"I think it's offensive. You know what's also happening. I think it's it's first of all give newsom loves power. Let's consolidating power so he wants this election all about him but what i think is potentially also happening as i think. The democratic party is kind of going into this dark direction. Where they're like well. If we can't have nusa then we'll just we'll just sandbag california for the next year under potentially a republican and then next year we'll bring a democrat. I can go see you. You try to republican for year. We didn't let them get done. It's so petty like it's so petty not to have a backup option it's anti-democratic like like i don't mean to party. I mean it's it's un-american right right it'd be voting shouldn't be leaving a ballot blankets stupid. So what are you going to respond to this federal lawsuit that was filed that you want to summarize the lawsuit the unconstitutionality of the potential recall. I think it's a nonsensical lawsuit. I think that this is if and i haven't done this. But i wouldn't be surprised if you try to find out the backgrounds of the people filing this lawsuit somehow connected to the the newsom camp that listen this guy. This is a guy who sued his own administration because he missed a deadline in a law that he signed into law. Come on it doesn't it doesn't get actually reminiscent of what adam and i were talking about with almo. He extended the statute of limitations. Which allowed the people to now file criminal complaints or at least make criminal complaints in new york and you have the same thing for people who don't know e- miss the deadline to put a d. behind his name which is now saying just vote no on the recall or it's because he's worried about your poll numbers. But what are you. Why are they letting you debate. Why aren't they engaging with. I don't know. I think in a weird way some some media they like to say. Oh there's not a prominent democrat. I'm like i'm beating. Larry elder and some polls. How how could you say. There's not a prominent democrat and before i got involved in politics before i posted my announcement on instagram. That i was for governor which got deleted by facebook which is really weird because facebook donates. A ton of money to gather since campaign. I didn't start getting suspicious but sometimes like why is it that usually it's more right media that reaches out to me and not left. It's do they really want new somewhere. They trying to keep the. That's what we gotta fight. Yeah i mean the second. Larry elder announces. He's throwing his hat in the ring. The la times does hit piece on him. And i don't look. I get that gavin's on your team but is he what's he doing for you. L. a. times like you have to live in la democrat. Republican gets someone who can steer the ship. You know traditionally as i think back on it. No one really cared about what party. The super effective politician was from they. Just you know. I grew up the everyone loves john kennedy and no one thought about his party obviously lincoln. Everyone thinks it was a democrat. Now you know we don't traditionally care this much. We want a competent pilot in our commercial aircraft not really interested in sexual proclivities or who we praise to or he's a democrat or republican. Want someone competent in the cockpit. That's it that's all and by way at this point. I i've said this many times i..

"As he simply going to let it expire? Look I am all. All for giving businesses I am all for giving consumers certainty as they move forward, and if a mass gives them certainty, then I believe in the business in their ability to mandate mask-wearing, if the individual the consumer wants to have certainty when they go out, and they want to wear a mask. I believe in that individual's right to make that decision I. do not agree with a government authority forcing you to wear a mask if I don't agree with it was. Some numbers here with Weld County Commissioner Scott James these numbers, and it's something that I've been pushing actively on this program. Cases are the scary numbers that you're going to see right headlines, commissioner. You've been in the media industry you know. Headlines always say it's trying to grab attention. We are a lot of media. Outlets are using big case numbers, and then just saying hospitalizations continued rise really that the fact of the matter is cases. Don't mean much. Is the hospitalizations that we need to keep an eye on? At my agree, we have seen an increase in cases especially over the last couple of weeks here in Weld County. And that is of certainly a concern now. Here's the tough part. What we don't know is the number ended nominators so to speak with all the different agencies doing testing. We're doing testing in Weld County. You can go to your health practitioner and get a test at Kroger. An an Walgreens I believe are doing tests. There are all sorts of people doing tests now. Some of these the individual practitioners you know the Walgreens of the world do not have to report a test given all. They have to report as a test positive, so if we see two positives come out at Walgreens for example, is that based on how many tests twenty two hundred two thousand? It makes a big difference than number in the denominator so to speak we. We don't know the number in the denominator are cases on the increase. Yes, but we don't know the number of people in total that have been tested, and it's frustrating almost disingenuous when you try to right policy around the situation. Well, you talked about really not having a plan of reopening. It kind of feels like that and I spoke on us. Either governor polls wasn't planning on issuing this just two days ago, or he was planning on issuing this and just flat out, said you know that the opposite of it, so you commissioner, you know the political affairs in the dealings of that. Does this just feel like something that in forty-eight hours? What? We should probably put this in place? I don't I don't proclaim to be a mind reader I do know that I. I've got the executive orders sitting in right in front of me. It certainly took some time to prep. Certainly, he has been hearing from his advisors Did he have an attention a couple of days ago I that in the press conference he gave. Think, this is from seven nine. This is the one where he said we should all wear our damn mass and wagged his finger at us. I believe that he said then. That I haven't ruled out anything I want to do whatever we can. That will increase mask wearing now. I'm not here to argue the mask is there is is amazing evidence out of the CDC that says that the mask is a good way to prevent the spread of Colon. Now we also know. Know that that individuals who are asymptomatic according to the CDC have a very very very low probability of of spreading the disease, so very for the diseases spread by people who are sick. People who are sick should stay home..

"Thirteen ten. Kfi The whole sport story in northern Colorado state in the country tune into the whole show weekdays noon to two and thirteen ten. Kfi K walk back into Noko. Now I'm tanner Sh- went in the special edition and that may have been the fastest hour of my life. Joining me is Gayle Fallon Mornings with Gail resuming tomorrow at six. Am In gale house. A lot of a lot of information that we just got to tell you what we packed a lot in in that first our boy a lot of valuable information as news is breaking fast and furious. There's no doubt about it and I did. I'm getting texts and questions about what? What could these ramifications be know? And there's going to be those right off the bat you know rumors flying around and about how is governor? Police going to going to all those things. And I'm still texting back and forth with Commissioner Freeman here. And He. He fully expects that that governor polls will try to a intimidate them Y Weld County with a maybe sanctions of taking away funding. But there's no there's been none of that announced yet. Obviously this is brand new information So so we we expect that there could be a push back from the there will be state push back but gail what are your thoughts on on the ramifications of what could come down from today. Well I am working some sources. Some anonymous sources as you are as well Via text this morning or there you go. There's your this morning this evening. Go right but Yeah my understanding is this is from a pretty reliable source that the governor is threatening counties. That don't obey that. Do not obey the safer at home order with financial sanctions. So that backs up your source as well right and I know I know for a fact. There's been nothing specific so far in what it would look like or how that would look like and again. This is a pretty quick response from Weld County saying we're not going to be. We're not following the state guidelines. We're going to allow us for everybody so we could very well see Gale some of these more rural counties. Start to fall in line with what well done. I think that the commissioners are setting some sort of a precedent at least and there should be counties that will follow well and I think that we have seen that in the oil and wars with the passage of Senate. Bill went eighty-one Weld County saying no. We won't back down there. No stranger to a tussle with Governor Jared Polis and so wouldn't surprise me whatsoever to see other counties as you said Tanner follow suit with Weld County but the thing that just is so incredible to me is once again restoring to the people their freedoms and their liberties our constitutional rights and that is exactly what the Board of Weld County. Commissioners has done With this saver at work Move on their part to go into effect. Of course this Monday. I April twenty-seventh and this is the first announcement there's going to be in the next twenty four to forty eight hours. There's going to be so much information coming out on this. And I know you'll be having a ton of experts on a lot of those elected officials again but the word that you used about governor polls and trying to intimidate the Weld County Quarter Commissioner Board of Commissioners. Excuse me that was the term that that Commissioner Freeman said they they. They will try to intimidate us. But it's not gonNA work You know I mean if past performance is any indicator of what the future holds. I can't help the think that the board of County Commissioners will say. Nah If governor Jerry pull us does try to take retaliatory action. It's going to be interesting as we were in the middle of a special edition of Noko. Now I know we'll be back personally and O'CONNELL beyond from nine to ten but gayle fallon with mornings with Gail six to nine tomorrow morning. We'll be unpacking a lot of this. But the the main takeaways that there's GonNa be way more information being introduced but these guidelines are allowing all businesses to open with guidelines. Set following the social distancing and really following a lot of the safer at home safe home guidelines gail but it's just not selecting which businesses get to adhere adhere to those. Yeah and I think that is what is so significant because we saw for example the protests across the country we saw the protests in Denver. Because they got to the point where far too many of us were saying. You know what you are encroaching on some very sacred trusts our constitutional rights our liberties and our freedom center. We know that the government God Love Him They're kind of like a camel with the nose under the tent. And sometimes you give them an inch. You don't get that inch back. In fact you lose a mile right. It's I know there's a ton of people that have questions about it and goodness gracious. There's a there's a lot to unpack here gale. I'll open it up to you for for some final thoughts. Final comments on what we're seeing with this safer at work. Guideline that is being implemented effective. Monday April twenty-seventh in Weld County. Well once again when I so appreciate it about about The Board of Weld County Commissioners Commissioners issuing this safer at work initiative which will go into effect April twenty-seventh apparently apparently reportedly well any or could be called conjecture Two the governor's Chagrin is the fact that once again. It's up to us to make this work. Be Responsible and again. Tanner like you. I don't WanNa get all preachy. But y'all know what to do it's just exercise common sense if you want to get back to any semblance of normalcy and do it quickly as quickly as possible. Of course it's going to be very faced process. We understand that we know we might not get back to whatever. The new normal is going to look like for months but the bottom line is it's our decision. It's our choice. Not The government's and you know tomorrow on my show I would love to hear from you as the consumer from you as a business owner on the heels of this news from the Board of Weld County Commissioners. What you think about it. Because I've heard from so many business owners small business owners that are struggling in weld county throughout the state around the country The bottom line is they are. They're on their last legs aside and the only way they can survive. I mean they're they're they're digging deep. They're borrowing money from everybody taken out loans and the only way they can survive is to get back to work and they're happy to do whatever it is. They have to do to make it work. Now there's no doubt about it. And that was the whole premise. Of how the Noko? No now show started is has our business is going to be operating. Because we'RE GONNA get another wave now that that I know tonight they're gonNA start implementing hit. This is how we're going to do things. This is how we're going to go so again that. Kfi text line or whether it's gail show my show. Whatever the case is three one nine nine six you can text. The text line were shared between the two of us. Have some answers for you released. We'll We'll pretend that we've got some answers or or talk to somebody smarter than US right. Ooh That's what I do all the time. That's my claim to fame mine. People smarter than me and that's not hard to do that as well. Gail. Thank you so much for tonight. Thanks for being flexible. Appreciate it. We'll hear from you tomorrow morning at six. Am So thank you for. Thanks for joining US joining US tonight. Absolutely right back to you. It's been a pleasure thanks. This has been a special edition of Noko now for all the updates. Make sure you keep it here on thirteen ten KFI but also thirteen ten KFI DOT com. There's updates if you want the whole guidelines. Podcasts will be available as well here soon. Now look for us on Noko. Now keep it here. Thirteen ten KFI..

"Among teens in Colorado being used at twice the national average about twenty seven percent of high-schoolers are vaping state. Lawmakers are considering a Bill that would ban vaping in public areas indoor. So how dangerous has vaping for young people? Now, let's get into that with somebody. Who knows Dr Robin degrading joins us from children's. Spital colorado. Her specialty pediatric pulmonologist. Good morning. Dr good morning and thank you for having me. What are the specific dangerous vaping for teens, and is it different than vaping for adults teens are two different things. And so they thing is is tracked it to them. Because I they don't understand. It's harmful second see all these flavors, and they think that's cool. They get to try it out and even changed. They're having these contests about blow the biggest cloud of smoke. But the risks are hidden and the risks for teens are that they're inhaling particles in their lungs contain metal. It contained potentially high qualities of nicotine that are as addicting to cigarettes. It can also affect their brain and rewire with these high levels of nicotine and some of these compounds they set them up for lifelong lung disease. We just don't understand that yet. Dr are the numbers high here in Colorado because you kind of alluded to it you hear the flavors, and maybe even though they're not supposed to they are kind of marketing to a younger set of people to get them hunt. It is very suspicious that it is marketed kids because these are things that kids are attracted to Colorado has one of the highest rates if not the highest rate in the country and that is very worrisome for us here in Colorado. And one of the reasons why we have made this one of the top issues or children's hospital, and for the long section of the pulmonary section that I lead we originally heard that vaping would be safer for people than than regular tobacco. Use. Do. You think there's still that myth out there among teens that, hey, it's just you know, I'm breathing in some air or what what's the big deal. Absolutely. They just think it's flavors that they're tasting and breathing in. And you know, that's that's the reason this Bill is so important because they see vaping everywhere. They're exposed to it. They figure it out there. They see people doing it. It looks kinda cool. They don't see that with cigarettes anymore, and you know, kids wanna smoke cigarettes. They they think it's harmful. So this is really a a new paradigm that we have to tack, and it's come on really really sad doctor before we let you go is banning vaping in public spaces. Do you think that'll help curb the issue a little bit? Yes exposure and not normalizing it make a difference for fifteen. So I am hopeful and courage the legislature and governor polls really take a hard look at this Bill. It's important to kids and it's important to keep Colorado healthy, not just for kids. But all of us who might be exposed Dr. Thanks so much for the few minutes. We appreciate it. Sure. Thanks for having me scary stuff. And even I don't want to say put this in air quotes, even good kids are vaping. Well. And everybody's doing its my niece and nephew. And my nieces future husband. They're not teens or twenties. But they've been I kind of think guy under the false impression that it's much safer. Thinks that they think they think it's weaning it from doing it. I'm not sure it's necessarily as a not according to her and she should now..
