elected and that varies across the nation. But i can tell you. I love all the people. I'm not mad at the crops. You know they you know they do. The wrong thing is just business when lock them up you know so at the end of the day. That's that's what. I think my success historically when you get elected sheriff the first time that's the pinnacle of you popularity and it starts to dwindle over time because after all your deputies are writing tickets arresting people reply being property and putting people out of their homes up. That's not popular thing. But what i'll have found is it's the way you do it and the way you're sensitive and if you have to put somebody out of their home on a quarter try to help them find another place. Compassion has to help but also the press conferences can't hurt helped the media the press conferences and social media helped. Because they see me they see my heart the true me. I like to cut up and laugh and have a good time. I wanna send a message that i'm here to protect you. I'm here to protect everybody. But i'm not putting up with any foolishness. I'm thinking all those to enforce the law. I swore an oath on a bible to uphold the constitution and the laws of the united states and florida. And the most people that end in your community obey the law. And they're the ones we're supposed to pay attention to. They're the ones you know we're supposed to protect and the criminals the thugs you know. They don't wanna go by the law the not jail for rape taxicab to the jail. Scott red blue light. Sola what you said about a couple of minutes ago about like the democrats republicans and stuff. We might clip that down. Because that's the whole point. Hard factor too is. We're not we're not partisan but went instead of cleaning cleaning up the streets. It's with dick jokes insulting people some similar hard factor in the whole county. Sheriff tried not to take it too seriously right in the morning right. Sheriff do you ever give a like they do in the movies. Like when there's a bad guy out there that like the your deputies to collar the ever like slam like an eighteen year old bottle of scotch on the table and be like first person the collar this guy gets this eighteen year. Bounty bounty system for national bounty system thought of that That that may give me a new idea. Usually why wilson guys we need this guy. Jail real betis dangerous. So y'all go home to you find it and usually you know That works because sometimes about two or three days and when they get sleepy they get more determined. Jimmy knapp sheer avendano. What's what's west. Got me thinking about the fugitive. The movie the fugitive great movie. Great movie and i'm thinking about. Is there like any kind of sick detective work. That comes to mind or really interesting clues. That may have solved a crime. When's the last time you arrested a one armed man. Yeah it was. What's the coolest investigation you guys ever went through over there. you know. There's a lot of cool investigations and a lot of them are tied to dna. Now right. which is the last cool. Yeah well the thing about it is. We had a murder that was years old. We knew who did it at the time but we absolutely could not prove it. Because we didn't have dna so years later we were able to submit and this has happened on several occasions. Dna and the labs were able to say. Hey here's the guy who who committed your cry so.

"It to share. I'm elected because i'm sheriff. I'm elected so there are therefore i have to do the political thing but that's a necessity in order to serve the people i believe i'm a servant leader for the community. I'm the servant. I work for you and my folks. Do i have the best deputies in the entire world the best support staff they go out and work really hard. Put life on the line. That's that's all i wanna do. I'm living a dream every day. I mean i go to bed at night. You have trouble sleeping. You count sheep. I have trouble sleeping account prisoners going into the hawk. Speaking of the deputies and stuff are you hard to work for or are you like you gotta be in before me and you gotta leave after me or you like. Oh your daughter has a recital get out of here. oh no no no. I love my deputies wax. You when they're out here doing this very difficult job. They got to know that the boss has got their back. Now i m. I make them work like a rented meal but but whenever they need to be off for the recital or the softball game you know. We work schedules around. Because family's important and if you don't take care of the men and women that work with you and care for and love the family that they need to be within it doesn't work out but but we hard charge it work but we believe in family time. How do you not like a special bar. He has to go. When you're on charging now you know. I tell folks if if they need uncharged they need to go to. Somebody's house right if they partake in adult beverages uber. Cheap good call. Yeah because i it gets real ugly if they get in a vehicle after they'd been drinking and they drive and other deputies arrest them because they will them you know they have to go live someplace else to so. I'm pretty tough. You know we have to set the right example for the community and we covered. We had recently where you head Relieved some people their duty potentially even put them in jail over de evidence tampering. Yeah what was that about. Well we had we have over a thousand deputies and we had three of them that were that had this lady And i say that kindly because she was dealing drugs and took seven hundred. Twenty three dollars will it never showed up in evidence. Now i can tell you. I've been here. My entire adult life and one of the three of them took the money and the other two covered it up. I was hopping mad. Now i don't mean just a little bit so we did a complete and thorough investigation and found out that yes. That's right one. Took one took the money and the other two got scared. And we're going to help him out. Well of course the lady pleads down to misdemeanors and then she walks in the front door and says hey light had my money back and this is how professional this organization is anybody that files a complaint. In any way we check into it but she really wasn't complaints. You just wanted her money back and we got to looking and found out her. Money was never put you sheriff. So that's an interesting point because You know i feel like When you deal with criminals lot everyone's innocent right and and when you deal with crazy people. Everyone's saying so i'm curious is did you get a special sense like six cents from this woman because she was just saying. Hey i want my money back. You knew she was telling the truth because it's written down right or do they not only her word against the actually. They wrote that. They seized money. That's that's and then they took it well. Plus there was seven hundred dollars three people. There's three people involved with a bigger score than seven hundred dollars. That's well at the end of the day. When you've got a thousand deputies doing the right thing and you got three of them you know that doesn't bother me. I'm so some agents was would have just given her seven hundred dollars back and dealt with it internally. Okay not me. That's not the way it works. We example here so we not only locked all three of up. But i held a press conference and stopped around on them. Because we don't do that stuff. We lead from the front. And i was not going to let the three of them. Taint the thousand great deputies work hard and but if all agencies did that across the country we wouldn't be in this mess we got right. That's a good point. You're you're setting the tone. You're trying to set the tone for the team and say like hey we're going to run things the right way. I believe you got so angry at them or it was a press conference right around than that. We covered that. You said you were gonna throw them under the jail. Not even in the you were just gonna put them under the jail and what that means. Well you know that that means you're jail right. But the but i was hot hot about that but hey look you you know. This is one of these things that there are many agencies in this country that would tried to hide that gave the money just gave the money lady your money back or either three or out of the and said she was crazy you know. They wouldn't have given her a voice but you know even drug dealers get voices when they're right and and we just do things the right way here and but it works for us. It works for this agency around this nation when people were throwing rocks and bottles and all kinds of craziness in this county. Our folks were bringing us food into the district stations and put signs up front that they love the sheriff's office. Deputy would go in a restaurant to eat four days out of five. He couldn't even pay for his own bill because somebody had picked the checkup so our community loves us and us. But it's because we do things the right way. We hold people accountable..

"Commit crime we'll run through you like sherman through georgia. That's that's amazing. That makes sense. And i love that but i feel like you may be have had to have developed a keener i to to identify a crook because in most states in the union if you see someone with their shirt off right Under the wrong circumstances your antenna immediately go up right but in florida. It's the state of not rocking. Your shirt that's part of the culture down there. So how do you identify crook from just a good time having tourist when you're you're on patrol but one thing that makes all that easy is croat's only have about five brain cells And all of them are never working at the same time you toss him a puzzle saying when you look and you see them you know you know they're morons on method i call them and they're easy to spot and they just do dumb stuff they just dumb stuff. I mean they'll do stuff like still guns and then new cell fees and posted on social media the run-up down here you know it's share of. I'd like to challenge you. What's what's the point of stealing a gun. Yeah world on social media. You know well. Of course i've got this gun. I just got out of new york. I'm in florida vacation. You lebron probation. What can i say and to your credit to. Isn't polk county one of the larger counties in florida it's between like tampa and orlando correct Geographically we're thousand square miles right while populations little over seven hundred thousand and bait and were spread out. You know most people you know they bill from the city centre out ourselves building from the county line in and as a result. We've got huge developments. Spread all over the four corners of this two thousand square miles right. Crime can't escape the i. I'll be driving through a pasco county multiple times fourth of july week. So they've got family and hillsborough a married into hillsborough and pasco county and brother and sister-in-law in orange county. So i'll be back and forth through polk county. Well you'll be safest one you're in polk county because we sure if what is your and that's it that's very interesting. We noticed that polk counties is account. And we don't honestly cover that often unless we're talking about you and how how your administering your special and unique brand of justice but we love your press conferences. We think they're fantastic is era. What's what's the secret sauce. What's your recipe for justice. Would you say and how does that differ from others. Well i think it's following the law. I think it's wanting to keep the community safe. you know. there's not a week goes by. Somebody doesn't tell me that. Hey i moved from new york. I moved from from I guess new jersey connecticut is the one this week. They said we didn't know where we wanted to move. But we looked at the crime rate and we looked at who the sheriff wise. And we'd look at where we thought we'd be safe. And that's why we came to polk county and i think the magic to this as i tell people the truth i say what most people are thinking all the time hand. The reality is if you wanna be a thug in a crook you wanna do stupid stuff and get away with to portland oregon. They seem to like it out there. Speaking your press conferences. I wonder if criminals like ever like are like. Oh shit i got arrested grady judd. Because they get they get really insulted in these press conferences and rightfully so. Do you remember this guy. He's he's a large man to remember this guy he's Here's part of one of the operations. Do for child pornography bust. I think you've done many of them. I forget what it's called but A lot of the child porn guys off the streets here. So here's what's going to. We're gonna. I'm gonna play what you said about. He weighs in at a slim five hundred twenty pounds and he didn't fit in the cars but he does fit in the county jail and we will feed him. Well is f freestyle or broza budget. Or how's he doing. That can eat himself to death. I don't know i don't know where he is. You know when he asks from four chickens for lunch with all that was a little much he he. He's one of the what we call. You're sick puppies series. Sheriff can you get a sound buddy. You think puppies place 'cause lobbies sick puppies grow up. Be sick dogs the end up to be dogs in prison. You know what i'm saying. We is the we'd go after sexual predators online that are trying to attack our children. We go after those that are trying to victimize young ladies and make them victims of human trafficking. We go after drug dealers. We go after gang bangers in trying to shoot up you know kids in neighborhoods at our folks in polk county to like that. They like to know that. In fact i was. I was at an event last night where we're gonna do a press conference about it later on and some of the gang bangers one of the selfie women were at a crime scene. But i think. I'll take pictures with him to the opposite. They wanna get arrested in polk county. It's amazing to me that that i will have people in jail. Tell me. I want my picture away. Now they're inmates in my county jail and i'll tell them it's no problem. You behave when you get out of jail. Come in the front door the office and make an appointment and i'll get my pichu you and they do and i do you know about you know out. I'll give him a pitcher with with whoever wants. My speaking of that sheriff judd plans to run for any type of office besides sheriff in the future Given all this we're talking about. Everybody likes getting their picture. Taken with the and all that Do you have your eyes on any other offices. Well i thought about emperor of the world. Okay you on moscow's that right. He's he's going for it. But i don't have enough money to compete with alon must so nah The truth is i have been offered the opportunity to run for house of representatives to run for the senate. You know what people don't understand is what i really am as a street cop.

He's a quote machine interesting fellow he basically was It was like a live press conference just for us. Great job press conference and it was awesome. Yeah so i guess without further do. Here's the grady judd interview. Welcome to the show legendary florida. Sheriff from polk. County grady judd. Thank you sheriff judd for joining us today. We really appreciate you taking the time. Well certainly my honor to be with you today. How are you all doing very great. Pretty get better now have share very very excited. We told you a little bit before we started rolling here but this show has been running for about three years. We've been covering a florida man news every single friday during that time. Needless to say our audience is seen and heard a lot of your work From that time period and for the folks at home Grady judd has worked his way up to this position of sheriff polk county after joining the sheriff's office in nineteen seventy two as their youngest employees of all time if wikipedia is telling the truth. Is that true. sheriff. Yes i was four years old at. That's when you got your first caller. Yes well that's i mean it's impressive talk about florida men and you know all all ranges of florida men on on every friday show and you have you were born in florida. Join the sheriff's office that long ago and the now work your way up to sheriff i mean you. You're you are like the florida man really on. I can't think of many others top that. What's next because we allowed to talk about what you were doing last weekend. Well i i you know i like it when people say nice things about me she on your head were you a dc last week Last week i was in dc. I am the past president of major county sheriff's of america. And we're working on this police reform package we sheriff bob gualtieri and i worked with house speaker sprouse and the to create a state system and now we were there last week meeting with three of our. Us senators. senator troy scott and senator booker. And also lindsey graham senator lindsey graham giving our input because the house version of this police reform was just some rid really crazy off the wall stuff. That's not acceptable Most people i would say ninety nine point nine percent of the cops and certainly not the senate so the is working on the versions because every one agrees that some police agencies in this nation the police before some police agencies are on the cutting edge but unfortunately the media has taken individual bad events or individual bad agencies that don't follow practices best practices and extrapolated that to lead people to believe that all police are bad. All police are violent and and and is just a false narrative also. They're not oh okay so the end of the day. We're trying to push back against that. Say look there's eight hundred thousand cops you know there someplace there. Some agency that recruited the wrong way higher. The wrong way didn't tried Retain their own people when they do something stupid. That's not decorative of all eight hundred thousand of us. Sure it's a big issue in. It's obviously going to take some time to negotiate all that because it's been going on let me ask you. How did you see how big the lifts were and lindsey graham shoes. Does he have like. Did you notice how many inches he was packing. The lifts guy. He was actually sitting down at the time. But stand up. Settle to leave and he won't ever be Nba star pokes that little guy. Well sheriff john one of the Most recent events we covered From your handiwork. Down in polk county was operation Dirty water and so wanted to give you a chance to see. You know your thoughts on that since that's a fresh one An international organized crime ring essentially So wanted to hear you know you you sort of break down how to how do what do you think about that. And are you seeing more crime of that of that style. We talked about it on the show a couple of weeks ago. What do you know the national media wants to ignore. The what i call the ten thousand pound red elephant in the room and that's drug trafficking and drug abuse and what is occurring the border right now contrary to what the politicians tell you is a crisis and let me underscore is a crisis and not only is it a crisis with the people flooding across the border but we know that the organiz drug smugglers are pushing through a group of people and why border patrols tangled up within their driving large amounts of methamphetamine and other drugs across the border. We see fifty million dollars worth of math. That came in liquid form in five gallon buckets across the border and this drug went to atlanta. We were working an undercover operation in central florida. This particular crime group wanted opened up a pipeline into central florida. We work with department of homeland security. Vhs and as a result of that we're able to bust up this operation but that was the mistake coming into paul county a we we were on them like a jcp. The landing spot was was their fatal flaw. Now what are the one of the women was a believe like a resin. Opole county right. They're using her. so what. what was the situation. What was she like living in a normal house but she had like a ten lamborghinis out front like was real. Flashy like you know. It wasn't near that impressive. This lady that delivered the drudge to us the first delivery right she came out of atlanta. She had been released from federal prison for doing a ten year stretch. For what dealing in math like mac at wasn't rehabilitated. I guess she was still on probation delivered. The drives you know. We didn't know who she was.

Also, when you have the ability to go longer with guests, it also allows for a bit more of an organic conversation. You sometimes end up going places that you didn't think you would go. That's just where the conversation when it's and that Z impossible to do When you're talking to somebody for 567 minutes. You just have to get right to the point. And I'm sure you have a couple of big Topics that you want to make sure you hit on and then it's over. Ryan during the run up to the election. I had to interview some spokespeople for the parties, you know, politician, people. And that's what they did is they sat there all day talking to people like me. And they had their talking points, you know, ready to go and I had a limited amount of time and a certain amount of questions I wanted to get in. And they would I mean, honestly, if you would ask them one question big talk straight for seven minutes. Yeah, so you're kind of put in a position of having to interrupt people. And, you know, sometimes I felt like I was rude, and maybe I woz But in a podcast with the cut is more of a low pressure thing. If people just want to talk, you can kind of let them do that. And then maybe for time purposes. If you want to trim it down a little bit, you can and The first podcast is where Sheriff Grady Judd And, um, you know, I got to ask him some things that you wouldn't normally talk about. If it was just some live thing on TV, where you had a couple of minutes. That is a great local official. And I would also say slash personality to interview for a debut episode of a podcast. I'm joined by Rick L'm Horst. Spectrum Bay News nine anchor and host of Brand new podcast to the point Already. Let's talk about Sheriff Grady Judd for a minute because And I'm sure you were able to dive pretty in depth into his life and his line of thinking, But I've always viewed him just based on what I've seen on TV. As somebody who was almost auditioning for Fox news hits or something like that, But what I've heard from people who know him really well is that really has no interest in doing any of that kind of stuff. When he's up there, putting on his show that's just how he is. Ryan. You know, one of the things that we talked A lot about in the first episode of to the point already is what I would call the Grady Judge show. I've been covering Grady Judge for her no 26 years even before Getting is nine. And one of the interesting things here is that all people can understand this. I think the sheriff knows that we in the media know That He knows that we know it's partly a shown. I don't say that in a demeaning way towards what Sheriff does. The sheriff. The sheriff understands. The power of a good sound bite. To communicate. Yep. When the TV crew show up for his quest conference. We're all waiting. Everybody's waiting for the Grady judge sound bites. He knows that So one of the things I asked him is Hey, you know, sometimes before the press conference, you come up with your line. And then when you come out and deliver you think Yeah, man. I nailed that well, he said. It's kind of up to us. You know, to decide if he nailed it or not. But I really think that the sheriff And I think he believes this the way that he caught in kind of like everyday personal speak. People relate to that. And I honestly think it probably helps him. Have a better success rate. And, um, solving crimes because people hear him say bad things about bad people, and.
