NJ State Sen. Ed Durr: New Jersey Voted Blue but the State Is Not Blue
"So as a guy who's very familiar with New Jersey politics it's a state that's trended pretty far left over the years not as much as New York but not that far behind And do you sense a change on the ground center You sense a change on the ground now given how close the gubernatorial election was with Phil Murphy where he barely barely won that election You sense the tide turning is that the parents and the schools the school stuff the mandates I mean your thoughts being there and living it now almost full time Well yeah absolutely the tide has changed but I do want to just point out you said it was a very deep blue state We voted blue but I don't feel the state is blue I think we're kind of more of a purplish almost a red slant because if you really look at where the boats come from it's on the 95 corridor and it's usually the big cities that are blue while the outskirts are red But yeah the tide is definitely changing we have seen the anger in the parents especially with the mask and the schools When governor Murphy had closed our schools his master children but then you see the hypocrisy I'll just give you a point of reference right after the election They have a thing called the league of municipalities that meets down in Atlantic City after every election And I went down there you know everybody wanted to meet me which this is part of the thing that I didn't expect the fanfare about my win But when we went down there oh I was arm in arm and with Democrats too So the hypocrisy of them forcing children to wear masks who are the least vulnerable as we both know But then turn around and run around arm and arm and know wearing no mask So you know it's all about politics

The Hypocrisy of Democrats Lifting Mask Mandates While Media Reports High Death Rates
"There's a Washington Post headline, deaths are at the highest point they've ever been. So in what universe would suddenly a governor say, well, let's lift the restrictions. Let's do away with the COVID restrictions. If the deaths are high and rising, oh, it must be political. So you weren't really ever serious about protecting people from COVID. Right, governor Murphy? I mean, the hypocrisy is so obvious they're trying to now they're trying to rewrite history. They're going to claim that Biden crushed the virus. That's going to be hard to reconcile with The Washington Post headline I have in front of me. That says deaths are rising. It's stunning to witness in real time. Is the Biden Regime Persecuting an Opposition Journalist?
"So James O'Keefe has been very effective. The New York Post has a great story on this. They say the sure looks like Biden's Department of Justice is persecuting and opposition journalist. James O'Keefe is the most effective journalist that we have on the right, whether it be VAERS database information, whether it be exposing critical race theory in our schools or people that are whistleblowing, James O'Keeffe has been a thorn in the side of the regime for quite some time. FBI and Manhattan federal prosecutors are investigating the case of Ashley Biden's diary. The president daughters said it was stolen in a burglary last year an obscure right wing website found a publishing it would at satyr pages are from about ten days before the election. Now, I'm not going to get into the alleged contents of the diary. But there's some pretty creepy stuff in this diary. Let me just say some really weird stuff. According to all public reports, and what's interesting, again, which no one has been able to explain at all is what federal crime in the U.S. code is worthy of FBI agents going after this. So just so you understand the priorities of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. By the way, are we watching for that press conference with Merrick Garland right now? As soon as you hear the DOJ come out, then they say they're gonna do a press conference on a significant political matter. Say, hold on a second. What's going on here? Not so fast, my Friends. That's something that should worry a lot of people. Not the overreach of government. But this is a pattern of tyrants and autocrats, which is to silence political dissidents. It's nothing new. It's the habit of the tyrant to want to suffocate opposing ideas, especially journalists. And James O'Keefe is the most effective among them. James O'Keefe went after governor Murphy and exposed his regime for what he was doing in New Jersey and I think largely tightened the New Jersey governor's race. James O'Keeffe has been relentless, and he has been effective. And because of that, he's at the top list of the Federal Bureau of Investigation executing, a search warrant against

"And Doyle. I'm Big Bill Doyle. You're more like a game show posts. I never Yes, That's his name. You wouldn't understand. It's a jersey but I love Jersey Jersey, aren't I? I'm from New Jersey. Only Jersey The Mighty Kingdom of New Jersey in food, New Jersey You're from New Jersey. Yeah, I'm from New Jersey. You're from Jersey 1 802 8311.5. It was one week ago tonight. That all hell broke loose, and, uh we knew it was going to be bad. But, you know, I was communicating with our chief meteorologist Dan zero today about this about something we're about to talk about. And he will admit that he and other meteorologists did not think we would get as much rain as we got. And, you know, they say that this is even part of global warming with the With the air temperature hotter and able to hold more moisture. Now that's not coming from Dan. That's just coming from me with things that I've read about this and that it's going to make things like this less predictable. Yeah, which I I never knew that. But that's what I was reading that That's not from Dan. I'm not putting words in that man's mouth. He's too tall. Uh huh. But, um You know you had Governor Murphy. Leading up to this and we were even kind of joking about it. I think on Wednesday earlier before we knew how bad it was going to get about how he was saying to stay off, you know, stay off the roads. Not just that night, but for a couple days. Yeah, it's like, okay, well, sort of inside info. Did he have then? But, uh But he he really could not have known either himself because nobody knew exactly how much moisture was going to be coming down. And, um And you've got Jack shit. Terrell Lee, who I have a ton of respect for and he's my guy. I am definitely voting for Jack. Shit. Really, for a lot of reasons, but the Republican jack to the rally challenging Governor Murphy. He is stepping up criticism of Murphy's handling of the remnants of hurricane item. And he's actually suggesting that an earlier response a stronger or a different response may have actually saved some lives. And that's what we want to ask. And I know this is all Monday morning quarterbacking. I get that. What do you think that Governor Murphy mishandled Ida. It's been a week. You've had a lot of people with broken hearts. New Jersey has the highest death toll in the nation from Ida, which is so hard to wrap your head around that it came in. As a Category four hurricane in Louisiana, and yet we lost more lives. That's nuts to think about. But of course, some of the differences They knew what they were going to be dealing with. We did not. Should we have? I don't necessarily think that's the case. Because meteorologist seem to be an agreement. That they that they knew it was going to be bad. They didn't know it was going to be this bad. So if they didn't know, how could Murphy have known if Murphy couldn't have known Is it fair to say that he should have done something sooner? Now what I do think is, uh, possibly With merit. Should Murphy have done something sooner in the night one week ago tonight as soon as they started hearing about water rescues happening in more than one area. As soon as they knew that there were water rescues happening in More than just a couple counties. Should Murphy have come on? Should Murphy have made an address? Either urging everyone but not just by a statement. I'm saying actually hit all TV all radio come on across the board and tell people get off the roads. This is an actual state of emergency. Maybe even do a travel ban. Or was it just all too late by then? Because the people that were out on the roads Um We're the ones that we're going to, you know, end up getting stuck in it. I mean, that night I wrote about this on our on our show page on NJ 115 dot com. I was stuck out there for 7.5 hours. Uh, so you know, maybe it would have done anything was going to ask you think there is anything that could have been done? That would have prevented your sojourn. See, I don't know, because if they had done a travel ban If they had done that. I still don't know that I would have done the smart thing and just stayed somewhere. Because there's always a thing where you want to get home to your kids. Course. You know you want to get home to your kids, so I might I may have violated it. I don't know. And it's funny because doing this for 11, you will get some, uh Some authorization. That allows you to travel because you'll be considered essential personnel to broadcast and disseminate critical information during an emergency, But that's only they get to work. There's nothing really legal that says, Well, you've got to get home to your family. Once you're at the station. You could just sleep your ass on the floor if you want so, Yeah, so I don't know. I don't know what I would have done, but we want to ask the question. In hindsight, it's a week behind us Now. Do you think Governor Murphy could have done something different that night? And listen, even if you hate the guy for other reasons. Maybe you think that he handled it just fine. The opposite. Could be true. Even if you love him for other reasons. Maybe you think he somehow dropped the ball on this one. Now some are saying that it was so late in the night. That he had actually declared a state of emergency and Cheetah rally suggested this two should. Ereli said that some of those people who died that night could have survived. Possibly didn't say definitively but might have survived. Had Murphy declared a state of emergency sooner. But you also have to remember a state of emergency declaration is not the same as a travel ban. And very often a state of emergency is declared, and it's really just a mechanism by which agencies within the government have more streamlined way of communicating with each other. And getting things done. Um, In fact, let me read this. This is actually from Dan's Arrow. Um these are Dan's arrows. Words, one of the biggest complaints I've seen against Governor Murphy is that the state of emergency wasn't declared until late Wednesday evening after the damage had been done. A state of emergency has very little, if any impact on the average New Jersey and it basically opens up the pocketbook for emergency spending by state, County and local officials. I'm sure the regional operations and intelligence center at the state Police headquarters was up and running well before the first raindrops fell. That's Dan's arrows. Take on it with what he knows about these weather events, so I don't know. So what is your opinion on this? Do you think that something could have been done? When you think about those 27 people who died in this? Obviously the flood was going to happen. The damage was going to happen, but as far as people being trapped all night out on the roads As far as some of.

"Most situations Governor Murphy is saying not so fast, New Jersey and we're not gonna buy buy that. Yep, It was a thumbs down on the C D. C not to get too confusing here. But they're saying on Lee if it's like an extremely crowded, indoor setting, and in a very confined space, Okay, like still on a plane things like that. I'm still on a bus things like that. But, yeah, for the most part. We could have for the for the fully vaccinated folks. We could have been taking masks off now. I will. I will say this. I'm not sure how it will work in states where they're lifting this. If for the states that are saying, if you have not been vaccinated, you still have to wear it for those states. Are they going to be stopping people at entrances and saying, OK, you don't have a mass. But I need to see your vaccine card, Or is it going to be on the honor system? If it's on the honor system? No one is going to be wearing a mask. People will lie. Um almost all people would lie. And then also, you're gonna be slowing down everything If it's not on the honor system, and if they're actually asking to flash your vaccine card, so I don't know how it will work there. But here, it doesn't matter. He said. No, Anthony and Caldwell, you're in New Jersey, One of 1.5. Hi guys. You said it best. This guy's not a scientist. He's not even a politician for that matter. And how pathetic all these governors they have to bribe people that have a vaccine. Well, who gives a cheeseburger out A shot in the beer, A million dollar lottery. Give me a break. Okay, Little while so wanna add, is that this is going to be set in this country. When it comes down. They divide this country even more. We're gonna have one half of the people that are vaccinated. None vaccinated. So we're not gonna associate with these people anymore. People that are vaccinated. Do not want have anything to do with somebody who's vaccinated anymore. I don't know. I don't know where it's going to go. Oh, Oh, Oh, and Anthony, tell me if this makes you feel any better when he made this announcement today that he is shunning the CDC guidance But he did say, basically stay tuned. This is a temporary situation that in the coming weeks they'll have word on, you know, masking I mean, does that gives does that give you any warm fuzzies and encouragement? It does not make Yeah. And you know what Election kind of election time is coming. I hope that people remember this guy. And if they vote for him again, they deserve exactly what they get. Anthony, Thanks to your calm. I did not like him for a lot of his other things. I never liked him for his sexual, His sanctuary state nonsense. I hated how he borrowed money without voter approval that we ended up not needing by billions of dollars over shooting and things like that. Um, early on. I thought he was doing what he did need to do. His first major mist up was last fourth of July, when he only gave 72 hours notice that he was backpedaling on allowing restaurants to have indoor seating. And then he's made a lot of missteps. I think since this one, though, Discussed it with him at this point, Jonathan on route 18, you're under jersey One of 1.5. Hey, guys, How are you? Long time Listener semi frequent caller. All right. So here's the deal. Look, I'm 25 him young on the millennium. First and foremost, I'm gonna preface this by saying I voted for Murphy against my best judgment because I'm young and stupid. Unfortunately, I love you know, I'm picking between a turd in a shining your turd. Um Second of all, I personally won't get the vaccine. Everybody likes to drop the word experimental in front of the word vaccine. It is still experimental. I know. Science changes over over time, and things could be developed more quickly, and I know it is safe and effective, but It's still an experiment, and I refuse to be a part of that experiment. Now, as far as the masks go You guys said it best. I lost my train of thought After you said this. He's he's going against his own rule of law, his own word. His own sentiment of Science data determines dates, right? Why is it that now when the CDC the center for Disease Control the head honchos when it comes to this kind of stuff, says Okay. You know if you're fully vaccinated, you don't need a mask or if we reach, you know, 70% vaccination. Nobody need masks anymore. Whatever. And he's saying, Ah, well, we don't really know He's not a power grab. Absolute power corrupts Absolutely right. And I have seen that time and time again. I mean, look, I'm promotion County, which is, you know, one of the most red counties in New Jersey. Even though I do vote liberally, usual. Usually, um You know, I got a lot of small businesses around me. I have friends and family that have lost, you know thousands upon thousands of dollars and businesses and whatnot by not opening up. And The fact that they're coming out and saying, Look The masks. If you're vaccinated, you don't need it. Let's open up. Let's get this country back on track, and he doesn't want to be a part of that. I consider it almost treasonous. It's like you're saying Oh, well. If the rest of the country is doing this, we're not going to do it. That's that's saying, OK, we're not a part of the country anymore. Almost. You know this was going to say without that in No, It's not that severe, but it has the same sentiment. You know, Jonathan, Thanks for your call. Yeah, well, just Let's have it. Uh, as you're hearing this news that the C D. C this week says if you are fully vaccinated, which they so encouraged us all to do to get things back to normal, right? And the CDC comes out and says, Okay, if you did it if you got fully vaccinated, you don't have to wear a mask anymore. And now here's Phil Murphy saying, No, not so fast. Not here in Jersey. "One of one point fast 37 with Tyminski into Doyle Governor Murphy announcing today that the capacity limits are being raised from 25% to 35% for restaurants and some other businesses. Do you think that's enough? And I guess we should point out that he is repealing the 10 o'clock curfew as well, which is good news for bars. Right. Although I'm reading now, this is interesting. I'm reading in one of these articles that if you are strictly a bar, Okay, Here's the line indoor seating at bars is still prohibited. Murphy says, since it creates the danger of close and prolong proximity between patrons, bartenders and servers, So I guess it's one of those things where, well, how much food do you have to serve to be considered also a restaurant and therefore then you're allowed. I wasn't taking that to mean You couldn't say that. The actual bar is that Is that what you think? That's what I That's right. I took it because that's when you would interact with the bartender. But again. Yeah, I know. In the sixth year, I guess I was going to say that when they get back, they could take some bar stools away, But, yeah, I guess across the bar. Yeah, You're right. That's not gonna be 6 ft. It's kind of lame to sit at the bar when you don't have anybody next to you for 6 Ft. All right, so our phone number is 1 802 83101.5. Is that enough? Or should restaurants and similar businesses to be allowed to fully reopen your opinion, please? Bruce and Millstone, You're on New Jersey One of 1.5. Yes, I don't believe it's enough. I do believe they should open up to 100% capacity, putting all the safety safeguards and protocols in place that they already have. Um And I do think if the governor wants to minimize the 35% or race to 35%. I think you should look for reduction and all the quarterly taxes that all these bartenders. Or the restaurant owners have been paying out. I don't see any reduction in their taxes when they take 100% capacity and then tell him now you're down to 25%. I think it's really unfair and I think the restaurants have done a great job and I think you should absolutely increase it. Yeah, you know. Okay. Well, let me ask you this and and anybody else listening. Bruce, do you think if they if they if they took all the restrictions off, I mean protocols? Yes, but I mean capacity restrictions off. Do you think that there would be, um Do you think that there would be 100% capacity, all wearing masks Practicing, you know, hand sanitizing or do you think a lot of people would still be afraid to go? I think a lot of people might still be afraid to go. I think they will self quarantine themselves and not put themselves in that situation, but from what I experienced from going out to help Patronized some of these restaurants. I do the right thing, and I follow the rules. And I believe everybody who I've been seeing have been really doing a good job to live up to what needs to be done so I would Would think they should minimum raise it to 15% of you Really don't know. I agree with you. Bruce. Have you seen a single line like a wait for a table with people? Well, maybe the rate waiting in their cars these days, But have you seen anything like that? Um, I think everybody that I've been seeing even and take out lines have been wearing the mass, and they've been trying to stay and keep their distance. I've been seeing everybody wearing the face coverings. Really yet? No, I just mean like, I wonder if there's even a demand is what I'm getting out like. I wonder if there's even any waits for a table when they cut it down to 25%. If they have more people than they have tables, But I don't know. I have a feeling that I don't know. Certain restaurants, maybe that are incredibly popular. Maybe that's going on. But I bet you for the most part, Maybe it's not unless it's a Saturday night first. Thanks to you call one place that is happening. I want to get my hair cut. Cause I got to cut it a chain. Yeah, you have to log in or checking online. And as soon as the place opens, there's an hour away, and I know it's because they have the reduced capacity right, right, But it's always at least an hour away, sometimes more..
