"To speak with you. We talked a bit about CPAC yesterday. Here on Wdbo, Of course, their straw poll no surprise showing Trump still owns the party which we've talked about in the past and without Trump running our governor, Ronnie D far outpaces the other potential candidates, but You know, this is a sample of Trump's strongest, most dedicated base. What is your What is your take aways from the CPAC. Yeah. I mean, it's so interesting to watch. I mean, I think there was this There was this big desire among. I think the more traditional conservatives in the party that kind of take the party back post Trump. I think a lot of them kind of selfishly probably wanted Trump to lose in some weird way, even though it meant a lot. A lot of damage for their party. I'm talking about people like Romney McConnell. I think a lot of these guys were just tired of, uh, tired of of the noise. I think from the Trump administration and and not even that Trump was making all the noise but all the noise that came with him as far as the media. I mean, the media spent so much time screaming fire every day. I think a lot of people just you know, it's just it weighed on everybody. But the truth of the matter is is that what the president was doing just resonates with a lot of people. And and they're not going to be able to shake him, so they're going to have to learn how to embrace him because it seems to me pretty evident that he's probably going to make another run. I can tell you. I was just at his golf club in Bedminster last week, I did an interview with him and one of his buddies came up and said he loves the show and stuff and a guy that also plays golf there, and he's like you got to see these new golf bags. We just got You know, they say trump 2024 on them, and you know we couldn't get him. We couldn't. We couldn't get made out of China because Donald didn't want anything that's made in China, So we had to get a made in Australia and in my head, I'm thinking Wait a minute, and Trump is aware that you made these golf bags that say his name in 2024. I was like you start putting it together. It just seems like he's going to do it again. Then he owns the party. I mean, he changed the party. He made the party dramatically better. He owns the party. It's his party. For better or for worse, like it or not, If you are a Republican in that small percentage of Republicans, that's not a trump fan. You're you are in big trouble. And Trump is sounding more and more like he wants to run again. Yeah, I think I mean, I just talked to him a week ago. I mean, he's the same guy. He hasn't aged. He looks better than he did in the White House. He lost some weight. Uh, he just He looks healthy and he's definitely motivated. He's all about 2022 right now, but he definitely wants to get back in the realm. I mean, he's playing golf a lot, and he's just hanging out. But I don't think that's what I don't think that's what he runs on. I think he needs he needs some penny juice and then reduced for him in politics right now. He's not just going to play golf and just, you know, disappear right? And perhaps, you know, perhaps the ultimate decision will will depend on what happens next year. Speaking with Rob Schmidt of Newsmax TV, Rob, I want to shift gears quickly to what's happening over in Haiti. When you worked for another network. You were on the ground after the earthquake decimated that island. You spend time there. You've talked to people there. Can you explain to us quickly why the United States needs to be involved or do we need to be involved in stabilizing the government in Haiti? Well, that's I mean, that's the million dollar question, and I mean, we we we talked about this, and we did a little comparison between Afghanistan and Haiti and whether or not it's our job to do to to take on these kinds of operations and make these decisions, you know. I mean, at the end of the day, I don't know. You know, you look at it from all sides. And, you know, obviously it's totally destabilized right now. They don't have a president, but they were. They were in a rough place before this as well, You know, At what point do you just have to let people kind of figure things out for themselves? I mean, we're gonna we're watching right now is Afghanistan is destabilized by the moment I just saw a video earlier today of Taliban guys, you know, shooting unarmed, You know, Afghan security forces the Afghan people that were working with us to try and Stabilize that country and bring in some sort of democracy, which obviously was a terrible decision and 20 years of our, uh, efforts that have gone to waste in that country as well. It's going to devolve right back to where it was very fast. With Haiti. It's it's It's a little bit different, because obviously there's no. You know, political, weird extremist faction there that wants to, you know, kill Americans and commit terror attacks and stuff like that. But this is a country that For like 40 years has has just been one of the most corrupt one of the poorest, most impoverished nations in the Western Hemisphere, if not the worst nation in the Western Hemisphere. So They've got this long standing record. I mean, when you talk to the Asian people, I mean, they just they just casually say every president we've had for the last 30 40 years just comes in, steals all the money and leave, so I mean, they've got a huge corruption problem. I don't know that us trying to stabilize it, You know, but it's the same problem in Afghanistan. What happens the moment that we All the way. Does it just revert right back, and they need to figure some things out for themselves. How many places can the United States be The big brother of how much? Of course we're going to supply humanitarian aid. But how much humanitarian aid? Can we supply into How many places and how many different places around the you know around the world? Can we be involved? That's Rob Schmidt, host of Rob Schmidt tonight on Newsmax TV. Rob. I'm sure you'll be breaking down President Biden's comments today on voting..

"So the other guy who's racing took a state offer and pled guilty toe vehicular homicide and unlawful racing and is now serving a six year prison sentence. So the other kid who got all of the time was not offered a plea deal, instead decided to an open plea to the court, leaving his fate in the hands of the judge. Nash gave him four times the sentence. Murano and gotten in Murano, Um Going for six years. They'll say, I'll probably be out in four So I get it. This is the kid that actually the car physically hit the woman. But that is a that is a large large gap in the appellate court is now agreed to hear arguments on the appeal motion. If they grant the defense request here will be given a new sentencing hearing and prosecutors would have the Victimsfamilies testify again. So you know Don't even really feel comfortable saying it's wrong because There's a family out there who lost their their daughter, their wife, their baby. They're grand baby and knowing all of that, it's very hard to say This kid shouldn't go away for a long time. But when you look at what the other kid got, and when you look at what other People in situations like this have gotten. It's nowhere near that. So I I do probably foresee this being overturned in some form or fashion and him getting a reduced sentence. I think it is pretty messed up that one of them got the plea deal, and the other was not offered a plea deal Well, and you know, I wonder if it's messed up or not, because that kid although he was racing his car was not the one that hit the woman in the baby, So he was racing, but I don't know it, Z She is a good point. Should he get the same exact punishment as the guy whose car physically hit them? I don't know. But then again, if there's no race taking place if half of you know if the racing counterpart is erasing the other guy probably would be driving this fast. So there's definitely blame to go around and is not spread around evenly at this point. We've been talking a lot about the situation with unemployment in the state of Florida, and things are about to get tweaked even more when it comes to Unemployment and what you're gonna have to do. If you want to continue to get an unemployment check. The customers are back. But many restaurants and businesses across Florida say they need more help to keep up with the man they could soon. Seymour application start to come in thanks to the reinstatement of requirements to receive unemployment benefits Starting today, anyone receiving unemployment benefits We'll have to submit proof each week that they're actively looking for work in the Bay Area. That means submitting at least five applications each week in registering with a local career source center. The labor shortage in the hospitality industry has caused several restaurants to scale back hours and shifts so This is happening everywhere. I don't know why I thought it was mostly just a Florida thing problem because we're getting back to being busier quicker but making the trip up to Georgia. We hit spots in Georgia multiple spots that were closed or were half closed or red short in their hours because They can't find anybody work. We went to Ah, no. One of your favorites, Joey. We went to a Duncan that was was closing periodically throughout the day, and we're keeping the inside closed and they had a note right on the door. That said, we can't Week. We can't staff so we can't have the inside open. We went to a restaurant that was up in the mountains in McCaysville, Georgia, and there was a sign on the door. Hey, we're ready. But we're only seating half of our restaurant because we don't have the staff to keep up with the full restaurant, so it's happening everywhere. The money that was coming in is going to stop as of June 26. That's the extra federal $300. So you know, a lot of people have a problem with this. They think they're taking money from people that need it. But at the same time, I think we have to take it away to try and help the business is out there on I understand that sounds cold and callous to some. But if you're a business owner Who can't thrive or can't even work, not because there's not people to come to your business, but because you can't find employees. I think we owe them a fighting shot as well. And when we pull this money away and make the requirements a little harder now, with five applications a week, I think maybe you're going to see some of these jobs come back. And if if you are a business owner out there, I would love to hear from you if you're having a tough time locally. Staffing your establishment. I would love to hear from you 727579125 or 1 807 711025. Let's take a break when we come back. Lots and lots to get to the bear. I feel I ever since we started talking about bears all the time. If you haven't seen it. That is absolutely insane. That is pretty much a woman who could be elderly fighting off a bear. With her bare hands, and I mean her her actual hands. "Florida has the lower death rate, and I was the number one landing spot from tens of thousands of people leaving the number one hot zone in the world to come to my state. So we've succeeded. And I think that people just don't want to recognize it because it challenges their narrative. It challenges their assumption, so they've got to try to find a bookie man. Maybe it's that they're black helicopter circling the department of Health. If you believe that I got a bridge in Brooklyn, I'd like to sell you. Good God. So it's a bit Bitcoin scam. Yeah, and and and they were still sending tweets from their account up until three minutes ago. We got a live alone That might be the lighthearted news that we need yellow color. Hi, guys. I definitely think you, Khun blame Ron. Understand? I just When you look at the fact that we we Yeah, it is. Okay. We don't have a mask mandate in this state and I want to. I want to be honest, I I lean left. I voted for Andrew Gillum. But just like you guys were saying at the beginning of his governorship. I thought he was doing an amazing job was appointing Judges from left and right side of the aisle was taking care of the environment, which is something we never expected. Any Republican governor to do in Florida, right? And then he just he I don't know if he showed his true colors as a shill for the president, or if it was just a true honest, mis understanding of what flattening the curve actually meant. Because he treated it like it was a destination like we have gotten here. Flatten the curve. We're good, too. And I wish he was right. Like we always He was right. I would have. I would have forgiven him for spiking the football. If he turned out to be right, we'd be like hell Yeah. Governor Ronnie D four more years. But unfortunately for all of us, look where we are right now and we go. Well, you know, I do battle with where does the responsibility of our leaders? I mean, as somebody who you know, in general wants less government. You know, where does the personal responsibility kick in? But at the same time, the tone like that? I just said it was like we got to where we needed to be When we started re opening. I don't know. If there was enough of Hey, this could go south at any minute. So let's not pack bars and let's not, you know he's back in. Let's not gather in groups of thousands in the streets and things like that, just to be. Transparent and safe, But we didn't get much of that. So I know that people need to do the right thing. But they also need to be given the proper information to do the right thing, and I don't know if from our local You know, government if that's what we were getting old state I want Less government in my life, just like you do, But I think there are times when we need direction and without direction we packed bars beaches. Nightclubs, etcetera. And look where it got us. We're on the verge of being shut down again. If we had a governor who wasn't so insistent on businesses not dying, which I like that the businesses can hopefully stay profitable. We'd be shut down right now. Well, that's the thing. It is Also a balance that we haven't really talked about. Within this form of discussion is he wants people to go to work. You know, I'm sure that it's much bigger when it comes to the money. But when you open things up, it's because you want to get people back to work, which I understand which I think everybody understands. And for those Who were out of work and went backto work to hear us talking about how that was a problem. I'm sure that pisses people off because they weren't surviving. The way it wass. So how do you How do you balance human life and And how much money you can make and how you support your family? Because I think they're all connected to grab alive. Hello? Who are you? Hey, Eric. What do you think, man? Ah, well, I wasn't really that John had mentioned a minute ago. Ah, well, personal, OK, bling. I got you. I got to let you go. I'm sorry. You agree with us, and I appreciate it. But your your phone was just a football phone. You gotta live alone. Who are you? Hi, Stephanie. What's up? I well, I agree. Yes, it is. The governor's thought. It's OK. Blamed them for everything. A lot of people. Lot of people agree. Yeah, I work in health care. It's not a hoax. And the number one way to stop the spread is through a mask and people that say, Oh, you're cringing on my rights. You're making me wear a mask. What? We make it more shoes to go into a store. We make you wear a shirt to go into a store. No shirt, no shoes, no service. Where a mask it is the number one way to stop the spread, and if the governor had made it mandatory and a mandatory mass order We wouldn't be facing these kind of numbers that we have now, but they're there. Accurate or not, they would be much lower than what they are right on, Sister. Thank you Stay safe out there. I just wondered like this far a statewide and I know that in the big cities that matters, But there's so many places that are out in the sticks that aren't having outbreaks that don't have issues. So to tell somebody out in, you know the sticks of a latch ular something that they gotta wear a mask. When this numbers aren't that high, and there's not really an issue. It doesn't seem right. I mean, but he also has the power to go into these. You know, make cities mandate them. So if there's an issue, those should be in place, and I don't know that they're not. I don't either. Let's come back and take your phone calls. Thank you. Excellent phone calls. I'd love some more opposing phone call, to be honest with you. So if you agree, if you want to put the blame on Rani D maybe make room for somebody who wants to disagree because I like that a lot better. And when we come back, we'll revisit Nick Cannon. "Somebody else, you know. Let's just say they do and that's their business. They have every right to their opinion on a quarterback if they love a quarterback in the draft, then they should release Eli and draft quarterback and play him from day one. Go get a veteran guy behind them. And just go about your business. When I mean, the veteran I mean a veteran who's just a. Mccown type a guy to tutor them. Teach him the ropes, but also be there as an insurance policy if you need them to play. That's what you need. Not anyway manning account. Okay. Get saved the money. You have a million things you need to me. Here's what I think the giants. And again, that's just this for weeks. Now, the giants have to look themselves in the mirror and sit down and make this. Really declaration about their team. A we can take ally this year and make a real run at the playoffs. Be. We can't we have too many holes to fill or see we have found our quarterback. And we're ready to move on. A B C. And if it's a and they think they can take a run with Eli this year than every dollar every dime. Every pick should be make the team better because they have vast holes. On the offensive line on the defensive line throughout the defense. And if they they need everything every single guy that they bring in to help them plug those holes that has to happen. If they can't do that. They're not gonna they're not gonna win. I mean, they have to they have a lot of holes. They really do. And if your opinion is that they have too many holes to fill in one year. I don't think that's an outrageous opinion. Now. They didn't hit on anybody last year. They did a terrible job in free agency. Terrible. Maybe Nate's going to be better. There's room is that Nate was hurt last year after he came to the giants now. I'll take them at their word. I think Hernandez is going to get better. You played all year at left guard. I think he's gonna get better there. They gotta get some linemen. And they gotta get some defensive players. The giants lost four games last year that they lead with two minutes. Those games you gotta win. And their defense was horrid. That's the bottom line. I after the year it was poor defense, and it was an incredibly offensive line second half of the year. It was an up and down offensive line. But an incredibly poor defense. You know, the giants got more consistent offensively in the second half of the but they still had their moments with the offensive line. The other the other way on defense. They just got worse and worse and worse. Now did did breakdown players and everything else. And the giants have seen. What happens you see that? All these teams have taken the enfranchised and taken all their big pass rushes right out of free agency. Those teams grabbed their free look at them. Go down the line. They've all been pulled a write off look at all the guys that have been franchise. They're all they're all big bass rushes every one of them. Because those guys are worth their weight and gold, and they very hard to find and very expensive to get. Listen to keep positions the haunt positions to fill in the NFL quarterback. Expect to get one free agency left tackle, very expensive hard position to fill almost impossible to get one. Pass rusher. Very hard to get one very hard to fill good corner. Same thing these guys they not available. You don't find them as very rarely? Are they available in free agency? You gotta hit on a guy. Teams lockup those players at those positions. Specially those positions. Peten eating town, New York. What's up? Hey, what's going on? My question about the giants. Yes. If the giants had no intentions of reciting Landon Collins, why don't you take? They tried trading him. And getting a couple of draft picks. They deter snacks. Well, number one. I don't know for sure that they had no intention of bringing them back. I have you'd have to them that rather than me. I did check in yesterday. When these reports started surfacing about what they were offered. They told me they were not offered anything higher than a four for Collins. Snacked a five member for four or five something like that. I think I think it was it was either four or five. I don't remember. Yeah. The bottom line is. They said they got off at a four firm. You could make a case they could take it. If they if they knew I think part of this is. They had a decision to make. Okay. Yeah. They got a decision to make. We collins. I think they also were worried about Collins, and whether or not he was going to be happy. If he didn't get the contract now, if they franchise them he had said, he wasn't going to be a happy guy. If they franchise and players always say that you want to call their bluff, maybe they felt you know, what we don't want to call his bluff. And maybe they just felt he wasn't the right player for them. Because let's be honest in the system he was asked to play in with a new defensive coordinator last year. He. Governor governor Ronnie anchor I'm glad they didn't France. He's a he's a good run stop. Or we know that he's good at the line of scrimmage, but he doesn't come up people, which we know. And last year he was put in a position where he's gotta call the people and he had a nightmare. Mike in New Jersey. What's up, Mike? Hey, how you doing? Avid statement about John. Oh, I think the committee shouldn't overlook VCU when today turned out to be a solid program. This year is wealth borderline top. Listen, you know, how the system works. And they've changed the system this year little how they evaluate the player the teams and the performances based on quads and everything so the. Everything gets taken into account wins get better or worse based on how a team goes along. But they have twenty wins. I think they gotta take account that they have had some of these losses with Herod hurt errands been really if he for the last eight games or so. Yeah. They have beat Villanova that win against Villanova on Sunday on Sunday afternoon at the garden where they were down twenty nine ten was an incredibly important win for them. That was a huge win without that. I would not be nearly as confident as I am right now that they're going to get in. I think that win was enormous. It really was I I agree with you without Dave you're on Saturday sleep. Well, I think all win their first conference game conference tournament game one or the other. If they win now is is not gonna be an easy game the way they've been playing we know that. But I agree beat save you all when you first conference game. And then you won't end the tournament, you won't be and hopefully it's not against the hopefully against providence in the first round because they just don't play well against providence. I know they lost twice at the Paul. But I read out the Paul and the providence providence just matches upgrade against Saint John's. They really do. John and Danbury what's up, John? One gonna the Yankee question to ask you is wanna yes or no question is the therapies make the tournament yesterday. I have to I'm not I haven't really paid attention. I gotta go. Look at them to say, I'm not ready to give you. Yes. Or no answer yet. The Yankees do a lot of these little injuries Severino. Are they really are? They making you nervous. And do you think they can't Yankee Derek kinda kicking themselves in the behind for not going after more starting pitching in the off season? No, I am the CDC thing is I think he's your fifths daughter anyway. And I think you'll be okay. The Severino was not you were not expecting. That can always happen. I think with hap and Tanaka and Paxton, I think you have a very very solid threesome before Severino. I think they have enough arms to cover things for a while. And I think they have clearly the where with all the make a trade when they need to. So I'm not that worried about it. Now premier pitching talent. That's always hard to come by. I mean getting pitching is one thing. Getting good pitching is another thing. It's not an easy thing to do ever. You know that? So from that standpoint, you know, you all worried about replacing a guy like Severino. Absolutely. The guy was an ace last year. So I think it is an issue. But again, just take one day at a time. It's all you can do. I don't think you panic. Like, I said teams never never have enough pitching. Okay. Who you are you never have enough fishing. So we all know that this is the way pitching is. You know? I mean, the bottom line is. I don't care. What team you are? You can always use another pitcher everybody can if they say they can't they're silly. That's all there is to it. You know, then he says they don't need more pitching is just not paying attention. You need Scott Manhattan. What's up, Scott? Yes. Just curious your thoughts on this. I can't take on this. Not familiar with any Conceico news. What's the can Saco news? Ken Saco is apparently actively like courting Kibo to get him. I heard that a couple you'll be all he said was he said I could if Tibo listen to me and let me instruct him. He could hit a fifty home runs. Well, you know, what listen can Saco says stuff like this all the time take every year can Saco comes up with something in the spring to draw publicity to himself and. Why what why wouldn't you? But why would you believe? Does is been trophy winner. The national Weiwei. Why would what credibility does those Conceico have that? He has this magic. It has this magic instructive ability where he is going to be the one who unlocks Tiba while the you know, what I just come let let them come. And prove it. I what does he want? Does. He want cash does he want to be? You said it's completely free that he. Let them come to let them come to. The big, bulky guy. Let them come to hokey got again. I want him to do it for free. Let them come through. I'm sure people talk to him. So let them come to camp and talk to people talk to him.
