Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Is a True Leader
"I saw somewhere last night online. That charlie crist a opportunistic textbook empty suit of a politician. If there ever was one he is now a head of ron disentis. One of the finest governors in the country. Charlie crist is supposedly slightly ahead of rondo. Santa's in a hypothetical matchup for governor in florida. You're not gonna hear charlie. Chris say things like this. Here's run to santa's taking on the lawless by demonstration ministration and the befuddled Out to lunch joe biden. You want to hear what a leader sounds like. This is what a leader sounds like. Why don't you do your job. Why don't you get this order secure and until you do that. I don't wanna hear a blip about cova from you thank you of course under attack. The left hates this guy and you know why they hate him. You know other media hates him. 'cause he's gonna be a force to be reckoned with in the years ahead rhonda santa's with some clarity on the masks for kids rhonda santa's shane parents get to decide. If you wanna mask your kid up when you send them off to school knock yourself out. You're not gonna let anthony fao. She tell you what to do. More of rhonda's sanchez yesterday in florida. We think it's really important that parents make decisions about whether kids go to school with mass or not so. If certain parents feel that they want their kids doing that. We're not gonna prevent that. We have a lot of parents including me. Who doesn't think that's healthy for our kids to be wearing masks all day and i know people joe biden think the government should force kindergarteners to sit there under these mass for for six seven eight hours a day. I could just tell you. Laura in florida last year in our school districts we had some that had mass requirements others. They didn't the ones that didn't those counties had lower per capita cases than the ones that did and so it's not proven to really impact viral transmission in schools. And so that's why. I think it should be the parents decision. And it shouldn't be mandated by the government.
Florida Again Breaks Record for COVID-19 Hospitalizations
"Florida has once more broken a record of covered nineteen hospitalizations according to data from the U. S. department of health and Human Services the number of people hospitalized for COPD nineteen in Florida rose to an all time high of just over eleven thousand five hundred but Florida governor Ron DeSantis would like to stress the lack of fatalities due to the number of seniors that are vaccinated even the Mets a lot of positive tests you still see much less mortality than we did year over year you know that's important any answer just like these come and go it will probably come back in the winter just like last year not as much as the northeast but but we'll see hospitals around the state have reported a noticeable drop in age of the covert nineteen patients I'm showing up where

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Says Unilever, Ben & Jerry's Better Watch Out
"BDs movement Um and Unilever and Ben and Jerry's, for God's sakes, who eats that crap anyway? But I'm just moving on. So anyway, they've taken a very, very anti ice America move against the state of Israel, and, uh You have a law in your state? You've triggered it. There's a process that you're going through and you were saying something else. So Florida did it. Texas has done some similar in New York and 33 of the four biggest states of the country, and we all have pretty big pension plans. And since then Unilever's lost a lot and their stock price. And so Ben and Jerry's only represents a real small portion of the company. But for whatever reason, when they acquired Ben and Jerry's, they let them have their own kind of Social awareness Committee that makes these decisions. So Ben and Jerry's made the This decision, and they had the right to do it under the way the corporation structure, but it's really bad for Unilever. So I think they're going to have to do something to reel this in because it's just totally unacceptable, and it's going to hurt the company, the large the parent company with with with what they're doing, but it's totally ridiculous and we're going to bite back and I'll tell you we did this early in my tenure as governor against Airbnb. They tried something similar. We did it, we bit back. An Airbnb changed their tune. So I think Unilever is going to have to change their tune very shortly.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Says It's an Individual Right to Vaccinate or Not
"Of Joe Biden's effort to convince people to take the vaccine to get the way he calls them? They're not so smart if they don't that do bullet belittling people. Turning them into second class citizens. Talking to them this way as President, United States is that effective? Is that a way to persuade people to do what you you claim you want them to do, Governor? No, not only that, though. If you look there now saying where Mass. So they say, you have to get vaccinated. Otherwise you're stupid, but those who are vaccinated. You need to be wearing masks because they're basically saying the vaccines don't work, So they have terrible messaging on all this. And you know my view on this from the very beginning. Was when it when it first hit Florida. I said, We're going to give it to elderly first, and there was a huge demand for elderly. We go to nursing homes. We go to senior communities we put in our retail pharmacies. We did a whole bunch of good stuff. But we said it's going to be available for all but mandated for none, and we're going to give you the information and let you make a decision about what you want to do so and the seniors in Florida we have over 85% that have done it. But you know, I was at nursing homes where we brought vaccine. Some of the residents decided not to and that was their choice. We didn't make value judgments on that. We tried to provide information, free of mandates free of any type of coercion. Um, and I think what Biden is doing is basically sending the message that you know you're you're somehow less of an American. You know, if you make choices that are different than what they want, and there's mark. There's some people who have medical conditions where they where they can't do some of these. Some of these vaccines. There's millions of Americans who have recovered from covid and have immunity and it is good, durable immunity. You have all these different factors and they really don't show any recognition of that. But I think the more they get on their high horse. The more they try to browbeat people. Eyes think that that they lose even more people, and I think anyone that's on the fence about it. Um, you know well, many of them will decide not to get it at that point.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Illegal Ailens Speading COVID-19
"Got a kid in kindergarten, they just said today they want the kid muzzled with a mask. Even though covid's not any risk to the kid. If you have a loved one overseas, they may not let them come and fly. Just normal travel because of covid. They'll claim, But yet if you want to just come straight across that border and have thousands of people pouring in They don't give a damn about covid. At that point, they're letting them right in, and I can tell you I've sent people there to help Governor Abbott because the federal government has dropped the ball. So we have Florida another state stepping up to help. Texas actually took a trip out there about two weeks ago, and, uh, it is unbelievable What's going on out there and it's you know, you have the drugs, which is important. Criminal aliens, which are going to cause huge problems throughout our country. But the sheer number of people coming through there and all they do is they just give them a citation. They say. Hey, call this number and set up a date for your own deportation hearing. Well, no one's coming for that. These guys are gone. They're going and they're out into our country. And so this goes on for the next 3 3.5 years. You're going to have millions and millions of people, and it's not people just from Mexico or even primarily, it's from over 100 different countries. Yeah, When I was there, we saw people from the Middle East. You saw Asians You saw Haitians. Really from anywhere. People know if you just get to that Southern border That's your ticket into the United States illegally. And the bite administrations just going to let you right in. So how could you possibly have restrictions on U. S citizens because of covid, but yet have people pouring across and not just people pouring across. They're coming from every Part of the globe coming across the Who knows what the hell kind of pathogens they're bringing in. In addition to Covid, and yet the CDC does not care at all about that. And I think the reason is ideology.

Death Toll in Florida Collapse Rises to 4; 159 Still Missing
"About a hundred and sixty people were still unaccounted for a day after an Oceanside condominium building collapsed in Surfside Florida the way it is so difficult for Joshua Spiegel whose mom Judy is missing we understand this can be an extremely long process and that this excavation may take weeks if not longer and we're gonna be here fighting every second as to what caused the deadly collapse governor Ron DeSantis says it will take plenty of time to find that out anyone who is affected by this directly once that answer but also we need to know is this a bigger issue or is this something unique to the building first responders are using dogs and microphones in an effort to find people I surely after

"Theory the hyper sexualization of america. Caring about people's skin color not character is now right in the new cycle around the tragic killing of eight people in georgia now. This story was very slow to surface to the top of news. Usually when there's a mass shooting immediately it gets politicized for gun control however the democrats and the activist media including the new york times have realized that. There's a better way to get power. You say. I remember growing up that whenever there was a mass shooting. Democrats immediately went to gun. Control arguments instantaneously now. They realized there's something that sells papers better and is able to get public support. And that is the race war that they want to see happen. In america remember the critical race theorists damon young. Who says whiteness is a pandemic and all the education of our children. They are focused on making america. More racist caring more about people skin and so the front page of the new york times says rampage in georgia. Deepens fears of rising anti-asian hatred in the united states. So trevor noah. Who's a very irresponsible person. And he's just not funny. He isn't but he's an angry man. Let's play cut seventy nine. Here's what he had to say about the tragedy and yes. It is a tragedy play tape. This is truly horrifying eight. People dead six of them. Asian women and soon we'll learn all about them and who they were in life but all we know right now that they are dead and a twenty one year old white man with a gun killed them. We saw it coming. We see these things happening. I mean i'm i'm so done with this trump wherever you two weeks ago when a black man killed an asian immigrant in san francisco. Did you even cover that. He was profiled for his asian american race by a black man. Do you know that. Most of the anti asian-american hatred in the country has been black on asian american. Almost all of it. So this is the latest in the narrative that they're trying to push but the vast majority of all these conflicts according to the guardian according to the bbc according to the washington post has been black on asian-american but trevor noah that doesn't fit your narrative. Does it and by the way there is no evidence and there there might be evidence that presents itself but there is no evidence to show that. This was racially motivated. One more tape. Of trevor noah. Making a fool of themself cut eighty..

"Discrimination is an action. Racism is not something that you can feel or touch it is an attitude is a belief system and if you look at the fundamental issues in the black community the number one issue is absent fathers. Now you read this damon young piece that says whiteness is a pandemic almost no college. No professor and very few students are being exposed to this. So he makes the argument here white supremacy which is a by the way it's an undefined. Villain. do you notice that they're never able to specify exactly what white supremacy is. Is it a person. Is it a cause as an organization. Is it a region as it a people. It's very vague. And it's intentionally vague. It's intentionally vague because once they start to be more specific will then we'll be able to either agree or cross examine or de legitimize their arguments. So the less specific they're able to be the more power they're able to assume under that narrative says white supremacy is a virus or remember. This is a new york times columnist. This is not some black panther member in georgia that like other viruses will not die until there are no bodies left for it to infect so basically we have to go abolish all white people or we have to go fight white supremacy in our time. Basically calling for the genocide of white people is what dan young is arguing for. Whiteness is a pandemic. this is where this is headed. Our education system is creating the most racist generation. Sense the kkk. And jim crow. Most americans do not walk around obsessed about other people's skin color. They want that to be the case in the obvious question that we get emailed us all the time at freedom at charlie kirk dot com. Why because once people start organizing themselves based on tribal group they become a lot easier to command and control more likely to obey you see multicultural pluralism. Which for a brief moment in american history actually enjoyed made us the lease racist country and the history of the world and the most decent. I still think we're there but we're losing it because of our intentional actions and intentional steps that we are taking and you look at this texas student newspaper column from a couple years ago. Where were the parents in texas doing anything about this. They didn't they just shrugged it off and they laughed at it where it said white death will mean the liberation for all says until this remember. I hate you because you shouldn't exist white people. This was an article written in the texas state school newspaper a couple of years ago and this is one of hundreds of examples that we have and so this racial reckoning that we're supposed to be told because of george floyd's death which more and more looks like a drug overdose not a police officer that was in murdered him but the jury will decide that we have a video completely on that topic and there's so much misinformation around that it's stunning. Because of that one specific incident were supposed to unravel all the ties that bind us together. This is the most important fight. That's happening that. Most republicans are afraid of the reason. Why the democrats and liberals have been able to assume so much power so quickly is because most decent people are afraid of being called the r. Word.

Theory play tape florida's civics curriculum incorporated foundational concepts with the best materials and it will expressly exclude. Unsanctioned narratives like critical race. Theory and other unsubstantiated theories let me be clear. There's no room in our classrooms for things like critical race theory teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of tax payer money. It's phenomenal standing. Ovations what he deserves for that and for every moment that we dedicate on this program applauding and supporting encouraging governor onto santa's. I can't help but think we're as governor ducey doing this. You know that. It's the curriculum in the arizona. State board of education to teach teachers that babies are racist. That white supremacy is something that every white child has within them from the moment that they are born we should judge people based on their skin color and yet florida which is supposed to battleground. State is courageously leading on this issue. Governor brian kemp who is completely worthless. He is not smart and he has no courage. He's to be found on this issue on voter integrity on the lockdowns nothing. How about governor. Lee from tennessee. I've heard nothing from him on. This governor dewine from ohio. The point is that republican governors. If you want to actually gain support in your state. What a great issue. And you might say well. Charlie critical race theory. I've heard you talk about this a little bit. How does it actually apply. isn't it. just some sort of esoteric academic theory. You take you say yeah. That was a nice vacation but it wasn't as nice as the four seasons in philadelphia and the same can be said for politics and also makes you ask the question. Why aren't other hotels at that level. Now of course that metaphor might seem somewhat unrelated to politics. But the more i see governor rhonda santa's i ask myself the question first of all. How incredible his leadership is right now but also. I asked the obvious question. Why is he the only republican governor in the country saying these things. Why is he the only republican governor that has an open state does not have a mask mandate that has opened schools now. Other states have opened their schools but he was on top of the chinese corona virus and against lockdowns in may of last year. James lindsay senecal theories who he wrote with helen pluck rose and they bring that view of power struggle of class struggle to race that all white people are in charge. All black people are being oppressed. This is a very serious problem and it's not just a fringe viewpoint in the academy. It is in our military and our civil service. It's in our corporations. It's in most schools. Now what an amazing opportunity for governor. Brian kemp.

"As always there's a lot to talk about governor Ron DeSantis holding his news conference earlier today continuing to ramp up testing in the state the arms count all of our Orange County leaders mayor Deming's Orlando mayor buddy Dyer sheriff John Nina all in a news conference today updating us on some of the local numbers as well it's a pretty much a debate now to open or not to open what to open waiting to open it all of that we got a lot of open mikes you can pick up the phone to discuss that with us if you have any questions up pretty much about anything hopefully we can help you out if we can't help you out certainly another listener can help you out that's what we've been doing here now for five weeks turning the radio station over to you for your questions or comments or concerns your opinions and again there's a lot to talk about tonight one of the hot stories this probably get national attention parents in Hillsborough County stealing the free food from the school lunch program and selling it online for a lot of people talking about that Harvard says they're not going to return the millions of dollars that they got even though president trump last night in the news conference said Harvard is going to return the money they said the body they got was not part of the US small business program didn't come from the small business program we're still trying to get some clarification on that cause them where did it come from but they say all of the money that they got will be helped to use students that are financially affected by the corona virus pandemic there so again eight four four two two zero zero nine six five cabins we get rolling tonight I I need to give a shout out to my wife okay and my neighbor Maddy who both made me some awesome food truck okay all right well Sandra of course as always yeah your neighbors well who just stays providing you food what you got on the main so we've got some chicken cutlets with cannellini beans okay that's from my wife nice some deliciously lightly fried chicken cutlets cannellini beans and my neighbor gave me some barbecued pork with broccoli and rice so that is you're even earlier that's what I was eating earlier you had was smells great in your breast you thanks I got a salad so mad if Maddie's listening Maddie shout out to Matt in Charlie and Barry give you some extra food for my colleagues every few just what okay all right never mind I let the fluoride I guess I can get my wife to give you some extra food instead of asking my neighbor to give yeah I was sad about your neighbors I really met your wife in real life but I haven't made a neighbor's yet so all right again if there's anything we can do for you unemployment obviously still a big issue and as you know okay have we discussed this earlier we've we're we're seeing reports we've seen several reports that the unemployment in the state of Florida is going to be retroactive as that's one of the questions we've been getting all along you know they've been talking about it they've been kicking around people keep asking us but we haven't officially heard yeah we haven't gotten the official word I was hoping government the Santos was going to say in the news conference yes we've decided to make it retroactive the the person that's in charge of unemployment now Sadler I forget his first name is but he was supposed to be in the news conference and I thought that's when they would announce that he was not in the news conference but again it's looking more and more like I don't want to say definitely because it's it's still unofficial but a lot of people are reporting that the Florida unemployment is going to be retroactive so for all of you that filed two weeks ago three weeks ago four weeks ago you still haven't gotten anything hopefully when you get it it's gonna be a big check retroactive check we heard from a couple people last night can have that got the federal money they signed they've managed to sign up for unemployment because we're still hearing from people that just can't get signed up but some people that were able to get signed up finally got the six hundred dollars the federal unemployment but not the Florida state unemployment yet yeah so I'm looking at the claim tonight from the Florida department of employment kind of see how many claims have been processed at this point out clearly thirst a long way to go overall in the state of Florida just twenty eight and a half percent of total claims have been processed and all those claims a member or of all those claims in general as well just fifteen point nine percent of those claims have been paid so it's already been hard enough just to get process let alone actually get the money so far you know we've been talking about thousands and thousands and thousands of people have been signed up for unemployment here of these past couple weeks and that's a pretty daunting stats with only fifteen point nine percent of those claims have been paid when we are now well over a month into this pandemic yeah absolutely and we've been hearing that frustration from listeners and you know when you finally get through and get signed up I would imagine that has to be such a huge relief right like you know I finally did and I'm finally signed up but then nothing happens then you don't get the money yeah no I I mean it's it's definitely valid like you said a lot of people are waiting on that time is certainly of the essence and you know even when you've got it process you're not necessarily out of the woods yet we've had multiple people say that they've gotten their applications process but they just haven't got the money so all right so one way to go if you got signed up for unemployment and you got money if you're one of the few people that received money let us know about it if you've gotten signed up let us know how long it took you to get signed up if you are still trying let us know how long you have been trying to get signed up it's an extremely frustrating situation we talk about it every single night and we really really feel for you folks eight four four two two zero zero nine six five if you we really feel for you if you have not been able to get signed up for unemployment or if you got signed up a few weeks ago and haven't gotten any money yet eight four four two two zero zero nine six five looks like David in mount Dora is up first tonight Hey David what's going on Hey there service master talk to you again all this is the this is David the barbecue ban yes Sir yeah good to talk to you later we just received a letter in the mail because they thanks to my name is Jay and my wife inquisitive child or so they took yours and your wife's yes third lady in and I don't know how they can take awhile because that is not heard their right now your wife would have to file what they call in injured spouse your wife would have to fight what they call an injured spouse form to trying get because you guys probably file jointly so it all goes together yeah you're you're you're correct yeah and you owe child support I am unfortunately I know I know a little bit about this myself because I I was divorced a long time ago when I have children and it's the same thing with your income tax sometimes you're you know you build they'll take your whole income tax and put it towards child support or put it towards delinquent tax if you owe tax money or something like that and then the spouse the husband or the wife that that doesn't know the money has to fight what they call a an injured spouse form and I'm I have the information right here in front of me child support is just about the only thing that they'll take the stimulus money from you for if you owe child support they will take it out of the twelve hundred dollars right below that it says any tax debt stimulus payments cannot be seized to pay tax debt cannot be seized debate pay any private debt collection or even if you owe the bank money and we heard from a guy the other night who said his checking account was three hundred dollars in the negative or something and he got a stimulus check direct deposited and you got the whole twelve hundred dollars so our child support is just about the only reason they'll take the stimulus from you and I'm sure you can understand why they would do that if you owe child support but if they took you wife's money to then she's got to do the injured spouse thing well they don't imitate take it away from our lives there isn't is not heard their right that's what that's what I'm saying they they shouldn't be taking it from your wife but so she has to she has to file what they call an injured spouse form to try to get her twelve hundred dollars back after age eighteen taking me on their server yeah I no problem and we're still looking forward to coming out to as coming out to the acme rib shack when when when when time permits didn't get brisket yeah we'll get it all calves yeah it's really all right David thank you Brad in Winter Park Brad what's going on Hey guys so here's my situation so for the unemployment I don't you know I did mine in a sort of my friend and we both have direct deposit so when it happens it'll just go right into the checking account nearly got hers and she got the six hundred dollars number six hundred dollars though that comes from the federal government she got about her direct deposit to but here's my situation anything that comes from the federal government because when.
